The well known supermarket Bear went cashless. A large group of people decided to all shop at the cash to supermarket on the same day, filling their market carts to the brim, each shopper having everything scanned before bringing out cash. The staff was overrun in management in a tizzy. All customers repeatedly, calmly and in an organized and polite fashion, acting as if they knew nothing, no rudeness, no humiliation, offering no other method of payment than cash, and willing to leave their groceries if cash was not accepted. And guess what the supermarket management realized that the only logical choice was to reinstate cash payments. Next ups restaurants where groups of friends going out for dinner and nobody taking phones or credit cards, just cash. The reason why it works, and I believe it can work here in the US if organized in large, super nice and polite groups. It needs to be a carefully orchestrated way to say no to tyranny.
