[00:00:04] Broadcasting live from atop the Rocky Mountains, the crossroads of the West. You are listening to the Liberty Roundtable Radio Talk Show. All right, happy to have you along, my fellow Americans. Sam Bushman back with you live. Dr. Bradley with me. We're talking about elections, folks. We're talking about what's happening for the midterms.
[00:00:29] We're talking about, you know, it's very crazy what's going on. I'm just not confident in what we're seeing anywhere, Dr. Bradley. Do you want to continue on your thoughts here for a second? Well, we're going to talk about Alaska and Mary Peltola's deal. Yeah, because it relates to the predictions on the election. So they put this person in place, in my opinion, one side to create confusion. They're being accused of that, and they say it's immoral, but it's not illegal, doctor.
[00:00:55] So I don't know why they're even denying it. Why not just say, yeah, we are. Of course we are. Well, if the Democrats had such confidence in their candidate, this woman, Mary, they wouldn't even need to do that. Why did they go dig up some guy that was a fisherman all his life and put his name on the ballot, other than for some kind of shenanigans? Well, they know full well if they do that, they can basically, you know, get enough people, and maybe that'll make the difference.
[00:01:22] If it's a close bet, but a lot of people put the wrong unintended on the ballot or whatever, choose the wrong person, then that might swing the election. They know full well, and everybody knows full well. But this is no different than any of the other cheating events, like having the president stop his job for two months and run around the country for your guys, bringing out a past president on a pension that we pay him to, and having him, you know, electioneer and everything else.
[00:01:48] I mean, they've got so many ways to cheat, putting in dark money to campaigns to bots to, I mean, the list just goes on and on. This is no different than any other scandal that they've put in play. Well, this one here is an unforced error. I think this will cost Mary the election, but it can go a couple of different ways, in my opinion. I think there's a lot of Alaskans, and I've been speaking in Alaska on principles of proper government and liberty and everything.
[00:02:17] There are independent-minded people. They're going to say, the heck you say? And I think this will cost her the election. She was leading in the polls. And here's the other really spin on this thing that I may find, knowing a little bit about some of the Alaska, you know, independents, Alaska Independent Party, or Independence Party. Anyway, we could talk about that for hours, too. But I think some of these things, actually, the Alaskans could say, you know what?
[00:02:45] We're going to vote for the other Dan Sullivan. We're going to put him in. I mean, here, look. This Dan Sullivan that's a sitting senator has voted 14 times to not put a stop to the Iran war. Okay? So that's good enough reason for a lot of people to not want to vote for him. And if they don't want to vote for the Republican guy, they'll vote for the other Sullivan and everything else. I think it very well could cost the election. We're going to keep an eye on that ball.
[00:03:14] And by the way, we're going to have a November 3rd Liberty News Radio live coverage of election night coming up on the third Tuesday. It'll be from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Mountain, so 7 to midnight Eastern. And we're going to have all kinds of newsmakers from the Epoch Times to Dr. Scott Bradley to myself to all kinds of talk show hosts to people representing the network to Alex Newman and many others
[00:03:42] breaking down the elections across the country as they unfold, along with other kind of election ballot initiatives and everything else. We'll have a great time discussing it. It'll be live at LibertyNewsRadio.com. It'll be live on YouTube, live on several different platforms, Facebook and more video and radio. And so we encourage you all to join that. It's free. It's available. It's, you know, other networks tell you what to think and everything. We just tell you the details. We're going to break it all down.
[00:04:09] So to tease that a little bit, doctor, and then, hey, that backs us into what are your predictions for the midterm elections? What do you think is going to happen here? Well, that was another 15-minute segment on our webinar last night. And honestly, I had to tell the people, you know, a year ago, I would have given a completely different prognostication. I mean, you know, you talk about, you know, the Groundhog Day. Is it going to be fall or spring or whatever?
