Those who fight against President Trump's tariffs are either ignorant or, like many others, seek to derail the president and undermine our republic. L I'm Ron Edwards on today's page from the Evers Notebook, brought to you by rit Brand's premium products for your Body and Soul. Recently, the US trade deficit in goods and services narrowed sharply, falling to sixty one point six billion dollars in April, down from one hundred and thirty eight point three billion in March. That was the largest monthly improvement on record due to a steep drop in imports and continued strength in US exports. The sixteen point three percent decline in imports, the biggest on record, coincided with the introduction of new US tear schedules and followed a month of accelerated purchasing by companies anticipating higher duties. Analysts noticed that much of the shift reflected a hangover after months of elevated imports, as businesses rushed to break in goods before Trump instituted reciprocal tariffs. At the same time, US exports increased by three percent. The rise in US exports suggest that fears of foreign retaliation against rightful US tariffs may have been overstated. Thank you, President Trump for seeking to even the trade playing field. I'm run As. Follow me on social media at x Ron Edwards Underscore Show
