* Former FBI Special Agent Steve Friend, who was suspended without pay after raising concerns about the level of FBI force used to round up even misdemeanor Jan. 6 suspects, called Jensen’s appointment “disappointing.”

That's nothing compared to how the government spies on us today, where every electronic device is bugged, and AI algorithms can make use of the massive quantity of data in ways the Communists could never have imagined.
* One way or another, the government tries to get access to every phone call, every text message, every email, every Internet browsing session of you and other innocent Americans.
* All of this is completely unconstitutional and grossly immoral. The government spies on us all: all day, every day. You and your family have no privacy from the government.
* The same surveillance that was weaponized against President Trump himself is still going on to this day.
[00:00:13] Broadcasting live from atop the Rocky Mountains, the crossroads of the West. You are listening to the Liberty Roundtable Radio Talk Show. All right. Happy to have you along, my fellow Americans. Sam Bushman live on your radio. Hard-hitting news that I refuse to use, no doubt, continues now. This is the broadcast for April the 10th in the year of our Lord 2025. This is Hour 2 of 2. The goal always is to protect life, liberty, and property.
[00:00:43] To promote God, family, and country, to do so on your radio and the traditions of our founding fathers, we reject revolution, unless it's a Jesus revolution. Then we're in because we follow the Prince of Peace. Wow, we had a great hour last hour. Brian Russ, RussQuinnandGift.com. That's what it used to be. Now it's FreeWaterQuinnCo.com. FreeWaterQuinnCo.com. We also had our guest on Pete Sepp, President of the National Taxpayers Union. And we really talked about the Honest Money Report, ladies and gentlemen. Gold. Gold. It's amazing.
[00:01:13] Whenever we have turmoil in the markets, gold does well. Does that surprise you? The founding fathers knew it. We know it. Why we can't return to it is beyond me. $31.28.50. $3,128 for one ounce. One troy ounce of gold. Do you realize it used to be $20 for one ounce?
[00:01:41] Think about that, folks. Silver. Silver. $31.10. Used to be $1. $31.10. Used to be $1. Isn't that shocking? $31.28.50. Let me put this into my calculator for a minute here. $31.28.50. Okay? And I'm going to divide that by $20. Because it used to be $20 for an ounce of gold, right?
[00:02:11] $156.50. $156.50. Our dollar has been destroyed or reduced. Inflation absolutely through the roof, ladies and gentlemen. Just through the roof. Anyway, we talked about it's a big old shame. Mike Johnson, we have the votes necessary to draft and pass President Donald Trump's big, beautiful bill. That's not impressive. You think that's a big old win, don't you, Mike Johnson?
[00:02:41] I think it's a clown show. I think it's a disgrace. Why? Because we don't need a big, beautiful bill. What we need are a series of tiny, tiny, straight up and down vote bills. Single issue. Clear. Is this constitutional? Yes or no. Right? This is Sam Bushman. You're calling me live on the radio. What can I do for you? Business Outreach Group.
[00:03:11] We're trying to reach you on Google. They're calling me over and over and over. When are these people going to stop? See, I thought we used to have these things in America where you're not allowed just to call people. There's this spam thing. And it's how do you do that? Google can do whatever they want to. They're above the two-class system. They're in the preferred class, aren't they? Anyway, so Mike Johnson thinks this is awesome for a big, beautiful bill. I don't think so. I want little teeny bills. Straight up and down, single issue bills that are clear and easy to understand. Less than a page. Is it constitutional?
[00:03:40] I want to know. If it is, show me the chapter and verse. If it's not, then we've got to do one of two things. Either immediately jettison it or so we don't crash the plane, we need to sunset it. Slowly but surely, you know, create a dead date for it or an extraction date for it. Right? But they're not doing that. They're just doing this big, beautiful bill. Congress has absolutely failed us. Congress is going to basically, between the judges and Congress, the other two branches of government,
[00:04:09] think about the legislative branch and the judicial branch, those two branches are literally swamping Donald Trump. Okay? Anyway, there you have it. We talked about this UN shipping tax. It's a fuel global shipping tax. They want to basically implement this. They desperately want access to your money. And they're going to get it done, folks, if we allow them to. Right?