[00:04:36] And I think everything that – I can't say how many seats exactly that the Republicans are going to lose. But I think a couple of things. One, it's all self-inflicted. Amen. I truly believe that it wasn't just Donald Trump, though, but it was sycophants in the Republican Party. It was Mike Johnson. It was the two camps in the party fighting with one another. I mean, it went on and on, right? It really, truly did. And I look –
[00:05:04] But again, this talks about the George Washington, the parties turn into factions. I mean, he predicted it in his farewell address. And we're seeing exactly that and that self-inflicted party politics where the party gets a special privilege and then that turning into factions. Hey, I mean, you know, George Washington could not have been more prophetic, sir. Well, absolutely. And if you look at what happened, let's just take Utah's delegation.
[00:05:33] They're, you know, everybody we've got. We've got six people, House and Senate. Not a single one of them at any time with a whimper or a whine did anything that would have brought principle to the forefront. They went along with everything that the president said. Now, this is blind – think about this. It's following the arm of the flesh. This is not following a divine plan.
[00:06:02] This is following a very weak, imperfect, foolish, vain, stubborn, proud, egotistical megalomaniac down the path that's going to destroy this nation. And virtually all of the Senate and the House that were Republican were there, yes, sir, yes, sir, three bags full. So the good news is the Republicans are going to get spanked. The bad news is the Democrats are going to do it.
[00:06:28] I don't want either one of them to have ascendancy, but here's the problem. Those are the only two choices we've got right now, and there are people that are saying – And it's going to stay that way until we declare the parties over, ladies and gentlemen, because that's what the good old boy special privilege fraudulent private sector organizations do when they basically pull the liver of power in their favor and then create rules and laws that basically benefit them and lock the rest of us out. That's what we get.
[00:06:55] That's what we've got as we betray the Constitution every day as long as those things stay in play. Now, I also want to mention this. So you're saying that the Democrats are going to gain the House. Is that right? I don't think there's any question about that. The Senate, I still think, is up in the air to agree. There's a very high probability they will gain the Senate. So what Trump has done, he gave away what the Republicans had such pride in winning,
[00:07:20] and really he probably changed the dynamic for the next 10 years at least. Now, here's a real problem that I think is happening. I think that people are so sick and tired of being sick and tired that they're saying let's throw the bums out. It just happens to be the bums they're the most mad at. And right now they're not thinking of the consequences. They're just saying we're sick of it, right? Absolutely. And so what's going to happen is that we're going to get Democratic Socialists,
[00:07:47] that are basically just Socialists, that are going to be put in because they're saying, by golly, these guys that have got power didn't do anything. We're going to throw these. Americans don't have enough understanding of principle to know that by putting a Democratic Socialist in there, they're absolutely cutting the guts out of the limited government that was established in the origin of this nation. And so what's happening is they're going to go out of the frying pan and into the fire
[00:08:15] because in many instances they will select individuals that are the antithesis of what the American founding fathers hoped to have lead this nation. Trusted representatives that acted within the limits and bounds that were established constitutionally. And what Donald's going to be able to do is he's going to be a lame duck and he's going to block a lot of what they do. And he's going to try to ride off into the sunset like this. You know, I was incredible. I had to stop the Democrats. Everybody tied my hands.
[00:08:45] Shame on you guys. I was a rock star. And he's going to kind of ride off into the sunset that, hey, I did the very best I could with, you know, everybody around me that was evil, all the anti-Trumpers and everybody else. And, you know, he's going to basically try to make his legacy a good one because of it. And, hey, I was the greatest on the border. I was the greatest on exposing the media. I was the greatest on this and that. And now you guys lame duck me. But, you know, I still did a lot of good blocking all the bad things. Look what they would have done without us.
[00:09:11] And that's going to be their pitch for 28 is look what we were able to stop that the Democrats were going to do that was evil. Forgetting their whole agenda of what they ran on in the beginning, which was we're not going to war, chief among them. We're going to have a greatest deportation. Bill Clinton or Barack Obama, I'm sorry, deported more people than Donald Trump has, believe it or not. And so this great deportation and everything else, you know, all of it is just basically a clown show. We were going to basically make a difference in the media.
