"Easter reminds us we must incorporate the principles of liberty into the very fabric of our lives – into every personal choice we make. It reminds us to offer our eternal vigilance against threats to the foundational freedom that made America the country it is today.
* Standing at the Edge of the Iran War Cliff - Ron Paul.
* Putin enacts key treaty with Iran - RT.com

"the real strength that it takes to make and keep peace is the strength to just walk away. It is the strength to stop meddling in conflicts that have nothing to do with [us]."
* Where is Congress? - Sadly, Nowhere to be found.
* Real ID Enforcement on May 7 - Ron Paul.
* The Circumvention of Habeas Corpus - Jacob G. Hornberger.
The most alarming aspect of the deportation to El Salvador of Kilmar Ábrego García is that the Trump administration may have figured out a way to circumvent the right of habeas corpus--not only for foreigners but for American citizens, too. This should give all patriots some pause.
* How Government Conditioned Americans to Tyranny - Paul Craig Roberts, LewRockwell.com
[00:00:13] Broadcasting live from atop the Rocky Mountains, the crossroads of the West. You are listening to the Liberty Roundtable Radio Talk Show. All right, happy to have you along my fellow Americans, Sam Bushman live on your radio. Hard-hitting news the network refused to use, no doubt continues now. This is the broadcast for April 21st in the year of our Lord, 2025.
[00:00:38] This is Hour 202, the goal always to protect life, liberty, and property, to promote God, family, and country, and through so following the Prince of Peace. Yeah, we reject revolution unless it's a Jesus revolution. Then we're in. A big happy Easter to you all. I hope you had a delightful Easter weekend. I hope you focused on God, family, and country. And I wrote my one-liner for all of our listeners. Here it is. He is not here. He is risen. He lives. He lives. Hear him.
[00:01:09] Lowell Nelson with me now. CampaignforLiberty.org. Welcome back to Liberty Roundtable Live, sir. And a happy Easter to you and your family. Well, thank you, Sam. It's my pleasure to be back here with you on Liberty Roundtable. Good to be with you. There's so much to cover. I mentioned my kind of Easter statement, which is, hey, he lives and hear him. And then we ended up with Dr. Bradley last hour talking about the Clarion Call for Civility website that I have, too.
[00:01:35] And as far as I understand, Donald Trump really went off on Easter. Trump posts rant against his enemies on Easter. And he kind of went off. And the Pope called for a ceasefire. I don't agree with the Pope on much, but I agree with him on that. And then the Pope passed away. So it's a very interesting last several days, Lowell. Yes, it has been up and down for sure.
[00:02:00] I did enjoy the contrast of Biden's message four years ago to Trump's message. Or maybe it was just one year ago to Trump's message today, you know, about Easter. And so I find that encouraging. But, you know, we need to translate sentiment into actions.
[00:02:21] If Trump truly believes in Jesus Christ, then he would know that Jesus Christ does not want us bombing people and killing people and doing damage, you know, to our brothers and sisters around the world. And, of course, he is trying to start, you know, make peace between Ukraine and Russia. But why?
[00:02:41] But I just sure hope that he continues to try to make peace with Iran and peace with Yemen and peace with Israel and the Middle Eastern countries as well. All right. Speaking of Easter, you know, I got a gazillion Easter cards and emails and, you know, he has risen and wishing well and telling stories of Jesus. And I love that. Ron Paul continued to do that as well. Pretty interesting because he leads a very interesting conservative political movement.
[00:03:10] But yet he believes religion should be at the center of it. And I agree, Lowell. I do, too, Sam. Sam, this email from Ron Paul about Easter was very different, I believe, than from all the rest that I received. I could just feel as I read what Ron wrote that he believes to his core, Sam, every sentiment he expressed. And I would really like to read his email in its entirety. It's not that long.
[00:03:40] It's pretty brief but packed with sincerity.
[00:04:11] Quote, With seemingly endless resources. But we must always remember, as I once said in a presidential debate many years ago, we still have a lot of liberty left. America's churches stayed open through the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, the War for Southern Independence, the Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, the Cold War, the Great Depression,
[00:04:35] in untold numbers, and the Great Eastern Institute, and the Great Institute.
