[00:00:13] Broadcasting live from atop the Rocky Mountains, the crossroads of the West. You are listening to the Liberty Roundtable Radio Talk Show. All right. Happy to have you along, my fellow Americans, Sam Bushman, live on your radio. Hard-hitting news the network refused to use, no doubt, starts now. This, my fellow Americans, is the broadcast for May 5th in the year of our Lord, 2025.
[00:00:39] This is our one of two of the goal always to protect life, liberty, and property, to promote God, family, and country, to use the checks and balances brilliantly found in the supreme law of the land, the Constitution for the United States of America. That's who we are. That's what we do as we promote God, family, country, protect life, liberty, and property. We reject revolution unless it's a Jesus revolution. Then we're in because we follow the Prince of Peace. Dr. Scott Bradley, freedomsrisingsun.com, well known for the To Preserve the Nation,
[00:01:08] and collegiate series, also his weekly webinars Thursday night, and a whole lot more. Dr. Bradley, welcome back. Hope you had a great weekend, sir. Well, and same to you, Sam. Appreciate the opportunity to be here. And, you know, today's Cinco de Mayo. I mean, we're talking about the, you know, it was 1862 that Mexico defeated the French and an invasion that happened on the 5th of May.
[00:01:37] That isn't their Independence Day, by the way, though. Their Independence Day is the 16th of September. Yeah, it was like the Battle of Puebla or whatever, right? That's what it was on the 5th of May. But here's the interesting thing to me. I was just looking on my calendar here. Ignacio Farinoza or whatever is the guy that helped make that happen, right? He was the leader. Well, here's the deal. 16th of September is on my calendar as Independence Day in Mexico.
[00:02:06] But the 17th of December is a very passing, rather ordinary day, and that's the day the Constitution got signed. It's interesting to me that that day is completely ignored in a calendar printed in the United States of America, and Mexican Independence Day is given some kind of preeminence in September. Can I stop you, though? Can I just stop you with historical reality for a second?
[00:02:36] Yeah, go ahead. I mean, I appreciate Cinco de Mayo May 5th. They, you know, celebrated the victory over the French. You know, that's great. But the guy that led that whole thing literally died months after the battle from an illness. However, the reality is a larger French force ultimately defeated the Mexican army and then occupied Mexico City. So, I mean, it's one battle that was won, right?
[00:03:05] But they ultimately lost, right? Well, and here's something that perhaps is even at least as strange as that. But the 5th of May is kind of a nondescript day in Mexico. I mean, it's just like everything else. In Mexico, there's almost nary a whimper about that. But here in America, with all those that seem to be so dead set against assimilating into their, quote-unquote, new adopted country...
[00:03:34] But you know why they're doing that, right? I don't know. I guess they'd like to drink beer on the 5th of May, but I don't know why. Well, they do that for sure, but because of La Raza, my friend. Well, that's right. You know the principles of La Raza, right? And basically, they're the race that's going to overcome all others. Yeah, and they're the race that basically has been wronged by the Americans. And therefore, when they come to America, you know, I'm not saying all of them, but a significant portion.
[00:03:59] Their goal is we're back to our homeland that was stolen from us, and we will rise from the ashes and take it again. I mean, that's the principle of La Raza, right? Well, it is, but it's interesting to me. And rather than distract the whole day with this thing, I find it rather amazing that, you know, the Mexican war that happened, you know,
[00:04:20] and, you know, the Americans, 1847, 48, you know, and, you know, there was probably 22,000 Mexicans killed during that war, 18,000 Americans. I mean, you know, we're talking around numbers here, but that didn't even have to happen. The whole back story on that is that, you know, when Texas got their independence, everybody just went home.
[00:04:44] The Texans don't do their paperwork, and they didn't set definitive, shall we say, boundaries to what was Texas and Mexico. Now, the Texans had been promised independence clear back in 1821, and then, you know, they had the revolution. But they lied, right? Well, no, it's the Mexican Revolution and all that kind of stuff. They have a revolution about every two years in those days back in Mexico.
[00:05:09] But America, when Texas wanted to come in, and we, you know, welcomed them in as a nation, there was a border dispute. And the Americans wanted to buy, literally, they were at the negotiating table to purchase the territory that ultimately was turned over by the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo after the Mexican War. But here's the deal.
[00:05:36] The Americans paid about exactly the same amount in gold that they had offered to buy it for before the war. And Mexico was inclined to take that purchase price. But here's the deal. Some of the people that were negotiating had some integrity. And they said, no, you know, we'd love to take your offer, but we don't think it'll be honored by the next revolutionary army or group that comes in because, you know, everybody tosses out the last guy's agreements.
[00:06:06] And so they were reluctant to take it. That's what I mean by they lied, right? Well, that's the thing is Americans, even though they won the war, you know, they conquered Mexico City, yada, yada, yada. They bought what they got in the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. And then later on, they paid another, I think, $10 million in gold for the Gadsden Purchase.
