[00:00:12] Broadcasting live from atop the Rocky Mountains, the crossroads of the West, you are listening to the Liberty Roundtable Radio Talk Show.

[00:00:25] All right. Happy to have you along, my fellow Americans, Sam Bushman, live on your radio.

[00:00:32] Hard-hitting news the network refused to use, no doubt, starts now.

[00:00:35] This, my fellow Americans, is the broadcast for January the 9th in the year of our Lord, 2025.

[00:00:43] This is Hour 1 of 2 and the goal always to protect life, liberty, and property, to promote God, family, and country,

[00:00:49] to do so on your radio in the traditions of our founding fathers.

[00:00:52] Yes, indeed, ladies and gentlemen, we use the blueprint for liberty, the supreme law of the land,

[00:00:56] the Constitution for the United States of America.

[00:00:58] That is our guide.

[00:01:00] And absolutely reject revolution, unless it's a Jesus revolution.

[00:01:04] Then we're in because we follow the Prince of Peace.

[00:01:07] There's so much going on, ladies and gentlemen.

[00:01:09] Wow. I don't even know where to start with the news.

[00:01:12] Let's just kick it off and say this.

[00:01:15] The wildfires are out of control in California.

[00:01:18] And the debate rages on Donald Trump blaming all the Democrats.

[00:01:22] The mayor out of Los Angeles, not even there, off in some African, whatever.

[00:01:28] You know, now getting criticized.

[00:01:30] Mayor not responding when reporters are asking hard questions.

[00:01:33] I mean, the Democrats right this very second are taking a beating from Kamala to Joe to the mayor of California,

[00:01:39] right on down to the governor of California, and it goes on and on and on and on.

[00:01:43] The Democrats seem to be on the ropes in the boxing match, if you will.

[00:01:47] But I don't really find it too fair.

[00:01:50] And let me explain what I mean by that.

[00:01:52] I agree the Democrats are off the rails.

[00:01:54] They're full of DEI stuff.

[00:01:57] You know, diversity, equity, inclusion, all that kind of stuff.

[00:01:59] They're full of all kinds of extreme socialist agendas.

[00:02:03] But you know what?

[00:02:04] The Republicans aren't far behind the Democrats.

[00:02:07] The Republicans act like, oh, man, they're all running things proper and stuff.

[00:02:10] You know, it isn't true.

[00:02:12] We're $36 trillion in debt, ladies and gentlemen, as a country,

[00:02:16] and that doesn't even count unfunded liabilities at this point.

[00:02:20] It's more like $200 trillion if you really study reality and the unfunded liabilities

[00:02:24] and commitments we've made and everything else.

[00:02:26] We're sending money overseas like it's going out of style.

[00:02:29] Joe's just off his rock crazy.

[00:02:32] But yet there's no accountability for the deep state.

[00:02:34] There's no accountability for criminals, whether they're Republican or Democrat.

[00:02:38] George Bush is the one that spied on all the American people back in the day.

[00:02:42] The Republicans are responsible just as much for the Federal Reserve fake money fiat system.

[00:02:47] They're just as responsible for the education fiascos.

[00:02:50] They're just as responsible for the $36 trillion in debt.

[00:02:54] So I appreciate that, you know, the Republicans like to talk conservative, like to talk fiscal responsibility,

[00:03:02] like to protect, but every time they get in power, they fail.

[00:03:04] Go look at the Republican freshman revolution of 1994.

[00:03:09] Newt Gingrich melted down in scandal.

[00:03:11] It was a disaster.

[00:03:12] Didn't go well at all.

[00:03:14] Republicans have taken control more than once.

[00:03:16] Whenever they take control of the House, the Senate, the White House, all they do is complain and go,

[00:03:20] we have such a slim majority that we can't get anything done.

[00:03:23] No, what you've got is betrayers in your ranks.

[00:03:27] If you were, if you had solidarity, if you stuck together, a slim majority would be fine.

[00:03:32] It's that your slim majority is full of betrayers.

[00:03:36] And so you've got this Republican side that we, you know, spent the time casting such a, quote, big Republican tent

[00:03:43] that now you've got so many betrayers that are really Democrats,

[00:03:45] wolves in sheep's clothing in the Republican Party doing you damage, doing you dirt.

[00:03:51] Selling you short, right?

[00:03:53] And so just to prove the point, hey, who's responsible for Obamacare?

[00:03:58] Well, it started with Mitt Romney in Massachusetts.

[00:04:00] Believe it or not, it should be Romneycare.

[00:04:02] But they call it Obamacare because you got credit for pushing it through.

[00:04:05] It's a socialist, satanic, dishonest, immoral, unconstitutional program.

[00:04:10] Should be shut down immediately.

[00:04:12] Trump railed against it, rightly so.

[00:04:14] The Republicans railed against it when the Democrats had control, voted over 40 times to get rid of it.

[00:04:19] But the second they had control and had power, that's right, crickets, silence.

[00:04:27] They didn't do a dang thing.

[00:04:29] So this is what I mean by, you know, so I have a hard time blaming the Democrats for this.

[00:04:33] Is it incompetence with regards to these fires?

[00:04:36] Absolutely.

[00:04:37] Is it DEI at the helm?

[00:04:40] Without question.

[00:04:42] But is it socialism at the helm as well?

[00:04:45] Yes.

[00:04:45] Running all of our piggy banks dry.

[00:04:50] Okay.

[00:04:50] They spend money on everything they don't need to.

[00:04:53] And they never spend money on things that they ought to.

[00:04:55] If there's one legitimate, proper role of government, it would be to say, hey, you know what?

[00:05:01] We have a fire department.

[00:05:03] Because that's something that individuals can't really do themselves.

[00:05:06] Yeah, you can try to put out a fire yourself.

[00:05:08] But that's what fire hydrants are for.

[00:05:10] That's what city infrastructure is for.

[00:05:12] You know, I'm not a socialist.

[00:05:13] But I do agree that there needs to be some kind of cooperative efforts for services that you can't do yourself.

[00:05:19] Right?

[00:05:20] Plumbing and electricity and fire hydrants and things like that of this nature.

[00:05:25] Very difficult to handle by yourself.

[00:05:27] And I'm grateful that we're not left alone in that regard.

[00:05:30] I think there's a balance between absolute freedom and realistic freedom.

[00:05:37] If you don't believe me or you need to study about that, go read Bastiae's The Law for Greater Guidance.

