[00:00:04] Broadcasting live from atop the Rocky Mountains, the crossroads of the West, you are listening to the Liberty Roundtable Radio Talk Show. Washington continues the clown show. Charlie Kirk's family decides to sue. Epstein Files, well, the truth comes out.
[00:00:31] J.D. Vance betrays conservatives. Congress on permanent recess. The Federal Reserve raises rates. Trump continues war but says it's going to end soon. Haven't we heard that since February? Happy to have you along, my fellow Americans. Sam Bushman with hard-hitting news networks refuse to use and it all starts now.
[00:00:56] Our guest today, Mr. Eldon Stahl, well-known field director for the John Birch Society, JBS.org. Also, The New American, one of the incredible news sources in the country today. They've been doing it for longer than I've been alive and they've been true to the mission. TheNewAmerican.com. Eldon, welcome back to Liberty Roundtable Live, sir. Thank you, Sam. It's always a pleasure to be here. All right, Washington, D.C. continues the clown show.
[00:01:27] There's so much to discuss with this, it's hard to even focus on it. But I'm saying they're continuing the clown show because the House just took off again. They're taking off so they can work on the elections. But they left early because Massey's trying to go ahead and impeach Pete Hessek. And all these strange things are happening. Okay, Congress heads back on vacation.
[00:01:55] Epstein questions happen. Political bombshells everywhere. The Democrats are taking over. I mean, this is a tragic situation. The Federal Reserve raises its benchmark interest rates. Donald got somebody else in there to lower the rates. Neither of them should be manipulating the rates. We should shut down the Federal Reserve yesterday. But no discussion of that. They raised it a quarter percent.
[00:02:24] 3.75 to 4 is the range now. And that's the highest it's been or the first time they've changed it since 2023. Fed officials cited what they call persistent above target inflation. And signaled that another increase could come before the end of 2026. Merry Christmas. Happy New Year. Happy elections. What do you want to say to this one, Eldon? That's a lot of things there.
[00:02:53] But, you know, so far as leaving early for recess, yeah, I think Thomas Massey certainly has a factor in that. Because there's two things he's done. Not just the privilege resolution to impeach Secretary of War Hegseth.
[00:03:13] But also the discharge petition for the second, I guess, version of the Epstein Transparency Act. And so he's gotten up to, I think, 190 signatures. He needs 218 to force a floor vote on that. Yeah.
[00:03:38] And they're afraid that he'll actually get it done because they know there's support for it from the American people. Yeah. Melvin? Yep. And so he's, you know, I think it shows what even one very dedicated, principled congressman can do. Imagine if we had a dozen of those or more. What would happen? What change could be made?
[00:04:07] So you don't have to, you know, change 535 districts. You can even change a few. And we've done that over the years. And there's a few critical ones that could change the whole direction of Congress, right? Oh, yeah. Yeah.
[00:04:24] So it's really, you know, your most important election, we've always said, is really your congressman, your congressional election. So the headline now needs to be updated, ladies and gentlemen. The House leaves Washington early to prevent a headsick impeachment and an Epstein measure remaining unresolved.
[00:04:53] See, the point is that a bunch of Democrats would go along with Massey and others. Seven Democrats already went against the mainstream and said, hey, we want to stop this war. Now we'll see what the Senate does with that. But Speaker Mike Johnson released the House early for, quote, midterm campaigning. Representative Thomas Massey, in my opinion, doing a great job.
[00:05:17] But yet the Republicans, they're the ones that have literally attacked anybody conservative, anybody that's really doing what we want done. Anybody who's really standing for MAGA, believe it or not. Sad to say, it seems like Massey's more MAGA, if you want to use MAGA the right term, than even Trump and Johnson by far. This is interesting because we're seeing people's true colors when we actually have the mojo to get things done.
[00:05:45] The Democrats would side with Massey on a lot of these things and several Republicans would defect. And the bottom line is Mike Johnson would lose control of the House if this was allowed to continue. So he had to bail. They've got about 105 working days as the guests for this year. Lower than it's been in decades, folks. Because they're a do-nothing Congress. They've literally stymied or shut down, stymied Trump. They've shut down Green. They kicked Green out. They, you know, shut down Massey.
[00:06:15] Now they kick Massey out. Anything truly getting something done has been absolutely shut down by either Trump or Johnson. Isn't that fascinating, Eldon? Yeah, it is interesting to see all of that happening. And, you know, yeah, people's true colors come out. You start to see who's a friend of liberty, who's not. And it seems like a foregone conclusion, at least in all these different analysis.