[00:04:38] I mean, it's a disgrace. They're moving to digital currency and they want to, quote, globally charge us. I don't see anybody speaking out about this really except for Alex Newman, myself, and a few other people. They've been dreaming of taxing humanity from the start. Now they're about to get it done. How do we stop this? Well, we bring attention to it, first of all. Secondly, you let your congressmen and senators know, hey, we want to reject this. Sad part is it's frustrating for me. I don't even know that calling your congressmen and senators make any difference anymore.
[00:05:08] Just doesn't make any difference anymore. Right? I know it's tragic, but it's true. All right. Let me give you an example to make my point. House votes on taking action against, quote, rogue judges. Rebecca Downs over at townhall.com has the piece, and good for her. House passes the, listen, No Rogue Rulings Act.
[00:05:36] The House passes No Rogue Rulings Act. Final vote, 219 to 213. Representative Mike Turner was the only one, the sole GOP guy to vote no. Why he would vote no, I don't really know. I don't know. I don't understand it. But this is great news. It's really good news.
[00:06:03] Except, A, unless it passes the Senate, unless Trump signs it, it's a great symbolic effort, but it means nothing, right? Now, I think we need to start impeaching these clown judges. We don't just need some new legislative piece that says, hey, no, no, Rogue Rulings. That's great. I appreciate that. But what's the penalty? Do these judges get, like, put in prison? If they, you know, promote their activism from the bench? What happens here?
[00:06:33] And I don't really know how to know if there's any teeth in the bill. You say, Sam, read the bill. No, no, no. It's just a House bill right now. Yes, it passed the House. But, hey, by the time it gets to the Senate, the Senate puts their tweaks in it. And they do this reconciliation. Or they do this, we're going to work on the language. And then, you know, I don't know what it'll look like in the end. There's no point reading it as it's so preliminary, right? I can't read every bill, especially every preliminary bill. The House voted and it passed. That's great. But where's the Senate on it? Don't really know.
[00:07:02] That's kind of what I mean is everything is in such limbo. It's just impossible to get a handle on where anything stands. But I'll give you an example of how the judges are out of control. Listen carefully. Listen carefully to me. A federal judge just ordered the White House to restore the Associated Press's full access to President Trump.
[00:07:27] They find that the effort to ban Trump or ban the Associated Press based on their coverage violates the First Amendment. So Trump basically said, hey, these clowns over at the Associated Press, they're peddling fake news. They're manipulating the stories. We don't like it. We're going to not let them join us. The judge says, oh, yes, you will.
[00:07:51] Well, we see the need now for the House taking action and passing the rogue judges. No rogue rulings act. The House passed it. Well, it makes sense. A federal judge just ordered the White House to include the Associated Press. But here's my question. And I don't know. I don't have the money to do this, so I can't follow through. Just don't have the money. Don't have the time. Just I mean, I don't have the wherewithal.
[00:08:17] Well, but what about if we just sue and say, why should the Associated Press get access to Trump? And I don't get access to Trump. Well, Sam, because you're nobody and the Associated Press is like God when it comes to the news. Don't you know that? No, that's false. See, I report the truth to the best of my ability. I don't think the Associated Press does.
[00:08:42] Furthermore, hey, is our system designed, First Amendment, to where, hey, certain people get granted special privilege access and others don't? Is that right? Does that make sense? See, somebody needs to sue the Associated Press over this. Sue the judge and sue the White House and say, hey, why are we debating if the AP gets access when I don't have any access? Shouldn't it be a given that I get access too? Who? Anyway, there you have it.
[00:09:11] I maintain that we need to shut down these government agencies. And I really think we need to. The IRS commissioner just quit. He said, hey, if you're going to be passing IRS information to the Homeland Security, DHS, then I'm going to resign. I can't be involved in that. It's a violation of the integrity of the IRS. Look, that's a criminal organization. Judge, jury, and executioner. It's been weaponized against the American people. Lois Lerner proves the point.
[00:09:39] And why don't we do something about it? Because no one's going to do anything about it. Now, I don't know if you know this, but Kash Patel, and I voted for, or I supported Kash Patel publicly, if you will. And I still think he's a great guy. And I pray that he can do this. But again, he's getting trashed by the deep state as well in many, many, many respects.
