Sam Bushman and Sheriff Richard Mack react to Democrats sweeping both chambers of Congress with Alex Newman of Liberty Sentinel. Alex argues America is reaping what it has sown after decades of outsourcing children to government indoctrination centers, calls Trump delusional for claiming he would've won in a landslide, and says the GOP coalition collapsed over war betrayals and broken promises. They discuss Scott Jennings' silver lining that Obama lost big in 2010 but won in 2012, why the liberty movement always prospers more when out of power, Ron Paul's take that neither party deserves to win, and why the biggest threat to America is turning away from God. Alex makes the case for starting with your own home, homeschooling your children, and seeking first the kingdom.

[00:00:04] Broadcasting live from atop the Rocky Mountains, the crossroads of the West, you are listening to the Liberty Roundtable Radio Talk Show. Happy to have you along, my fellow Americans. You say you love the drink Orange Crush? They're coming out with a new one. It's called Blue Crush. I'm just kidding.
[00:00:32] Sad to say, ladies and gentlemen, the Democrats do control both chambers of Congress. Everybody and their dog is a lame duck. Happy to have you along, my fellow Americans. I'm Sam Bushman. With hard-hitting news, the networks refuse to use, and it all starts now. With me, the good sheriff, Sheriff Richard Mack, well-known commentator, well-known former sheriff, well-known leader of the free movement, if you will.
[00:00:55] CSPOA.org, if you want to get involved in one of the greatest solutions known today, that is your local county sheriff taking action on behalf of those who directly elected him. Author of the new book, Democrat Murderer of America, Demagoguery in the First Degree. Daniel Perkins and Sheriff Mack partnered for the book, Get Your Copy Today, MurderofAmerica.com. Also with us today, Alex Newman, author of incredible, a bunch of books, let's just say that.
[00:01:25] Writer for the New American Magazine, writer for the Epoch Times. He creates the LibertySentinel.org talk show. It's also a Substack. He was named one of the Substacks best in politics. Welcome, Alex. Welcome, Sheriff. Great to be here. Thanks so much for having me, Sam, and good to see you, Sheriff. Thanks. Good to see you, but I'm not going to give my normal, it's great to be with you, all that stuff, Sam. I'm too depressed, and it's not because of the Republicans.
[00:01:55] In fact, they're part of the problem. It's because the American people have been duped, and I'm just, I can't say enough negative today, so I'll stop there. I want to just get your unadulterated comments. I don't want to say a word besides the intro. Alex, I just want to get your summation of last night. Well, we're in big trouble. We all knew we were in big trouble. I think there's several things to keep in mind here.
[00:02:24] One, I think God is the one who raises up kings, but if we're honest, we are reaping what we have sown, right? We have allowed this situation. Our pulpits have not preached the whole counsel of God. We've outsourced the raising of our children to a bunch of people who hate God, who hate our system of government. We've done it for generations now. We have done just so much to deserve what is coming upon us. And I don't think Trump helped things, right?
[00:02:52] He built a very unique coalition that was able to win by bringing together various factions within what might be called the conservative movement. Everybody from libertarians to conservative Christians to milquetoast rhino Republicans who want more corporate welfare. He brought them all together and was able to win elections. And a lot of those people stayed home. And I don't think that was a good idea. I urge everybody to get out and vote whether you like the Republicans or not. The alternative is far worse. Of course, we don't want anybody to violate their conscience.
[00:03:21] But the reality is a lot of people were disgusted by some of the things that have been happening in recent years, whether it be the wars, whether it be the betrayal of key promises, whether it be the lack of accountability, whether it be the throwing under the bus of some of the key people who helped take him to the White House, right? Calling a lot of really significant people low IQ morons for having a difference of opinion. So I recognize that we're in some pretty big trouble now.
[00:03:49] The Democrats are going to run wild. But the reality is this was just a matter of time. And I've been saying it for years. As long as we keep allowing 85 percent of our children to be indoctrinated by people who hate our system of government, hate our God, hate our liberty, this is the inevitable result. Okay, we're getting a sneak preview of what's coming if we don't change course. Yeah, we've got to focus on the local elections, state elections. And some good things happen right here in Florida. We're about to really take a chainsaw into property taxes.
