Episode 136 Hour of Decision: LBJ (4) Did LBJ Kill JFK? JFK’s Behavior and a Right-Wing Surge Threaten Our Corporate Masters

Who killed JFK? 100+ books have been written trying to answer that question. But regardless of who was the prime driver there is no doubt LBJ was a huge beneficiary of the event.

JFK was failing to bring a new wave of big government, and his behavior threatened our corporate masters who were seeing a big nationalist wave on the horizon, represented by Barry Goldwater’s grassroots fueled campaign.

In Johnson’s first year in the White House he had to lay low and allow the JFK martyrdom narrative to play out and pave the way for his future efforts. He did muscle Southern Senators to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1964. He also gave a speech before 85,000 at the University of Michigan previewing his coming legislative avalanche he called “The Great Society.” It is worth noting a book with the same title was produced by a Fabian named Graham Wallis, and was a big deal in those circles earlier in the century.

73, 74 The Establishment Killed JFK and here’s why

00:00:25 --> 00:00:28 - Have the men of the West

00:00:28 --> 00:00:29 - lost

00:00:29 --> 00:00:30 - the will

00:00:31 --> 00:00:31 - to live?

00:00:36 --> 00:00:38 - It's midnight in America,

00:00:38 --> 00:00:39 - and this

00:00:40 --> 00:00:40 - is the hour

00:00:41 --> 00:00:44 - of decision. Tell me what you're gonna

00:00:45 --> 00:00:46 - leave

00:00:47 --> 00:00:50 - behind if you go cutting off your life.

00:00:52 --> 00:00:55 - Hour of decision with Lou Moore starts now.

00:00:56 --> 00:00:58 - Welcome to the one hundred and thirty sixth

00:00:58 --> 00:01:01 - episode of hour of decision.

00:01:02 --> 00:01:04 - My name is Lou Moore, and today we're

00:01:04 --> 00:01:07 - going to continue our series marching through the

00:01:07 --> 00:01:07 - life,

00:01:08 --> 00:01:10 - and in particular, the presidency

00:01:10 --> 00:01:12 - of Lyndon Baines Johnson.

00:01:13 --> 00:01:18 - He served as president from 11/22/1963

00:01:18 --> 00:01:21 - till January

00:01:21 --> 00:01:23 - 1969.

00:01:24 --> 00:01:25 - Didn't run for reelection.

00:01:26 --> 00:01:28 - He was followed by Richard Nixon,

00:01:29 --> 00:01:31 - and I think everybody knows he was preceded

00:01:32 --> 00:01:33 - by JFK,

00:01:34 --> 00:01:35 - John Fitzgerald

00:01:35 --> 00:01:36 - Kennedy.

00:01:37 --> 00:01:38 - So

00:01:39 --> 00:01:43 - I do these series on the presidents because

00:01:43 --> 00:01:45 - I think it helps us focus on

00:01:46 --> 00:01:48 - many issues beyond the individual,

00:01:49 --> 00:01:49 - beyond their

00:01:50 --> 00:01:51 - administration,

00:01:51 --> 00:01:54 - beyond their so called accomplishments that will be

00:01:54 --> 00:01:57 - bragged about including by court historians

00:01:58 --> 00:02:00 - long after they're dead.

00:02:00 --> 00:02:04 - Anything that increases government is considered a plus

00:02:04 --> 00:02:06 - in the hands of our corporate masters when

00:02:06 --> 00:02:08 - that material's in the hands of our corporate

00:02:08 --> 00:02:10 - masters or their minions

00:02:11 --> 00:02:14 - that come out of the university systems that

00:02:14 --> 00:02:16 - we have, pretty iron lock

00:02:16 --> 00:02:18 - with just a few exceptions

00:02:19 --> 00:02:20 - on our universities,

00:02:21 --> 00:02:22 - with this kind of propaganda

00:02:23 --> 00:02:25 - being cranked out. But, anyway,

00:02:25 --> 00:02:27 - I do this because I think it's one

00:02:27 --> 00:02:29 - way to focus on the thread

00:02:30 --> 00:02:32 - that runs through all the presidencies

00:02:32 --> 00:02:34 - that I cover on this show,

00:02:34 --> 00:02:35 - which is

00:02:36 --> 00:02:37 - the overarching

00:02:37 --> 00:02:38 - desire

00:02:39 --> 00:02:41 - of the most powerful people on this earth

00:02:42 --> 00:02:44 - to merge the earth into one

00:02:45 --> 00:02:45 - government

00:02:46 --> 00:02:48 - that is a total government.

00:02:49 --> 00:02:51 - You can call it a communist government. It...

00:02:51 --> 00:02:54 - You know, we've we've used different, terms and

00:02:54 --> 00:02:57 - different terms have different meanings of different people,

00:02:57 --> 00:03:01 - but a total government with absolute power over

00:03:01 --> 00:03:01 - the whole planet.

00:03:02 --> 00:03:03 - That's the goal.

00:03:04 --> 00:03:05 - It's a gradualist

00:03:06 --> 00:03:08 - strategy that's been employed,

00:03:09 --> 00:03:11 - but one arm of this,

00:03:12 --> 00:03:12 - movement

00:03:13 --> 00:03:16 - has been the Bolsheviks, the communist, who sometimes

00:03:17 --> 00:03:19 - don't move very gradually. A lot of times

00:03:19 --> 00:03:20 - they do, actually.

00:03:21 --> 00:03:21 - But,

00:03:22 --> 00:03:23 - you know, they are willing to throw a

00:03:23 --> 00:03:26 - few bombs there. But anyhow,

00:03:26 --> 00:03:29 - it's generally been what we call a gradualist

00:03:29 --> 00:03:30 - or Fabian

00:03:31 --> 00:03:32 - strategy.

00:03:32 --> 00:03:33 - Slow but sure.

00:03:34 --> 00:03:36 - The turtle, one of the symbols of the

00:03:36 --> 00:03:38 - Fabian society in Britain.

00:03:39 --> 00:03:40 - And, that's where,

00:03:40 --> 00:03:41 - this strategy

00:03:42 --> 00:03:43 - comes out of,

00:03:43 --> 00:03:46 - but it's... At its core, the same Marxism

00:03:47 --> 00:03:51 - that animated Lenin, that animated Mao, that animated

00:03:51 --> 00:03:51 - Castro,

00:03:52 --> 00:03:53 - and that animates

00:03:55 --> 00:03:57 - every governmental leader, I would say, at this

00:03:57 --> 00:03:58 - point.

00:03:58 --> 00:04:00 - There might be a couple of exceptions

00:04:01 --> 00:04:03 - in Europe today,

00:04:03 --> 00:04:06 - but very much the gradualist, but they're tightening

00:04:06 --> 00:04:08 - the screws, folks, taking away the civil,

00:04:09 --> 00:04:12 - openly taking away civil liberties, taking away freedom

00:04:12 --> 00:04:13 - of speech.

00:04:14 --> 00:04:17 - They've gotten a lot more overt there and

00:04:17 --> 00:04:18 - also here

00:04:18 --> 00:04:20 - in the last few years. But anyhow...

00:04:21 --> 00:04:21 - So,

00:04:22 --> 00:04:25 - we're right now studying Lyndon Baines Johnson, and

00:04:25 --> 00:04:25 - a key

00:04:26 --> 00:04:27 - aspect

00:04:29 --> 00:04:30 - of the whole,

00:04:31 --> 00:04:33 - look at Johnson that I think needs to

00:04:33 --> 00:04:33 - occur

00:04:34 --> 00:04:37 - is the fact that it was obvious

00:04:38 --> 00:04:41 - that the powers that be that put Kennedy

00:04:41 --> 00:04:41 - into power

00:04:43 --> 00:04:44 - were expecting a second

00:04:45 --> 00:04:45 - huge

00:04:46 --> 00:04:46 - surge

00:04:47 --> 00:04:48 - of big government

00:04:48 --> 00:04:50 - similar to what happened

00:04:51 --> 00:04:51 - after,

00:04:51 --> 00:04:53 - 1932,

00:04:53 --> 00:04:56 - the election in 1932 with Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

00:04:56 --> 00:04:58 - In that case, it was called the New

00:04:58 --> 00:04:58 - Deal.

00:05:00 --> 00:05:02 - There was a book out called the New

00:05:02 --> 00:05:04 - Deal by a Fabian socialist by the name

00:05:04 --> 00:05:04 - of Stuart Chase,

00:05:05 --> 00:05:07 - and there was also a book out called

00:05:07 --> 00:05:08 - the Great

00:05:08 --> 00:05:09 - Society.

00:05:10 --> 00:05:11 - I... It's older than,

00:05:12 --> 00:05:14 - Chase's book called the New Deal.

00:05:15 --> 00:05:16 - But as we will learn,

00:05:16 --> 00:05:19 - they're gonna pull that, they're gonna pull that

00:05:19 --> 00:05:22 - title out and slap it on the big

00:05:22 --> 00:05:25 - government project that they couldn't get done under

00:05:25 --> 00:05:25 - Kennedy.

00:05:26 --> 00:05:28 - His project, he coined the new frontier,

00:05:29 --> 00:05:32 - but Johnson would get the job done for

00:05:32 --> 00:05:35 - our corporate masters. And my thesis is,

00:05:36 --> 00:05:37 - my belief is,

00:05:37 --> 00:05:38 - that

00:05:38 --> 00:05:39 - is why

00:05:40 --> 00:05:41 - Kennedy was killed.

00:05:42 --> 00:05:43 - That is why

00:05:43 --> 00:05:46 - Johnson was put in place because of his

00:05:46 --> 00:05:49 - mastery of the legislative process and his total

00:05:49 --> 00:05:50 - corruption and

00:05:51 --> 00:05:53 - vulnerability to be taken down at any time

00:05:54 --> 00:05:55 - and his complete desire

00:05:56 --> 00:05:57 - throughout his career

00:05:58 --> 00:06:00 - to do what the establishment

00:06:01 --> 00:06:04 - wanted, particularly the established... The part of the

00:06:04 --> 00:06:04 - establishment

00:06:04 --> 00:06:05 - pushing forward

00:06:06 --> 00:06:08 - this big government program.

00:06:09 --> 00:06:11 - And we saw that from the... His early

00:06:11 --> 00:06:13 - days, from Johnson's early days

00:06:14 --> 00:06:15 - when he was a

00:06:16 --> 00:06:19 - young administrator or young staffer, congressional staffer, then

00:06:19 --> 00:06:22 - administrator in the New Deal, the, only state

00:06:22 --> 00:06:23 - director

00:06:24 --> 00:06:27 - of his age of the National Youth Administration,

00:06:28 --> 00:06:31 - handing out largesse throughout Texas and then as

00:06:31 --> 00:06:31 - a congressman.