[00:05:04] liberty is the power of every person to exert free will it is our creator's unconditional gift to us it is the blessing from which all of our other blessings spring Easter reminds us we must incorporate the principles of liberty into the very fabric of our lives into every personal choice we make it reminds us to offer our eternal vigilance against threats to the foundational freedom that made America the country it is today
[00:05:33] America is still today the freest country in the world every generation must work to cherish defend and advance these sacred principles or we will lose them I hope you have a peaceful weekend and are able to spend some time with your loved ones soon we must return to the fight but today rejoice in the gift of Easter where love conquered death
[00:05:59] and be reminded that life love and liberty triumph over all end of quote so there you go Sam I really hope each one of us did pause yesterday to rejoice in the gift of Easter and I further hope each one of us today will take heart as we renew our efforts in this sacred cause of liberty Sam
[00:06:23] and you know I've been studying recently a little bit about the number of names that Jesus has Jesus Christ Emmanuel Prince of Peace Counselor I mean I can go on and on and on with the names of the Savior Jesus Christ and I bring that up because I think it relates here a little I think it relates to what he stands for and what he believes in and what we should be focusing on and believing in
[00:06:51] the Prince of Peace is one of my favorite well and I certainly agree Sam I you know the Prince of Peace is someone who would sue for peace and in my prayers at night time I'm always I often I often pray that leaders of countries around the world will seek diplomatic solutions to the challenges they face
[00:07:21] because if they would do that we would have less war less pestilence less famine and less death and destruction going on around us so I just really I really pray that leadership of of countries around the world will seek to be amicable friendly and and and and instead of reaching for the gun I mean it's easy to reach for the gun but it's difficult far more difficult
[00:07:51] but far more rewarding to reach for peace this reminds me of a speech I gave one time to a bunch of sheriffs and when I got done I said you know it reminds me of Taco Bell ladies and gentlemen we want to be very peaceful it reminds me of Taco Bell they say think outside the bun I want us all to think outside the gun yeah I like that but I bring that up because celebration of Easter Ron Paul what a great article but he talks about this and this is the last point I want to make Easter reminds us when we must incorporate the principles of liberty
[00:08:21] into the very fabric of our lives now I know you already said that but I want to tie that liberty to peace and to stability you know the more we liberty and peace are synonymous tyranny and war are synonymous Lowell well I think that's true I think it's and I especially appreciate his making the statement to incorporate the principles of liberty into the very fabric of our lives right because some people they grow up thinking
[00:08:50] that liberty is something external to them right and instead we need to internalize liberty and act like we're free act like we have the agency that God gave us and then make sure that we work in the sacred cause of liberty every day you know from it's not it's not just a hobby this is not a hobby folks you know working in the sacred cause of liberty is something that we should do every day
[00:09:21] and and you know in the decisions we make in the conversations we have and in the encouragement that we give other people it's just a daily habit it's just the way we live our lives it's the very fabric of our lives to be free to live free to to maintain our property and to exercise our property rights that's that's living free and I think that's what he has in mind here amen and I think Ron Paul nails it when he talks about you know
[00:09:51] celebrating Easter you start talking about Easter and the relationship of Christ to liberty after all he is the author of our liberty but then Ron Paul has another column standing on the edge of the Iran war Ron Paul this is very interesting because it's at Easter time the contrast couldn't be more clear lol that's right Sam I was quite taken by this column because it is so stark
[00:10:18] and it has a lesson for us a very important lesson because see last weekend people around the world were holding their breath as Trump's special envoy Steve Whitcoff talked with the foreign minister of Iran to see whether or not we'd have peace or war with Iran and it's just bizarre Sam to think that two people could make that decision and that's the folks let's talk about how it was designed and why
[00:10:47] for a second Ron Paul spot on ladies and gentlemen campaignforliberty.org RonPaulinstitute.org back in seconds with Lil Nelson do you treasure your liberty well at lovingliberty.net we most certainly do and we want to help protect your liberty too become part of the family everyone knows that the core of any society is the family therefore the government should foster and protect the integrity of its family we the people