[00:06:45] But who knows? I'm sure we're up for more surprises to come so far as the election in Congress. Well, there's a lot of leaks going on right now. And this is interesting that they held on to a lot of these leaks before the midterm elections, which I find interesting. So the next headline says this. Charlie Kirk's family to sue officials over security lapse in Charlie Kirk's assassination.
[00:07:13] The family of Charlie Kirk has now announced their intention to file a lawsuit against Utah Valley University officials for alleged security failures that they believe led to his assassination a year ago, September.
[00:07:30] In a wrongful death notice issued on Wednesday, the family accused the university of reckless decisions and stunning failures, which created a foreseeable danger. In other words, you could foresee the danger, ultimately resulting in his death at the outdoor campus event.
[00:07:52] The notice basically criticizes the UVU police for not having a proper security plan in place, even though they knew of potential dangers. And so they say the rooftops were a danger. They didn't have a plan. They didn't have an appropriate security briefing. And so now there's some real culpability there. I'm telling you, there's going to be a payout to Kirk's family on this thing.
[00:08:17] Now, I brought this up back a year ago at the time with, I think, Sheriff Richard Mack and others and said, hey, the security was a serious, serious problem. People criticized me for that, saying, oh, how dare you say that at this time? I'm just telling you, I called it right a year ago. Charlie Kirk's family agrees with me so much so that they file a lawsuit. Eldon? Well, I think they have a fairly good case they could make for that.
[00:08:43] We'll see what the courts rule and, you know, how this plays out. But, yeah, this is, you know, this is something that was, you know, if you're familiar with that UVU campus and that amphitheater,
[00:09:04] that amphitheater is surrounded by rooftops where, you know, probably dozens of places that would be adequate for somebody as a sniper to put up a perch and fire a shot and assassinate Charlie Kirk. It's just, it's kind of weird to describe how the campus is, but it's buildings on top of buildings. You could, there's tunnels under tunnels.
[00:09:33] It creates virtually a fishbowl is what it creates. Yeah. Yeah. A real, I mean, just asking for trouble in a way. And anybody would know to a high profile figure like that, that's been, you know, there's been threats of assassination against Trump. There's been, you know, all kinds of people have said all kinds of negative things about Charlie Kirk. And, you know, he goes into this place. I don't know why they didn't have it inside an auditorium. That would be a much safer place to have the event.
[00:10:01] And I'm not here to criticize the security, but I am here to say, hey, folks, there needs to be some, you know, assessment of accountability there. I don't even believe the official story about Charlie Kirk's death, by the way. That's just my opinion to which I'm entitled. But I'm telling you, this thing is very, very strange indeed. All right. That story is interesting. We'll keep an eye on that lawsuit as it unfolds, ladies and gentlemen. Also, Vanity Fair's in the news. Now, they're not my favorite news organization.
[00:10:30] Why don't you skip the break, please? All right. They're not my favorite group of people, but they are reporting something very fascinating. Before the midterms, it's interesting. The Democrats are unloading, ladies and gentlemen. Vanity Fair, primarily a Democrat promoting rag, if you will. But Vanity Fair now reports that J.D. Vance was trying to help Hillary Clinton defeat Donald Trump in 2016.
[00:10:56] And the article itself says that Vance was offering, quote, back channel secret advice to Clinton's campaign, hoping to help her get elected. Now, think about that, Eldon. And it's one thing to say, oh, he wasn't for Trump at the beginning, but now he is. That's one thing. But when you're literally, what? Wasn't he a senator? Or who was J.D. Vance before? He was U.S. senator.
[00:11:21] So you got a U.S. Republican senator literally using back channels to help the Democrats while the Democrats are filing this Russiagate lie, while the Democrats are filing all this dishonest Russiagate stuff and then spying on the Trump campaign and using inside information from Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton and everything else. And then you've got J.D. Vance back channeling information to help Hillary beat Trump.
[00:11:48] Then somehow Vance changes his mind, decides to go with Trump. Trump picks him. He becomes the VP pick and then the VP of the United States. And now he's going to use that as his launch pad for 2028 to say he's the inside guy or he should be the. It's one thing to not be for somebody. It's another thing to change your mind on somebody. Glenn Beck wasn't for Trump, but then he changed his mind and now he's for Trump. But see, Glenn Beck's just a talk show host, an outsider, so to speak.
[00:12:16] When you're inside government and you're a senator and you're leaking information to the opposite party so that your party's candidate does not get elected and then you're changing your mind and then you use that as a launch pad. Now you're vice president and you become president. That's a different discussion, Eldon, in my opinion. And it gets leaked right now. We just find this out right now. Wow. There's plans in the works happening where the Democrats are betraying Vance before the midterms.