[00:06:27] But anyway, all of that stuff that came into America, if you want to look at it as a kind of a war conquering or a purchase, that's what happened during that period of time. Now, the people that are attempting to take back their home or mother country are sadly mistaken in another way. The 1850 Utah – well, it wasn't Utah at the time. It was the territory out in our neck of the woods. It was called Deseret, ladies and gentlemen.
[00:06:57] Right. And it was kind of a bold swipe of other territory that Brigham was putting out. But the fact of the matter is, in that census, there were only four Mexicans in the territory. I mean, it wasn't like it was overrun by, you know, citizens that were displaced and everything else like that. So there's a whole bunch of stories. I mean, you know, what I'm doing is I'm giving you the superficial stuff that you say, whoa, whoa, whoa.
[00:07:25] The story we're being told nowadays is so different than that. But be that as it may, today's the 5th of May, if you will. It was a victory over the French in Mexico, a non-issue in Mexico. Here in America, they use it as a big hoopty-doo time. But the real independence is 16th of September, and the Constitution signing on the 17th of September is not even on any American's calendar. Well, it's on mine, but I write them in, you know.
[00:07:54] But that's kind of an interesting spin. And the celebration that you're going to see today and eating tacos or whatever you're going to do, Sam, I don't know what you're going to do for your day, but it really is a non-issue in Mexico. It's like, huh? Well, 5th of May, yeah, okay. Because it really didn't really gain them anything except for, as you point out, a single victory in a battle. So the rest of the story sometimes is very interesting to kind of chew on a little bit
[00:08:22] and how they were really going to sign off on the, you know, transfer of territory to the United States with a payment of gold, which we ultimately paid and ultimately conquered, cost a whole gob of lives, and didn't have to happen. They could have negotiated six more months and had a deal. But the war hawks... And most wars, by the way, are that way. They don't have to happen. You just get these armchair quarterback thugs that are, you know, hawkish in nature,
[00:08:49] and they believe that, hey, peace through war, and it's a farce. It's a lie. Well, that's where I was going with this, is that today we have a Houthi war going that Trump started. Well, it didn't start today, but it's been going on totally in Constitution. Say again? I said Trump continued, really. Well, he's, well, true, but the fact of the matter is we launched Pearl Harbor attacks for days and weeks
[00:09:13] on the Houthis now based upon what I think is as fabricated as the Gulf of Tonkin stuff of 1963, and it's completely a facade with what we're doing today without constitutional authority of Congress. Hey, Doctor, as long as the play works, we're going to run it, buddy. That's how they add. That's their attitude, right? We, the people, have got to start getting smarter. I mean, war is the most murderous thing.
[00:09:43] We've got to bust up that play to where, hey, this play doesn't work anymore, and it's only we, the people, that can do that and demand that our Congress critters pay attention to us. And as long as we sit docile on the sidelines, they'll run the same play over and over, right? Yeah, you're right, and it's we, the people, that are responsible ultimately. All right, so what are you going to do for Cinco de Mayo then? Are you going to celebrate? Well, I've got to pay bills today, and I've got a presentation I'm making in a couple of days. No big old beer bust at your house, Doctor?
[00:10:12] No, no, I think that it's going to be a little more calm than that. A little more sober. But no, it's crazy. It's just crazy what we have turned this into. It's kind of like Leprechaun Day. What do they call that? St. Paddy's Day? Yeah. It's not even an issue in Ireland. I mean, you know, you go to... Oh, buddy, it's huge. Don't you go get some corned beef and hash and stuff like that? Go to Chicago or to Boston or something like that on Leprechaun Day, and it's really amazing. But in my Irish friends...
[00:10:42] When Dr. Bradley brings in the pot of gold, his wife thinks he's a leprechaun, ladies and gentlemen. Yeah, that'll happen. All right, hang tight. We've got a quick pause. We're talking hard-hitting news that I was refused to use. It is Cinco de Mayo, but you've got to study the history. How come it's not big in Mexico, but it is in America? Hang tight. Let's talk about it. I believe there will come a time when we are all judged on whether or not we took a stand in defense of all life from the moment of conception until our last natural breath.
[00:11:09] As a teenager, I gave my first public speech in my church. My hand shook. My heart pounded. I thought to myself, I can't do this. But somehow I did, and because I wanted to talk about things that were important, I persisted. I chided my church as a senior in high school for not seeming to care about the not yet born, for looking the other way, and for not taking a stand on life. I will be in earnest.
[00:11:36] I will not equivocate, and I will not excuse. I will not retreat an inch, and I will be heard. One thing I promise you, I will always take a stand for life.
[00:11:56] I will not.

[00:13:01] Live and on your radio, ladies and gentlemen, the reason that St. Paddy's Day, wearing green and everything else, isn't such a big deal in Ireland, and the reason that Cinco de Mayo in Mexico is not really a big deal is because, you know what? In America, they use these holidays to kind of foment the great divide, if you will. They want basically these people, instead of coming and being part of the great melting pot, instead of jettisoning their language, for the most part, their customs, and becoming Americans.
