Because of the grossly inadequate government school system practice of not teaching complete and authentic American history, one would think that black Americans contributed very little to our American society. Hello, I'm Rod Edwards. On today's page from the Edwards Notebook. If your refrigerator contains any produce from your local grocery market, then you can rightfully credit black United States inventor Frederick McKinley Jones. Mister Jones took out more than sixty patents throughout his life of achievement. Amongst them was a nineteen thirties patent for the roof mounted cooling system, commonly used to refrigerate food products on extended transportation routes. Frederick McKinley Jones officially received his roof mounted cooling system patent for his invention in nineteen forty. He also co founded the US thermal control company that later became famous known as Thermo King. The company was critical during World War II, helping to preserve donated blood and food supplies for our American war heroes during the massive war between liberty and tyranny. I'm run Edwards.
