[00:00:04] Broadcasting live from atop the Rocky Mountains, the crossroads of the West. You are listening to the Liberty Roundtable Radio Talk Show. Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the honey man, the money man, and the funny man. Welcome to the broadcast, ladies and gentlemen. Kurt Crosby is going to be with me. Heath Perkins is going to be with me. We're talking about honest money.
[00:00:31] And ladies and gentlemen, we're going to be talking about Caroline Levitt, Donald Trump, AI. We're just getting started, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the show, Heath. Thank you for having me on, Sam. And Kurt Crosby, welcome to you too, sir. Buenos dias. Greetings and salutations. Howdy, howdy, howdy. Thank you, Sam. You're very welcome, sir. All right, Heath, where's gold sitting today, sir?
[00:01:00] You're at $4,374.10. $4,374.10, ladies and gentlemen. That's up a little bit, silver, sir? $64.88. And that's interesting. Now, Rand Paul had this video that he just put out, and he said, Hey, man, we're going into Fort Knox, folks. I'm going to tell you what's going on.
[00:01:27] We've lost 97% of our purchasing power. It said that in the headline, and then he said $85 when he was speaking in the video. It's a cool video. The problem that I have with this, is this all theater, or is he really going into Fort Knox? Now, I know Donald Trump said this and talked about it and everything else, and then it never materialized, and then Rand Paul comes up with this. Your thoughts first. Kurt, welcome, sir. Well, thank you, Sam.
[00:01:53] You know, I always wonder if you could just go along with them, and then, you know, we've been told, Hey, there's certain ways they can make the gold be really tungsten. It looked like gold. Heath will know more about that than me, but anyway, bottom line is, were you able to check out if there was a whole thing full of gold? I didn't hear what Rand had to say about it. What do you say about it, Heath?
[00:02:23] So, maybe, Michael, if you want to try to look for that video, if you can, we might even be able to play it. I'll try to find it and forward it to you. I'll just, anyway, see if you can find it. But Rand Paul is basically doing a video suggesting he's going to roll into Fort Knox and find out about it and all this kind of stuff. And it's pretty cool, but I just, I just don't know if it's just all theater or what is my problem. I just, I mean, I appreciate it. I think Rand Paul's for reals in many ways. At the same time, he's done a lot that's disappointed me over the years.
[00:02:52] So, I don't really know, you know, how to take that. I sure hope we go into Fort Knox and get to the bottom line on this thing. What do you think, Heath? Is it real? I'd hope so. But, I mean, Shakespeare said it best. The whole world's a stage. It seems like it's just another part of the stage and more props and things like that. If it was there, it'd be very easy to verify.
[00:03:20] And you'd have third-party individuals that'd be able to verify that. And there wouldn't have to be any kind of, you know, delayed auditing of Fort Knox's inventory. So, it's highly suspect. But also, like you said, Rand Paul is an individual a lot of people trust, mainly due to his dad and his dad wanting to, you know, abolish the Fed and other things like that.
[00:03:50] But it seems like he's starting to just play ball with the rest of them. There's a few things that he's been doing that it's just not the clear direction that should be taken if he's going to follow his dad's footsteps. And he seems to be straying further and further away from his dad's footsteps. I sure hope we can get to the bottom of this. And I sure hope that Rand Paul can bring accountability. I know this. He's done a real good job on the Anthony Fauci thing.
[00:04:20] And, you know, we didn't think that he would get him, you know, in contempt of Congress. And it happened. Whether there'll be real accountability or not, time will still tell. But I think Rand Paul's done a stellar job on that. And so I do hope for the best. I don't mean to be negative on this, Kurt. Yep. A Yahoo piece says that he posted that Fort Knox holds approximately 147 million ounces of gold.
[00:04:46] It says, which is half of the U.S. gold reserve. I'm kind of like, where's the rest? But I guess he argued its deeper lesson is monetary. Since the dollar left gold in 1971, he says it's lost roughly 85% of its value. I guess in another post, he pointed out that the dollar has lost 97% of its purchasing power
[00:05:14] since the Federal Reserve was established in 1913. And he equated $100 in 1913 to $3,300 today. And he blamed that on Congress, their unchecked spending and the Federal Reserve's money printing. So I guess that's a pretty good job. I think you couldn't be more right about that, Kurt. Where's the rest of it? It's a great job.
[00:05:44] And that's the point. It's a great job. And that's why I don't know if it's theater. I believe that Rand Paul is telling the truth. I think he's doing his best to get to the bottom of something important. He could just not talk about it at all. So you've got to give him a lot of credit there and say, hey, what's happening? We've got the video now of Rand Paul. Let's watch this. Then we'll come straight back to Heath. We're going to see the gold. The country has about 147 million ounces of gold. And about half of it is stored here at Fort Knox. We're going to be going deep underground to see the gold.