[00:13:31] Nowadays, what we do is we foster importing groups of people that eventually double down in defense of their culture, their lifestyle, their way of life, their language, to where we have nothing in common. And it's intentionally done to where, hey, they're different than us, we're different than them, we don't understand them, they don't understand us. In fact, we can't even communicate. And the first thing you do when you want to destroy a country is you attack the comms, if you will.
[00:13:58] And what they're doing is they're attacking the communications by language barriers. I mean, they have, you know, English as a second language or whatever else, but for the most part, hey, they speak their languages in their homes. And I'm not against their culture and their language, folks, at all. This isn't hatred towards them or anything else. But we used to have a different attitude. They said, I want to come to America and I want to have liberty. I want the freedom to worship. I want the freedom to work hard and enjoy the fruits of my labor. And I want the American dream.
[00:14:26] And therefore, hey, I don't hate my old country and I don't hate my old customs or anything else. And I'm okay with even celebrating customs. But if you're not very careful, it's just the great divide and conquer tactic being fomented and promoted in America. And the proof is in the pudding. Hey, we don't have a Constitution Day. Hey, that's September 17th, one of the greatest days in America, in my opinion. It's the whole governing document of the nation, the supreme law of the land. That's not really on the calendar in a lot of cases. But yet, hey, Cinco de Mayo is. St. Paddy's Day is.
[00:14:55] See, but it's really all about fomenting the great divide because that way they can conquer, doctor. That's really what the discussion, in my opinion, boils down to. Well, you know, we talk about the communist efforts to, you know, kind of basically overcome by, you know, turmoil, conflict, everything else like that. But let me just point out something that it really does work. I mean, I think God's a pretty smart guy. Okay. I think you'll give me that. I mean, sometimes you have to wonder what I'm saying, though.
[00:15:24] But just kind of go with the flow on this one for a second. God has used this communication thing in the past pretty effectively, if you believe the Tower of Babel kind of stuff and how everybody was kind of unified and pulling off whatever they were going to do, albeit for cases that were kind of contrary and in rebellion of God. But he said, okay, you guys, we're going to make it so none of you can talk. None of you can work together.
[00:15:50] And ultimately and finally, everybody fragmented and scattered all over the world. And it was according to his plan to prevent them from doing a wicked thing. The communists are using it, on the other hand, as a counterfeit to pull off what they really want to do, this divide and conquer kind of thing. We're being balkanized. If you think about what happened, you know, with all of the different languages and religions and ethnicity, and pretty soon countries fall apart. Yugoslavia is not even there anymore.
[00:16:20] And that's what happens when you get this divide and conquer thing. If you came together and everybody was, hey, this is my country now, like my grandma did when she came from Denmark in the 1890s through Ellis Island. I've told you before how I constantly, well, not constantly, but regularly bugged my grandma. Teach me Danish. She'd say, no, we're Americans. We speak American here. And she whole heart, whole hog was American.
[00:16:47] And she had a boy that, I mean, I say he lost his life in World War II. The statistics don't say that. I say he died in 1943, but he didn't realize it until 1963 because the war completely ruined him. But at any rate, he was a sacrifice on the altar, if you will, for trying to preserve what they felt was the cause of Americanism. Anyway, that's not a good, that's not happening.
[00:17:16] And I don't even have a problem if you want to know your second language. It's good to know more than one language. I don't have a problem if you have a little bit of cultural remembrance of some of your culture. I don't have a problem with any of that. I think it's good for us to learn about other cultures that don't have a problem with that. The problem is these people become so, well, for example, you just take Chinatown. I mean, which big city doesn't have a Chinatown in it? Right? Yeah. And so you start to look at that and you say, hey, you know, do they even have the same viewpoints that we do?
[00:17:45] Do they have the same desire for liberty and focus? See, they don't know anything about our culture. They don't care about our culture. That's the problem. And I'm not saying that our culture is necessarily better than other cultures, except for this. We put God above government or a greater source of power than government, the almighty, the whatever you want to call it. We don't even focus on a specific religious detail. But it is, you know, Judeo-Christian in nature. It is focused on the principles that, hey, the two great commandments, the ten commandments.
[00:18:15] And, you know, hey, they don't even know about that or care about that. But they come here and they want our way of life and they want our prosperity and they want our. But they don't really want any of our life because they've been taught and it's been driven as a wedge to say, you know, America's got the best place to be because they give you free stuff. However, other than that, they're a bunch of buffoons. And we allow that to stand. And that's where that's got to stop, folks. So there you have it. Anyway, the guy that made Cinco de Mayo, that win happened, died a few months later.
[00:18:44] Then the larger French force defeated and eventually, you know, invaded Mexico City. So I don't know that it's a day that I'll be celebrating personally. I mean, it would be like celebrating the 4th of July if we had lost the war because we won a battle. I mean, even that alone is circumspect, to say the least, doctor. Yeah, it really is. The whole big picture is really important. And we've got to keep that. And what we are is becoming really a balkanized nation, the way we're handling these things. It's bizarre.
