[00:00:04] Broadcasting live from atop the Rocky Mountains, the crossroads of the West, you are listening to the Liberty Roundtable Radio Talk Show. Happy to have you along, my fellow Americans. Sam Bushman live on your radio. Hard-hitting news the network refused to use that no doubt starts now. White House Press Secretary in the news. I want to talk about her. Federal deficit out of control.
[00:00:34] Newt Gingrich on the campaign trail. That's interesting. That guy is wow. He was the Republican leader in 1996, 2006, 60, 30 years ago. But he has some claims that we'll get into. Trump endorses Netanyahu. Shame on the Donald for that. Keith Ellison in the news, the Attorney General of Minnesota. The guy's a Muslim attacking Americans, claiming he didn't do so, just lying through his teeth. We'll get to that.
[00:01:04] FBI is sweeping probe. We got a lot to cover, ladies and gentlemen, and only a little bit of time. So let's get straight to it. White House Secretary or Press Secretary, Katie Zachariah, I guess is her name. She basically decided to bail in less than a week. Only some say four days on the job. Some say six, whatever. Two White House officials told Reuters News last Friday that Katie has been dismissed as the press secretary.
[00:01:34] Her departure followed questions about her, quote, legal credentials and criticism about her first appearance as the president's spokesperson. Trump said he had asked her to leave and to reconsider continuing in the position. Now, here's my problem with this. Everybody is attacking her relentlessly. And in my opinion, it needs to stop. Okay? Just stop.
[00:02:03] We don't need to make fun of her. We don't need to get into her body. We don't need to, you know, discuss her intelligence. We don't need to. Some people are cut out for the news and the rough and tumble of the media and others are not. Okay? If you call somebody fat or if you mock somebody's intelligence, then they, you know, oftentimes melt down, take it personal. They're not comfortable with it. They just, that doesn't mean they're a bad person.
[00:02:30] It just means that's not where their talents lie or their comfort zone is. Okay? So she might be a great gal. I don't even know her. And that's my point to all of you. None of you even know her. Leave her alone. If she finds out she's not a great fit for something that she thought she might be okay at and that she was asked to do because she's talented elsewhere, then you know what? That's fine. It just means she's not cut out for that kind of position. Take somebody like me who's been in the news for 30 plus years.
[00:03:00] You know, I've had my life threatened. I've had people call me fat, ugly, stupid, blind, clueless. Okay? They've called me everything in the book. I don't give a rip. I don't care what you clowns think if you're not willing to give me a chance, if you're not willing to assess my arguments and see if they're sound, see if they're grounded in fact. Even if you disagree with my arguments, if you're an intelligent person in my view, you would take the time to learn what I'm saying and why. And you can say, well, I disagree with Sam when he says the party's over. Get rid of parties.
[00:03:29] That's just a clown show idea. It's not even a real idea. Okay, fine. But you're dismissing George Washington's farewell address then. And if that's what you want to do, that's fine. But don't pretend that I'm not on stable ground with the point. George Washington made it before I did. I just happen to agree with it. The Constitution, the supreme law of our land doesn't mention parties. So don't tell me we need them or we have to have them. Okay? And many other founding fathers rejected the notion of parties as well.
[00:03:56] And you can see the damage in the factions parties are creating right now, if you don't believe me. When you've got the MAGA fighting the old guard. And then you've got the, you know, young Republicans that are half socialist because they don't know any better. Then you've got Democrats factioned all over the planet. I mean, don't tell me there's no valid points to my ideas there. And so it's okay if we agree to disagree. And I hope we can do it agreeably. And that's what Braver Angels is all about. And I support all that. Because they're wonderful people. And they do a good job.
[00:04:24] And they try to step back a little bit and say, look, let's not make it personal. And I think people are making it personal about poor Katie Zachariah. Let her go in peace. If she's not cut out for it, let's find somebody who is. Maybe Maria Bartiromo will be the news leader. And, you know, then Trump says, well, maybe it's her. Other times Trump says, who needs a press secretary? Well, President Trump, you need one. Because what I would do is let somebody else speak for you that could protect your name and protect what you do.
