[00:00:00] This is Sharonda, and you're listening to The Ron Edwards American Experience.
[00:00:05] On with the show, this is it.
[00:00:09] And away we go.
[00:00:17] Say A, say M, say E, say R, say I, say A.
[00:00:39] Ladies and gentlemen, it's The Ron Edwards American Experience Talk Show,
[00:00:44] where our unalienable rights are celebrated.
[00:00:48] And now, your radio refreshment, Ron Edwards.
[00:01:22] Ron Edwards, and welcome to the Thanksgiving Day edition of The Ron Edwards American Experience.
[00:01:28] Yes, we are celebrating Thanksgiving.
[00:01:30] Yep, it is that time of year again.
[00:01:33] It's the beginning of the, they like to call it the holiday season,
[00:01:38] but I like to call it the Thanksgiving Christmas season.
[00:01:41] And in my humble opinion, it is the happiest time of the year.
[00:01:47] And when you think about Thanksgiving, you know, everyone has their own interpretation of what Thanksgiving means to them.
[00:01:55] But there is a broad context for Thanksgiving here in the United States of America,
[00:02:00] meaning that we are thankful for God's bounty.
[00:02:02] We are thankful for our liberties.
[00:02:04] We are thankful for our families.
[00:02:05] And we're just thankful overall for being in such a nation as this.
[00:02:13] And we're thankful for the great potential of these United States of America.
[00:02:18] She's fallen just a bit.
[00:02:20] But I do believe that as we coalesce together as Americans who love God and love our country,
[00:02:27] and we reassess our attitudes and once again become a people that is known for their gratitude.
[00:02:37] I believe that as we work together to make America great again,
[00:02:42] but we must do it with an attitude of Thanksgiving.
[00:02:46] Now, Thanksgiving has a long history where there are stories of myth and myrrh and reality.
[00:02:55] And today we're going to be talking about a lot of reality when it comes to Thanksgiving,
[00:02:59] because we have a great guest who knows a whole lot about Thanksgiving and American history.
[00:03:04] His name is William Federer.
[00:03:06] He's one of America's greatest historians, in my humble opinion.
[00:03:10] And we're going to be talking to him after the first break.
[00:03:14] But in the meantime, in between time, my friends, there are a few headlines,
[00:03:19] a few stories that we must pay attention to.
[00:03:23] Now, one of them, as we begin this wonderful time of the year,
[00:03:30] something not so wonderful happening to some of President Trump's cabinet members
[00:03:34] that are being targeted with death threats.
[00:03:37] Many of President-elect Trump's cabinet picks had their lives threatened
[00:03:44] just because they want to restore America.
[00:03:48] Isn't it amazing people that are on a mad mission to destroy our republic,
[00:03:55] to turn it into a crappy nation,
[00:03:59] take away our liberties, our prosperity,
[00:04:04] to take away our livelihoods, our rights, etc., etc., etc.
[00:04:10] We have people like Stefanski, Elise Stefanski of New York, and many others.
[00:04:17] I mean, they had to take bomb-sniffing dogs to Elise Stefanski's home.
[00:04:26] And, you know, they had to swat the landscape.
[00:04:31] And many others.
[00:04:33] A pipe bomb threatening her family.
[00:04:38] And these are, you know, in this case, it was pro-Palestinian.
[00:04:45] It was a pro-Palestinian-themed message.
[00:04:48] This is the kind of crap that we have to deal with
[00:04:51] because we want a better life.
[00:04:55] And something else, as we begin this wonderful time of the year
[00:05:01] with our Thanksgiving,
[00:05:03] most Americans hope to avoid political talk at Thanksgiving.
[00:05:08] Now, in my humble opinion, I think that's a big mistake.
[00:05:12] You know how people say,
[00:05:13] well, there's two things that should not be discussed,
[00:05:16] religion and politics.
[00:05:18] Well, I believe, you know, the total opposite
[00:05:23] because we are governed by our belief in God.
[00:05:29] And through our belief, we are to govern our politics.