[00:10:01] Headline, though, says Trump replaces Kash Patel with Army Secretary Dan Driscoll as acting ATF chief. The gatewaypundit.com with this piece. Now, here's the deal. Kash Patel got sworn in as the FBI guy, right? Okay. But he also, because they didn't have anybody to run the BATF, he got in charge of the BATF as well. Now they're saying, hey, we're going to let Kash go. He doesn't need to do both jobs anymore.
[00:10:29] Kind of interesting, because they claimed he wasn't even qualified to run one of the departments. But he ran both. And now they're going to put Army Secretary Dan Driscoll in his place. Here's my question. Why are we putting somebody in charge of the BATF? Why didn't Kash just shut that clown criminal organization down while he had the chance, huh? Just wondering. Hang tight. More in seconds. Liberty Roundtable Live.

[00:13:16] And you kind of kind of wonder what on earth do we do here in America when things are just so bad? I mean, they could shut down the IRS. The IRS clown chief, whatever you want to call it, just quit. Shut that sucker down right now, Donald. You've got an opportunity. You put tariffs on hold for 90 days. That's fantastic. But now you've got to decrease the burden on the American people. Get it done.
[00:13:43] And now Kash Patel is no longer involved in the BATF. Shut down the BATF. It's a criminal organization. Right? Anyway, now it turns out the former Arkansas governor, Mike Huckabee, appointed as the, quote, U.S. ambassador to Israel. James Mayers or Myers with this piece. I just don't understand this.
[00:14:12] U.S. ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee. I'm very disappointed and very concerned about a lot of this. Because, man, why do we need to treat Israel like their God? Okay. We treat China like our most favored nation trading partner, knowing full well they hate us. Knowing full well that we've been literally having a trade deficit for decades with them. Destroying jobs. Destroying manufacturing. Destroying agriculture in America. All on the altar of the commonest Chinese.
[00:14:41] And what have they done with the money? The incredible trade deficits. Dollars flowing their direction for decades. They've built up their military like nobody's business. Why do we allow that to happen in the first place? See, that's the problem. And now we're letting former Arkansas governor lead Israel. What that means is he'll just back Israel 100%. And we're just going to basically go all, you know, hostile on Palestine.
[00:15:10] Turn the Gaza Strip into what? An entertainment party zone? Like Mardi Gras on the Strip? You know? What a way to put our perversions and our corruption and our moral degradation and all that in front of the people in Israel. Why would we do that kind of stuff? They already hate us. Many of these people, whether it's Israel or Hamas or whoever, they hate us. They just love the money we give them.
[00:15:37] But they think we're all infidels and evil and our Western civilization is just corrupt as all get out. And sadly, to a great degree, they're right. And I look at this and I just go, man, what are we going to do about this? Well, what they're going to do is they're going to back Israel. We're just going to garner more hatred around the world. And all for what? I don't know. But I don't think Mike Huckabee is the guy to lead this at all. But that's what Donald Trump just put in place. Anyway. All right.
[00:16:05] Yesterday on the show, we had Lance Migliaccio and George Valentin with me. And I asked an important question that they didn't have the answer to. I really would have loved to have time to ask Pete Sepp and Brian their take on this as well. But can you think of a single law-abiding good thing that the president of the United States could do or say that the majority of the American people and or government officials would agree with and say, hey, you know what, I can get behind that.
[00:16:36] I can champion that. Is there a single item? See, I don't see it. I don't think no matter what we take on at this point, I don't think there's anything that's good that they can agree with. Now, they might say it 10 years ago and agree. But now that Trump would say it or advocate for it or whatever else, they would disagree. Right? Right?
[00:17:03] Is there anything the president could say or do that's good, that's righteous, that's on point, that's valued, that's lawful, law-abiding, whatever? Okay. Is there anything good that Trump could say or do that we would get, for the most part, universal agreement on in the country? I get there's going to be a few naysayers to everything. So I know you won't have 100%. But is there a single thing where we could say, man, you know what, 70%, 75%, three-quarters of the people are on board for that. Can you think of a single item?
[00:17:33] And when I really saw that DJ kid with cancer and Donald Trump made him an honorary Secret Service agent, I really thought, you know what, this is one. Teenager with cancer. Good little kid. Everybody would be back. They literally rioted. They couldn't tolerate it. They couldn't stand. Anyway, wow. Jamie Diamond says that recession is the likely outcome.
