3405 – June 14, 2024 – Old Glory is a symbol of our nation’s struggles, and, once upon a time, our unity. We didn’t used to hear any “trigger words” in the Pledge of Allegiance. We do need to, however, think about what, and TO what, we “pledge” when we say these words: “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

[00:00:00] Hey, where you going? I gotta get home. America, it's time to come home. It's time to come home! By bringing common sense back into the nonsense. Welcome to Common Sense Coalition Talk Radio, where America comes home. Get on home!

[00:00:21] Down this dirt road you're gonna find determination and grit, opinions that matter, and a big ol' helping of good discernment. And now, the woman that wishes the DC Occupiers would stop making her use her mom voice. Do not make me come down there!

[00:00:35] Here's your host and the voice of common sense, Bethann. And I welcome you today to CSC Talk Radio. It's my honor, my privilege, and my pleasure to be here with you today. I have a lot of news that's kind of packed with it.

[00:00:52] And Daniel's gonna join us in the second segment of today's show. Let's go to the Lord in prayer. For such a time as this, most gracious Heavenly Father, we thank you. We praise you and we thank you, Father, for being the loving, caring Father that you are.

[00:01:12] And we thank you, Father, for your love, for your grace, and for your mercy. And Father, we pray for forgiveness. For the many times that I fail you, I pray for my forgiveness for me, for my sins.

[00:01:36] We seem to say that so lightly, but the sacrifice that brought that forgiveness was great. May we never forget that. And Father, I pray for your protection over this country that it seems to be so confused and divided right now.

[00:01:56] I pray that your children, all of us believers out here, will stop being afraid and start standing up for your righteousness. I pray for protection. I pray for protection over President Donald J. Trump and all those that are around him.

[00:02:20] For his family, for his home, for him as he travels. I pray for those who are in prison from January 6. That you will comfort them and let them know we have not forgotten them. And I pray for those who are held hostages.

[00:02:42] And I thank you for the ones that have been set free. May those who are still there feel your presence and know that we are praying for them. And that there are those that are working to free them.

[00:03:00] Father, we find ourselves in a mess here in this world of chaos and sin, evil. But our hope is in you. For you are the light, you are the truth, you are the way. May we never forget that.

[00:03:18] And may we be your light, your beacon unto all the world. It's for such a time as this I believe you have placed me where I am today. I can't think of no other reason that I'd be here. For that, Father, I thank you.

[00:03:38] For such a time as this I pray in Jesus' name, Amen. Old glory. Today is Flag Day. While there is a lot of disgusting gibberish, anti-American, anti-patriotism floating around in our nation today, it is still Flag Day. Most Americans don't see our flag as a threat,

[00:04:00] but as a symbol of America's struggles and once upon a time, unity. Those 50 stars represent each one of the states. 50 states coming together, each individual, each sovereign, but together united. We also don't see or hear the threatening hate speech

[00:04:20] and the pledge of allegiance that they claim to have. The pledge of allegiance. I'm just going to share it with you. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. It's simple. Of course, our allegiance really isn't to the flag. It's to the country.

[00:04:42] And it says, and to the republic for which it stands. It represents a constitutional republic, not a democracy. One nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. Now there's a lot of controversy even over that,

[00:05:01] when it was written and who it was and the purpose of it, but it stands today as our national, as our pledge of allegiance. The Democrats during the 2020 presidential convention when they had their DNC during the 2020 presidential elections, they bragged about and did it on camera,

[00:05:22] removing God from our pledge of allegiance. That sent shivers down my spine. They believe hanging the flag and displaying the flag is threatening. Perhaps it is to them and their democracy. May it die. Yes, I said it. May their democracy die.

[00:05:40] For we are a republic and that we must restore. 500% around our government. But it is Flag Day. Did you hang your flag out today? Did you wear any patriotic jewelry? I've got a shirt on that has a flag on it somebody gave me a long time ago.

[00:06:02] We fly a flag outside the office here. And we've been flying it upside down since the verdict of guilty on 34 counts for President Donald Trump came down, knowing that our country's broke. It's a nation in distress.

