When I see stories about black Americans caping up for illegal border crossers, Muslim political candidates, and the H-1B program because many black Americans mistakenly believe and are happy because those issues hurt the United States, but black Americans don't understand. It is they who are most directly harmed. Hello, I'm Ron Edwards. On today's Face from the Edwards Notebook, Indian foreign students that American blacks are fans of are literally stealing HBCU internships meant for black Americans. Every year, big tech companies recruit interns from historically black colleges and universities to expand opportunities for underrepresented black Americans in the tech fields. Yet, Indian foreign students are dominating most of those positions. Indian students enroll in black universities only to access big tech's internship pipeline, then use CPT-OPT work authorization to gain entry into the U.S. job market. A program designed to expand opportunities for black Americans should not become a backdoor pipeline for foreign workers. One has to wonder who is monitoring such a massive fraud. Hopefully black Americans will care more about the foreign student internship stealing program than their hatred for America. I'm Ron Edwards and...
