[00:00:04] Broadcasting live from atop the Rocky Mountains, the crossroads of the West, you are listening to the Liberty Roundtable Radio Talk Show. Stop treating taxpayers as a teller machine. Out of control, illegal truckers. Golden years. Happy to have you along, my fellow Americans, Sam Bushman. Hard-hitting news, the network reviews to use on this Freedom Levin.
[00:00:33] Fantastic. Faith-filled. We're taking America back, one heart, one mind, one issue at a time, Friday. Dr. Scott Bradley not with us, he's out with family, but Kurt Crosby in the mix, affectionately known as the Honeyman, long-time talk host, liberty-minded radio personality, constitutional conservative, trusted voice, and also the Honeyman. Localhoneyman.com to get raw honey delivered directly to your door. Hi, Kurt. Buenos dias. Yes.
[00:01:03] Greetings and salutations. Howdy, howdy, howdy. Thank you, Sam. There's a lot to criticize about Trump and things that he's doing, folks. That's true. And we need to be fair about that and honest about that. Him wanting to hand out a bunch of money to everybody is one of them. Don't do that. Don't need to give everybody a sucker. What you need to do is stand for the constitutional principles and people will flock to you, especially if they get educated on what the importance thereof is. So we encourage you to do that, President Trump. We support you in doing that.
[00:01:32] But this story is another example of Trump doing a good job. Last segment, we talked big time about President Trump and his efforts to stop fraud. You know, there's fraud all over the place. Illegal aliens are committing fraud and just absolutely taking advantage of our systems. And I mentioned at the end what we need to do is get rid of those handouts in the first place, and then they wouldn't be a problem. Well, Trump's not getting that done and going that far. I wish he would. But he is doing a lot of good, and he's saving billions of dollars,
[00:02:01] and the mainstream press won't report it, and therefore we need to because it's news the networks refuse to use. I don't know why they won't talk about it. But here's another example where I think Trump's doing a phenomenal job, and he's not getting the credit he deserves in the mainstream press, Kurt. Massive crackdown on illegal trucking licenses unveils prudent safety failures endangering lives.
[00:02:27] Under President Trump's tenure, a shocking revelation has emerged. The Department of Transportation now, this is good news, has revoked 30,000 commercial trucking licenses that were basically given illegally to non-native drivers. Thousands more illegal truckers are continuing to operate,
[00:02:56] so we've got a lot to go, but we've done a lot. This, quote, widespread malpractice has led to a drastic increase in fatal accidents with at least 239 deaths attributed to these people not even knowing English. In response, the Trump administration took, quote, decisive action,
[00:03:18] and I guess they shut down 110 driving schools linked to these fraudulent practices. So we got rid of 30,000 illegal licenses, got rid of 110 driving schools that are promoting these illegals, they say, however, controversy. I don't even want to focus on that. They say the, you know, trucking association, you know, is in the mix. We need stricter enforcement. The battle's on.
[00:03:47] They say, meanwhile, personal tragedies are affecting families. So this is an example, Kurt, where I don't know why we have a debate about this at all. Why would we want illegals that don't speak English driving big rig virtual, you know, if you're a good guy and you're careful with it, then it, you know, delivers products to your grocery store and all of the, you know, everything we have is based on trucking and rail and stuff. But in the hands of a bad guy, it is a weapon. This be these big old trucks.
[00:04:16] And so you kind of wonder why would we be all for just putting them in the hands of illegals? I don't really know what the debate's about, but I want to commend President Trump on this for the work done. Is there more to do? Yes. But you know what? Again, how many people realize that 30,000 licenses were shut down and 110 schools that were manufacturing these illegals and putting them in big trucks shut down. That's a huge thing that Trump needs credit for, or at least his administration. I don't know if people really understand the gravity of that thing, Kurt.
[00:04:47] Well, couldn't agree more, Sam. I mean, what you've got here so much is, you know, it goes right back to the, well, the bad guys who literally want to import their supporters, I guess you call them. And they want to, you know, get some guys that will vote for them. I mean, when I was watching one of President Trump's recent rallies, you know,
[00:05:15] they talked about asking the Congress, it was during one of his State of the Union things, they asked him simply, you know, to stand and salute or to support this guy. They were given a Congressional Medal of Honor. And not a single Democrat would even stand up for that guy, you know.