[00:18:02] He said that before the tariffs 90-day window happened. I don't know what he thinks about it now. I think we're going to have a recession, though, as long as you continue to meddle in the marketplace, creating a moral hazard, meaning no one knows what to count on. I, as a business, am going, okay, I appreciate it. You got rid of 90% of the tariffs, but I'm sorry, you got rid of the tariffs for 90 days on all the countries, 75 countries, not on China.
[00:18:30] What if most of my products that I create and use come out of China? Is somebody going to blink on that one? What's going to happen next? And I think this confusion in the marketplace is really critical. Now, some are saying Donald Trump's not joking. He's really calling a halt to the income tax. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. Okay? I think we're in serious trouble.
[00:19:01] Anyway, it's just disgrace. Elon Musk called Peter Navarro a moron. I find that kind of interesting. Navarro basically said that, hey, Musk doesn't really even have a car manufacturing company. He has a car assembly company. Well, it's hard to say there's not a lot of truth to that, but that's true for all. I maintain all car manufacturers in this case.
[00:19:30] So, I mean, I appreciate Peter's point, but I think he's simplifying it way too much because he's acting like Elon's that way, but the other car manufacturers are not. They're all that way to a great degree. By the way, yesterday on April the 9th, 1865, after four bloody years of conflict, General Robert E. Lee surrendered. And many people said back in the day the South is going to rise again. We haven't seen it.
[00:20:01] And, you know, I'm not a secession guy. So, I didn't want the South to secede in the first place, but I will say this. They were right on so many points it's not even funny. States' rights being chief among them. We've lost a lot of states' rights. We've lost a lot of our mojo. We've lost a lot of our real advantage there. Sad but true. Right? So, anyway, there you have that. Gateway pundit was correct.
[00:20:30] Secretary of Defense. Seven Americans contracted COVID-19-like symptoms as early as October 19th. Way before we were told. Literally like five months before we were told that, hey, it was a thing. Right? Months before the official pandemic timeline. According to documents obtained by the Washington Free Beacon,
[00:20:59] the report completed in December 2022 was mandated by Congress to be released, but Joe didn't do it. Joe held back. My question is, are we going to throw Joe in jail for that? No. We're not going to do anything, are we? See, that's the problem. Until you create accountability for some of these clowns, it's not going to go well. It's not going to go well at all. Anyway, there you have it.
[00:21:28] Now, I'm also disappointed in Kash Patel. I'm a little concerned. And I'm going to hold off my criticism. And I'm just going to tell you the story. And we're going to have a wait-and-see approach. Dan Bongino basically came back and said, listen, I know you guys are concerned that we're not taking action. Look, there's a lot behind the scenes that are happening. Give us a little bit more time. Give us a little bit of grace. You'll see there is a method to our madness. I appreciate Dan speaking out and saying that. I hope it's true.
[00:21:58] I really hope it's true. But Kash Patel's surprising appointment of a top J6 inquisitor to head the D.C. FBI office, Steve Baker, Joseph Hanneman, with the story on this thing. Okay.
[00:22:19] News first broke April 4th in the New York Times that Stephen J. Jensen was named the assistant director in charge of the most powerful of the FBI's 56 field offices. Why would Kash Patel put this guy in there? This guy, folks, Stephen J. Jensen is a bad guy. He really is. And I don't know why Kash would put him there.
[00:22:49] I've got to know more of the method of the madness. Right now, a lot of conservatives are really critical of Kash Patel over this. I'm withholding my judgment for a second. I want to know more. But they call him the new assistant director in charge of the Washington field office. He's described as the organizer of the entire J6 roundup. Does that scare the heck out of you, folks?
[00:23:16] The surprise appointment is bringing hardline criticism. Yeah. Donald Trump supporters have cash in the line of fire over this. Jensen literally built the construct, folks. For the January 6th witch hunt, they say. I don't know how to respond to this.
[00:23:43] It's just Jensen built the construct for J6 and going after everybody. He was a key figure in this domestic terror push against January Sixers. That's according to testimony in the House. That's what Tom Fitton said. He said he treated them all as terrorists. Wow.
[00:24:08] And was one of the key instruments in pushing the narrative that these guys are the bad guys that created an insurrection. The FBI's National Press Office obviously declined to comment on Jensen's appointment and referred to the Washington field office, where Jensen's now listed as assistant director in charge. We'll talk about Jensen more in seconds. You're listening to Liberty. Roundtable Live.