[00:05:42] You've got to give up a little bit of your freedom for a cooperative, for involvement with others,

[00:05:48] which actually, believe it or not, maximizes freedom.

[00:05:51] Take the fire hydrant simple example to drive home the point.

[00:05:57] Individually, if a fire breaks out of my area, I'm just left with whatever water I can muster.

[00:06:02] And if I don't have any plumbing, if I don't have any, okay, I'm just at the mercy of that.

[00:06:07] Maybe blankets or whatever, and I can't stop a fire.

[00:06:10] Even if my neighbor caused it, or even if nature caused it or whatever, I'm at the mercy of that.

[00:06:16] I don't have a lot of freedom sitting on my porch with my gun on my lap defending my possessions

[00:06:21] while a fire rages through the area.

[00:06:24] I'm losing freedom fast, losing property, life, liberty, property fast, right?

[00:06:29] But if I cooperate and if I give up a little bit of freedom and have an associate organization

[00:06:37] called the proper rule of limited government, then now I can maximize freedom.

[00:06:41] Now there's going to be fire hydrants.

[00:06:42] There's guidelines and a little bit of rules and a little bit of cooperation to where,

[00:06:45] hey, they can put that thing out.

[00:06:47] Well, they don't have water in the fire hydrants because they went psychotic with this

[00:06:51] environmental wackoism about global warming or whatever.

[00:06:54] We got to protect the turtles.

[00:06:55] We got to this.

[00:06:56] We got to that.

[00:06:57] Just this whacked out crazy idea.

[00:06:59] And now the fire hydrants in L.A. are running dry.

[00:07:02] Complete incompetence from the mayor.

[00:07:04] It's just a disaster.

[00:07:07] Wildfires in Los Angeles spread to Hollywood, prompting the evacuation of over 100,000 people.

[00:07:17] Yournews.com with the piece.

[00:07:18] They say that, believe it or not, 1,000 plus homes are already destroyed.

[00:07:24] Now LAPD warns against looting.

[00:07:26] I don't mean to be rude about that, but it's kind of comical.

[00:07:29] What are they going to do if you loot?

[00:07:32] They're the ones that want to lay off the cops.

[00:07:34] They're the ones that these D.E.I. whacked out Democrats, psychotic socialists, do nothing,

[00:07:41] want to jump in front of the parade and get credit and fame and fortune and prosperity at the expense of the rest of us,

[00:07:46] selling us all south.

[00:07:48] These clowns are the ones that wanted to defund the cops.

[00:07:50] Now they're like, hey, LAPD, don't you dare loot.

[00:07:55] They're warning against looting and saying, hey, you know, other people are being arrested for this.

[00:07:59] And I agree, you shouldn't loot.

[00:08:01] I get it.

[00:08:02] But you're not going to do very well at one side of your mouth.

[00:08:04] You're saying defund the cops.

[00:08:05] And on the other side, you're saying the LAPD is going to make sure you don't loot.

[00:08:09] There'll be no water in the fire hydrants and there'll be no cops on the streets if they had their way, right?

[00:08:13] It's disaster.

[00:08:16] California's insurance now is in crisis.

[00:08:20] The solution will cost owners a ton.

[00:08:23] And this is really what I think is worthy of discussion a little bit more here.

[00:08:26] You've got a situation where, man, are you going to insure a home where you know that government has literally made sure that

[00:08:35] over a little whacked out fish out in the sea?

[00:08:38] They're not going to have water in the fire hydrants.

[00:08:42] You're not going to insure that home with no infrastructure to protect that home.

[00:08:46] That's what society is for.

[00:08:48] That's what cooperative or that's what the proper role of government is.

[00:08:53] It's not to give women the ability to murder their babies and promote and fund abortion, Planned Parenthood style.

[00:09:00] It's not for diversity, equity, and inclusion to somehow use the Peter principle and graduate people way beyond their knowledge set,

[00:09:08] way beyond their values and capabilities and everything else.

[00:09:12] It's not to promote fame and fortune and illegal immigration and all this.

[00:09:19] It's to protect the citizenry of the greatest country on the face of the earth.

[00:09:23] That's the proper role of limited government, right?

[00:09:26] So while they can't even educate folks, they can't keep the fire hydrants with water,

[00:09:31] they can't do all kinds of social things like take Johnny and tell him he's a girl and give him drugs

[00:09:38] and put him under the knife and try to turn him into a girl or Tina into a boy.

[00:09:44] And, okay, this has got to stop.

[00:09:46] We've got to go back to the senses.

[00:09:48] We've got to go back to what works.

[00:09:50] God-ordained families are the key to the exercise.

[00:09:53] Look, your society will never be stronger than your families, people.

[00:09:56] I'm telling you that right now.

[00:09:57] And a family is defined as a husband and a wife, legally lawfully married, welcoming children.

[00:10:04] Now you say, Sam, that isn't reality.

[00:10:06] All families aren't like that.

[00:10:07] I know.

[00:10:10] I know.

[00:10:10] I get it.

[00:10:11] But let's not pretend that the ideal should be overlooked.

[00:10:17] What we need to do is hold up the ideal and say this is the best scenario.

[00:10:21] God wanted a man and a woman, legally and lawfully wedded, with fidelity to one another, welcoming children.

[00:10:27] That's the greatest environment for a family, for anybody, for husbands, for wives, for fathers, for mothers,

[00:10:34] for grandmothers, grandfathers, for children, for grandchildren, for everybody.

[00:10:39] That's the fundamental unit of society that has withstood the test of time.

[00:10:43] That's the ideal.

[00:10:44] I get that we live in the real and we fall short.

[00:10:46] We must make alternative plans and things don't work out perfect.

[00:10:49] I get it.

[00:10:49] But let's not lose sight of the ideal, okay?

[00:10:52] We're going to continue talking about this in seconds.

[00:10:54] We'll add Brian Russ to the mix on your radio.

[00:13:14] Now it's FreeWaterCoinCo.com.

[00:13:17] Check it out.

[00:13:17] You got a friend in the honest money business.

[00:13:19] Brian, welcome back to the broadcast, sir.

[00:13:22] Hey, thanks, Sam.

[00:13:23] Good to be with you today.

[00:13:24] Thank you.

[00:13:25] So we're talking today about these wildfires.

[00:13:29] And I'm basically explaining how psychotic it is that we have all these, you know, diversity, equity, and inclusion stuff.