[00:05:34] And we have to know a lot about both
[00:05:37] because we can't be a people that are religiously stupid
[00:05:41] and politically ignorant.
[00:05:45] Now, I find it, well, it's not ironic.
[00:05:48] I was going to say it's ironic,
[00:05:49] but it seems that Trump voters, people on the right,
[00:05:53] are slightly more open to talking politics at Thanksgiving
[00:05:56] because when we talk about politics,
[00:05:59] we come from a position of solutions,
[00:06:03] a positive direction.
[00:06:05] Will we have a vision where the end result of our actions
[00:06:09] produce a better lifestyle for our children
[00:06:12] and our children's children,
[00:06:14] a superior legacy,
[00:06:16] a restoration of liberty,
[00:06:19] how about making America health again?
[00:06:23] You know, positive things.
[00:06:26] By political affiliation, 72% of voters
[00:06:29] who supported Vice President Kamala
[00:06:32] and 62% of voters who supported President-elect Trump
[00:06:36] want to avoid talking politics on Thanksgiving.
[00:06:42] And again, I think that's not right.
[00:06:46] We should be open and intelligent enough
[00:06:50] to speak about those things.
[00:06:54] And those of us who want the country to be great again,
[00:06:57] we must be aware enough
[00:07:02] concerning the issues of the day
[00:07:06] that we are solution-oriented in our discussions,
[00:07:10] that we know what we're talking about,
[00:07:14] and that where we can prove in discussions
[00:07:18] that what the leftists have been promoting
[00:07:23] leads only to destruction.
[00:07:27] You know, one of the good things about the
[00:07:29] Uncle Joe Biden and Kamala Harris administration,
[00:07:33] I think, was very, very good,
[00:07:35] is that because it was so terrible
[00:07:39] and the left became so emboldened
[00:07:43] and they embarked on so many activities
[00:07:46] politically,
[00:07:48] in the libraries,
[00:07:49] with the children.
[00:07:50] I mean, things were just going
[00:07:51] totally crazy all the way across the board
[00:07:53] and it got so bad
[00:07:55] that it woke people up.
[00:07:58] It went far beyond those of us
[00:08:00] who already knew,
[00:08:03] you know, know right from wrong
[00:08:04] and want what's right to be prevalent
[00:08:06] in our society.
[00:08:07] Those people, the in-betweeners, we call them,
[00:08:11] the independent types,
[00:08:13] the people that were not too concerned
[00:08:15] about politics
[00:08:17] and things of that nature.
[00:08:19] They became very aware
[00:08:20] because their pocketbook was very stressed
[00:08:25] and will remain so
[00:08:26] until after the 20th
[00:08:28] and they started enacting better policies.
[00:08:30] But now there is a sense of optimism.
[00:08:33] I mean, when it was stated
[00:08:37] that President Trump had won the election,
[00:08:39] immediately I could feel
[00:08:41] like a cloud of darkness lifting
[00:08:44] off of not only my shoulders,
[00:08:46] but I felt it lifting off the nation.
[00:08:50] And there is an air of positivity.
[00:08:52] And see, that's the hallmark of America,
[00:08:54] by the way.
[00:08:55] America has always been
[00:08:56] a very positive place.
[00:08:59] As a little boy,
[00:09:00] I used to always hear the statement
[00:09:01] American know-how,
[00:09:04] American ingenuity.
[00:09:06] I mean, those two statements
[00:09:08] were thrown around
[00:09:10] by many of our teachers.
[00:09:14] We made stuff.
[00:09:15] We made our own stuff.
[00:09:16] We didn't have to depend on China
[00:09:17] or Mexico
[00:09:18] or anything like that.
[00:09:20] We made our own stuff.
[00:09:21] If you want America to be great again,
[00:09:23] by the way,
[00:09:24] we have to make our own stuff.
[00:09:28] We can't play footsies
[00:09:30] with enemy nations.
[00:09:32] The founding fathers warned us,
[00:09:34] hey, look,
[00:09:35] don't become so entangled
[00:09:36] with these other nations.
[00:09:38] Don't get involved
[00:09:38] in their wars.
