[00:00:13] Broadcasting live from atop the Rocky Mountains, the crossroads of the West.

[00:00:18] You are listening to the Liberty Roundtable Radio Talk Show.

[00:00:24] All right.

[00:00:25] Happy to have you along, my fellow Americans.

[00:00:28] Sam Bushman live on your radio.

[00:00:30] Hard-hitting news the networks refuse to use, no doubt starts now.

[00:00:33] This, my fellow Americans, is the broadcast for November the 12th in the year of our Lord, 2024.

[00:00:39] This is Hour 1 of 2, and the goal always to protect life, liberty, and property, to promote God, family, and country,

[00:00:46] to use the Constitution for the United States of America, the supreme law of the land, as our guide,

[00:00:50] to reject revolution, unless it's a Jesus revolution, then we're in, because we follow the Prince of Peace,

[00:00:56] to use the checks and balances brilliantly put in place by the Founding Fathers.

[00:01:00] That's who we are and what we do on your radio.

[00:01:02] Welcome to the broadcast.

[00:01:03] With me today, the good Sheriff Richard Mack, founder and president of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association.

[00:01:10] He seeks partnerships between sheriffs and we, the American people,

[00:01:14] to restore the republic and the traditions of our Founding Fathers,

[00:01:17] to protect the citizens from all enemies, foreign and domestic, and sadly, sometimes that even includes government.

[00:01:24] CSPOA.org.

[00:01:25] Become a member of the National Posse today.

[00:01:28] Sheriff Mack, welcome, sir.

[00:01:30] Thank you very much, Sam.

[00:01:31] It's great to be with you this beautiful Arizona Tuesday morning.

[00:01:36] It's finally cooling off there, so it is beautiful, isn't it?

[00:01:39] Yeah, it really is.

[00:01:40] Yep.

[00:01:41] Amen to that.

[00:01:42] All right, we've got an incredible guest today.

[00:01:44] You want to do the honors, sir?

[00:01:46] I do.

[00:01:47] Thank you, Sam.

[00:01:48] We have the sheriff-elect from Maricopa County.

[00:01:56] That would be my good friend.

[00:02:00] And former undersheriff and former detective, lieutenant, captain, and just about everything you could possibly do in a sheriff's office, starting as a patrol officer.

[00:02:14] Jerry Sheridan.

[00:02:16] He has been proclaimed the new sheriff of Maricopa County.

[00:02:21] He has won and won big.

[00:02:23] I actually thought it would be a bigger percentage, but he's got over a million votes.

[00:02:27] There's only about 3% to count now.

[00:02:30] Finally, Maricopa County has brought the election to a close.

[00:02:36] And my dear friend, Jerry Sheridan, Sheriff Sheridan, welcome to the Liberty Roundtable and welcome and congratulations for your amazing victory.

[00:02:51] Thanks, Sheriff and Sam, for having me on.

[00:02:56] Yeah, just yesterday we got over a million votes, and there's still another 43,000 or so ballots left to be counted here in Maricopa County.

[00:03:05] So I couldn't be more happy with the mandate that I got from the citizens of Maricopa County.

[00:03:15] They say there's a new sheriff in town, and boy, howdy, is that true?

[00:03:19] And what is it, the third or fourth largest county in the country?

[00:03:22] It's the fourth largest county.

[00:03:25] It's 9,224 square miles with a population of about 4.5 million people, and half of those are registered to vote.

[00:03:35] Man, oh, man.

[00:03:37] That is crazy.

[00:03:38] Now, you were the chief deputy of the sheriff's office before, right?

[00:03:42] What did you think was the difference between you and the guy you ran against was Kemp?

[00:03:49] What was the big difference?

[00:03:51] Well, the big difference is I talked about being a constitutional sheriff, and he, of course, was a Democrat.

[00:04:01] And I don't think they really understand what the Constitution means, especially for an elected sheriff.

[00:04:08] And so I think the public realized that.

[00:04:11] There's a big difference in how we were going to administer our jobs and keeping the people safe, protecting people's civil rights.

[00:04:20] He didn't talk about any of that stuff.

[00:04:23] All right.

[00:04:24] Now, you were the chief deputy of the sheriff's office for Joe Arpaio, right?

[00:04:30] I was.

[00:04:31] I was, yes.

[00:04:32] Tell me how that worked out, because he's a great guy, but I don't really consider Joe a constitutional sheriff.

[00:04:38] Well, he really wasn't.

[00:04:41] And I'll give you a good example.

[00:04:43] He would have all the federal agencies come in, the FBI, DEA, ATF, school administration, the federal school folks.

[00:04:56] And he would swear them in as deputy sheriffs.

[00:05:00] And I'm certainly not going to do that.

[00:05:03] Amen to that.

[00:05:05] Wow.

[00:05:05] Wow.

[00:05:07] So how's it going to be different when they come into your county?

[00:05:09] What's the message?

[00:05:10] Hey, you know what?

[00:05:11] Put me on notice.

[00:05:11] Let me know what you're doing.

[00:05:12] If your paperwork's in order, we can partner.

[00:05:14] And if you don't have your paperwork in order, scram.

[00:05:16] That's correct.

[00:05:18] That's the way it should work, the sheriff.

[00:05:21] And I think Sheriff Mack has something to do with this.

[00:05:24] The United States Supreme Court said that the sheriff is the chief law enforcement officer of the county.

[00:05:32] And that means something.

[00:05:34] Sheriff Mack?

[00:05:35] Well, it does, obviously, Sam.

[00:05:38] And the history of America is very clear that the sheriff has always been the conservator of the peace for every county.

[00:05:48] He is the ultimate protector of the people.

[00:05:51] And so it's just putting together the history and also the Supreme Court case that Jerry just mentioned that calls us the chief law enforcement officer.

[00:06:01] And so it's never even conceivable that a bureaucrat from Washington, D.C., would be the person with the most authority in the county.

[00:06:16] They can come in and do whatever they want, hit and run, leave, mess up everything, as the FBI did with January 6th arrests.

[00:06:27] And they never once implemented the law called extradition when they went out and arrested everybody across the country.

