On January twelve, two thousand and seven, a mysterious violinist played for forty five minutes on the New York subway. A few people cheered, others clapped, and he raked in a whopping thirty dollars for his subway performance. Hello, I'm Ron Edwards on Today's page from the Ever's Notebook. No one in the New York subway, but the violinists knew they were enjoying one of the best musicians in all the world. In that subway, he played one of the most complex musical compositions ever written on a three point five million dollar violin. Two days before, he sold out two thousand tickets in a theater in Boston where the tickets averaged one hundred dollars apiece. He was paid about a thousand dollars for each moment of his performance by the organizers. Joshua bell Is, a violinist in this story. One of the world's great violinists listened to this. A bottle of water may be fifty cents at the grocery market, two dollars at the gym, three dollars at cinema, and six dollars on an airplane. The only thing that changed its value is its place.