[00:11:17] won't you join us as a Loving Liberty sponsor to help us promote the principles in the 5000 year leap let's restore the miracle that changed the world at lovingliberty.net as you are aware America is divided over every fault line possible this is intentionally fostered by those who do not love God family or country we believe a peaceful future as a free people absolutely depends on civility clarion call for civility is looking for funding and volunteers at every level to make our hopes
[00:11:47] and efforts a reality please donate sign our pledge and help us in our sacred cause please visit callforcivility.com for more details callforcivility.com you know where the solution can be found Mr. President in churches in wedding chapels in maternity wards across the country and around the world more babies will mean forward looking adults the sort we need to tackle long term large scale problems American babies in particular
[00:12:16] are likely going to be wealthier better educated and more conservation minded than children raised in still industrializing countries as economist Tyler Cowen recently wrote quote by having more children you're making your nation more populous thus boosting its capacity to solve climate change the planet does not need for us to think globally and act locally so much as it needs us to think family and act personally
[00:12:46] the solution to so many of our problems at all times and in all places is to fall in love get married and have some kids welcome back ladies and gentlemen this is Lowell Nelson riding shotgun this morning with Sam Bushman your host here on Liberty Roundtable Live talking about this excellent column
[00:13:16] from Ron Paul about he's talking about a cliff saying the U.S. is standing near the edge of a cliff well this cliff is the war with Iran if we actually go down that path and it turns out that Steve Whitcoff who is Trump's special envoy Whitcoff talked with the foreign minister of Iran to see whether they would go for peace or whether they would go for war and Ron Paul writes this quote
[00:13:45] this is an excellent example of why our founders were so determined to keep war making authority out of the executive branch of government no one person much less his aid should have the power to take this country to war end of quote which is exactly why the power to declare war rests exclusively with Congress not the president or his aid quote after all it is the U.S. people who will be expected
[00:14:14] to fight the wars and to pay for the wars and to bear the burden of the outcome of the wars when that incredible power is placed in the hands of one individual even if that individual is elected the temptation to use it is far too great our founders recognized this weakness in the system they were rebelling against which was the British monarchy so they wisely corrected it when they drafted our constitution end of quote so Ron Paul
[00:14:43] explains here that unless the United States is under direct attack or facing a direct attack the constitution requires that Congress deliberate and decide whether the U.S. will go to war they did not want the decision to go to war to be easily made they wanted it to be difficult Ron Paul states further quote when wars can be started by presidents with no authority granted by Congress the results can be the kinds of endless
[00:15:12] military engagements with ever-shifting unachievable objectives such as we've seen in Afghanistan and Iraq end of quote well the case in point here is the bombing of Yemen Trump decided to do that not Congress and Trump ought to be impeached for that decision just like Biden before him and Obama and Bush and all the other presidents who have started a war without a declaration of war by Congress this is absolutely treasonous the most recent
[00:15:41] declaration of war from Congress was in the 1940s right Japan and Germany every war since then has been prosecuted by our president it's been illegal the president does not have the authority now they will say the other side will say well yeah the Congress gave him they delegated to president the authority to use military force against these other countries but I say I say that is you know I call BS
[00:16:11] on that I guess that's Amen I would just say where do they get the authority to delegate the authority exactly because none is found in the Constitution right if there were you would be reading the words like the authority to delegate this to someone else or to another body is hereby given right I mean it's just like it would be like delegating to the Supreme Court of the United States authority to prosecute the war right you just don't
[00:16:41] find that in the Constitution and if it's not written well and if you delegate all the authority to one person then pretty soon you'd turn that person virtually into a king right that's right or a monarch or whatever you want to call it a dictator and Trump is acting like a dictator when he started dropping bombs on Yemen and this is treasonous the founders called this treason when any irrigation of power that's not explicitly granted in the Constitution they called it
[00:17:11] treason and they also talked about there's this idea of a war criminal as well right that's right they called it invasion they called it conquest they called it treason nation expansion or whatever you want to call it yeah Michael Bolden has a great article over at 10thamendmentcenter.com about this very very this very concept and the framers were emphatic about the penalty for treason being death so it's nothing