[00:24:53] Please. You're listening to Liberty News Radio. News this hour from townhall.com. I'm Rich Thomason. The Wall Street's elation triggered by President Trump's tariff pause has faded somewhat. Following yesterday's stunning rally, this morning stocks are sinking. The president paused for 90 days the steep tariffs imposed on most of America's trading partners, the exception here is Communist China.
[00:25:20] Tariffs on Chinese imports have been boosted to 125 percent because Mr. Trump says Beijing has not acted in good faith. The president's agenda may take another step forward today, thanks to the Republican-led House and Speaker Mike Johnson. I'm happy to tell you that this morning I believe we had the votes to finally adopt the budget resolution so we can move forward on President Trump's very important agenda for the American people.
[00:25:44] The vote was postponed last evening as some Republicans complain that the bill falls short on deficit reduction. Inflation still rose last month compared to one year ago, although at a slower pace, 2.4 percent increase according to the latest Consumer Price Index. Former Arkansas Governor, Baptist Minister, and political commentator Mike Huckabee confirmed by the Senate to serve as a new U.S. ambassador to Israel. Congratulations to Mike Huckabee. President Trump signed Huckabee's commission Wednesday afternoon.
[00:26:13] He's going to be fantastic. He's going to bring home the bacon, even though bacon isn't too big in Israel. Among the challenges facing the new diplomat are the effort to end the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza, the conflict with Hezbollah in Lebanon, and threats posed to Israel by Iran. Jennifer King, Washington. Investigators getting to work trying to pinpoint the cause of the deadly nightclub roof collapse in the Dominican Republic. The death toll has risen to 218.
[00:26:41] As hopes of finding any more survivors begin to fade, although the search for victims goes on amid the debris. Watching Wall Street, the Dow is down 965 points, while the Nasdaq is off 593. More on these stories at townhall.com. More babies will mean forward-looking adults, the sort we need to tackle long-term, large-scale problems. American babies, in particular, are likely going to be wealthier, better educated, and more conservation-minded than children raised in still industrializing countries. As economist Tyler Cowen recently wrote, quote,
[00:28:31] By having more children, you're making your nation more populous, thus boosting its capacity to solve climate change. The planet does not need for us to think globally and act locally so much as it needs us to think family and act personally. The solution to so many of our problems, at all times and in all places, is to fall in love, get married, and have some kids.

[00:30:13] Casting live from atop the Rocky Mountains, the crossroads of the West, you are listening to the Liberty Roundtable radio talk show. So the question is, why did Cash Patel put Stephen A. Johnson or Jensen, sorry, Stephen A. Jensen, assistant director in charge of the most important field office for the FBI? Why? Okay.
[00:30:40] Jensen was associated with some of the worst rights abuses at the FBI. That's according to Mike Howell, president of the Oversight Project. Steve Jensen should not have been put at the FBI, Howell told Blaze News. He, meaning Jensen, was at the helm, was leading some of the worst abuses that took place at the FBI.
[00:31:11] Yeah. In testimony, for example, before a subcommittee on the, quote, weaponization of the federal government, yeah, they say that they really reviewed calls. Regular phone conferences led by Jensen and this other former FBI assistant director. So, you know, this is a conversation that took place almost two years ago.
[00:31:44] Anyway, the F, I'm trying to think how to say this. The Philadelphia office, meaning FBI office in one of these phone calls, said there's no evidence of any kind of insurrectionists. And then basically Steve said in the phone call, I don't give a rip, they're all terrorists. And he dropped death bombs and everything else and said they're all terrorists. We're going after all of them.
[00:32:09] Jensen posted regular FBI calls that began two days after the January 6th protests. He was already ready to prosecute and harass people two days after. This conference call, they say, everybody could dial into it. So this is going into all the different fusion centers, they say, where you have chiefs of police dialing in.
[00:32:37] You have all these people dialed in getting this information from this Jensen clown. This information or disinformation, this narrative of how our, quote, country almost fell is going into the executive mansions of every state in the union and every mayor's offices throughout the country. On a twice daily basis, this was happening at first.