[00:04:54] Oftentimes you speak out of turn two and then it backfires. But anyway, my whole point about this is lay off. Leave her alone. Give her some grace, please. I don't know her. And neither do 90% of you who are criticizing, criticizing. Look, she may be cut out for other things. I'll give you a quick example to make the point. You know, I'm a talker. I speak. And, you know, some people say that I speak quite well. Others say, Sam, you're a bumbling idiot. You don't have a clue. That's fine. I don't care.
[00:05:21] I'm doing the best I can to stand up for God, family, and country and protect life, liberty, and property. And to do so in the traditions of our founding fathers. That's who I am and what I do. I want to promote these things in the media and our lives. And I learned a long time ago that he who owns the media makes the rules. And I learned a long time ago that the new media needs to take center stage to take back the narrative from the mainstream clowns that are destroying this country in partnership with bureaucrats and professional do-gooders that have every agenda, have every allegiance except to the supreme law of the land and the people that elected them. Right?
[00:05:50] So that's my goal is to bring it back, to take back the narrative. That's who I am. That's what I do. And I've been at it for a long time. Agree or disagree with me, that's fine. You have every right. What I don't like is the personal attacks, though. The difference is I'm in the rumble and tumble of it all, and I can take it. Others can't. It's just not their comfort zone. Well, some people are great writers. My wife is a great writer, for example. But, you know, she's not a great speaker. Actually, she's a way better speaker than she thinks she is.
[00:06:20] But I bring it up because in her mind, she's not a great speaker. And she's not comfortable in the day-to-day speaking. She wants time to put down her thoughts and, you know, write them out. I, compared to her, can't write my way out of a paper bag. Now, if I spend a lot of time, you know, I get a lot of people to help me with punctuation and spelling and sentence structure a little bit. I mean, the concepts I can bring out are quite good.
[00:06:45] If you take a speech that I give and then use AI to translate it into some great prose, it's very good. The concepts are good. The thinking is there. The knowledge is there. But the writing, for me, is just a struggle. I stumble over punctuation and stumble over trying to maybe being blind has something to do with that. Maybe I'm just an idiot. Who knows? But my point is we all have our comfort zones. So just lay off of her. And let's look for a press secretary that would absolutely tell the tale. Who would I want to be a press secretary?
[00:07:14] Oh, man, I think Sam Bushman would be a great one. I'm just kidding. I mean, I could take on the mainstream press and talk to them. You know, a lot of people want to argue with them. What I would do is I'd basically just let them make their points. And then I'd say, you know, that's your point. That's what you think. It's not what we think. And it's not our point. Now, here's our point. And then they'll start to argue with me. And I'll just stop and say, listen, do you want to hear what I have to say or not? If you're going to ask me a question, you're going to give me a chance to answer. You're not going to argue. And if you don't like the answer, it's not time for you to debate the answer with me.
[00:07:44] It's time for you to ask a question. I'll provide the answer. You take it to your newspaper and deliver what I tell you is my answer. Right? It's not time to argue. It's not time to prove you're right and I'm wrong. It's not time to attack me or me attack you or anything else. This is a press conference, which what that means is that I'm going to tell you what the administration is doing, how, why, where we stand. I'm going to answer questions. If you have legitimate, fair, honest questions, I'm going to answer them.
[00:08:10] If you ask clown questions, I'm going to intentionally give you a clown answer. And you need to write it up as it's a clown question. And it was a clown answer that I gave you. Okay? So I would just basically lay down the rules to these people and I would basically force them to obey the rules. I would say, listen, if we're going to have a dialogue, I am the press secretary for President Donald J. Trump. And what that means is I ask you questions too. I don't just hear questions and answer them and have you then frame me in a negative light
[00:08:40] or a manipulative light or some unfair, you know, I'm going to ask you members of the press as well. Why am I going to do that? Not because I want to control you, but I want to ask you questions because I want you to really understand something critical. You criticize Doge, for example, mainstream press. You criticize President Trump for trying to decrease expenditures, right? And you just mock him and say he doesn't have permission from Congress.