[00:06:36] And some of the people that were arrested were simply standing outside the U.S. Capitol and did nothing.

[00:06:44] But the FBI and corrupt judges went after them anyway.

[00:06:48] And then all these people have to prove their innocence instead of the other way around.

[00:06:55] And some of the people in there in prison have been there for over two years without trials.

[00:07:03] And so you just have to wonder where the federal government's at.

[00:07:06] And I don't believe any sheriff in this country should just say, yeah, you're welcome to come into my county and I'll deputize you and you can do anything you want.

[00:07:15] And nobody's nobody's going to get in your way and you'll have unfettered access to everyone in the county.

[00:07:22] I just don't believe that the federal bureaucracies, especially FBI and IRS and DEA and BATF, have become worthy of that kind of trust.

[00:07:34] Well, and that's why there's checks and balances and jurisdiction and everything else in America, because we didn't want anybody to get too much power.

[00:07:40] So we delegated authority to different groups to stop one another from abuses when they arise.

[00:07:45] Now, by the way, this isn't the beat up Joe Arpaio hour.

[00:07:47] Now, if it's Joe Biden, different discussion.

[00:07:49] But it's not beat up Joe Arpaio hour, even though he wasn't constitutional in those regards.

[00:07:54] And I wanted to highlight that because it shows the difference of what Jerry Sheridan will do as he takes office.

[00:08:01] One of the things that Joe Arpaio did right and I commend him for was his incredible sheriff's posse.

[00:08:07] You plan to reinstate that, right, sir?

[00:08:10] I do.

[00:08:11] When I left, we had about sixteen hundred posse members.

[00:08:15] And currently there there's less than 50 because the new sheriff, when he took over in twenty seventeen,

[00:08:22] he was funded by George Soros, by the way, two point three million dollars.

[00:08:27] And that's his own, right?

[00:08:29] Yes.

[00:08:30] And he did away with he did away with the posse.

[00:08:34] He did away with a lot of the things that we had established.

[00:08:38] Ten City, all these systems that were working great.

[00:08:41] And so when we left, we handed over the best run jail system.

[00:08:47] And that's according to the NCHC, they accredit jails.

[00:08:52] And right now it's the worst run jail system.

[00:08:56] It's what exactly what Democrats do when they take over well oiled machines.

[00:09:01] They ruin them and drive them into the ground.

[00:09:03] And there's about thirteen to fourteen hundred employees short.

[00:09:09] And so the sheriff right now, it's difficult to do their job.

[00:09:14] The deputies are out there by themselves and calls don't get answered.

[00:09:19] Nine one one calls get put on hold.

[00:09:22] I mean, I've got a disaster I'm running into.

[00:09:25] But I tell you, I am so excited about getting there and taking office on January 1st.

[00:09:32] Now, when you reinstate the posse to its full strength, though, it's going to save taxpayers money.

[00:09:37] It's going to basically take a lot of weight off of the deputies and things like that so they could do their jobs.

[00:09:43] I mean, this this posse up and down the line.

[00:09:45] Joe had a well-oiled posse that did a great job and saved the taxpayers plenty of money, right?

[00:09:51] Millions and millions every year.

[00:09:53] They're all volunteers.

[00:09:55] They buy their own uniforms, their own gun.

[00:09:57] The only thing that the sheriff's office gives them is the bullets to put in their guns.

[00:10:05] Wow.

[00:10:05] Now, all of it's not armed support either, though.

[00:10:09] A lot of it's in in other aspects of running a sheriff's office, right?

[00:10:14] Right.

[00:10:14] Yeah.

[00:10:15] In the posse, you can get as involved as you want and go on to get the training, the same training that a deputy sheriff gets and the use of force and firearms training and all that.

[00:10:25] Or you could just go and help in the office and do some clerical things, filing paperwork, answering phone calls, that kind of thing.

[00:10:35] And so it's really up to the individual posse member how involved they want to get or not.

[00:10:41] All right.

[00:10:42] We also want to focus on you guys are going to be ending drug smuggling.

[00:10:46] It'll be one of the top priorities for you guys.

[00:10:48] That was pretty handled under Joe Arpaio now, but kind of went south as well, didn't it?

[00:10:54] Again, you know, we had detectives out in the desert on top of the mountains with spotting scopes, tracking equipment, and deputies in the field to chase down the drug smugglers, the cartels.

[00:11:07] Most of the fentanyl that comes in the United States comes in through Arizona, and most of that comes in through what's called the Viggo Valley.

[00:11:15] And it's a straight shot to the Mexican border, about 55 miles to Maricopa County.

[00:11:21] And it goes right there to I-8 east on I-8 to New York and places and west to California.

[00:11:32] And it is a big deal, and nobody's been out there.

[00:11:37] Since we left in the first week of 2017, Penzone decided to disband that unit, and nobody has been out there dealing with those drug cartels.

[00:11:48] And this is one of my major priorities, is to get that drug interdiction unit that was part of a HIDA team that we ran back out in the desert to stop these drugs coming in.

[00:12:02] Sheriff Mack, what do you think about Holman in charge of the border and Jerry Sheridan in charge of the choke point?

[00:12:09] Well, that's already a huge step for the Trump administration.

[00:12:16] I mean, Trump's already having a huge impact, and he's not even close to taking office.

[00:12:21] But the question I had, Jerry, there is, have you heard from the Trump people?

[00:12:26] Has anybody contacted you, congratulated you, said we look forward to working with you, or has that not happened yet?

[00:12:33] No, that hasn't happened yet.

[00:12:36] And by the way, Tom Holman endorsed my campaign.

[00:12:41] Tom actually came out on his own dime.

[00:12:43] I offered to pay for him.

[00:12:46] We did a town hall on the drug issues.

[00:12:52] Yeah, I remember that was during our event in Las Vegas, and we were hoping that both of you would be there.

[00:12:57] But I really wanted to leave our event in Vegas and come over to this Tom Holman event that you had.

[00:13:04] Yeah, so I know you and Tom are pretty good friends.

[00:13:07] Yes, yeah.