[00:06:13] But more importantly, we're going to be talking today about what happened to our dollar when we separated from gold in 1971. Over 85% of the value of the dollar has been lost since we delinked from gold. So there is a problem. The media now calls this affordability. What it really is, is inflation. We run a debt. As the deficit runs up, $2 trillion a year. Part of that debt is bought by the Federal Reserve with newly created dollars.
[00:06:41] This leads to inflation and prices are up. And my goodness, just go to the grocery store and still look at the price of meat. Prices are up 25% in the last five years. It's inflation. It's related to deficit spending. It's related to unbalanced budgets. So we're going to look at the gold today. But really what we're talking about is why is our paper currency failing us? And why does our country continue to run such massive debts? I'm going down underground. And I'll let you know what I see in a little bit. Thanks. Fort Knox.
[00:07:11] All right. There the video is. And so, you know, I really appreciate it. But when he says I'm going underground, I'll show you what I find and all that kind of stuff. I get that he can't broadcast live from underground. I'm sure the connectivity is not that good or whatever and all that. But then we haven't really heard anything. When did he release this video? A couple days ago, right? I mean, how come we haven't seen or heard the details? So I really appreciate this. And I'm grateful. But Rand Paul and Donald Trump haven't been super buddies all the time either.
[00:07:40] And so Donald Trump promoted that he wanted to do this. Then he went, you know, silent on the topic. And then Rand comes up with this. And so I don't know really what to think of this. Heath? Yeah, it's difficult because, I mean, I think you said this in the past. Republicans, you know, they talk good talk. But there's no action that's followed up that talk. It kind of goes back to, you know, a congressman in this area, Jaffetz and Chaffetz.
[00:08:10] You know, he was in Congress. And after two terms, he's just like, or it was two terms, he was just, he was done. He's just like, I can't get anything done here. We can grill individuals all we want. But everyone's attention span is so short that all they do is wait. And enough, you know, time goes by and everyone, you know, it's water under the bridge. Like it doesn't even, it didn't even happen kind of a thing.
[00:08:33] So even though you can grill individuals and you can get people on the stand, this and that, the follow-up doesn't exist. And we've seen this over and over and over. It's something the Republicans are famous for. Like they've got great talking points. They've got great, you know, congressional hearings. And they've got great questions they ask.
[00:08:58] But to continue that and to actually put those individuals, you know, feet to the fire and to hold them to, you know, the things that they are liable for, like it doesn't happen. So for this to be something, it's a good talking point. You know, yes, everyone's talking about the Fed and does Fort Knox have, you know, gold in it? Is it even empty?
[00:09:27] You know, like what's going on? Where's all the money? Or where's all the gold? And to your point, Kurt, part of that is stored in other locations like Denver, San Francisco. There's a few other Federal Reserves that hold a few of that. I think West Point has some of the gold as well. All of the gold is being minted out of West Point for New Eagles and Buffalo. So it's spread around. There's some in New York as well. It's spread around so it's not just one location.
[00:09:55] If that one location was struck with, you know, a weapon or whatever, we wouldn't be able to access anything. So they've kind of moved it around. But at the same time, like, we need to have an audit on all these things. And if we can't be as transparent as we need to be, I mean, it's hard to even be transparent now because everyone can just continue to say it's a deep fake. It's AI. It's this or that. But so it's hard. That's the problem, Heath, that we're finding. And here's the headline now that I see.
[00:10:23] Rand Paul finally gets inside. Forge knocks. Claims the gold is still there. So I don't want to, you know, be the guy that says that he's not telling the truth. But I just kind of wonder when we get back, Kurt, is the gold really there? Can we trust Rand Paul, number one? And number two, did he see tungsten and get hoodwinked? I'm just saying. Yeah. Just one guy saying I'm going in and then coming out and telling me the answer? I don't know if that's enough for me to believe.
[00:10:52] Even if I think he's an honest guy, we'll talk about it. As a parent, is receiving a faith-based, character-focused education for your children difficult to find? Do you believe that godly principles should be a central component in your child's education? Imagine a school where faith and integrity are at its center, where heritage and responsibility instill character.
[00:11:15] For over 40 years, American Heritage School has been educating both hearts and minds, bringing out academic excellence. This is the school where character and embracing the providence of a living god are fundamental, where students' national test scores average near the 90th percentile. With American Heritage School's Advanced Distance Education Program, distance is no longer an issue. With an accredited LDS-oriented curriculum from kindergarten through 12th grade,
[00:11:43] your children can attend from anywhere in the world. American Heritage School will prepare your child for more than a job. It will prepare them for life. Former Sheriff Richard Mack recounts in his book The Proper Role of Law Enforcement, how he came to realize while working as a beat cop how wrong the all-too-common orientation of police officers is when they think of their job as being to write tickets and arrest people.