[00:09:08] And you want every argument to go against Trump because you guys hate Trump. You guys have Trump derangement syndrome and you hate him. I understand that. And I think it's sad. And I think you need to stop and think for yourselves for a change. But nevertheless, the federal deficit reaches roughly $2 billion annually, folks. Think about that. We're losing $2 billion annually. I'm sorry, trillion. I don't know why I said billion. No, no, no. Let me start over.
[00:09:38] Let me just say this right. Wow. The numbers are confusing a little bit. Billions and trillions. All it's got is a B or a T, right? Let me start over. The federal deficit reaches $2 billion in annual debt loss. So we're spending $2 billion each year more than we have. Okay? But the annual debt service now hits $1.36 trillion. So think about that.
[00:10:05] The debt we're paying interest on is $1.6 trillion. It's more than our military. It's more than Medicaid. It's more than everything. $2 billion we're losing annually kind of a thing. And so my question for the mainstream press would be, what do you think about that? This should not be a partisan issue. So, Reuters reported on Monday that the fiscal 2026 deficit was up $2 trillion.
[00:10:35] That's up 12% from last year alone. What do you think about that? It's affecting mortgages, consumer loans, and everything else. My question to the mainstream press is, why is this a partisan issue? Why are you letting it be partisan? Why don't you ask American questions that Americans can answer? [00:12:28] All right. Let me put things in proper perspective, ladies and gentlemen. Sorry for butchering that last little bit there. It's just the numbers are so confusing. Billions, trillions, and I think I had a typo in some of my information here. Remember, Reuters reported these figures October 16th for fiscal year 2026 was ended September the 30th.
[00:12:55] Annual deficit, $1.99 trillion. So basically deficit, $2 trillion. That's up $217 billion, about 12% from the previous year. Okay? Those are the numbers. That number is staggering. I thought we were going to save money under Trump and Doge and everybody else. No, not true. The national debt is more than $40 trillion.
[00:13:21] Annual debt service costs, so interest on the debt, a record $1.36 trillion. Federal revenue, $5.4 trillion. Federal spending, $7.4 trillion. See the $2 trillion? I said billion, and I'm sorry about that. It's the $2 trillion. The billion related to the couple hundred billion that was increased from the previous year.
[00:13:51] I apologize for that. The annual deficit was the largest that has been in five years and the third largest that's ever been on record. All right? That's according to Reuters. Anyway, I apologize to kind of make that a little confusing, right? The deficit, which means the yearly shortfall, is the accumulated amount owed that increases based on the year, right?
[00:14:20] Anyway, there you have that. I thought that was important to clear up, and I apologize for the confusion. A typo had numbers mixed up, and, you know, hey, when it's live radio, I don't get the chance to take it back and redo it or anything, right? So there you have that. Newt Gingrich is in the news, folks, and he had a big old video soundbite or whatever, and he's speaking out. Now, everybody thinks the Democrats are going to get shellacked, or I'm sorry, the Democrats are going to win big time, and the Republicans are going to take a shellacking in the midterm elections in a couple of weeks, right? Week and a half, whatever.
[00:14:50] And everybody's saying the Democrats are up, the polls are up, everybody's promoting the Democrats big time, and the Republicans are on the ropes. I've been guilty of even saying that. But here's the question that we got to ask, and I think it's a fair question that Newt Gingrich brings up. He says, you know what? Do you trust the polls? I don't trust the polls. Well, then why are we relying on them and saying that the Republicans are going to take a slacking and the Democrats are going to win big time? Because that's what we hear in the news. That's what the media tells you over and over and over.
