[00:00:04] Broadcasting live from atop the Rocky Mountains, the crossroads of the West. You are listening to the Liberty Roundtable Radio Talk Show. Thank heavens for the good guys. Armed bystander saves lives and gets absolute praise from the liberals. Trump says people ought to be shot. Trump says, oh boy.
[00:00:34] Then there's a war on fraud. A massive crackdown on illegal trucking and a whole lot more. Happy to have you along, my fellow Americans. I'm Sam Bushman with Hard Hitting News, the network reviews to use. It is a freedom-loving, fantastic, faith-filled. We're taking America back one heart, one mind, one issue at a time Friday. Scott Bradley is normally with us, but out with family this week. So we've got Kirk Crosby, affectionately known as the Honeyman, with us.
[00:01:00] He's a well-known, liberty-minded radio personality promoting God, family, and country. And day-to-day, he's the Honeyman. Localhoneyman.com for your raw honey that tastes great, nutritious, delicious, all available now. Shipped across the country directly to your door. Localhoneyman.com. Hi, Kurt. Buenos dias. Greetings and salutations. Howdy, howdy, howdy. Thank you, Sam. You're very welcome, sir. We've got, in my mind, sad news but good news.
[00:01:30] And what I mean by that is, armed bystander stops Oregon school shooter after three children and teacher are killed. A 16-year-old shot through locked doors at this place in Oregon. I guess they call it Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon. Killed three children, ages 5, 8, and 11.
[00:01:58] And a teacher, cops said. A 7-year-old and another teacher, I guess, were injured. But an armed bystander who saw the attacker enter the school, fatally shot him, stopping the attack. Anyway, Oregon Governor Tina Peters, pretty liberal from what I understand, praised the community members' heroic intervention to preserve loss of life.
[00:02:28] So now what you've got is the liberals, Kurt, used to just, every time a shooting would happen, they'd be like, see, got to take the guns. See, got to. And now you're starting to see shootings that, you know, they get stopped by a good guy with a gun. It's a kill-me-not, a rape-me-not, whatever you want to call it. And so you're starting to even see the liberals being forced to admit the truth. Good guys with guns stop bad guys. In the hands of a good guy, a gun is not an assault weapon.
[00:02:55] It's actually a save-life device. Kurt? Couldn't agree more, Sam. You're so on target. Yeah, the headline from NBC News, Oregon school shooting, three children and a teacher killed, two other people critically injured. The sub-headline, a 16-year-old suspect was killed shortly after police received reports of a shooting at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend.
[00:03:24] And police said, you know, not much talk about the hero there that I could see. No, see, and that's their problem. See, a bunch of liberal weirdos. Why don't they admit the truth? The sad news is somebody went ballistic with a gun and some people died. The great news is somebody used a save-life device, Kurt. That's right. It says way down, a little farther down. I mean, I'll give them credit. It's at least in the top half.
[00:03:52] It says a good Samaritan shot and killed the 16-year-old, according to authorities, who credited that person with preventing further loss. All right. Anyway, I just found that to be great news. Not that I really want, you know, any shooting or that I'm saying that's great news, but I'm just saying, hey, you know what? If a good guy could have got there a little quicker, and that's the point is that the cops can't always get there that quick.
[00:04:20] That's why it's important to have save-life devices in the hands of all good guys everywhere all the time. Because then they can deserve and save life, Kurt. Yeah, they say the police arrived within three minutes and learned the suspect had been shot and killed. So, you know, like you say, I mean, even though they got there in three minutes, which was pretty fast. That's incredible, actually.
[00:04:44] You know, the other, without that good Samaritan, there would have been more. Yeah, and so it's a day late and a dollar shorter, I might say, you know, three minutes too late and many lives more lost. And so this is where, you know, our dear friend David A. Clark Jr., well-known sheriff of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, back in the day. Now he's doing other things. But this is where he basically asked the public, you know what? Learn, train, arm yourselves. I can't always be there fast enough.
[00:05:14] My team can't always get there fast enough. But you can partner with us and make the difference. I mean, that just shows how spot on that is. And that's what I think the mainstream press should be talking about right now. They should get that sheriff on or Sheriff Richard Mack or somebody and say, you know, this just proves your point, doesn't it? You know, we could carry that ball all the way and preserve lives. But no, their hatred of the right to keep and bear arms prevents them from doing that, as far as I can see, Kurt. Yep.