[00:09:41] What do we do?
[00:09:42] What did we do?
[00:09:43] Uncle Joe?
[00:09:45] What has the CIA been doing
[00:09:46] for many years?
[00:09:48] Getting us involved
[00:09:49] in the military-industrial complex
[00:09:51] that Eisenhower warned us about,
[00:09:53] getting us foolishly involved
[00:09:55] in all of these
[00:09:57] entanglements
[00:09:58] around the world.
[00:09:58] And guess what?
[00:10:01] We ended up
[00:10:02] with a lot of enemies.
[00:10:04] Instead of being great
[00:10:06] within ourselves,
[00:10:07] being an example
[00:10:08] of greatness,
[00:10:09] which other nations
[00:10:10] could follow
[00:10:11] and wouldn't have to try
[00:10:12] to send millions
[00:10:13] of their beleaguered people
[00:10:15] to this country
[00:10:16] just for a bite to eat.
[00:10:20] You know,
[00:10:20] you can teach a man,
[00:10:21] you can give a man a meal
[00:10:23] or you can teach him
[00:10:24] how to fish
[00:10:25] and he'll eat forever.
[00:10:27] Well, anyway,
[00:10:28] we're going to be eating
[00:10:28] on the knowledge
[00:10:30] of Bill Federer
[00:10:30] when we return
[00:10:31] on this Thanksgiving
[00:10:32] edition

[00:14:29] we

[00:14:34] historian
[00:14:34] to the

[00:14:36] and
[00:14:36] hello
[00:14:37] Mr.
[00:14:38] Federer
[00:14:38] and welcome
[00:14:38] back.
[00:14:40] Hey Ron
[00:14:41] great to be
[00:14:41] with you.
[00:14:42] Oh man
[00:14:43] it's an
[00:14:43] honor.
[00:14:44] You know
[00:14:45] I just
[00:14:46] you know
[00:14:46] when we
[00:14:47] were in
[00:14:47] England
[00:14:47] a few
[00:14:48] years ago
[00:14:48] and they
[00:14:49] took me
[00:14:50] to the
[00:14:50] spot
[00:14:50] in
[00:14:51] Plymouth
[00:14:52] where
[00:14:53] the
[00:14:53] remaining
[00:14:55] pilgrims
[00:14:56] got on
[00:14:57] the ships
[00:14:57] there
[00:14:57] and they
[00:14:58] took me
[00:14:58] to the
[00:14:59] steps
[00:14:59] the
[00:15:00] original
[00:15:00] steps
[00:15:00] are
[00:15:01] still
[00:15:01] there
[00:15:01] at least
[00:15:02] that's
[00:15:02] what they
[00:15:03] told me
[00:15:03] those
[00:15:03] were the
[00:15:03] original
[00:15:04] steps
[00:15:04] they
[00:15:04] looked
[00:15:04] pretty
[00:15:05] old
[00:15:05] I
[00:15:05] kind
[00:15:05] of
[00:15:06] believed
[00:15:06] them
[00:15:07] and
[00:15:07] I
[00:15:07] could
[00:15:08] just
[00:15:08] imagine
[00:15:09] what
[00:15:09] was
[00:15:09] going
[00:15:10] through
[00:15:10] their
[00:15:10] minds
[00:15:10] when
[00:15:11] they
[00:15:11] were
[00:15:11] boarding
[00:15:12] that
[00:15:12] ship
[00:15:14] the
[00:15:15] Mayflower
[00:15:17] to
[00:15:18] head
[00:15:18] on
[00:15:18] their
[00:15:18] way
