Consumer confidence falls to its lowest level since 2014, they say.
[00:01:50] The conference board, I guess, reported that it fell to 81.9 down from 88.6 in August. And consumer assessments of current conditions and their expectations, I guess, well, they're all declining because everybody's just concerned. There's just no money. There's concern about jobs, even though there's, you know, decent job right now.
[00:02:17] But everybody believes it'll kind of come to an end. Everyone believes that inflation is just getting underway. It's not going to stop. And people are fearful it's going to be back kind of into the 80s time. And the question becomes they'll punish Donald in the midterms for it, sadly and wrongfully so in many ways. At the same time, you know, what do you do? Everybody wants changes. The economy's stupid. And that's kind of what we're back to, Sheriff. Yeah, it is. James Carville, his invention of that political statement.
[00:02:49] It's the economy, stupid. Maybe it kind of goes along with the KISS, keep it simple, stupid. But, no, it's the biggest question I have. First of all, the Democrats are really supporting Iran and loving it that they're actually winning some of the political jockeying regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
[00:03:13] And the Democrats are thrilled with anything that hurts the country because Trump gets the blame. That's why President George Washington said that there shouldn't be parties because we would be just turning everything over to corrupt politicians. And that is exactly what we've done.
[00:03:35] And we as Americans and our own government, especially Washington, D.C., we don't listen for whom the name of the city was made. And that's President George Washington, the father of our country. Oh, we'll name a city and a state after him, but we will not listen to what he said. We certainly won't do what he said. But that's the problem right there, Sam. I also ask this question.
[00:04:04] If because of gasoline shortages and the price goes up, scarcity makes price go up. Yeah, not enough supply. Yeah, but I haven't seen more. That's my point, Sam. I haven't seen one line at any gas station anywhere. Not one line. Nobody's waiting for gas. But the prices keep going and going up and basically doubled.
[00:04:32] If you go back to the midterm of the Biden administration, it's doubled. And this is crazy. So if it's so scarce and the prices have to keep going up and up and up, where are the lines? I remember the lines of 1974. Oh, so do I. You had to basically buy based on your license plate, even or odd and all that weird stuff, right? Yeah, it was crazy.
[00:04:57] People were getting in fights, lined up blocks to get a couple of gallons of gas. So no, it's it does. Some of it just doesn't fit. And I'm not trying to bring bad luck to everybody. Oh, gosh, we better start having lines because they'll do that. And we know in 1974 it was a lie. It was a lie. It was a lie. In fact, they used that to create the Energy Department, which has been a disaster ever since. So Trump should abolish the Energy Department.
[00:05:28] And the other thing is that I don't think we have an oil problem. We got plenty of oil in America. We have a refining problem because we've depended on foreign nations for so long. It's time to really teach the American people about independence here and start to crank up our refineries and say, look, we don't need to go elsewhere for oil at all. And if the world wants to play games with, you know, the OPEC cartels or whoever else, and they want to have fun on the international stage and debate oil and shut down countries and cause problems, go ahead. But you ain't doing that to us.
[00:05:56] That's what we need to do and say for America first, Sheriff. Well, yes. And Sam, let's be real clear here. Historically, Obama did this and Biden did this. They shut down the oil production in the United States, especially the pipelines. They didn't like that because, oh, that's a bad on the environment. So they really created a scarcity when they never needed to. And so who did they go to?
[00:06:23] They're acting like they're pretending that they're saving America and we're going green in America and we're saving the environment. And the only thing they did is they bought oil from our enemies. And their oil is a lot dirtier than America because America has a lot of restrictions and ways of making cleaner oil and gasoline that doesn't affect the environment as much.
[00:06:49] Why would you ever support bringing dirty oil all the way across the ocean anyway? They did. Both of them did. I know. I know they did. And that's why I'm saying it's insane folks that were being played. And now what they're trying to do is blame it on Trump. And, you know, whether you agree or disagree on Trump with a lot of things, that's a debate for later. I'm not a super Trump fan because I think there's a lot of things that he's done that are of great concern. At the same time, though, I believe a lot of this negativity towards Trump is because people are confused.
