3413 – June 26, 2024 – The Power of YOUR Purse – Don Buckner of madeinusa.com joins us today. Entrepreneur Don Buckner’s patriotic plan began in 1996, when he attempted to find several American-made products online, but was unable to do so.

Frustrated, he took matters into his own hands, purchasing MadeintheUSA.com. The website served as a directory resource connecting patriotic consumers to more than 300,000 American-made manufacturers for several years. In 2013, he decided to expand his vision and evolve the business into an e-commerce site dedicated to American-made products and educating American Consumers.

Don says, “I believe in the power of made in USA goods to strengthen our economy and build a better future for our children. That’s why I’m building madeinusa.com—a platform for connecting consumers with made in USA products that are produced by companies committed to making a positive impact on their communities.”

[00:00:00] Hey, where are you going? I gotta get home. America, it's time to come home. It's time to come home! By bringing Common Sense back into the nonsense. Welcome to Common Sense Coalition Talk Radio, where America comes home. Down this dirt road, you're gonna find determination and grit.

[00:00:25] Opinions that matter. And a big ol' helping of good discernment. And now, the woman that wishes the DC occupiers would stop making her use her mom voice. Do not make me come down there. Here's your host and the voice of Common Sense, Beth Ann.

[00:00:43] And I welcome you today to CSC Talk Radio. It is my honor and my privilege and my pleasure to be here with you every single day. And today is no different than any other day. Oh, it's gonna be a little different. We're kind of different guests today.

[00:00:55] Somebody who hasn't been with us for a while, but we're gonna bring him on here in just a little bit. The show is gonna be full of conversation and encouragement. How's that sound? But first let's go to the Lord in prayer.

[00:01:06] Oh, for such a time as this, most gracious Heavenly Father, we come before you with grateful hearts for the many blessings you have bestowed upon each and every one of us and upon this nation. Father, as prodigal children we have squandered those blessings, taken them for granted.

[00:01:26] But oh, how we praise you for your love and your grace and your mercy. And Father, we are humbled that you have provided for us a way of salvation to live eternally with you. Thank you, Father.

[00:01:44] Father, as always I pray for the protection over your children here in this nation and across the globe. I pray, Father, for wisdom, for courage, for boldness, but most of all may we always go forth in love, your love.

[00:02:03] I pray, Father, for your protection over President Donald J. Trump and all of his family and those around him who are enduring such persecution and prosecutions that we thought we would never see such in this country.

[00:02:18] But this country has to aid from you, and we're being led by the evil one. I pray for those who are in prison unjustly. I pray for the hostages. Father, may these know that they are not forgotten.

[00:02:43] May they feel your presence even in this time of great turmoil and stress in their lives. Those who are grieving, Father, may you comfort them. I pray your blessings upon today's show and upon my guest and what he is doing.

[00:03:03] And all those who work for him, Father, is for such a time as this, I believe you have placed me right here. And it is in Jesus' name that I pray. Amen. We have three branches of government.

[00:03:19] The executive branch, which is the president and his cabinet, they're supposed to take care of enforcing the laws and he has to be the commander in chief of our military. I'm going through this rather rapidly. I have a point. Hang on with me.

[00:03:31] The legislative branch comprised of both the House and the Senate. They're the ones who make the laws. But the House we're going to concentrate on for just a few minutes here. The House is the keeper of the purse, meaning your tax dollars.

[00:03:44] They have the responsibility to guard and protect it, not running around like Banshee chickens and digging us deeper into an unsustainable debt. The judicial branch, of course, is to interpret and determine if the laws that they make there in the House and Senate coincide with our Constitution.

[00:04:03] Well, I could have all sorts of comments about today's governing and regarding these three branches. I will restrain my political tongue, if that's at all possible, to concentrate on our responsibilities as citizens.

[00:04:15] When I spoke Sunday at the Advocates for Faith and Freedom, I shared how far back this nation goes with its governing. And how it was done by those in the Black Robe, Christian ministers. But all the way back then, they believed in the consent of the governed.

[00:04:37] It didn't originate in the Declaration of Independence. Jumping back to the House of Representatives as they are in charge of protecting the purse, meaning our tax dollars, I think we can all agree that they do not.

[00:04:50] And we'll not get into the nitty-gritty of all that other than to say they spend it, use it and abuse it, your money. Not necessarily to your benefit or my benefit, but to the government's benefit and unfortunately for themselves.