00:06:32 --> 00:06:34 - After that, a US senator, and we've we've

00:06:34 --> 00:06:37 - covered this ground. He became vice president.

00:06:38 --> 00:06:40 - Shotgun marriage there in a way.

00:06:41 --> 00:06:42 - His,

00:06:43 --> 00:06:45 - his pairing up with JFK,

00:06:45 --> 00:06:46 - not popular

00:06:47 --> 00:06:48 - with a lot of people around Kennedy, and

00:06:48 --> 00:06:51 - Kennedy hated Johnson. But anyhow, that's how he

00:06:51 --> 00:06:53 - got to be vice president. So now

00:06:55 --> 00:06:57 - now we just kinda got to the point

00:06:57 --> 00:06:58 - where Johnson,

00:06:59 --> 00:07:02 - becomes president, but we're going to backtrack just

00:07:02 --> 00:07:03 - a little bit

00:07:04 --> 00:07:06 - to really set the scene

00:07:06 --> 00:07:08 - for what was happening before

00:07:09 --> 00:07:11 - 11/22/1963

00:07:11 --> 00:07:12 - in Dallas, Texas.

00:07:13 --> 00:07:16 - And I, began covering this in the last

00:07:16 --> 00:07:18 - Johnson episode I did, but there was a

00:07:18 --> 00:07:19 - race

00:07:20 --> 00:07:21 - going on, a race,

00:07:23 --> 00:07:23 - between,

00:07:24 --> 00:07:25 - Bobby Kennedy,

00:07:26 --> 00:07:28 - who was determined to take Johnson out,

00:07:29 --> 00:07:31 - remove him from the ticket, and put somebody

00:07:31 --> 00:07:33 - more to their liking, to the Kennedy's

00:07:35 --> 00:07:35 - liking.

00:07:36 --> 00:07:37 - Bobby Kennedy, JFK's

00:07:38 --> 00:07:39 - political consigliere,

00:07:40 --> 00:07:40 - his

00:07:40 --> 00:07:43 - political... Chief political strategist consultant and

00:07:44 --> 00:07:46 - attorney general now by the time JFK is

00:07:46 --> 00:07:47 - in the White House,

00:07:48 --> 00:07:49 - his wingman,

00:07:50 --> 00:07:53 - and, he was determined to take Johnson out.

00:07:53 --> 00:07:56 - And we talked about the, hearing that what

00:07:56 --> 00:07:58 - was going on at the time Kennedy was

00:07:58 --> 00:07:59 - shot

00:07:59 --> 00:08:02 - where damning evidence was taken under oath,

00:08:04 --> 00:08:05 - and submitted into the record,

00:08:06 --> 00:08:09 - about some of Johnson's nefarious

00:08:09 --> 00:08:10 - dealings.

00:08:10 --> 00:08:12 - We won't go all back through that, but

00:08:12 --> 00:08:14 - at the same time... And there was supposed

00:08:14 --> 00:08:15 - to be and

00:08:15 --> 00:08:17 - there was supposed to be a

00:08:18 --> 00:08:18 - major

00:08:19 --> 00:08:20 - cover story

00:08:20 --> 00:08:23 - in a national magazine the following week

00:08:24 --> 00:08:27 - about this investigation that was brewing,

00:08:27 --> 00:08:30 - a conspiracy between Bobby Kennedy and Republicans

00:08:32 --> 00:08:33 - in the senate.

00:08:34 --> 00:08:34 - And,

00:08:35 --> 00:08:37 - of course, that didn't happen because of the

00:08:37 --> 00:08:39 - assassination, but at the same time, on the

00:08:39 --> 00:08:41 - other... This was a race

00:08:42 --> 00:08:43 - because more and more,

00:08:44 --> 00:08:47 - members of the press corps were sniffing around.

00:08:47 --> 00:08:49 - Edgar Hoover was well aware

00:08:49 --> 00:08:52 - that Kennedy had been sleeping with an East

00:08:52 --> 00:08:55 - German spy by the name of Ellen Romich

00:08:56 --> 00:08:57 - as had half the senate,

00:08:58 --> 00:08:59 - practically.

00:09:00 --> 00:09:04 - And, Lyndon Johnson knew this about Kennedy because,

00:09:05 --> 00:09:07 - Kennedy was fixed up with this woman by

00:09:07 --> 00:09:08 - Bobby Baker,

00:09:09 --> 00:09:11 - the man they called little Linden,

00:09:11 --> 00:09:13 - the guy that took care of all of

00:09:13 --> 00:09:16 - the tasks for him that were a little

00:09:16 --> 00:09:18 - bit unsavory under the table

00:09:18 --> 00:09:20 - involving bribes, blackmail,

00:09:21 --> 00:09:22 - intelligence operations,

00:09:22 --> 00:09:24 - etcetera. And we talked about Bobby Baker,

00:09:25 --> 00:09:27 - in the last couple of episodes.

00:09:28 --> 00:09:30 - So, there was a... And and there was

00:09:30 --> 00:09:31 - a rumor that, Clark,

00:09:33 --> 00:09:34 - Melenchoff, I believe his name was. He was

00:09:34 --> 00:09:36 - a famous political writer

00:09:37 --> 00:09:39 - for the, Des Moines Register,

00:09:39 --> 00:09:42 - you know, a paper in a state that

00:09:42 --> 00:09:44 - used to be and, and always has been

00:09:44 --> 00:09:45 - the first,

00:09:46 --> 00:09:49 - presidential contest in the primary season, the Iowa

00:09:49 --> 00:09:52 - caucuses. So Des Moines Register key

00:09:53 --> 00:09:54 - political newspaper,

00:09:54 --> 00:09:56 - that he was going to be putting out

00:09:56 --> 00:09:57 - in

00:09:57 --> 00:10:00 - October ish, November ish,

00:10:01 --> 00:10:02 - December, and rumors

00:10:03 --> 00:10:05 - that, he was going to put out a

00:10:05 --> 00:10:07 - major expose, and he was hinting at it

00:10:07 --> 00:10:08 - in October

00:10:09 --> 00:10:11 - in the Des Moines Register about,

00:10:12 --> 00:10:13 - the problem that JFK

00:10:14 --> 00:10:15 - had with womanizing.

00:10:17 --> 00:10:17 - So,

00:10:18 --> 00:10:19 - who,

00:10:19 --> 00:10:22 - you know, so which humongous scandal would be

00:10:22 --> 00:10:23 - revealed first

00:10:24 --> 00:10:26 - and who would end up on top

00:10:26 --> 00:10:29 - between Lyndon Johnson who did not like being

00:10:29 --> 00:10:32 - vice president and very, very much wanting to

00:10:32 --> 00:10:33 - be president

00:10:33 --> 00:10:36 - in JFK. And, of course, we have the

00:10:36 --> 00:10:36 - answer.

00:10:37 --> 00:10:39 - But, we we get it. We can,

00:10:40 --> 00:10:42 - get very much diverted by the question of

00:10:43 --> 00:10:45 - was Johnson behind this assassination?

00:10:46 --> 00:10:48 - I don't totally know that answer,

00:10:48 --> 00:10:50 - but the odds are he was.

00:10:51 --> 00:10:53 - But as I said, I don't don't believe

00:10:53 --> 00:10:55 - the driver. I mean, there's such a long

00:10:55 --> 00:10:56 - list of enemies

00:10:56 --> 00:10:58 - with the Kennedys. Talking about who who was

00:10:58 --> 00:10:59 - the driver

00:11:00 --> 00:11:01 - behind this assassination.

00:11:01 --> 00:11:03 - I mean, Bobby's investigating

00:11:03 --> 00:11:05 - the mob that helped JFK

00:11:06 --> 00:11:09 - cheat and win, not just the general election

00:11:09 --> 00:11:11 - in 1960, but also the primaries

00:11:11 --> 00:11:14 - in West Virginia in particular, a key primary

00:11:14 --> 00:11:17 - that, Sam Giancona said absolutely.

00:11:17 --> 00:11:19 - We won that thing for Kennedy, and he

00:11:19 --> 00:11:22 - didn't mean by going out in door knocking.

00:11:22 --> 00:11:23 - That is not how the mob

00:11:24 --> 00:11:25 - did it.

00:11:25 --> 00:11:28 - So that and, and, of course, also going

00:11:28 --> 00:11:31 - after Jimmy Hoffa and the Teamsters who had

00:11:31 --> 00:11:32 - not ever helped the Kennedys,

00:11:33 --> 00:11:36 - but who were one, if possibly the single

00:11:36 --> 00:11:37 - most potent union

00:11:37 --> 00:11:39 - in The United States in the early nineteen

00:11:39 --> 00:11:41 - sixties was the Teamsters folks.

00:11:42 --> 00:11:43 - They were a big effing deal, and, of

00:11:43 --> 00:11:46 - course, they were all mobbed up as well.

00:11:47 --> 00:11:49 - So, you know, there was them. There was

00:11:49 --> 00:11:49 - Cubans

00:11:50 --> 00:11:51 - in terms of who,

00:11:52 --> 00:11:54 - wanted to see Kennedy dead. There were Cubans

00:11:54 --> 00:11:55 - who were betrayed

00:11:56 --> 00:11:57 - on the beach,

00:11:58 --> 00:12:00 - at the Bay Of Pigs because Kennedy pulled

00:12:00 --> 00:12:02 - their air support.

00:12:03 --> 00:12:05 - And I talk about this in my Kennedy

00:12:05 --> 00:12:07 - episodes. Don't have time to go into the

00:12:07 --> 00:12:10 - details on all these things. But there's, people

00:12:10 --> 00:12:12 - that believe that these Cubans who then were

00:12:12 --> 00:12:13 - getting trained up by the CIA

00:12:14 --> 00:12:16 - for all kinds of covert activities,

00:12:17 --> 00:12:18 - including Watergate,

00:12:19 --> 00:12:20 - some of them,

00:12:21 --> 00:12:23 - that they might have been behind it. Then

00:12:23 --> 00:12:26 - there is the CIA that, but but this

00:12:26 --> 00:12:28 - theory I'm about to mention is a parochial

00:12:28 --> 00:12:30 - interest of the CIA that they were embarrassed

00:12:31 --> 00:12:32 - by Kennedy,

00:12:33 --> 00:12:35 - because they had put the plan together for

00:12:35 --> 00:12:36 - the Bay of Pigs,

00:12:36 --> 00:12:38 - the unsuccessful invasion of Cuba.

00:12:39 --> 00:12:39 - And,

00:12:40 --> 00:12:42 - they had put this plan together,

00:12:42 --> 00:12:42 - but,

00:12:44 --> 00:12:47 - it fell apart because Kennedy reneged on a

00:12:47 --> 00:12:48 - big part of it, which was US Air

00:12:48 --> 00:12:50 - Support. So that the idea that the CIA

00:12:51 --> 00:12:53 - wanted to get back at him for that

00:12:53 --> 00:12:56 - also because of Vietnam. Some people believe, oh,

00:12:56 --> 00:12:58 - the CIA really wanted us to be in

00:12:58 --> 00:12:59 - Vietnam.

