Episode 128 Hour of Decision: 3rd Party Fever! Is it the RIGHT move?

The hubbub around a picture of Tucker Carlson, MTG, Joe Kent, and Thomas Massie prompted Lew to go over the history of the “two party system” as well as some history about major and minor “Third Parties.”

Lew then pivots to Trump’s betrayal of the America First base he had built into an electoral majority and the prospects of (and problems with) building a 3rd party around many of the principles Trump ran on.

00:00:00 --> 00:00:02 - Look around you.

00:00:03 --> 00:00:06 - Wrong rules the land while waiting justice sleeps.

00:00:06 --> 00:00:08 - I saw in the congress,

00:00:08 --> 00:00:10 - crossing the country,

00:00:10 --> 00:00:12 - campaigning with Ron Paul.

00:00:12 --> 00:00:13 - Tyranny

00:00:14 --> 00:00:14 - rising,

00:00:15 --> 00:00:15 - unspeakable

00:00:16 --> 00:00:16 - evil,

00:00:17 --> 00:00:17 - manifesting.

00:00:18 --> 00:00:21 - Devils lying about our heritage who want to

00:00:21 --> 00:00:23 - enslave and replace us.

00:00:24 --> 00:00:25 - But we are Americans

00:00:26 --> 00:00:26 - with a manifest destiny to bring the

00:00:38 --> 00:00:39 - decision.

00:00:41 --> 00:00:43 - Hour of Decision.

00:00:45 --> 00:00:48 - Hour of Decision with Lou Moore starts now.

00:00:48 --> 00:00:51 - Welcome to the one hundred and twenty ninth

00:00:51 --> 00:00:53 - episode of Hour of Decision.

00:00:53 --> 00:00:55 - My name is Lou Moore. And today, folks,

00:00:55 --> 00:00:56 - we're gonna

00:00:57 --> 00:01:00 - explore third party fever. Are you feeling it?

00:01:00 --> 00:01:02 - Are you feeling it there with Tucker Carlson?

00:01:03 --> 00:01:06 - You feeling it with Thomas Massey, Joe Kent,

00:01:07 --> 00:01:10 - Marjorie Taylor Greene sitting around the table there,

00:01:11 --> 00:01:12 - scheming look,

00:01:13 --> 00:01:15 - a scheming look on their face,

00:01:15 --> 00:01:17 - a little bit of a twinkle in their

00:01:17 --> 00:01:18 - eye. They're up to mischief.

00:01:19 --> 00:01:21 - They're up to mischief against the GOP

00:01:22 --> 00:01:25 - in the throes of the big Trump corporate

00:01:25 --> 00:01:26 - America sellout.

00:01:28 --> 00:01:31 - And, so, wow, third party fever is back

00:01:31 --> 00:01:32 - for a lot of us.

00:01:33 --> 00:01:35 - And for a lot of those, bots that

00:01:35 --> 00:01:36 - Israel is paying for,

00:01:37 --> 00:01:39 - it is the worst thing on Earth because

00:01:39 --> 00:01:42 - it has Tucker Carlson, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Joe

00:01:42 --> 00:01:44 - Kent, and Thomas Massie involved with

00:01:44 --> 00:01:45 - it. But, anyway,

00:01:46 --> 00:01:47 - this calls for a

00:01:48 --> 00:01:50 - you know, going back, in my opinion, going

00:01:50 --> 00:01:52 - back and talking about third parties,

00:01:53 --> 00:01:55 - I always say America

00:01:55 --> 00:01:57 - in its entire history has been in a

00:01:57 --> 00:01:59 - two party dynamic

00:02:01 --> 00:02:04 - since the administration of George Washington, and it

00:02:04 --> 00:02:04 - was actually,

00:02:05 --> 00:02:08 - exploding out within his cabinet even under Washington,

00:02:09 --> 00:02:11 - who was against political parties and there weren't

00:02:11 --> 00:02:14 - any, when he I mean, it was pretty

00:02:14 --> 00:02:16 - unanimous for him to be our first president.

00:02:17 --> 00:02:18 - But intercede,

00:02:19 --> 00:02:22 - warfare in the cabinet broke out primarily between

00:02:22 --> 00:02:22 - Hamilton,

00:02:23 --> 00:02:25 - Alexander Hamilton, secretary of the treasury,

00:02:26 --> 00:02:27 - and Thomas

00:02:27 --> 00:02:28 - Jefferson.

00:02:29 --> 00:02:31 - And that is the basis, the Hamiltonian

00:02:32 --> 00:02:35 - view of having a stronger central government, having

00:02:35 --> 00:02:36 - a central bank,

00:02:37 --> 00:02:39 - having the ability of a central bank to

00:02:40 --> 00:02:43 - make debt payments to the banks in Europe,

00:02:44 --> 00:02:46 - but also in building an industrial base for

00:02:46 --> 00:02:49 - The United States so The United States could

00:02:49 --> 00:02:50 - truly be sovereign.

00:02:51 --> 00:02:52 - That was Hamilton's

00:02:52 --> 00:02:55 - point of view, and it, became the point

00:02:55 --> 00:02:57 - of view of the Federalist Party

00:02:57 --> 00:03:00 - starting with the first election after Washington.

00:03:00 --> 00:03:03 - Their standard bearer was John Adams,

00:03:03 --> 00:03:05 - who was the second president of The United

00:03:05 --> 00:03:06 - States.

00:03:06 --> 00:03:09 - And then we have possibly the most titanic

00:03:09 --> 00:03:10 - and dirtiest

00:03:11 --> 00:03:11 - presidential

00:03:11 --> 00:03:14 - campaign in the history of The United States,

00:03:16 --> 00:03:16 - followed,

00:03:17 --> 00:03:19 - Adams' first term as he took on Thomas

00:03:19 --> 00:03:20 - Jefferson.

00:03:21 --> 00:03:23 - And now we see a full flowering of

00:03:23 --> 00:03:25 - the two party dynamic, and Jefferson's view

00:03:26 --> 00:03:28 - was that we should have a very limited

00:03:28 --> 00:03:28 - government,

00:03:29 --> 00:03:31 - focus more on the bill of rights, focusing

00:03:31 --> 00:03:33 - on educating our people,

00:03:33 --> 00:03:34 - not having tariffs,

00:03:35 --> 00:03:38 - not worrying about developing industry, having free trade,

00:03:39 --> 00:03:42 - but also having sound money and not having

00:03:42 --> 00:03:43 - a central bank

00:03:44 --> 00:03:46 - printing the money. So there's kind of a

00:03:46 --> 00:03:47 - mix when you look at politics

00:03:47 --> 00:03:50 - back then and politics today. But that was

00:03:50 --> 00:03:51 - the beginning, folks,

00:03:52 --> 00:03:54 - of the two party dynamic. And at that

00:03:54 --> 00:03:56 - time, it was the Federalist and the

00:03:57 --> 00:03:57 - Democratic

00:03:58 --> 00:03:58 - Republicans,

00:03:59 --> 00:03:59 - and

00:03:59 --> 00:04:01 - the Democratic Republicans

00:04:01 --> 00:04:04 - became the Democrats. That's why they're the oldest

00:04:04 --> 00:04:05 - party.

00:04:05 --> 00:04:06 - And,

00:04:06 --> 00:04:07 - soon after,

00:04:08 --> 00:04:09 - the federalists kind of,

00:04:10 --> 00:04:12 - vanished from the scene and were replaced by

00:04:12 --> 00:04:13 - the Whigs.

00:04:14 --> 00:04:16 - The Whig Party, the Henry Clay

00:04:16 --> 00:04:18 - movement. What did he call it? The America

00:04:18 --> 00:04:20 - plan? Anyway, very much

00:04:21 --> 00:04:21 - infrastructure

00:04:21 --> 00:04:22 - orientated,

00:04:23 --> 00:04:23 - big projects,

00:04:24 --> 00:04:26 - government doing big projects,

00:04:27 --> 00:04:29 - and the government being very involved with the

00:04:29 --> 00:04:32 - central banking operations in Europe.

00:04:32 --> 00:04:34 - And, of course, we had the US Bank

00:04:34 --> 00:04:37 - and then, Andrew Jackson came in, a Democrat,

00:04:38 --> 00:04:39 - and went to war

00:04:40 --> 00:04:41 - against the,

00:04:42 --> 00:04:44 - Bank of the United States. Anyway, I won't

00:04:44 --> 00:04:45 - go too far down all those roads, but

00:04:45 --> 00:04:47 - that was the beginning of the dynamic.

00:04:48 --> 00:04:51 - Democrats and Whigs at this point, I'm talking

00:04:51 --> 00:04:53 - about '18 thirties,

00:04:53 --> 00:04:55 - eighteen forties, then we got to the eighteen

00:04:55 --> 00:04:56 - fifties,

00:04:57 --> 00:05:00 - and, the Whigs are supplanted by the Republicans.

00:05:01 --> 00:05:03 - I'm gonna get back to the history of

00:05:03 --> 00:05:06 - third parties in just a minute, but the

00:05:06 --> 00:05:09 - the GOP was in fact the first third

00:05:09 --> 00:05:10 - party and the only

00:05:11 --> 00:05:12 - third party

00:05:12 --> 00:05:13 - to capture,

00:05:14 --> 00:05:16 - one of the two poll positions, so to

00:05:16 --> 00:05:18 - speak, in the two party dynamic

00:05:19 --> 00:05:21 - that continued, at that time and then all

00:05:21 --> 00:05:24 - the way from then until now.

00:05:24 --> 00:05:26 - So then you had the Republicans

00:05:26 --> 00:05:27 - and the Democrats,

00:05:28 --> 00:05:31 - the wigs going into the dustbin of history,

00:05:32 --> 00:05:33 - and,

00:05:34 --> 00:05:36 - the dynamic of one b for a stronger

00:05:36 --> 00:05:38 - central government and, of course, a national government

00:05:38 --> 00:05:41 - with the civil war, a strong national government,

00:05:42 --> 00:05:45 - where versus the Democrats being smaller government and

00:05:45 --> 00:05:47 - be willing to let the states have more

00:05:47 --> 00:05:49 - states' rights.