[00:05:07] It was Ross Perot, if I am correct here, who first warned us of the perils of trade deals that were being made here by our government officials. Deals such as NAFTA, CAFTA and GATT.

[00:05:20] He warned the Americans that we would hear this great sucking sound of our jobs and industries leaving America. Our prosperity was sold to the highest bidder or the cheapest bidder, whichever way you want to look at that. Perot was absolutely correct.

[00:05:37] We saw the worst of it during COVID. Maybe that's just when some people's eyes, the scales fell from their eyes so to speak. Vital medical products were being made abroad, some even from enemies of the United States.

[00:05:51] And I've often challenged you to look at the labels when purchasing anything. One after the other we will see, once in a while we'll see glorious exceptions, but one after the other we see that they're made somewhere else.

[00:06:06] Since the House will not protect your purse or our nation, we will. It's up to us, will you? As our founding fathers and forefathers knew, building this nation and keeping this nation, it's not in the hands of those in D.C.

[00:06:22] It's in the hands of we the people. Remember how the people's purse worked against Bud Light? Plain and simple that boycott was Americans using their power of the purse, their purchasing power.

[00:06:35] Now I don't drink beer, therefore all I did was sit and watch what was going to happen. We can put the same energy forward though in a positive way by purchasing American-made products made in the USA. With that said, our guest today is Don Buckner.

[00:06:51] He has been a long time since we have chatted here, but he is no stranger. We're going to talk about his new project. He's an entrepreneur and a patriot. And he began in 1996 when he attempted to find several American-made products online and was very disappointed.

[00:07:10] Frustrated by that he purchased Made in the USA.com. The website served as a directory. In 2013, he decided to expand his vision and evolve the business into an e-commerce site dedicated to American-made products and American consumers. And helping educate American consumers.

[00:07:32] Don said once, I believe in the power made in USA goods can strengthen our economy and build a better future for our children. And isn't that what it's about? Isn't it about building a better future for our children? With that I'm going to bring Don on.

[00:07:48] And we have a few minutes here before we go into the first commercial break. Don, how have you been? I've been very good. Thank you for having me. I really enjoy your prayer and your conversation there. You're right on point. Well, thank you. You know, we've got to...

[00:08:03] When I spoke with the Advocacies for Faith and Freedom this weekend, I said we have to have a plan with what's going on in this nation. Made in the USA is part of that plan. But all those plans have to start with prayer.

[00:08:17] And I know that you believe that. And Rudy and I start with a devotional every day here in the office. And coffee, you know. Coffee and devotional. It's up to the American people to turn things around. Yeah, the elected officials have some responsibility.

[00:08:34] But we're the ones who elect them. And we're the ones who spend the money. So it's up to us. And so I do appreciate all that you've been doing. Thank you. We've been working hard and I'm excited to share with your audience the progress that we've made. Good.

[00:08:49] And how far we've come. And what the future holds. Well, I'm excited to hear about it. I've looked on your site some and I found it very interesting. And you know, I learned something new today and I'll share that when we come back. I hear the music.

[00:09:04] We're going to be in into a commercial break. Don, I still have. I still have the commitment here that I will only only bring in American made advertisers and those who have made in the USA, I will only do that.

[00:09:19] That puts me at a great disadvantage and I, I'm going to stick to my guns because I believe in America. And I believe that's what we should promoting. We're headed into a break when we come back. We're going to talk about made in the USA.

[00:09:33] We're going to talk about what you can do, what he's been doing and what he has to offer you and maybe what you have to offer him. You're listening to CSE Talk Radio. This is Beth Ann with Don Buckner, Made in the USA. And we'll be right back.

[00:09:45] I am Elmer Heinrich asking you to consider a MUNO 150, the Rolls Royce of nutritional supplements. There's nothing like it. Now we believe it contains everything the body needs to get healthy and stay healthy. Its 150 ingredients include 70 plant derived colloidal minerals, plus 80 carefully chosen nutrients.

[00:10:24] For sure, it's not made out of fruits or vegetables that have very few minerals. Now if you want a supplement that makes a tremendous difference for most people within 60 days, a MUNO 150 may be the answer. Ask your friends about it. They are probably one of our customers.