[00:13:08] Well, we get along really well.

[00:13:11] We have the similar opinions on what an open border does to public safety.

[00:13:18] Not even mentioning the illegal immigration issues, but all these terrorists that are coming across the border, the free reign of drugs that are coming in to the United States through Arizona.

[00:13:31] So I'm a sheriff here in Maricopa County.

[00:13:34] We're not a border county, but we certainly can make a difference.

[00:13:41] Pretty darn close.

[00:13:42] Yeah, I call it a choke point, though.

[00:13:44] Even though you're not a border county because of the thoroughfares that you mentioned there, it's really a choke point, though.

[00:13:49] And if we can stop fentanyl from coming in and stop the drug smuggling and protect the children in our society using that thoroughfare, that's key.

[00:13:56] And you sit at a sweet spot for that, sir.

[00:13:59] We do.

[00:14:00] We do.

[00:14:00] And it was so effective when we put those deputies out in the desert within six months.

[00:14:06] They were the number one Haida team that means high-intensity drug trafficking area in the country.

[00:14:12] And they maintained that for the six years that we had them out there.

[00:14:19] Well, one of the other big problems that the jail seems to be combating, or maybe underpen zone, they weren't doing that very well.

[00:14:29] And that is the deaths that have been caused by prisoners within the jail system.

[00:14:35] And suicide, and I guess, I don't know, how else do they die besides suicide?

[00:14:42] How are they dying in there?

[00:14:43] Do they get sick and just die and nobody notices?

[00:14:46] What is with that, and how many has it been, and what are we going to do about it?

[00:14:51] Okay, that's a loaded question, Sheriff.

[00:14:56] We've averaged, since we left, 49 deaths a year in custody.

[00:15:02] That is absolutely unheard of.

[00:15:04] Even the New York Times called out the Democrat Sheriff, believe it or not, for that number.

[00:15:10] And that overall, probably 350 people died in Sheriff's custody since he took over in 2017.

[00:15:19] And most of the deaths are attributed to suicides, which they've done nothing to prevent.

[00:15:24] And I have a program to do that that I did when I ran those jails.

[00:15:29] They're the fourth largest jail system in the county jail in the country.

[00:15:32] And the other reason is fentanyl overdoses.

[00:15:36] As a matter of fact, they had two die last week from fentanyl overdoses.

[00:15:40] And it continues to happen because there's a lot of reasons, but there's a lack of detention officers, about 1,000 short of 2,200 TO for detention officers.

[00:15:54] They can't search everybody.

[00:15:56] Closing down Tent City had an impact on that because now you're mixing the outside trustees with the people that are in a hard facility.

[00:16:05] And they intimidate the outside trustees to bring the drugs in, lack of staff to be able to make the searches.

[00:16:14] The SRT that I established, the special response teams, are pretty much gone.

[00:16:22] And we used to have them every day do a shakedown in all the different housing units for contraband.

[00:16:28] And one of the biggest things, too, is something that we started when I took over the jails was the jail intelligence unit.

[00:16:36] And what they do is, just like any other intelligence unit, they would go in and talk to the inmates, find out what's going on,

[00:16:45] and find out things that are happening before they happen and prevent them and preventing the drugs coming in the jails.

[00:16:52] And there are hardly any people doing that right now.

[00:16:57] And so we need to focus on getting staff in these, what I would consider nonessential functions, back into the main duties of keeping those jails.

[00:17:09] We need to reach out to Kim Kardashian to see if she can fund some of that jail reform stuff, ladies and gentlemen.

[00:17:15] Are we going to bring back Tent City jails for the non-aggressive or non-violent kind of thing?

[00:17:21] And are we going to bring back bologna sandwiches and pink underwear and pedal your bike TV and stuff?

[00:17:26] Well, well, well, no.

[00:17:28] The pink underwear, that was Sheriff Joe's thing.

[00:17:32] The bicycles, that was Sheriff Joe's thing.

[00:17:36] And that never actually came to fruition.

[00:17:39] That was just an idea, a crazy idea he had.

[00:17:42] But the other issues, absolutely, we're going to bring back the training, the officers on suicide prevention like we did.

[00:17:49] We had the lowest suicide rate in the major jail system in the country, one of the lowest death rates in any jail in the country when I was running it.

[00:18:01] And so I know how to do this.

[00:18:03] I know how to get it done.

[00:18:04] And I think that's one of the reasons the public voted me in to be their new sheriff in town.

[00:18:13] Well, Sheriff Sheridan, I wanted you to know I volunteer to help with that.

[00:18:18] You got it, Sheriff.

[00:18:20] You know what?

[00:18:21] I know I don't know everything.

[00:18:24] One of my favorite comments is I know what I don't know.

[00:18:28] And so I will be calling on you to give me a hand with some of these issues.

[00:18:34] And, you know, one of the things that I want to do across the board is train all the employees on what it means to be a constitutional sheriff, constitutional deputy sheriff, constitutional detention officer, and a constitutional civilian employee.

[00:18:52] Because what that means to me is we are here to protect everyone, all 4.5 million people in Maricopa County civil rights to do the right thing.

[00:19:06] When a deputy is out there and he's confronted with an issue to make sure, first and foremost, he's thinking about protecting everyone's constitutional rights, including the bad guys.

[00:19:17] Now, Sheriff Sheridan, you're talking about 3,000 employees or so, right?

[00:19:21] Well, we're supposed to have over 4,000 employees, and right now they've got about 2,700, 2,600.

[00:19:28] I'm going to go meet tomorrow morning with the current sheriff.

[00:19:33] And one of the first things I asked him is I need a roster of where everybody is and what they're doing and, you know, that kind of thing.

[00:19:45] So I'm going to be ready on January 1st.

[00:19:48] Well, I'm already ready to go there.

[00:19:50] I spent 40 years there.

[00:19:52] And so, you know, it's not like I need a complete refresher, but I could use some updated data since I've been gone for eight years.

[00:20:02] There's a new sheriff in town, Sheriff Mack, and looks like CSPOA training is going to be part of the plan, huh?