Purchase your copy at CSPOA.org. That's CSPOA.org. All right, let's get back to Kurt Crosby. So Rand Paul says he went in. The gold's there, man. Got it. Done. And I'll make my points in just a second. But, Kurt, what do you think?
[00:12:42] Do you think you really did? Do you think you really know? Do you think you got hoodwinked? What do you think? Well, I don't know for sure about what happened with Rand. I was doing the numbers, though. And if you got the, what he said, 147 million ounces of gold at $4,000 an ounce, that adds up to about $588 billion as far as I can see.
[00:13:08] So if we got double that because it's only half of it, you're only at a trillion, sir. Yeah, $1.176 trillion. Now, if we've got a $40 trillion at or near national debt, and some say it's way higher than that, if you look at our promissory notes or whatever, I think we're still kind of in trouble. So my question to Heath, I guess, is, you know, you're familiar with the United States notes.
[00:13:38] Could we just eliminate the Fed and print our own money like JFK and Lincoln did and thus eliminate the interest that's over a trillion dollars a year? Could we do that? Yeah, we pay more interest than we have gold in total, Heath. Yeah, and that's in every 90 days. Every 90 days we pay a trillion dollars in interest.
[00:14:02] So, yes, we do have the ability to issue our own red seal notes, which is a U.S. Treasury note. The ability for us to do this, we have to utilize an asset that would back that. But the U.S. has multiple assets, including national parks, including Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, which is all the mortgages, well, 90% of the mortgages here in the United States.
[00:14:25] We have all sorts of assets, all coastal-owned, U.S.-owned national parks. I mean, it's just there's a lot that can be used as the backing for us to print our own money and to get away from the Fed. This is what JFK did right before, the summer before he was assassinated. A lot kind of hinted that's probably the reason why he was assassinated, was taking the money, the printing ability back from the Federal Reserve.
[00:14:54] There's a struggle to it. Lincoln was assassinated. Kennedy was assassinated. When you start going after central banks' right to print money, but, yes, we do have the ability to do it. We could easily do it. We have the assets to back it all. We just need to have someone who has the guts to do it, who is not afraid of the consequences that might come from those, the powers that should not be. So, yes, it is possible, Kurt.
[00:15:24] Amen to that. Now, Donald Trump talked about going into Fort Knox, did nothing. Rand Paul talked about it for years and actually got it done. I commend Rand for that. However, let me make a point very, very, very clear, ladies and gentlemen. Paul's visit should not be confused with a true independent bar-by-bar audit of the Federal Reserve.
[00:15:50] No such comprehensive audit accompanied his visit, and no such third-party audit has ever been done. Let's be very clear. So I'm not saying Rand Paul's lying. I think he's truthful. I think he went in there, and I think he saw stuff. Whether he really saw real gold that was tested, whether he really got, you know, bar-by-bar count, you know, what he did, we don't really know. So I don't think he's lying by any means. I do want to know where the other half is, and I do want to know why we only have a trillion dollars worth of gold
[00:16:17] when we spend literally four trillion a year on the budget or more, because, you know, the military-industrial complex is over a trillion and a half a year these days. And so it's out of control. And the more I hear, the more questions I actually have about this. And so then Paul pivoted to, hey, it's the dollar that's weakened, and we've got to do something about the dollar. Well, the only way you can solve the dollar problem is if you move away from the fake fiat currency created by a criminal Federal Reserve.
[00:16:45] And I think that Kurt Crosby has got one of the key ways to start our way back. Let's first stop paying interest. Secondly, let's find a way, if they created the debt out of thin air, we can eliminate it out of thin air so that, you know, a lot of people don't believe that, but I certainly do. If you create debt by fraud, then, you know, you can just abolish the fraud. There's no statute of limitations on fraud, so there you go. Kurt, but I think you're on to something, and I think it's a starting point, and I think JFK did it. I think it could be done again. You know, Donald's got a real opportunity.
[00:17:13] Rand Paul opened the door for him to jump right through it before the midterms. We could abolish the Federal Reserve. We could abolish the IRS. I mean, we could take the, you know, the driver's seat for the elections, Kurt. Oh, yeah. I mean, just imagine the excitement of stuff like that going on, man, Sam. I mean, they're always looking for something to run on. I mean, they got a boatload of things, but like Heath always says,
[00:17:43] the typical Republican, and I'd call them the insiders or the basically what I'd call the keen men, basically, they're going to kind of always use the little old tidbits and pretend like they're going to do something but really end up not doing anything. But the movers and shakers, there's a few of them, you know, the real free men that are working hard
[00:18:11] that would do it like Ron Paul or Rand Paul or some great examples of them. Yeah, and I'm kind of thinking if we can do, you know, tours of, oh, what's that prison that's off of San Francisco? What's that called? Alcatraz. If we can do, you know, tours of Alcatraz, why can't we tour the Federal Reserve, man? Why can't we tour the, you know, Fort Knox and stuff like that? You know what I'm talking about? No.