[00:10:41] Or you can call 888-316-2224 or you can look us up online at immuno150.com. That's 888-316-2224 to order a MUNO 150. Scripture warns us that there will be a day of judgment for our lives. Our works will be exposed by fire,

[00:11:08] which will reveal the foundation of our building. Figuratively speaking, have we been building with wood, hay and stubble, which are perishable? Or have we been using gold, silver and precious stones, which are permanent? In this life there will be a day of judgment for our failing economic system.

[00:11:23] When the economy collapses, will your assets be in paper, which will burn? Or will you have a permanent foundation of gold and silver securing your assets? The dollars are IOUs from the government, but gold and silver are the tangible assets that protect your wealth.

[00:11:39] Owning gold and silver is the permanent solution to a permanent problem in our economy, beyond dollars and debt. Call Melody Cederstrom a discount gold and silver trading 1-800-375-4188. That's 1-800-375-4188. Give your wealth a solid foundation with gold and silver.

[00:11:57] In a word, as a man who said to have a right to his property, he may be equally said to have a property in his rights. What? Who said that? James Madison, I'm learning about our property rights for my upcoming Bring America Home Conference. What is that?

[00:12:17] Saturday, September 14th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. So are you having speakers? Oh my, I'll say Daniel Turner, CEO of Power of the Future and his communications director Larry Barron's, Linda Rance will educate us on election integrity, Mindy Patterson, the CEO of the Calorie Group

[00:12:32] and a few others. Okay, where are you doing this? We'll meet at the beautiful performing arts center in California, Missouri, and lunch is included. Now, what does it cost? Oh, it's just $25 a person. If you pre-register, I'm so excited. Come join CSC Talk Radio Saturday, September 14th.

[00:12:48] Okay, how do I pre-register? Well, you go to csetalkradio.com or better yet, just call 573-7962-166. Bring America Home Conference Saturday, September 14th. Let's see you there. All right. And we have ReChange listening to CSC Talk Radio. This is Beth Ann with Don Buckner.

[00:13:10] Don, I kind of went rapidly through a little bio of you. I want you to tell about how you came to be where you are and came up with Made in the USA. Are you there? Sure, I'll be back soon. Oh, thank you. I'm here. Thank you.

[00:13:28] Go ahead. Can you hear me? I can. Okay, so MadeinUSA.com, I've had the domain for over 25 years and in the meantime, I was building a large manufacturing company and didn't have really the resources to put together time and resources to put this together.

[00:13:46] But about three years ago, we decided, I sold that company and about three years ago, we decided to put together a very large, basically the Amazon of US Made products. Oh, wow. And so nobody was doing anything even close to that. As you know, it's difficult to find

[00:14:04] US Made products, much less purchase them because the large retailers have two things that have happened. One is they bury the search results and the other is they're not offering US Made products. They can make a lot more money on their imported products. I like what you said,

[00:14:19] burying the search because you can't hardly search for anything. They've really got that controlled and it's very discerning. But go ahead. No, that's exactly right. So there's an intentional push to bury US Manufacturers products and consequently the byproduct of that is we lose jobs.

[00:14:42] If those manufacturers can't sell their products, they can't provide jobs and they can't support their communities. Well, we're the other side of that. We help consumers, which by the way, there's 80% of us that prefer to buy an American Made product. There's 17% that are willing to pay a 30% premium.

[00:15:02] And so we cater to those people who are seeking a US Made product and we connect them with US Manufacturers who are trying to get their products to those consumers. And so we're reconnecting, we consider ourselves like a funnel of reconnecting those two entities.

[00:15:20] And if we can send dollars back into those communities in a significant way, those manufacturers typically are one of the paramount businesses in their community and they pay their employees, their employees go to restaurants and all the different shops in the area and revitalizes those communities

[00:15:39] in a way that nothing, no other way to do that. Tourism can't, investments can't, but manufacturing by far is the best way to do that. And that's our mission, that's our role to direct those American dollars into those American communities to create American jobs.

[00:15:57] All right, so it's Made in USA.com, that is the website, correct? That is correct. We also own Made in, which you said earlier, Made in the USA.com. If you go there, it'll take you to the same place and we also own Made at America.com

[00:16:14] and also go to the same place. So hard to miss if you plug in those domains. We're still also raising capital. This project still needs the money behind it to get it pushed out, but we've got 150,000 SKUs currently. It's a pretty good variety of SKUs, not everything yet.

[00:16:31] I hope to be at $500,000 by the end of the year. We're still adding manufacturers. So if any of your listeners are manufacturers, we don't charge them anything to list on the site. We negotiate a wholesale price and we handle everything. They just build it and box it.