00:12:59 --> 00:13:01 - Kennedy really didn't wanna be there.

00:13:02 --> 00:13:03 - I questioned

00:13:03 --> 00:13:06 - both of those, by the way. But, anyway,

00:13:06 --> 00:13:07 - particularly the idea that Kennedy

00:13:08 --> 00:13:09 - didn't wanna be there. But,

00:13:11 --> 00:13:13 - you have to go to my Kennedy episodes

00:13:13 --> 00:13:15 - to get a lot of detail on this.

00:13:15 --> 00:13:16 - We may cover a little bit more of

00:13:16 --> 00:13:17 - this

00:13:17 --> 00:13:19 - on Vietnam when we talk about

00:13:20 --> 00:13:22 - Vietnam. And then there is the idea that

00:13:22 --> 00:13:25 - the military industrial complex, like the generals,

00:13:25 --> 00:13:27 - working with elements of the CIA,

00:13:27 --> 00:13:30 - working with big corporations that had a lot

00:13:30 --> 00:13:31 - to lose financially.

00:13:32 --> 00:13:34 - We're worried that Kennedy was not going to

00:13:35 --> 00:13:35 - come across,

00:13:36 --> 00:13:37 - and,

00:13:37 --> 00:13:40 - ramp up in Vietnam. There had been plans

00:13:40 --> 00:13:41 - laid to do so.

00:13:42 --> 00:13:44 - Of course, the Pentagon is full of plans.

00:13:44 --> 00:13:46 - They're supposed to have plans for every contingency

00:13:46 --> 00:13:47 - on every,

00:13:48 --> 00:13:51 - national security issue. That's their job.

00:13:51 --> 00:13:53 - So that, of course, they had a plan

00:13:53 --> 00:13:54 - to rev up

00:13:54 --> 00:13:57 - forces in Vietnam, but would Kennedy have,

00:13:57 --> 00:14:00 - gone forward with that? Did anyone else really

00:14:00 --> 00:14:03 - wanna go forward with that at the time

00:14:03 --> 00:14:05 - we're talking about now? You know, that's an

00:14:05 --> 00:14:09 - open question. It's complicated. I don't know. The

00:14:09 --> 00:14:09 - Russians.

00:14:10 --> 00:14:12 - Nobody wants it. None of these conspiracy theorists

00:14:12 --> 00:14:14 - out there, folks, pretty much they don't ever

00:14:14 --> 00:14:16 - wanna put anything on the Russians,

00:14:17 --> 00:14:18 - which is ridiculous.

00:14:19 --> 00:14:21 - But I don't think they did it either.

00:14:21 --> 00:14:23 - I do believe that they sent Lee Harvey

00:14:23 --> 00:14:25 - Oswald to The United States

00:14:26 --> 00:14:29 - as somebody to, train to be ready

00:14:29 --> 00:14:31 - to do that,

00:14:31 --> 00:14:33 - and Oswald knew it.

00:14:34 --> 00:14:37 - And Oswald in... Of... He he was in

00:14:37 --> 00:14:38 - touch with the KGB

00:14:39 --> 00:14:40 - officer in charge of assassinations

00:14:41 --> 00:14:43 - in Mexico City just three or four months

00:14:43 --> 00:14:46 - before the assassination, folks. This is a fact.

00:14:46 --> 00:14:46 - And,

00:14:47 --> 00:14:50 - anyway, Oswald, another complicated story. I don't wanna

00:14:50 --> 00:14:52 - get into the whole Kennedy thing and,

00:14:52 --> 00:14:54 - been around and around without the Kennedy assassination

00:14:55 --> 00:14:57 - thing. I mean, the whole deal would spend

00:14:57 --> 00:14:59 - forty three hours just on that. But, anyway,

00:14:59 --> 00:15:00 - I'm trying to go through this quickly.

00:15:01 --> 00:15:03 - The Brits. Some people believe the Brits killed

00:15:03 --> 00:15:06 - Kennedy, m I five. Anyway, I don't even

00:15:06 --> 00:15:08 - know a whole lot about that theory, but

00:15:08 --> 00:15:10 - there are books out. There's books out with

00:15:10 --> 00:15:10 - just about...

00:15:11 --> 00:15:13 - Well, on all of these, topics that I've

00:15:13 --> 00:15:15 - mentioned, many books.

00:15:15 --> 00:15:18 - And, anyhow, well, one that's gotten a lot

00:15:18 --> 00:15:19 - of saliency,

00:15:20 --> 00:15:21 - or has gotten a lot of credit,

00:15:23 --> 00:15:25 - a lot of credit is being given this

00:15:25 --> 00:15:27 - theory recently. It used to be completely

00:15:28 --> 00:15:30 - off the table and ridiculed

00:15:31 --> 00:15:33 - is the theory that the Israelis

00:15:34 --> 00:15:36 - killed Kennedy because he did not want them

00:15:36 --> 00:15:38 - to get the bomb, and that is a

00:15:38 --> 00:15:40 - fact. And that he was threatening,

00:15:41 --> 00:15:43 - the Jewish lobby that they would have to

00:15:43 --> 00:15:45 - register as foreign agents, and that is a

00:15:45 --> 00:15:47 - fact. And he threatened,

00:15:47 --> 00:15:50 - Ben Gurion, the prime minister of Israel,

00:15:50 --> 00:15:52 - that he would cut off

00:15:52 --> 00:15:55 - the... All of their foreign aid over this,

00:15:55 --> 00:15:59 - question of nuclear enrichment. Does that sound familiar?

00:15:59 --> 00:16:00 - And that is a fact. Those are all

00:16:00 --> 00:16:03 - facts. But there's other there's other facts

00:16:04 --> 00:16:06 - that contradict the idea that the Israelis would

00:16:06 --> 00:16:08 - just dive into something like this and kill

00:16:09 --> 00:16:09 - Kennedy.

00:16:10 --> 00:16:13 - And, again, I refer you to my

00:16:14 --> 00:16:17 - episodes that discuss who killed Kennedy or my

00:16:17 --> 00:16:19 - Kennedy series.

00:16:20 --> 00:16:21 - And then there was a theory that right

00:16:21 --> 00:16:22 - wingers

00:16:22 --> 00:16:23 - killed Kennedy.

00:16:24 --> 00:16:27 - And I do wanna talk more about that

00:16:27 --> 00:16:30 - one because that has everything to do

00:16:31 --> 00:16:33 - with what happened after Kennedy died and what

00:16:33 --> 00:16:36 - happened to the politics in America and what

00:16:36 --> 00:16:39 - happened to the conservative movement that was on

00:16:39 --> 00:16:40 - fire.

00:16:41 --> 00:16:43 - The day Kennedy died and up to that

00:16:43 --> 00:16:44 - time,

00:16:45 --> 00:16:48 - up to 11/22/1963,

00:16:48 --> 00:16:50 - the right wing was rolling, folks.

00:16:51 --> 00:16:52 - And,

00:16:53 --> 00:16:55 - anyway, I also have a lot of material

00:16:55 --> 00:16:56 - on that. I have a Goldwater episode.

00:16:57 --> 00:16:59 - I talked about my Kennedy episode, but we're

00:16:59 --> 00:17:00 - gonna talk about that one a little bit

00:17:00 --> 00:17:02 - more in a minute.

00:17:02 --> 00:17:04 - So there was many beneficiaries

00:17:06 --> 00:17:07 - out there, potential beneficiaries

00:17:08 --> 00:17:10 - from having Kennedy out

00:17:11 --> 00:17:12 - of the White House. I just ticked down

00:17:12 --> 00:17:13 - a list,

00:17:14 --> 00:17:15 - and,

00:17:16 --> 00:17:18 - it makes it a little more complicated right

00:17:18 --> 00:17:21 - there to figure out what happened to him.

00:17:22 --> 00:17:22 - But,

00:17:23 --> 00:17:25 - no matter who we tick off, the mob,

00:17:25 --> 00:17:28 - the CIA, the military, the Russians, no matter,

00:17:29 --> 00:17:30 - you you know, who who you believe was,

00:17:31 --> 00:17:33 - the prime mover of the assassination,

00:17:33 --> 00:17:36 - there's no question that one of these

00:17:36 --> 00:17:37 - central

00:17:37 --> 00:17:38 - and principal beneficiaries

00:17:39 --> 00:17:41 - was Lyndon Baines Johnson.

00:17:41 --> 00:17:42 - Duh.

00:17:42 --> 00:17:42 - So,

00:17:43 --> 00:17:46 - can't overlook Johnson, and he has, you know,

00:17:46 --> 00:17:47 - he had connections

00:17:48 --> 00:17:49 - of some sort

00:17:49 --> 00:17:51 - with every single

00:17:51 --> 00:17:53 - one of the people down this list. He

00:17:53 --> 00:17:55 - was very tight with Israel. He had mob

00:17:55 --> 00:17:57 - connections through Bobby Baker.

00:17:58 --> 00:18:00 - He had connections to the Cubans. He had

00:18:00 --> 00:18:02 - all kinds of connections to the military industrial

00:18:02 --> 00:18:03 - complex

00:18:03 --> 00:18:05 - as the majority leader in the senate and

00:18:05 --> 00:18:07 - on the armed services committee in the senate

00:18:07 --> 00:18:08 - before that.

00:18:08 --> 00:18:09 - Anyhow.

00:18:09 --> 00:18:12 - So then we get into more specifics here

00:18:12 --> 00:18:15 - about Johnson. Supposedly, there was a meeting the

00:18:15 --> 00:18:16 - night before the assassination

00:18:17 --> 00:18:18 - at Clint

00:18:18 --> 00:18:21 - Murchison's house. Clint Murchison, a principal,

00:18:22 --> 00:18:25 - power broker in Texas, oil man among other

00:18:25 --> 00:18:26 - things.

00:18:27 --> 00:18:29 - And supposedly, Johnson told

00:18:30 --> 00:18:31 - one of his mistresses,

00:18:32 --> 00:18:33 - a woman,

00:18:33 --> 00:18:35 - by the name of Madeline Duncan Brown,

00:18:40 --> 00:18:43 - questions about the nature of all that. But

00:18:43 --> 00:18:45 - she said that he told her that by

00:18:45 --> 00:18:47 - tomorrow night... This is on the the night

00:18:47 --> 00:18:48 - before the assassination.

00:18:48 --> 00:18:49 - By tomorrow night,

00:18:50 --> 00:18:52 - no one would be laughing at him anymore,

00:18:52 --> 00:18:53 - and those Kennedys

00:18:53 --> 00:18:55 - would be put down, put in their place.