[00:13:37] We want to defund the cops.

[00:13:39] We want to withhold water from fire hydrants over some fish.

[00:13:44] We've just lost our minds on some of these topics.

[00:13:48] We've got to go back to fundamentals.

[00:13:50] And I submit to you that it starts with the family.

[00:13:52] Okay, a God-ordained family with a husband and a wife, legally and lawfully married, one male, one female together, welcoming children to that marriage.

[00:14:02] Study after study after study after study.

[00:14:05] The evidence is there.

[00:14:07] That is the best framework for everyone.

[00:14:10] For husbands and wives, fathers and mothers, grandfathers, grandmothers, children, everyone.

[00:14:16] There is no exception.

[00:14:18] Every study bears that out.

[00:14:20] Now, I get that's the ideal, and families oftentimes fall short of that.

[00:14:24] Many people are alone.

[00:14:26] Many people are divorced.

[00:14:27] But I get the struggles, and I get that, you know, life is messy.

[00:14:31] But first off, we can't lose sight of the ideal, Brian.

[00:14:37] Yeah, I agree, Sam.

[00:14:38] Well, look where our country is as a result of that.

[00:14:42] I mean, we have so many broken homes.

[00:14:43] We have so many that, you know, just whacked out ideas.

[00:14:49] Common sense.

[00:14:50] We've talked about that over the years.

[00:14:52] Common sense is just out the window for certain agendas.

[00:14:56] So it just seems like it's clutter.

[00:15:00] It's about just cluttering our lives with so much, so much, I want to say crap.

[00:15:06] I don't know if that's the word I really need, but so many things.

[00:15:10] But instead of just, you know, focusing on things that really matter, things that matter most.

[00:15:14] And family would be obviously right there at the top.

[00:15:18] God, God.

[00:15:19] I look at that, and I say, we've got to look at God.

[00:15:21] We've got to use the fundamental family.

[00:15:23] But I look at what's going on here, and what the Republicans want to do is blame the Democrats and go,

[00:15:28] the Democrats are totally incompetent.

[00:15:30] That's why you don't have water in the fire hydrants.

[00:15:31] They're crazy.

[00:15:32] Well, that's true.

[00:15:34] But it isn't the whole story.

[00:15:36] And I mentioned before the break that, you know, we're $36 trillion in debt.

[00:15:41] And that doesn't even count the unfunded liabilities.

[00:15:43] That's not just Democrats.

[00:15:45] That's Republicans, too.

[00:15:46] The DEI stuff.

[00:15:48] Hey, that's been funded by Congress.

[00:15:50] Republicans, too.

[00:15:51] The Homeland Security and all these different things.

[00:15:54] The Patriot Act and the FISA courts.

[00:15:57] Republicans were just as involved in this as the Democrats.

[00:16:00] Republicans said, let's abolish Obamacare.

[00:16:03] But yet they voted against it 40 times when they had no control.

[00:16:06] Once they got control, they didn't touch it.

[00:16:08] And so I don't want this to be misplaced blame or, you know, sleight of hand and misdirection here.

[00:16:15] We've got to step back and step away from all these crazy ideas.

[00:16:19] You don't want to defund the cops because then when you have fires, people are going to start looting.

[00:16:23] And you want the cops to stop the looting, right?

[00:16:26] Okay.

[00:16:26] There's fundamentals that I think we can all agree on.

[00:16:29] And let's just stop this psychotic idea that Johnny's going to be a girl.

[00:16:33] Tina's going to be a boy.

[00:16:35] Over fish, we're not going to have water to stop fires.

[00:16:38] Okay.

[00:16:39] We've got to come to common sense on this stuff.

[00:16:42] And I hope we can set aside our differences and get that done.

[00:16:46] Otherwise, what's it going to look like in 20 years, Brian?

[00:16:49] Well, that's it.

[00:16:50] I think, you know, it's a scary thought.

[00:16:52] If we keep kicking the can down the road where we're going, it's a scary thought.

[00:16:56] I mean, you look at our kids and what's the chances that they're going to have.

[00:17:01] And if there's so much conflict between, you know, these parties, it kind of starts at the top and then it kind of stems down into the, you know, society and family and so on.

[00:17:13] And I think the lifeblood of our country is family.

[00:17:16] And so if we destroy the family, which that's Satan's plan is to just destroy the family, broken homes and just destroy it.

[00:17:24] And, you know, we just, you watch these parents who kill their kids suicide because they can't survive in life, I guess.

[00:17:33] You know, I don't know what the answer is there, but it's just wrong.

[00:17:36] And yet you're right here.

[00:17:38] I think when we start talking about defunding police, why would we do that?

[00:17:44] I mean, yeah, I guess those people that I don't want anybody to tell me what to do and I don't have to obey any kind of law.

[00:17:50] Well, that's chaotic.

[00:17:52] And we have a society because we have laws that we adhere to.

[00:17:57] But the issue, too, is the fact when you take us back to the top, our leaders are fighting amongst themselves.

[00:18:05] They don't want to, well, your law is no good and my law is better and da-da-da-da-da, back and forth.

[00:18:10] But you can't, you know, you can't take away things that really matter and help create a society as a whole.

[00:18:19] And I think that's what we've done.

[00:18:21] And so now it's we have all kinds of issues.

[00:18:24] And my point is we maximize freedom, Brian, when we give up a little bit of freedom.

[00:18:28] I can sit on my porch with my gun on my lap and say I'm totally free.

[00:18:31] But when a fire starts rifling through our neighborhood or whatever else, hey, I can't really put it out by myself.

[00:18:36] I don't have enough water and resources.

[00:18:37] And so there is an appropriate let's give up a little bit of liberty to cooperate with one another to maximize freedom and maximize liberty.

[00:18:45] To me, a fire hydrant on the corner is one of the most basic of government services.

[00:18:50] They literally in one of the biggest cities in America, it's like the second largest city or something like that with four million people in it.

[00:18:58] And I kind of go, OK, well, they can't even deal with that fundamental basic need of a city.

[00:19:06] What's more important than electricity and plumbing for an organized society to provide anything?

[00:19:13] Well, I think we definitely want that.

[00:19:16] We want those amenities.

[00:19:17] We all want those amenities.

[00:19:18] But also as a good human being and a neighbor that I have next to me, I don't I don't hope the worst for my neighbor and that his house.