[00:15:19] Could they be manipulating the numbers? Could they be by those claims manipulating outcomes? See, that's a very, very distinct reality and possibility, right? Well, Newt Gingrich on the 2026 midterm election cycle, here's what he says. Hey, I believe the Republicans are going to do very, very well. Yeah. He says, I don't believe the polls. I don't believe what we're being told. I think it's a bunch of fraud, a bunch of bogus.
[00:15:47] He didn't say fraud, but this is bogus. It isn't true. He said, I don't think so. And people are wondering, well, why would we give Newt Gingrich any credit or credibility on this? Well, Newt Gingrich properly predicted that Donald Trump would win in 2016. That was back when nobody thought Trump had a chance. Remember they thought, oh, this clown came down on the elevator. He's been kind of a clown for a long time. He gets in the news. He does cameos everywhere. He argues with everybody.
[00:16:15] He's a super rich philanthropist, New York, you know, magnet, whatever guy. And he's a builder. I mean, the chance of him being successful in politics are almost zero. And, you know, that's what they thought when he came down the escalator. And they even said Republicans and Democrats alike, he doesn't have a prayer. He won't win the primaries. Lo and behold, he got all that done. Well, Nick Gingrich predicted that he would win in 2016. When Donald Trump shocked the world and actually won.
[00:16:45] I bring that up now because, what, eight years later? Is that what it is? Well, six years, four years. I guess it's 10 years later? 2016 and now? Yeah, I guess so. Sorry, 20 years later or 10 years later, I mean, Trump basically, you know, he's not on the ballot, but he says act like he is on the ballot. So he's running around and campaigning and everything else.
[00:17:13] And Newt says that they have a way better chance to win than we think they do. Don't dismiss the Republicans yet. Now, you can say that's just because he's a Republican. You can say whatever you want to. But you know what? Trump has tremendous pulling power. Every time we think Trump's on the ropes or Trump's down or Trump's, he comes back or he somehow dominates or he's somehow successful. Don't think Trump and the Republicans are out is the point Newt Gingrich is making. And you know what? I kind of think there's some validity to what he's saying.
[00:17:42] So we'll see. One of the interesting things is we're going to be covering the midterm elections, folks. Big time. We're going to be doing a Liberty News Radio. 2026, November the 3rd, Tuesday evening. 5 to 10 Mountain Time. 7 to noon or 7 to midnight Eastern Time. Election coverage. And there's going to be a bunch of us doing the coverage. It's led by Liberty Roundtable Live, my show.
[00:18:12] And by our dear friends, Lance Migliaccio, George Ballantyne over at the Big Mig Show. And it's going to be myself. Let me get the list of people here. Sam Bushman, Lance Migliaccio, George Ballantyne. And our two shows are going to promote it live on video and radio. It'll be on all kinds of channels. Rumble, YouTube, X, Truth Social. It'll be everywhere, baby.
[00:18:43] So it'll be myself, Lance Migliaccio, George Ballantyne, James Edwards, well-known with the political cesspool and more. Dr. Scott Bradley, well-known constitutional expert, scholar. Sheriff Richard Mack will be chiming in. Lowell Nelson, who you just heard last half hour, will be chiming in. Peter Scoop Stanton, well-known for the 7-5 radio, will be chiming in. George, oh, I haven't mentioned him. Alex Newman will be chiming in.
[00:19:09] Well-known talker on the weekends and writer for the New American Magazine and writer for the John Birch Society. Does a phenomenal job. Well-known. Lou Moore will be with us, former campaign manager for Ron Paul. Kirk Cosby with us, as you know, the local honey man that has been a co-host with me forever and a half. Ron Edwards, one of the talk show hosts on the Liberty News radio network. So we've got a lot of people going to be chiming in.