[00:05:40] And they'll always say, well, see, the real answer is, you know, you just got to get rid of the guns. But the bottom line, Sam, guess what? Only people that would keep that law would be the people, you know, that are law-abiding. Criminals don't keep laws. Right? Oh, really? That's why they're called criminals. I thought they would just, like, see a sign or something and just be like, oh, I guess I can't do that. You know what I mean? All right.
[00:06:07] Next story, which I find interesting, and I'm going to criticize, and then I'm going to give a little bit of reality check, okay? Trump says Fort Hood mass shooter, his execution will not be live streamed. And this is a big battle with Pete Hegseth. They said they're going to live stream the execution, and everybody's getting all excited. It's kind of like a brawl at the White House or whatever. You know, you're going to watch this guy get executed. I think it's just horrible. I'm against it 100%.
[00:06:37] And Trump is doubling down saying, hey, people probably don't want to watch that. And so Trump reversed course, and now he's not going to broadcast the execution. A lot of praise for that, Kurt. Trump's right. Whoever thought they wanted to promote that thing in the first place, though, what are they thinking, Kurt? I mean, come on. Do you want to watch an execution? Well, you know, it makes me think of the old John Wayne movies. I think in particular the True Grip one where, you know, they're going into town.
[00:07:07] A big event for the day is hanging in town, you know. And, you know, the young lady wants to watch. And, you know, her servant basically is about to cover her eyes just before the hanging. And she makes him move and then, you know, watches it.
[00:07:27] And, you know, I will say this, that, you know, you just want to, I guess you'd say persuade people to not do those evil things. And maybe that helps with that persuasion part. The problem that I've got is, you know, there's just so much violence in society, you know, killing.
[00:07:53] I mean, so many of our, quote, entertainment things offer so much of that that we're, I guess you could say, almost numb to it, right? Yeah. And that's the sad part is that violence begats violence. And when we kind of turn violence into entertainment, we're going down the wrong road from a moral point of view for sure. And I get the deterrent point that you're making. I understand all that.
[00:08:15] But at the same time, you know, as far as I can tell, everybody thinks shooting somebody or whatever is kind of a cool thing, you know, or they think whatever. But then when it actually happens, then it literally changes their lives, though. They're never the same. And, you know, you can't get that stuff out of your mind. And so if you watch a hanging or watch a shooting or watch this and that, you know, many people struggle with their stability after that. They struggle with, you know, what does life mean?
[00:08:42] And, you know, could I have done something different to prevent it? Or what? And so understand, folks, let's be clear, this changes lives. And oftentimes it's not a very positive change in people's lives when they see those things. And that's why I say I want to give up, you know, kind of a criticism and then a reality check. You know, it's important for people to realize there needs to be deterrence. And where's that balance in society?
[00:09:09] You know, I personally think you don't need to watch it. But to know that it happened is important. Hey, this person will be executed because they shot and killed other people. And I think it's important to know that. And then I think we should tie it clearly to God and family. And, you know, God loves us. And, you know, thou shalt not kill is important. And, you know, your family can be loving and kind and around you. And, hey, why would this person go and mass shoot somebody anyway?
[00:09:37] Must be something in their, you know, relationship with God that's lacking or their relationship with their family that's lacking or, you know, these kind of things. So I think that the acknowledgment that, hey, this will be punished is vital. But I think to go into the violence too much is not good. And to tie people to God and to tie people to, you know, stability and solutions really is the answer in my mind. Hey, don't thou shalt not kill is the key part here. That's the Lord's commandments, people.
[00:10:05] You know, hammering it home in that way, I think, has greater value, Kurt. A couple of other points on that, you know, recently we just celebrated the birthday of posthumously of Charlie Kirk, you know. And, you know, the people, at least in our area that I know of, one even in our, you know, close family that was there during that event. Man, they've had tough times after it.
[00:10:33] And the other thing is, why in the world would we have ever made it where the military couldn't carry, you know, their guns before they did? It's insane, ladies and gentlemen, but Charlie Kirk's life, let him stand for God, family, and country. And let us follow his lead as we promote the things that matter most. Kurt and Sam in seconds. On election night, the mainstream networks will tell America what to think.

[00:12:27] LibertyNewsRadio.com. All right, back with you live, ladies and gentlemen. Trump says military leaders who leak should be shot at an Arizona rally, ladies and gentlemen. This is where I want to do a little criticism and then I want to do some reality checks.