[00:07:16] The mainstream press is spinning so many lies about so many different things. The $800 million in the last segment I was mentioning that Trump's trying to save the American taxpayers. And they're like, oh, no, you can't do that. And every single time Trump tries to do something good for the country, they shut him down. He's trying to basically shut down a lot of these wind farms that are really expensive, causing problems to the environment, not valuable. Trump's trying to shut those down. And now you got California and somewhere on the East Coast, too, suing President Trump over
[00:07:45] it, going, you can't shut down our wind farms. Well, the problem is Congress forced the subsidy of it. Now Trump's trying to dial it back and he can't get it done because there's lawsuits and Congress is on vacation and they won't back the president. I mean, it's just crazy town. But it gets worse. Because the Biden administration wielded the country's most powerful law enforcement tools
[00:08:10] to spy on Republicans with little concern on whether they violated the Constitution or not, Sheriff. That's according to new evidence unearthed by congressional investigators. Of course. Now they say Biden era Department of Justice, special prosecutor, Jack Smith was so persuaded of the righteousness of his investigation that he absolutely ignored all constitutional protections.
[00:08:39] Smith made repeated intrusions into the communications of members of Congress. That's the same branch of government tasked with oversight on the DOJ and the FBI secret work. Members of Congress's communications are protected under the, quote, speech or debate clause. And Jack Smith knows that, folks. But he ignored the Constitution to spy on Republicans.
[00:09:08] The report released states that Jack Smith violated this clause. And anyway, the FBI and the DOJ paid little mind to the truth and to accountability. But here's my problem with it, Sheriff. So Jack Smith goes before Congress yesterday or whatever. They have this battle or whatever. And Jack says this and they said that. And everybody looked stupid. But here's the end of the day question that I have.
[00:09:33] I don't want to hear reports over and over and over that Jack Smith was evil, that he was bad, that he violated the law, that he did this, that he did that, that he did. I just want, look, if there's the evidence, convict, toss them in the clink, throw away the key. Otherwise, just let him go and say we don't care that he was dishonest and he spied on everybody. But don't just tell me all day long how horrible it was, how law-violating it was,
[00:10:01] and then go on vacation and don't do anything about it. Don't do that to me, Sheriff. I totally agree with you, Sam. There's too much of that. I remember Trey Gowdy way back in 2015 and he was pointing his finger at the director of the Drug Enforcement Administration and all these DEA agents having sex parties while they're down in Colombia and Mexico and other places.
[00:10:24] And all the prostitutes were provided by the cartels who these men were supposed to be fighting. Oh, no. Nothing happens. No crime. No. Then we have Operation whatever it is where guns went south of the border. What's it called? Operation Gunwalker or whatever you want to... What's that thing called? Sheriff. Fast and Furious. Fast and Furious because they changed the name several times. No one was accountable for that. I mean, come on, Republicans.

[00:13:11] I don't know him, but he's very supportive. And I think he's on our posse. It looks like he is. Because he's telling everybody else to be. Anyway, this is his. He sent me a typed letter. Very nice. His name's Lloyd from Texas. And he said, First, I would like to say that I have read your book and think you have done an excellent job of documenting what the Democrat Party has become and has always been to a greater or lesser degree.
[00:13:40] And when any appropriate opportunity presents itself, suggests that every individual go to CSPOA website, become a member, and buy your book. My only critique is that there are others beside Democrats who are attempting to destroy what I shall call the primal Constitution. And he's absolutely correct.
