* Podcasting Rivals AM/FM Radio as YouTube Dominates Listening Habits!

The growth comes as YouTube cements itself as the most-used podcast platform in the US.

* For Gen Z listeners aged 13–29, YouTube narrowly edges out Spotify as the top destination for podcast content.

Industry analysts say the rise of video podcasts, easy accessibility, and YouTube’s strong recommendation engine are driving the platform’s dominance.

* The trend underscores a generational shift away from traditional radio and toward on-demand, multi-format listening.

* Howard Stern's $500M contract with SiriusXM, set to expire by the end of the year, leaves his future uncertain.

Once attracting 20 million weekly listeners, Stern's audience has declined to 125,000.

The company added 230,000 digital-only subscribers during the quarter, now totaling 11.88 million subscribers across all print and digital products.

Print subscriber numbers decreased to 580,000, from 600,000 in the previous quarter and 630,000 the year before.

* The Times aims to reach 15 million subscribers by the end of 2027, with the majority being digital-only.

* Chikungunya, a mosquito-borne viral illness, is currently spreading through China and several other countries in Africa, Europe, and the Americas.

* The CDC has issued a travel advisory for Americans, highlighting an outbreak in China's Guangdong Province with 7,000 confirmed cases and identifying countries with elevated risks including parts of southern Africa, Southeast Asia, and South America.

This year, approximately 240,000 cases have been reported globally.

* The WHO states that severe symptoms and deaths are rare, generally affecting young babies or the elderly with coexisting health conditions.