[00:12:46] I call it election fraud that we didn't know this before back in 16 and now. Eldon? Yeah. I, of course, don't know how true that report is, but we, of course, we do know that Vance was not. Well, J.D. Vance admits it, but what he says is it's not like you're characterizing it. It wasn't that way. Yeah, I gave some advice to her, but I didn't really try to help her get elected.
[00:13:12] And yeah, there was some back channel dealings, but it's not the advice you're claiming it is. And now the spin doctors go to work, but he admits it. Okay. Well, I guess we'll see what comes of that. But, but, uh, uh, that, uh, that he's going to have to have some explaining to do on that. I doubt it. I don't think the Republicans will explain anything. I think they're all in recess and they're not talking to you, buddy.
[00:13:40] Well, he's not in Congress right now, but, uh, you know, he is the vice president. So yeah, he's even harder to talk to than a member of Congress on vacation. Right. In a sense. Yes. So I just find that whole thing. Very, very strange. Like I say, if you're a Senator and you're giving back channel information to the other party's candidate, are there any repercussions or any rules or anything else about that? To me, it's disingenuous and it's got ethical problems at the least.
[00:14:10] But you wonder if there's some repercussions for that. I mean, what Senate inside information might you have had? If you're doing that, did you reach out to other people on the quote Obama side or the whatever side to get any information? I mean, what other connections do you have is the question. Right. Yeah. It's, that's quite a question. It's not just like, Hey, some redneck didn't like Donald at first, but then they kind of came around and now they like him.
[00:14:39] You're talking about an elected Senator back channeling to the opposite party information to get the opposite party elected. Then before he was Senator, but he was kind of up, up and coming. You might say. Right. It's like, yeah. So I'm just telling you that that ought to be investigated until the cows come home is the least I'm saying. And ethically, I think it's a big problem. And why do we not find this out? This happened in 2015 for the 16 election. It's been over a decade.
[00:15:08] And now we're finding this out after JD's already made. Why didn't they use that when he was running for VP? Yeah. Right. There's insider training between these parties is the point that I'm making. Right. Yeah. Yeah. Might JD Vance be leaking to the Kamala Harris AOC campaign to help them get elected to then they'll put him in a cabinet position somewhere.
[00:15:34] I mean, it sounds far fetched, but I'm saying this is insanity already. All right. Let's move along from that scandal to the next one. Now, Tucker Carlson's in the news. Tucker Carlson is making a stunning claim. That the order to cover up the Epstein files came directly from Donald Trump. Here's the video from Tucker to talk about it. Then we'll discuss. All of this information is on the Internet.
[00:16:03] Everybody who cares to know knows it. They're not conspiracy theorists. They're not mentally ill. And Pam Bondi knows it. And she's talked about it a lot. And she goes on Fox and she's like, actually, it's all true. And we've got thousands of videos of underage girls being abused. And I have the client list on my desk and I'm going to release all of this. And then four days ago, she comes out with an official statement from the Department of Justice saying, actually, no, he did kill himself. We know that for a fact.
[00:16:29] And here's an edited video from an irrelevant angle that proves it, even though, of course, it does not at all prove it. And we have no evidence that he hurt anybody. We're not indicting anyone. And his former girlfriend, Glenn Maxwell, is in jail. And that's enough. And he's dead. And it was a natural death. And like, shut up, conspiracy theorists. And people who voted for Trump, not the left, Trump voters rise up on the Internet in full revolt. And not just on Twitter, where there are some wackos, to be honest,
[00:16:58] and me, you know, non-wackos too, but like normal people, you know, 65-year-old Trump voters who were like, I don't, you know, believe that aliens join the government or anything, but you're lying to me. And not only are you lying to me, you're patronizing me and calling me names when I ask questions. You're acting like the freaking liberals do. All of this information is on the Internet. There you have it, ladies and gentlemen. That was brought to us by the Daily Mail. And so, you know, Tucker Carlson is documenting that, you know,
[00:17:24] Pam Bondi and Donald Trump, they admitted that they have all the goods, but then they backtracked on that and literally covered it up. And so, you know, MAGA is falling apart as a result of this dishonesty, Eldon. Yeah, this is kind of an Achilles heel, you might say, but people are wondering what is going on? Why is there such angst about releasing these files?
[00:17:56] Why is this happening? And I don't know that we've got some, any real clear answers on that, but it's kind of like in politics, you might say this is forcing somebody to defend the indefensible. Why should these files not be released? There's really no defense for that.