[00:09:41] But, you know, you criticize the media as all President Trump has done. He hasn't brought the new media taking center stage. What he should have done was jettison the old media, focus on the new media. But all he's done really is done interviews with the bad media, although he criticizes them and does interviews with them. The new media that could have really become something if they had. And I'm not saying we want government funding, but I'm saying even attention from President Trump would have done enough. Shut out the clowns. You guys are fake news and bring in people who will tell the truth.
[00:10:11] That alone, but he didn't do any of it. He hasn't granted. When it was 2015 and he wanted to get elected, he brought on his son on my program on Super Tuesday. Mind you. And then he got elected. And so I'm not saying I'm, you know, exclusively responsible for that. But I am saying a lot of us made a big difference there. And at the end of the day, he hasn't really given us surrogates or participated in the new media at all.
[00:10:36] He's just basically gone on the mainstream press and granted interviews to rich and famous celebrities and clowns and the people that supposedly hate him. And that's all he's done. So when you look at it, his legacy is going to be built on not a whole lot except for we stopped them and there's a couple of cool things that we kind of did. We'll talk about it with Dr. Bradley in a second. Have you ever had great honey? No, I mean really good all natural raw honey.
[00:11:03] Well, now you can thanks to localhoneyman.com. We can ship out our locally made honey all across the U.S. So don't worry. You won't miss out. So purchase your delicious raw honey today at localhoneyman.com. Why don't we say to the government writ large that they have to spend a little bit less?
[00:11:34] Anybody ever had less money this year than you had last? Anybody ever having a 1% pay cut? You deal with it. That's what government needs, a 1% pay cut. If you take a 1% pay cut across the board, you have more than enough money to actually pay for the disaster relief. But nobody's going to do that because they're fiscally irresponsible. Who are they? Republicans. Who are they? Democrats. Who are they? Virtually the whole body is careless and reckless with your money.
[00:12:04] So the money will not be offset by cuts anywhere. The money will be added to the debt, and there will be a day of reckoning. What's the day of reckoning? The day of reckoning may well be the collapse of the stock market. The day of reckoning may be the collapse of the dollar. When it comes, I can't tell you exactly, but I can tell you it has happened repeatedly in history when countries ruin their currency.
[00:12:34] Okay, so Sam's commentary before the break, we're talking about the fact that polarization, destruction of diplomacy and statesmanship has been kind of the iconic move of Donald Trump. And that's really not what we have needed. But here's where I'm coming from.
[00:12:52] Whether you're a leader, whether you're a representative, whether you're the president or you're anybody, whether you're a voter on the streets, the idea is weighing and measuring in the proper scale. If all you find is the party scale, if all you find is the I'm a Trumper or I'm not a Trumper scale, and you make your decisions based upon that, you are on a road to destruction of the republic.
[00:13:18] The proper scale is established by the United States Constitution. The limits and bounds of government, the checks and balances, the delegation of authority, the co-equal branches, all of those kinds of things were at the forefront of keeping this a free nation. And what's happened, we the people have become so ignorant that we continue to put ignoramuses in office. And that's the problem.
[00:13:45] If you're voting for baboons, buffoons and bozos, what are you going to get? Yeah, the problem for me is there's nobody to vote for, doctor. And I don't want to vote in the primaries because I don't want to back parties in the first place. I agree. I mean, it has become so perverse. But where do you find it? I mean, come on, Sam, change. You can believe it. What the heck are you promoting?
[00:14:09] What my candidate up here in my state legislative thing is, champion of prosperity. What the heck does that mean? That's his watchword. I am absolutely mistaken. And my response is government responsible to create prosperity? Or are they responsible to honor contracts, create a level playing field, and get the heck out of the way? Well, that's the problem. Champion of prosperity.
[00:14:32] It's as stupid and completely inane and completely out of the realm of any meaning as change you can believe in. That's what we elect people on. And we don't insist. Now, here's the problem. If you have principled people that are running, you have gobs of money. The Israeli PAC, for example. Well, and that alone is criminal activity, though.