00:05:49 --> 00:05:51 - So after the civil war, I won't get

00:05:51 --> 00:05:53 - into all the complexities of the war and

00:05:53 --> 00:05:55 - what that did to the party system. But

00:05:55 --> 00:05:57 - after the war, that that that is where

00:05:57 --> 00:06:00 - the two parties stood as I just, as

00:06:00 --> 00:06:01 - I just explained.

00:06:02 --> 00:06:02 - And,

00:06:03 --> 00:06:06 - that dynamic continued until the progressive movement,

00:06:07 --> 00:06:09 - which is then the first time really

00:06:10 --> 00:06:11 - that one ideology,

00:06:12 --> 00:06:14 - one general line of thinking, which in this

00:06:14 --> 00:06:16 - case was that experts

00:06:16 --> 00:06:18 - should be running things and that government should

00:06:18 --> 00:06:21 - get a whole lot more involved with everything,

00:06:22 --> 00:06:25 - captured to a degree both parties,

00:06:26 --> 00:06:28 - but leaving wings of each of the parties

00:06:29 --> 00:06:30 - not supporting that

00:06:31 --> 00:06:33 - point of view, the progressive, point of view,

00:06:33 --> 00:06:34 - particularly in the Democrats.

00:06:35 --> 00:06:36 - So,

00:06:36 --> 00:06:37 - anyway,

00:06:37 --> 00:06:40 - you get through World War one. You have

00:06:40 --> 00:06:43 - in the, nine election nineteen twelve, you have

00:06:43 --> 00:06:44 - three candidates,

00:06:45 --> 00:06:46 - and they're all progressives.

00:06:48 --> 00:06:51 - A progressive wins Woodrow Wilson, a Democrat,

00:06:52 --> 00:06:54 - and he establishes the big government

00:06:55 --> 00:06:57 - basis of the Democrats that we know now.

00:06:58 --> 00:07:00 - And, that went back and forth a little

00:07:00 --> 00:07:02 - bit in the twenties, but was completely cemented

00:07:02 --> 00:07:04 - by Franklin Delano Roosevelt,

00:07:06 --> 00:07:07 - with his election in '19,

00:07:08 --> 00:07:09 - '32 in the inauguration

00:07:10 --> 00:07:11 - of the New Deal.

00:07:11 --> 00:07:13 - And it's been that way ever since

00:07:14 --> 00:07:17 - with the Democrats, albeit with a conservative

00:07:17 --> 00:07:20 - wing primarily in the South, not entirely,

00:07:21 --> 00:07:24 - that lasted through the fifties and, into the

00:07:24 --> 00:07:26 - nineteen sixties and didn't really

00:07:27 --> 00:07:30 - go away completely until the nineteen eighties. It

00:07:30 --> 00:07:31 - pretty much vanished

00:07:32 --> 00:07:33 - by that time

00:07:33 --> 00:07:35 - with just a few remnants around. Few remnants

00:07:35 --> 00:07:36 - not even

00:07:37 --> 00:07:39 - in the South. I know a state senator

00:07:39 --> 00:07:40 - in Washington state.

00:07:41 --> 00:07:42 - He I don't believe he ever ran as

00:07:42 --> 00:07:45 - a Republican. He was more conservative than most

00:07:45 --> 00:07:46 - of the Republicans

00:07:47 --> 00:07:49 - in the state senate where he,

00:07:50 --> 00:07:51 - lived for years.

00:07:52 --> 00:07:54 - And so there were these outlier

00:07:54 --> 00:07:56 - individuals around the country, but just not very

00:07:56 --> 00:07:58 - many of them in the Democrat party.

00:07:59 --> 00:08:00 - So, anyway, the Republicans,

00:08:01 --> 00:08:02 - progressive,

00:08:02 --> 00:08:05 - but, reaction reacted to Wilson and a a

00:08:05 --> 00:08:06 - more reactionary

00:08:07 --> 00:08:09 - wing or what they called the old guard,

00:08:11 --> 00:08:14 - emerged in the GOP to challenge the more

00:08:14 --> 00:08:14 - progressive

00:08:14 --> 00:08:16 - ring wing, which became the internationalist

00:08:18 --> 00:08:20 - wing, which we now know is rhinos. They're

00:08:20 --> 00:08:21 - all still around intellectual

00:08:22 --> 00:08:24 - train chain all the way back

00:08:25 --> 00:08:27 - to, to the progressive era.

00:08:28 --> 00:08:29 - But the Republicans in general,

00:08:30 --> 00:08:32 - assume to a degree,

00:08:33 --> 00:08:37 - the smaller government party and particularly wants conservatism,

00:08:38 --> 00:08:39 - the ideology,

00:08:41 --> 00:08:44 - fostered by the John Birch Society, by William

00:08:44 --> 00:08:46 - F. Buckley, by Barry Goldwater,

00:08:47 --> 00:08:49 - by the Young Americans for Freedom,

00:08:49 --> 00:08:52 - in the nineteen fifties and early nineteen sixties,

00:08:53 --> 00:08:55 - that pretty much put the GOP on the

00:08:55 --> 00:08:57 - path of being very much

00:08:57 --> 00:09:00 - the small government party except in their actions.

00:09:01 --> 00:09:02 - One problem.

00:09:03 --> 00:09:05 - So this dynamic and they and it could

00:09:05 --> 00:09:08 - the dynamic continues to this day.

00:09:09 --> 00:09:11 - We'll get into every back and forth of

00:09:11 --> 00:09:12 - our last few years.

00:09:14 --> 00:09:14 - But,

00:09:16 --> 00:09:19 - generally, the dynamic has something to do with

00:09:19 --> 00:09:21 - the role of government and how

00:09:21 --> 00:09:24 - active the government should be in society,

00:09:25 --> 00:09:27 - how much the federal government should be dominated

00:09:27 --> 00:09:28 - over the states,

00:09:29 --> 00:09:31 - how much rights individual should have.

00:09:31 --> 00:09:34 - But, you know, it's we're generalizing on all

00:09:34 --> 00:09:36 - of this because I just talked about the

00:09:36 --> 00:09:38 - state centered there in Washington that was a

00:09:38 --> 00:09:40 - conservative Democrat in the nineties,

00:09:41 --> 00:09:43 - and I think in the February even.

00:09:44 --> 00:09:46 - But there's always outliers and whatnot, but the

00:09:46 --> 00:09:47 - the these are some of the general trends.

00:09:47 --> 00:09:49 - So that's the two party dynamic.

00:09:50 --> 00:09:52 - These are the dominant parties.

00:09:52 --> 00:09:54 - These are the parties that put a president

00:09:54 --> 00:09:56 - at power every election,

00:09:57 --> 00:10:00 - every single election. Are you hearing me?

00:10:00 --> 00:10:01 - Every

00:10:01 --> 00:10:02 - single election

00:10:03 --> 00:10:05 - from the time of John Adams

00:10:06 --> 00:10:08 - until now. Two party

00:10:09 --> 00:10:09 - system,

00:10:10 --> 00:10:12 - as they call it, two party dynamic.

00:10:13 --> 00:10:15 - The the views of the parties change,

00:10:16 --> 00:10:18 - and there's really kind of a role reversal

00:10:19 --> 00:10:21 - in terms of the Democrat Party of the

00:10:21 --> 00:10:22 - eighteen eighties,

00:10:23 --> 00:10:26 - and then the Democrat Party, once Roosevelt got

00:10:26 --> 00:10:30 - in, and then the conservative movement started, in

00:10:30 --> 00:10:31 - the fifties in the Republicans,

00:10:32 --> 00:10:35 - really pretty much executing a role reversal

00:10:36 --> 00:10:38 - between which government, which party at least claimed

00:10:39 --> 00:10:41 - to be the small

00:10:41 --> 00:10:42 - government party.

00:10:43 --> 00:10:45 - But all along, folks,

00:10:46 --> 00:10:48 - there were people with great ideas thinking, boy,

00:10:48 --> 00:10:50 - we just don't like either one of these

00:10:50 --> 00:10:50 - parties.

00:10:51 --> 00:10:53 - And there were all kinds of reasons

00:10:54 --> 00:10:55 - for that.

00:10:55 --> 00:10:56 - But,

00:10:57 --> 00:10:59 - so and there's kinda been two types

00:11:00 --> 00:11:03 - of third parties in this country. Parties that

00:11:03 --> 00:11:04 - were really bidding

00:11:05 --> 00:11:07 - on some level with some degree of of

00:11:07 --> 00:11:08 - legitimacy

00:11:09 --> 00:11:11 - to be a dominant party.

00:11:12 --> 00:11:13 - And,

00:11:13 --> 00:11:16 - as I said, only one succeeded in becoming

00:11:16 --> 00:11:18 - a dominant party. That was the Republicans

00:11:19 --> 00:11:20 - between 1856

00:11:20 --> 00:11:21 - and 1860.

00:11:23 --> 00:11:25 - And with the election of, Abraham Lincoln,

00:11:27 --> 00:11:30 - they they went from third party status to,

00:11:30 --> 00:11:32 - to, one of the two major parties, but

00:11:32 --> 00:11:34 - that's the only time. That's the only time

00:11:34 --> 00:11:35 - that's happened, and,

00:11:36 --> 00:11:39 - and they were a dominant party by 1860.

00:11:39 --> 00:11:41 - And the Democrats were divided. We'll get into

00:11:41 --> 00:11:44 - all that civil war. Everything got pretty complicated

00:11:44 --> 00:11:46 - there in 1860

00:11:46 --> 00:11:47 - when Lincoln won.

00:11:48 --> 00:11:51 - But, anyway so but we've had these, third

00:11:51 --> 00:11:54 - parties that attempted to become a dominant party.

00:11:55 --> 00:11:56 - GOP successful.

00:11:56 --> 00:11:58 - And then we've had what I call spoiler

00:11:59 --> 00:11:59 - parties,

00:12:00 --> 00:12:02 - and we got several of them around right

00:12:02 --> 00:12:03 - now. I mean, like the libertarians,

00:12:03 --> 00:12:05 - the Green Party,

00:12:06 --> 00:12:09 - like the Communist Party USA in the nineteen

00:12:09 --> 00:12:11 - thirties, like the Socialist Party

00:12:12 --> 00:12:14 - at various junctures in our history from, the

00:12:14 --> 00:12:16 - late eighteen hundreds

00:12:17 --> 00:12:17 - until,

00:12:19 --> 00:12:20 - I don't really know where to put an

00:12:20 --> 00:12:22 - endpoint on that, because a lot of them

00:12:22 --> 00:12:24 - went into the greens. But until fairly recent

00:12:24 --> 00:12:24 - history,

00:12:25 --> 00:12:28 - spoiler parties, they get one to 3% of

00:12:28 --> 00:12:28 - the vote,

00:12:29 --> 00:12:32 - but can swing an election for somebody else

00:12:32 --> 00:12:34 - because they're getting one

00:12:34 --> 00:12:36 - to 3%

00:12:36 --> 00:12:37 - of the vote. And, folks, there's just always

00:12:37 --> 00:12:38 - been

00:12:38 --> 00:12:40 - a group out there.