[00:14:08] And we would never argue with that part. But right now, the reason for everyone, just so you know, the reason we attack the Democrat Party so majorly in this book is because they're posing the greatest threat to our Constitution right now than any other entity. They're the primary catalyst at this point. Right. And in law enforcement and in military,
[00:14:36] you always strike at the greatest threat first. This right now is the greatest threat. No one can tell me a single Republican who has agreed that we need to become a socialist-communist country. I haven't found one. They vote for it a lot. I can show you a bunch. I can show you a billion. But they don't speak out for it blatantly. Right. You know, so... Yeah. This is not a pro-Republican...
[00:15:05] This is not a pro-Republican book. It's not even a pro-Trump book. It's just telling the truth about what the Democrats have been doing to take us towards a communist country replacing our Constitution with the Communist Manifesto. And folks, let's make it. It does make the point in the book too, Sheriff, that pretty much anybody who goes along with these principles becomes part of the cabal and the problem, really. It does make that point pretty clear as well. Yeah, of course. Yes.
[00:15:34] And so let's just make the bottom line that the book is presenting this thesis. Okay? You can have freedom or you can have communism. You cannot have both. Communism. Communism is the antithesis of civil rights and individual liberty. It's government control. It's authoritarian. And it's always ended up with dictatorial,
[00:16:04] genocidal maniacs as leaders of those countries. Yeah. Think King Nebuchadnezzar of yesteryear and think of like Mao Zedong or somebody of modern times kind of a thing to get your understanding together, folks. All these roads, whether it's communism, fascism, socialism, they all lead to the same road, which is a godless dictatorial style government for sure. But it's getting worse in America too. I don't know if you know this, but there's a... Well, first off, Sheriff, do you have your AC on right now?
[00:16:34] It's due to come on automatically, but right at this point, it is not on. All right. But it's due to come on automatically. I'm glad because you're safe. My AC is on and it remains on. But a federal judge, his name is Robert Pittman, I guess he's of the Western District of Texas, he ruled now that the lack of air conditioning in most Texas prisons violates the constitutional mandate
[00:17:02] and ban on cruel and unusual punishment. And he ordered the state to cool all of their lockups and you got to get it done. He gave a timeline, got to have it done by the end of 2029. He's going to have progress markers. You got to report in every six months and report the deal. They say about two thirds of Texas is roughly 140,000 inmates live without air conditioning
[00:17:31] where they say indoor temperatures oftentimes are above 100. And the judge says financial concerns aren't a problem. No excuse, ladies and gentlemen. Noting the states isn't using a lot of the money that they have allocated and the prison agency disagreed with the ruling and plans to appeal on this thing. They say they've been steadily adding air conditioned beds and they have heat mitigation measures in place
[00:18:00] and plaintiff lawyers and former inmates called the decision a precedent for other states to follow. Sheriff, what do you think? We got to give AC to the prisoners in modern day, sir. Well, whatever happened to the tent city from Joe Arpaio that you and I are very familiar with? You know, there is an extent to which there has to be
[00:18:28] a livable temperature. A hundred, I find that very difficult to believe. One, that it ever happened or two, that anyone allowed that to happen. Because what about personnel? What about the jailers? What about the corrections officers? You would think they would be complaining about that and if it was provided for them and not the inmates, that's going to be really difficult to handle in court. how do you get that done when you work on the beat and you're with the inmates or whatever, you got a monitor
[00:18:58] out in the yard or you got a monitor in the, when you let people out of their cells to eat and everything else, you know, they're going to be in that heat too. And so something doesn't seem to make sense and pass the test on this for me. But I also will say this though, again, anybody who's criminal seems to have more rights than anybody who's on the, on the same side of the discussion. It seems like, you know, you're saying, hey, so I'm not for prisoners just dying of heat stroke. I'm not for that. I'm not for abuse. But at the same time,
[00:19:28] so let me ask you, did God subject Thomas Jefferson and James Madison and towards Washington and Ben Franklin and all those guys when they were in the sweltering heat back in 1787 and they were working on the constitution, having the constitutional convention and everything? I mean, it was hot and sweltering for them and everything that didn't have any AC, Sheriff. Yeah, exactly. And, you know, I ran a jail before. Jails are not comfortable. Okay. And they're not, they're not supposed to be Sheriff. Yeah, they're not. Well, in most instances,
[00:19:57] they're not. But it's crazy how they're viewing this because they're not, they're not supposed to be vacations. And some of the things that they provide at jail. They are for Gislay and Maxwell. She's chilling, buddy. Yeah, well, some federal, some federal prisons are pretty crazy. For instance, the one that Sam Gerard was in. Not even a fence, you know, and so that's what you call minimum security. And I know that those exist.