[00:19:27] You know, if are all our homes burned down, are we all standing out there communicating amongst ourselves and just what happened?

[00:19:33] What do we do from here?

[00:19:34] And we rally together.

[00:19:36] Those are the kind of things that happen.

[00:19:38] And it's forced to happen.

[00:19:39] Well, if we if we if even before the fire start, if we're bad neighbors and we're attacking, don't touch me.

[00:19:46] Don't touch my property.

[00:19:47] Don't step across my line.

[00:19:48] We're not we're not being very civil.

[00:19:50] And and and it becomes chaotic.

[00:19:53] And so as a community, yeah, we got to work together.

[00:19:56] If we're going to survive, we need to work together and have a good common plan.

[00:20:01] And that's why we we vote these leaders in and hopefully they they maintain and do the right thing so that we can have civility.

[00:20:09] We can worship the way we'd like.

[00:20:11] We can be friends and help each other.

[00:20:13] I mean, it's it's service is a big, huge part of our community as well.

[00:20:17] So there's a lot of things that, you know, I digress a little bit because when we talk about money, I mean, we're spending money recklessly.

[00:20:26] We're shipping it to other countries.

[00:20:28] Let's help them and help.

[00:20:29] You know, when we've got cities within our and states within our the United States that are bankrupt.

[00:20:36] So we've got a lot of issues ourselves.

[00:20:38] But, you know, we can't we're not going to solve them all today.

[00:20:41] But we hopefully we can solve some of this stuff.

[00:20:43] Well, I read a lot of business books because I'm an IT professional and I'm, you know, in all kinds of boardrooms for different reasons.

[00:20:50] And, you know, IT guys oftentimes get put in places where maybe they don't belong with the top brass, but because everybody depends on IT so much, they end up there anyway.

[00:20:59] Right.

[00:21:00] Anyway, so I end up at a lot of meetings and I hear a lot of stuff and I'm involved in a lot of things.

[00:21:04] And I end up getting, you know, expressing opinions to corporations on all kind of things.

[00:21:09] And anyway, as I read these business books, one principle that I've really gravitated to that I really think has merit is it's called a no blame autopsy.

[00:21:20] A no blame autopsy.

[00:21:23] What that means is when something goes wrong, when something goes south, when something doesn't measure up.

[00:21:29] So it needs review.

[00:21:32] You can start playing the blame game.

[00:21:34] Donald pointing at, you know, the governor and the mayor over there in California going, you guys are liberal wackos.

[00:21:38] You guys cause this.

[00:21:39] And that's just not helpful.

[00:21:41] We're not gaining any ground.

[00:21:42] We're just playing the blame game.

[00:21:44] Somebody else's fault.

[00:21:45] And I agree that it's not Donald Trump's fault unnecessarily.

[00:21:48] He doesn't live there.

[00:21:49] He's whatever.

[00:21:50] I get it.

[00:21:51] But at the same time, the no blame autopsy principle says this.

[00:21:54] Let's discover what's wrong without pointing fingers.

[00:21:58] And let's put together a solution to remedy that wrong without pointing fingers.

[00:22:04] And let's see if we can't set aside all of our opinions, all of our blame, all of our thoughts, and do a no blame autopsy.

[00:22:10] We're going to dig in.

[00:22:11] We're going to overturn every stone.

[00:22:14] We're going to leave no stone unturned.

[00:22:16] We're going to get to the bottom of this thing.

[00:22:18] At the same time, we're going to put together a solution.

[00:22:20] And then we're going to spend our time uniting to solve this problem based on the solution.

[00:22:27] We're going to take everybody's input on the solution.

[00:22:29] We're going to build the blueprint.

[00:22:31] At some point, it's going to be discussion time.

[00:22:33] And then when the discussion's over, here's the plan we've come up with.

[00:22:35] All right, let's execute.

[00:22:38] Can't we do that in L.A. right now and say our problem is we don't have water and fire hydrants when fires come?

[00:22:44] And so this problem is made a thousand times worse because we don't have the resources to stop this horrible thing.

[00:22:51] Can't we do a no blame autopsy, come up with a solution, and just focus on the answer, Brian?

[00:22:56] Am I crazy?

[00:22:58] No, you're not crazy, Sam.

[00:23:00] I think you're right.

[00:23:01] You've hit it right on the head.

[00:23:03] And that's exactly what we need to do.

[00:23:07] Hopefully they'll come together.

[00:23:08] I mean, this is forcing them, I hope, to come together peacefully so that we can solve some of these issues.

[00:23:14] Otherwise, it's not going to just be California.

[00:23:17] It's going to be, you know, we're going to hit every state.

[00:23:20] And these fires are going to continue and just different things to that effect.

[00:23:24] But we need to work together, find some common ground.

[00:23:27] And there's so many people right now that are just hurting because they've just lost their home and everything they have in their home.

[00:23:36] I mean, you know, there has to be some civility here.

[00:23:39] And we pray that we can, you know, come together like you say.

[00:23:43] We need to put you on board, Sam.

[00:23:46] Anyway, all I'm telling you is it seems to me this is so simple.

[00:23:49] Like, I don't care right now if my house is in jeopardy.

[00:23:53] Who's at fault?

[00:23:55] All I want to do is figure out what do we have to do to make sure this does not repeat.

[00:24:00] Otherwise, the insurance companies are out.

[00:24:03] Homeowners are going to be out.

[00:24:04] I mean, how many people, if there's 100,000 people that have had to flee their homes now,

[00:24:08] how many people are just going to flat out leave the state of California?

[00:24:11] How many of them are business owners?

[00:24:13] So businesses are going to leave.

[00:24:15] This is disaster for the second largest city in the country.

[00:24:19] And all I hear is blame running around.

[00:24:22] When we come back, we'll finish talking about that.

[00:24:24] We'll talk about honest money.

[00:24:25] We'll talk about currency and inflation, where constitutional currency is in relation to everything else.

[00:24:30] We'll get the update on that.

[00:24:31] You're listening to Liberty Roundtable Live with Brian Rust.

[00:24:35] Ladies and gentlemen, you have a friend in the honest money business.

[00:25:03] I'm Jason Walker.

[00:25:04] If you had any doubts about it being winter, well, think again.

[00:25:08] Temperatures this morning, international falls 14 degrees below zero.

[00:25:12] Chicago is a little warmer.

[00:25:13] Temperatures are only in the lower teens.

