[00:00:06] When the Founding Fathers of the United States of America were writing about their displeasure with the tyranny of King George, the Black Robe Regiment lit a fire under the Founders, encouraging them to more boldly engage the British Empire in the quest for liberty. My, how times have changed! Hello, I'm Ron Edwards. On today's page from The Edwards Notebook...
[00:00:26] During the Revolutionary War, Christian ministers throughout the colonies became famously known as the Black Robe Regiment. They understood that God wanted the people to live in liberty, which means freedom with responsibility. The colonial Christian ministers exhorted their parishioners to be engaged in the quest for liberty and to reject any form of wrongful government abuses. They fully understood the biblical instruction to occupy until Jesus returns.
[00:00:53] Sadly, today most U.S. ministers have become yes-men and women of the government and tidy-bowl Fauci. Recently, Pastor Robert Jeffress told his parishioners he would not give them letters of religious exemption and they should get the shot. Franklin Graham famously said that Jesus, who cured all known diseases, would take the vaccine. Hmm. Where is the Black Robe Regiment for liberty today? I'm Ron Edwards.
