[00:00:03] Hi everybody. I thought I would take, you know, a couple of minutes and just go through the ballot with everybody.
[00:00:08] This is going to be brought to you by ABC Auto, love those guys, and also Southwest Vision, which I love, you know that.
[00:00:15] And I miss you all so much in the local hour and wish I was with you on a daily basis so we could shed light on some of these things that are going on.
[00:00:24] But I thought that I would take the ballot and kind of go through it.
[00:00:27] Now there is going to be a meeting, Washington City Library, this Saturday at 4 o'clock.
[00:00:35] And so if you're listening to this, let's see, that would be on the 8th? Yeah, the 8th at 4 o'clock, June 8th.
[00:00:44] And you can find out all about the candidates there in more detail.
[00:00:48] What I'm going to do is, you guys all know how I feel about voting for one of the lesser evils.
[00:00:54] I don't like that. Okay. And I would recommend always voting conscience.
[00:00:59] And if you can't cast a vote for somebody just because they're the better of the two, don't cast a vote.
[00:01:04] Okay. But what I'm going to do for you, because I still get calls asking me for this is, okay, but what if I really want to vote and I just want to vote for the better candidate?
[00:01:14] Lesser of two evils. Okay. Or the better candidate.
[00:01:18] Okay. And either way. So, of course, you know, I'm going to say Phil Lyman.
[00:01:22] Okay. Because Phil's a better man than Spencer Cox. Spencer Cox is just about to put through a juvenile judge that's horrific.
[00:01:31] There are all kinds of things happening under Spencer Cox. I love that Phil Lyman talked about the fact that Spencer Cox put kids in masks much longer, like for a year, for the money, for the cash, for a billion dollars.
[00:01:46] So, you know, certain things could be built. And when you see somebody as reckless as Cox, I would hope and imagine that you would say no more of this, especially after all the shenanigans, all the pronouns, all the trying to go to all of our high schools to try to brainwash the kids.
[00:02:04] I just I don't have any respect for Spencer Cox. So I would absolutely say Phil Lyman and Natalie Claussen on that.
[00:02:13] Okay. Colby Jenkins, I would probably go Colby Jenkins over Celeste Malloy. I'm not a fan of Celeste Malloy. Celeste lied about her address, quite frankly, and then had terrible votes.
[00:02:24] And now she's trying to backpedal to try to save her reputation as far as, hey, you voted terrible. You voted for omnibus bills.
[00:02:32] You voted terrible in the short time that you've been in. And what's kind of fascinating about her is Staley is endorsing her. St. George Mayor Michelle Randall's endorsing her.
[00:02:44] I think Chris Hart over in Santa Clara, they're endorsing her. What is wrong with these guys? Well, there's a lot wrong with all three of them.
[00:02:54] But anyway, all I'm saying is those are her big endorsements because Mike Lee didn't endorse her. Okay. Mike Lee endorsed Colby Jenkins.
[00:03:02] So if you have to vote and you just go, I have to fill in one of those things, I would go Colby Jenkins. Okay.
[00:03:10] Then on Republican for U.S. Senate, John Curtis is horrifying. I hope you guys figured that. I'm sure you guys have figured that out by now.
[00:03:18] He's an environmentalist. He's a liar. He got caught lying on tape about the whole abortion issue.
[00:03:23] Not that that's the most important issue because they never do anything about it anyway.
[00:03:27] But here's the deal. He is an environmentalist and he is not a patriot. He is not even a conservative, John Curtis.
[00:03:36] I could never cast a vote for that man. I listened to his ad today and I was just floored because it was just lie after lie after lie.
[00:03:44] So no thank you. And Walton, Walton's interesting. Walton just keeps talking about the budget, the budget, the budget.
[00:03:51] And I'm just, you know, the budget is like watering the flowers as the house is burning.
[00:03:57] We're we're far past that. Now we have major criminality going on and money laundering and everything else.
[00:04:03] I don't think you're going to curb that through budget talk, but, you know, you can think what you want.
[00:04:08] I just don't see that. Brad Wilson, ugh, no way. No how.
[00:04:14] No thank you. He is so part of the boys club, part of this this deep state of Utah.
[00:04:20] No, thank you. Brad Wilson. No. Jason. No. John. No.
[00:04:24] I think if you're going to go with somebody, if you have to circle the circle, I'd go with Trent Staggs, you know.
[00:04:31] And then, of course, Myler for attorney general. I'd go Myler.
[00:04:36] Derek Brown is an inside guy and Rachel Terry is, too. I would not cast a vote for Brown or Terry.
[00:04:42] It would have to be Myler on that one. I would go Tina Cannon over Ricky Hatch.
[00:04:47] If you have to circle it, that's what I would do. I would go Tina Cannon over Ricky Hatch.
[00:04:52] I did interviews with Tina. I did interviews with Myler. I did interviews with Jenkins and also Staggs.
[00:04:58] And you can get those on the podcast. I'd go Chad Benyon over Don Ibsen.
[00:05:02] Don Ibsen has been horrifying. I'm sorry, but I have followed this man for 13 years and every year it gets worse.