[00:25:15] Minneapolis, temperatures are right around zero.

[00:25:17] So very cold air across parts of the Dakotas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa.

[00:25:21] Pretty typical temperatures for a very cold air mass at the moment.

[00:25:26] Not a lot of records there.

[00:25:27] Bob Orovac, lead forecaster with the National Weather Service.

[00:25:30] A lot of cold air in place across the country.

[00:25:32] It's really setting up the potential for a pretty, very impactful storm.

[00:25:36] Anywhere from the plains into the lower Missouri Valley, Mississippi Valley, Ohio Valley,

[00:25:41] and eventually into the east United States over the next several days.

[00:25:44] And late today, parts of eastern Kansas and Missouri up to 8 to 12 inches of snow in bitterly cold conditions.

[00:25:53] Also at townhall.com, Congress notified by the Biden administration of a planned $8 billion weapon sale to Israel.

[00:26:03] The sale includes medium-range air-to-air missiles to help Israel defend against airborne threats,

[00:26:10] 155-millimeter projectile artillery shells for long-range targeting,

[00:26:15] Hellfire AGM-114 missiles, 500-pound bombs, and more.

[00:26:20] It would add to a record of around $18 billion in military aid that the U.S. has provided Israel since the war began more than a year ago.

[00:26:30] I'm Julie Walker.

[00:26:31] Police in Denmark are investigating a report of some 20 drones over the port of Kij, just southwest of Copenhagen.

[00:26:40] Police had been called to the site by a witness who claimed to have seen the drones that later disappeared at a very high rate of speed.

[00:26:48] Police are trying to determine who owns the drones as no permission had been issued for the drone flights in that area.

[00:30:13] Casting live from atop the Rocky Mountains, the crossroads of the West,

[00:30:18] you are listening to the Liberty Roundtable Radio Talk Show.

[00:30:24] Yeah, what we need, ladies and gentlemen, is a no-blame autopsy.

[00:30:29] Yeah, about these fires in California.

[00:30:31] You know, they say cops, you know, want to tell everybody not to loot,

[00:30:34] but if you don't fund the cops, you don't have any cops to enforce anything.

[00:30:38] California's insurance is in crisis.

[00:30:39] We can play the blame game, or what we need is a no-blame autopsy, in my humble opinion.

[00:30:44] What is that, you say?

[00:30:45] An autopsy without blame seeks to understand what happened and why without pointing fingers at individuals.

[00:30:56] The benefit to this approach?

[00:30:59] Promotes a culture of learning and continuous improvement, rather than a fear-based environment, ladies and gentlemen,

[00:31:09] where blame discourages decisions and initiative.

[00:31:15] Okay, what we need is initiative and decisions right now.

[00:31:17] These people need, like, water in their fire hydrants.

[00:31:21] Okay?

[00:31:22] And so I'm just saying, Brian, we've got to set aside all this baloney and just say,

[00:31:28] listen, everybody agrees that we need water to stop the fire.

[00:31:32] How do we get that done?

[00:31:33] Put together a plan?

[00:31:36] Turn into Operation Execute.

[00:31:38] Okay, I don't see anybody on the national stage saying this kind of stuff.

[00:31:42] I just see the Democrats going, yeah, this is horrible.

[00:31:46] And they're saying nothing because they're under fire.

[00:31:49] And the Republicans are going all out, you know, both barrels at the Democrats.

[00:31:53] What good is that going to do?

[00:31:54] These poor people, the insurance companies, everybody involved is suffering from this.

[00:32:00] And it seems like an intelligent set-aside-differences approach, a cooperative approach, is the only answer here, isn't it?

[00:32:11] Yeah, they've got to do it.

[00:32:13] And, you know, they're kind of pushed to this now instead of, you know, we kind of talk, or I've mentioned,

[00:32:18] and I'm sure you've done the same, is preparation is peace of mind.

[00:32:21] And, you know, instead of planning ahead, I mean, California's had cities burn down as well in the past.

[00:32:28] And so I don't know if they had a goal or if they had discussed, okay, this could happen to other cities,

[00:32:34] or what do we need to do to fix this problem going forward?

[00:32:40] And I don't know.

[00:32:40] Maybe they are in that point.

[00:32:42] I don't know that for a fact.

[00:32:43] But, you know, you do know the sense of they, you know, are they bankrupt?

[00:32:48] Do they not have the money to do this?

[00:32:49] I mean, there's so many issues that you look at.

[00:32:51] But right now, their face today, it's hitting them right in the face.

[00:32:54] It's not, okay, I wish we would have done something yesterday.

[00:32:57] But today, this is where we're at.

[00:32:59] And so, obviously, going forward, you know, there needs to be a plan.

[00:33:04] They need to work together.

[00:33:05] And hopefully, they can solve this.

[00:33:07] Another issue, you know, you start thinking, okay, looting.

[00:33:10] You talk about looting and these groups that just go in.

[00:33:13] And yet, it seems like we've stepped away.

[00:33:15] If we don't have police in place or we don't have order in place, you know,

[00:33:20] we allow some of these gangs, these groups who could care less about anybody else,

[00:33:25] they're just going to damage or go in and destroy somebody else's property

[00:33:30] so that they can gain themselves.

[00:33:32] And so, there's a lot of factors that go into this whole thing.

[00:33:37] In my humble opinion, there's a proper role, a limited role for government.

[00:33:41] What should they be doing and what is their purpose?

[00:33:44] Put that together from a budgetary standpoint.

[00:33:46] In my opinion, the fire department is one of the most crucial,

[00:33:50] valuable purposes of the proper role of government.

[00:33:53] And then let's let the churches and let private organizations and philanthropists.

[00:33:58] For example, most of these people losing their homes are super rich.

[00:34:02] The celebrities are all beside themselves on, you know, social and everything else going,

[00:34:07] oh, man, this is horrible.

[00:34:08] We've lost our house.

[00:34:09] And don't get me wrong, I feel bad for those people.

[00:34:13] But as sad as it is for them to lose their things,

[00:34:15] many of those people that are very wealthy, I mean, look,

[00:34:18] they can just get another house somewhere else.

[00:34:20] They're not really in that big of jeopardy.

[00:34:21] It's tragic, don't get me wrong.

[00:34:23] But at the same time, I don't know that I need to help out Paris Hilton

[00:34:27] or somebody like that.

[00:34:28] What can I do for them, right?

[00:34:32] I mean, I can pray for them.