00:18:55 --> 00:18:57 - I don't think he exactly said that you're

00:18:57 --> 00:18:58 - gonna be killed the next day.

00:18:59 --> 00:19:01 - But, you know, she also said Richard Nixon

00:19:01 --> 00:19:02 - was at this meeting,

00:19:02 --> 00:19:04 - that HL Hunt,

00:19:04 --> 00:19:06 - who was a big right winger at that

00:19:06 --> 00:19:08 - time, the richest man in the world, I

00:19:08 --> 00:19:11 - think, at that time, oil man, pro John

00:19:11 --> 00:19:11 - Birch Society.

00:19:13 --> 00:19:15 - More in that category that he had a

00:19:15 --> 00:19:16 - man at this meeting,

00:19:17 --> 00:19:19 - a lot of doubts put on this meeting.

00:19:19 --> 00:19:20 - And I just,

00:19:20 --> 00:19:21 - I don't even know what to tell you.

00:19:21 --> 00:19:23 - But, I mean, that's in the lore there.

00:19:23 --> 00:19:25 - You can certainly find it.

00:19:25 --> 00:19:28 - But this, brings me up... This brings me

00:19:28 --> 00:19:30 - to another topic briefly, which is

00:19:31 --> 00:19:33 - Lyndon Johnson's womanizing. I I alluded

00:19:34 --> 00:19:36 - to this earlier in this series

00:19:36 --> 00:19:38 - that Kennedy wasn't the only

00:19:39 --> 00:19:39 - womanizer.

00:19:40 --> 00:19:41 - Johnson was

00:19:42 --> 00:19:45 - a big womanizer, but he was different from

00:19:45 --> 00:19:46 - Kennedy.

00:19:46 --> 00:19:49 - Kennedy wanted... He said... He told people he

00:19:49 --> 00:19:51 - wanted to have sex with a strange woman

00:19:51 --> 00:19:53 - or another woman other than his wife every

00:19:53 --> 00:19:54 - day.

00:19:55 --> 00:19:57 - He said this, and he did his best

00:19:57 --> 00:20:00 - to fulfill that. And in the process, there

00:20:00 --> 00:20:03 - was a lot of casual hookers and escorts

00:20:03 --> 00:20:03 - and,

00:20:04 --> 00:20:06 - possibly spies, all kinds of women

00:20:07 --> 00:20:08 - in that mix,

00:20:09 --> 00:20:11 - that in many cases can be established, but

00:20:11 --> 00:20:14 - Johnson was quite a bit different that way.

00:20:15 --> 00:20:18 - He tended to like women who had power

00:20:18 --> 00:20:21 - or whose husbands had power or whose fathers

00:20:21 --> 00:20:22 - had power

00:20:23 --> 00:20:25 - and to use them for his

00:20:25 --> 00:20:27 - his bigger lust, which was for power.

00:20:28 --> 00:20:28 - And,

00:20:29 --> 00:20:30 - but he had,

00:20:31 --> 00:20:33 - so he had casual sexual relationships, but it

00:20:33 --> 00:20:35 - would be more for the staffer,

00:20:35 --> 00:20:38 - somebody he knew, somebody down in Texas. It

00:20:38 --> 00:20:41 - wasn't this wild deal Kennedy had. I mean,

00:20:41 --> 00:20:42 - it was plenty promiscuous,

00:20:43 --> 00:20:45 - but he had three principal

00:20:46 --> 00:20:46 - mistresses

00:20:47 --> 00:20:48 - and three... And they were all

00:20:49 --> 00:20:50 - long term relationships.

00:20:51 --> 00:20:53 - One of them I alluded to was with

00:20:53 --> 00:20:54 - Helen Gahagan Douglas,

00:20:55 --> 00:20:57 - who served in congress at the time Johnson

00:20:57 --> 00:20:59 - did off the charts. Left

00:21:00 --> 00:21:02 - winger off the charts.

00:21:02 --> 00:21:04 - And there's a lot of talk about

00:21:05 --> 00:21:06 - them meeting and commiserating

00:21:07 --> 00:21:07 - about,

00:21:08 --> 00:21:10 - gee, FDR is gone, you know, after he

00:21:10 --> 00:21:12 - died. And what are we gonna do?

00:21:13 --> 00:21:15 - And get Truman, is he up to the

00:21:15 --> 00:21:15 - job? And

00:21:16 --> 00:21:18 - Johnson was definitely coming off as a left

00:21:18 --> 00:21:20 - winger to this woman who Richard Nixon called

00:21:20 --> 00:21:21 - the pink lady

00:21:22 --> 00:21:23 - and beat her

00:21:23 --> 00:21:25 - in 1950,

00:21:25 --> 00:21:28 - for for Nixon to get his senate seat

00:21:28 --> 00:21:29 - in California.

00:21:30 --> 00:21:32 - Joseph p Kennedy gave money to Nixon

00:21:33 --> 00:21:36 - in that campaign because Douglas was way off.

00:21:37 --> 00:21:40 - World government, one world, world federals, the whole

00:21:40 --> 00:21:41 - nine yards,

00:21:41 --> 00:21:43 - but way off to the left.

00:21:43 --> 00:21:45 - And she was very tight for many years

00:21:46 --> 00:21:48 - with Lyndon Johnson.

00:21:48 --> 00:21:50 - I mentioned this Madeline,

00:21:51 --> 00:21:55 - Madeline Duncan Brown. She was a media buyer,

00:21:56 --> 00:21:59 - big big deal in Dallas in her own

00:21:59 --> 00:21:59 - right,

00:22:00 --> 00:22:03 - but there is more question about this relationship

00:22:03 --> 00:22:04 - with Johnson.

00:22:05 --> 00:22:07 - Allegedly, it lasted over twenty

00:22:07 --> 00:22:10 - years, but this woman, you know, she claimed

00:22:10 --> 00:22:12 - this meeting with Murchison and claimed to tie

00:22:12 --> 00:22:13 - Johnson to the assassination

00:22:15 --> 00:22:18 - very directly, like, plotting it out.

00:22:19 --> 00:22:20 - But she was also later

00:22:21 --> 00:22:23 - convicted of forging

00:22:23 --> 00:22:24 - a will

00:22:25 --> 00:22:26 - to get money.

00:22:26 --> 00:22:30 - I mean, pretty bad convicted of that. So

00:22:30 --> 00:22:31 - I don't know about her.

00:22:32 --> 00:22:34 - But the mistress that I think tells us

00:22:34 --> 00:22:35 - the most about Johnson

00:22:36 --> 00:22:39 - was a woman by the name of Alice

00:22:39 --> 00:22:39 - Glass

00:22:40 --> 00:22:41 - who,

00:22:42 --> 00:22:45 - married, I believe, a Jewish man. Her last

00:22:45 --> 00:22:46 - name wasn't Glass.

00:22:47 --> 00:22:51 - She, but she married into huge money, huge

00:22:51 --> 00:22:51 - money

00:22:52 --> 00:22:53 - in,

00:22:53 --> 00:22:54 - Texas.

00:22:55 --> 00:22:58 - And, later, her husband bought her an entire

00:22:58 --> 00:23:00 - estate, a European

00:23:00 --> 00:23:01 - style estate

00:23:02 --> 00:23:04 - outside of Washington DC where she used to

00:23:04 --> 00:23:05 - have,

00:23:05 --> 00:23:09 - soirees with the the movers and shakers folks.

00:23:09 --> 00:23:11 - Not people who were pretty well known in

00:23:11 --> 00:23:14 - this net. No. The powers that be frequently

00:23:15 --> 00:23:15 - there

00:23:16 --> 00:23:17 - and auditioning,

00:23:19 --> 00:23:20 - congressmen

00:23:20 --> 00:23:21 - and senators.

00:23:22 --> 00:23:25 - And one of those was Lyndon Johnson, and,

00:23:26 --> 00:23:28 - they ended up getting together right after he

00:23:28 --> 00:23:30 - first met her when he was invited there

00:23:30 --> 00:23:32 - to be sized up by

00:23:32 --> 00:23:34 - a lot of big donors, big players.

00:23:34 --> 00:23:37 - And they conducted a relationship for years and

00:23:37 --> 00:23:38 - years. And again,

00:23:39 --> 00:23:41 - she was a left winger. She was also

00:23:41 --> 00:23:41 - a Zionist.

00:23:42 --> 00:23:44 - She was involved with smuggling Israelis into the

00:23:44 --> 00:23:45 - country.

00:23:45 --> 00:23:47 - I think she was also involved with, smuggling

00:23:47 --> 00:23:50 - weapons into the country. There's disagreement about this,

00:23:50 --> 00:23:52 - some of this stuff. But, anyhow, she was

00:23:52 --> 00:23:54 - very involved with the Zionist movement.

00:23:54 --> 00:23:57 - They were very simpatico on their left wing

00:23:57 --> 00:23:59 - views and their Zionist views, Johnson

00:24:00 --> 00:24:01 - and Alice Glass,

00:24:02 --> 00:24:03 - but she,

00:24:03 --> 00:24:06 - broke off this relationship that went on for

00:24:06 --> 00:24:09 - years and years, a torrid relationship. All while,

00:24:09 --> 00:24:10 - he's a public figure,

00:24:10 --> 00:24:13 - married a ladybird, but she tore it. She,

00:24:14 --> 00:24:15 - she,

00:24:15 --> 00:24:16 - ended the relationship

00:24:17 --> 00:24:20 - after Johnson invaded Vietnam. She would became very

00:24:20 --> 00:24:22 - anti war and anti war movement.

00:24:23 --> 00:24:25 - And, you know, in the fifties, Johnson got

00:24:25 --> 00:24:27 - close to big business in Gahagan Douglas.

00:24:27 --> 00:24:30 - No longer involved with him. And now with

00:24:30 --> 00:24:30 - Vietnam,

00:24:31 --> 00:24:32 - this other left wing,

00:24:33 --> 00:24:34 - mistress,

00:24:35 --> 00:24:37 - broke it off with Lyndon Johnson.

00:24:38 --> 00:24:41 - So we're gonna continue the saga of LBJ

00:24:41 --> 00:24:44 - right after the news. You are listening to

00:24:44 --> 00:24:45 - Hour of Decision

00:24:45 --> 00:24:48 - on Liberty News Radio, and my name is

00:24:48 --> 00:24:49 - Lou Moore.

00:24:57 --> 00:24:58 - Second half

00:24:59 --> 00:25:02 - of the hour of decision

00:25:03 --> 00:25:04 - with Lou Moore

00:25:06 --> 00:25:08 - starts right now.

00:25:13 --> 00:25:15 - Welcome back to Hour of Decision. My name

00:25:15 --> 00:25:18 - is Lou Moore. We're talking about Lyndon Baines

00:25:18 --> 00:25:18 - Johnson

00:25:20 --> 00:25:21 - suddenly becoming the president

00:25:22 --> 00:25:25 - with a major psyop following. And we were

00:25:25 --> 00:25:27 - talking a little bit about who might have

00:25:27 --> 00:25:29 - killed Kennedy. Was Johnson involved?