[00:19:13] So, you know, just, I don't know, I kind of throw out a little date and suddenly it becomes a central theme. We're almost up to the time. And it does because it's important, though. We've talked about a lot of things. We've talked about the balkanization of America. We've talked about the rejection of communism. We've talked about how they lie to us about history, making you believe this is some big win for the Mexican people. And, I mean, I agree that it was a win, but it was very short-lived when your leader dies a few months after due to an illness.
[00:19:40] You eventually get defeated at the second battle and then, hey, they invade Mexico City. I don't know. To me, it's like, hey, we won a skirmish. We're going to celebrate it, but we lost the war. I don't know about all that. But I will say this. I've been begging the White House for several years now, even when Trump took office the first time, Dr. Bradley. And I said, you know what I want to see? I want to see the White House come out with a news site.
[00:20:05] Not because I want to just take the news from the government, but I'd love to hear their sides of the story. And 99 times out of 100, we hear from the mainstream press, and they get to peddle the deception or the fake news. And it's really hard to get the truth. It's really hard to overcome the propaganda because without facts, without details, without the other side of the story, it's almost impossible to do. I don't know what's going on, man, but Trump and team listened.
[00:20:31] Headline says the White House has launched a drudge style website to promote its accomplishments. Whitehouse.gov slash wire. I got the story at WND.com, but it's whitehouse.wire. I'm sorry, whitehouse.gov slash wire. Let me say that again. Sorry. Whitehouse.gov slash wire. And I commend them.
[00:20:58] It's not even so much, Dr. Bradley, that you've got to believe everything they say. Because I don't. I still have the ability to think for myself. But I will say, when I can at least get Trump's side of a story or the White House side of a story, that has real value. Because now I can put what the White House is saying versus what the mainstream press is saying. And if we're wise, we'll get enough of our own websites to say what are the constitutional conservatives or the freedom fighters, whatever you want to say.
[00:21:27] And I can, you know, look at it the way I want to. Now, in addition to the website, whitehouse.gov slash wire, they got the wire term because the Associated Press is called the AP wire. And they kicked them out in terms of special privilege, and now they have to act like everybody else so they don't have carte blanche at the media trough anymore. But I can at least hear what the Trump's side of the story is. Right? So, anyway, I find that very interesting.
[00:21:55] And, again, I want more sides of the story. I can make up my own mind as to the reality of it. But I think this is a good move, Dr. Bradley. Oh, I can't believe that they're so slow to the punch. I mean, I just have been telling them about it. You've heard me tell them for like almost 10 years now. Well, they just haven't listened. But here's the here's the issue. I look at a lot of different news sources from all over the world. But I find it very interesting.
[00:22:21] Most of the lame brain legacy kinds of media kinds of things. I'll just give an example. When when some of the economic reports came out the other day, everybody would say, oh, ain't it awful? We're all going to die. This economy is totally bogus. Well, the thing is that you know what they said? I was listening very carefully because you've got to pick up their key and loaded words.
[00:22:44] And they said, well, the latest economic report doesn't reflect the damage that Trump has done to the economy. And here's the word yet. Okay. So, I mean, unless you were listening. Now we're the global thought police and we're going to determine what we think it's supposed to be and attack it on that narrative, which has no basis in fact at all. Well, the inference is, oh, it's going to hit, baby. Just watch it fall on us and it's going to crush us all. So here's the deal.
[00:23:12] So they load their whole narrative with these words that basically inform us without really coming out and saying it. So Trump really can do better with his message, I'm sure. The fact that they've got a website. Everybody ought to have a website. Some of us can't afford a really good one, but they can. And they have one that is really able to trump some of the legacy news.
[00:23:41] Well, and all I can say is this in my mind. When you look at the media, they're just peddling this propaganda. I mean, it's fake news. It hasn't happened yet. Well, then why are they reporting as if it will happen as a certainty when they don't even know that for a fact? Answer, because they're full of propaganda. When we come back, there's a couple of other pretty interesting things relating to the media I want to get to. The White House has launched a drudge-style website to promote its accomplishments. Check it out.
[00:24:11] Whitehouse.gov slash wire. When we get back, Trump signs an executive order. Yeah, Trump's going to extend the deadline for TikTok. And there's a guy on TikTok talking about the media. [00:30:12] Broadcasting live from atop the Rocky Mountains, the crossroads of the West. You are listening to the Liberty Roundtable radio talk show. All right. Trump signs executive order directing federal funding cuts his goal to eliminate funding for PBS and NPR. That's PBS and NPR. I agree with that. I don't think executive orders are the way to do it. Go back to Congress.
[00:30:40] They shouldn't have the right to spend that money anyway. But nevertheless, the battle's on and Trump's at least taking the lead. We got to respect the checks and balances, though. Trump also to extend the June 19th deadline for TikTok to sell off its American operations to a U.S.-based or U.S.-owned company. Again, I don't think the president ought to be involved in that at all. But there's a guy on the media. His name is Stephen Eugene Kuhn. He's on TikTok.