00:12:41 --> 00:12:43 - You can't even put one you hardly can

00:12:43 --> 00:12:45 - put one ideology on it, but there's always

00:12:45 --> 00:12:46 - a group out there willing

00:12:47 --> 00:12:49 - to wander into a third party in any

00:12:49 --> 00:12:50 - election,

00:12:51 --> 00:12:52 - no matter what.

00:12:53 --> 00:12:55 - And so these parties, once they get any

00:12:55 --> 00:12:57 - kind of head of steam and a candidate

00:12:57 --> 00:12:58 - and any kind of publicity

00:12:59 --> 00:13:01 - and with the Internet, not hard to, put

00:13:01 --> 00:13:02 - their message out,

00:13:04 --> 00:13:05 - you will get people that vote for them,

00:13:05 --> 00:13:07 - but, you know, half a percent, 1%,

00:13:08 --> 00:13:10 - but you get one and a half percent

00:13:11 --> 00:13:13 - in a in some of these elections. I

00:13:13 --> 00:13:15 - mean, you've seen how close they've been

00:13:16 --> 00:13:18 - all over the country, very

00:13:19 --> 00:13:20 - tight elections.

00:13:21 --> 00:13:23 - That's when that third party is a big

00:13:23 --> 00:13:24 - effing deal.

00:13:24 --> 00:13:26 - There are nobody until that election night when

00:13:26 --> 00:13:28 - the other people are realizing, wait a minute.

00:13:29 --> 00:13:32 - Our guy may be losing because of

00:13:32 --> 00:13:33 - the

00:13:34 --> 00:13:36 - American Freedom Party or the, you know, the

00:13:36 --> 00:13:36 - constitutional

00:13:37 --> 00:13:37 - party.

00:13:38 --> 00:13:40 - The America we have an independent American party

00:13:40 --> 00:13:42 - in Utah and a constitution party and a

00:13:42 --> 00:13:44 - libertarian party in this state.

00:13:45 --> 00:13:46 - And so

00:13:46 --> 00:13:49 - two types of third party. So going back

00:13:49 --> 00:13:51 - again now through history,

00:13:52 --> 00:13:54 - you know, the, major I won't go through

00:13:54 --> 00:13:55 - every minor

00:13:56 --> 00:13:58 - third party, but the the more major third

00:13:58 --> 00:13:59 - parties, we had the anti masonic

00:14:01 --> 00:14:01 - party

00:14:02 --> 00:14:03 - early nineteen thirties.

00:14:04 --> 00:14:07 - Hoke, hocus pocus going on, a few,

00:14:07 --> 00:14:12 - unsolved murders, including the hero captain William Morgan

00:14:12 --> 00:14:13 - up in New York,

00:14:13 --> 00:14:14 - allegedly

00:14:14 --> 00:14:15 - murdered by Masons

00:14:16 --> 00:14:18 - for giving away their secrets.

00:14:19 --> 00:14:22 - And so suddenly, the anti masonic party becomes

00:14:22 --> 00:14:22 - a big deal.

00:14:23 --> 00:14:25 - And they're they elected a few members to

00:14:25 --> 00:14:25 - Congress,

00:14:27 --> 00:14:29 - a couple of governors, I believe, Pennsylvania and

00:14:29 --> 00:14:32 - Vermont, I wanna say. Anyway, it doesn't matter.

00:14:32 --> 00:14:34 - But, so they

00:14:34 --> 00:14:37 - try to make a splash nationally and actually

00:14:37 --> 00:14:37 - had

00:14:38 --> 00:14:41 - some very limited electoral success, like, way more

00:14:41 --> 00:14:43 - than the libertarian parties ever had as an

00:14:43 --> 00:14:44 - example.

00:14:44 --> 00:14:45 - So that was the,

00:14:47 --> 00:14:49 - anti masonic party. That's why I put them

00:14:49 --> 00:14:51 - in the category of a major third party.

00:14:52 --> 00:14:54 - The second one was the know nothing party,

00:14:55 --> 00:14:57 - which was in the eighteen fifties, a reaction,

00:14:57 --> 00:14:58 - to

00:14:58 --> 00:15:01 - primarily the Irish immigration over here. A lot

00:15:01 --> 00:15:04 - of Catholics pouring into The United States

00:15:04 --> 00:15:05 - and from other

00:15:06 --> 00:15:09 - places as well besides Ireland, and they were

00:15:09 --> 00:15:11 - primarily an anti potpourri,

00:15:11 --> 00:15:12 - anti Catholic

00:15:13 --> 00:15:13 - party.

00:15:14 --> 00:15:17 - And they got their big shot in 1856

00:15:17 --> 00:15:18 - because

00:15:18 --> 00:15:21 - the Republican Party comes in as a third

00:15:21 --> 00:15:21 - party,

00:15:22 --> 00:15:23 - and it's decimating

00:15:24 --> 00:15:25 - the Whigs.

00:15:26 --> 00:15:29 - And so the remnants of the wigs

00:15:29 --> 00:15:32 - combined with the, know nothing party,

00:15:33 --> 00:15:36 - their candidate, a former president, Millard Fillmore.

00:15:38 --> 00:15:39 - And so here they are. They got a

00:15:39 --> 00:15:41 - a former president as their candidate.

00:15:41 --> 00:15:44 - They're combining with with what was one of

00:15:44 --> 00:15:45 - the two major parties

00:15:46 --> 00:15:50 - and, but they didn't get there. Democrats won,

00:15:50 --> 00:15:51 - and Republicans,

00:15:52 --> 00:15:53 - you know, set up a foundation

00:15:54 --> 00:15:57 - for victory in 1860.

00:15:58 --> 00:16:00 - But you you see a strategy there now

00:16:01 --> 00:16:03 - of a third party seeking

00:16:04 --> 00:16:04 - to,

00:16:05 --> 00:16:07 - seeking to glom onto

00:16:09 --> 00:16:11 - an established party.

00:16:11 --> 00:16:14 - In this case, primarily, it was the Republicans.

00:16:14 --> 00:16:15 - They took

00:16:16 --> 00:16:18 - a huge swath of the wigs

00:16:18 --> 00:16:20 - into the Republican Party.

00:16:21 --> 00:16:22 - They took on

00:16:22 --> 00:16:25 - the wig view of of, infrastructure,

00:16:26 --> 00:16:27 - central bank,

00:16:28 --> 00:16:30 - building railroads, the government getting involved with building

00:16:30 --> 00:16:33 - railroads, the government getting involved in all kinds

00:16:33 --> 00:16:33 - of things.

00:16:34 --> 00:16:37 - And they combine that with their big new

00:16:37 --> 00:16:37 - issue,

00:16:38 --> 00:16:41 - which define the Republican Party, which was opposition

00:16:41 --> 00:16:42 - to slavery.

00:16:43 --> 00:16:44 - So

00:16:44 --> 00:16:47 - that was a tactic that was very successful

00:16:48 --> 00:16:50 - because it took a party from nowhere, so

00:16:50 --> 00:16:51 - to speak.

00:16:51 --> 00:16:54 - And very quickly, they became one of the

00:16:54 --> 00:16:56 - two dominant parties displacing,

00:16:56 --> 00:16:57 - as I said,

00:16:58 --> 00:17:01 - the wigs. And that's something that tactic, we

00:17:01 --> 00:17:01 - need to

00:17:02 --> 00:17:04 - put a put our finger in the book,

00:17:04 --> 00:17:06 - so it's fish for those of you that

00:17:06 --> 00:17:08 - even open a book, and hang on to

00:17:08 --> 00:17:09 - that. Maybe put a mark in there, and

00:17:09 --> 00:17:11 - I and we'll continue, but

00:17:12 --> 00:17:12 - interesting

00:17:12 --> 00:17:13 - strategy

00:17:14 --> 00:17:16 - and the only successful one.

00:17:17 --> 00:17:19 - So I continue. So then, late in that,

00:17:19 --> 00:17:20 - we had the farmers rebellion

00:17:21 --> 00:17:23 - and kind of the precursors of the progressive

00:17:24 --> 00:17:26 - movement in the cities, but it's primarily

00:17:26 --> 00:17:27 - a rural movement,

00:17:28 --> 00:17:30 - The populist party

00:17:30 --> 00:17:32 - but then the populist party is supplanted.

00:17:34 --> 00:17:35 - They're supplanted

00:17:35 --> 00:17:38 - by somebody running in the Democrats.

00:17:39 --> 00:17:41 - And so their party loses steam. They elected

00:17:41 --> 00:17:44 - some governors. They elected some people, different places.

00:17:44 --> 00:17:46 - Governor Washington state was a populist

00:17:47 --> 00:17:50 - in the early, eighteen nineties. But William Jennings

00:17:50 --> 00:17:51 - Bryan

00:17:52 --> 00:17:53 - came on the scene as a Democrat

00:17:54 --> 00:17:56 - running on basically their same platform.

00:17:57 --> 00:17:58 - In this case, silver,

00:17:59 --> 00:18:02 - monetization of silver, and and some of the

00:18:02 --> 00:18:03 - farm issues,

00:18:03 --> 00:18:04 - also.

00:18:05 --> 00:18:07 - And so they were supplanted and kind of

00:18:07 --> 00:18:10 - swallowed back into the Democrats

00:18:11 --> 00:18:13 - through William Jennings Bryan.

00:18:14 --> 00:18:15 - So that's what happened to them.