[00:18:37] They could be like, hey, for a copper penny, we don't use them anymore, but for a copper penny, you can go see Fort Knox, you know. What do you think, Kurt? Well, yeah, it might be a way to eliminate the debt as well, you know. Just anybody who wants to see Fort Knox, you know, Andy up, you know. I mean, some guys want to go to the moon, you know. And that's a pretty good destination, tourist opportunity. I'd rather see Fort Knox than go to the moon, by the way. It'll be a lot safer, just saying.
[00:19:07] You can see the moon, you just look outside. You can't see Fort Knox, you know. Oh, good point there, yeah. I'd also like to see the creature from Jekyll Island go on there to Jekyll Island, Georgia, you know, see where they hatched the plan to create the fake dishonest Fed in the first place. It was a criminal act then, and it should be held as a criminal act now. And, you know, Donald Trump should, you know, call those folks out as criminals and say, you know, anybody who's continuing it, you know, we've got to look at you, too. And so we can just start there.
[00:19:35] By the way, Caroline Leavitt is bowing out as the White House secretary. So she's going to step down. She says she wants to spend some time with her children and her family. I think she's done a tremendous job when she's been there. And I think that, you know, Donald Trump is very, very gracious to her and kind on her way out. She'll end at the end of the month and go back to her family. Trump says that she'll continue to be an outside personal advisor. I think that's pretty neat and pretty cool.
[00:20:02] And I'm running for the office of press secretary, Kurt. What do you think of that? Perfect. That's great. She can take care of her baby, and you can run the operation and really get to the bottom of things, Sam. Yeah, no, I don't know how you run for that office, Heath. I'm still trying to figure that part out. I'm just making it known that I'm available to serve President Donald J. Trump, my friend. Nice, yeah. That'd be awesome. All right. Anyway, I found that interesting.
[00:20:33] Go ahead, sir. I just think it'd be awesome for you to actually give some straight answers and not just, you know, run circles around the press with talking points. So, yeah. All right. There's a ton in the economy about the, you know, stock market, about jobs, about this and that. But there was an interesting question everybody's bantering around right now. And here's the question I want you guys to answer, and then I'll give you my thoughts. AI boom meets a new question.
[00:21:04] How many jobs will AI destroy? Artificial intelligence continues to drive enormous technology investments, but people are saying that it's restructuring workforces and automating functions that, you know, hey, people used to do. What's going to happen? How many jobs are going to be left? Are we all out of a job? It's a big discussion point right now. Your answer first, Kurt.
[00:21:30] Well, you know, like you said, the AI question is, hey, how many of those jobs are really real? And or, like, how many of those tech boys will just be replaced by some iRobot, you know? And then what are they going to do? I guess at least they could have more. There's more corridors available for signs that say we'll, you know, have trouble, we'll work for food or whatever.
[00:22:00] So there is that. But, you know, the real growth industry in government is this whole fraud thing. I mean, if they these computer boys want to really find a space, there's a heck of a lot of fraud out there. I mean, one of the pieces I saw lately was talking about how I'm trying to remember who did it.
[00:22:23] But they looked at it and they said when they first got in with the Biden administration first got in there, there was something like 80 guys watching fraud in the Medicare, Medicaid area. And they got rid of 76 of them.
[00:22:41] So, you know, I mean, I'm thinking we need a whole bunch of those IRS agents watching the fraud going on that goes right from the checks that we write to all these people. You know, there were reports about all these guys getting, what, six grand a month for people that weren't even there.
[00:23:05] I'm talking about, you know, all these paychecks we send out from Medicare and Medicaid. It's over a trillion dollars a year. But, you know, so there's plenty of ways that these AI displaced individuals could find something to do, I think. But who knows for sure what will happen on that. What do you think? Heath? Yeah, I think we have a huge shift that's coming.
[00:23:32] I think next year is going to be a big, big move in the replacement of jobs. It was DoorDash just got the authorization to do drone pickups and drop-offs. So you've got DoorDash is now utilizing AI to do so. You've got a few of these things that are happening very rapidly. So we'll see how this works.
[00:24:02] But I'd be supporting those who have, you know, tech backgrounds to jump into cybersecurity. All right, hang on, everybody. That's a good jumping point. We'll take a quick pause. Come right back. Hard-hitting news that ever should be used to use. I'd rather, instead of being a pizza delivery guy and running around in the heat and everything else, I'd rather be one of the drone flyers. You know what I'm talking about? Just saying. All right, hang tight. I'm Sam Bushman, hard-hitting news that ever should be used to use straight ahead. God save our constitutional republic.