[00:05:10] And now he's going around talking about his power, his power, his power, his power.
[00:05:15] Yet that same power doesn't help him to do good. Only horrible votes.
[00:05:20] And he was the instigator behind getting rid of the name Dixie.
[00:05:24] And I think that's really sad, actually, because I think he tried to hide it.
[00:05:29] He also talks up red flag laws, which is the denial of due process for Second Amendment.
[00:05:35] He's been in many articles talking it up and saying how he believes in red flag laws.
[00:05:40] He also has said to constituents that he will do whatever he's asked to do by the party.
[00:05:45] He doesn't even read the bills. He was actually proud of that. I can't imagine.
[00:05:49] Very arrogant. I would never cast a vote for Don Ibsen.
[00:05:54] There is no way in hell that I could ever cast a vote for that man.
[00:05:58] He has wanted me off the air. He's a very interesting guy.
[00:06:01] So I would absolutely go with Chad Benyon on that one and Joanne Britton on the school board.
[00:06:08] Kristen Norton, no. No, no, no, no, no.
[00:06:12] Joanne Britton, I think she would be a better choice.
[00:06:17] I'm trying to think of some of the other races, but I'm telling you, we.
[00:06:22] You know, we have. We have to have a different governor, that's for sure.
[00:06:28] I know just like you know that it's just getting real tough out there.
[00:06:33] It's getting real tough. Let's see. Tina can I'm just making sure I'm covering everybody.
[00:06:38] Oh, gosh. Todd Wheeler. Horrible, horrible, horrible.
[00:06:43] Oh, some of these people, they keep getting in. I wonder how that I wonder how they keep doing it.
[00:06:48] But there are some just really horrible people running and I hate to be mean, but it's the truth.
[00:06:53] And, you know, I'm just going to tell you what I see.
[00:06:56] So let's see. You've got Mike Kennedy at 61 percent for the House.
[00:07:03] I like Mike. I mean, there's some things about him I like.
[00:07:06] Burgess has sold out, but Burgess is the only one I think that's going to go in that race.
[00:07:12] And so there you go. There's some of your choices.
[00:07:15] And, you know, I would get rid of Blake Moore.
[00:07:19] I mean, I don't know a huge amount about Paul Miller, but from what I've seen from Blake Moore, I have not been impressed.
[00:07:26] So there's that. Just wanted to give you guys kind of a heads up on all of that.
[00:07:31] By the way, the Water Conservancy got twenty one million dollars.
[00:07:34] Zach Renstrom. Remember how I have him on on a clip saying that he believed that, oh, we probably won't get a drought.
[00:07:45] But now he's super happy because it's so necessary because we're that close to a drought.
[00:07:50] I mean, it's just so interesting the games these guys play, but getting twenty one million dollars, right.
[00:07:55] Reclaimed water. How about drilling down? How about that?
[00:08:00] Nope. Not one of them will listen to that. Not one of them will even entertain it.
[00:08:04] I guess they forgot history and don't realize how we survived all these years.
[00:08:07] But everybody knows that all you have to do is go down for water and it's renewable and it's endless, but they're going to keep playing major games with water.
[00:08:17] And so that I don't agree with at all. And I think that they should not be doing this kind of thing.
[00:08:24] But they are. So there's lots of wonky things.
[00:08:27] We really need a big push to cleanse this area of its mayors, city councils and its representation.
[00:08:37] It's county commissioners. We need to, I mean, do an overhaul.
[00:08:43] I just can't tell you how many things are going on right now behind the scenes and taking full advantage of not having any criticism,
[00:08:50] not getting anybody to say anything about what they're doing.
[00:08:53] They're taking full advantage and all that housing and all these special projects coming in.
[00:08:58] Why don't they ever cry about water for those? It's only you and I that are going to get penalized, honey.
[00:09:04] So, yeah, it's really sickening. It's sickening.
[00:09:08] I see these guys in politics and somebody asked me about that.
[00:09:11] They said, you know, being a talk show host, you know, if you tell the truth, they're not your friend.
[00:09:16] And I said, I don't want to be friends with these politicians around here.
[00:09:19] I don't have any respect for them and I wouldn't want to be chummy with them anyway.
[00:09:24] There's just nothing about them that I could say is good.
[00:09:28] And I feel bad because I would really like to say good things.
[00:09:32] I have in the past and I've pointed people out that really needed a lot of praise for standing up to things.
[00:09:37] But you guys, we are it's bad here. It's really bad.
[00:09:40] And I do hope people see it.
[00:09:43] And I hope they see the selling out of patriotism here and how everyone's jumping on the bandwagon to make a buck and profit off of it.
[00:09:49] I really hope people see that. All right, you guys.
[00:09:52] Kate Daly Radio dot com. And that's a little bit about the ballot down here in southern Utah.
[00:09:57] And I think I hit a few people up north, too. And there you go.
[00:10:01] Thanks, you guys. Oh, and one more. Monica Wilbur.
[00:10:04] I'll be interviewing her this week.
[00:10:07] And so I just wanted you to know if you're up north, probably Monica Wilbur would be one to go with, too.
[00:10:12] Thanks, guys. On the school board. Thank you.