[00:04:18] So praise the Lord for that. But long term, what we're seeing is this alliance between the communists, the Islamists, the globalists. They're gaining ground and they're going to continue gaining ground as long as we don't deal with the long term, which is the education of the next generation, the culture, etc. All right, Alex Newman is the author of Indoctrinating Our Children to Death, ladies and gentlemen. Government Schools, War on Faith, Family and Freedom.
[00:04:48] You can go ahead and get your copy of the book at libertysentinel.com. We've got to know how to stop it though, folks. That's really the key here. Libertysentinel.org to learn more about that. Now, several things that you should know. Several of the Democrats are now saying Republicans lawyer up. So that's going to be a law fair till the cows come home thing. But Scott Jennings, a well-known commentator for Salem and, you know, he's on all kinds of things.
[00:05:17] He highlighted what he calls the silver lining for the Republican midterm disaster loss, if you will. And I want to talk about a little bit of that because I think he has some valid comments. First off, everybody should know that Donald Trump posted, quote, I wasn't on the ballot. And if I was, we would have won in a landslide. Do you want to respond to that first, Alex? Then we'll get to Scott Jennings' comments. Yeah, I mean, I think Trump really should. Yeah, he really should be eating some humble pie right now.
[00:05:46] A lot of these disastrous candidates are people that he personally picked, people who won their primaries because of his endorsement. I mean, look at this Graham character in South Carolina. How in the world do you lose South Carolina? How do you lose Texas? Well, putting your sister up for elections is better than marrying your sister. I suppose it is. I know what you're saying.
[00:06:08] But I mean, and I think a lot of the reason so many Republicans were so frustrated that they didn't go out and vote was because Trump has been behaving in this way. You know, I voted for Trump three times. And I said to everybody, I didn't vote. And people said, why sandwich your duty? And I said, because there's nobody to vote for. Yeah, I mean, it's a sad fact. And the fact that Trump doesn't recognize his responsibility in this, I think, is a bad sign.
[00:06:36] Right now would be a time to be eating some humble pie and say, you know, hey, maybe we should have done a better job delivering on the promises that we made to voters, the things that voters voted for. If we're honest, if we do an honest assessment of where we're at, a lot of the major campaign promises that he made have not been fulfilled or have been directly contradicted. No more wars. We're going to shrink the size of the federal government. I mean, the federal government is huge, right? They've gotten rid of some of the bureaucrats. George was a big failure and a disaster. Trump did say that he will.
[00:07:06] Accept the election results and he will work with the Democrats. He said, you know, hey, I'm going to work with them or whatever. And he congratulated the Democrats. But Arizona House poised to turn blue. This is big. We'll get into that in just a second. But Scott Jennings basically pointed out a couple of things. He says, remember back in what? The 2010s. Barack Obama had a massive defeat loss. Big time. And the Democrats lost a ton.
[00:07:34] I mean, the Republicans picked up even more than the Democrats have now. But Barack was wise and responded well and got reelected in 12, I think it is, as a result of this. And so just as it turned around for the Democrats in the last 18 months, they were on the ropes 18 months ago. Now they rocked the House and the Senate. It can turn around that fast again if we learn our lessons is the point that Scott Jennings is making. The real question is, will we learn the lessons?
[00:08:03] And that's kind of the big, you know, takeaway from this. Will we learn the lesson? Will we understand what we've done wrong? And will we make up for it? And only time will tell. A big portion of that has to do with what the Republicans will do in their lame duck session. Sheriff Mack. Yeah, they're all a bunch of lame ducks. And, you know, the fight that Trump had with Massey and former Congresswoman Greene.
[00:08:33] And, you know, you can't understand a lot of that. But, Alex, it's really good to hear your perspective. And I think you're absolutely correct. We've allowed all of this. And I think the biggest Trump mistake was that he didn't follow through with some promises. And I really think that one of them was education.
[00:09:00] Get rid of the Department of Education, the federal government. They shouldn't be involved in education whatsoever. And that created the problem that you're discussing right now, Alex. So, you know, there's so much to talk about right now and unpack all of this. And, you know, I thought that we created a book that would really help with the midterm elections.