00:18:16 --> 00:18:19 - You had the progressive party in 1912,

00:18:20 --> 00:18:23 - but that was, folks, that was a, big

00:18:23 --> 00:18:24 - business corporate op

00:18:25 --> 00:18:28 - to run former president Teddy Roosevelt

00:18:28 --> 00:18:30 - to divide the field

00:18:31 --> 00:18:33 - so Woodrow Wilson could become president

00:18:33 --> 00:18:34 - and supplant,

00:18:35 --> 00:18:37 - Howard Taft, who was the president, who was

00:18:37 --> 00:18:37 - a Republican.

00:18:38 --> 00:18:40 - I talk all about this in my,

00:18:40 --> 00:18:43 - episode on the election of nineteen twelve.

00:18:44 --> 00:18:46 - And so that party was formed, had a

00:18:46 --> 00:18:48 - lot of money, a lot of Morgan people

00:18:48 --> 00:18:49 - raising money. JPMorgan

00:18:50 --> 00:18:53 - raising money for this radical populist party claim

00:18:53 --> 00:18:54 - be against all these

00:18:54 --> 00:18:58 - big business types and fat cats. Totally phony.

00:18:58 --> 00:19:01 - The big, their big fundraiser, a man named

00:19:01 --> 00:19:03 - George Perkins who built most of the trust

00:19:03 --> 00:19:05 - that JP Morgan ran.

00:19:06 --> 00:19:08 - That's yet another story.

00:19:09 --> 00:19:11 - Anyway, And then they they ran a candidate

00:19:11 --> 00:19:13 - one more time, 1924,

00:19:13 --> 00:19:14 - Robert LaFollette,

00:19:15 --> 00:19:16 - but didn't really get anywhere.

00:19:17 --> 00:19:19 - So then, Harry Truman,

00:19:20 --> 00:19:22 - unpopular on both the left and right flank

00:19:22 --> 00:19:24 - of the Democrat party all the way now

00:19:24 --> 00:19:26 - to 1948.

00:19:27 --> 00:19:29 - He has a new progressive party

00:19:29 --> 00:19:32 - running to his left, which their their deal

00:19:32 --> 00:19:32 - essentially

00:19:33 --> 00:19:33 - was,

00:19:34 --> 00:19:36 - we wanna still have a close relationship with

00:19:36 --> 00:19:37 - Russia.

00:19:37 --> 00:19:39 - This is when the rest of the country

00:19:39 --> 00:19:41 - is in anti communist fever,

00:19:42 --> 00:19:44 - and the left wing Democrats were forced, in

00:19:44 --> 00:19:47 - their new organization, the ADA,

00:19:48 --> 00:19:50 - the Americans for Democratic Action. They were forced

00:19:50 --> 00:19:53 - to start this whole thing of containment.

00:19:53 --> 00:19:55 - We're not for the communist, but we don't

00:19:55 --> 00:19:57 - really wanna fight them too much. We just

00:19:57 --> 00:20:00 - wanna contain them. Anyway, you hear me mention

00:20:00 --> 00:20:02 - that in many episodes, and,

00:20:03 --> 00:20:04 - that was a breakout between,

00:20:05 --> 00:20:08 - the ADA people and the Liberals still running

00:20:08 --> 00:20:11 - the Democrat Party and this new progressive party,

00:20:11 --> 00:20:12 - which only lasted one cycle.

00:20:13 --> 00:20:13 - They're

00:20:14 --> 00:20:15 - being pro communist,

00:20:16 --> 00:20:18 - not a great stance in 1948.

00:20:18 --> 00:20:20 - At the same time, on the right

00:20:20 --> 00:20:23 - was a, South Carolina senator by name of

00:20:23 --> 00:20:25 - Strom Thurmond and many, many

00:20:26 --> 00:20:27 - conservative Democrats

00:20:28 --> 00:20:29 - behind him,

00:20:29 --> 00:20:32 - and they ran him as a Dixiecrat. This

00:20:32 --> 00:20:33 - is the beginning of the end

00:20:34 --> 00:20:36 - of the Democrat party in the South and

00:20:36 --> 00:20:38 - the beginning of the end of conservative Democrats

00:20:38 --> 00:20:39 - because they all become

00:20:40 --> 00:20:42 - Republicans, including Strom Thurmond,

00:20:43 --> 00:20:44 - who by,

00:20:45 --> 00:20:48 - the nineteen eighties is a firm Republican. But

00:20:48 --> 00:20:50 - he ran, and he got some electoral votes

00:20:50 --> 00:20:51 - in the South, but still not

00:20:52 --> 00:20:54 - a major factor in that election.

00:20:55 --> 00:20:56 - So then we have and then we go

00:20:56 --> 00:20:58 - to 1968,

00:20:58 --> 00:21:00 - and we have George Wallace

00:21:00 --> 00:21:02 - running with, with that kind of that same

00:21:02 --> 00:21:04 - base down in the South, but he's already

00:21:04 --> 00:21:06 - expanding this base,

00:21:07 --> 00:21:09 - freaking out our corporate masters.

00:21:09 --> 00:21:12 - He is getting support in the auto worker

00:21:12 --> 00:21:13 - industry,

00:21:13 --> 00:21:14 - in Michigan,

00:21:14 --> 00:21:15 - in Maryland,

00:21:15 --> 00:21:18 - in that Upper Midwest, kind of a precursor

00:21:18 --> 00:21:20 - to some of the Trump strength up there,

00:21:20 --> 00:21:23 - and not just running on a racial platform,

00:21:23 --> 00:21:24 - but very much

00:21:24 --> 00:21:27 - in America first type of platform.

00:21:27 --> 00:21:29 - Didn't have all the issues that we discussed

00:21:29 --> 00:21:30 - now.

00:21:30 --> 00:21:32 - But he got 45 electoral votes. They were

00:21:32 --> 00:21:33 - all in the South,

00:21:34 --> 00:21:35 - but he forced Nixon.

00:21:36 --> 00:21:38 - Another thing a third party is, Nixon had

00:21:38 --> 00:21:40 - to come up with a southern strategy and

00:21:40 --> 00:21:41 - mitigate

00:21:42 --> 00:21:42 - mitigate

00:21:43 --> 00:21:44 - Wallace's vote

00:21:44 --> 00:21:48 - by becoming very strong on law and order

00:21:48 --> 00:21:50 - and many other conservative issues.

00:21:51 --> 00:21:53 - Not that Nixon was that conservative once he

00:21:53 --> 00:21:54 - got elected,

00:21:55 --> 00:21:58 - but, Wallace pulled Nixon to the right.

00:21:58 --> 00:22:00 - And Nixon barely won that election

00:22:01 --> 00:22:02 - in 1968.

00:22:02 --> 00:22:04 - And as I said, Wallace got

00:22:04 --> 00:22:05 - 45

00:22:05 --> 00:22:07 - electoral votes. So 1980,

00:22:07 --> 00:22:10 - John Anderson ran. He got, I think, 10%,

00:22:10 --> 00:22:12 - not really a third party, just a Republican,

00:22:13 --> 00:22:16 - liberal Republican protest against Ronald Reagan.

00:22:18 --> 00:22:20 - The big one, folks, the big one on

00:22:20 --> 00:22:22 - the list now we're getting into a more

00:22:22 --> 00:22:24 - recent times and to issue similar the ones

00:22:24 --> 00:22:26 - that we're talking today.

00:22:26 --> 00:22:29 - Ross Perot in 1992.

00:22:29 --> 00:22:32 - At one point in a campaign in '92

00:22:32 --> 00:22:33 - had 50%

00:22:33 --> 00:22:34 - support

00:22:34 --> 00:22:36 - where and the other 50%

00:22:36 --> 00:22:37 - was shared

00:22:38 --> 00:22:39 - by president

00:22:40 --> 00:22:40 - George,

00:22:40 --> 00:22:42 - walk Herbert Walker Bush senior

00:22:43 --> 00:22:45 - and Bill Clinton,

00:22:46 --> 00:22:47 - but he imploded,

00:22:47 --> 00:22:49 - couldn't take the pressure. I don't really know

00:22:49 --> 00:22:52 - what even happened to him. He dropped out

00:22:52 --> 00:22:54 - of the race. He came back in.

00:22:54 --> 00:22:56 - He still got a pretty large percent of

00:22:56 --> 00:22:58 - the vote, but hardly that much,

00:22:58 --> 00:22:59 - and

00:22:59 --> 00:23:02 - didn't really have a party. Infrastructure didn't have

00:23:02 --> 00:23:02 - a party.

00:23:03 --> 00:23:05 - It was just Ross Perot, independent

00:23:05 --> 00:23:07 - campaign, but like a third party. And then

00:23:07 --> 00:23:09 - ran again in '96

00:23:09 --> 00:23:10 - reform party,

00:23:11 --> 00:23:14 - and then firmed up on the anti trade,

00:23:15 --> 00:23:16 - anti free trade,

00:23:16 --> 00:23:19 - which was his, major issue. In the earlier

00:23:19 --> 00:23:21 - campaign, it was the debt

00:23:22 --> 00:23:24 - and the deficit and increasing debt of The

00:23:24 --> 00:23:26 - United States. His second campaign

00:23:27 --> 00:23:28 - mostly about trade.

00:23:29 --> 00:23:31 - And, but he got lesser,

00:23:31 --> 00:23:33 - a number of votes, but enough votes

00:23:33 --> 00:23:36 - at one more cycle of the reform party

00:23:36 --> 00:23:36 - two thousand,

00:23:38 --> 00:23:40 - Pat Buchanan beat a fellow by the name

00:23:40 --> 00:23:41 - of Donald Trump

00:23:42 --> 00:23:45 - and, was able to spend millions of dollars

00:23:45 --> 00:23:48 - of matching funds because of the success Perot

00:23:48 --> 00:23:49 - had in '96.

00:23:50 --> 00:23:52 - However, Buchanan did not get

00:23:52 --> 00:23:53 - a lot of votes.

00:23:55 --> 00:23:57 - And then that's pretty much it.

00:23:58 --> 00:23:59 - A major,

00:24:00 --> 00:24:02 - third parties until we get

00:24:02 --> 00:24:04 - to what might be coming next

00:24:05 --> 00:24:07 - in our story with Tucker Carlson,

00:24:09 --> 00:24:09 - MTG,

00:24:10 --> 00:24:11 - Thomas Massey,

00:24:12 --> 00:24:14 - Joe Kent, and probably some other rebels out

00:24:14 --> 00:24:15 - there.