[00:20:09] Well, I certainly hope so, and we're available for that.

[00:20:12] We'll help any way we can.

[00:20:14] And we really look forward to working with this new administration and a very dedicated individual, the consummate lawman and the consummate protector.

[00:20:26] He knows what it is to be the ultimate protector of the people, and I can't wait to see this come to fruition.

[00:20:33] Now, you bring up another thing, Sheriff Sheridan, that I really want to focus on before the end of the hour.

[00:20:37] I know you're going to be rebuilding the office of sheriff, which is wonderful, doing it as a constitutional sheriff, which is just so exciting.

[00:20:44] But you're also going to be addressing mental illness.

[00:20:46] And I wanted to bring this up because I think it's something that, you know, when you hear the liberals talk about it, you go, oh, my gosh, Kamala Cackle.

[00:20:52] Forget it.

[00:20:53] You're crazy.

[00:20:53] There is something to this, and it relates to the suicides that you mentioned and everything else, not only for civilians but for law enforcement too, right?

[00:21:02] Yes, absolutely.

[00:21:03] There's two things that you just mentioned.

[00:21:06] And the Maricopa County Sheriff's Jail has the largest mental health hospital, so to speak, in the state.

[00:21:13] And that's pretty sad.

[00:21:15] It's not a place to treat people that have severe mental illness, but we have a lot of those people in our custody.

[00:21:21] But it's also, you're right, the mental health of our employees is another top issue of mine.

[00:21:30] And I've got some ways to deal with that, retraining every few years to why you became a deputy sheriff, a detention officer, why you joined the sheriff's office,

[00:21:41] to kind of reset that thought from the people that get hired as deputy sheriffs and sheriff's office total.

[00:21:54] It helps the community to keep people safe.

[00:21:58] And sometimes because of the job is so difficult, we lose sight of that.

[00:22:03] And so I want to do that.

[00:22:05] And the other thing is I'm going to put refresh rooms in all the facilities and the substations.

[00:22:10] And those are rooms that you can go after shift.

[00:22:15] And we've got a device to put on your vagal nerve.

[00:22:18] I've done a lot of research on this, too.

[00:22:20] And it really helps.

[00:22:22] It really helps with fire departments.

[00:22:24] And some law enforcement agencies here in Maricopa County are already using it.

[00:22:29] Well, I really think.

[00:22:31] Go ahead, Sheriff.

[00:22:32] I've got to make one suggestion.

[00:22:34] I've thought this ever since I've known you, even before that, since I first knew Joe Arpaio.

[00:22:40] I think you need new uniforms.

[00:22:42] It's an old-looking uniform.

[00:22:43] It's not a very nice-looking uniform.

[00:22:45] It's just plain.

[00:22:46] I want to see the officers shine up in a new uniform.

[00:22:51] Sheriff, there is no way that I'm going to go in there and change that uniform.

[00:22:57] And I'll tell you why.

[00:23:01] When I was a deputy out in Queen Creek in the winter, we had these 100% polyester jeans,

[00:23:08] and they were miserable, cold.

[00:23:10] And in the summer, they would pull the hairs off your legs.

[00:23:14] And so I always said to myself, when I get in a position of power, if I ever do, I'm going

[00:23:21] to change these damn pants.

[00:23:23] And so when I became the chief over the patrol bureau, we did a study.

[00:23:27] I put officers out, deputies out, and new pants, five different pairs.

[00:23:32] And we changed the pants to something that was really nice.

[00:23:37] And you thought that I had committed murder with the deputies and the detention officers.

[00:23:45] So I don't know if I'm going to deal with that.

[00:23:48] But I do agree.

[00:23:49] And here's the problem.

[00:23:50] Here's the problem.

[00:23:51] Hold on.

[00:23:52] Sheriff Sheridan, do you have a little bit of extra time to stay with us?

[00:23:55] You know, a little bit after.

[00:23:57] Maybe we can finish this conversation, and then I can go, okay?

[00:24:00] All right.

[00:24:01] I'm sorry I got a hard break.

[00:24:02] I cannot stop.

[00:24:04] Let's do that.

[00:24:04] We'll come back, let you finish.

[00:24:06] We'll let you fly.

[00:24:06] We're so appreciative you've got time for us in the first place.

[00:24:09] You got a new sheriff in town, ladies and gentlemen.

[00:24:12] You want to learn what he's going to be doing while he's in office?

[00:24:59] Following is not an actor, but a real-life story from Trinity Debt Management.

[00:25:04] My debt problem started probably about 2016.

[00:25:07] I needed my life to change financially.

[00:25:11] I called Trinity, and I ended up joining based on high credit card bills and high interest rate.

[00:25:18] And my counselor at Trinity has been great, and Trinity has been helping me to get on the right path of paying off these credit card bills, bringing down the interest rate.

[00:25:29] They have consolidated my bills into one low monthly payment.

[00:25:34] And now I am finally getting out of credit card debt.

[00:25:39] So I just want to say thank you, Trinity, for showing me a better and greater path.

[00:25:44] If you're in debt and you need help, call Trinity at 1-800-990-6976.

[00:25:50] My name is Sharon, and soon I will be debt-free for keeps.

[00:26:00] Israel is opening a new aid crossing into Gaza just as a U.S. deadline demanding improved humanitarian conditions set to expire.

[00:26:08] Israel has been under increasing pressure to improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza.

[00:26:13] The U.S. said around 350 trucks of aid a day were needed.

[00:26:18] The letter said that if that target wasn't met, weapon supplies could be held back.

[00:26:22] Over the last month, the average has been around 40 trucks a day.

[00:26:26] The United Nations has said the situation in the north of the Strip is apocalyptic, with a real risk of famine.

[00:26:32] Israel has always denied that, and will hope that opening another crossing will ease some pressure.

[00:26:38] And that's a BBC's Joe Inwood.

[00:26:40] Officials say worsening air pollution in the past month has sickened an estimated 1.8 million people in Pakistan's eastern Punjab province,

[00:26:49] increasing smog forcing authorities to shut down schools across the province for five days to protect children's health.