[00:14:57] And a Israeli PAC that brings money into America that's not tied to anything that, you know, you play games and say it can go to a PAC, not a candidate, but advocate for the candidate. But there's no, quote, link between the two. But yet it's backed by these parties. And yet the money runs through media companies and everywhere else to get to the PAC. So you can't tie dollars. And it's money in plain sight. But yet it's hidden in its reality. And, I mean, that's all games and manipulation and fraud, too, doctor. Well, it is. That's the problem.
[00:15:25] The whole election process has become a charade and a facade. And when we elect the people that are so determined to get election that they put these euphemistic campaign slogans together that mean absolutely nothing. You cannot tie this down. I'm for change. Aren't you for change? Change, I can believe it. Well, I think you and I, Sam, are pretty much on the same page. But does that mean that everybody?
[00:15:55] And so we vote based on we believe our change is going to be the right change. And little and truthfully, we've got to weigh in the proper scale. Well, the only change I support is returning to the Constitution. But that's the proper scale, Sam. I understand that. But most people couldn't tell you if from each according to his ability to each according to his needs was in the Constitution. By the way, it's not, in case you're wondering. It's in the Communist Manifesto, isn't it? Well, actually, it's not in the Manifesto.
[00:16:24] He wrote it later. But the fact is it was Marx. But the fact of the matter is that is a statement from... Even though it's not maybe in the Communist Manifesto, the Communist Manifesto articulates a similar idea. In other words, the pros are the same. The words aren't there. Absolutely. But the fact of the matter is it's a slogan. And most Americans that get through high school have no clue that it's not in the Constitution. And slogans don't go well. Actual constitutional leadership does go well.
[00:16:53] Let's talk about Utah for a second. Because the Utah Citizen Initiative and considerations about that. There's a lot of these kind of things across the country that relate to this. That's kind of why I want to highlight it, even though it's a Utah thing, Doctor. Well, absolutely. It has a very broad application. And Utah has on the ballot... Okay, well, first of all, I'll say that in 1895, when the Utah Constitution was written,
[00:17:20] the Communist Socialist Movement was sweeping across the world. And Utah, as a wink and a nod to that Communist Movement in 1895, and we applied it in 1896, when we become a state, is it says that citizens can bring initiatives forward, put them on the ballot, and have them passed as law. This is democracy. This is direct legislation. It's dangerous as all get out, folks. But Utah's Constitution allows it.
[00:17:49] And so there's a ballot proposal that's on the Utah ballot that says, well, if you're going to raise taxes, you have to get a 60% vote, let's say, instead of just a 50% plus one. And people have been... They text me, write me. I'm getting pounded right now. You can maybe hear in the background with texts. People say, what do you believe about this? What do you believe about this? And I say, well, it's all wrong.
[00:18:17] If I had my way, I'd change the Utah Constitution where you can't do it. And they say, well, what happens when your representatives don't do what you want them to do? Then you elect somebody who does, ladies and gentlemen. Well, here's the deal. It's not just electing somebody who does. It's picking someone that does what they're supposed to do. There are limits and bounds. And so you don't pull the levers of government that way. But here's what we're doing. We are electing, as I said earlier, buffoons, baboons, and bozos because we don't know what people are supposed to do.
[00:18:47] And we think we can elect people to office that are going to pull the levers of government in our favor. And they do it in violation of the real purpose of government, which is to preserve God-given rights. And so if you think we're going to get better by having citizens directly legislate than what we're getting by putting the people in legislature positions that we put in those positions, we're sorely mistaken.
[00:19:13] Well, what you're doing is you're basically creating confusion and conflict. You're taking away the legislative authority, the delegated responsibilities that we, okay, this is checks and balances. And what you're doing is you're violating the checks and balances when you do this. And what you're doing is you're watering down the constitutional republic and making it more like a democracy. And I'm telling you, the outcome will be nothing but failure, confusion, disruption, sadness, and eventually loss of liberty. That's really the bottom line from this thing, doctor.