[00:05:39] And so much of it seems to be, if it's good on one side, you've got to be, if you're the bad guys, you just can't, you know, even support any of that. And you've got your illegal workers or illegal immigrants, criminals who've not come into America the right way.
[00:06:02] They've been helped in so many times or so many ways by these people who are lawless and are hoping these, you know, illegals will support them. And yet, look at all the havoc that is caused by it. People that die on these roads and accidents and that kind of thing.
[00:06:27] I mean, it's just a lot of work to be done to fix the problems, right, Sam? Yeah, but, Kurt, I'm not very smart, though. Why would anybody be for illegals driving trucks that can endanger lives? They don't know English. They don't know our traffic rules. They can't read signs because they don't know English. I'm not downing these people as bad people necessarily. But what I'm saying is that they, you know, create a danger. It's like going to England or something. And you have to drive on the wrong side of the road.
[00:06:57] And it's like, you know, you don't know the language. And then you get all these rules that, you know, you kind of don't understand. I just don't understand why I would be okay with it. It just doesn't make any sense to me. Well, the only part that would make sense, Sam, is if you remember that many times the globalists, what they've wanted to do for a long time is lower things in America, bring them down,
[00:07:25] so that, you know, the rest of the world isn't, well, it isn't so different. So, in other words, they want to drop us to third world or whatever status. And, you know, and that's supposed to make the world a better place, I guess. But the bottom line is you need a shining light on a hill for people to look to.
[00:07:49] And you need good things for people to try to emulate, not just a whole bunch more bad. I got a redneck crazy idea, Kurt. Yes, sir. I know some people might think that I'm just full of hate for saying this, but I'm just going to let it rip anyway. So here's what I would say. Why do we want America to go down, in other words, America not to be exceptional,
[00:08:16] in an effort to benefit the world? Why don't we try to have all those other countries learn from America, learn from the land of the free, learn from the checks and balances and the protections that it provides, learn from a small, appropriate constitutional government where no one gets too powerful, and why don't we, instead of bringing America down, why don't we bring the rest of the world up by showing them the pattern for solutions?
[00:08:45] Make all countries great. Like, Trump wants to make America great. Hey, the French should make France great, and the Mexicans should make Mexico great, and we should all be for that for them. I am. Imagine that kind of thinking, Sam. I mean, you know, I don't know. Where are you coming up with stuff like that? I just think it would be kind of cool if Mexico was great and safe and productive and stable. I just think that would be awesome.
[00:09:14] I bet you probably think that then there wouldn't be all these people trying to get out of, you know, the sinking boat or the sinking ships from all these places. And then it wouldn't, you know, be some kind of a big old hard thing to keep America without, you know, invaders and stuff. I mean, yeah. I mean, just think of all these countries being good places for people to live. I mean.
[00:09:39] Well, then it'd be cool for me to go to Mexico and feel safe and learn about their culture and learn about their people and celebrate their lives and eat their food. And then they could do the same to us and learn about us and we could just be friends and everywhere would be safe and productive and stable and good and honorable and moral. And I mean, just imagine a world like that. You'd put an end to the whole big military industrial complex. So I sure would. But that'd be OK. We'd have so much awesomeness. We wouldn't even know what to do with it.
[00:10:09] Great point. That's kind of what I'm thinking. All right. Next headline campaign for liberty, dear friends of mine, led by Ron Paul and company. We have on Lowell Nelson every Monday from campaign for liberty. Great friend of ours, by the way. Campaign for liberty to Congress. Stop treating taxpayers like an unlimited ATM. Boy, how do you amen to that? Campaign for liberty is urging Americans to, quote, demand spending cuts.
[00:10:40] Tougher scrutiny of federal programs. And they want to flat out put an end to Congress's dependence on last minute funding extensions. So they got a petition. [00:12:26] Back with you live. So campaign for liberty to Congress. Stop treating taxpayers like an unlimited teller machine. They want to urge Americans to demand spending cuts. Tougher scrutiny of federal programs. Amen.
[00:12:55] And an end to Congress's dependent on last minute funding. This petition calls on lawmakers to eliminate waste and fraud, challenge unnecessary spending, and pass annual funding bills with meaningful taxpayer oversight. Continuing resolutions, folks, generally extend existing funding for a specified period. And that's the problem is that this just goes on and on and on.