00:24:15 --> 00:24:17 - And so we will get back to the

00:24:17 --> 00:24:17 - story,

00:24:18 --> 00:24:20 - the third party fever, what's happening today,

00:24:22 --> 00:24:23 - right after the news. You are listening to

00:24:23 --> 00:24:24 - Hour of Decision

00:24:25 --> 00:24:28 - on Liberty News Radio. Welcome back to Hour

00:24:28 --> 00:24:30 - of Decision. My name is Lou Moore. We're

00:24:30 --> 00:24:32 - talking about third party fever, folks. Are you

00:24:32 --> 00:24:35 - feeling it? Are you feeling it there for

00:24:35 --> 00:24:35 - old Tucker?

00:24:36 --> 00:24:37 - Maybe for MTG?

00:24:38 --> 00:24:39 - How about Thomas Massie?

00:24:39 --> 00:24:42 - He was very impressive on the campaign trail

00:24:42 --> 00:24:45 - even though the Israel money overwhelmed him,

00:24:45 --> 00:24:47 - and the Donald Trump

00:24:47 --> 00:24:49 - persona and the cult of Trump

00:24:50 --> 00:24:51 - overwhelmed him with the boomers.

00:24:52 --> 00:24:54 - And, he lost by 10 points, lost his

00:24:54 --> 00:24:56 - congressional seat, but, really,

00:24:57 --> 00:24:58 - acquitted himself.

00:24:58 --> 00:25:01 - I think, I think he did a fantastic

00:25:01 --> 00:25:01 - job.

00:25:02 --> 00:25:04 - I think he's a great communicator, and

00:25:04 --> 00:25:06 - I think he's got a real future. He's

00:25:06 --> 00:25:08 - in he's in on it, maybe. Looks like

00:25:08 --> 00:25:10 - he is. He's sitting around the table

00:25:11 --> 00:25:14 - with those other plotters against the GOP as

00:25:14 --> 00:25:15 - we know it now.

00:25:16 --> 00:25:19 - So, anyway, this prompts the whole conversation about

00:25:19 --> 00:25:20 - third parties.

00:25:21 --> 00:25:22 - I talked about some of the major

00:25:23 --> 00:25:25 - third parties, the larger ones,

00:25:25 --> 00:25:27 - the ones that had some impact on a

00:25:27 --> 00:25:28 - national level,

00:25:30 --> 00:25:30 - either

00:25:31 --> 00:25:33 - giving the election to another candidate like the

00:25:33 --> 00:25:35 - case of t Teddy Roosevelt

00:25:35 --> 00:25:36 - ensuring

00:25:36 --> 00:25:39 - Woodrow Wilson's election, or in the case of

00:25:39 --> 00:25:39 - the Republicans,

00:25:40 --> 00:25:42 - be knocking over

00:25:42 --> 00:25:43 - a dominant,

00:25:44 --> 00:25:47 - one of the two major parties and becoming

00:25:47 --> 00:25:49 - themselves one of the two major parties going

00:25:49 --> 00:25:50 - from third party status

00:25:51 --> 00:25:53 - to major party status,

00:25:53 --> 00:25:54 - the GOP.

00:25:55 --> 00:25:57 - So anyhow but then there's these spoiler parties,

00:25:58 --> 00:26:00 - you know, and they're still out there, the

00:26:00 --> 00:26:02 - libertarians. The libertarians, I give them a lot

00:26:02 --> 00:26:03 - of credit.

00:26:03 --> 00:26:06 - They have maintained ballot access, and as far

00:26:06 --> 00:26:08 - as I know, they still have it in

00:26:08 --> 00:26:09 - all 50 states.

00:26:09 --> 00:26:11 - And I'm gonna tell you right now, folks,

00:26:11 --> 00:26:13 - having, worked in the vineyard there a little

00:26:13 --> 00:26:15 - bit on valid access,

00:26:16 --> 00:26:18 - it's not easy

00:26:18 --> 00:26:19 - to do that.

00:26:19 --> 00:26:20 - It's hard,

00:26:21 --> 00:26:22 - but they have a core of people around

00:26:22 --> 00:26:23 - the country

00:26:24 --> 00:26:26 - to keep this thing going.

00:26:26 --> 00:26:27 - But,

00:26:27 --> 00:26:30 - you know, they've really never they've never broke

00:26:30 --> 00:26:31 - it out of spoiler

00:26:32 --> 00:26:32 - status.

00:26:33 --> 00:26:35 - That's about the best they can do. Of

00:26:35 --> 00:26:36 - course, I will also add

00:26:37 --> 00:26:39 - that many people on TV will say, oh,

00:26:39 --> 00:26:40 - Libertarian's

00:26:40 --> 00:26:42 - running. He's splitting the Republican vote.

00:26:43 --> 00:26:45 - That's not always true, folks.

00:26:45 --> 00:26:47 - That's sloppy thinking.

00:26:48 --> 00:26:50 - It really depends on the dynamic of the

00:26:50 --> 00:26:52 - area you're talking about and

00:26:52 --> 00:26:54 - the candidate you're talking about because,

00:26:55 --> 00:26:57 - they've had a intercede war

00:26:58 --> 00:27:00 - within the Libertarian Party for years

00:27:01 --> 00:27:03 - between the ones that want to concentrate more

00:27:03 --> 00:27:04 - on economic

00:27:04 --> 00:27:05 - liberty.

00:27:06 --> 00:27:09 - People are associated with the von Mises Institute

00:27:09 --> 00:27:12 - and groups like that. They're kind of paleo

00:27:12 --> 00:27:15 - libertarian that maybe even are against immigration

00:27:16 --> 00:27:18 - and a little bit more America first,

00:27:19 --> 00:27:21 - versus the the types that kinda are the,

00:27:22 --> 00:27:24 - refugees of the nineteen sixties that just wanna

00:27:24 --> 00:27:26 - take a lot of drugs and have free

00:27:26 --> 00:27:27 - love and stuff like that.

00:27:28 --> 00:27:29 - There's a lot of those people in the

00:27:29 --> 00:27:31 - Libertarian Party, believe it or not.

00:27:32 --> 00:27:33 - And,

00:27:33 --> 00:27:36 - anyway, so sloppy thinking sometimes about the libertarians,

00:27:36 --> 00:27:37 - but they can

00:27:38 --> 00:27:40 - play the role of a spoiler except

00:27:40 --> 00:27:41 - a

00:27:41 --> 00:27:43 - a party can set out to do that.

00:27:44 --> 00:27:47 - And then they can actually really move events

00:27:48 --> 00:27:51 - and really have an impact

00:27:51 --> 00:27:54 - beyond just having a little tiny platform for

00:27:54 --> 00:27:56 - their particular message to get out.

00:27:57 --> 00:27:57 - And,

00:27:59 --> 00:28:00 - the party that was most successful

00:28:01 --> 00:28:04 - of these third parties at doing this without

00:28:04 --> 00:28:05 - any doubt

00:28:05 --> 00:28:08 - was the Communist Party USA back in the

00:28:08 --> 00:28:09 - '19,

00:28:10 --> 00:28:11 - thirties and forties

00:28:12 --> 00:28:15 - when they had larger numbers. Today, they wouldn't

00:28:15 --> 00:28:16 - have that ability,

00:28:17 --> 00:28:19 - and they're not playing that game anyhow. We'll

00:28:19 --> 00:28:21 - talk about that in a minute. But,

00:28:22 --> 00:28:24 - but back in the nineteen thirties and forties,

00:28:24 --> 00:28:25 - they concentrated

00:28:26 --> 00:28:27 - they didn't have a lot of members of

00:28:27 --> 00:28:29 - their party, but they had quite a few

00:28:29 --> 00:28:31 - members, and they had a popular

00:28:32 --> 00:28:33 - front movement,

00:28:34 --> 00:28:36 - which I've talked about in several episodes, particularly

00:28:36 --> 00:28:39 - when I talk about my hero, Joe McCarthy.

00:28:39 --> 00:28:40 - So the communist

00:28:40 --> 00:28:42 - parties had a front,

00:28:43 --> 00:28:46 - thing set up to where they they leveraged

00:28:46 --> 00:28:48 - a lot of individuals and organized a lot

00:28:48 --> 00:28:50 - of individuals that weren't communist

00:28:51 --> 00:28:53 - into some of their various activities, and they

00:28:53 --> 00:28:55 - could also use this in their electoral

00:28:55 --> 00:28:56 - activities.

00:28:57 --> 00:28:58 - They were concentrated

00:28:58 --> 00:29:00 - in places like New York City,

00:29:01 --> 00:29:01 - Chicago,

00:29:02 --> 00:29:02 - Philadelphia.

00:29:03 --> 00:29:06 - They were concentrated in the Jewish community and

00:29:06 --> 00:29:08 - to a degree in the Irish

00:29:08 --> 00:29:09 - community,

00:29:10 --> 00:29:12 - primarily in these cities. They also had some

00:29:12 --> 00:29:14 - strength in the, rural strength

00:29:14 --> 00:29:17 - in the Midwest in in a few areas

00:29:17 --> 00:29:18 - with Scandinavian

00:29:18 --> 00:29:19 - folks, believe it or not,

00:29:20 --> 00:29:21 - but they weren't concentrated

00:29:21 --> 00:29:22 - there.

00:29:22 --> 00:29:24 - But they were in the cities, and they

00:29:25 --> 00:29:26 - put the screws

00:29:26 --> 00:29:29 - to Franklin Delano Roosevelt. I'm telling you. He

00:29:29 --> 00:29:30 - ended up in a coalition

00:29:31 --> 00:29:33 - for a period of time with the communist,

00:29:33 --> 00:29:35 - but particularly the worry they had that they

00:29:35 --> 00:29:38 - might lose New York state. They really never

00:29:38 --> 00:29:40 - had a big thing to worry about there.

00:29:40 --> 00:29:41 - Maybe in 1932.

00:29:41 --> 00:29:43 - I don't think so, the first election.

00:29:44 --> 00:29:46 - But that had everything to do

00:29:46 --> 00:29:47 - with,

00:29:47 --> 00:29:50 - Roosevelt's early love of the communist and of,

00:29:51 --> 00:29:53 - being one of the first nations to recognize

00:29:53 --> 00:29:55 - the outlaw USSR

00:29:56 --> 00:29:57 - just as soon as he got into office

00:29:57 --> 00:29:59 - in 1933.