[00:16:45] We'll handle the shipping, we'll handle the sales tax, we'll handle the customer service, we'll handle all those things so they can get back to business of just making products and not have to worry about trying to get the market. Okay, with that said, what is the criteria

[00:16:58] to be made in the USA or Made in America? Because I know I went to your website today and I saw that you have some that have the slash through the flag and I'm suspecting because I've studied this a little bit.

[00:17:11] I could be right or could be wrong where it's made here but they have to use some products from abroad. Is that correct? So just like you mentioned, we have identified them products in three different categories and if somebody hovers their mouth over that flag

[00:17:29] it'll tell them which of those categories it is but we have identified each product with one of three categories. Made in USA, now FTC makes these definitions so I'll just tell you what they are. In order to put Made in USA on your product

[00:17:47] it has to be, this is a very vague description but this is what they use, it has to be all or virtually all your components have to be made in this country. That's the Made in USA. That's the full flag like you're talking about.

[00:18:00] Then there's the Half Flag which is half grade out like you said which is Made in USA with domestic and global materials and so what typically happens or has happened there are certain items that are no longer made in this country so they consequently are forced to,

[00:18:17] if they're going to build a product they have to make part of their product with imported products. And then the last flag is an all grade out flag and this is assembled in the USA and I know that sounds like we're cheating

[00:18:30] but thankfully the FTC has a threshold that they have to meet which has to pass what they call the screwdriver test and they have to add some value. They have to paint it, they have to package it, they have to do something on this side

[00:18:45] besides just screw two parts together and sell it so there is a value. The objective there is to create a relationship with those assembly people and encourage them to add more domestic componentry into their product so that again create more jobs. It's not the best scenario

[00:19:03] but at least they're adding some value and some jobs are being created on this side. They're still employing Americans. Correct. In other words right here maybe a little factory down the road where they're putting the, I'm going to just use this as an example

[00:19:17] coffee makers together or something like that. So somebody is actually employed physically doing that here in the United States so I get that, I get that. And so I saw those on there and I was kind of curious as to what all of those meant

[00:19:34] and you're growing it. So you need people to send you some and I've got some that you maybe already know about but if we can talk after the show I've got some other companies that I've been thinking well I'll just say it on the air,

[00:19:49] I'll just say it right here. Dr. Teals, I am a believer in Dr. Teals I use it every single night. It's bath products for bath salts and bubbles. They're healthy and they're made in the USA it says it on the back.

[00:20:05] So I think they are an absolute wonderful product and they are made in the USA if you guys can contact them maybe you've already tried I never can find a phone number to get a hold of them I wanted them to advertise here

[00:20:17] because I definitely can be a spokesperson for them. I've spent a lot of money with them. But Dr. Teals bath salts are excellent, excellent. And those are the things you need and you have people on there and you say you're not charging them for it

[00:20:35] so they are one that I know is a huge and I've been using them for years and they are still made in the USA. Yeah, at the top of the page we have a couple little tabs and if somebody is a manufacturer they can click on that tab

[00:20:53] and fill out that form and it says list our products on Made in USA and just fill that out and we'll get back to them we'll onboard their products we'll go through a bit of due diligence just to confirm that they are made in USA Absolutely, absolutely

[00:21:06] They say they are because there is some deception there are people that don't tell the truth in this world believe it or not and so we have to make sure that we are who we say we are and they are who they say they are actually.

[00:21:20] And you know Don I dealt with that here I had somebody contact me and they wanted me to push their Made in America website I looked at it very few other items were made in the USA very few not even a half a flag

[00:21:36] and so I was really disturbed and I said no I'm not going to I'm not going to promote your website so you know it's discerning I don't know if they meant to be deceiving they actually contacted me through someone else who knew what I was doing

[00:21:50] only American Made products here and but you have to be careful unfortunately there is a bit of Tom Fulery going on and here's one way but these are the big ones that are doing this I won't mention their names but what they'll say is

[00:22:08] that all our companies are American veteran owned companies they'll say that but they don't care where the product is made okay maybe it's a veteran that's importing products that's one another one says oh you buy from American companies again same thing

[00:22:27] they don't care where the product is made you're buying from an American company that means nothing money does not wind up back in this country and so we have yet to find anybody who's legitimately offering only American Made products no correct me if I'm wrong