[00:13:24] And we never really get to the bottom of it and think through it and reduce things. So campaign for liberty calling out on that, Kurt. Well, you know, they've done great work forever. I mean, imagine not being for a campaign for liberty. You know, Sam, I mean, it's just good stuff as usual, right? Amen.
[00:13:48] And I just wanted to highlight it and bring it to your attention because that's what Americans should be focused on pre-midterm elections. Now, you remember the Heritage Foundation, Kurt? You remember we went to their big studio and that kind of stuff and all that? Oh, the Heritage Foundation has a unique plan now, too, Kurt. You want to know what they're doing? Sure. You know how Elon Musk and President Donald Trump did doge? And even though people think it was a failure and it wasn't near as much as we had hoped, I agree. But let's not pretend it didn't expose a lot of fraud.
[00:14:16] And let's not pretend it didn't save a bunch of money because it did. Okay. But now the Heritage Foundation is wanting to crank up a doge-like effort in each state. And so what they're saying is, hey, the feds need to do it. Absolutely. But, you know what, let's not pretend the states aren't spinning us into oblivion, too. They are. And so they're trying to roll out doge for states, Kurt. Well, let's go.
[00:14:43] I'm for doge for counties, for doge for cities. Amen. Doge the world over. I mean, it's incredible. I think we even ought to doge our families, Kurt, and kind of look at our expenses and be careful. I mean, imagine that, Sam. Well, I'm just saying what's good for the goose is good for the gander. I'm not willing to run around and say, oh, they need to tighten their belt and look over expenses. And I don't need to do that. Our families should do that, too. Everybody should be doing that all the time. Yep. Good point.
[00:15:13] Don't want to throw stray money away or anything like that. Now, doge takes place in most families by necessity, I might add. But to some degree. But there's always more we can do, right? We can always be more careful. And anyway, I just found it kind of a great thing. Well, you wouldn't need to do doge in your family if you could just print money out of thin air. Right, Sam? Yeah, that's for sure. All right. Here's the next headline.
[00:15:40] Golden Years Dream Glider or whatever it is. Brighter. You want to dream brighter, I guess, Kurt. Average wealth of Americans in their 50s surpasses 1.5 million. Let's see if this kind of relates to you, Kurt. Okay, you want to dream brighter? Recent data from the Federal Survey of Consumer Finances. I didn't know we had a federal survey of consumer finances, did you?
[00:16:09] But it highlights a significant wealth accumulation among older Americans. So they say people who have reached in their 50s now have an average net worth of 1.5 million. This trend reflects broader increases across all older age groups. And they say stock, prices, values, home values, while median net worth also shows growth,
[00:16:38] it remains considerably lower. There's a bigger disparity between the ultra-wealthy and the rest of us. And as Americans age, their financial wealth traditionally peaks, with those in their 60s averaging at about 2 million in assets and net worth, despite declines in median net worth, starting in the 70s, many seniors continue to enjoy substantial financial security.
[00:17:08] Now, Kurt, is that about where you're at? Because you're in your 60s, right? Yes. So you've got an average of about 2 million packed away, do you? You know, it must be in some place I'm unaware of, you know what I mean? Yeah. But I guess the average, you know, like they say, you know, if you've got one foot in hot water and one foot in cold water, then on the average you're feeling pretty good.
[00:17:37] But, you know, really one's cold and one's hot, you know. So if somebody's a billionaire, you know, an Elon Musk guy, and somebody else is, you know, sitting on the streets with a sign that says we'll work for food, then, you know, the average one's doing okay. Half a millionaire, Kurt. Yeah, there you go. And the median is a half a million, right? So dream brighter, Kurt, because everybody's doing good they want you to believe.
[00:18:06] And, you know, I don't know what is driving this. I just think it's skewed numbers. In my mind, what you need to do is take a real honest survey about how the average Americans are doing. And I find, believe it or not, those who make $100,000 to $250,000 claim that they're living paycheck to paycheck. More people in that price range or value range, whatever you want to call it, wage range, are complaining that they're living paycheck to paycheck. Those who are making $50,000 to $100,000, less of them claim they're living paycheck to paycheck.
[00:18:36] Isn't it amazing? So what does that tell you? I mean, it goes to a lot of what you're talking about. Well, and so many times, I mean, we come to, well, expect certain things in our lives. I mean, you know, the pioneers, you know, the people that basically settled these valleys. I mean, if they'd had a light bulb, they thought they were. Yeah, when the air conditioning went out on their car, they complained, didn't they? Right.
