The Bible says, honor thy father and mother. Unfortunately, good fathers are shown on a regular basis. They don't matter in America today. Hello, I'm or Ron Edwards on today's faith. From Beverag's notebook, there isn't a day that goes by that I don't remember my dad and wish I could have yet another conversation with him or go to one of our all day fishing excursions. His wisdom and common sense was never in short supply. Although we hated giving me spankings, which he rarely dispensed if I really deserved it. Lightning bumped the stump. He actually showed me in the Bible where fathers are commanded do not spare the rod or spoil the child. Dad was loved throughout our community and was always ready to help those in need. On Christmas Day, after we opened our gifts and had breakfast, Dad would gather us in the car and take us to either a relative or friends who was down on their luck, and would bring them both food and gifts. It was Dad who first taught me about what a great republic we live in and how we are blessed to reside in this wonderful land. Of liberty and opportunity, and to accept and follow Christ all the days of my life. Dad was elevated to heaven when I was twelve years old. I thank God for a great Dad that I had and look forward to one day seeing him in heaven. He's best friend. I'm Ron Edwards.