[00:15:18] to
[00:15:18] the
[00:15:19] new
[00:15:19] world
[00:15:19] they
[00:15:19] didn't
[00:15:20] know
[00:15:20] technically
[00:15:20] where
[00:15:21] they
[00:15:21] were
[00:15:21] going
[00:15:21] they
[00:15:22] didn't
[00:15:22] know
[00:15:22] what
[00:15:22] was
[00:15:22] going
[00:15:23] to
[00:15:23] be
[00:15:23] waiting
[00:15:24] but
[00:15:24] they
[00:15:25] had
[00:15:25] faith
[00:15:25] and
[00:15:25] they
[00:15:25] had
[00:15:26] a
[00:15:26] dream
[00:15:27] and
[00:15:27] they
[00:15:50] conquered
[00:15:52] they
[00:15:53] conquered
[00:15:54] the
[00:15:54] back
[00:15:54] story
[00:15:54] how
[00:15:55] the
[00:15:56] Muslims
[00:15:56] had
[00:15:57] conquered
[00:15:57] North
[00:15:58] Africa
[00:15:58] they
[00:15:59] had
[00:15:59] conquered
[00:15:59] the
[00:16:00] Holy
[00:16:00] Land
[00:16:00] they
[00:16:01] conquered
[00:16:01] into
[00:16:01] Turkey
[00:16:02] they
[00:16:03] conquered
[00:16:04] into
[00:16:05] Hungary
[00:16:06] and are
[00:16:06] surrounding
[00:16:08] Vienna
[00:16:08] Austria
[00:16:08] 1529
[00:16:09] and
[00:16:10] then
[00:16:11] the
[00:16:11] Sultan
[00:16:12] has
[00:16:12] his
[00:16:13] navy
[00:16:13] on
[00:16:13] the
[00:16:14] Mediterranean
[00:16:14] and
[00:16:15] they're
[00:16:16] being
[00:16:16] stopped
[00:16:16] by the
[00:16:17] King
[00:16:17] of
[00:16:17] Spain
[00:16:17] it's
[00:16:18] the
[00:16:18] Battle
[00:16:18] of
[00:16:18] Lepanto
[00:16:19] 1572
[00:16:20] biggest battle
[00:16:21] ever on
[00:16:21] the
[00:16:21] Mediterranean
[00:16:23] Spain
[00:16:23] wins
[00:16:24] but
[00:16:24] rather than
[00:16:25] freeing up
[00:16:25] the rest
[00:16:26] of the
[00:16:26] Mediterranean
[00:16:26] Spain
[00:16:27] decides
[00:16:27] to send
[00:16:28] the
[00:16:29] Iron
[00:16:29] Duke
[00:16:29] of
[00:16:30] Alba
[00:16:30] to
[00:16:31] Antwerp
[00:16:32] Holland
[00:16:32] to
[00:16:33] kill
[00:16:33] 10,000
[00:16:34] Dutch
[00:16:34] reformed
[00:16:35] in the
[00:16:35] Spanish
[00:16:36] fury
[00:16:36] and
[00:16:37] then
[00:16:37] the
[00:16:37] King
[00:16:38] of
[00:16:38] Spain
[00:16:38] decides
[00:16:38] to
[00:16:38] send
[00:16:39] his
[00:16:39] armada
[00:16:39] in
[00:16:40] 1588
[00:16:41] to
[00:16:41] smash
[00:16:43] the
[00:16:44] Anglican
[00:16:44] movement
[00:16:45] in
[00:16:45] England
[00:16:46] Queen
[00:16:46] Elizabeth
[00:16:46] rallies
[00:16:47] the
[00:16:47] country
[00:16:47] and
[00:16:48] a
[00:16:48] hurricane
[00:16:49] happens
[00:16:49] and
[00:16:50] the
[00:16:50] Spanish
[00:16:50] armada
[00:16:51] is
[00:16:51] smashed
[00:16:52] on
[00:16:52] the
[00:16:53] coast
[00:16:53] of
[00:16:53] Ireland
[00:16:54] and