[00:17:40] to play around with and yet we let our presidents get off with this this treasonous activity this irrigation of power that you know exercise of power they don't have it's there they're stealing power from the American people when they do this so he and so this is and so Ron Paul puts it this way quote starting a war with Iran was the furthest thing from the minds
[00:18:10] of American voters last November and certainly those who voted for Donald Trump were at least partly motivated by his promise to end current wars and to start no new wars however there is a strange logic that to fulfill the promise of no new wars the U.S. must saber rattle around the world to intimidate others from crossing the White House this is what the recycled phrase peace through strength seems to have come to mean that the real strength that it takes to make
[00:18:39] and keep peace is the strength to just walk away it is the strength to stop meddling in conflicts that have nothing to do with the United States end of quote and it's the strength to not fall for lies as well what they always say is hey the reason we send all of our people over there is because if not we'll have war over here and I think that's a complete lie we're standing at the edge of an Iran war I pray we don't have one but there's late breaking news that just came out
[00:19:11] that's Russia today and I'm not telling you that I believe Russia today 100% you've got to be careful of all organizations but the headline says Putin enacts key treaty with Iran oh boy that ups the ante quite a bit Lowell well it does because that just means that Russia will be they'll back Iran if Iran if someone starts making war with Iran then Russia is going to
[00:19:40] come to their support to their aid to assist them in their defense so if you pick a war with Iran you're picking war with Russia so another reason not to go to war with Iran so I just love and I don't understand why do we want why do we want to do all this what's the advantage is it power is it prestige is it money is it betrayal is it deep state is it you've got to wonder what it is and I suspect that it's all of the above from whoever's involved at different levels
[00:20:09] some people genuinely believe the lies that they've been told that all you've got to do is meddle in the affairs and breach the sovereignty of others and somehow you're on holy high ground for doing so that propaganda has got to be dismissed with or dispensed of immediately and say listen where does the authority for this come from what would be the mandate if we're going to talk about the resurrected Lord what would be his mandate would it be go to war in the name of peace would it be fight them over there so they don't come over here would it be you know what are those lies with the savior espouse or back
[00:20:40] you know even I one of my favorite stories in the scriptures are when hey after the garden of gethsemane and the savior came out and judas betrayed him and with a kiss and then you know peter was ready to fight for the cause and so he chopped off the ear of the soldier and the savior basically said stop peter this isn't the right way to go about this and he basically put he healed his ear I guess put the ear back on I don't know how to he healed his ear and I'm
[00:21:10] thinking to you lol or thinking and sharing this with you lol just imagine if you're one of the soldiers and you're coming to arrest this guy and everybody says hey he's the savior he's the messiah he's the one and then his buddy his soldier chops off your ear and you're thinking oh boy this is getting rowdy and then the savior Jesus Christ is like stop peter you're not supposed to do that and he heals your ear I'd be like guys wait a minute let's powwow before this arrest for a second hold on what on earth just happened
[00:21:39] and see he led with that now some people say well he's not always a man of peace I get it that eventually there'll be a war between righteous good evil bad and I realize there's battle lines there but we win the war with love and peace we don't win the war with hate and vitriol and I really think that's what Ron Paul's pointing here let's celebrate Easter and let's not go to war and I love it well I do too Sam and I love his closing statement where he said quote the real strength that it
[00:22:09] takes to make and keep peace is the strength to just walk away it is the strength to stop meddling in conflict that have nothing to do with us end of quote which reminds me of what he said on the campaign trail when he was running for president he says everybody wants a strong president he says and so Ron says well I do too I want a president who's strong enough to resist the temptation to arrogate
[00:22:38] power he does not have and so if Ron Paul were our president today he would not be dropping bombs he would not be making a decision to drop bombs on Yemen unilaterally which is what Trump did if Ron Paul were our president today or if Jesus Christ were our president today of the United States Sam I firmly believe that if he felt so strong so strongly about going to war dropping bombs on some other country he would
[00:23:07] ask Congress for a declaration of war why because that is what the Constitution requires that's the agreement that we made that the states made when they put together this federal government and in no other way can that power be exercised but by the Constitution that's what we need to get back to folks Trump as you know is pretty arrogant he's boastful