[00:06:24] But I have just been told that that's not supposed to be done unless there is a real danger and threat. And of course we do believe there is a danger, but it's not an immediate danger, I hope, unless the men in black start walking through here.

[00:06:42] So we don't want to be like the little boy who cried wolf and we will not hang it upside down until something else sparks us. I do hug her every morning when I walk in.

[00:06:56] Most of the time, sometimes the wind's blowing too high and I can't reach her. Rudy gets here before me and he puts Old Glory out. Do you know why she's called Old Glory? Old Glory was first applied to the United States flag

[00:07:14] by a young sea captain who lived in Salem, Massachusetts. On his 21st birthday, March 17th of 1824, Captain William Driver was presented a beautiful flag by his mother and a group of local young ladies. Driver was delighted with the gift. He explained, I will name her Old Glory.

[00:07:37] Then Old Glory accompanied the captain on his many voyages. Captain Driver quit the sea back in 1837 and settled in Nashville, Tennessee. On patriotic days he displayed Old Glory proudly with a rope extending from his house to a tree across the street. After Tennessee seceded from the Union in 1861,

[00:08:02] Captain Driver hid Old Glory by sewing the flag inside a comforter. When Union soldiers entered Nashville on February 1862, Driver removed Old Glory from its hiding place, carried the flag to the State Capitol building, and proudly raised it for all to see.

[00:08:23] Shortly before his death, the old sea captain placed a small bundle into the arms of his daughter and he said, Mary Jane, this is my ship flag, Old Glory. It has been my constant companion.

[00:08:38] I love it as a mother loves her child, cherish it as I have cherished it. The flag remained as precious heirloom in the Driver family until 1922, and there it was sent to the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C.

[00:08:55] where it is carefully preserved under glass to this day, Old Glory. So honor God and country today on Flag Day. Loving our country does not mean we have to accept the tyrants destroying it. In fact, it's the opposite.

[00:09:15] Loving our country means we have a right and a duty to restore liberty, to restore our constitutional republic, to unite those 50 states once again. To kick the offenders out of office and out of the country if possible. If you're listening to CSE Talk Radio, this is Beth Andy.

[00:09:34] Did you hang your flag out today? I hope you did. Daniel Turner, founder and executive director of Power the Future, agrees that America is blessed with an abundance of reliable energy sources. Our natural resources are the lifeblood of our nation and have made our nation prosperous.

[00:12:33] Along the way, she worked in factories, retail, sales and medical clinic and now lights up the airwaves on CSE Talk Radio. As the DC occupiers continue to drive our society into socialism and anarchy, the message to Bring America Home grows more crucial by the day.

[00:13:12] Daniel, how are you doing today? Happy Flag Day to you by the way. Happy Flag Day to you and thanks for having me on. Well, we're always happy to have you on. You've written an op-ed. I was reading that this morning and congratulations on that.

[00:13:26] You do such an awesome job. Let's talk about your op-ed a little bit. Tell my listeners what's going on. Well, thank you. I appreciate that. I wrote an op-ed that ran in the New York Post today,

[00:13:36] if anyone wants to check it out online or get a hard copy, which is hard to do where I live in rural Virginia. I once drove around for most of the morning, once trying to find a hard copy to see my name in print and was unsuccessful,

[00:13:49] but that's okay. I print them. But it is an op-ed talking about what happened in the European elections. And I think we mentioned that briefly the other day when I was on with you. But the green agenda is a loser agenda.

[00:14:02] And I'm trying to remind readers and hopefully those people who make campaign decisions, this is not going to work for you. The voters are rejecting green policies that make their currency weak, that make their electric bills high, that strengthen our enemies and hurt our allies.

[00:14:24] And hopefully this is a taste of what's to come in November. I hope so. And I'm encouraging our listeners, I think I mentioned to them yesterday, you can't rely on these polls, folks. You got to get out there and vote.