00:30:00 --> 00:30:02 - So I would argue the communist party was

00:30:02 --> 00:30:06 - extremely successful even in electoral business, but just

00:30:06 --> 00:30:06 - leveraging

00:30:07 --> 00:30:09 - their votes in areas where they had

00:30:10 --> 00:30:11 - some strength.

00:30:12 --> 00:30:13 - So,

00:30:13 --> 00:30:16 - that's that's where the spoiler party can be

00:30:16 --> 00:30:18 - effective. But the problem is is when the

00:30:18 --> 00:30:20 - people go out in the third party world,

00:30:20 --> 00:30:21 - particularly on the right,

00:30:22 --> 00:30:24 - where they don't understand power,

00:30:25 --> 00:30:25 - they understand

00:30:26 --> 00:30:27 - ideas and ideals,

00:30:28 --> 00:30:29 - and they understand

00:30:30 --> 00:30:32 - how their personal purity must be at all

00:30:32 --> 00:30:34 - moments in the political process,

00:30:35 --> 00:30:37 - something I violently disagree

00:30:37 --> 00:30:38 - with. But,

00:30:40 --> 00:30:42 - they don't do they don't play this way

00:30:42 --> 00:30:45 - most of the time. Very rarely. I mean,

00:30:45 --> 00:30:47 - in other words, a a constitution party in

00:30:47 --> 00:30:48 - a state

00:30:49 --> 00:30:51 - could gang up on a rhino

00:30:53 --> 00:30:55 - in in, a certain district

00:30:55 --> 00:30:57 - and then not run

00:30:58 --> 00:30:59 - not run-in other areas

00:31:00 --> 00:31:03 - where there is a more conservative Republican candidate,

00:31:03 --> 00:31:04 - and they could maybe

00:31:05 --> 00:31:07 - get something for doing this

00:31:07 --> 00:31:09 - from the Republican Party. Sorry, folks. This is

00:31:09 --> 00:31:11 - politics. We're not talking now

00:31:11 --> 00:31:12 - about tiddlywinks

00:31:13 --> 00:31:13 - and,

00:31:14 --> 00:31:15 - we're talking about full blast

00:31:16 --> 00:31:17 - electoral politics

00:31:18 --> 00:31:18 - power,

00:31:19 --> 00:31:19 - taking

00:31:20 --> 00:31:20 - power.

00:31:21 --> 00:31:24 - The only reason to be in politics, folks,

00:31:24 --> 00:31:26 - to take power

00:31:26 --> 00:31:28 - and to take as much of it onto

00:31:28 --> 00:31:29 - the movement you're

00:31:30 --> 00:31:30 - fostering

00:31:31 --> 00:31:33 - with the principles, with the values that you

00:31:33 --> 00:31:34 - hold

00:31:35 --> 00:31:37 - to move forward and be in a better

00:31:37 --> 00:31:39 - position in the future.

00:31:40 --> 00:31:42 - So but they don't do this. They generally

00:31:42 --> 00:31:44 - just don't ever do this. On the left,

00:31:44 --> 00:31:46 - they do. But even the green the greens

00:31:46 --> 00:31:47 - are kind of a wild card.

00:31:48 --> 00:31:49 - But what's happened

00:31:50 --> 00:31:51 - on the left

00:31:52 --> 00:31:54 - is they are they are doing what I've

00:31:54 --> 00:31:55 - argued for years

00:31:56 --> 00:31:59 - and including during the time when, I was

00:31:59 --> 00:32:01 - involved with doctor Paul, who was a third

00:32:01 --> 00:32:02 - party candidate,

00:32:02 --> 00:32:04 - and worked like hell to get a few

00:32:04 --> 00:32:05 - 100 votes

00:32:07 --> 00:32:08 - when when he decide to run as as

00:32:08 --> 00:32:09 - a Republican.

00:32:10 --> 00:32:12 - First of all, he was elected to congress.

00:32:13 --> 00:32:14 - Don't tell me he could have possibly been

00:32:14 --> 00:32:15 - elected to congress

00:32:16 --> 00:32:17 - in Texas

00:32:18 --> 00:32:19 - as a libertarian.

00:32:20 --> 00:32:21 - Sorry, folks.

00:32:22 --> 00:32:22 - No way.

00:32:23 --> 00:32:25 - But he didn't trim his sales.

00:32:26 --> 00:32:27 - He he expressed his beliefs,

00:32:28 --> 00:32:31 - but he used the Republican Party to get

00:32:31 --> 00:32:32 - in office, and he used the Republican

00:32:33 --> 00:32:35 - Party to have a huge platform,

00:32:35 --> 00:32:38 - to have huge impact on history and on

00:32:38 --> 00:32:40 - the future of this country when he ran

00:32:40 --> 00:32:42 - for president in 2008,

00:32:43 --> 00:32:45 - where I was involved to a degree, and

00:32:45 --> 00:32:46 - in 2012.

00:32:49 --> 00:32:49 - So

00:32:50 --> 00:32:52 - that's you know, I've made that argument, you

00:32:52 --> 00:32:55 - know, using him as I am right now,

00:32:55 --> 00:32:57 - that that is the better way.

00:32:58 --> 00:32:59 - And the Democrats

00:33:00 --> 00:33:01 - on the left,

00:33:01 --> 00:33:03 - well, they've certainly seen that because people that

00:33:03 --> 00:33:05 - were in all kinds of parties and a

00:33:05 --> 00:33:07 - lot of times, they keep their party organizations

00:33:08 --> 00:33:09 - intact,

00:33:09 --> 00:33:11 - these some of these third parties, but they're

00:33:11 --> 00:33:14 - still coming right into the Democrats through the

00:33:14 --> 00:33:14 - DSA,

00:33:15 --> 00:33:18 - through the Democratic Socialists of America. And guess

00:33:18 --> 00:33:20 - what? We're electing near communist

00:33:21 --> 00:33:22 - all over the country.

00:33:23 --> 00:33:26 - They're Democrats, folks. They're being elected as Democrats.

00:33:26 --> 00:33:28 - If they were running in the peace and

00:33:28 --> 00:33:30 - freedom party, they were running in the green

00:33:30 --> 00:33:33 - party, if they were running in the socialist

00:33:33 --> 00:33:34 - labor party,

00:33:34 --> 00:33:36 - they wouldn't be getting anywhere.

00:33:37 --> 00:33:39 - Open your eyes and see the tactics at

00:33:39 --> 00:33:40 - work and see the stratagem

00:33:41 --> 00:33:42 - that works.

00:33:44 --> 00:33:46 - But we have a problem in the GOP,

00:33:46 --> 00:33:49 - and that problem is the betrayal of Donald

00:33:49 --> 00:33:50 - Trump

00:33:51 --> 00:33:53 - and the fact that he has divided his

00:33:53 --> 00:33:54 - base.

00:33:54 --> 00:33:56 - It's not Tucker Carlson

00:33:57 --> 00:34:00 - and Marjorie Taylor Greene and Thomas Massie and

00:34:00 --> 00:34:00 - Joe Kent

00:34:01 --> 00:34:03 - and some of these other influencers

00:34:04 --> 00:34:06 - who may or may not get involved with

00:34:06 --> 00:34:08 - this third party thing. You know, Kansas Owens,

00:34:08 --> 00:34:08 - Alex Jones.

00:34:09 --> 00:34:10 - They're not dividing

00:34:11 --> 00:34:11 - the party.

00:34:12 --> 00:34:13 - It's Trump

00:34:14 --> 00:34:14 - betraying

00:34:15 --> 00:34:18 - the very words he put in his document,

00:34:18 --> 00:34:21 - his agenda 47,

00:34:21 --> 00:34:23 - when he tried to supplant project twenty twenty

00:34:23 --> 00:34:25 - five. I won't get into all of that

00:34:25 --> 00:34:25 - right now,

00:34:26 --> 00:34:28 - but mass deportations.

00:34:29 --> 00:34:30 - Where the hell are they?

00:34:31 --> 00:34:33 - How about the size of our government? Are

00:34:33 --> 00:34:34 - you aware?

00:34:35 --> 00:34:36 - Are you aware

00:34:38 --> 00:34:42 - that we have a about a $600000000000

00:34:42 --> 00:34:43 - dollar

00:34:44 --> 00:34:48 - federal budget and 4

00:34:48 --> 00:34:49 - of it

00:34:49 --> 00:34:52 - was added since Joe Biden came into the

00:34:52 --> 00:34:53 - White House.

00:34:54 --> 00:34:55 - Are you hearing me?

00:34:57 --> 00:35:00 - 7 of which 4

00:35:00 --> 00:35:01 - was added

00:35:02 --> 00:35:05 - by Biden and some of it retracted for

00:35:05 --> 00:35:06 - a couple years, but then it's added it

00:35:06 --> 00:35:08 - just added right up again.

00:35:09 --> 00:35:10 - The spending

00:35:11 --> 00:35:13 - is not just out of hand. It's just

00:35:13 --> 00:35:15 - not oh, it's not constitutional. It's not out

00:35:15 --> 00:35:18 - of hand. It's going to destroy this country,

00:35:18 --> 00:35:21 - which is exactly what our corporate masters want.

00:35:21 --> 00:35:23 - It is the worst.

00:35:24 --> 00:35:26 - And this is the thing that Ross Perot

00:35:26 --> 00:35:32 - ran on back in 1992.

00:35:33 --> 00:35:36 - There's that. There's the fact that 25.

00:35:37 --> 00:35:38 - However many you know, do I don't know

00:35:38 --> 00:35:40 - if we have a 100

00:35:40 --> 00:35:42 - illegal aliens in this country now, as Greg

00:35:42 --> 00:35:44 - Bovino says we do.

00:35:44 --> 00:35:47 - But we know we got 20 or 25

00:35:47 --> 00:35:47 - more

00:35:49 --> 00:35:50 - just since 2021.

00:35:51 --> 00:35:51 - Where

00:35:52 --> 00:35:53 - they gotta go, folks.

00:35:54 --> 00:35:56 - We're not going to beat America

00:35:57 --> 00:35:59 - at this rate, and everybody is saying.

00:36:00 --> 00:36:02 - Something else to think about if you're gonna

00:36:02 --> 00:36:04 - consider the third party.

00:36:05 --> 00:36:08 - Trump has pretty much sealed off the border.