[00:16:54] it
[00:16:55] begins
[00:16:56] the
[00:16:56] beginning
[00:16:56] of
[00:17:05] New
[00:17:06] Amsterdam
[00:17:06] which
[00:17:06] became
[00:17:07] New
[00:17:07] York
[00:17:07] and
[00:17:08] the
[00:17:08] British
[00:17:08] settled
[00:17:09] New
[00:17:09] England
[00:17:09] and
[00:17:10] Virginia
[00:17:12] but
[00:17:13] the
[00:17:13] situation
[00:17:14] in
[00:17:14] Europe
[00:17:15] was
[00:17:15] you
[00:17:15] had
[00:17:16] to
[00:17:16] believe
[00:17:16] the
[00:17:16] way
[00:17:16] your
[00:17:16] king
[00:17:17] did
[00:17:18] and
[00:17:21] if
[00:17:21] you
[00:17:22] didn't
[00:17:22] believe
[00:17:22] the
[00:17:22] way
[00:17:23] your
[00:17:23] king
[00:17:23] did
[00:17:23] you
[00:17:23] were
[00:17:23] persecuted
[00:17:24] and
[00:17:24] you
[00:17:24] fled
[00:17:25] and
[00:17:26] so
[00:17:27] you
[00:17:27] had
[00:17:29] the
[00:17:30] king
[00:17:30] of
[00:17:30] England
[00:17:37] the
[00:17:38] dissenters
[00:17:39] the
[00:17:40] dissenters
[00:17:40] were
[00:17:41] Baptists
[00:17:42] and
[00:17:42] later
[00:17:43] Quakers
[00:17:43] and
[00:17:44] later
[00:17:44] Presbyterians
[00:17:45] and
[00:17:49] now
[00:17:50] this
[00:17:50] King
[00:17:50] James
[00:17:51] he was
[00:17:51] the
[00:17:52] interpreter
[00:17:53] of the
[00:17:53] Bible
[00:17:53] that we
[00:17:54] are all
[00:17:55] familiar
[00:17:55] with
[00:17:55] today
[00:17:56] is this
[00:17:56] the same
[00:17:57] King
[00:17:57] James
[00:17:58] you're
[00:17:58] referring
[00:17:58] to
[00:17:59] hello
[00:18:08] I think
[00:18:09] we lost
[00:18:09] him
[00:18:09] Doug
[00:18:10] did
[00:18:10] we
[00:18:10] lose
[00:18:10] him
[00:18:12] oh
[00:18:13] man
[00:18:14] oh
[00:18:14] wow
[00:18:15] we were
[00:18:15] just
[00:18:15] getting
[00:18:15] ready
[00:18:15] to get
[00:18:16] into
[00:18:16] it
[00:18:17] well
[00:18:18] we're
[00:18:18] going
[00:18:18] to keep
[00:18:18] going
[00:18:18] until
[00:18:19] we can
[00:18:19] get
[00:18:19] him
[00:18:19] back
[00:18:19] Doug
[00:18:20] Doug's
[00:18:20] working
[00:18:21] I guess
[00:18:21] we have
[00:18:22] a bit
[00:18:22] of a
[00:18:23] technical
[00:18:23] issue
[00:18:26] but
[00:18:26] anyway
[00:18:27] we can
[00:18:27] silence
[00:18:27] the
[00:18:28] ring
[00:18:29] oh
[00:18:33] man
[00:18:33] this
[00:18:34] is
[00:18:34] crazy
[00:18:36] okay
[00:18:45] I guess
[00:18:46] that's
[00:18:46] it
[00:18:46] Doug
[00:18:51] sorry
[00:18:52] I missed
[00:18:52] your call
[00:18:53] you can
[00:18:53] leave a
[00:18:53] message
[00:18:54] or
[00:18:54] okay
[00:18:56] I guess
[00:18:57] that's
[00:18:57] it
[00:18:59] anyway
[00:19:01] you know
[00:19:02] Mr.