[00:12:55] President Donald Trump told supporters in Bullhead City, Arizona, on October 14th, quote, in my opinion, leakers should be shot. His comments drew applause as he discussed disclosures about military operations in Iran. Trump claimed the leak had forced the change in attack plans,
[00:13:22] and he didn't go into the specific operations, etc. His remarks advocated shooting government sources who disclose military information. But the reporting has not established that he wanted to carry that out or that he really would carry it out or whatever. And this is where I believe, Kurt, and I'm going to give the criticism, I'm not for shooting anybody without due process of law, okay? That's where the criticism is.
[00:13:50] However, in Trump's defense, I'm not so sure that's what he's saying. A lot of times when you hear Trump, you hear something, but then when you, you know, ask him about it or get a chance to clarify or hear the whole statement or whatever, then it's different. And so it's easy to criticize until you get the whole story. This is a problem because there's separate things here. One, I'm all for transparency in government. And so leaks to me for the most part are good. However, and this is the caveat,
[00:14:18] when you're in the middle of military operations and people's lives are at stake and then you leak information that can compromise a mission or you leak information that could put lives in jeopardy unnecessarily, etc., it changes the game. And so I don't know that people should be shot without due process. I don't think so. And you would say, well, Sam, it's military time and these are military combatants and, you know, these people are traitors if they're doing this on the theater of operations. I get all that. Due process.
[00:14:47] At the same time, we need to realize that when you are in harm's way, and this is why I have a lot of patience for police officers, when you have to make split-second decisions and when you're in harm's way and when somebody compromises your mission, it is a bad deal. And so I'm going to defend Donald Trump's statements here and say, I don't know that he was advocating for the violation of due process, but I do think he was highlighting the importance of, hey, when you're in a mission, leaks are disastrous and virtually border on traitorous, if you will.
[00:15:16] And so I just kind of want to put that in perspective because you can go all over the map with this thing and you can be right on many points. But it's important to realize that we're talking about military leakers and the example Trump was using was kind of in the middle of theater or the middle of operations where, hey, missions were compromised and were forced to be changed on the fly because of this. It's a different discussion than you might take out of context if you don't understand the whole thing. Kurt?
[00:15:44] Well, I think you've covered it very well, Sam. You know, I couldn't agree more that it's important to maintain those, I guess you'd say those secrets when necessary. On the other hand, especially if you have an out-of-control leader, you know, a true Hitler, if you will,
[00:16:10] you know, you've got to have somebody willing to say, hey, that's not right. But it sure is interesting how so many times the, what would you say, I was almost going to say the loyal opposition, but I wouldn't call them loyal really. Yeah. Basically comes up with information you think, man, that shouldn't have been shared.
[00:16:39] Well, and that's kind of the point that Trump's making. You know, a leak forced changes in attack plans, you know, hey, I have a problem with that. Now they say then, but the example he was referring to, he left unclear. Well, again, do you expect him to call out leakers and explain, and then tell you that an attack had to be changed because the leaks, and then you want him to give you all the details? I don't get that. And in Trump's defense, it's like, hey,
[00:17:09] the reason he's not telling the details is because it shouldn't have been leaked in the first place. And I'm not for the violation of transparency. I know we have in America, everything is classified and everything, you know, hides behind walls. And I'm against that generally speaking. However, when it comes to the military and when it comes to some of those things, there are appropriate times, Kurt, where, you know what? Transparency is problematic. And so if they don't abuse the privilege, I do think that there's value in, and necessity in,
[00:17:39] um, secrecy or in classified or in, uh, you know, not revealing details. There's a balance here. And the problem is the balance has been so abused. Now everybody thinks everything should be transparent. That's not true either, Kurt. Well, right. Uh, I mean, even in our case, I remember this has been many years ago, but, uh, you know, when we requested our, what do they call it? The, uh,
[00:18:08] freedom of information act to request, you know, basically. So you're supposed to be able to get your details that the government has on you, you know, and you get your, uh, some, uh, you know, seemed like around 60 pages and all these pages have got all this black marks, you know, they call it, uh, redactions, you know, in there. And it's like, well, you really didn't give me, uh, you know, the information, uh, you know, and, and,
[00:18:38] and in the end, you find out it's just, um, somebody's idea of, uh, I mean, keeping secrets. How many things are like that? Like the, well, and why does Kurt need to have it redacted on himself? Is there something Kurt can't know about Kurt? The Kurt needs to know that shouldn't know, you know, that kind of thing. Right. And so this is the example where you can drive a truck through it. And I call, I call foul on that at the same time, when Trump is talking about military operations in live theater situations, that's a different ball game, Kurt.