[00:19:06] It's just amazing. Well, they just know when they ride their horse faster, there's more wind. You know, you're right. And expectations is kind of the problem. And we're all doing fairly well when you really think about it that way and everything else. It's all true. And we need to be grateful for what we have for sure. Although the point's well taken that, hey, you know, I can dream brighter. And what I really need to do is dream brighter and have government spend less of my money. And then I'll have more of it. It's kind of the reality check that I would bring to the table.
[00:19:33] And as you pointed out, you know, when you said, I didn't even know we had a whatever this was survey. You know, we don't need government doing stuff like that. You know, here's what we need them doing. It's right there in a little thing called the Constitution. It tells you what they're supposed to do. Look right there. Follow that and do that and nothing more. You know, I mean, it's pretty amazing.
[00:20:01] Now, Kurt, if you worked for Netflix, you wouldn't be very happy right now, though. Netflix slashes workforce amid declining growth and engagement, aiming to refocus their resources. They're kind of struggling. They're cutting it about 6% of its workforce, approximately 1,000 employees over this,
[00:20:26] particularly from its product, technology, legal, and HR teams as they're grappling with how to handle all this stuff. And the layoff, they say, reflects broader industry trends. And, you know, it's like Disney and others. So, Kurt, do you want to respond to this one?
[00:20:48] Well, Sam, you know, so many of these things, you know, take Netflix, for example. We know of instances where they've spent millions giving money to the Obamas for so many things. And, you know, as you have taught us for so many years, the new media is taking center stage.
[00:21:13] And I will say that Netflix is part of what, at least, you know, the newer media compared to the old, you know, just CBS, NBC, or whatever. But, man, there's even newer, you know, things where you don't even really need Netflix.
[00:21:35] But in that, I guess you could say realm, I saw this one headline where the media has taken some heat, Sam, from guys who say... All right, before we get to that really quick, just so everybody knows, though, they've dropped 40% in their share pricing over the last year. And they say it's due to slowing growth and stalling audience engagement. And I just want to tell them this.
[00:22:04] Netflix, you have a lot of perverted programs that you peddle and promote. And if you guys want to do, you know, do like Great American Family does, stand tall for family-based principles, and you'll grow and you won't have everybody wanting to bail from Netflix. I've had Netflix from time to time, and every time I see all kinds of garbage on there, and I'm like, I just can't support this stuff. So I cancel it. So I think that my advice to Netflix is take a page out of Great American Family's playbook, and you might know where to go. All right, Kurt. Anyway, continue with this now.
[00:22:32] Well, it's exactly what this piece talks about. It says, L.A. Dodgers player calls out MLB, that's Major League Baseball, for airing Sidney Sweeney soft porn ads during playoffs. My son wants to watch baseball. And the tweet goes something like this. Hey, Major League Baseball, want to get more kids watching baseball? Maybe start with the commercials. Watching the playoffs tonight with my kids, and here's the rundown.
[00:22:59] Megan Fox selling E.D. pills in a red bodysuit. The scariest movie trailer you've ever seen. Sidney Sweeney in zero clothes promoting betting on sports. Leagues can't figure out why kids don't watch. You just don't need it. Yeah, you know what her deal was? She put sports paraphernalia over her private parts as she did a commercial, right? But it's a problem, you know, the whole thing.
[00:23:23] And then they wonder, like he says, wonder why, you know, he says, I just show baseball in a way I can leave it on in my house. I mean, imagine that, Sid. Crazy idea. Yeah, anyway, there you have it. Anyway, very strange stuff, I'll tell you what. But I don't even know how to respond to it except for, again, you know, we the people have a different agenda than they have, right?
[00:23:54] That's right. Good point. Did you hear about those refrigerators that got hacked, Sam? Yes, sir. In France? I mean, imagine your refrigerator getting hacked. Well, I got a great way for your refrigerator not to get hacked. Are you ready? Yeah. Get that dude off. Don't hook it up to the Internet. Amen. All right, ladies and gentlemen, for Kirk Crosby, localhoneyman.com and yours truly. Thanks for being alongside for the ride. Hopefully it was educational and entertaining. Spread the word.