[00:27:06] The Biden administration is requiring oil and natural gas companies to pay a federal fee if they emit dangerous methane above certain levels.

[00:27:14] Excess methane produced in 2024 would result in a fee of $900 per ton.

[00:27:20] The fee would rise to $1,200 in 2025 and $1,500 per ton by 2026.

[00:27:27] But the fee may be short-lived.

[00:30:18] You are listening to the Liberty Roundtable Radio Talk Show.

[00:30:34] Welcome back, everybody.

[00:30:35] This is the Liberty Roundtable, and this is Sheriff Mack talking with Sheriff Sheridan.

[00:30:41] And I'm telling you, Sheriff Sheridan, that was a hell of a campaign.

[00:30:48] Well, you had a good organization.

[00:30:52] You had a good campaign manager.

[00:30:54] You had good support from family and friends.

[00:30:59] I've never been so busy on a campaign since my own back in the 90s.

[00:31:05] I really, really wanted you to win.

[00:31:08] It's one of the huge victories for Arizona.

[00:31:13] Me, personally, I think it was one of the most important races in the entire country.

[00:31:18] And I congratulate you, sir, for running such a great campaign.

[00:31:25] You were extremely busy and dedicated to your campaign.

[00:31:29] And you ran a solid campaign.

[00:31:34] And I believe that the people of Maricopa are going to be the beneficiaries of this.

[00:31:40] And I really look forward to working with you and helping you in any way I can.

[00:31:45] But again, Jerry, congratulations to you and Chad and Stacey and the whole shooting match.

[00:31:52] It was very well done.

[00:31:54] I saw it firsthand, and I congratulate you.

[00:31:59] Well, thank you, Sheriff.

[00:32:00] You know, I have to give most of that credit to my wife, Stacey.

[00:32:05] We've been together 36 years.

[00:32:07] We're best friends.

[00:32:08] She was 100% behind me.

[00:32:12] She went to all the events with me.

[00:32:15] And we worked on this campaign eight to 15 hours a day, seven days a week for two years to get it done.

[00:32:24] And I also need to mention the thousands of grassroots volunteers that helped knock on doors for me, get my literature out, put golden tickets together.

[00:32:36] And it was really a group effort by thousands of citizens that gave up their time to get us across the finish line.

[00:32:47] And I greatly appreciate all the effort and things that you did to help me win this campaign.

[00:32:54] And I'm very excited to get back to work, to rejoin the sheriff's office once again to protect people's civil liberties and to protect them and keep them safe.

[00:33:11] And that's what the sheriff is supposed to do.

[00:33:13] And that's what I will focus on.

[00:33:16] All right.

[00:33:16] We know you've got a fly, Sheriff Sheridan.

[00:33:18] You've got a final parting.

[00:33:19] What do you want to tell the rest of the 3,000 sheriffs in the country, sir?

[00:33:23] I think let's get on board.

[00:33:26] Being a constitutional sheriff doesn't mean that we're terrorists like the Southern Poverty Law Center says and all this crazy left wing diatribe.

[00:33:37] What it means to every sheriff in this country is that we are there to protect our citizens from government, from our own government if we have to.

[00:33:51] And to make sure that the Constitution is being followed.

[00:33:57] And don't forget, we all take an oath to protect the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution and laws of your state.

[00:34:07] And we need to be true to that oath.

[00:34:10] And if we're not, we don't deserve to be their sheriff.

[00:34:15] I love it, sir.

[00:34:17] God bless you in all that you do.

[00:34:18] We'll have you back.

[00:34:19] Thank you.

[00:34:20] Please do.

[00:34:20] And, Sheriff Mack, thanks again for having me on, Sam.

[00:34:25] I greatly appreciate the time.

[00:34:27] And any time you need me, I'll be here for you.

[00:34:30] Thank you, sir.

[00:34:31] All right.

[00:34:31] Thank you.

[00:34:32] Sheriff Mack, we just got to have that all over the country.

[00:34:35] All 3,000 sheriffs need to basically follow that.

[00:34:38] What was it?

[00:34:38] About a little over a minute maybe or about a minute that he basically highlighted what sheriffs ought to be doing.

[00:34:43] I don't know that it could be more succinct than that.

[00:34:46] I would have added one word, and that is that the sheriffs in this country need to unite in this.

[00:34:54] And he basically said that.

[00:34:55] But I like the word unite.

[00:34:57] Yeah, he said come aboard or get aboard or, you know, whatever.

[00:35:00] Yeah, get on board.

[00:35:01] And so it is, you know, Jerry feels that way.

[00:35:06] He's felt that way for a long time.

[00:35:10] And, yeah, you know, you have to do these other ministerial things.

[00:35:14] The administration of the sheriff's office is a big job.

[00:35:19] But the purpose of all of this is to protect the civil rights of every individual.

[00:35:28] And so I want to be involved in that, and I want to help with a lot of it.

[00:35:35] Because, first of all, I'm so dedicated to Jerry and the man that he is.

[00:35:43] And I told him when he asked for my endorsement, I told him, I'm not going to give it to you until you go to Stacey and your campaign and ask them if they want to take the heat for being endorsed by Sheriff Mack.

[00:35:59] Because there are a lot of liars, and he mentioned one of them, and Southern Poverty Law Center has won.

[00:36:03] And, obviously, Sam, you know it as well as I do.

[00:36:06] The Southern Poverty Law Center has lost a great deal of credibility.

[00:36:11] Yeah, 20-plus state attorneys generals called them out and said they've lost all their credibility.

[00:36:16] So we're just following in their footsteps at this point.

[00:36:18] But, yes.

[00:36:20] Yeah, but there's others, you know, the IREHR and their crazy views.

[00:36:26] I mean, it just absolutely looks like a mental disorder with these groups, the ADL, them, and then a few others.

[00:36:33] There's, you know, the Daily Beast.

[00:36:35] And who calls themselves a legitimate news agency by saying we're the Daily Beast?

[00:36:42] And, by the way, the Daily Beast, just so you know, when I was at the Republican Convention for Trump in 2016, I was at the Republican Convention, ladies and gentlemen.