00:36:08 --> 00:36:09 - He hasn't,

00:36:10 --> 00:36:10 - but

00:36:11 --> 00:36:14 - relatively speaking, he has. I mean, that numbers

00:36:14 --> 00:36:16 - like that are not coming in.

00:36:17 --> 00:36:19 - But if the we go back to the

00:36:19 --> 00:36:21 - systematic open border policy

00:36:22 --> 00:36:22 - and systematic

00:36:23 --> 00:36:23 - of

00:36:25 --> 00:36:27 - George Soros, of all these NGOs, of the

00:36:27 --> 00:36:28 - Democrat party,

00:36:29 --> 00:36:32 - we're gonna have another 25

00:36:32 --> 00:36:34 - before you could say Jack Robinson.

00:36:36 --> 00:36:38 - We're gonna lose this country, folks.

00:36:40 --> 00:36:40 - Very,

00:36:40 --> 00:36:42 - very serious. So we have the debt. We

00:36:42 --> 00:36:45 - have this problem not being addressed

00:36:47 --> 00:36:48 - meaningfully,

00:36:49 --> 00:36:50 - not really,

00:36:51 --> 00:36:52 - not systematically.

00:36:52 --> 00:36:54 - I've already talked about this.

00:36:55 --> 00:36:56 - The deep state,

00:36:57 --> 00:36:59 - we're finding out more and more. They did

00:36:59 --> 00:37:00 - this. They did that. The FBI

00:37:01 --> 00:37:04 - broke all the rules. They lied. Fauci lied.

00:37:04 --> 00:37:07 - Everybody lied. Hillary lied. Everybody

00:37:07 --> 00:37:10 - plotted against them. American citizens have plotted against

00:37:10 --> 00:37:12 - the civil rights of people and put hundreds

00:37:12 --> 00:37:14 - and hundreds of hundreds of people in jail

00:37:14 --> 00:37:16 - and took away their free speech.

00:37:16 --> 00:37:18 - And how many of them are paying for

00:37:18 --> 00:37:19 - it?

00:37:19 --> 00:37:20 - How many, folks?

00:37:22 --> 00:37:23 - How many are paying for it?

00:37:24 --> 00:37:25 - That's number three.

00:37:26 --> 00:37:29 - Total failure on Trump's part. And then number

00:37:29 --> 00:37:30 - four,

00:37:31 --> 00:37:32 - the war.

00:37:32 --> 00:37:33 - And that is the one

00:37:34 --> 00:37:35 - that is the real base

00:37:36 --> 00:37:36 - divider,

00:37:37 --> 00:37:37 - the most

00:37:38 --> 00:37:38 - divisive

00:37:39 --> 00:37:43 - of these four major areas of failure

00:37:44 --> 00:37:45 - of the Trump administration

00:37:45 --> 00:37:48 - and certainly of the GOP as we look

00:37:48 --> 00:37:50 - at the Congress, at the house, and the

00:37:50 --> 00:37:51 - senate.

00:37:53 --> 00:37:53 - And,

00:37:54 --> 00:37:57 - Trump was able to bridge that gap that

00:37:57 --> 00:37:59 - I talked about years ago with Ron Paul,

00:37:59 --> 00:38:01 - how people wouldn't listen to the rest of

00:38:01 --> 00:38:01 - his message

00:38:02 --> 00:38:05 - because he wasn't supporting president Bush on the

00:38:05 --> 00:38:05 - war

00:38:06 --> 00:38:07 - back in 2008.

00:38:08 --> 00:38:10 - It was still a problem in 2012.

00:38:11 --> 00:38:12 - But by 2016,

00:38:12 --> 00:38:13 - Donald Trump

00:38:13 --> 00:38:14 - had a way

00:38:15 --> 00:38:17 - of bridging this to where he could appeal

00:38:17 --> 00:38:19 - to the central base of the GOP

00:38:20 --> 00:38:22 - and still have an America first,

00:38:23 --> 00:38:24 - no war,

00:38:24 --> 00:38:26 - no new wars, no endless wars,

00:38:27 --> 00:38:28 - foreign policy.

00:38:29 --> 00:38:30 - We had that,

00:38:30 --> 00:38:33 - and he destroyed it with this Iran

00:38:34 --> 00:38:35 - mis

00:38:35 --> 00:38:36 - adventure.

00:38:38 --> 00:38:39 - And so

00:38:39 --> 00:38:41 - I get the angst,

00:38:42 --> 00:38:44 - and I don't quite have the answers because

00:38:44 --> 00:38:45 - the congress is worse.

00:38:46 --> 00:38:49 - We are still we still have the old

00:38:49 --> 00:38:50 - corporate

00:38:50 --> 00:38:52 - rhino machinery

00:38:52 --> 00:38:54 - electing members of Congress

00:38:55 --> 00:38:57 - and members of the United States Senate and

00:38:57 --> 00:39:00 - most of our governors that are GOP. All

00:39:00 --> 00:39:01 - of them, just about.

00:39:02 --> 00:39:05 - And so the Trump revolution, if you wanna

00:39:05 --> 00:39:06 - call it that, or MAGA,

00:39:07 --> 00:39:09 - did not penetrate down through. It did penetrate

00:39:09 --> 00:39:11 - up from the bottom, and we have a

00:39:11 --> 00:39:13 - ton of good party officials

00:39:14 --> 00:39:16 - all over the country that are with us,

00:39:17 --> 00:39:18 - that are Republicans.

00:39:19 --> 00:39:20 - And the infrastructures

00:39:20 --> 00:39:23 - already in place doesn't have to be rebuilt

00:39:24 --> 00:39:26 - or built, you know, built from the ground

00:39:26 --> 00:39:28 - up. It's not easy to build a third

00:39:28 --> 00:39:29 - party, folks.

00:39:29 --> 00:39:31 - I'm just gonna tell you right now. Not

00:39:31 --> 00:39:32 - a real one.

00:39:33 --> 00:39:36 - Okay? You can have a protest candidate for

00:39:36 --> 00:39:36 - president,

00:39:38 --> 00:39:41 - and you can try to coop the party

00:39:41 --> 00:39:42 - or bring a party back in,

00:39:43 --> 00:39:43 - you know,

00:39:44 --> 00:39:45 - by electing an independent,

00:39:46 --> 00:39:47 - as president.

00:39:49 --> 00:39:49 - But,

00:39:50 --> 00:39:52 - you know, what, you know, Tucker's got all

00:39:52 --> 00:39:53 - these points and everything.

00:39:54 --> 00:39:56 - He looks like, they look like they're trying

00:39:56 --> 00:39:58 - to set up a more permanent deal.

00:39:58 --> 00:39:59 - So okay.

00:40:00 --> 00:40:01 - Where's the money?

00:40:02 --> 00:40:04 - Where's the financing for this?

00:40:06 --> 00:40:07 - Where are the votes?

00:40:09 --> 00:40:12 - Where are the votes going to come from?

00:40:13 --> 00:40:13 - Because,

00:40:14 --> 00:40:16 - first of all, they're now opposing

00:40:18 --> 00:40:20 - a prior populist leader.

00:40:21 --> 00:40:24 - This isn't a populist rebellion against the establishment.

00:40:24 --> 00:40:27 - Actually, it is. But there's the perception

00:40:28 --> 00:40:30 - that Trump is still a populist,

00:40:31 --> 00:40:33 - And there's still a hell of a lot

00:40:33 --> 00:40:34 - of people believe that

00:40:35 --> 00:40:38 - and are still supportive of him. Now there's

00:40:38 --> 00:40:40 - a growing number of people who are not

00:40:42 --> 00:40:44 - who are seeing the sell out on these

00:40:44 --> 00:40:46 - issues I just mentioned and many others.

00:40:47 --> 00:40:49 - They're seeing Trump's aversion to the Bush model

00:40:50 --> 00:40:51 - in terms of,

00:40:52 --> 00:40:54 - doing things that big business people want

00:40:55 --> 00:40:56 - and then hoping to elect members of congress

00:40:56 --> 00:40:58 - and whatnot with a ton of money, which

00:40:58 --> 00:41:00 - just cements the whole system

00:41:00 --> 00:41:02 - deeper into place.

00:41:02 --> 00:41:04 - It's terrible, and we gotta fix it.

00:41:06 --> 00:41:08 - I just don't know

00:41:09 --> 00:41:10 - if we can fix it

00:41:11 --> 00:41:12 - with a third party.

00:41:14 --> 00:41:16 - Third party's first they're easy to infiltrate.

00:41:17 --> 00:41:19 - And this is the problem. Our enemy, our

00:41:19 --> 00:41:23 - enemy somehow infiltrated MAGA or infiltrated the brain

00:41:23 --> 00:41:25 - of Donald Trump. I don't know. I don't

00:41:25 --> 00:41:26 - even know what it is.

00:41:27 --> 00:41:29 - But throughout history, you know, Morgans,

00:41:30 --> 00:41:31 - the Morgans had a man

00:41:33 --> 00:41:35 - assigned to every fraction on the political,

00:41:37 --> 00:41:38 - game board,

00:41:39 --> 00:41:41 - on the political left to right continuum.

00:41:42 --> 00:41:44 - Read Terrell Quigley. He talks about it in

00:41:44 --> 00:41:46 - tragedy and hope, a book that's right behind

00:41:46 --> 00:41:47 - me.

00:41:48 --> 00:41:50 - A very good book. It's a big book.

00:41:50 --> 00:41:52 - It has a lot of good information in

00:41:52 --> 00:41:53 - it on a lot of things.

00:41:54 --> 00:41:56 - They're easy to infiltrate. They're easy to fracture

00:41:57 --> 00:42:00 - because people are purists. They want a we

00:42:00 --> 00:42:02 - want a pure party. We don't wanna compromise

00:42:02 --> 00:42:05 - anymore in the GOP to help those people.

00:42:05 --> 00:42:07 - Oh, we need our own party. Problem is

00:42:08 --> 00:42:10 - you get going and you gotta set up

00:42:10 --> 00:42:12 - all of these state structures and county structure,

00:42:12 --> 00:42:16 - precinct structures, the national committee, or whatever. If

00:42:16 --> 00:42:18 - you're gonna actually be a party,

00:42:19 --> 00:42:20 - your party governance,

00:42:21 --> 00:42:24 - these people bring that attitude there, and they

00:42:24 --> 00:42:26 - don't compromise. And they fight like hell, and

00:42:26 --> 00:42:27 - these parties fracture

00:42:27 --> 00:42:30 - the fighting in Perot's party. Unbelievable.