00:25:29 --> 00:25:31 - Just raising some issues around that. I'm not

00:25:31 --> 00:25:32 - even gonna get into a lot of detail,

00:25:32 --> 00:25:34 - try to answer that question.

00:25:35 --> 00:25:37 - But we do have to remember that Billy

00:25:37 --> 00:25:40 - Solestis, who testified before our grand jury, this

00:25:40 --> 00:25:40 - crook

00:25:41 --> 00:25:42 - that Johnson was in business with,

00:25:43 --> 00:25:45 - alleged that Johnson was involved in a murder

00:25:45 --> 00:25:47 - ring and that they... He named all the

00:25:47 --> 00:25:49 - individuals that were murdered

00:25:50 --> 00:25:50 - all

00:25:51 --> 00:25:52 - at his behest, evidently,

00:25:53 --> 00:25:54 - and the last name on the list

00:25:55 --> 00:25:55 - was JFK.

00:25:56 --> 00:25:57 - And there is evidence

00:25:58 --> 00:26:02 - that this, Mac Wallace who, who was the,

00:26:02 --> 00:26:04 - who was the trigger man

00:26:04 --> 00:26:06 - in this murder group. If you go back

00:26:06 --> 00:26:08 - to my last episode, I talked in more

00:26:08 --> 00:26:09 - detail about all these guys.

00:26:10 --> 00:26:13 - Supposedly, there was DNA found that matched his

00:26:13 --> 00:26:16 - at the Texas depot... School book depository

00:26:17 --> 00:26:20 - where allegedly Lee Harvey Oswald took three shots

00:26:21 --> 00:26:23 - at John f Kennedy,

00:26:23 --> 00:26:25 - you know, with a high powered rifle.

00:26:25 --> 00:26:28 - And so... And on the same floor

00:26:28 --> 00:26:29 - that allegedly

00:26:29 --> 00:26:31 - Oswald was on. So I don't know.

00:26:32 --> 00:26:34 - I I didn't get too far. Not going

00:26:34 --> 00:26:36 - down all those rabbit holes. But, anyway,

00:26:36 --> 00:26:38 - allegation was made,

00:26:38 --> 00:26:41 - and, a grand jury found that one of

00:26:41 --> 00:26:41 - the allegations

00:26:42 --> 00:26:44 - that Soles has made in his, the same

00:26:44 --> 00:26:44 - testimony,

00:26:45 --> 00:26:47 - that actually reversed

00:26:47 --> 00:26:49 - a coroner's decision

00:26:49 --> 00:26:50 - that a... That that,

00:26:51 --> 00:26:53 - a agriculture inspector

00:26:53 --> 00:26:56 - that was after Solestas and possibly Johnson,

00:26:56 --> 00:26:58 - they had ruled it a suicide, but a

00:26:58 --> 00:26:59 - judge,

00:26:59 --> 00:27:02 - after Solesas made this testimony in the eighties,

00:27:02 --> 00:27:04 - long after Johnson was dead,

00:27:04 --> 00:27:06 - he reversed it and ruled it a murder

00:27:07 --> 00:27:10 - on the strength of a Texas Rangers investigation

00:27:11 --> 00:27:13 - of that whole situation with this agricultural

00:27:13 --> 00:27:15 - inspector. So

00:27:15 --> 00:27:17 - what about JFK? What about some of the

00:27:17 --> 00:27:20 - other names on the list like Johnson's sister?

00:27:20 --> 00:27:21 - So

00:27:21 --> 00:27:23 - I don't have any doubt

00:27:24 --> 00:27:26 - that Lyndon Johnson would have been capable

00:27:27 --> 00:27:29 - of playing a minor or major role

00:27:30 --> 00:27:31 - in what happened,

00:27:32 --> 00:27:33 - at, The Plaza

00:27:34 --> 00:27:35 - in Dallas, Texas

00:27:35 --> 00:27:37 - on that fateful day. But what we know

00:27:37 --> 00:27:38 - for sure

00:27:39 --> 00:27:41 - is he benefited greatly from

00:27:41 --> 00:27:42 - the events

00:27:43 --> 00:27:44 - that happened.

00:27:45 --> 00:27:45 - So,

00:27:47 --> 00:27:48 - but, again,

00:27:48 --> 00:27:49 - I say who

00:27:50 --> 00:27:51 - who

00:27:51 --> 00:27:54 - had the most power and could achieve the

00:27:54 --> 00:27:55 - most benefit

00:27:55 --> 00:27:56 - from this assassination.

00:27:57 --> 00:28:00 - I argue our overall corporate masters

00:28:01 --> 00:28:03 - that may have employed the CIA, that may

00:28:03 --> 00:28:04 - have employed members of the mob, that may

00:28:04 --> 00:28:07 - have employed the Israelis, may have employed

00:28:07 --> 00:28:10 - people connected to, local people connected to Johnson,

00:28:12 --> 00:28:14 - could have been involved. But I... My argument

00:28:14 --> 00:28:16 - is they were the driver.

00:28:16 --> 00:28:19 - They had the most to gain. They were

00:28:19 --> 00:28:20 - the most ruthless,

00:28:20 --> 00:28:23 - had the most ability to pull this off.

00:28:23 --> 00:28:25 - And if they... If and if it did

00:28:25 --> 00:28:25 - happen,

00:28:26 --> 00:28:29 - anywhere like that, there wasn't a 100 people

00:28:29 --> 00:28:31 - involved with it. I've heard some of these

00:28:31 --> 00:28:32 - conspiracy theorists.

00:28:32 --> 00:28:34 - I mean, they're talking about so many different

00:28:34 --> 00:28:36 - groups and groups of shooters and groups of

00:28:36 --> 00:28:38 - this and that and the right wingers and

00:28:38 --> 00:28:40 - everybody. You know? No. No. These things are

00:28:40 --> 00:28:41 - done very elegantly

00:28:42 --> 00:28:44 - and as simply as possible.

00:28:45 --> 00:28:47 - Like misdirecting Oswald to think he got an

00:28:47 --> 00:28:49 - order from Moscow to pull the trigger. That

00:28:49 --> 00:28:52 - would be a simple explanation of what happened.

00:28:52 --> 00:28:53 - But,

00:28:53 --> 00:28:55 - they could still come from this... These same

00:28:55 --> 00:28:58 - power blocks. But, anyway, not not going over

00:28:58 --> 00:28:59 - that too far today,

00:29:00 --> 00:29:02 - but what is really important

00:29:03 --> 00:29:06 - from this, first of all, Lyndon Johnson is

00:29:06 --> 00:29:07 - now the president. Congratulations,

00:29:08 --> 00:29:08 - Lyndon.

00:29:09 --> 00:29:11 - But the, the second part of this, I've

00:29:11 --> 00:29:13 - talked about it a little bit, but now

00:29:13 --> 00:29:14 - we're gonna go into it in more depth.

00:29:15 --> 00:29:18 - So the press created this come a lot

00:29:19 --> 00:29:21 - imagery around Kennedy.

00:29:22 --> 00:29:22 - Unbelievable

00:29:23 --> 00:29:24 - press. Nobody

00:29:24 --> 00:29:26 - got better press than JFK.

00:29:27 --> 00:29:28 - Let me tell you right now. And, of

00:29:28 --> 00:29:30 - course, he was right out of central casting,

00:29:31 --> 00:29:33 - and his family was right out of central

00:29:33 --> 00:29:34 - casting. And Jackie,

00:29:35 --> 00:29:36 - for the first lady, was right out of

00:29:36 --> 00:29:38 - central casting. I mean,

00:29:39 --> 00:29:41 - incredible. Incredible charisma, all of that.

00:29:42 --> 00:29:43 - So he was very popular,

00:29:44 --> 00:29:47 - but his, legislative agenda was a failure.

00:29:48 --> 00:29:49 - And a lot of it had to do

00:29:49 --> 00:29:50 - with Lyndon Johnson not,

00:29:51 --> 00:29:54 - using those powers of persuasion on southern Democrats

00:29:54 --> 00:29:55 - as he had in the fifties, and he

00:29:55 --> 00:29:58 - would again after he became president.

00:29:58 --> 00:29:59 - And so Kennedy's

00:30:00 --> 00:30:02 - legislative agenda failed.

00:30:03 --> 00:30:04 - But the...

00:30:04 --> 00:30:06 - They had already puffed Kennedy up in in

00:30:06 --> 00:30:08 - the minds of the public. And even as

00:30:08 --> 00:30:10 - his popularity was falling,

00:30:12 --> 00:30:14 - which it was in the last part of

00:30:14 --> 00:30:15 - 1963,

00:30:16 --> 00:30:18 - when he died, he was still over 50%.

00:30:18 --> 00:30:20 - I mean, Trump would only dream about the

00:30:20 --> 00:30:22 - numbers that Kennedy had.

00:30:22 --> 00:30:23 - But,

00:30:24 --> 00:30:25 - there were

00:30:26 --> 00:30:28 - Kennedy had some problems

00:30:28 --> 00:30:29 - in,

00:30:29 --> 00:30:30 - 1963,

00:30:30 --> 00:30:32 - and this adds to the theory that,

00:30:33 --> 00:30:35 - the powers that be took him out. So

00:30:35 --> 00:30:37 - this is my this is my complete argument

00:30:37 --> 00:30:39 - about this. He wasn't getting the job done.

00:30:40 --> 00:30:41 - He was exposing

00:30:41 --> 00:30:42 - himself,

00:30:43 --> 00:30:44 - not so much just to the Russians, but

00:30:44 --> 00:30:45 - to scandal.

00:30:46 --> 00:30:48 - But he was very wealthy. He had a

00:30:48 --> 00:30:51 - huge political organization that was very loyal to

00:30:51 --> 00:30:52 - him.

00:30:52 --> 00:30:54 - He might have been able to hang on

00:30:54 --> 00:30:55 - in the scandal

00:30:56 --> 00:30:58 - long enough to still be the candidate

00:30:59 --> 00:31:00 - in 1964

00:31:00 --> 00:31:03 - even if this scandal broke with Ellen Romich

00:31:03 --> 00:31:04 - or with some of these other women. I

00:31:04 --> 00:31:06 - haven't got into all the other women with

00:31:06 --> 00:31:08 - Kennedy. The list would be a mile long.

00:31:08 --> 00:31:11 - I mean, including a mobster's girlfriend, Sam Giancana's

00:31:11 --> 00:31:12 - girlfriend

00:31:12 --> 00:31:15 - slept with him for god's sake. Yeah. Anyway...

00:31:15 --> 00:31:16 - But, but Kennedy's

00:31:17 --> 00:31:18 - numbers were sinking.

