As the Nazis were terrorizing Europe, many heroes refused to roll over and give in. Hello, I'm Ron Edwards. On today's page from your original book brought to you by Root Brands Premium Products. Catherine Dior, sister of designer Christian Dior, would often secretly meet with members of the resistance in Christian Dior's apartment. She was arrested in July of 1944 in Paris by the Descapel and was tortured for several days without speaking. She was placed on a train of misery and taken to Ravenbach. Catherine Gior was assigned number 47813, and she worked in external commandos in Torghoff and Lietzbierg. She was released in 1945 due to extreme mistreatment and being starved by the Nazis. Catherine Dior was unrecognizable to her family due to her extreme thinness. In 1947, Christian Dior created her first perfume, Miss Dior, in honor of her sister. Catherine Dior was given several medals for her brave actions in the resistance, including the Troy D. Gourves and the King's Medal of Courage and the Course of Freedom and the Legion of Honor. May we the people be so brave today in the fight against tyranny, I'm Ron Edwards. Join me live weekdays to find out where to go to TheRonEdwards.com.