[00:14:39] Don't think you can sit back and say, yeah, we got this covered because we can't count on that. We know there's cheating going on. So you got to get out there and get it covered. And it's not just for president.

[00:14:50] You got to be in your elections locally and in your state. Stop electing these greenie weenies, as my old boss used to call them. They're destroying things and they have an agenda. You know, I don't think everybody that gets on this truck of climate change,

[00:15:07] I don't think they all believe or understand anything. I think they all believe that the earth is really in trouble. The earth is not in trouble. And we need to, but our country is, our country is in trouble. And the world is because they've been pushing this.

[00:15:24] And this is an agenda. Yeah, very much so. And I do think young people grow up in it because they've been taught that the world is in danger and this is an existential crisis. But I don't think the policymakers who push the green agenda believe that.

[00:15:41] I don't think they even care about it. I think they just find it a convenient masquerade to push an agenda that they care about. You know, I've had friends who are elementary school teachers send me things.

[00:15:56] One of my friends that is an English teacher, and it was I think fourth grade, and it was find the missing comma. And the examples were coal plants destroy the earth comma, and we need to shut them down, coal plants comma, destroy the earth comma.

[00:16:12] And those are all the sentences. It was nothing about, there wasn't a lesson on coal. It wasn't a lesson on the earth. It was a comma lesson, but the question that they created for it is meant to indoctrinate fourth graders as a given fact.

[00:16:28] Coal is bad and we need to shut it down. And if you've been hearing this in all of your lessons with these, with leftist teachers and leftist elementary school book authors, you become a little Greta Thunberg, right?

[00:16:44] You become a little 19-year-old, 22-year-old activist because you genuinely believe this. And that's why it's very hard to even reason with them because they look at you like you're crazy. How do you not believe the earth is on fire? They've been taught this their whole life.

[00:17:02] We're the ones who are the outliers because we haven't been indoctrinated. And I mean without sounding hyperbolic, but that's how radical movements are born. That's how the Nazis came to power. That's how the Bolsheviks came to power.

[00:17:17] That's how the Maoists turned in their aunts and uncles and mothers and fathers and watched them get executed because this is how leftist movements always grow. They go after children and indoctrinate them in the cause until they're defeated.

[00:17:34] But sadly, defeating them usually requires an awful lot of death and violence. And we're not there yet. But these radical green groups need to be defeated and they need to be defeated at the ballot box before they take over any more of our country and our agenda.

[00:17:50] And like I said, it is an agenda. And most of them know. I think some of them don't. But those in the higher parts of the government, they know better. And it's an agenda for power. And they're getting rich as they do it. I mean, they're making money.

[00:18:09] They're cutting deals. You know, I like to call them DC occupiers, occupying offices and cutting deals. And they're making money off of this. And we know how sincere they are about it when you see them jet setting back and forth

[00:18:23] from France every day to go to a trial. Yes. There's no curtailing their private lifestyle for the green agenda. And there really aren't any policy proposals that do not involve vast transfers of wealth and vast suppression of your personal properties and your personal freedom.

[00:18:46] I would have a lot more open mind towards the climate agenda if one of their proposals didn't infringe upon my rights and my property or didn't require huge amounts of government spending and transfer of wealth to either communist China or to failed industries.

[00:19:06] But that seems to be all the proposals. You know, we talk so comfortably about wind and solar and EVs. And I try to remind people none of these industries would exist without government. The private sector never would push towards utility companies wouldn't push towards wind and solar.

[00:19:23] They wouldn't need to if they actually were viable. And it's one of the huge philosophical differences we have with the left and why I believe more and more there is no common ground.

[00:19:35] So one of the huge philosophical differences I have with someone like Pete Buttigieg when he mocks us and he says, you know, it reminds me of the year 2000 when people didn't want to get cell phones and they wanted their landlines.

[00:19:47] But the difference is there was never a government mandate to buy it. There still is no mandate to buy it. You don't have to buy a cell phone if you don't want one. But there is a mandate to buy an EV.