00:31:18 --> 00:31:21 - They just came from a very lofty height.

00:31:21 --> 00:31:21 - And,

00:31:22 --> 00:31:23 - the economy

00:31:24 --> 00:31:26 - was slowing down quite a bit.

00:31:26 --> 00:31:29 - And, there was big concern in swing states

00:31:30 --> 00:31:32 - that the union vote would start turning against

00:31:32 --> 00:31:34 - Kennedy, the work... Like the steel workers. It's

00:31:34 --> 00:31:35 - a terrible

00:31:36 --> 00:31:37 - depression in the steel industry

00:31:38 --> 00:31:40 - coming into 1963.

00:31:40 --> 00:31:43 - His agenda, as I said, was stalled.

00:31:44 --> 00:31:46 - And then there was the specter of Vietnam,

00:31:46 --> 00:31:48 - which more and more of the press were

00:31:48 --> 00:31:50 - also picking up on the fact

00:31:51 --> 00:31:53 - that this was a big problem over in

00:31:53 --> 00:31:53 - Vietnam.

00:31:54 --> 00:31:55 - Kennedy had sent,

00:31:56 --> 00:31:57 - there are different numbers,

00:31:57 --> 00:31:59 - as many as 20

00:32:01 --> 00:32:02 - advisers in air quotes,

00:32:03 --> 00:32:03 - military.

00:32:04 --> 00:32:06 - 20 folks. He sent 20

00:32:07 --> 00:32:08 - of our troops to Vietnam

00:32:09 --> 00:32:10 - by some numbers. Some numbers are lower, but

00:32:10 --> 00:32:11 - it was

00:32:11 --> 00:32:12 - many thousands.

00:32:13 --> 00:32:14 - And,

00:32:14 --> 00:32:16 - things weren't going well.

00:32:17 --> 00:32:18 - Things were going so poorly

00:32:19 --> 00:32:21 - that the CIA convinced Kennedy

00:32:21 --> 00:32:22 - to assassinate

00:32:23 --> 00:32:25 - the leader of South Vietnam,

00:32:25 --> 00:32:26 - our ally,

00:32:27 --> 00:32:29 - in the war they were prosecuting

00:32:29 --> 00:32:32 - against Ho Chi Minh, then, who was at

00:32:32 --> 00:32:33 - that time

00:32:33 --> 00:32:34 - North Vietnamese,

00:32:35 --> 00:32:37 - and the communist country was North Vietnamese,

00:32:38 --> 00:32:39 - and the so called free country,

00:32:40 --> 00:32:43 - which it was not, was South Vietnam. I

00:32:43 --> 00:32:46 - have a whole episode on Vietnam that talks

00:32:46 --> 00:32:46 - about

00:32:46 --> 00:32:49 - how our corporate masters and the council on

00:32:49 --> 00:32:51 - foreign relations and the Atlantic Council and all

00:32:51 --> 00:32:53 - these people installed

00:32:53 --> 00:32:54 - Diem,

00:32:55 --> 00:32:55 - a Catholic

00:32:57 --> 00:32:58 - who was not popular,

00:32:58 --> 00:32:59 - rigged election,

00:33:00 --> 00:33:02 - installed him in as president

00:33:03 --> 00:33:05 - of Vietnam, and all the all the problems

00:33:05 --> 00:33:07 - that occurred from this that made it

00:33:08 --> 00:33:11 - really even at that point an unwinnable war.

00:33:11 --> 00:33:13 - Not to mention the fact

00:33:13 --> 00:33:15 - that the North Vietnamese were getting tons and

00:33:15 --> 00:33:18 - tons and tons of material from the Russians

00:33:19 --> 00:33:21 - as well as from the Chinese who were

00:33:21 --> 00:33:23 - right next door to them.

00:33:24 --> 00:33:27 - And we weren't... And we never did until

00:33:27 --> 00:33:30 - the very end of Nixon's patience running out

00:33:30 --> 00:33:32 - years and years later. We never bombed the

00:33:32 --> 00:33:32 - harbors.

00:33:33 --> 00:33:36 - We never we never actually went after the

00:33:36 --> 00:33:36 - supply

00:33:37 --> 00:33:40 - that kept the North Vietnamese going. But that...

00:33:40 --> 00:33:42 - That's the story of the Vietnam War almost

00:33:42 --> 00:33:43 - in a nutshell.

00:33:44 --> 00:33:45 - And, anyway,

00:33:46 --> 00:33:49 - not going well, though, already in 1963.

00:33:50 --> 00:33:52 - And, a lot... And Kennedy was saying he

00:33:52 --> 00:33:54 - was going to stay the course. That's what

00:33:54 --> 00:33:55 - he was saying. That's what he said to

00:33:55 --> 00:33:57 - Walter Cronkite in September

00:33:57 --> 00:33:58 - 1963.

00:33:58 --> 00:33:59 - Did not

00:33:59 --> 00:34:01 - send out a lot of signals he was

00:34:01 --> 00:34:03 - going to pull out. I don't think he

00:34:03 --> 00:34:05 - wanted to be there. I I really don't

00:34:05 --> 00:34:07 - think he wanted to ramp up

00:34:07 --> 00:34:09 - the way Johnson did, but Johnson may not

00:34:09 --> 00:34:10 - have wanted that either.

00:34:11 --> 00:34:13 - That... That's another story. We're gonna talk more

00:34:13 --> 00:34:14 - about Vietnam in this series

00:34:15 --> 00:34:16 - when we get to that... We we get

00:34:16 --> 00:34:17 - to,

00:34:17 --> 00:34:20 - the big ramp up after the sixty four

00:34:20 --> 00:34:22 - election. But, anyway, he had all these problems,

00:34:23 --> 00:34:26 - and then these scandals in the background starting

00:34:26 --> 00:34:27 - to come up. So,

00:34:28 --> 00:34:29 - Kennedy was sinking.

00:34:30 --> 00:34:31 - He was not getting the job done. He

00:34:31 --> 00:34:34 - was exposed scandal wise both with his womanizing

00:34:35 --> 00:34:39 - and his terrible health and his extremely

00:34:40 --> 00:34:41 - aggressive drug use

00:34:43 --> 00:34:45 - prescribed by a doctor, but nonetheless, I mean,

00:34:45 --> 00:34:45 - amphetamines,

00:34:46 --> 00:34:48 - barbiturate. I mean, the whole nine yards, the

00:34:48 --> 00:34:49 - whole cocktail,

00:34:50 --> 00:34:52 - a panoply of drugs, a ton of antibiotics

00:34:53 --> 00:34:55 - constantly being pumped through him. I mean, it's

00:34:55 --> 00:34:56 - unbelievable,

00:34:56 --> 00:34:59 - folks. But, and and that was... That scandal

00:34:59 --> 00:35:02 - hadn't broke, even though j Edgar Hoover was

00:35:02 --> 00:35:03 - on the case

00:35:03 --> 00:35:07 - because Kennedy... Bobby Kennedy got doctors to forge

00:35:07 --> 00:35:08 - their records

00:35:09 --> 00:35:10 - that were seeing the president

00:35:11 --> 00:35:13 - over that issue. So Kennedy

00:35:13 --> 00:35:15 - very exposed every reason

00:35:16 --> 00:35:17 - for him to be replaced

00:35:18 --> 00:35:20 - by Lyndon Johnson.

00:35:20 --> 00:35:22 - So they built Kennedy up, they came a

00:35:22 --> 00:35:24 - lot, and all this. So he's way built

00:35:24 --> 00:35:25 - up. He's very popular. He's

00:35:26 --> 00:35:27 - great politician.

00:35:28 --> 00:35:29 - So he's assassinated.

00:35:31 --> 00:35:31 - And immediately,

00:35:32 --> 00:35:33 - the martyrdom propaganda

00:35:33 --> 00:35:34 - goes,

00:35:35 --> 00:35:38 - goes into place. And, again, keep in mind,

00:35:38 --> 00:35:41 - we're looking at three primary television networks, which

00:35:41 --> 00:35:43 - was the major way that the average American

00:35:43 --> 00:35:46 - at this point now was consuming their news.

00:35:46 --> 00:35:47 - Secondarily,

00:35:48 --> 00:35:49 - radio and the newspapers,

00:35:49 --> 00:35:50 - but primarily

00:35:51 --> 00:35:51 - television.

00:35:52 --> 00:35:53 - And,

00:35:54 --> 00:35:57 - and it was off the charts, folks. I

00:35:57 --> 00:36:00 - mean, you know, president dies. He was popular.

00:36:00 --> 00:36:03 - They're all Democrats, all these newspaper. They're gonna

00:36:03 --> 00:36:05 - they're gonna treat him good, of course, but

00:36:05 --> 00:36:08 - this was so far... They deified

00:36:09 --> 00:36:11 - Kennedy. It's hard to describe, folks.

00:36:11 --> 00:36:14 - It's hard to describe unless you're watching daily

00:36:14 --> 00:36:16 - TV. Maybe you pick up some of this

00:36:16 --> 00:36:17 - stuff on YouTube.

00:36:17 --> 00:36:19 - The way they depicted that... And at the

00:36:19 --> 00:36:20 - same time

00:36:21 --> 00:36:22 - at the same time,

00:36:23 --> 00:36:25 - until it was absolutely

00:36:26 --> 00:36:27 - disabused,

00:36:28 --> 00:36:32 - Walter Cronkite, all of them were saying... Hinting,

00:36:33 --> 00:36:35 - saying it right out, some of them, that

00:36:35 --> 00:36:38 - it... This was a right wing conspiracy.

00:36:39 --> 00:36:41 - This was a bunch of right wingers killed

00:36:41 --> 00:36:43 - Kennedy. And, boy, that was convenient

00:36:44 --> 00:36:45 - because the conservative

00:36:45 --> 00:36:48 - movement, a populist movement that was drawing young

00:36:48 --> 00:36:48 - people,

00:36:49 --> 00:36:51 - drawing people all over the country

00:36:51 --> 00:36:53 - was firing up.

00:36:54 --> 00:36:54 - And,

00:36:55 --> 00:36:56 - that

00:36:57 --> 00:36:58 - was the reason why,

00:36:58 --> 00:37:00 - I think, there was a panic, and that's

00:37:00 --> 00:37:02 - why they decided to kill Kennedy because it

00:37:02 --> 00:37:03 - wasn't just

00:37:04 --> 00:37:06 - that he was, gonna be in,

00:37:06 --> 00:37:07 - gross scandal because

00:37:08 --> 00:37:10 - all the people they had on the scene

00:37:10 --> 00:37:11 - other than Robert Taft for years and years

00:37:11 --> 00:37:13 - would do to end up doing their bidding

00:37:13 --> 00:37:15 - when they got in the White House. Uniparty,

00:37:15 --> 00:37:16 - whether it was Republican

00:37:16 --> 00:37:17 - or Democrat.