[00:34:33] I can help put together the proper role of limited government

[00:34:36] so this doesn't happen again.

[00:34:38] Other than that, though, I mean, they're on their own

[00:34:39] and they've got the wherewithal to take care of it.

[00:34:41] So anyway, I just find the whole dynamic quite interesting.

[00:34:46] Yeah, and there's no doubt about it.

[00:34:48] You know, I don't know what the simple answer is,

[00:34:49] but obviously you've hit it on the head where we've got to turn back to God.

[00:34:52] We've got to turn back to, you know, civility, making good choices

[00:34:57] and working together as a people.

[00:35:00] And family is so important.

[00:35:02] And I think everybody would say that.

[00:35:04] So common sense.

[00:35:06] Well, and to put a handle on runaway spending,

[00:35:08] I'd recommend returning to constitutional currency, Brian.

[00:35:10] Speaking of that, where's gold and silver sitting?

[00:35:12] Yeah, gold and silver.

[00:35:14] Let's see, gold's sitting at $26.75.40.

[00:35:20] Okay.

[00:35:20] And silver's $30.48.

[00:35:26] It seems like it's holding right there pretty steady,

[00:35:28] even though the stock market's bouncing all around and everything else.

[00:35:31] It just seems pretty stable.

[00:35:32] I mean, last week it wasn't much different, was it?

[00:35:36] No, it's up a little bit today and so on.

[00:35:38] But yeah, it is being stable.

[00:35:40] I mean, if you, you know, gold and silver shined in 2024

[00:35:43] because of all the, you know, things that were happening and so on,

[00:35:46] you know, and so on are, you know, realistically, you know,

[00:35:49] my added little tout is the fact that my quarter still gets me a gallon of gas,

[00:35:55] you know, and explain that principle, you know, the real value of money.

[00:35:59] And that silver quarter still gets me a gallon of gas.

[00:36:03] $20 gold tea still gets me, you know,

[00:36:05] a lot of value suits and various things as we look back.

[00:36:08] But a $20 bill, a quarter in your kill,

[00:36:11] a quarter in the kill won't get you a Coke.

[00:36:12] I mean, there's things like that.

[00:36:13] So if you understand kind of real money, it holds value and protects paper.

[00:36:21] Well, it reminds me of, you know,

[00:36:22] everybody wants to just focus on Bitcoin or some of the digital currencies.

[00:36:25] I kind of think we ought to just do a Gitcoin deal.

[00:36:28] Forget Bitcoin, let's do a Gitcoin where you actually get real coins,

[00:36:32] real constitutional currency, gold and silver, baby.

[00:36:35] And I think that can act as a hedge.

[00:36:38] I think it can act as a safety net.

[00:36:40] Whenever people are panicking,

[00:36:41] they flee to these safety kind of things.

[00:36:43] And, you know, what's hot right now?

[00:36:46] If I want gold or silver, what should I be looking at?

[00:36:48] Nickels?

[00:36:50] Yeah, nickels.

[00:36:51] We still have nickels that are, you know,

[00:36:54] very inexpensive and could work in your portfolio.

[00:36:58] We have some 1.5 ounce pieces that you're buying.

[00:37:02] They're government issue pieces,

[00:37:03] and you're buying those for just the silver round price,

[00:37:06] which is a good buy.

[00:37:07] Most government issues, you know, they're paying a premium.

[00:37:10] So hold on.

[00:37:11] These are one and a half ounce?

[00:37:13] Try ounce?

[00:37:14] Yeah, so they're 1.5 ounces in the coin itself,

[00:37:19] and they're government issue coins.

[00:37:21] Some people like the fact, okay, these are government issues.

[00:37:24] And what are those called?

[00:37:26] You have Canada puts out a number of varieties.

[00:37:29] They'll have wildlife series where there'll be a polar bear on one

[00:37:33] or, you know, an eagle on one or, you know, a ram

[00:37:37] or different things like that.

[00:37:39] And then other countries have done some of those things as well,

[00:37:43] some of these bigger, larger denominational.

[00:37:47] Instead of an ounce, they're 1.25.

[00:37:48] That's interesting.

[00:37:49] So 1.5 ounces of silver.

[00:37:51] Is that like $45 range?

[00:37:53] Yeah, I'd have to pull up and just see where they're at.

[00:37:56] But we're selling them at, so if you figure silver rounds,

[00:38:01] or rounds usually you're selling for a buck over or so

[00:38:04] or a buck and a half over or whatever they're doing of the paper price,

[00:38:09] then usually these, you could buy the same ounces,

[00:38:13] government issue ounces for the price of the round,

[00:38:16] as opposed to a silver eagle right now.

[00:38:18] You know, I think yesterday in bulk,

[00:38:20] they were around $35 or so for a silver eagle and higher.

[00:38:26] But, yeah, it's just that would be an option where some people –

[00:38:30] I like 90% because I like quarters, dimes, halves.

[00:38:33] It's easy to use.

[00:38:34] It's smaller denominations.

[00:38:37] It's well recognized.

[00:38:39] Yeah, we used to use it.

[00:38:40] It was coinage.

[00:38:42] You know, we used to spend it, you know,

[00:38:43] and carry around some mercury dimes or some walking liberty halves

[00:38:46] or Ben Franklin halves or, you know, or, you know,

[00:38:51] Kennedy halves or, you know, Washington quarters.

[00:38:55] It's just – those were things that we used.

[00:38:56] And so it's just like coinage other than it has silver in it

[00:39:00] and that value is maintaining.

[00:39:02] So it's – and in the 80s, I mean, R.C. Willie Smith gas station,

[00:39:06] they were all taking metal.

[00:39:07] Come in, buy gas, buy furniture, buy a truck, whatever you're going to do,

[00:39:11] you can do it using metal.

[00:39:13] And that's the same today that if you go in, you know,

[00:39:16] you can sometimes negotiate or there's places that will take it.

[00:39:20] So, yeah.

[00:39:22] What about gold?

[00:39:26] Gold – I mean, you look at gold and white – you know, gold is a coin

[00:39:31] that protects this paper.

[00:39:33] And so you look at all these countries who are protecting their currencies.

[00:39:38] Now, all current governments aren't doing that or trying to do what they can,

[00:39:42] but you look at China who's buying up a lot of gold.

[00:39:44] Russia just gave China a bunch in trade, gold, for oil or for other –

[00:39:50] for, you know, trading.