[00:19:42] Well, California has embraced the citizen initiative, and they're a dumpster fire for a lot of reasons. And this is one of them. But Article 4 of the United States Constitution says, The United States shall guarantee to every state of the union a republican form of government. And Utah's constitution allows a democracy to encroach into that. And people that are saying, well, we've got such hard work to put this onto the ballot.
[00:20:08] We shouldn't have to get some super majority to have our wishes met. Well, but the thing is, if you're pulling the levers of government to increase taxes on your fellow citizens, it's a bad thing. I mean, right now, we are giving such a vast majority of our energy, our talents, our money to bigger government constantly. And many states are doing this, and that's why we wanted to bring it up as disaster. It's dangerous.
[00:20:36] The problem is, is either way you vote on some of these things too aren't good. You don't have a choice to vote for what's right. That's not even an option, right? Well, that's the problem is if you're voting. Okay. If you were to say, let's vote for the lesser of two evils. Let's say you've got to have a 60% margin to have this foisted upon your fellow citizens. Well, if you got 60% to vote for that and it was the wrong thing and you're pillaging and plundering, it's still wrong. So the lesser of two evils inherently means you're voting for an evil thing.
[00:21:03] Well, but on the ballot this time coming up, we don't have a choice though. It's one or the other that aren't good, right? Well, that's the problem. We don't have to vote for the above. You can't vote none of the above on this thing. So the one is going to win. The only way, I guess, is to skip that question and not vote on it or not vote at all, right? It's going to win, Sam. One is going to win. One or the other is going to win. I'm sure it's right. I'm sure it's true. But what I'm saying is I can't, I don't have a choice to vote in the way that I believe in this. And this is what parties do.
[00:21:31] This is what groups of people that come to the trough democracy style do. They force their will on the rest of us and there's no choice that's good. That's absolutely correct. We have, we should have a none of the above box probably that says, no, we're not going to do this. And in fact, let's go back and change the constitution. And if enough people voted none of the above, then it would basically just go away and we could do something different, which is what I would like to see happen. Really quick before the end of the hour, Linda McMahon is the head of the education department.
[00:22:01] And now she wants to spend $43,000 on office furniture. What's happening is the education secretary is moving to smaller digs. And the department says that existing furniture isn't suitable for the new space. So they want to go ahead and spend $43,000. They say that moving to the smaller space will save like $5 million a year. And Democratic senators, Patty Murray and Tammy Baldwin are urging McMahon not to spend the money calling it, calling it wasteful.
[00:22:29] And my question is, if we're getting rid of the education department, why do we need to move to smaller digs? And why do we need furniture at all, doctor? Well, those are very valid questions, but I'm wondering what they're getting for $45,000 or whatever the number is. Oh, some tasks and some couches and different stuff. Well, yeah, that's it's you're getting nothing. Why bother? I mean, it's it's let's just move forward, people. And honestly, the bottom line answer is, Sam, they're not getting rid of the education department.
[00:22:58] They're relocating different responsibilities to other departments and calling it a downsizing. It's it's a disaster. It's a lie. And again, what department have we got rid of and or seriously downsized? Even the things that Trump has downsized or we thought he was going to do good with based on doge and everything else. Ninety percent of it's been challenged by the courts and or quietly reversed, doctor.
[00:23:24] Well, we've had a real cabal going on in that Congress authorizes things and they're supposed to authorize things, but only within the limits and bounds of the Constitution. And so the executive's been doing things and the Congress has been delegating things to the executive, which is not constitutional. And so because of all this, we've metastasized into this huge cancerous government. And it's a really big problem.
[00:23:53] And it's going to take it took a lot of years to get into it. It's going to take years to get out. But we've got to have the heart to do it. All right, ladies and gentlemen, we're flat out of time. It's been an incredible hour. Dr. Scott Bradley, we follow it up on his weekly webinars every Thursday night. Check them out.