[00:22:43] because this is just something I have been told and I'm skeptical so I'm just going to ask you but when it's those companies that if they are an American company but their products are made overseas they still have to pay taxes here correct they do pay taxes

[00:22:58] okay but they don't have employees Tom Fulery going on so it's deceitful even though they pay taxes it's deceitful alright we're headed into another break you're listening to CSE Talk Radio this is Beth Ann I hope you're excited about this because this makes it easy for you

[00:23:15] you don't have to turn everything upside down and you know what if you go to this website like I did this morning you're going to find some new products that maybe you didn't know existed and some of them come pretty highly recommended and you can just track it

[00:28:12] or made in the usa.com it'll take you there it might be a little easier to save and though it's an extra word I have two things I want to mention here don and then we'll get back to this but I want to make a point

[00:28:24] I used to, I wasn't necessarily watched it all the time but I watched Shark Tank and I quit watching Shark Tank one night because I got mad at him that tells you what kind of temperament I've got sometimes but there was a young man on there

[00:28:40] and I cannot remember what his product was except it went into the back of the pickups it was something for the pickup trucks and they loved his product absolutely loved his product he wanted the money to start the industry in his own community to prop up his community

[00:28:57] with jobs and revenues and such and they told him no it had to be made in China and I quit watching them I'm done with them they're not supporting America they're rich guys and all this and that but why can't we why can't we prosper here

[00:29:18] why can't we do that and then while we were talking a gentleman who watches the show on Facebook and listens to me when he can on the radio is in Sparta, Missouri if you have anybody if you know of anybody that wants to start an industry down there

[00:29:36] he has property there in the industrial park area of this small little town in Missouri it's a beautiful area by the way that he's willing to sell for a dollar square foot just to get industries in there so you might pass that along

[00:29:52] if you know anybody who is looking for a good place to go that might be the place check it out go to Sparta, Missouri and see what you think but anyway that's just a little something to throw out there we've got people out here that really do want

[00:30:07] made in America they really want for us to prosper and what you said about children this is our children's future we're investing in not ours I mean I'm I'm no spring chicken anymore it's not ours I've got done since we talked last I have 17 grandchildren now

[00:30:26] and five great-grandchildren and I'm concerned about their futures what jobs will they have I've got a grandson who's married has child of his own and he's working in an industry I should send you them in Kansas and it's made in the USA

[00:30:43] and I can't think what is called those louvered windows that come down for security and they're made here in the USA and they said they can't get young people involved so they're pretty excited that my grandson is working there he's also a music minister in a church nearby

[00:31:02] so he's got two jobs but people really want made in the USA but our government seems to be fighting us on this so I'm going to turn that over to you how we can get involved how we can help this so it's a pretty sad state of affairs

[00:31:20] I've watched over the last 20 years our politicians basically work against us it seems like they've sold out something's wrong whether it's payola I can't say but they're certainly improving the position of other countries to be able to import their products basically at a tariff-free level

[00:31:44] there's something called the minimus and if you look it up basically what it is anything under $800 comes into this country without a tariff on it whatsoever so they call that the Amazon rule and it's highly guarded because the politicians want to be re-elected

[00:32:00] and if they stand against it of course Amazon's going to have them replaced basically and have politicians in there that support that the minimus rule on top of that the US post office and this has happened for 50 years and they can't seem to break it

[00:32:18] the US post office actually subsidizes shipments from China and other countries to the point it's actually cheaper than you mailing something across the town they can import or mail a product or ship a product to you from China directly from China cheaper than you can send

[00:32:36] a package across the country so those are disadvantages that we have as small businesses and we have a quick stat there's 250,000 roughly US manufacturers over 200,000 of those 80% plus are family owned businesses and the average number of employees is 39 so the backbone of this country's manufacturers

[00:33:01] are those family owned businesses which can't have a difficult time getting to market well that's our role is to get those products and those manufacturers that are spread across this country and if we can convince and just educate people the importance of spending their American dollars

[00:33:20] on American products to save this country it would make a huge difference now we can give the people of this country the ability to vote with their dollars and if they understand who they're benefiting with their dollars when they spend those dollars whether it's somebody in this country

[00:33:35] or another country or sometimes mostly generally an adversary we can make a huge difference if we all work together in that direction and so I wrote a book called Circle Economics and now it's not published but basically what it is is money goes in a circle