[00:19:36] And I'm still adding partners to this broadcast. So understand it's critical. And Newt predicting. And the question becomes, is Newt right? Or is all the polls and all the press and all that you hear right? I'll be the first to admit I've kind of fallen for the Republicans being on the ropes idea that the mainstream press pitches. However, I haven't really fallen for it because of the mainstream press.
[00:20:02] The reason I've kind of thought it was a reality is because I don't really see what the Republicans can point to that they've accomplished. I really don't. I think Congress has undermined President Trump. I think everything Trump's tried to do has been deep-sixed by the deep state. Sicking Congress on Trump to do nothing. Having the courts dismantle most of what Trump does. Congress could solve the problems on a lot of things to get the courts out of the mix and agree with Trump. But they don't.
[00:20:29] They just sit back and go on vacation and recess and everything else. So I really have a hard time seeing what the Republicans have done. But if they can paint a picture that the socialists will destroy this country, and I think that's a factual reality, then I think they can change the game, change the narrative, take back the conversation in a very productive, meaningful way. And I do agree with that view. The Republicans haven't done much. I agree, and it's a sad tale to tell. They've really, really squandered an opportunity of a lifetime, no doubt about it.
[00:20:54] But when you think what the ALCs of the world, what the Maxine Waters of the world, what the clowns, the Hillary Clinton and company, the Barack Obamas and company, what they would do to the country, I'm telling you right now, consider yourself grateful and stand with conservative people, that's for sure. Even though they're not conservative enough, they're better than the train wreck. And Donald's been painting that picture quite well across the country. So there you have that.
[00:21:21] I thought I'd bring that to your attention because it was very unique in the news that came out over the weekend. Trump endorses Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of the Israeli parliamentary election. I think this is a mistake. President Trump endorsed Netanyahu. I guess they got an October 27th election coming up in Israel. And Trump praised Netanyahu's leadership. And he's talked about their cooperation and leadership in military strikes against Iran.
[00:21:50] The endorsement comes as Netanyahu seeks another term in the United States, remains involved in the regional conflict. So let me tell you why I believe it's a mistake. Because the United States has a president, duly elected. And he's the leader of the free world, but he represents people who are for and people who are against Israel.
[00:22:14] And so for President Trump to endorse a leader before an election, I believe creates foreign entanglements that our founding fathers warned against. You can say, Sam, you're a clown. Okay, whatever. But all I'm telling you is I think it's a mistake to get so involved with other countries that you endorse their candidates. It's foreign entanglements that we don't need. And you alienate the bunch of Americans who don't agree with Israel. And I'm one of them. I'm not here to attack Israel.
[00:22:43] I'm just telling you that I'm not here to get involved in their fight. I say let's stay out of it. Let's avoid foreign entanglements like the founding fathers warned. All right, I got to get to Keith Ellison too. He's the attorney general for the state of Minnesota. He now denies that he called Republicans and independents racists and bigots. The problem is it's on video. And so he claims he didn't say it, but it's on video that he said it. And, you know, shame on him for doing that.
[00:23:12] We don't need to call people racist and bigots just because you don't vote for him or stand in his party for the good old boy partisan politics divide and conquer, you know, create factions plan that George Washington warned about. We don't need that FBI has a sweeping probe under the Biden administration and the Barack Obama administration.
[00:23:33] They targeted over 600,000 GOP supporters in an unprecedented surveillance drive. A newly released memo shows that the FBI under former special counsel Jack Smith and the Biden Justice Department absolutely collected sensitive information such as names, birthdays, physical addresses, and personal voting details.
[00:24:03] Back to 2005. The probe known as Arctic Frost had teeth, folks. And I want to know when the Donald Trump administration is going to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. All involved. Get her done, Donald. It'll make a big splash before the midterms. I'll help you. I'll be your press secretary and we'll get it done, brother. Thanks for being alongside for the ride. Ladies and gentlemen, we're everywhere. Spread the news. Share the love. I'm Sam Bushman. God save our constitutional republic.