[00:39:52] And they use gold to fund their war, actually.

[00:39:55] They're using gold to purchase weapons and various, you know,

[00:39:59] and so these are things – our government, you know, has a stockpile of gold,

[00:40:05] but we've used a lot of our gold, and so we're kind of hurting, I would say, big time.

[00:40:14] But – well, we are.

[00:40:15] If we're trading – 100 trillion in debt, we're in trouble.

[00:40:18] But anyway, a lot of these countries, central banks, they buy up gold to protect their paper

[00:40:23] and to protect their wealth.

[00:40:28] I think that gold is hard for a lot of us to get much of.

[00:40:33] And I know, you know, a lot of times people would be like, well, you know,

[00:40:38] gold's where it's at.

[00:40:40] I think silver's the best buy for the average American, Brian.

[00:40:44] Yeah.

[00:40:45] Yeah.

[00:40:46] I agree.

[00:40:48] All right.

[00:40:48] Thank you so much.

[00:40:49] We know you've got to fly.

[00:43:21] That's why we talked about a no-blame autopsy.

[00:43:23] Check that out in the show notes coming up as we release the show after the broadcast today.

[00:43:27] On demand.

[00:43:28] Spread the word to all your loved ones.

[00:43:30] Let them all listen and kind of understand.

[00:43:32] We've got to set aside our differences, people.

[00:43:34] We've got to come together in America.

[00:43:36] By the way, the National Sheriff's Association, I'm not a fan of.

[00:43:40] The NSA is what they call it.

[00:43:42] National Sheriff's Association.

[00:43:46] But this is where I don't have, you know, personal opinions on these things separate from principle.

[00:43:55] So just because I'm not a fan of the NSA, the National Sheriff's Association, you know, some people would say, well, you never give them credit.

[00:44:03] You never give them praise because you don't like those people.

[00:44:05] You know what?

[00:44:06] I feel differently.

[00:44:08] I feel like whenever it's justified, you give somebody praise.

[00:44:10] Whenever it's not justified, you go against it and explain why based on principle, right?

[00:44:15] That's one of the key components of this show.

[00:44:17] And that's why this broadcast is different than almost any other show on the planet.

[00:44:21] Because it's not about people.

[00:44:22] It's about principle.

[00:44:23] We love people, but adhere to principle, right?

[00:44:27] And we may not agree with your actions, but we still don't want any harm to come to you.

[00:44:32] So there's a civility element to this, right?

[00:44:34] Well, anyway, the National Association of Sheriffs or National Sheriff's Association, they're right.

[00:44:42] It's called the NSA.

[00:44:44] Why are they right?

[00:44:46] They follow the lead of the CSPOA, the Constitutional Sheriff's and Peace Officers Association now.

[00:44:52] Yes, indeed.

[00:44:53] They endorsed Trump's nominee, Kash Patel, in becoming the next director of the FBI.

[00:45:03] And I commend the National Sheriff's Association for this.

[00:45:06] They're right.

[00:45:08] And I hope that they can become more and more aligned with the CSPOA.

[00:45:13] I hope they stand up more for the principles that make America great.

[00:45:17] Oftentimes, my criticism of the NSA is they don't really take on issues.

[00:45:21] They're involved in tactical training or, you know, they help you learn about products and services.

[00:45:27] And they rub shoulders, but they don't really stand on principle.

[00:45:32] Okay?

[00:45:32] It's not about politics.

[00:45:33] It's not making things political.

[00:45:35] It's based on principle.

[00:45:38] And it's not based on politics.

[00:45:40] It's based on morality.

[00:45:42] And so Kash Patel, hopefully, can clean up the FBI.

[00:45:45] Hopefully, can start working with sheriffs across the country.

[00:45:48] And I commend the National Sheriff's Association.

[00:45:51] I give them a little kudos because they deserve it.

[00:45:54] And that's why we've got to start to do that because, hey, we've got to stand up for what's right every time.

[00:46:00] And if the NSA is right on something, good on them.

[00:46:04] Hopefully, we can all do more of that in our lives where we give people credit where credit's due.

[00:46:09] You know, even a broken clock is right once in a while, right?

[00:46:15] All right.

[00:46:17] I've developed a term that I'm hoping to promote.

[00:46:21] And I really think Trump needs to use this term.

[00:46:25] So I want to get this term to Trump and Tom Holman and everybody that I can.

[00:46:29] Kash Patel, everybody.

[00:46:32] Sheriffs all across the country.

[00:46:33] And here's the phrase that I think really sets the stage for this mass deportation,

[00:46:39] which I'm highly interested in and supportive of.

[00:46:44] Now, I'll be the first to say that I want a justice and mercy plan when it comes to deportation.

[00:46:50] I think we can treat it like the Savior does.

[00:46:53] You know what?

[00:46:54] You're a hardcore criminal.

[00:46:55] Justice needs to happen.

[00:46:57] Swift, justice indeed.

[00:47:01] But there needs to be a mercy plan for children, for innocence, for peaceful people everywhere.

[00:47:09] How do we develop that?

[00:47:10] And I got an idea that can really help with this.

[00:47:12] It's very simple.

[00:47:13] Headline says this.

[00:47:15] Self-report or self-deport.

[00:47:17] Take your pick.

[00:47:19] If you're a criminal, you better self-deport and you better do it now.

[00:47:22] Because I'm telling you, we will deal with you harshly if you're a rapist or a murderer

[00:47:26] or a gangbanger or a drug trafficker or a sex or a, you know, children or a people trafficker,

[00:47:34] human trafficking.

[00:47:35] Okay, we will crack down on you so hard it's not even funny.

[00:47:39] So you better self-deport and you better do it fast.

[00:47:43] However, if you are a good person, you need to self-report.

[00:47:47] We need to create a self-report system where you can say, hey, I'm here.

[00:47:52] I'm illegally here.

[00:47:53] Yes, I've broken the law to get here.

[00:47:56] But, you know, I'm requesting and I want to become a citizen.

[00:47:59] All right.

[00:48:00] Okay.

[00:48:00] We're not doing amnesty.

[00:48:03] Get rid of the A word completely.

[00:48:05] We're not doing amnesty.

[00:48:06] But let's say that you've been here for four years.

[00:48:10] And let's say you came to America and you're willing to work hard and you want to become

[00:48:13] a citizen.

[00:48:15] Hey, there's got to be a way to help you to become a citizen.