[00:31:08] And he put together this little vignette on the media. I want to play this and talk about it. Here it is. Some people are slowly realizing it, some not. But the media is no longer reporting the truth. Go figure. And it didn't happen overnight either. It happened systematically in stages. Here's how it works. Stage one, consolidation of ownership. A generation ago, there were hundreds of independent newsrooms, different voices, competing ideas, real journalism. But over time, those outlets were bought up, merged, absorbed, controlled.
[00:31:36] By the early 2006, corporations controlled over 90% of all U.S. media. In Europe, public broadcasters became state-aligned. Private media, well, they were bought up by billionaires, banks, and global investment firms. Today, whether you're watching CNN or the BBC in the U.K., ZDF in Germany or MSNBC, you're hearing the same story. The same words, the same narrative. Their message doesn't belong to the people. It belongs to the powerful. Stage two, the rise of the agenda journalism. Once media was consolidated, the mission shifted. It stopped informing the people and started influencing them.
[00:32:05] Journalists didn't ask questions anymore. They delivered scripts. Headlines were crafted to trigger emotion and coverage was filtered through ideology. And misinformation, well, that just became a word that they used for anything that questioned their narrative. Even if it was true. Stage three, financial dependency on power. Most media today isn't funded by viewers. It's funded by governments, billionaires, and global NGOs. In the U.S., outlets like NPR and PBS rely on federal funding. In Europe, government subsidies keep state media afloat globally.
[00:32:33] The biggest newsrooms receive grants from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Open Society Foundation, the World Economic Forum, and others just like them. How can you report honestly on the very people and groups who pay your bills? Well, you can't and they don't. Stage four, censorship in disguise. Once they had control of the message, they moved to control the conversation. Big tech platforms, Facebook, YouTube, Google, Twitter. They all began working hand in hand with governments and media to silence dissent. They don't need censors in black boots anymore. They use algorithms.
[00:33:02] Your posts get shadow banned. Your videos get flagged. Whistleblowers get wiped from the Internet. And all of it gets labeled as protecting democracy. But it's not about protection. It's about obedience. Stage five, total narrative control. Now that the machine is fully operational, it doesn't just tell you what to think. It tells you who to trust, who to hate, who's good, and who needs to be silenced. And of course, for your own good. If you're against war, you're a traitor. If you question authority, well, then you're dangerous. If you want freedom, wow, then you're an extremist. This isn't journalism.
[00:33:31] It's behavioral programming and psychological warfare. Let's be honest. That leaves us in a world where the press sells the truth and the price. It's your mind. It's your peace and your ability to think for yourself. But there is a solution. Every time you question the official story and say, I don't buy it, you reclaim your freedom. Real journalism isn't on cable news anymore. It's being done by people like you and I. Let me leave you with this. It's how to read between the headlines. To understand the media today, read it in reverse. Because most of what they tell you isn't meant to inform you. It's meant to steer you.
[00:34:00] So when the media says, Trump is dangerous, ask dangerous to who? When they say he's undermining institutions, ask which institutions and who benefits from them staying in power? When they say it's a threat to democracy, what they really mean is it's a threat to their control. You also have to look at what they ignore. What they never show you because that's where the truth lives. Here's a simple framework that you can work with to get to the truth. Number one, who's speaking? Is it a government funded outlet? A billionaire owned paper? A globalist platform? Two, who benefits from the message?
[00:34:30] Follow the money. Who gains from you believing this? Three, what are they not showing you? The absence of a story is just as revealing as the presence of one. Four, what do they attack relentlessly and why? If they're smearing something nonstop, it's not because it's false. It's because it's dangerous to them. Not everything they say is a lie, but everything is framed for a reason. So always pause, zoom out and ask, why this story? Why now? Why like this? So my request to you is this. If you still have a voice, use it for those who don't. If you still have a platform, use it for those who've been erased.
[00:34:59] Because one, truth spoken without fear is more powerful than a thousand obedient lies. Wow, great job. He breaks it down pretty well in my opinion. You know, Chuck Harder used to tell us back in the early 90s, you got to read a story upside down because what they usually do is they tell you the propaganda at the top because they know that's what you're going to look at. But then they lay out some of the facts that oftentimes even contradicts what they say at the top because they don't want to get caught without the facts in the story.
[00:35:29] And so they've learned to wordsmith and write it in such a way to where, hey, oftentimes you got to read the headline, then read the last two paragraphs, and then think about it as he wisely says, and then fill in the middle. And I know that sounds complicated, but you got to understand that's kind of what's going on, folks, in the media. Any comments on this one, Doctor? I think you're spot on. Well, that's the thing. I mean, you almost got to take, I mean, it's only four minutes long, but you got to put it on pause and each one of the elements, write it down and ponder it
[00:35:58] because there's so much to unpack on this thing, but it's just kind of laden with truth about how untruths are settling upon this nation, just almost like the snow drift. It's covering us up. It really is horrific. And TikTok, you know, I'm not saying it's a great organization. It's backed by communist money, and I get all that. But if you censor TikTok, what's going to be censored next is the problem.