[00:19:03] Federer
[00:19:03] was
[00:19:03] referring
[00:19:04] to the
[00:19:04] history
[00:19:05] and
[00:19:05] that
[00:19:06] was
[00:19:06] the
[00:19:06] King
[00:19:07] James
[00:19:07] who
[00:19:09] wrote
[00:19:09] the
[00:19:09] Bible
[00:19:10] that
[00:19:10] we're
[00:19:10] all
[00:19:10] familiar
[00:19:11] with
[00:19:11] today
[00:19:11] King
[00:19:12] James
[00:19:13] of that
[00:19:13] period
[00:19:14] and
[00:19:15] yes
[00:19:16] though
[00:19:16] he
[00:19:17] was
[00:19:17] it
[00:19:18] amazes
[00:19:19] me
[00:19:19] how
[00:19:19] the
[00:19:20] step
[00:19:20] towards
[00:19:21] freedom
[00:19:22] was like
[00:19:22] a ladder
[00:19:23] you know
[00:19:24] you go
[00:19:25] all the way
[00:19:25] back
[00:19:25] to the
[00:19:26] Magna
[00:19:26] Carta
[00:19:28] scribed
[00:19:29] in the
[00:19:29] oh
[00:19:31] man
[00:19:31] was it
[00:19:32] the
[00:19:32] 1200s
[00:19:33] that
[00:19:34] was one
[00:19:34] of the
[00:19:35] first
[00:19:38] you know
[00:19:39] that was
[00:19:40] one of
[00:19:40] the
[00:19:40] first
[00:19:42] literatures
[00:19:44] directly
[00:19:46] pointing out
[00:19:47] the need
[00:19:48] for
[00:19:48] true
[00:19:49] liberty
[00:19:49] or
[00:19:50] freedom
[00:19:50] for
[00:19:50] mankind
[00:19:52] and
[00:19:53] it just
[00:19:53] goes up
[00:19:54] and up
[00:19:55] and up
[00:19:55] from there
[00:20:01] run
[00:20:02] Edwards
[00:20:02] American
[00:20:04] experience
[00:20:05] hotline
[00:20:07] anyway
[00:20:08] okay
[00:20:08] false
[00:20:09] alarm
[00:20:09] Doug
[00:20:10] okay
[00:20:11] why don't
[00:20:11] you just
[00:20:12] silence it
[00:20:12] and just
[00:20:13] we'll just
[00:20:13] go on
[00:20:17] so
[00:20:17] anyway
[00:20:18] sorry about
[00:20:19] that folks
[00:20:20] but we
[00:20:20] are going
[00:20:21] to soldier
[00:20:21] on on
[00:20:22] this the
[00:20:22] run
[00:20:22] Edwards
[00:20:23] American
[00:20:23] experience
[00:20:24] Thanksgiving
[00:20:24] day
[00:20:25] edition
[00:20:26] now we
[00:20:27] do know
[00:20:28] that
[00:20:29] as
[00:20:29] the
[00:20:31] the
[00:20:31] men
[00:20:32] and
[00:20:32] women
[00:20:34] embarked
[00:20:35] upon
[00:20:35] the
[00:20:36] great
[00:20:36] journey
[00:20:37] across
[00:20:38] the
[00:20:38] ocean
[00:20:40] are
[00:20:41] you
[00:20:41] back
[00:20:41] Bill
[00:20:42] yes
[00:20:43] yes
[00:20:43] I
[00:20:43] apologize
[00:20:44] I had
[00:20:44] a call
[00:20:44] come in
[00:20:45] and it
[00:20:45] bumped
[00:20:45] this call
[00:20:46] which I
[00:20:47] feel terrible
[00:20:47] about
[00:20:47] okay
[00:20:49] all right
[00:20:49] yeah let's
[00:20:50] take it
[00:20:51] I think
[00:20:52] you mentioned
[00:20:53] King James
[00:20:54] and that's
[00:20:55] where things
[00:20:55] died out
[00:20:56] and I
[00:20:56] asked you
[00:20:56] the question
[00:20:57] is that
[00:20:58] the same
[00:20:58] King James
[00:20:59] who wrote
[00:21:00] the familiar
[00:21:00] Bible
[00:21:01] that most
[00:21:02] of us
[00:21:02] partake of
[00:21:03] the King