00:37:18 --> 00:37:19 - But Barry Goldwater

00:37:20 --> 00:37:22 - was not singing their song.

00:37:22 --> 00:37:24 - He was totally against containment.

00:37:25 --> 00:37:26 - He wanted to defeat

00:37:27 --> 00:37:27 - communism

00:37:28 --> 00:37:30 - overseas. He wrote a book called Why Not

00:37:30 --> 00:37:30 - Victory.

00:37:31 --> 00:37:33 - And he wrote another book called The Conscience

00:37:33 --> 00:37:34 - of a Conservative

00:37:35 --> 00:37:37 - that had 10,

00:37:40 --> 00:37:40 - 10

00:37:40 --> 00:37:42 - copies in print.

00:37:43 --> 00:37:45 - This was a big deal, folks.

00:37:45 --> 00:37:46 - In California,

00:37:47 --> 00:37:49 - when Goldwater won the Republican primary

00:37:50 --> 00:37:51 - in 1964,

00:37:52 --> 00:37:55 - he was against Nelson Rockefeller who spent millions

00:37:55 --> 00:37:57 - and millions of dollars and blanketed.

00:37:58 --> 00:38:01 - California TV was some of the slickest best

00:38:01 --> 00:38:02 - ads ever seen,

00:38:03 --> 00:38:05 - up until that time, but Goldwater had twenty,

00:38:05 --> 00:38:08 - twenty five thousand people door knocking

00:38:08 --> 00:38:10 - around the state. I mean,

00:38:10 --> 00:38:11 - unbelievable.

00:38:11 --> 00:38:14 - And and beat him beat him in California,

00:38:14 --> 00:38:17 - which ended the chances of,

00:38:18 --> 00:38:19 - of folks that, are not on our side

00:38:19 --> 00:38:20 - of the fence

00:38:21 --> 00:38:22 - from,

00:38:23 --> 00:38:25 - taking Goldwater out in the primary. He was

00:38:25 --> 00:38:27 - gonna go to the general election.

00:38:29 --> 00:38:31 - So the right

00:38:32 --> 00:38:33 - was

00:38:33 --> 00:38:34 - on fire.

00:38:36 --> 00:38:37 - They had an understanding

00:38:37 --> 00:38:38 - of the enemy.

00:38:40 --> 00:38:43 - They had a coherent political philosophy primarily because

00:38:43 --> 00:38:44 - of a man by the name of,

00:38:45 --> 00:38:47 - William f Buckley.

00:38:48 --> 00:38:51 - They had a, political leader,

00:38:52 --> 00:38:54 - that could be their champion by the name

00:38:54 --> 00:38:56 - of Barry Goldwater, senator from Arizona,

00:38:58 --> 00:38:59 - and they had a strategy

00:39:01 --> 00:39:02 - which was

00:39:04 --> 00:39:06 - created by a number of individuals. But the

00:39:06 --> 00:39:09 - principal one was a fellow by name of

00:39:09 --> 00:39:10 - Clarence Mannion,

00:39:11 --> 00:39:13 - who had been an Eisenhower appointee. He had

00:39:13 --> 00:39:15 - been the dean of the Notre Dame Law

00:39:15 --> 00:39:18 - School, and he had also had, been one

00:39:18 --> 00:39:20 - of the founders of the John Birch Society.

00:39:21 --> 00:39:24 - And Manion had a vision of uniting the

00:39:24 --> 00:39:24 - South,

00:39:25 --> 00:39:27 - which had been voting Democrat. I mean, they

00:39:27 --> 00:39:30 - voted for Stevenson, for crying out loud. A

00:39:30 --> 00:39:31 - whole lot of them did. A lot of

00:39:31 --> 00:39:33 - the states in the Deep South

00:39:34 --> 00:39:36 - even went for the ultra left winger Adlai

00:39:36 --> 00:39:39 - Stevenson against Eisenhower twice.

00:39:39 --> 00:39:41 - You know, they went for Kennedy,

00:39:42 --> 00:39:43 - generally in 1960,

00:39:44 --> 00:39:46 - but he had a a vision of pulling

00:39:46 --> 00:39:48 - them all away

00:39:48 --> 00:39:50 - and uniting them

00:39:51 --> 00:39:52 - with conservatives

00:39:52 --> 00:39:54 - in the North and in the West,

00:39:55 --> 00:39:57 - in the Mid... Primarily in the Midwest and

00:39:57 --> 00:39:59 - the West, but also in in, like, New

00:39:59 --> 00:40:00 - Hampshire, places in the Northeast that were more

00:40:00 --> 00:40:03 - conservative at that time than they are now.

00:40:05 --> 00:40:06 - And to recreate

00:40:07 --> 00:40:09 - the party system to where one party

00:40:10 --> 00:40:12 - was the patriotic nationalist conservative

00:40:13 --> 00:40:15 - American party, and the other party was the

00:40:15 --> 00:40:16 - party of the globalists.

00:40:17 --> 00:40:19 - And the, centralizers,

00:40:19 --> 00:40:20 - the collectivist,

00:40:20 --> 00:40:21 - etcetera, etcetera.

00:40:22 --> 00:40:25 - So that was his mission. That was his

00:40:25 --> 00:40:28 - goal. And he used it, in his first

00:40:28 --> 00:40:30 - vehicle to do this was to write... To,

00:40:31 --> 00:40:34 - to take Barry Goldwater, write a book for

00:40:34 --> 00:40:36 - him, which was called conscious of a conservative,

00:40:37 --> 00:40:40 - and use it as an organizing tool all

00:40:40 --> 00:40:42 - over the country, not just as a propaganda

00:40:42 --> 00:40:44 - tool to get people read the book, but

00:40:44 --> 00:40:48 - have have it, independently printed and locally distributed

00:40:49 --> 00:40:50 - and have these distributors

00:40:50 --> 00:40:51 - be hubs

00:40:51 --> 00:40:54 - for what would become, he hoped, a GoWater

00:40:54 --> 00:40:56 - campaign. And, of course, the thing took off

00:40:56 --> 00:40:57 - like a rocket

00:40:58 --> 00:40:59 - as I was saying,

00:41:00 --> 00:41:02 - be... A minute ago.

00:41:03 --> 00:41:04 - And, so they were a danger.

00:41:05 --> 00:41:07 - This is the... There was the first real

00:41:07 --> 00:41:07 - challenge

00:41:08 --> 00:41:09 - to the bipartisan,

00:41:10 --> 00:41:10 - agreement

00:41:11 --> 00:41:13 - on more big government, at least some more

00:41:13 --> 00:41:15 - big government, if not a whole lot more.

00:41:16 --> 00:41:18 - You know, the the Republicans wanted to be

00:41:18 --> 00:41:21 - more gradual than the Democrats, but a big

00:41:21 --> 00:41:24 - government at home and a building world institutions

00:41:24 --> 00:41:26 - for a one world government

00:41:27 --> 00:41:27 - overseas.

00:41:28 --> 00:41:31 - And Gowater was the first candidate that had

00:41:31 --> 00:41:31 - a shot

00:41:32 --> 00:41:33 - at the White House

00:41:34 --> 00:41:35 - since Robert Taft,

00:41:36 --> 00:41:36 - who... To,

00:41:37 --> 00:41:39 - to achieve this. And, of course, he actually

00:41:39 --> 00:41:42 - won. Taft didn't win the Republican nomination. But,

00:41:43 --> 00:41:44 - by 1964,

00:41:44 --> 00:41:45 - the establishment

00:41:45 --> 00:41:46 - couldn't derail

00:41:46 --> 00:41:47 - the nationalists,

00:41:48 --> 00:41:50 - at the convention or in the primary system

00:41:50 --> 00:41:51 - as they did

00:41:51 --> 00:41:52 - to Robert Taft.

00:41:53 --> 00:41:53 - Rockefeller

00:41:54 --> 00:41:55 - lost big.

00:41:55 --> 00:41:58 - Goldwater was hugely popular all over the country

00:41:59 --> 00:42:01 - with the base as they call it.

00:42:01 --> 00:42:04 - So this movement was, building. I won't go

00:42:04 --> 00:42:06 - too much more into the discussion of the

00:42:06 --> 00:42:07 - conservative movement.

00:42:08 --> 00:42:11 - My Goldwater episode goes over it in detail.

00:42:12 --> 00:42:15 - But they needed to move their project forward.

00:42:15 --> 00:42:17 - Kennedy wasn't doing it, and now they needed

00:42:17 --> 00:42:18 - to stop.

00:42:19 --> 00:42:19 - Absolutely

00:42:20 --> 00:42:21 - make sure they

00:42:22 --> 00:42:23 - stop this rising

00:42:24 --> 00:42:25 - tide of conservatism

00:42:26 --> 00:42:28 - that was happening in the North and the

00:42:28 --> 00:42:28 - South.

00:42:29 --> 00:42:31 - It was happening among Democrats in the North

00:42:32 --> 00:42:33 - at that time

00:42:33 --> 00:42:34 - and

00:42:34 --> 00:42:36 - very much so in the South and happening

00:42:36 --> 00:42:39 - among a fairly large percentage of the Republicans.

00:42:41 --> 00:42:43 - The country was getting more conservative.

00:42:45 --> 00:42:46 - A big example of this,

00:42:48 --> 00:42:49 - after the smear campaign,

00:42:50 --> 00:42:51 - which I will talk about in a minute

00:42:51 --> 00:42:52 - with Goldwater,

00:42:52 --> 00:42:56 - Johnson wins California big in 1964.

00:42:56 --> 00:42:58 - But in a senatorial race,

00:42:59 --> 00:43:00 - another actor,

00:43:01 --> 00:43:03 - other than Ronald Reagan, a man named George

00:43:03 --> 00:43:05 - Murphy, a vaudeville dancer,

00:43:06 --> 00:43:09 - defeated Robert f Kennedy's former press secretary by

00:43:09 --> 00:43:10 - a large margin

00:43:11 --> 00:43:12 - in California

00:43:13 --> 00:43:15 - to become United States senator at the same

00:43:15 --> 00:43:17 - time Johnson was winning. They also passed,

00:43:18 --> 00:43:21 - two to one, a bill to stop,

00:43:21 --> 00:43:22 - forced

00:43:23 --> 00:43:23 - integration

00:43:23 --> 00:43:24 - of housing,

00:43:26 --> 00:43:26 - and,

00:43:27 --> 00:43:28 - and blockbusting

00:43:28 --> 00:43:30 - and all that kind of stuff that was

00:43:30 --> 00:43:31 - going on at the time.

00:43:32 --> 00:43:34 - That that was voted against almost two to

00:43:34 --> 00:43:35 - one. This is California,

00:43:35 --> 00:43:36 - folks.