[00:36:27] And, you know, hey, this guy's using TikTok as a total truth teller. So that's pretty interesting too, right? Well, that's the thing is that these alternative media kinds of things can be used to push back. We've got so many alternative sources that we can look at now, and we've got to take advantage of it. I think I've mentioned before that my dad, you know, back in the 60s, you know, if Walter Cronkite hadn't said, and that's the way it is, you know, given the date, it wasn't.
[00:36:56] You know, dad would watch that news just like a drug addict almost. And in the evening when that came off and Walter Cronkite said it, it was the gospel truth. Well, Walter Cronkite was an instrument trying to unseat the Americanist ways, and he admitted that after he retired. Well, the thing is that today we can take other sources and use our own God-given intelligence and start thinking about what's actually happening.
[00:37:25] And too few people do that. They listen to the brainless side of TikTok instead of something that's got a little substance to it. And, of course, they shadow ban and eliminate a lot of the material that I put out there. So, you know, I feel put upon. All right, that was Stephen Eugene Kuhn doing a great job on TikTok telling the truth on, quote, the media. Moving to another topic, the Real ID Act.
[00:37:53] We've been fighting this for over 20 years now, but it will be reinforced nationwide in all 50 states beginning Wednesday, May 7th. Starting that day, every adult in the United States on a commercial or domestic flight or entering certain federal secure facilities
[00:38:19] must show a Real ID driver's license or ID card. They say you can also use another form of identification, such as a passport. And a lot of people think, oh, I'll just use my passport. I don't like Real ID. Well, it's the same thing, folks. They're playing games with you. They've got 50 ways to mark you, and eventually they'll merge all of them. And then they'll have the super Real ID if you're not very careful. But, Doctor, what do you say to this one? Well, again, this was passed back in 2005.
[00:38:48] And, you know, it was authoritarian. It's totalitarianism. It's papers, please. I mean, envision, you know, your old World War II movies and your KGB-type movies of the Cold War where the authoritarian... Yeah, papers, papers. You know, I mean, this is... There is nothing, nothing that would indicate that the Founding Fathers would have ever allowed a national identification. And, by the way, you know, you say, oh, well,
[00:39:17] I don't very often fly or whatever. I'll use my passport to just say, passport's really a Real ID. These biometric kinds of things. Think for a minute, though. This menaces almost every aspect. You can't go see your senator without having a Real ID thing if you go to his office or her office. The idea is, you know, you can't travel. Of course, that was something that... You go back and read Blackstone. Free men were able to travel freely without impediment.
[00:39:46] You know, you look at what it does. Well, think about the vaccine passport. Oh, my goodness. How could this be tied to? What if someday there's nothing in this? It's all coming, buddy. They're going to merge all those things. They're going to take your Social Security card, your driver's license, your passport, whatever else they've got, and they're going to merge them all into a big old massive dossier, and eventually they're going to back into the credit-based system, going back to the media. And if you listen to Liberty Roundtable Live or you view the wrong media or you speak out in a bold way and say the wrong things
[00:40:15] that contradict the mainstream press narrative, hey, they're going to go ahead and do a social credit score on you, and it's going to tank for you, and life just won't be so good anymore for you. So that's what's kind of coming. What I find fascinating is we have 48 hours or less now. Go ahead and skip the break. 48 hours or less to tell President Trump, hey, I think you've got to do emergency executive order to stop this thing and then go back to Congress and say you clowns got it wrong in 2005. Why don't you fix it in 2025? What about that idea, doctor?
[00:40:45] Well, I like the idea. See, this kind of thing, it's been put off and put off and put off. I mean, we've been resisting this thing. We've been talking about this thing. We've been warning about this thing. And here it is. It's upon us. They implemented this at seaports and things like this long before. Someday they may do it on local transportation. I don't know. Someday it may be, let's see a real ID to buy a firearm. We're going to keep track of that too. But the fact of the matter is
[00:41:11] I was up in Alaska about 2007. And I happened to be on the beach when I watched a guy land that was subverting the real ID thing because he did not want to come through a port of entry that had to see his real ID in Alaska. In those ports, they had implemented that early. And I got a chance to visit with him for a while. And he said, this is a real thing.
[00:41:39] It's an impediment of my ability, his ability, to have a job. He was a seafaring kind of guy and he worked on the ocean. And they had to have all of his information. I mean, there was a very early awakening to me about how this could really affect an ability of an individual to make a living. You know, Hamilton in two Federalist papers makes note of the power over a man's subsistence is the power over a man.