[00:19:58] There is a mandate for utilities and counties and states to put up wind and solar and so much so they're going to ban your alternative. There are bans on gas powered cars and gas powered leaf blowers that kick in in the future.

[00:20:13] So how strange is it for Pete Buttigieg to say it's like the year 2000 and cell phones? I never saw a government program that said you must buy a smartphone by the year 2030 or we're shutting off your landline. And yet that is how he sees us.

[00:20:29] Right. He sees us as unwilling to adopt and therefore I have to use power of government to force you to do what I want. Doesn't sound very free to me. No, it isn't.

[00:20:40] And there are some other things that we could get into there too, like the just putting everybody out of business, just basically taking jobs away and all this and that. And we would take them seriously if anything they ever said actually made sense or actually happened.

[00:20:57] But nothing that they have threatened has actually happened. I want to ask you about another article that I saw this week. And it came down yesterday and apparently Sullivan went to Saudi Arabia and we have a 50 year old petrodollar agreement with them. And that's not being renewed. Yeah.

[00:21:20] And while it doesn't sound like a big deal, I think it is going to be a big deal. And I think if we get President Trump in office, that's going to he's got so much to take care of.

[00:21:29] I mean, this is terrible what this regime has done to this nation and the world. That's not bad that I'm finishing and hopefully it will be up later on today or tomorrow. But absolutely. This is a huge issue.

[00:21:40] You are the first person to ask me about it on air because most people don't know about it. They haven't heard about it. They're not talking about it certainly mostly because it looks very bad for Joe Biden. And so they just ignore the story.

[00:21:58] But the end of the petrodollar is genuinely catastrophic. Oil is the oil industry is thoroughly American. And as a result, we have required that oil purchases worldwide be made through American dollars. So if India wants to buy oil from from Iran, which they're doing,

[00:22:21] both Iran and India have had to get their hands on American dollars to make that happen. And that has kept America's currency, the world currency. It has it has stabilized the world because the Indian rupee is useless. The Iranian I forget what currency they have is useless.

[00:22:42] So they have to buy American dollars for a stable transaction. And it puts America in the dominant position. And the Saudis decided on Tuesday, we're done. Why are we why are we not buying oil in reals? You hate the oil industry. Your president wants to end it.

[00:23:02] Your dollar is useless. 60 percent of the dollars you've just printed in the last couple of years, your thirty five trillion dollars in debt. We're going to sell oil. This is serious. We want to. It's serious stuff. It's very scary stuff and it's very bad for America's future.

[00:23:19] It is. When you get that op ed done, let me know and we'll go fetch it because we'd like to share that maybe maybe get you back on and talk about that in depth because it is they're just destroying this country. And it's intentional. It's not incompetence.

[00:23:35] It's intentional. And I think it's something people need to realize. Music, we're about out of time. Thank you so much, Daniel. First been in this time with us. Have a great weekend. We'll be right back.

[00:23:54] For centuries, those who raise, breed and work with animals have been revered and lauded for what they do today across America. The rights to own and raise animals are under attack by animal rights activists and their increased influence on government and non-government agencies.

[00:24:16] This onslaught regularly violates protection from illegal search and seizure and a citizen's right to due process of the law, all of which are outlined specifically in the U.S. Constitution. Protect your animals, your animal enterprise and your property from this abuse of power.

[00:25:07] Or do we simply not understand the substance and sacrifice for which we were once privileged? Liberty. Webster defines liberty as the state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one's life, behavior or political views. Today we seem to want restrictions.

[00:25:26] Government micromanaging our lives? But do we realize the cost? Alexander Hamilton once stated, There is a certain enthusiasm in liberty that makes human nature rise above itself in acts of bravery and heroism. As a republic, we the people must guard the liberty of others.

[00:25:45] We must continue the enthusiasm that will make men free. Visit csctalkradio.com where Beth Ann puts enthusiasm and common sense back into American liberty as she brings America home.