[00:23:37] he loves to be flattered but he's a bully and he believes that we can achieve peace by bullying others into doing what we want them to do well there's a much better path and it's the path that Jesus Christ advocates and that's the path of peace invite other countries to be peaceful and don't get involved don't force them to do what you want them to do Sam the Prince of Peace is about agency and the ability
[00:24:06] to choose Satan's plan is a plan of force you and I are in the middle in the war in heaven that's been continued on earth as for me in my house we will serve the Lord hang tight more with Lowell Nelson campaign for liberty.org you are listening to Liberty Roundtable Live

[00:30:19] liberty roundtable radio talk show well welcome back ladies and gentlemen so glad you're with us here on liberty roundtable live again my name is loal nelson riding shotgun this morning with sam bushman your host at liberty roundtable we just finished a great little column from ron paul talking about the cliff we're standing on next to iran thinking about going to war with them i should pray that we do not do that
[00:30:47] and this is you know congress should be jumping up and down and saying you know they should be reminding the president that he doesn't have the authority to unilaterally take us to war he simply does not have that authority i guess they he could argue the president could argue that the congress gave him the authority and the authorization to use military force act passed in 2001 but you know sam and i would argue that congress did
[00:31:17] not have the authority to give him to delegate that power in the first place and so where's congress well they're not going to stand up and say that hey we you don't have that authority when when actually they gave it to him they need to they need to reverse that they need to to rescind that act and and take from the president the authority to use military force and get back to the constitution now what can states do about this well this is where i believe that states every state
[00:31:47] in the union really ought to pass a defend the guard act defend the guard act is something that prohibits the deployment of national guardsmen to a combat zone without a formal declaration of war by congress and this would be a pretty intense and meaningful statement in my opinion if the president knew that the national guard units in the several states
[00:32:17] could not be deployed to a combat zone then he would be less likely to actually declare war and send troops into a combat zone states should do this to protect their citizens the ones who are members of the national guard that would be a good step forward a way the states could begin to pull back this power that's being exercised by the president unlawfully well that was that column Ron Paul had
[00:32:46] another great column he's raising the alarm about the real ID act because Christine Noem the secretary of the department of homeland security said that beginning on May 7th which is just about three weeks away that real ID at airports is going to be enforced in other words she wants to stop you from flying or entering certain government buildings unless you possess
[00:33:15] a digital ID linked to a national database the so called real ID that's right Republican Christine Noem is going to affirm the deadline that the Biden administration put into place last year now the real ID mandate was first enacted in 2005 but it's been pushed back every several years because people do not want it Ron Paul writes people hate it airlines oppose it even state governments don't want
[00:33:45] to implement it just today media reported New Jersey residents are frantic because there aren't even enough appointments available to acquire a real ID end of quote because folks real ID is really a national ID and the campaign for liberty believes that it when fully implemented will be digitized embedded on your phone made real time and remote accessible and used to track and control travel
[00:34:15] movement purchases and transactions end of quote in other words folks it may well lead to a China-like social credit scoring system might even be linked to a global identification system where your medical records your bank transactions and more are kept in a master government database well Ron Paul isn't the only one speaking out about this representative Thomas Massey from Kentucky is also speaking out against this system
[00:34:44] urging President Trump not to enforce it this is what representative Massey says about it says real ID isn't needed it won't stop terrorists from hijacking planes real ID is a national standard and database of IDs that is primarily a tool for the control of Americans its power and purpose will be realized when everyone complies but not before real ID provides no benefit yet presents a serious risk
[00:35:14] to freedom if the plane pilots door is locked and passengers are weapon free why does the government need to give you permission to fly real ID provides no benefit yet presents a serious risk to freedom and so there you have it folks that's what Thomas Massey is talking about he's basically it's a massive threat to gun owners too by the way some states have already attempted to mandate real ID as a condition of buying a firearm