[00:42:10] And this can, you know, can you get a job? Can you travel and your work? Can you- No, the answer is no to all those things if they have their way. Yeah. So it really is- And when you buy a gun, by the way, you have to show that driver's license or your, you know, or your ID card. Then they go into this backend database that I'm telling you about and they research you and check if you're a problem. And they put driver's license records. They put all kinds of records in this thing. And that's expanding behind the scenes too.
[00:42:38] So when you merge all these things, they will have a real ID. Trump could stop it. He's got a short window to do so. But as far as I understand, the administration's for it. Well, oh, absolutely. And truly. Here's an interesting thing. I, you know, the, the, your driver license, and that's your identification to get on an airplane and everything. You talk about illegals having those and everything. That's another long story. But I, you know, a driver license- Illegals don't need anything to board an airplane. Just the legal people do. Yeah. Here's the deal.
[00:43:08] I tried, I've got, I mean, a concealed carry, state issued identification, and I'm a concealed carry instructor. And I've tried boarding aircraft using the state issued identification and just been deflected. No, no, no. You've got to have the driver's license. Okay. And so they're containing it to the, to the system that they want to use. And the, the biometric identifiers, I mean, you know,
[00:43:37] could be retinal scans, ultimately. Papers, papers, papers, you know. And, and, you know, seeing the Nazis or the KGB walk through the train. An implanted chip. Is that where they're going? Maybe, maybe. Maybe. And so it's, it's just a very, very ominous kind of thing. Say, oh, it's just a, oh, just give them your identification. You get on the airplane. But, but this is, once they get the system in place and people have been kind of inoculated against liberty, well, okay, let's try it.
[00:44:07] This next, it might be tied to a health deal, like a vaccine passport, ultimately and finally. And you know, the World Health Organization is really pushing for that. And if, if they get their way, and of course Trump's trying to, or saying he's going to get us out of that. But, but let's just say that that is a worldwide kind of thing. And they said, well, let's just tie it to this real ID thing. You know, we can, we can put this in our system and we can watch who got the vax. Okay. And you know what, you know what, happy ever after story that's turned into for everybody. Holy. Yeah.
[00:44:37] We haven't seen nothing. We'll send you to the next world sooner than you want to go. Yeah. You don't need a passport into that, right? Well, I don't know. They'll try to work out something for sure. But I also find that interesting when we talk about this real ID act and everything else. I mean, doesn't that stand against everything Trump has claimed he stands for? Well, it does, but you know, he's a statist anyway. I mean, literally, I mean, he goes out and starts wars, you know, willy nilly and all that kind of stuff. He, he, he just,
[00:45:04] he usurps constitutional authority that's not his when he, when he rules by fiat, by executive order. I mean, this kind of stuff, he got rid of national public radio. Okay. We talk about that for a while too, be it based on a fiat order or the health, I mean, not health department, education department. Well, all of those are, were created unconstitutionally, of course, by, by the legislature. And,
[00:45:33] and so he is the executive is now ruling by the stroke of a pen. All of this stuff is wrong. And people need to understand that. Holy cow. We talked fast, Sam, because there's so many areas. It's insane. I know. It's just, it's just, uh, okay. Texas governor, Greg Abbott. And what I'm finding, Dr. Bradley is this. Every story that I find,
[00:46:00] it's hard to know whether you should be for it or get against it. And let me explain what I mean. I would be against a lot of these things based on the separation of powers, based on constitutional authority. Okay. Based on proper procedures in America. But a lot of times we want to bypass those. And then we want to celebrate. So Trump signs an executive order to shut down the education department. Wow. Everybody's celebrating, but he can't shut down anything like that without the Congress.
[00:46:30] He just can't. So it's a good executive order, but it's relatively meaningless. Well, the same thing's true with this story. Texas governor, Greg Abbott signs school vouchers into law. And at first people are going, yeah, freedom of the school choice, man, we got choice. It's a tremendous win. I don't know how much of a win it is to me. It's just a different way. They're going to pretend they're for Liberty, but sink their teeth into education. Now the homeschoolers and everybody else who's a sucker for that money.
[00:47:00] First off, it won't turn off the spigot of money in any way. All it'll do is get everybody on the dole. And it's kind of like how they did the, the, you know, sex education thing. Well, Hey, let's shut it down. Well, okay. If we can't shut it down, let's get abstinence only education. But now the abstinence only education, people are begging for money as much as everybody else. Have we won or lost? This is the same reality check, right? You know, our family was on the bleeding edge of the homeschool movement. Everybody, well, our own families, I mean, our extended,
[00:47:30] our moms and dads and our relatives thought the SWAT team was going to come in and kill my wife and I and take our kids into some kind of care. And, it was, it was kind of a dicey kind of thing. Everybody thought we were on the bleeding edge of everything. We were, I guess, but, but homeschool now has become more popular. So what they're doing is they're capturing that movement. It's kind of like the nine 11 movement or nine 12 or whatever the heck these tea party guys and everything.