[00:28:00] And we have returned to listening to CSA Talk Radio. This is Bethann. So just as I was going on the air, there was some breaking news that came down. It's the U.S. Supreme Court has invalidated a ban on bump stocks instituted back in 2017

[00:28:21] following the mass shooting of Las Vegas. Now this is something that Trump did and I did not agree with him. The decision was reached by a 6-3 vote with the majority concluding that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives had exceeded its statutory authority

[00:28:40] by categorizing bump stocks as a machine gun. So that one came down in our favor. I didn't quite understand everything on the one that they did on the abortion pill the other day. There was a lawsuit regarding that and the pharmaceutical business won that one.

[00:29:00] But you know how I feel about abortion. Now it's also Happy Birthday Donald Trump. It is the President's birthday and happy birthday Mr. President. I'm not going to sing to him like Marilyn Monroe did to John F. Kennedy. Anyway, happy birthday. I'll let Melania do that.

[00:29:24] Now yesterday, not yesterday, but yeah I think it was yesterday. 13th is when I got this. Trump met with the Republicans and there was a lot of different things that got talked about there. He came out saying that they were united.

[00:29:39] You and I know that there are some of those Republicans that will never be united unless they're united with the Democrats. But I think he was calling out names every once in a while too. However, this is something I think you're going to be interested in.

[00:29:56] The former president and presumptive they say, 2024 Republican presidential nominee, suggested during a private meeting with the Republican lawmakers on Capitol Hill yesterday that he'd consider replacing the federal income tax with an all-tariff policy. Trump first hinted at the policy idea during his campaign rally in Las Vegas.

[00:30:26] Now if you remember, he said he was going to stop taxing tips. He was going to try and get that removed. I mean he can't do everything. He's got to initiate it through the right channels. But this country used to run only on tariffs. They didn't tax everybody.

[00:30:44] Just think what it would do for you if you didn't have to pay an income tax. Now I don't know if tariffs policy is going to make the price of everything go up. I don't know the consequences of what that might be if you have an all-over tariff.

[00:31:01] But I think it's time that we did have that. Why tax the people? Let's tax those who are Britain. So this would be other countries that are bringing things in. They would have to pay a tariff. Right now they use it as punishment.

[00:31:15] But this would be an all-over and if they need to punish them, it's going to be higher. That's my assumption. On that, now another observation which I thought was really a little telling of the United Nations, well they're upset with Hungary.

[00:31:35] So I said the United Nations, it's the European Union's top court on Thursday are fining Hungary 200 million euros, which is 216 million dollars, for defying the UE's immigration and asylum policy. The BBC reported this. That is, I'm not sure who the BBC is.

[00:32:00] Hungary faces an additional fine of 1 million euros, that's 1.8 million dollars, every day until it fully implements the UE's immigration measures. Now, the Prime Minister Viktor Orban called the decision outrageous and unacceptable and vowed not to comply.

[00:32:25] He's a conservative populist and often clashes with the EU's liberal executive mission. We will not allow financial blackmail by Brussels bureaucrats. I guess that's what that BBB was. We will protect the borders and we will protect the Hungarian people.

[00:32:47] Now he has been, if you remember before Tucker got kicked off of Fox News, he made a trip over there to Hungary and he met with this guy and he had several shows on this guy. And this guy is, he loves his country.

[00:33:03] He loves Hungary and he loves the Hungary people, the Hungarians. He loves his people. That's what should be going on with us. But we have people in politics that don't love this country

[00:33:14] and they don't love the American people and you can see it by what they had been doing to President Donald Trump, to the J-6ers. And we're going to talk about that here in just a little bit. Now this came down as well yesterday.

[00:33:32] It's four ways the House Republicans have not delivered on Trump's wishes. I'm not going to go into detail. I'm just going to throw them out there. A failure to impeach Joe Biden. They didn't even get it started. Of course now they have a very, very slim majority.

[00:33:47] That doesn't mean they shouldn't go through the motions, does it? And where's the speaker? Well they've had like three speakers now and it still hasn't got done. A failure to prioritize bill moving presidential state cases to federal court.