00:43:37 --> 00:43:38 - So that gives you an idea of the

00:43:38 --> 00:43:39 - tenor at the times that you get a

00:43:39 --> 00:43:41 - more conservative states in California.

00:43:43 --> 00:43:44 - So it was time.

00:43:45 --> 00:43:46 - And, people,

00:43:46 --> 00:43:49 - people poo pooed this now, but Go Water

00:43:49 --> 00:43:49 - was rolling.

00:43:50 --> 00:43:52 - He had, we can get into issues about

00:43:52 --> 00:43:54 - him. He wasn't, in many ways, the greatest

00:43:54 --> 00:43:55 - candidate,

00:43:55 --> 00:43:56 - I will say. But, anyhow,

00:43:57 --> 00:43:58 - they had to stop. He looked like he

00:43:58 --> 00:43:59 - could be formidable.

00:44:00 --> 00:44:01 - He had to be stopped, and they want

00:44:01 --> 00:44:04 - to move their project forward. Two big reasons

00:44:05 --> 00:44:05 - Kennedy

00:44:05 --> 00:44:07 - had to go.

00:44:07 --> 00:44:08 - And, so

00:44:09 --> 00:44:09 - that's that.

00:44:10 --> 00:44:13 - So Johnson, Johnson is now president.

00:44:13 --> 00:44:14 - Assassination

00:44:14 --> 00:44:15 - has occurred,

00:44:16 --> 00:44:18 - and Johnson's gotta lay low

00:44:18 --> 00:44:21 - because they're building Kennedy up even more than

00:44:21 --> 00:44:23 - when he was president a whole lot more.

00:44:24 --> 00:44:26 - And Johnson can't look like a usurper

00:44:26 --> 00:44:29 - or anything but just kind of a carrying

00:44:29 --> 00:44:31 - the mantle of the great leader, carrying it

00:44:31 --> 00:44:33 - forward, carrying his legislative

00:44:34 --> 00:44:34 - agenda

00:44:35 --> 00:44:35 - forward.

00:44:36 --> 00:44:38 - And so Johnson, for him,

00:44:39 --> 00:44:41 - is basically laying low,

00:44:41 --> 00:44:43 - but he does twist the screws

00:44:44 --> 00:44:45 - on the southern Democrats

00:44:46 --> 00:44:49 - to pass the civil rights act of 1964,

00:44:49 --> 00:44:52 - a huge attack on states' rights, a huge

00:44:52 --> 00:44:54 - attack on freedom of association,

00:44:54 --> 00:44:54 - a huge

00:44:56 --> 00:44:59 - step forward in building federal power

00:45:00 --> 00:45:02 - for our corporate masters.

00:45:03 --> 00:45:06 - It's not a small thing. That was passed

00:45:06 --> 00:45:08 - before Johnson was elected in his own right

00:45:08 --> 00:45:10 - in 1964.

00:45:10 --> 00:45:12 - But the other thing... The other big item

00:45:13 --> 00:45:15 - that I wanna talk about, talking about him

00:45:15 --> 00:45:18 - as president before he was elected in his

00:45:18 --> 00:45:18 - own right,

00:45:19 --> 00:45:19 - was,

00:45:20 --> 00:45:23 - a speech he gave in May up in

00:45:23 --> 00:45:23 - Michigan,

00:45:25 --> 00:45:27 - the home of a man named Walter Reuther,

00:45:28 --> 00:45:31 - a wire puller and a half, a man

00:45:31 --> 00:45:33 - behind the scenes that has more to do

00:45:34 --> 00:45:37 - with almost every major movement of the left

00:45:37 --> 00:45:39 - than you possibly could understand. I have an

00:45:39 --> 00:45:42 - I have an an episode on Walter Reuther,

00:45:42 --> 00:45:45 - and I suggest you listen to it,

00:45:45 --> 00:45:48 - because you'll be amazed. This man was behind

00:45:48 --> 00:45:50 - Earth Day. This man started the new left.

00:45:50 --> 00:45:53 - This man was the financial engine behind the

00:45:53 --> 00:45:54 - civil rights movement.

00:45:54 --> 00:45:55 - This guy was,

00:45:57 --> 00:45:59 - in so many ways, he was a huge

00:45:59 --> 00:45:59 - internationalist.

00:46:00 --> 00:46:02 - He was a bridge between the labor movement

00:46:03 --> 00:46:04 - and the internationalist

00:46:04 --> 00:46:05 - and,

00:46:06 --> 00:46:08 - and was, since he was with the auto

00:46:08 --> 00:46:09 - workers,

00:46:10 --> 00:46:12 - a a union that was devastated more than

00:46:12 --> 00:46:13 - any other

00:46:13 --> 00:46:15 - by the free trade regime of the globalist.

00:46:15 --> 00:46:17 - It was kinda handy to have a globalist

00:46:17 --> 00:46:18 - cheerleader

00:46:19 --> 00:46:20 - running that union

00:46:20 --> 00:46:22 - and not a nationalist

00:46:22 --> 00:46:25 - running that union. So Walter Ruth was huge.

00:46:25 --> 00:46:26 - So Johnson made this speech

00:46:26 --> 00:46:27 - in,

00:46:28 --> 00:46:31 - Michigan, May 1964, and he

00:46:31 --> 00:46:32 - unveils

00:46:32 --> 00:46:34 - the great society.

00:46:34 --> 00:46:37 - Great... The great society, a book written by

00:46:37 --> 00:46:39 - Graham Wallace in in the early nineteen hundreds.

00:46:40 --> 00:46:43 - Everybody in the intercollegiate socialist society was reading

00:46:43 --> 00:46:45 - it back then. I'm sure it was just

00:46:45 --> 00:46:46 - a coincidence that that was the name of

00:46:46 --> 00:46:49 - that book. Even though it talks about doing

00:46:49 --> 00:46:51 - the very things that Roosevelt started to do

00:46:51 --> 00:46:53 - and that Johnson would continue

00:46:54 --> 00:46:56 - with gusto. So it's kind of a pre...

00:46:56 --> 00:46:57 - Preview

00:46:58 --> 00:46:59 - of what's coming

00:46:59 --> 00:47:02 - with the new deal, but we'll, talk more

00:47:02 --> 00:47:03 - about,

00:47:03 --> 00:47:05 - with the... Excuse me, with the great society

00:47:05 --> 00:47:08 - legislation, but we will talk about that

00:47:09 --> 00:47:11 - in, I believe, the next episode.

00:47:12 --> 00:47:13 - So this race with Goldwater.

00:47:14 --> 00:47:16 - So they're making Kennedy out like a martyr.

00:47:17 --> 00:47:19 - Johnson's a hero because he's carrying the mantle

00:47:19 --> 00:47:22 - of the fallen leader, and they are demonizing

00:47:22 --> 00:47:23 - Goldwater.

00:47:24 --> 00:47:25 - You can't believe it, folks.

00:47:26 --> 00:47:29 - Not a positive word about Goldwater. Basically,

00:47:29 --> 00:47:32 - the theme was he was crazy, and all

00:47:32 --> 00:47:33 - of the networks were marching

00:47:34 --> 00:47:36 - psychiatrists on TV to say, Go Waters crazy.

00:47:37 --> 00:47:39 - He's insane. You can't let him near the

00:47:39 --> 00:47:40 - nuclear button.

00:47:40 --> 00:47:42 - And it was so bad that after the

00:47:42 --> 00:47:42 - election,

00:47:43 --> 00:47:46 - once they'd accomplished their mission, the American Psychiatric

00:47:46 --> 00:47:47 - Association,

00:47:48 --> 00:47:50 - put out a rule. It said that you

00:47:50 --> 00:47:52 - can't go out in public as a psychiatrist

00:47:53 --> 00:47:55 - and offer a psychological

00:47:55 --> 00:47:56 - diagnosis

00:47:57 --> 00:47:59 - of a public figure, and they called it

00:47:59 --> 00:48:02 - the Goldwater rule because they were doing so

00:48:02 --> 00:48:03 - much of that,

00:48:04 --> 00:48:04 - at that time.

00:48:05 --> 00:48:05 - So,

00:48:07 --> 00:48:09 - yeah, it was unbelievable, folks. Of course, they

00:48:09 --> 00:48:12 - they... It it kinda culminated with the Daisy

00:48:12 --> 00:48:14 - ad with the little girl picking flowers, and

00:48:14 --> 00:48:17 - then the nuclear bomb goes off.

00:48:17 --> 00:48:19 - And, you know, the implication at Goldwater, he

00:48:19 --> 00:48:22 - was gonna use nukes. He wanted to use

00:48:22 --> 00:48:24 - nukes everywhere. He was absolutely out of his

00:48:24 --> 00:48:25 - mind.

00:48:25 --> 00:48:26 - And so,

00:48:27 --> 00:48:28 - it was a wipeout.

00:48:29 --> 00:48:30 - It was a wipeout

00:48:31 --> 00:48:32 - in 1964,

00:48:32 --> 00:48:33 - although

00:48:33 --> 00:48:37 - Lyndon Johnson was even thinking about not running.

00:48:37 --> 00:48:39 - He was so afraid

00:48:40 --> 00:48:41 - of this conservative

00:48:41 --> 00:48:43 - undertone that he knew

00:48:44 --> 00:48:45 - was coming in this country. He wasn't afraid

00:48:45 --> 00:48:47 - to go water per se,

00:48:47 --> 00:48:49 - but he had a foreboding

00:48:50 --> 00:48:51 - about the future.

00:48:53 --> 00:48:55 - And, in some ways, it was

00:48:56 --> 00:48:57 - a legitimate one.

00:48:57 --> 00:48:59 - So we will talk more about that in

00:48:59 --> 00:49:01 - our next Johnson episode.

00:49:02 --> 00:49:04 - I wanna remind you that there's gonna be

00:49:04 --> 00:49:06 - an election in a few weeks, and there

00:49:06 --> 00:49:08 - may be a little hanky panky.

00:49:08 --> 00:49:09 - We're not quite sure.

00:49:10 --> 00:49:11 - We're told not by a lot of people,

00:49:11 --> 00:49:13 - but I think there might be a little

00:49:13 --> 00:49:14 - bit. It could be a ton

00:49:15 --> 00:49:16 - in some areas.

00:49:17 --> 00:49:19 - So I suggest you go every week and

00:49:19 --> 00:49:21 - look at securevote.news.

00:49:21 --> 00:49:23 - Secure vote.news

00:49:24 --> 00:49:26 - where we have the late... Latest

00:49:26 --> 00:49:29 - news information on all of the election integrity

00:49:29 --> 00:49:30 - issues

00:49:31 --> 00:49:31 - in America.

00:49:32 --> 00:49:34 - This is the hour of decision.

00:49:34 --> 00:49:35 - My name is Lou Moore.

00:49:36 --> 00:49:37 - Talk to you later.