[00:18:27] And so, of course, politically, you know, of course you can talk about morality and all that, but politically, this is just going to be really detrimental for the Republicans, especially. Well, it is. And this is the interesting thing. This comes out again by Tucker Carlson right before the midterms. I find that very interesting as well. I don't have a problem with Tucker Carlson doubling down and telling his side of the story,
[00:18:56] but we see this and we see Trump doing this. And I'm kind of going when Trump does that, then he calls me a bad guy that I'm somehow a Democrat hoax because I want the truth on the Epstein files and everything else. I mean, the problem is Donald Trump's words now are betraying him. He attacks me. And as Tucker wisely points out, attacks general conservatives that, you know, hey, we're pretty sound, grounded people and we want the truth on this. And Donald just mocks us. Well, now it gets worse.
[00:19:25] Back when the war started in February, 2026, it was February 28th, I guess, several months ago, seven months ago now or whatever it is, I said, hey, if we're not careful, we're going to be committing war crimes. This is bad. We shouldn't be doing this. We shouldn't be attacking our adversaries without a congressional approval, without a scope of war or anything else. Donald's, you know, and I got criticized big time for that. How dare you? You can't speak out against Trump like that, Sam. Da, da, da, da, da. Now the United Nations, and I'm not a fan of the UN either, but again, more dirt,
[00:19:54] more information. UN backed experts say there are reasonable grounds to believe that the US committed international war crimes in two Iran strikes. Experts committed by, or commissioned by, the UN Human Rights Council said their investigation found that reasonable grounds are that, hey, on the first day of the war, we committed two strikes that created war crimes. The experts said the two strikes
[00:20:24] killed at least 178 civilians, and their finding is an investigative conclusion, by the way, at this point, not a criminal court judgment. But you've got the international world claiming that Benjamin Netanyahu is a war criminal, and now Donald's tied in with that, and now these allegations, it is not looking good here. You can say, well, there's nothing to this. Well, they attacked a school, and they attacked whatever else. I can't remember. But anyway, there's two scenarios where a bunch of civilians died.
[00:20:54] Donald and company denying one. Usually they say there's nothing official until it's been denied. And then the other one, now they're saying they're looking into it. But this is disaster on the world stage when we're arguing with everybody about tariffs and the midterms. The Democrats are most likely going to take the House and a possible chance of the Senate. I mean, it'll make Donald Trump a quadruple super lame duck, to say the least, Eldon. Yeah. Yeah. It's, I mean, the war, even though they don't like to call it that,
[00:21:24] that is not going well. So many promises have been broken. The Constitution has been violated over and over. And it seems, well, you know, in some of the impeachment articles that Massey has introduced, that there's, there was a concerted effort under Hegseth to get rid of certain protocols
[00:21:53] to minimize civilian casualties, which had apparently, you know, longstanding, understandably, rules for engagement and hostilities. And of course, we know that Iran never attacked the United States. All the arguments for imminent threat were just, you know, pretty much nothing. There, there wasn't, you know, why would Iran want to attack the U.S. anyway? Very dumb.
[00:22:23] But, it, it's just a, a big, a big disaster. disaster. And, um, it, I don't know. It seems like even though Trump wasn't assassinated, a lot of Trump's former policies were. And the truth to that, and there's two headlines that I want to get in before the end of this half hour that really relate to this. First one says, new photos show extensive damages to U.S.
[00:22:52] bases from Iranian attacks. CBS news published photos that said came from active service, service members showing the damage done, Iranian missiles and drone attacks. And the, um, anyway, in Saudi Arabia, there's a base, there's all kinds of, and Trump basically said, we decimated them. We won the war where they can't fight back anymore. And now we see this extensive damage that was not reported.
[00:23:20] So now this proves that Donald's lying. And it also proves the media is involved in carrying out Donald's lies until CBS news decided to break ranks right before the midterms. Isn't that interesting? Also, the next headline says we have virtually unlimited amounts quote, and Trump is now talking about how much munitions we have. We have unlimited amounts. And Trump basically says, Hey, there's treasonous reporting that we don't have, um, enough munitions.
[00:23:50] It's treasonous to report that. But what's the truth? Do we really have virtually unlimited amounts? Like the president says, or are others who are reporting that we've depleted what we have? Who's telling the truth? And when Trump calls the side, claiming that we have drained down our munitions, treasonous, we've upped the ante quite a bit for those discussions. It's going to be a fiery midterm discussion about this. And then Trump says the war's almost over. Believe me, trust me. Hasn't he been saying that for seven months?
[00:24:18] We've been lied to folks is the bottom line. I spoke out against Trump. People criticize me. And now you're finding out he's playing games with your heads. People. I hate to tell you that. And I hate to attack Trump, but I'm telling you the truth. He's lying to you is the problem. And so did Vance lie to you. All right. I'm Sam Bushman. Ladies and gentlemen, Eldon Stahl with me. JBS.org, the new American.com. God save our constitutional republic.