[00:34:06] They need to move these bills from the moving the president. Oh let me just read this. It says in April of 2023, Representative Russell Fry from South Carolina, a Republican, introduced a bill that would allow presidents charged at the state level to move their cases to the federal court.

[00:34:27] So they're saying that nothing can be done with what Trump's trials have been because they've got them on the state level instead of on a federal level. They did this intentionally to keep anybody from having anything that they can do about it. The failure to defund Jack Smith.

[00:34:48] Well we know that the Republicans don't like to defund anything, do they? They didn't defund Planned Parenthood. We're still paying for Planned Parenthood and I wish Trump would have said that to those crazy Republicans yesterday. I wish I could sit down and have a talk with John.

[00:35:03] All right. The last one is a failure to impeach Alejandro Meoricus. This man is evil, evil, evil. And it could be four more. I mean you just keep naming what the Republicans have not done that they should be doing. So let's move on.

[00:35:27] We talked about the Saudi Arabia deal and we'll get into that another day in a little more depth when we have Daniel on. Sometimes I'm just tired of talking about January 6th, but I think the Americans that are in jail deserve us to talk about it.

[00:35:48] And Republicans need to stop being afraid and we need to stop being quiet. This is coming from Jack Cashel and he wrote this and I found it in American Greatness, amgreatness.com, that's amgreatness.com. Also, Dennis Prager has a lot to do with AmericanGreatness.com

[00:36:07] and if you know, Prager University has been banned off Google out of their app store. This guy says, if Republicans are too timid to talk about January 6th, former President Donald Trump is not. They are victims of what happened.

[00:36:23] All they were doing is protesting a rigged election, says former President Trump. There has never been people treated more horrifically than January 6th hostages. Quick to accuse Trump of disassembling, the major media were surprisingly silent about what they might normally brand as a lie.

[00:36:50] It is possible they have begun to realize the Stalinist show trials did not exactly reinforce Democrat messages about saving democracy. Well, you know how I feel about the word democracy. I'm just going to hit some highlights in this when we come back from this break.

[00:37:12] Things that even I was, I know I knew it but I didn't focus in on that. Timing is everything my friends, timing is everything. This happened before Donald Trump's speech, did you know that? It's all started before the speech.

[00:37:32] I think we should understand how many lies were told in this January 6th and I think those January 6th people, the ones that ran that, like Nancy Pelosi and others, I think they need to go on trial.

[00:42:07] This is BethAnn. I'm going to go through this rather quickly. And this is about January 6th, and they're blaming the speech that Trump did on inciting the riot. But in reality, the provocateurs who started the action did not even hear Trump's speech. Trump began his speech.

[00:42:33] It was supposed to start at noon, but he didn't get started until 10 minutes after 1. And of course they quote, and we fight and we fight like hell. And if you don't fight like hell, you're going to lose your country. You won't have a country anymore.

[00:42:49] That's what they quote as calling to action this riot. But it's a 45 minute walk from where he was to the Capitol. And at 1253 p.m., the ubiquitous reps and his crew breached the lightly guarded bike racks.

[00:43:16] At 1258, a single individual not yet identified pulled down the temporary fencing, protecting the lawn with its sign saying area closed. Nobody knows who did that. That person's not in prison. The police response also inflamed the protesters. Now we did talk about this.

[00:43:39] It said at 106, while Trump was still speaking, the Capitol police less lethal team began shooting a barrage of grenades, gas and rubber bullets into the growing mass that was still peaceful protesters on the capitals west side. They were just standing there on the lawn.

[00:44:00] Some of them are elderly. Some of them were parents with children. They had them in carriages. I mean, I saw that crowd. And yes, it got them a little riled up. That was a shooting gallery out there, one said.

[00:44:15] Stan Kephart, the use of force experts who reviewed the video footage for the epic times. There was no tactical reason for them to shoot into that crowd. They were just standing there. They weren't breaching anything. The police action led to the death of three protesters in that crowd.