[00:35:43] Ron Paul first warned us about real ID 20 years ago quote this is nationalization this is it will be the introduction of the notion that we will be carrying our papers it might actually be worse than just carrying and showing our papers because there will be no limitation on the information that may be placed on this ID card the secretary of homeland security can add anything it wants if they would like to put on there that you belong to a pro-gun group it may well appear on your
[00:36:13] national ID card because there may be an administration that wants that information there is no limitation as far as biometrics there's no limitation as far as RFID that technology is already available and being used in our passports which means that you don't have to show your papers all you have to do is walk by somebody that has a radio frequency ability to read your passport or to read your driver's license end of quote I realize that was a long quote
[00:36:43] but that's what Ron Paul said about it years and years ago when in fact the DHS secretary at the time Michael Chertoff suggested real ID would be needed to cash a check or to hire a babysitter or to board a plane or engage in countless other activities so the campaign for liberty is urging patriots not to comply with this unconstitutional mandate they don't go into a lot of details on how we do that but they promise
[00:37:13] that additional information will be forthcoming I hope that comes along Sam because you know I've been using my real ID and I they've slow walked real ID manipulating and duping the American people to the point where we already have it and I know people are saying hey Sam there's different ways you go about this you don't have to use your driver's license you can use your passport instead all I'm telling you this we can play games with words all we want by the time you have a passport
[00:37:42] by the time you real ID means except for the government has no authority to keep these databases and these dossiers on the American people whether it's driver's license or a state ID card whether it's social security whether it's a passport at
[00:38:18] some and then you tie that to social credits like the credit scores that we have today on our finance you back that into a social credit you mix in digital currency and boy how do they have the card straight from hell lol that's for sure you know I haven't been using my driver's license when I fly for the past two or three four years but Ron makes it sound like the passport is already being tracked it is
[00:38:49] does it have an RFID chip in your passport I don't know the answer to that but I know it's tracked and I know the second they look at that passport they can literally get anything they want on you because again in order to get a passport you got to have an ID or maybe it'll be a real idea whatever okay you have to put all this information in and by the time you do what do they need a real ID for passports like the international global real ID right so I'm just telling you
[00:39:29] 20 years and now you've got Donald Trump of all men ramming it down the throats of the American people right that's exactly where's Donald when you need him Donald should be and you go look on the internet where's Donald saying hey this real idea is horrible we don't have authority or right to track the American people I'm going to basically he put a hold on TikTok your entertainment what about putting a hold on real ID Donald but see he's nowhere to be found him and his administration are pushing it well and everybody had high hopes for Kristi Noem too when she defied the mandate
[00:39:59] but I wish she would defy this real ID mandate and say look we're not going to enforce it because it's an intrusion on the privacy of the people and you know the people have a right to be left alone that's the man but all this really goes back to habeas corpus lol that's the end game with this sucker isn't it well that's exactly what Jacob G. Hornberger would say I
[00:40:37] Abrago Garcia was deported to El Salvador by the Trump administration and it may be that the Trump administration may have figured out a way to circumvent the right of habeas corpus not only for foreigners but for American citizens too and this should give all patriots some pause Sam why is this important because without the right of habeas corpus we do not have a free society that's why it's important
[00:41:07] Hornberger illustrates his point as follows quote let's assume that one day an American citizen castigates President Trump for policies he has adopted a few days later like Sam Bushman saying Trump shoving real ID down our throats that kind of thing you mean yeah exactly that kind of thing okay just wondering and so a few days later in the middle of the night homeland security agents bash down his door take him into custody incarcerate him right and this is where
[00:41:37] habeas corpus comes in see a lawyer for the American citizen who is imprisoned will file with the court a petition for a writ of habeas corpus the judge issues that writ which is served on the person who is holding the critic in jail the writ commands the custodian to bring the critic into court where the judge orders the government to explain why the critic is incarcerated when the government
[00:42:06] fails to explain why to the judge's satisfaction the judge then orders that the critic be released and so he's a free man again that is the power of habeas corpus it protects a person's rights of speech assembly and petition and so forth all of the rights that we have are protected by habeas corpus in other words it's a fundamental piece of due process ladies and gentlemen and it's as old as the Magna