[00:33:52] so if you buy an imported or buy a domestic product a lot of times part of that money could come back to you in a circle whereas Amazon or Walmart and those type companies they take money out of those communities and it never returns

[00:34:08] so they actually extract the wealth out of all those communities and it's a horrible scenario but we have to figure out how to keep these dollars in this country so they circulate more I know you talked about taxes so when you pay when a manufacturer in this country

[00:34:26] sells a product they pay taxes on that product they pay their employees their employees pay taxes their employees go to restaurants those restaurants pay taxes and so on and so forth and so you get this long chain of events where the government pulls extracts I guess wealth

[00:34:42] out of each of those transactions well that's great that's what supports our country and if you look at the depletion our debt, a national debt that started back in 2000 when all these large manufacturers left the country and stopped paying taxes and so the revenue went down

[00:35:01] and expenses went up of course and so it's a very clear chart to draw now you have to control the politicians and how they spend their money or give it away but besides that we as Americans do have the ability to control how these dollars are spent

[00:35:17] and whether or not they stay in this country and so we're creating that tool raidingusa.com is that tool to keep those dollars here when you get your book published let me know and we'll talk about it on the air a little bit more

[00:35:30] see if we can't push that for you you know I was gonna say that when we have something made say it's in California, Missouri a little town that I'm in the people there are employed there and Ford used to when they first came to be

[00:35:52] they paid their employees enough that their employees could afford to buy the product they were putting out and I think that's something we need to keep in mind cheap labor does not necessarily help us but that's what some of these mega manufacturers are pushing for is cheap labor

[00:36:09] that doesn't necessarily help us and neither does a forced minimum wage this is just Beth's opinion you don't have to agree with me but producing a country that is actually producing products now we have to remember DC produces nothing they only extract but when American people

[00:36:31] actually are producing we have those entrepreneurs we have people like you that are just fantastic they know how to do things they know how to get things done and they employ people you're not supposed to dislike the rich or dislike your boss

[00:36:45] they may be sometimes you don't like Rudy doesn't like me all the time but those of course I don't pay maybe that's the reason he's a volunteer but my point is when you pick up something in the store and it's made in the USA or maybe it's not

[00:37:03] think about everything in that product how many people were employed the bottled or the box that is in the container the products that are in it what it took to get them there and maybe it's fingernail polish I know you've got made in US

[00:37:18] make up America on there the fingernail polish even the brushes that go in that bottle every single thing how many people across the nation were employed to make just that one product just that one product and even the ones who then are shipping not necessarily the US shipping

[00:37:34] but I'm talking about those who are packaging and get them out there anyway, that's all something to consider you're listening to CSE Talk Radio this is Beth Ann with Don Buckner made in the USA it is so important go to madeinusa.com madeinusa.com

[00:42:00] and we have a return to listening to CSE Talk Radio this is Beth Ann with Bob Donbuckner and we're talking about Made in the USA I'm gonna ask you a quick question then I want to read something to you

[00:42:17] which I know was going to be familiar to you but you in the past have tried and I know you had some success with it but I know COVID kind of hit and you kind of lost

[00:42:25] and then I kind of lost track of what you guys are doing but you were putting on some industrial or some expos and had different Made in the USA people come in there and do you have any of that in the future coming up?

[00:42:39] So I'm interesting that you bring that up 2019 we rented the Indianapolis Convention Center and we had brought in 300 manufacturers and we had a really tremendous show actually and Ted Nugent, John Rich we had big entertainment we spent quite a bit of money we had some really good conversations

[00:43:02] the manufacturers actually I call it cross-pollinated with each other and created relationships and that started the main benefit that came out of that was Fox and Friends gave us 13 live hits that morning interviewing myself and several manufacturers and we were able to get 3.2 billion web impressions

[00:43:21] from that particular event and of course COVID comes along and it kills the idea of doing trade shows and that prompted us to do what we're doing now which thank goodness we're doing but at some point in the future we do anticipate having something like that again

[00:43:38] so but it's right now it's not on the radar we got our hands full building this marketplace that we're putting together at the moment It's an internet expo basically it's what it is right? The website expo Not really you don't really get to meet the manufacturers

[00:43:55] and that is one of the things we hope to do in the future is put a small snippet on each of those products where the manufacturer themselves say okay this is the Smith family and we're in Missouri and we build this product and we have this many employees