[00:48:18] So we might penalize you for being here.

[00:48:21] Just say, I don't know, five grand a year for the last four years.

[00:48:24] You're going to owe a bill to the government for 20 grand.

[00:48:28] And yes, you can pay it back slowly over your lifetime or whatever else you can.

[00:48:32] There's ways.

[00:48:33] But that's if you're not a criminal.

[00:48:35] That's if you self-report.

[00:48:36] That's if you come aboard and you say, here I am.

[00:48:41] And we do a background check on you.

[00:48:43] We kind of test where you're at.

[00:48:44] Okay.

[00:48:44] If you've been here and you've been productive in society, so an employer will vouch for you

[00:48:49] and sponsor you, then maybe the employer can wipe away that 20 grand for you or help with

[00:48:56] that.

[00:48:56] Hey, this illegal is a good person.

[00:49:01] I get that they're here illegally and that can't be overlooked, but it can be mercifully

[00:49:07] dealt with.

[00:49:08] And so, hey, I'm going to, and we can put a plan in place.

[00:49:13] So my phrase is self-report or self-deport.

[00:49:19] And we will deal with you accordingly.

[00:49:22] If you self-report and you're not a criminal, we'll work out a plan for you that makes sense.

[00:49:26] You don't need to run around in fear.

[00:49:28] You don't need to be a second class citizen.

[00:49:30] But if you are a criminal, I'm telling you right now, you better self-deport or it's going

[00:49:33] to be hardcore on you, my friends.

[00:49:36] And so we need to teach the proper principles that can really effectively make the difference.

[00:49:40] So self-report or self-deport.

[00:49:42] I'm hoping Trump will use that phrase because that's what we really need to start saying.

[00:49:47] All right.

[00:49:48] So they say Trump is now very serious about acquiring Greenland to solidify his legacy

[00:49:57] and to broaden the U.S. sphere of influence.

[00:50:01] And you kind of go, what do you think about that?

[00:50:05] I like it.

[00:50:07] Now, I don't think that we ought to do it by force and by the military necessarily.

[00:50:11] I think the man that's known for, quote, the art of the deal is the man that can get this

[00:50:17] done.

[00:50:19] And I hope we really can.

[00:50:21] And I think acquiring Greenland would be a great idea.

[00:50:23] Now, the problem is from a pure country point of view, I'm not really for it because we don't

[00:50:28] have the money.

[00:50:29] We're broke as a country.

[00:50:32] On the other hand, I do think that national security depends on it, as Donald Trump says.

[00:50:38] And I have a Christian element to this.

[00:50:42] I'm not a fan of illegality of any kind, but I will say this.

[00:50:46] Oftentimes, the Lord changes the game on earth in ways that you wouldn't expect.

[00:50:54] Remember, his ways are not our ways.

[00:50:56] God's ways are not our ways.

[00:50:57] And our ways are not his ways.

[00:50:59] So oftentimes, he will do these things to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

[00:51:04] And I am highly interested as an American, as a Christian, in spreading the gospel of

[00:51:11] Jesus Christ everywhere we possibly can.

[00:51:14] I believe in prison, we ought to teach people the principles of Christianity.

[00:51:17] Thou shalt not steal.

[00:51:19] Thou shalt not kill.

[00:51:20] Thou shalt not commit adultery or do anything like it.

[00:51:23] Looking on a woman or lusting after a woman, looking upon a woman with lust.

[00:51:27] You've already committed adultery in your heart with her.

[00:51:29] Okay, I'm all for this idea that we need to teach people these correct principles and

[00:51:34] teach them to govern themselves and let them know there are consequences to their actions

[00:51:38] beyond just the, you know, physical law based on government.

[00:51:43] There's consequences for wrongdoing.

[00:51:46] And there's blessings for appropriate, obedient to God's behavior.

[00:51:53] Right?

[00:51:54] Anyway, so I thought I'd bring that to your attention.

[00:51:56] I'm supporting buying Greenland.

[00:51:58] I know it's not, we don't really have the money for it, but we can stop spending money

[00:52:02] on things that we shouldn't spend money on.

[00:52:03] And this is actually a national security thing.

[00:52:07] And I think it'd be a good thing.

[00:52:10] Canada, I'm not really for the 51st state necessarily.

[00:52:13] But again, we could be more protected if we had, you know, greater control of the borders.

[00:52:23] And, you know, can we offer these things to these people?

[00:52:26] Well, time will tell.

[00:52:28] Well, Matt Gaetz is now considering a, quote, gubernatorial run in Florida.

[00:52:34] He says despite the scandals about him and his, you know, sex capades and previous activity,

[00:52:41] he's repented and changed and he believes he can win the governorship of Florida.

[00:52:46] Can he be the next governor after Ron DeSantis?

[00:52:50] I don't know.

[00:52:51] I'm not against Matt Gaetz like a lot of people are.

[00:52:54] I think a lot of what's been said about him is wrong.

[00:52:57] I think he's done plenty of wrong.

[00:53:01] But I do believe people can change and I want to give people a chance to change.

[00:53:05] And so just like anybody else, I'm going to treat Matt Gaetz with principle-based discussions.

[00:53:11] When he got involved with girls that he shouldn't have sexually or otherwise, shame on Matt.

[00:53:18] If he did drugs and shame on Matt, it's not good for you, buddy.

[00:53:24] But when you say that you want to protect the country and obey principles and follow the law

[00:53:28] and stand up for fiscal responsibility and, you know, good on you.

[00:53:34] We need more of that, right?

[00:53:37] Stand for what's right.

[00:53:38] Reject what's wrong.

[00:53:41] Consistently deliver.

[00:53:42] Final story before the end of the hour.

[00:53:44] I find this interesting and I'll headline this story at the top of the next hour too

[00:53:47] because I find it so riveting.

[00:53:49] Melania Trump.

[00:53:50] Donald Trump's wife has reportedly now locked in a $40 million documentary deal with Amazon

[00:54:02] including cameo appearances from Donald Trump, the president, her husband, and Barron.

[00:54:11] Melania is preparing to embrace the public image by presenting a documentary about her life.

[00:54:18] She's gotten more comfortable with it all and it's supposed to happen.

[00:54:22] That's a lot of money, I'll tell you that right now.

[00:54:24] Wow.

[00:54:24] Is it all for money or is there a greater purpose?

[00:54:28] All right.