[00:42:36] Carta in the 1200s and it's been a practice and exercise throughout the history of England for hundreds and hundreds of years and then the framers enshrined this concept right in the Constitution when they actually name the right of habeas corpus well turns out that rulers with dictatorial proclivities they hate habeas corpus Abraham Lincoln for example suspended the
[00:43:06] right of habeas corpus he illegally by the way suspended the right of habeas corpus during the war for southern independence and this enabled his military underlings to arbitrarily arrest and imprison thousands of critics of Lincoln's policies now the Supreme Court came along and declared that Lincoln's actions were unconstitutional that's Judge Taney issued that opinion but Lincoln ignored the court's opinion
[00:43:35] saying well let Taney enforce it right basically just thumbed his nose flouted the court's opinion well after 9-11 the U.S. established a prison and torture camp in Guantanamo Bay Cuba why well they didn't want the courts to interfere they didn't want the prisoners to have the right of habeas corpus and there again eventually the Supreme Court disagreed and said look prisoners held at Guantanamo Bay
[00:44:05] were within the jurisdiction of federal courts in other words they had the right to habeas corpus but here's the kicker folks what if the U.S. regime could get a foreign power to hold its prisoners for it right that's where this arrangement between Trump and El Salvador President Nayib Bukele comes into play Hornberger describes what might happen to a critic of the president in this
[00:44:34] case quote some well armed military unit will bash down the door of the critic home in the middle of the night they'll take the critic into custody and quickly whisk him
[00:45:05] say and the man he'll have that foreign country what to do similarly U.S. courts cannot tell a foreign country what to do and Sam once a few dozen Americans disappear this way the exercise of free speech will be chilled big time that's when people will be afraid to speak up
[00:45:30] and the freedom of speech will have been severely weakened i tell you what sam this would cast a horrible silence over our country seems to me that congress better outlaw this practice immediately and the county sheriffs better step up to stop such arrests in their county and right now because it's illegal aliens this is being celebrated or if it's enemy combatants is what they call them
[00:45:55] like you know 9-11 or whatever it's celebrated and everything else but how far will this go even if trump keeps it between the lines and uses this properly or whatever you want to say how long will it be till the next president what if joe biden had that power so folks you got to understand that these powers are double-edged swords oftentimes if we're not very careful we're going to struggle struggle struggle even more so than we already are to bring america back to its peaceful uh leadership
[00:46:22] in the world paul craig roberts really highlights how we've been basically desensitized to these realities lol that's right he wrote a column that's posted at lewrockwell.com in it are just a couple of ideas that i want to highlight he writes quote americans have become so accustomed to living under tyranny that they are probably incapable of recognizing tyranny once upon a time april 15th was
[00:46:49] the annual day of infamy it was the day you had to pay your income taxes end of quote he then i was hoping donald was going to shut that down you know yeah well ron paul wanted to that's one of the things he wanted to get rid of was the irs well ron paul craig roberts then contrasts that you know
[00:47:10] with today i mean decades ago everybody hated april 15th but today quote instead of seeing april 15th is the day americans turn over to a master a share of their year's working time americans experience a bonanza they get a tax refund a gift from the government just in time for their summer vacation for them income tax withholding is a form of forced saving they are over withheld and denied the use of
[00:47:40] their money all year long and then receive it as a refund end of quote wow what a contrast just imagine the complaints we would hear sam if a taxpayer had to pay their entire tax bill on april 15th of each year but the government sees the current system as a great benefit to itself because you never see that portion of your paycheck that is withheld by your employer and sent to the government
[00:48:05] quote government regards it as wonderful how stupid americans are and how stupid americans regard it as wonderful that the government sends them money every year for their summer vacation how exactly do you make a government this corrupt and a people this stupid great again right this maga make america great again how do you do it when the people are this stupid well serfdom is so institutionalized that it is
[00:48:32] not even recognized end of quote and so sam he concludes his column with something you have been teaching us for years quote for most of our history the u.s government was financed by tariffs if we could return to tariffs as the basis for government revenue we could regain our freedom end of quote what do you think about that sam i agree with trump 100 percent tariffs are vital