[00:20:28] If they're so minimal, then why are they there in the first place? You know, why not just give them an ankle monitor and send them home? Exactly. So, no, we've got some serious prison reform that needs to take place in a lot of areas. This might be one of them if there really is some kind of extreme, you know, abuse and everything else. Then, you know, hey, are prisoners dying from it? Do we have heat stroke? Are they going to the hospital? What's happening? You know, I don't have a problem with it getting a little warmer than normal life. It's not supposed to be comfortable,
[00:20:57] but you can use fans, sheriff, and design buildings to where it's not that hot. In the olden days, they did it all the time. And I'm not saying it was cool like AC, but it wasn't so hot. People couldn't survive. Come on now. So something's just not right with this discussion. No, it doesn't look right. It really doesn't. And to your point, has anybody been taken to the hospital because of it? And I just don't see it. I really don't. I don't. This is another judge, I think, going overboard.
[00:21:27] And believe me, it's a way to make the Republicans and the conservatives look bad right before the election, sheriff, in my opinion. Well, very well could be. Yeah. Yeah. Because you got to make sure Texas sure doesn't go with the Republicans. You know what I'm saying? They've been charged in their disaster. And man, they're killing people in prisons with heat strokes. It's crazy down there. See? And then when you really get pay dirt and you get the details, it'll be after the election. It'll be like, well, it's not really that bad. We're not talking about that. We're just saying. And it'll be like that in the news. That's how they do it all the time.
[00:21:56] You got to read stories upside down to find out what's really going on. And I'm convinced it's not as this judge makes it sound. Furthermore, we're going to have to have multiple judges look at this because the prison group, the people that run the prisons or whatever, they're going to appeal this thing as they should, sheriff. Yeah, for sure. But I can't wait, though, Sam, for the Democrats to take over Congress again and the White House because I just love to see those illegal aliens and the cartels and the terrorists come into our country.
[00:22:26] And get air conditioning when they're in jail. Oh, they get, yeah, they'll get AC for sure then. I've got a great hamburger to steak and stuff too because, I mean, come on. Yeah. You know? I mean, hamburger these days, I mean, that's just for like the taxpayer. You know what I mean? I mean, this is us. You know? All right. We got a comment real quick, Zach. Somebody's chiming in wants to. Steven thinks it's okay for the Democrats
[00:22:55] to speak the fraud. Yeah. So basically, they're committing fraud and the Republicans think it's just fine to lie about things. And so the bottom line is the Democrats are serious. They'll lie, cheat, steal, punish, throw you in jail, use every dictatorial power they have against you when they're in charge. The Republicans will get back in charge and be like, hey, they did some bad stuff. They're really bad. We don't like what they do. That was horrible. Don't do that anymore. Please stop. You know, they're walking around with bloody faces because they've been beat up so bad and then they're like, hey, we don't really want
[00:23:25] to do that anymore. Let's go on vacation, Sheriff. Let's just take a break because this is just hard stuff. You know, and they got AC in the Capitol. I've been there. Yeah, yeah, no kidding. And, you know, one of our members on the posse is on this show right now and he's making comments about that and the uniparty thing and the Republicans and Democrats and, you know, all that. Sure, it's all there. They play, they all play the same game. No question about that. But right now,