[00:09:28] We couldn't get help from any Republican. We couldn't get help from Epoch Times. They wouldn't do a story about our book. You know, and I sat down with them in Las Vegas to try to make that happen. No, you know. You know, I talked to Tom Holman about the book. He didn't respond at all. We had three or four different people try to hand deliver the book to Trump. We didn't get anything from Fox.
[00:09:58] We tried to get on CNN. We told CNN that we had a huge story about them lying about me and that they're paid liars. No, they didn't want to. Of course, they didn't want to try to counter that because they couldn't. But it was just this whole past six months has been extremely difficult to try to save our country.
[00:10:20] And then we had this sheriff candidate in Wasatch County running against a indictment under investigation, crime after crime. A real, real solid good man. And he lost two to one. And it seemed like the Republicans are just going to vote for their party and be just like the Democrats. Just go with party politics. And I'm fed up with it.
[00:10:47] Well, and I get Sheriff Mack's frustration, disappointment, concern. But I will say this, though. And this is sadly true, Alex. You can respond to this, too. Whenever the Democrats have absolute control, believe it or not, constitutionalists, libertarians, independents, Republicans, whatever you want to call it, MAGA, whoever, usually they, you know, they have a tear in their beer at first and everything else like everybody. They kind of melt down. But they rise to the top.
[00:11:16] But they eventually start to rise to the occasion. They eventually decide that liberty matters. We get more support when the Democrats are in control for the Constitutional Sheriff's and Peace Officers Association and for Liberty Roundtable. And I'm sure over at Liberty Sentinel as well. We get more support whenever we're down like this than, you know, when we're winning. They're just like, hey, Donald will take care of it. Don't worry. We got liberty in hand. And they seem to go away. So the other silver lining, in addition to Scott Jennings, is that this is the time when we actually prosper.
[00:11:45] Your book will get more traction now, probably, Sheriff Mack, than it got before because of this. Alex, do you want to respond to that interesting phenomenon? Sorry. Repeat that again, Sam. I missed what you said. Just that when we're down, when we don't have control, our people seem to rally better than when we have control. When we have control, they just say, oh, Donald's got it for us. Thank you. I'm glad the Republicans have got it. We're safe. We're good. But when the other guys are in charge, we seem to rally.
[00:12:11] I get less money donated to my organizations when the Republicans are in charge than when the Democrats are. And so the silver lining, in addition to Scott Jennings, is that we seem to have an opportunity now to rally for something. It seems like when we're the underdogs, we coalesce and we decide that some of this stuff matters more than the other way around. I know that's a sad reality, but I think it's I've been in this stuff for 30 plus years and I've seen it over and over. I'm convinced that we get better support when this is the way it is. Yeah, there's no doubt about it.
[00:12:38] And I think we have so many conservatives in America who only recognize the danger when people who want to kill babies and chop off the private parts from children are in office. They don't realize that that same threat remains even when Donald Trump is in the White House and that that threat is growing larger and more significant by the moment. So, you know, I am encouraged. I don't think this is the end of the world, just like we saw during Barack Obama, just like we saw during Joe Biden. The resistance is going to grow. You know, even during COVID.
[00:13:06] I was so blessed to be here in Florida. We saw this renewed interest in state nullification. Our state governor and our state legislature came together and literally blocked and nullified a whole bunch of garbage coming out of Washington, D.C. showed the country how it's done. We had counties refusing to participate. We had sheriffs during Barack Obama saying, you know, almost every sheriff in multiple states, we're not going to allow you to confiscate guns from our citizens. So I think we're going to see something like that again.
[00:13:33] But I think that needs to be accompanied by more long term strategic thinking. It can't just be until the next election. We need to think about the long term. We need to think about the education of our children. We need to think about a restoration of the Constitution. We need to think about the culture. As Andrew Breitbart always said, the politics is downstream from culture. The leftists, the Marxists, the globalists, the Islamists, they understand that. Conservatives don't. So hopefully this will give us another opportunity during these next two years.
[00:14:01] Hopefully Trump will use his veto pen frequently. But yeah, we're going to have a tough time ahead. But there's no doubt in my mind that conservatives are going to coalesce in opposition to the extremism. And the reality is that is a good thing. But as long as we don't deal with these long term structural issues, it's not going to work well over the long term. So Alex, I think Ron Paul said it best.