[00:33:05] Jensen literally built the construct for the January 6th witch hunt. Yeah. Anyway, text of an email circulated on X by Blaze News confirmed the appointment of Jensen as head of the Washington field office. Anyway, then this guy says this.
[00:33:35] I'm going to call out anybody who tries to suck up the cash by defending the, quote, Steve Jensen promotion. Former January 6th defendant William Pope wrote, it's absolutely indefensible that he labeled us terrorists. Pope added, Jensen gets the gold mine.
[00:34:00] J Sixers get the shaft and said, you can't drain the swamp by promoting the swamp. Now, I agree with that completely. What I don't know about this is where do we go with this? Okay. Here's what they say.
[00:34:22] They say that Jim Jordan, I guess he's chairman of the powerful House committee on the judiciary was behind the pressure to name Jensen. Jordan denied the assertion through an unnamed spokesperson. So now we've got this deal where cash is in charge. We don't know what happened. Did cash get overrun?
[00:34:52] Did cash allow this to happen? I'm not defending cash. What I am saying, though, is let's wait a little bit as Dan Bongino asks to see what the method of the madness is. You know, Jensen gets the gold mine. J Sixers get the shaft. I think that's right. Former FBI special agent Steve Friend, who I know who's been on this program.
[00:35:18] He was suspended without pay after raising concerns about the level of the, quote, FBI force used to round up even misdemeanor based FBI suspects or J six suspects called the appointment disappointing. I agree 100 percent with Steve Friend. It is disappointing.
[00:35:41] Steven Jensen exposed himself as partisan when he, quote, weaponized the FBI to persecute the American people over January the 6th, Friend told Blaze News. Former January 6th defendant Jennifer Heinle protested Jensen's promotion and said, hey, the FBI completely destroyed my life, and now they're giving this guy promotions?
[00:36:12] I'm one of the, quote, so-called terrorists he didn't give a dang about, she says. She wrote on X. Fitton said that he's troubled. That's Tom Fitton over at Judicial Watch says he's troubled at the lack of discussion so far about reforming the FBI and the Department of Justice. And that's where we get this Dan Bongino thing.
[00:36:37] As for continuous forbearance, I realize asking you to trust me is a waste of time, but watch and see what we do. I appreciate that. I really do. And I'll give Dan Bongino and Cash Patel a little bit of, I'm not defending them. So I'm not one of these clowns that just run around and, you know, protect and defend.
[00:37:05] I'm just willing to give a little bit of time to see what's really going on here. And you might say, well, Sam, there's no logic that could make any sense for that. Why are you willing to give them any forbearance or patience or understanding at all? I don't know. I'm just really praying and hoping that Cash and Dan get this done. And I don't know if moving the Steven Jensen guy, when he exposed himself as partisan,
[00:37:34] when he weaponized the FBI to persecute Americans over January the 6th, maybe bringing him into this fold creates a greater accountability for him. In other words, if he's in office, it's easier to go after him than if he's out of office. Or maybe, you know, I don't know what the reasoning is. Maybe they'll bring him in and they'll make him talk and other people go down as a result. I mean, I don't know.
[00:38:02] And I know many would say, Sam, you're crazy. That's wishful thinking. You're probably right. I don't deny that one bit. You're probably right. But I want to give a little bit of room to see. For example, Tom Fitton said he's troubled at the lack of discussion so far about reforming the FBI and the Department of Justice. I agree with Tom Fitton entirely. At the same time, I will say this.
[00:38:31] You know, is a little time necessary? I mean, Cash had to run the FBI and the BATF there. Could that have slowed things down some? What accountability will this Jensen guy have, whether he's in office or not? Right? Anyway, I think we need to give Steve Friend pay his payback. And I think we need to clear his record.
[00:38:59] I'm waiting for Donald Trump to get that done for our good friend Steve Friend. Anyway, meanwhile, ESPN. Stephen A. Smith is thinking about running for president, says USA Today.com. What do you think? Do you want an ESPN clown, controversial commentator running for president? Stephen A. Smith says everybody's been asking me to do it. Everybody's begging me to jump into the ring.