[00:36:50] And I sat right across from CNN.

[00:36:52] Believe it or not, CNN brought me water and all this kind of stuff.

[00:36:56] And the people from the Daily Beast came on my show, and at the end they said they'd come back and they loved it.

[00:37:00] And then later they found out who I was and they lost their minds.

[00:37:04] Yeah.

[00:37:05] Just so you know.

[00:37:06] Yeah.

[00:37:07] They loved it when they were on with us, though, Sheriff.

[00:37:10] Yeah, of course.

[00:37:11] And, you know, it's just remarkable.

[00:37:14] It's unbelievable.

[00:37:15] It's unbelievable.

[00:37:16] The agenda of these groups and how they unite.

[00:37:21] They're pretty good at united.

[00:37:23] But it's just there's no fairness and no honesty.

[00:37:26] It's just agenda driven.

[00:37:28] And they're not going to let the truth or good people get in their way.

[00:37:33] They will not.

[00:37:35] And I will bring it back to the liar, Sarah Sidner, who came to my home and interviewed me a couple of years ago from CNN.

[00:37:43] And you warned me not to do it.

[00:37:45] And just a clown.

[00:37:46] She's just evil.

[00:37:48] They don't even come in with honest intentions.

[00:37:50] They literally come in with an axe to grind with an agenda.

[00:37:53] And even when they know the truth, they're not humble enough to even admit it is the problem.

[00:37:58] Yeah.

[00:37:58] Yeah.

[00:37:59] And, you know, I should have taken your suggestion and advice at that time.

[00:38:04] And that is, look, I'll come to New York and I'll come to L.A.

[00:38:08] She was taking that.

[00:38:10] We'll do it live, baby.

[00:38:10] And I'll go live.

[00:38:12] You can ask me any question you want.

[00:38:14] But, yes, that way I get to say what I want.

[00:38:18] Because the one thing I told her, I said, the only reason you and I are sitting down together right now for the next hour, she said it would be an hour.

[00:38:26] And it was a little over that.

[00:38:27] It's because when I was sheriff, I became the first sheriff in American history to sue the federal government, the Clinton administration, no less, take it all the way to the United States Supreme Court.

[00:38:38] And we won a major landmark case.

[00:38:42] That is it.

[00:38:43] And so I said, that's my calling card issue.

[00:38:46] That's the only reason you've contacted me, because that was the case.

[00:38:51] My CSPOA that you're here to assail, my national organization, Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association, was born out of that lawsuit.

[00:39:03] Everything I've done since then is out of that lawsuit.

[00:39:07] This interview we're doing right now is out of that lawsuit.

[00:39:11] And what's fascinating is they want to talk about everything but the lawsuit for some stranger.

[00:39:15] Well, she never mentioned it either.

[00:39:17] She never mentioned it in her story.

[00:39:18] Not once.

[00:39:20] And so at the end, she says, well, I'm going to be fair.

[00:39:23] And I said, no, you're not.

[00:39:24] I said, you're going to lie about this and you're going to lie about me.

[00:39:29] And she goes, why do you say that?

[00:39:31] You don't know me.

[00:39:31] This is the first time we've ever met.

[00:39:33] I go, it's pretty immaterial.

[00:39:35] You know, you work for CNN.

[00:39:36] Because if you really stood up for what was right, CNN would get rid of you.

[00:39:40] That's why.

[00:39:41] And we know it because we've seen it happen over and over and over and over to make the point.

[00:39:45] All right.

[00:39:46] One of the great things about Jerry Sheridan winning the fourth largest county in the country and now becoming sheriff-elect and soon he'll be sworn in as the sheriff is really this focus.

[00:39:57] They tried to, you know, when Jerry decided to have your endorsement and he really said, look, I'm a constitutional sheriff and I'm not running away from that.

[00:40:05] I'm going to embrace that.

[00:40:07] You know, they really thought, okay, we can draw a wedge between the people and this guy on this.

[00:40:13] We can beat him up.

[00:40:14] But he was so articulate in standing for what a constitutional sheriff is that it didn't work.

[00:40:19] This is a huge win for what the CSPOA stands for and is built upon and what you've been saying forever, which is it's about the oath.

[00:40:28] It's about the rule of law.

[00:40:30] It's about the Constitution.

[00:40:31] It's about protecting the people.

[00:40:33] Skip the break.

[00:40:33] It's about protecting the people from enemies, foreign and domestic.

[00:40:36] And sometimes that even means government, right?

[00:40:39] Go ahead and skip the break.

[00:40:45] All right.

[00:40:45] Go ahead, sheriff.

[00:40:46] I'll work on that.

[00:40:46] Yeah, that's exactly correct.

[00:40:48] And I was thrilled with how he responded to people who went after him on that issue.

[00:40:56] And just recently they challenged him on that.

[00:40:59] And you and I watched that recent video that he did with the local ABC affiliate.

[00:41:06] And, you know, they sat down in a park and they just said, hey, well, what about your connection with Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association?

[00:41:16] And then he asked him, are you sorry you went to that meeting?

[00:41:20] I don't even know what meeting he's talking about.

[00:41:22] The only meeting he's ever been, he's only been to one that I recall.

[00:41:25] And that was way back in 2017.

[00:41:28] And so this shows you how interesting.

[00:41:30] He wanted to know what we were about.

[00:41:34] Now, did he and I have talks before that?

[00:41:36] Yes.

[00:41:37] But he never saw it in person.

[00:41:39] And he wanted to know what we were really about.

[00:41:42] And afterwards, he goes, why?

[00:41:45] What's the big deal?

[00:41:46] All you're doing is talking about history and the Constitution and the oath of office.

[00:41:51] What is the big deal?

[00:41:53] Why?

[00:41:53] Why are there so many pundits out there knocking you guys and and saying that you're these extremists and whatnot?

[00:42:02] And the answer is because the communists can't have a stand for the rule of law, can't have sheriffs that want to protect the citizens, can't have the checks and balances, can't have the rule of law, can't have honesty and integrity in the office, can't have, you know, due process of law.