00:42:31 --> 00:42:32 - I should bring on,

00:42:33 --> 00:42:35 - James Edwards, who's also a host on Liberty

00:42:35 --> 00:42:36 - News Radio.

00:42:37 --> 00:42:39 - He was, around in,

00:42:40 --> 00:42:40 - 2000.

00:42:41 --> 00:42:42 - He was at the side of the great

00:42:42 --> 00:42:44 - man, Pat Buchanan,

00:42:45 --> 00:42:46 - when he ran against Donald Trump

00:42:47 --> 00:42:49 - and won the reform party nod nod in

00:42:49 --> 00:42:50 - 2000.

00:42:50 --> 00:42:52 - I mean, he'd tell you all about this.

00:42:53 --> 00:42:56 - Anyway, so that's a problem. Financing problem. Ballot

00:42:56 --> 00:42:56 - access.

00:42:57 --> 00:42:58 - Tremendous problem.

00:42:59 --> 00:43:00 - Huge organization

00:43:00 --> 00:43:03 - required. Lot of money required.

00:43:04 --> 00:43:06 - And so then, where are you gonna get

00:43:06 --> 00:43:06 - the votes?

00:43:07 --> 00:43:08 - Are you just gonna take some of the

00:43:08 --> 00:43:10 - GOP? How are you gonna get Democrats

00:43:12 --> 00:43:14 - to vote for you? Ross Perot was getting

00:43:14 --> 00:43:15 - a lot of Democrats

00:43:15 --> 00:43:16 - at that

00:43:16 --> 00:43:18 - time in 1992

00:43:19 --> 00:43:20 - to support him. That's how he got the

00:43:20 --> 00:43:22 - 50% in the polls.

00:43:24 --> 00:43:27 - George Wallace was getting Republicans and Democrats

00:43:28 --> 00:43:29 - for the success he had. Ron Paul was

00:43:29 --> 00:43:31 - getting Republicans and Democrats.

00:43:33 --> 00:43:35 - How are you gonna do that in the,

00:43:36 --> 00:43:37 - the fractious

00:43:37 --> 00:43:39 - world we have today?

00:43:40 --> 00:43:41 - What issues are you gonna use? And are

00:43:41 --> 00:43:42 - you gonna compromise

00:43:43 --> 00:43:43 - on

00:43:44 --> 00:43:47 - immigration? Sounds like it. Listening to Tucker. Tucker's

00:43:47 --> 00:43:49 - proposal on immigration as he expressed it the

00:43:49 --> 00:43:51 - other night sounds a lot

00:43:51 --> 00:43:54 - like the libertarians who just say, take away

00:43:54 --> 00:43:57 - all the economic incentives and they'll all leave.

00:43:58 --> 00:44:00 - I don't believe that for a minute.

00:44:01 --> 00:44:01 - Okay?

00:44:02 --> 00:44:05 - Let's take all the economic incentives away, and

00:44:05 --> 00:44:08 - let's celebrate all the people that decide to

00:44:08 --> 00:44:10 - leave our country that are here illegally

00:44:11 --> 00:44:12 - and go somewhere else.

00:44:13 --> 00:44:15 - But I'm not counting on that.

00:44:16 --> 00:44:18 - I am not counting on that at all.

00:44:19 --> 00:44:20 - So where are you going to get the

00:44:20 --> 00:44:21 - votes?

00:44:21 --> 00:44:23 - Where are you going to be able to

00:44:23 --> 00:44:24 - win a congressional

00:44:24 --> 00:44:25 - district?

00:44:25 --> 00:44:27 - Where are you going to be able to

00:44:27 --> 00:44:29 - get electoral votes in a state?

00:44:31 --> 00:44:33 - Are are you are you thinking that this

00:44:33 --> 00:44:34 - will take two or three presidential

00:44:35 --> 00:44:37 - election cycles to really get off the ground?

00:44:38 --> 00:44:40 - If so, we don't have that much time,

00:44:40 --> 00:44:41 - folks.

00:44:41 --> 00:44:43 - Not even close.

00:44:44 --> 00:44:46 - We've gotta have a movement that can galvanize

00:44:47 --> 00:44:49 - a populous base. It might not be quite

00:44:49 --> 00:44:51 - the same one that Trump galvanized around.

00:44:52 --> 00:44:54 - We might be losing our Chris some of

00:44:54 --> 00:44:55 - our Christian evangelical

00:44:56 --> 00:44:58 - brothers and sisters that wanna stay till Israel

00:44:58 --> 00:45:00 - with Israel till the death.

00:45:01 --> 00:45:03 - But, you know, what is your base gonna

00:45:03 --> 00:45:05 - be? What's your position gonna be on abortion?

00:45:05 --> 00:45:06 - Are you just gonna be pro life all

00:45:06 --> 00:45:09 - the way? That's gonna be a big problem

00:45:09 --> 00:45:10 - to get a lot a lot of Democrats

00:45:11 --> 00:45:13 - across at this point. Same with immigration.

00:45:14 --> 00:45:15 - How about guns?

00:45:15 --> 00:45:17 - You'll be second amendment all the way. What

00:45:17 --> 00:45:18 - are you gonna do about some of these

00:45:18 --> 00:45:20 - other issues? Are you going to compromise on

00:45:20 --> 00:45:22 - some of these other issues that many of

00:45:22 --> 00:45:24 - us consider to be core issues

00:45:25 --> 00:45:26 - to get new voters

00:45:26 --> 00:45:29 - into your party when you're just dividing

00:45:30 --> 00:45:32 - one of the two current parties?

00:45:34 --> 00:45:35 - It's a problem.

00:45:35 --> 00:45:37 - But at the same time, folks

00:45:38 --> 00:45:38 - I mean,

00:45:39 --> 00:45:42 - Tucker's analysis I mean, we've got a foreign

00:45:42 --> 00:45:42 - government

00:45:44 --> 00:45:45 - running our government

00:45:46 --> 00:45:48 - right now, and that's I I keep I've

00:45:48 --> 00:45:49 - been putting it off,

00:45:50 --> 00:45:52 - I think next week. Hopefully next week.

00:45:53 --> 00:45:55 - It will be the Zionist factor to end

00:45:55 --> 00:45:57 - my American tyranny series.

00:45:58 --> 00:46:00 - The Zionist factor because

00:46:00 --> 00:46:02 - it's it is the factor

00:46:03 --> 00:46:04 - right now. You have

00:46:04 --> 00:46:06 - policy analysts that have nothing to do with

00:46:06 --> 00:46:09 - the anti Semitic world and nothing to do

00:46:09 --> 00:46:10 - with the extreme far right,

00:46:10 --> 00:46:13 - saying that we're turning into a bipolar world,

00:46:13 --> 00:46:16 - which is the dominance of Israel

00:46:18 --> 00:46:21 - over our foreign policy and the dominance and

00:46:21 --> 00:46:23 - influence they also have to a degree in

00:46:23 --> 00:46:25 - some of the places in Europe and the

00:46:25 --> 00:46:27 - Chinese. Not us and the Chinese.

00:46:29 --> 00:46:30 - Story for another day.

00:46:31 --> 00:46:33 - But not that hard to explain when we're

00:46:33 --> 00:46:35 - sitting in this war when Trump destroyed his

00:46:35 --> 00:46:36 - political movement

00:46:37 --> 00:46:38 - for these damn people.

00:46:39 --> 00:46:40 - I mean, he did.

00:46:40 --> 00:46:42 - He may not think he was going he

00:46:42 --> 00:46:43 - may not have thought

00:46:44 --> 00:46:45 - that was going to be the outcome,

00:46:46 --> 00:46:49 - but that's the outcome. So I get it.

00:46:50 --> 00:46:53 - I get it. And, you know, the debt,

00:46:53 --> 00:46:56 - we can't we we gotta make fundamental changes

00:46:56 --> 00:46:57 - and soon.

00:46:59 --> 00:47:00 - So I get

00:47:01 --> 00:47:04 - the extremity of the situation that, you know,

00:47:04 --> 00:47:04 - the GOP

00:47:05 --> 00:47:07 - ain't getting it done. They're destroying Maha.

00:47:08 --> 00:47:10 - We're we're gonna have the flu shot now,

00:47:10 --> 00:47:11 - mRNA flu shots,

00:47:12 --> 00:47:13 - approved by the Maha

00:47:15 --> 00:47:16 - Trump administration.

00:47:20 --> 00:47:21 - You know?

00:47:21 --> 00:47:22 - Folks,

00:47:22 --> 00:47:23 - we got big problems.

00:47:24 --> 00:47:26 - We got big problems. We got big betrayal.

00:47:26 --> 00:47:28 - And so there is gonna be a market

00:47:29 --> 00:47:32 - for what, Tucker is brewing here and his

00:47:32 --> 00:47:33 - friends.

00:47:33 --> 00:47:36 - There's no doubt about that. It I'm in

00:47:36 --> 00:47:36 - that market.

00:47:38 --> 00:47:39 - But

00:47:39 --> 00:47:40 - I don't see

00:47:41 --> 00:47:43 - right now, I don't see the path

00:47:45 --> 00:47:46 - in a practical way.

00:47:49 --> 00:47:50 - Remember, take power,

00:47:50 --> 00:47:51 - not make a statement.

00:47:52 --> 00:47:54 - Not say, well, I'm I just wanna make

00:47:54 --> 00:47:56 - a pure statement. No. No. We have to

00:47:56 --> 00:47:57 - take power.

00:47:58 --> 00:48:01 - We have to take power. And secondly,

00:48:01 --> 00:48:04 - we have to have mass

00:48:04 --> 00:48:05 - deportations.

00:48:06 --> 00:48:07 - Not an option.

00:48:07 --> 00:48:10 - So we'll see what happens as time moves

00:48:10 --> 00:48:10 - on.

00:48:11 --> 00:48:14 - You're listening to Hour of Decision on Liberty

00:48:14 --> 00:48:15 - News Radio. My name is Lou Moore, and

00:48:15 --> 00:48:17 - I will talk to you again

00:48:17 --> 00:48:18 - next week.