[00:47:57] There's always somebody trying to capture the movement with their, uh, with their approach and get at the head of the parade and be the drum major or whatever they are. And, and they, the fact is that, uh, you accept their nickel, you accept their noose. Uh, that's a saying we had when I was a kid. I don't know the origins of it or anything. The idea was if you somehow accept their, you know, whatever they're offering you, you get, you get a noose around your neck and they lead you around. Well, that's the thing.
[00:48:26] There is no way in all creation that I and my wife would have ever accepted government funding to do our homeschooling operation. We had a homeschool co-op. We did with the other parents and so on. We converted our basement into a school. Anyway, that's a whole long story too. But the fact of the matter is, if you accept their money, you're being bought off. And I've seen this happen here. It's like, oh, let us help you with your homeschooling. We'll give you a computer.
[00:48:56] We can have your child learn on a computer. Oh, we have a website you can go on. Oh, we have programs that you have available here. Pretty soon, they've just completely absorbed what you thought was a grand and glorious way of, of keeping your kids out of the clutches of the indoctrination center. Tenth point of the communist manifesto. I mean, think about that for a minute. And it's, oh, are you certified? Why do I care?
[00:49:20] Why do I care if you're certified by a secular humanist socialist organization that preaches a divine religion that has no divine? I mean, come on, do your own thing. People don't be sucked in by this. And I, you know, really, there's no free money. So you might've heard that it's called a lunch, you know, no free lunch. You're going to end up having some kind of,
[00:49:47] shall we say absorption that if you stopped and thought about it is really, really, oh, but I, we need the money. We homeschooled our kids on a pittance of what the public education system would have. And they turned out more educated folks. The proof is in the pudding. Yes, indeed. But Dr. Badley's right. You know what? If you accept their nickel, you accept their noose, put that in contact with Greg Abbott signs school vouchers into law. I'm telling you right now,
[00:50:16] don't take them folks. They will eventually control your education. They will eventually. And, and if you're not very careful, they'll play games too. If you take money, they'll be like, oh, we overpaid you. Now you owe a bunch of money or whatever the case may be. It's a control mechanism. People don't die. Don't believe the lie. Don't fall for it. Don't just don't go along. We need to stop this. So I appreciate that they're celebrating it as a school choice win. And what a lot of the school choice people say is, Hey, if they're going to give the money, at least let me homeschool. It's better for my kids in a short term view. You may be correct.
[00:50:46] And it's better to homeschool your kids than government school. The problem is that pretty soon you'll be kind of like the, the folks in the sex education thing, the abstinence only people are begging for their pittance to the pie. And look, they've been compromised. They've been co-opted. And now they're not really trying to shut down the education dollar, going to sex education. They're just hoping to make their piece bigger. That's all they're doing now. See how they've been defunct and manipulated and betrayed. That's what's going on. And I don't know any way to avoid that hard discussion.
[00:51:15] I know people are going to call me up and attack me left and right and go, you don't know what you're talking about. How dare you? It's way better that we have the money and direct it where we need. It's better that we shut off the spigot people. That's all I'm saying, doctor. Well, the, the education system for lack of better terms in America is hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of billions of dollars. It's just not the national education association or the, or the department of education. And it's not just your state board of education,
[00:51:44] your county, you know, education districts. This is hundreds of billions of dollars. Our county just improved. I don't remember the number exactly, but it was like a hundred and thirty million dollar bond. We haven't even got the last bonds paid off. And, and I think this is tied by the way into the illegal immigration thing. We've just added a couple of new high schools and probably a dozen. I don't know the number exactly.
[00:52:11] A dozen new elementary schools and junior high schools and so on. But, but it's because of the influx. We are a, basically a sanctuary community. And, and so hundreds of millions of dollars put in on 20 year bonds. And we won't get those paid off before we sign up for new ones. And it just is an ongoing. It's a travesty, a total travesty. So yeah, it's,
[00:52:40] you can do it better. Who cares more about your kids than you? Honesty. Grandma, grandpa, who cares more about your grandkids than you? And you can't send a hireling sheepherder to take care of what the sheepherder used to take care of when there is flock. Yeah. And that's where Congress has kind of gotten their lead from with the American people have basically shirked a lot of our responsibilities and,,
[00:53:18] well, I get his frustration. At the end of the day, it's Congress. They've done what the people have done, right? Well, we, the people are pushing off onto somebody else. We want, yeah, we want to feed it the trough and we want somebody else to pay for it. And, you know, I don't pay as much as I get out of it. You know, I mean, that's kind of the mentality. And it's, it's really tragic. Sooner or later, we ultimately pay more than we would have or should have had we done it the right way. Well, that's the moral of the story, ladies and gentlemen, we're talking to Dr.

[00:54:17] And it's a big old shame where Donald Trump's back in the real ID act, shoving it down your throat. Two days. We've got a tiny window to voice and express our opposition, but be polite, be peaceful, be insistent so we can get the job done. Remember, if you accept their nickel, you accept their noose. Dr. Scott Bradley, quoting an old quote from long ago. Thanks for being alongside with the ride. Our website, lovingliberty.net. Spread the word. God save our republic. Look.