[00:14:25] He wrote a column yesterday and the headline said Republicans deserve to lose, but Democrats don't deserve to win. And then he went on and talked about liberty and said neither of their agendas really embraced the liberty agenda that you and I would embrace. And that really clearly is the problem. And maybe Republicans will start doing that. Maybe we can start to coalesce and work with some of these Democrats and say, hey, it isn't a partisan discussion. The party should be over. This is about character. This is about the checks and balances.
[00:14:55] This is about dual sovereignty. This is about local autonomy and authority. This is about the states telling the federal government to fly a kite when they're involved in things they ought not be. This is an opportunity to really, really educate. And that's what I'm taking from this whole spanking that took place, to put it mildly or whatever you want to call it. But I'm looking at it going, hey, this is the chance for us to say party doesn't matter. I've said the whole time forever, 30 plus years. It isn't about party. I don't look at the Democrats spank the Republicans.
[00:15:24] That's just the private sector clown show. The reality is that people wrongly picked candidates and they picked socialist candidates. And they're going to give us a significant dose of socialism as a result of it. But hopefully it'll give us a chance to go, whoa, we really don't want to go down that road. And hopefully we can use this as a wise recovery opportunity. Look at it as a blip setback, but yet one with poignant experience for people to really, really see. Is there something to this or am I just stretching?
[00:15:55] No, I think you're absolutely right, Sam. I think, you know, this will give us an opportunity to reassess where we're at. And what I've noticed is when Republicans are in opposition, they tend to get better. They tend to get more serious. They tend to pursue more sensible solutions. So hopefully this will be another opportunity for doing that. But I think also it needs to be accompanied by genuine repentance. You know, the Bible is clear that you reap what you sow and our country is definitely reaping what it has sown. We have allowed some of this evil.
[00:16:25] We have tolerated some of this evil. We have facilitated some of this evil for so long that it's not surprising that all those seeds we planted and allowed to grow are now bearing fruit. And the fruit is nasty. The fruit is terrible. It's the abuse of our children. It's the opening of our borders. It's the destruction of our institutions. It's going to be, I think, increasingly the persecution of people who don't want to go along with it.
[00:16:49] Probably not with Trump as president, although I think we'll see a lot more Democrat governors now emboldened to do the kind of crazy stuff they wanted to do before. And so I hope that any kind of political reawakening will be accompanied by a spiritual revival where Americans turn back to prayer, turn back to God, turn back to the Bible, and recognize that none of the things that we want, the liberty, the security, the prosperity, the future for our children, can exist in a nation whose God is not the Lord.
[00:17:18] There is no such thing as a free country that doesn't have the Bible at its core. And if you don't believe me, look around the world, look back throughout history, and find me a single example that disproves that. The reality is you won't. And so we need to understand that over the long term if we're going to be serious about pushing back this tide of tyranny. Sheriff Mack, we ran around the horn after a five-hour stint covering the elections last night for Liberty News Radio.
[00:17:46] And at the end of it, we went around the horn and answered your favorite question. Mine was we need morality brought back in the people. We're an immoral people, and therefore, hey, we're going to get bad results. When you're immoral, it goes bad. When you're immoral people, it goes really, really well. And our society, our constitution, our proper rule of limited government, whatever you want to call it, our constitutional republic, was based on immoral religious people, and it's inadequate for the governing of any other kind of a statement. And so that was my answer to the question.
[00:18:16] But Sheriff, why don't you ask Alex your main question, see what he kind of has to say on this one. Well, it sounds like he just gave your answer, returned to the Bible. But he didn't answer what the biggest threat was, though. So the biggest threat to our country then, Alex, right now, what would you say it is? Our turning away from God and his word. And I think that's manifested in several different ways.
[00:18:41] It's manifested in what we've allowed the so-called education system to do to our children. It's manifested in the open borders issue where we have imported tens of millions of people from cultures hostile to ours. Sorry. Bless you, sir. Thank you. I need to interrupt you for a second, Alex. Primarily because I want to get your take before you leave at the bottom of the hour, and that's getting really close.
[00:19:08] Even Idaho had a voter proposition about abortion. And last night, it was losing. To have abortion on demand, pretty much, in Idaho was winning by about 10%. I don't know how it worked out. Maybe, Sam, you can have one of your staff try to look it up in Idaho.