[00:44:40] There were three protesters that died as a result of what they did. And he lists them here. This is on American greatness. I will put it on the Facebook page if you for those who are listening on Facebook or watching on Facebook.

[00:44:55] And if you want this, all you got to do is go to AM greatness dot com and you can look it up. But if you are anti Internet and I don't blame you for that, just send a self-adjusted stamped envelope.

[00:45:06] But tell me what you want and don't do it two months from now. What Trump and his people need to know about January 6 by Jack Cashel. So no Capitol police officers died as a result of January 6 like we've been lied to.

[00:45:23] And they made up the story about the officer sick Nick. He was not hit in the head. They made it all up. They lied to the American people. So we would go, oh, my gosh. But that's not what happened.

[00:45:38] But citizens died as a result of the handling of January 6 on the second anniversary. House Democrat leader Hakeem Jeffries was still telling the lie of sick Nick. The treatment that these J sixers are having in jail in prison there in D.C. is horrific. It's horrific.

[00:46:02] They're being treated horribly. It says in the wake of January 6, the FBI has arrested more than 1400 citizens and they have incarcerated 500 at least. Ashley Babbitt was the one that was killed. And he's written a book.

[00:46:25] This guy's written a book, Ashley Babbitt, the untold story of the woman of January 6. Women. Because there were other women that died that day. Ashley was shot. The other one was a 57-year-old nurse. No, I'm sorry. These are the ones that are being held and abused in prison.

[00:46:47] She's 57 years old or was. Lisa Eisenhart. And he talks about these in his book. Christine Paiola. She's 49, an occupational therapist. These people have never had any kind of anything on their record and they're being held in prison yet today.

[00:47:07] He says this is a two-tiered system and he's right. But a two-tiered justice system means we have no justice in this country. It isn't. And justice for all. It's injustice for the citizens. He ends his article here quoting Ashley Babbitt's mother.

[00:47:31] She says the gun-toting populace of the United States showed up that day without guns. They were law-abiding citizens and they are being punished severely for it. I want to mention before I go on here that I am speaking in Trenton, Missouri on January 23rd. I'm sorry, June 23rd.

[00:47:55] Not January. June 23rd at 10th Street Baptist Church. Faith and Freedom is the group that's bringing me in so that's what I'm going to talk about is Faith and Freedom. It's at 2 p.m. And just I would welcome anybody. They said they welcome anybody to come.

[00:48:15] I want to share with you not as much as I wanted to because we run out of time, but there's a poem that I wrote long time ago, well back in 2021. And it's tattered and torn.

[00:48:31] Now I have a flag that's tattered and torn that I guess I should follow the directions and celebrate as I burn it. There's only one way to do that. And there is an etiquette about it.

[00:48:43] But I hold fast to this flag because it was the flag that went up after 9-11. And when it came down, it was tattered and torn and bleached out by the sun. But one day on 2021, the year, I saw a flag that was flying.

[00:49:04] I saw a tattered flag today. Her stripes were torn and oh so frayed. On a hill she stood unfurled. A brilliance of her stars were all blurred. At first I was angry and somewhat dismayed. How could they fly, oh glory, this tattered worn out way?

[00:49:21] She was torn and disrespected. She was worn and so neglected. Old and faded by the sun. Her once bright colors now looked undone. As my gaze locked upon her, my anger turned to shame. For that's how we the people in this nation are today.

[00:49:38] We are divided and torn, our emotions all in threads. Our colors once diverse and proud are now belligerent instead. As an independent people we once could all agree. Our strength and honor came from our unique diversity. Now we are divided. No longer states united. Our allegiance is broken.

[00:49:59] Only anger words are spoken. May we all stop and take a breath. Just a moment to concentrate and reflect. What has changed? Our history is still the same. Yet somehow we were convinced that we should all be ashamed. Don't let your heart be shattered.

[00:50:16] Sometimes we all feel tattered. Sometimes we all feel torn. But rest assured America, in freedom we were born. Though tattered and torn, the still oh glory freely flies reminding us of our who we are from way up in the sky.