[00:42:18] Otherwise, their whole plan to destroy the country falls apart.

[00:42:21] That's why.

[00:42:23] Well, yeah, you and I get that.

[00:42:25] And it's obvious that's their agenda.

[00:42:27] I mean, there's there's just no question.

[00:42:30] They want to destroy the foundation of America.

[00:42:35] When Barack Obama came out and said, we're going to fundamentally change America, he absolutely meant it.

[00:42:41] And you don't change the fundamentals, folks, without changing and altering or destroying our Constitution, because our Constitution is the fundamental foundation.

[00:42:55] And look what how look what they accomplished.

[00:42:58] I mean, look at the inner city crime and chaos that they've done.

[00:43:04] And I want to mostly say it's it's the Democrat driven agenda.

[00:43:09] And it was they intentionally now.

[00:43:13] And they didn't do this that much under Barack Obama.

[00:43:16] And he actually did some deportations.

[00:43:19] But he also was pretty sneaky about the backdoor approach and making sure that they did come in.

[00:43:26] But at the same time, he wasn't even close to what's going on now.

[00:43:33] But he helped usher it in.

[00:43:35] And this agenda of bringing in illegal aliens has brought in terrorists, cartels, fentanyl, increased human trafficking, increased exponentially human trafficking and a sexual exploitation of children.

[00:43:53] And the Democrats are supposed to sit back and go.

[00:43:56] We're all proud of this.

[00:43:57] We need more of this.

[00:43:58] And we've done we've done great.

[00:43:59] Like Biden said, look at all of our accomplishments.

[00:44:02] And I said, yes, we ought to look at your accomplishments and go down the list for everyone to see.

[00:44:08] And so, Sam, this is beyond anyone's wildest imagination that the Democrat Party could be so destructive of American ideals.

[00:44:23] And the fact that this sheriff, Sheridan, literally stood up and said, no, I'm a constitutional sheriff.

[00:44:30] It doesn't mean what these clowns say that it means.

[00:44:33] It means this and articulates it properly and highlights it and stands on that and wins in the fourth largest municipality or county in the country.

[00:44:45] That really says something.

[00:44:47] And I believe it'll be a seat change in Arizona specifically.

[00:44:50] But I think across the nation for sheriffs to give consideration to to the CSPOA.

[00:44:55] We focus on de-escalation training, ladies and gentlemen.

[00:44:59] We focus on due process.

[00:45:01] We focus on the oath of office.

[00:45:03] We focus on all those core things that make a sheriff our friends.

[00:45:07] And then community policing comes in.

[00:45:10] And boy, do we have a partnership for solutions and peace and prosperity in the greatest country on the face of the earth, Sheriff.

[00:45:18] Yeah, no kidding.

[00:45:19] And that's it, too, Sam.

[00:45:21] It really is.

[00:45:22] And I, you know, I see still too much happening in our country.

[00:45:30] We have got to have Trump's back.

[00:45:34] You know, he looks like he's headed in the right direction, bringing on Elon Musk to review every bureaucracy in Washington, D.C.

[00:45:44] That's what we've been begging for for decades, Sam.

[00:45:47] No question.

[00:45:48] And that they're actually pursuing that now.

[00:45:50] That is tremendous leadership.

[00:45:52] And I sure hope it shows.

[00:45:55] Why do we have an IRS?

[00:45:57] Because the only reason we know we need them is because the tax code is so convoluted and impossible to understand.

[00:46:07] And that allows any IRS to do anything they want because the law is so vague and stupid.

[00:46:16] And if they were to do it simply, first of all, I want Trump to keep his word and say we need to abolish the income tax, which means they would be able to abolish 90 percent of the IRS.

[00:46:31] And I'm just looking so forward to that.

[00:46:33] I want to help with that.

[00:46:34] I want to remind him of that.

[00:46:36] And I think Elon Musk being there is absolutely exactly what America needs.

[00:46:46] Ladies and gentlemen, we need to issue a press release.

[00:46:49] And I don't know what it's going to say exactly.

[00:46:51] But it would be something like, you know what?

[00:46:55] Maricopa County Sheriff-elect Jerry Sheridan announces key initiatives and partnerships for enhanced community safety.

[00:47:06] Dateline Phoenix, Arizona, something like that.

[00:47:08] And it would talk about his commitment to rebuild the office.

[00:47:11] It would talk about revealing partnerships with the CSPOA.

[00:47:17] Talking about his 40-year experience as in the sheriff's office that he's had.

[00:47:22] Becoming the sheriff now.

[00:47:23] Standing with the Constitution.

[00:47:26] Benefiting the community.

[00:47:28] Okay?

[00:47:29] To basically a pivotal issue to bring back the posse.

[00:47:32] Teaching, you know, Bob Songer and Sheridan will have two of the greatest posses in the country.

[00:47:37] A tiny area, in Bob Songer's case, in a huge area.

[00:47:40] Showing that it can work all up and down the line.

[00:47:43] Vital for effective law enforcement, folks.

[00:47:47] Okay?

[00:47:49] Fortify public safety by these efforts.

[00:47:52] You know, stop the drug smuggling, too.

[00:47:54] I mean, there's so much that we can focus on.

[00:47:56] I just sent you a sample press release starting point, Sheriff.

[00:47:59] Sheriff, I think we need to do something like this and really highlight what's been done here.

[00:48:06] Yeah, I do, too.

[00:48:06] I think that's a great idea.

[00:48:09] I want to see...

[00:48:11] Well, I want to help.

[00:48:12] I want to be supportive.

[00:48:14] And I believe that the sheriffs of this country are going to still be very essential to this.

[00:48:18] If anybody thinks that they're going to have mass deportations and sheriffs are not going to be part of that,

[00:48:25] sheriffs can tell the federal government where the cells are located, where the cartels have set up.

[00:48:34] Is there anyone in law enforcement in Aurora, Colorado, that doesn't know where those Venezuelan gangs are after they supposedly took over those apartment complexes?

[00:48:48] Well, one, they're in those apartment complexes.