[00:19:38] Thankfully, that proposition one did not pass. So the ban on most of the murder of unborn babies is still in place, and praise the Lord for that. Wow. Okay. Good to hear. So there you have that. Matt Staver wrote me an email, which I think is really informative. And it's entitled, God wrote the script. Sam, God writes the script. We must be obedient.
[00:20:07] See, I think that's the core. That's the solution. The level of spiritual warfare our nation is currently facing is like nothing I've ever seen before. I'll tell you more, but first, if it were up to us, we would script defense differently. But remember that God knows best. We must never give up, never get discouraged.
[00:20:32] We must realize that his will will be done here on earth as it is in heaven. And we must keep fighting and doing our part. Liberty Council is involved in several significant lawsuits, including a ballot initiative. And they're planning to file several more lawsuits with the U.S. Supreme Court. And the bottom line is they're fighting the SPLC.
[00:20:58] And they say now in the aftermath of this election, we need your prayers, your help more than ever. Praise God. And we need to realize that, hey, there are good people doing great things. And so we need to get involved in the solutions, folks. And that is realizing we've got to stop the wholesale murder of innocence. So we need to get rid of this pro-abortion agenda. And it's time for us to make a big push for that.
[00:21:27] I said when the Republicans took control many years ago when Donald Trump started in 2016, I said the most important thing we can do is shut down this abortion. And we got rid of Roe versus Wade. That was a good start. Now we have abortion pills. We have everything else. We've got a lot of work to do. And I think we need to spend our days actively involved in making a difference. We need to start to, you know, anxiously engage in a good cause, if you will, Alex, is what I think we really need to spend our time on.
[00:21:56] We don't have time to just have a tear in our beer. Not that I drink beer anyway. But anyway, you've got to really stand up for this stuff. And we need to not take it as kind of a spectator sport, sit on the sidelines or whatever. We need to get in there and active and involved and find out where we can make the biggest difference. And I don't need to worry about the nation. God's got that or the country. I just need to worry about what I'm doing. Alex? A hundred percent. I couldn't agree with you more, Sam.
[00:22:20] If we focus on the little area of responsibility that God has given us, he will take care of the big picture stuff. Praise the Lord. We're not responsible for the outcome. We're just responsible for obeying, being faithful, doing what he called us to do. And, you know, everybody wants to, like, change the president and change their member of Congress. Let's start by changing our own lives. Let's start by changing our own homes. You know, if you're involved in wickedness and immorality, get out of that. If you're sending your children to a government brainwash camp, stop it, right?
[00:22:49] You know that's contrary to what God teaches. My wife and I were incredibly blessed to homeschool our six children. We use a great program called Classical Conversations. I would encourage everybody. If you can't homeschool, you know, find a good Christian school. Find something that you can do in your life. You don't need to change the president to make sure your children are getting a good education. And as we start taking care of the smaller things, as we start being faithful in the smaller things that God has given us to do, the big picture stuff will be taken care of on its own.
[00:23:19] And God says, seek first the kingdom and all the rest of the stuff, your food, your drink, your clothes. God will take care of that. And I think we need to apply that in our lives. We can't control the outcomes of all these things, but we can control the things that he's put in our control. And the more we do that, the better off we will be. And yes, we do need to be involved in politics. You know, if you're not active in your local party, if you're not supporting a good candidate for sheriff or city council or Congress,
[00:23:45] I think you're not doing your duty as a member of we the people, the sovereign in this country. I don't think you're doing your biblical duty. So we all need to be involved. And I hear the music. But thank you, gentlemen. God bless you. We need God and family in the proper order and in the proper realm that God set forth. And then the country will take care of itself.
[00:24:14] I have eight children. Never put a single one in government school. Never did. Never will. Boy, did I save the taxpayers millions of dollars. Thank you, Alex Newman. Dr. Scott Bradley was with us last night, too. And he really advocated for the morality in the people as well. I think that's critical to understand. Sheriff Mack with me now. We've got a whole lot coming up, folks. Limited Roundtable Live is only half done. Then we go into the Sheriff's Posse. Sheriff Richard Mack with me now.
[00:24:42] God save our constitutional republic.