[00:44:10] and we're supporters of our community just have a little snippet so you have an emotional connection with the people that build that product just like you said earlier more than just a product there's people behind that product and that's what we want the consumer to relate to

[00:44:26] that story I guess And I think you just don't think of it like that if you don't meet them I mean you don't consider it maybe we don't stop and think when we pick up a product what all went into making this product

[00:44:40] who all was involved in touching this product before it made it to the store shelf and that was kind of my point it allowed us a job of telling it but that was kind of my point You did great But how many people are involved

[00:44:55] in just one product that's made in the USA it's not just that one thing it's everything that is involved in it and I want to read something that I wrote actually I wrote it for you guys a long time ago part of it is yours, you wrote it

[00:45:07] but I wrote this a long time ago I want to do what I can to help you promote this but this you remember your patriotic Spender Pledge and I wrote this America has been lured into lust for cheap stuff

[00:45:20] and that appetite has taken us down a path of poverty lost jobs less tax dollars for our own roads and schools poison in our products and of course closed businesses how can America become the world's producers once again I believe as an American citizen

[00:45:39] I have a patriotic responsibility to rethink my purchases on the products I buy therefore I take the following pledge I pledge to buy American made first whenever possible I will always check the country of origin on all products that I buy

[00:45:55] I understand the impact of my buying decision when I buy American made products I know my dollars stay in this country that will create more jobs build a renewed sense of pride and prosperity for all Americans the power of change is in my pocket

[00:46:15] and then I went on do you agree and I'm telling my listeners do you agree well you need to join Made in America you need to help prop them up you need to use them that is your marketplace to go to

[00:46:25] now I'm going to tell another story here we are we're in a way where we got to put new carpeting in the house and that's as expensive and so we're looking around and I found a top notch top notch do you remember the brand name of that Rudy

[00:46:44] I was showing it to you yesterday I'll get it to you Don Made in the USA and we're probably going to go with it it's a little bit higher but it's going to last longer and it's benefitting America because other people are employed

[00:47:01] so I think that's the product we're going to go with very excited about it when I found it was Made in the USA we had to put in a furnace we'd been without a furnace for a long time

[00:47:12] a few years ago we had to put in a new furnace Made in the USA so I'm telling you the products are out there you just have to find them and this marketplace that Don is putting together it's a great pace to do that

[00:47:24] and I'm going to turn it over to you Don we've only got a few minutes left so preach it to the girls preach it to the guys out there you use one of our catchphrases which is the power of changes in our pockets that is exactly right

[00:47:40] we came up with a term called patriotic spending so when we spend our American dollars on American products to ultimately save this country we are doing our patriotic duty that is one way we right now we feel hopeless there's nothing much we can do

[00:47:58] well there actually is something we can do each of us individually we have control of how and when we spend our dollars and where those dollars go I was talking earlier about money going into those communities but that for every dollar you spend on American made product

[00:48:14] it actually multiplies into five or six times that within that community because every time it's spent within that community it doubles basically and so that's what people need to understand is that it's not just a single dollar being spent it multiplies

[00:48:32] the last thing I'll ask your listeners to do a couple different favors for us that we need to help with one is we need more exposure to media if somebody has media contacts and wants to introduce those to us please send us an email easy to do there

[00:48:48] the other is if they're manufacturer or nova manufacturer send them to the website don't just refer them to us you can refer them to us but have them go on the site or make an introduction and apply because we're aware of a lot of manufacturers it's getting

[00:49:08] in touch with the right people to get them on board is one thing the last thing I'll ask if you have listeners that are accredited investors and they feel this is a viable investment we feel I personally feel it's a multi-billion dollar project if you look at Amazon

[00:49:26] and they're doing their evaluation and they feel like they want to invest in something like this which is basically investing in the future of this country also there's a button up top that says invest now and I'd love to reach out to them

[00:49:40] and talk to them personally and see if they have what level of interest they have so that's for accredited investors currently so those are the things that people can do to help and we're looking forward to having more involvement with your listeners

[00:49:54] and I'll see you again best then oh you're welcome Don I was excited that you were doing this and were willing to come on and talk about it I appreciate it so much I had some other questions here at the last that I can't ask now but

[00:50:08] I'll shoot you an email and we'll see what we can get done I believe in what you're doing and let's overtake Amazon let's put them in second place that'd be a great thing wouldn't it I've been listening to CSE Talk Radio made in USA.com