[00:48:50] And I'll bet you they're already hightailing it, if you want to know the truth.

[00:48:54] I believe that they're afraid of Trump.

[00:48:58] And I think that the sheriffs of this country need to have his back and to protect him, make sure that he doesn't forget about his personal safety.

[00:49:07] But you know what, cartels?

[00:49:09] If you take him out, we're going to get right behind J.D. Vance, and he's going to be just as powerful, and he's going to be just as good.

[00:49:17] And if you take them both out, then whoever is right there, Secretary of State, looks like that might be the senator from Florida, Marco Rubio.

[00:49:30] Yeah, Marco Rubio, yep.

[00:49:32] We're going to have their back, and we're going to have every one of them.

[00:49:35] And so no matter what you do to any of us, we're going to be filling the shoes right after that with somebody else just like us.

[00:49:44] Let me give you one other point that relates to this big time, ladies and gentlemen.

[00:49:49] President-elect Donald Trump has reaffirmed his commitment to national concealed reciprocity,

[00:49:59] aiming to ensure that all concealed carry permits are accepted in all 50 states.

[00:50:07] Your news with the details, Sheriff.

[00:50:09] Well, I want to see how that goes in California.

[00:50:15] I'm just saying the push begins, right?

[00:50:18] That's right.

[00:50:21] And Newsom and then the – is it Spritzer in Chicago?

[00:50:28] Is he mayor or is he governor?

[00:50:30] I think he's governor.

[00:50:31] But, yeah, those two have already challenged Trump and said, just try to come and change our states.

[00:50:36] Come on.

[00:50:36] There you go.

[00:50:37] So, you know what?

[00:50:40] America can still go back without the two of you, even if you don't want to come on board the Freedom Train.

[00:50:47] That's all this is.

[00:50:49] It's freedom.

[00:50:50] Yeah, J.D. Pritzker is the governor.

[00:50:52] You're correct.

[00:50:53] Yeah.

[00:50:54] And he, in particular, really believes in gun control.

[00:51:00] His oath says –

[00:51:02] Yeah, but even in his state, all of his sheriffs shut him down, buddy.

[00:51:06] Of course.

[00:51:07] Yeah, 90% of the sheriffs were against him.

[00:51:10] And I believe that those sheriffs stopped it.

[00:51:12] But sheriffs have stopped gun control nationwide numerous times.

[00:51:16] And they did it against Obama right after the Sandy Hook shootings and murders.

[00:51:23] He was – they were going to implement a bunch of gun control.

[00:51:26] And 550 sheriffs stood up and said, no, you're not.

[00:51:29] We're not going to allow that to happen.

[00:51:31] And then they did it again when Biden was talking about it.

[00:51:36] And neither one fulfilled their promise of more gun control and gun confiscation because the sheriffs stood up.

[00:51:46] And the seven of us that sued the federal government back in 1994.

[00:51:51] We stopped Brady Bills, half of one, and Brady Bills 2, 3, 4, and 5 that would have completely shut down the Second Amendment.

[00:52:01] The sheriffs of this country have been very instrumental in preserving our God-given rights, especially the Second Amendment.

[00:52:07] And God bless them for it, and they need the backing from We the People.

[00:52:11] Not only is the Sheriff's Posse going to become alive again in Maricopa County, Arizona, under the leadership of Jerry Sheridan, Sheriff-elect there now.

[00:52:20] Thank the good Lord for a constitutional sheriff at that scale.

[00:52:24] But I also want to tell you the National Sheriff's Posse is alive and well.

[00:52:29] You want to become a member, get involved, and influence your sheriff for good, make a difference in your local community?

[00:52:36] CSPOA.org is where you go.

[00:52:37] You sign up, and you'll fund our work training sheriffs across the country.

[00:52:41] Look, Jerry Sheridan just said on the radio he wants to have his office trained.

[00:52:45] And all this stuff costs money, folks.

[00:52:47] It takes time.

[00:52:48] It takes effort.

[00:52:49] But we're talking about de-escalation training.

[00:52:51] We're talking about oaths of office training.

[00:52:55] We're talking about the proper rule of government, understanding the supreme law of the land, what the supremacy clause means.

[00:53:01] And right on through, there is so much to be had, and you can be part of it all at CSPOA.org.

[00:53:07] Become part of the Posse today.

[00:53:10] And then you'll have the National Posse backing your local posses and coordinating with sheriffs all across this country.

[00:53:16] To bring back peace and prosperity is really what it's about, Sheriff.

[00:53:21] Yeah, it really is, Sam.

[00:53:22] And I think that's a good way to put it.

[00:53:25] Peace and prosperity both happen when there is liberty.

[00:53:31] The most prosperous nation in the world was also the freest nation in the world, and that's the United States of America.

[00:53:42] And Cleon Skousen spells that out in his book, The 5,000-Year Leap.

[00:53:47] And it's so true, Sam, that everything was pretty much the same for a long time, for 5,000 years.

[00:53:54] And then America and liberty came around, and bam, we reached the stars.

[00:54:00] I'm so grateful to be here.

[00:54:03] Amen to that.

[00:54:04] Thanks to Jerry Sheridan.

[00:54:05] Thanks for the good share, Richard Mack.

[00:54:06] By the way, when we come back at the start of next hour, we got Casey Whelan, North Idaho Exposed.

[00:54:12] We'll be talking to him.

[00:54:13] I also got a clip from Ronald Reagan that I want to play.

[00:54:15] You know, when he did his parting address, if you will, his farewell address, he talked about the kitchen table a little bit.

[00:54:24] I want to play that and talk about that because that's where you and I can make some of the biggest differences in the country.

[00:54:29] Moms and dads and children talking around the dinner table, ladies and gentlemen.

[00:54:33] We'll play that.

[00:54:34] Have Casey on.

[00:54:35] We've got a whole lot to come.

[00:54:36] One hour in the can.

[00:54:37] Hour two coming up.

[00:54:39] CSPOA.org.

[00:54:40] Become a member of the Posse today.

[00:54:41] LibertyRoundTable.com, LovingLiberty.net, and God save the republic.
