Trump is correct in issuing tariffs against nations that have unfairly tariffed the United States to the brink of disaster. US farmers have endured varying degrees of unfair teriffs, ranging from two hundred to three hundred percent, especially on dairy products. Trump's tariffs should be a wake up call to old Canada and other nations that get all but hurt because the US now has a president looking out for our interests. I understand that our competitive trading partners don't like it too bad, that's their problem. In fact, many of our individual states and commonwealths may soon return to their manufacturing prowess. Then we Americans can buy made in America products till our hearts content. The higher Canadian tariffs are nothing more than a tempest in a little teapot. The US will soon be energy and dependent, whether Democrats like it or not. The United States does not need Canada or any other nation for anything. The founding fathers warned us not to become entangled with the other nations, so let's untangle the United States and truly be great again.