[00:19:06] And that's why I want to defend president Trump a little bit in this, because he's giving very specific examples and then saying, Hey, I think these people who leaked should be shot. Well, that's a very narrow scope that I am going to have a hard time disagreeing with. Actually, I'm not saying there should be no due process, but I am saying that's not the same as not letting Kurt know about Kurt's freedom of information, information act request. And that's where we get into a lot of trouble. All right. Do we get that audio ready to go? Liz.
[00:19:38] All right. Yeah. So Kurt brought up a story about war on fraud and boy, is it a great story. Let's play it. Then we'll break it down and talk about it. Here it is. Back here at home tonight, we're learning about new administration moves in the war on fraud. The justice department is announcing charges from its first nationwide tax fraud surge. And the health and human services department is outlining efforts to target healthcare fraud. Correspondent, Alexander Hoff has details tonight.
[00:20:07] It was just a license for fraud. The cost is ultimately carried by the American people. Multiple federal agencies today revealing the fruits of these latest fraud crackdowns. The justice department alongside the IRS announcing actions taken against 76 defendants as part of the first national tax enforcement surge. Officials say the six-week effort uncovered $490 million in intended losses.
[00:20:31] If anyone thought or questioned whether criminal tax enforcement is a priority, today's actions should dispel all doubt. In one case, the DOJ alleges three Mexican nationals living in Georgia created fake IDs to obtain documents intended for non-citizens working in the U.S., using them to file phony tax returns.
[00:20:52] They allegedly received more than 16,000 U.S. Treasury refund checks, totaling around $74 million. The Trump administration wants these anti-fraud efforts top of mind for voters come election day. According to the White House's fraud task force, the Trump administration has uncovered $260 billion worth of fraud, recovering nearly $59 billion.
[00:21:17] Federal health officials also announcing an expected $738 million in savings this year after discovering 189,000 Americans had been dual-enrolled in federally subsidized health plans like Obamacare and Medicaid, meaning taxpayers were being billed twice for patients who had moved, were signed up unknowingly, or had died. No patient was benefited by the duplicate coverage.
[00:21:40] They were getting coverage from one or the other, and the money was otherwise vanishing into the pockets of insurance agents and insurance companies. Leadership at HHS and CMS point the finger at the Biden administration, noting today that during COVID, the system designed to check if recipients were enrolled in the ACA and Medicaid at the same time was turned off, creating a massive backlog. All right, Alex, thank you. Wow, Kurt, you want to respond to this one first, sir? This is a crazy town.
[00:22:07] But again, this is something you don't hear from the mainstream press hardly, right? Well, yeah, and I mean, the place I got it was a special report from a lady named Alexandria Hoff. You know, and you'd think a thing like this would have some real legs. The president could certainly use it. But, you know, think about that.
[00:22:32] You got the three Mexican nationals, which, as far as I can tell, means guys that weren't supposed to be here. And they did, they filled out paperwork for, did they say 16,000? Checks. I mean. 75 billion dollars or whatever it is.
[00:22:54] Yeah, and I think I almost remember a story either like this or this story many years, you know, way back or whatever. And it seemed like the 16,000 checks all went to the same address. And I'm thinking, you know, maybe you wouldn't have to really be too much of a fraud guy to figure out, let's see, there's been 1,000 checks there. Let's see. Another 2,000.
[00:23:24] To me, there's several flags. One, all those checks go to the same address. Two, the dollar amount that the checks all add up to, it's like, hey, does this family or this individual or these people living at this place really deserve 75 whatever million or billion dollars or whatever? All I'm telling you is there should be so many flags on that stuff that it should have been stopped 66 ways from Sunday. But that's the problem is you've got government programs that are handout programs that are so many
[00:23:50] and so vast and so massive and so expansive to where nobody can keep an eye on it. Kurt, it's not even possible. And there's only one clear answer. Shut down government handouts to where they have no authority to hand out and steal my money and give it to somebody else in the first place. That's what we got to do. Just stop it. And Trump's well on his way. It's not perfect, but look, he's done a lot of good there. And will the mainstream press tell you about it? I don't think so. But of course we will. I'm Sam Bushman.
[00:24:20] Kirk Cosby is with me, ladies and gentlemen. Check out localhoneyman.com. And check out our work on libertyroundtable.com, libertynewsradio.com, Rumble, X, YouTube, Truth Social, spread the word, share the love. God save our constitutional republic.