[00:39:29] Everybody's going to. So what are you going to have? You're going to have Donald Trump running a third term? You're going to have Stephen A. Smith going against the Donald? Donald? Would he be a Republican, a Democrat? What would Stephen A. Smith even be? Is he going to upset Kamala Harris? Is he going to run against the Donald? You know, what does this look like? I don't think it's serious at all. I think Stephen A. Smith wouldn't last a second. He'd have his foot in his mouth before you even know what's going on. It'd be crazy.
[00:39:57] Anyway, I don't really know how to respond to some of this because it's so, you know, some are saying J.D. Vance will be the president. Others are saying, no, it'll be Donald Trump. Others are saying, no, it'll be Donald Trump Jr. What is it? Donald Trump Jr. running against Kamala Harris? Is that what we're going to see? Or Donald Trump Jr. running against Stephen A. Smith? I don't even know. But see, here's my question.
[00:40:24] Why are we even looking forward to and discussing who the candidates will be in 28? As far as I can tell, that's far off, people. And we've got a lot of work to do between now and then. So far, I've seen Trump do a lot of good. Not enough, but a lot of good. So far, I've seen Congress and the courts literally doing everything they can to sabotage the effort.

All right, there's so many things you hear that Donald Trump does that's incredible, that's awesome, that really makes a difference, that matters, that's important. I agree 100%, but you know what?
[00:43:12] Most of them, down the road after the mainstream press tells you the tale, turns out to be different than you expect. Let me give you an example. Headline says, The Air Force walked back a Trump administration ban on, quote, pronouns in its official communications after realizing it ran afoul of a, quote,
[00:43:36] Biden-era defense policy, a bill that bars the Pentagon from establishing any, quote, pronoun policies. I guess in a memo dated last Wednesday, Gwendolyn, I don't know how to say this, DeFilippi? That's the Air Force's acting assistant secretary for manpower and reserve affairs,
[00:44:05] said the ban on, quote, preferred pronouns was, quote, rescinded. So, Trump had a big old news piece about this ban. Hey, man, we're not going to tolerate them just when they're weird pronouns and all this kind of stuff. But then I guess the ban got banned. I know.
[00:44:32] So, you got a Biden-era defense bill, okay, that literally said, hey, you can't mess with the pronouns. You can't do anything. So, what gives with this? It ran afoul of Biden-era defense policy bill that bars the Pentagon from establishing any pronoun policies. So, here's the deal.
[00:45:00] Congress and Joe put the fix in. And now Donald tries to say, hey, let's have some accountability here. Let's try to change this. And now Trump got shut down. So, here's my point. Congress got us into this mess. Trump tried to get us out of this mess. And now Trump's held hostile. I'm sorry, held hostage by Biden and former congressional.
[00:45:29] I don't know what you want to say. Groups? Officials? Okay. Now, where's Congress? Where's Congress? When the Air Force is forced to walk this back, why didn't Congress quickly get wind of it? Pop a single piece of legislation in place that said, no, Donald Trump can do this. We're changing the law. We're changing the way this works. This was clown show Biden stuff. We're not doing it. Congress is just derelict in their duty.
[00:45:55] Mike Johnson getting on the news going, I think we have the votes to pass a big, beautiful bill by Donald. This is awesome. He's flat out just out in the weeds. So, the Air Force was forced to walk back a Trump administration agenda that said, hey, let's stop this stuff. So, see what I mean? You hear over and over in the news how awesome this is going to be. Trump's taking action.
[00:46:19] But nine times out of ten, he gets shut down by a clown judge or shut down by some law that, you know, Biden can't even tie his shoes, folks. But yet he somehow tied up funding and laws and rules and guidelines that absolutely is hobbling Donald Trump. Donald Trump's trying to be president with his arms tied behind his back. His leg shackled him. The guy can't get anything done. And I'm not down and Donald for that.
[00:46:49] I'm saying Congress and the courts are flat out enemies number one to the president of the United States. And the problem is the president overreaches then, tries to do some good things. But even though he's trying to do some good things, it's not right or appropriate. Anyway, there you have it.
[00:47:06] Next headline, top spy Tulsi Gabbard launches task force to restore transparency to the U.S. intel community. USA Today with this interesting piece. DNI director Tulsi Gabbard said the task force could declassify documents from the, quote, Trump Russia probe.
[00:47:37] COVID-19 documents. As well as the Biden era domestic surveillance agenda. Well, let's not say you could. Let's get it done, Tulsi. I just, I don't know how to respond to it even. I 100% agree with Tulsi starting to release a lot of this stuff. But again, is it just like a Pam Bondi thing?