[00:48:59] i don't like one man man manhandling tariffs like i don't like one man handling the decision to go to war or not i think congress should step up to the plate and be involved they're derelict in their duty and um they're simply missing an action uh but i think we could bring truth to power and we should reduce the government say look we've got this much money from tariffs we've got this much money from apportionments based on the population the census from the states uh and these two forms of revenue we
[00:49:26] have and how much can we you know generate from that good whatever that number is we're gonna have to have government live within their means uh and live within your means act is what i would call it and and you know we're gonna do this but see nobody has the guts i mean the only person i know in the house that has the guts is thomas massey the only people that i know that have the guts in the senator might be mike lee and rand paul other than that i don't really see anybody else advocating for this kind of stuff in a direct clear manner now others might come aboard if there was some leadership
[00:49:55] provided i get it but in my mind that's where we really need to start we need to follow um the example of the savior and promote peace we need to follow the example of the founding fathers and use the checks and balances that made america great right but government has conditioned americans to literally love tyranny they don't even recognize it when it's there and if you promote freedom they're like are you crazy and we've indoctrinated the people and you got to unlearn the propaganda before you
[00:50:22] can learn the truth lol well that's right sam you know and this uh income tax uh when it was first uh passed by congress it applied only to the upper like one or two percent of the country they were rich enough to to have to pay the tax in other words it didn't even touch the working man and so that's why the states went along with it right and they said well it doesn't apply to me well that i and i
[00:50:49] like and i i liken that to the column about habeas corpus right so right now the u.s regime is transporting gangsters you know uh wicked evil gangsters deporting them to el salvadorian prisons and everybody's cheering that because we're deporting the bad guys well that sets a precedent just like the
[00:51:12] income tax set a precedent and they later ratcheted down the rates and to the point where everybody you know the middle class now pays that tax and the same thing will happen if we allow the president to deport so-called domestic terrorists or foreign terrorists or foreign nationals who are you know gang members whatever if we allow them to if we allow the the u.s regime to deport these
[00:51:38] folks without due process then we are um we are we are making a slippery slope here we're creating a pathway by which we will be next right and so after the gangs are are gone then they they'll name you know other people as bad guys and it might be you that they name they've already called me and james edwards reported on the congressional record by these clowns that these you know these domestic
[00:52:07] terrorist threat hearings they've already reported me and my buddy james edwards they call us the nexus of anti-government and hate in america it couldn't be further from the truth but hey once that stuff gets documented to the record it's really hard to live down truth be damned right that's the first uh casualty of war sam is truth right um and so this is very concerning this uh uh what the u.s
[00:52:33] administration is doing to these gangsters see that's a domestic issue and we talked about this last week sam that when you break a law a domestic law then you you deserve due process in order before you're convicted and punished you you get due process that's just the nature of things but if they can change this into a military conflict if they can declare war on druggies and criminals you
[00:53:01] know violent gang members then they can employ the military to to arrest them and whisk them off without due process so it's just a very slippery slope a dangerous slope for us to be on sam the constitution and the declaration of independence work in tandem in my humble opinion with the ten commandments the bill of rights uh and we need to really understand these things from a god family
[00:53:29] country point of view we need to follow the prince of peace we need habeas corpus we need to stand on the rule of law we need to celebrate and demand and insist on the checks and balances that made america great everyone needs to be forced to stay in their lane and we the people are the key to getting that done and the only way that enough people can be marshaled i don't know if that's the right word or brought forward to advocate for that until we get enough people our system is designed to stop us
[00:53:56] wisely so even though it's frustrating the key is education education education so that we can get americans to understand and demand their liberty you have a republic if you can keep it a woman was told when she asked what kind of government we have we got to get involved folks and there's no substitute for we the people being involved in the proper role of limited constitutional moral government lol nelson thank you so much
[00:54:23] good to be with you thank you sam appreciate you lol nelson campaign for liberty.org one of the organizations i highly recommend because they're focused on solutions not just problems i testify we follow the prince of peace call for civility.com check it out and god save our republic