[00:48:02] Hey, man, I'm going to absolutely release all the information that you need regarding what was Pam Bondi supposed to release? You know, JFK file details. Now we get that the CIA was partially responsible for the death of the president of the United States. Who's going to prison for that? Nobody. All right. What about the, you know, okay, there's JFK. What other things are we supposed to get? Oh, the Jeffrey Epstein files. We're going to get a whole deal on that from Pam. Did we get anything?
[00:48:32] No. See, these guys always come out of the gate and say, man, we're going to give you transparency. We're going to do accountability. We're going to declassify. We're going to, we're going to. And then it turns out to be a big old nothing burger every time. And even if you say the pay dirt's there, the facts are there. Yeah, but nobody goes to jail. Right? I support transparency. But do we need to launch another task force for transparency? Got to have a big old another government agency or a whole nother government whatever.
[00:49:04] And they could declassify documents from the Russia probe, the Donald Trump. Okay, they could. But are they going to? See, they have these statements that make you feel like we're on the verge of just busting out and getting her done. But I don't think we're even close. I don't think we're even close. Let me give you an example. I don't even know how to respond to this. This is a Ron Paul story.
[00:49:33] And I commend Ron Paul for this story. But here it is. Ron Paul's campaign for liberty. They're still spying on you. Yeah, they're still spying on you.
[00:49:46] When the East German Stasi spied on the people in the 1980s, I guess the 1980s, they would bug their phones and have agents in the attic listening to their every word. Now, you think that sounds crazy, right? That's nothing compared to how the government spies on us today.
[00:50:16] Where every electronic device is bugged and the AI algorithms can make use of the massive quantity of data beyond our wildest imaginations. In other words, they can filter down and focus on whatever they want to and you can't stop them.
[00:50:38] One way or another, the government tries to get access to every phone call, every text message, every email, every Internet browsing session of you and other innocent Americans. This is happening on Trump's watch, I might add. Right? And the government isn't just harvesting this information for no purpose, ladies and gentlemen.
[00:51:06] In 2021 alone, the FBI made more than 3 million queries to the database gathering this information under 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. In other words, 702 of FISA. All of this is completely unconstitutional and grossly immoral, ladies and gentlemen.
[00:51:34] The government spies on us all the time. Right? All the time. The government spies on all of us, all day, every day. You and your family have no privacy from the government. And this is under Donald's watch, right? But last year, ladies and gentlemen, this is where Ron Paul points to hope.
[00:51:57] Last year, you and I came within one vote within the U.S. House of getting serious reforms in place. Stopping the government's warrantless surveillance program. It was only because Speaker Mike Johnson flip-flopped on his prior opposition and sold us out that we couldn't get it done. But now you and I have an opportunity, says Rand Paul, to reign in the mass surveillance system once and for all.
[00:52:28] So he said this a couple of days ago. The House Judiciary Committee held their first hearing of the year on continuing to promote the government's surveillance system on the American people. This is effectively the kickoff debate on FISA, the 702 discussion. The same surveillance that was weaponized against President Trump himself is still going on today.
[00:52:55] See, this is what they used against Trump and why Trump would allow this to be continuing on his watch is what I don't understand. It's still going on to this day, folks. But no administration, ladies and gentlemen, should have the ability to create warrantless surveillance on any Americans, period. And in the paragraph, nobody should have that authority or power.
[00:53:21] With Mike Johnson still running the House, this will be a tough fight, but it's one that we can win, says Ron Paul. I pray he's right. First, despite several Trump officials being, quote, drilled about the issue or grilled about the issue in their confirmation hearings, there is evidence that some of them, including the director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, want the warrant requirement passed into law.
[00:53:53] Remember, it was the office that she now heads. The FBI literally has used 702 unconstitutional surveillance more than 3 million times in 24 alone. It's got to stop. Where's Trump? Where's Tulsi? Sam, we need to gear up for a full scale battle. Where's Cash Patel? Where's all the people that will help us stop the surveillance state?
[00:54:19] I don't know, but we must pull out all the stops, says Ron Paul, and he's spot on right. Thanks for being alongside for the ride. Hard-hitting news the network should be used to use.