[00:21:04] James
[00:21:04] Bible
[00:21:06] right
[00:21:07] so
[00:21:07] he was
[00:21:08] he's also
[00:21:09] the King
[00:21:10] James
[00:21:10] that Jamestown
[00:21:11] was named
[00:21:11] after
[00:21:12] the
[00:21:14] back
[00:21:14] story
[00:21:15] on that
[00:21:16] is
[00:21:16] Henry
[00:21:17] VIII
[00:21:18] was
[00:21:18] Catholic
[00:21:19] and his
[00:21:20] wife
[00:21:21] Catherine
[00:21:21] of Aragon
[00:21:22] did not
[00:21:23] have a son
[00:21:23] and so
[00:21:24] he decides
[00:21:25] to divorce
[00:21:25] her
[00:21:26] and the
[00:21:27] Pope
[00:21:27] won't
[00:21:27] recognize
[00:21:27] the
[00:21:28] divorce
[00:21:28] because
[00:21:28] she is
[00:21:29] after all
[00:21:29] the daughter
[00:21:30] of the
[00:21:30] King
[00:21:30] of Spain
[00:21:31] who's
[00:21:31] the most
[00:21:31] powerful
[00:21:32] guy
[00:21:32] in the
[00:21:32] world
[00:21:32] at the
[00:21:33] time
[00:21:33] and so
[00:21:34] Henry VIII
[00:21:35] says
[00:21:35] you know
[00:21:35] what
[00:21:36] I'll just
[00:21:36] make
[00:21:36] myself
[00:21:36] my own
[00:21:37] Pope
[00:21:37] he starts
[00:21:38] the
[00:21:38] Church
[00:21:38] of
[00:21:38] England
[00:21:39] puts
[00:21:39] himself
[00:21:39] on as
[00:21:40] the head
[00:21:40] and goes
[00:21:41] on to
[00:21:41] have
[00:21:42] six
[00:21:42] wives
[00:21:43] divorced
[00:21:43] beheaded
[00:21:44] died
[00:21:44] divorced
[00:21:45] beheaded
[00:21:45] survived
[00:21:46] not a
[00:21:47] nice guy
[00:21:47] to be
[00:21:47] married
[00:21:48] to
[00:21:48] his
[00:21:48] advisors
[00:21:49] told him
[00:21:49] if he's
[00:21:50] serious
[00:21:51] about
[00:21:51] breaking
[00:21:51] from
[00:21:52] Rome
[00:21:52] he should
[00:21:53] stop
[00:21:53] using
[00:21:53] the
[00:21:54] Latin
[00:21:54] Bible
[00:21:55] get
[00:21:55] himself
[00:21:56] an
[00:21:56] English
[00:21:56] Bible
[00:21:56] the
[00:21:57] German
[00:21:57] princes
[00:21:58] have
[00:21:58] Martin
[00:21:58] Luther's
[00:21:59] German
[00:21:59] Bible
[00:21:59] that
[00:22:00] helped
[00:22:00] them
[00:22:00] break
[00:22:01] away
[00:22:01] from
[00:22:01] Rome
[00:22:01] he
[00:22:01] needed
[00:22:01] to
[00:22:02] get
[00:22:02] himself
[00:22:02] an
[00:22:02] English
[00:22:02] Bible
[00:22:03] well
[00:22:03] it
[00:22:04] just
[00:22:04] so
[00:22:04] happens
[00:22:04] Henry VIII
[00:22:05] had
[00:22:06] William
[00:22:06] Tyndall
[00:22:07] burnt
[00:22:07] at the
[00:22:08] stake
[00:22:08] a couple
[00:22:08] years
[00:22:08] earlier
[00:22:09] for
[00:22:09] what
[00:22:09] for
[00:22:09] translating
[00:22:10] the
[00:22:10] Bible
[00:22:10] into
[00:22:10] English
[00:22:11] but
[00:22:11] now
[00:22:11] the
[00:22:12] king
[00:22:12] wants
[00:22:12] an
[00:22:13] English
[00:22:13] Bible
[00:22:13] so
[00:22:14] they
[00:22:14] take
[00:22:14] Tyndall's
[00:22:15] work
[00:22:15] polish
[00:22:15] it
[00:22:15] up
[00:22:15] they
[00:22:16] call
[00:22:16] it
[00:22:16] the
[00:22:16] great
[00:22:17] Bible
[00:22:17] Henry
[00:22:17] likes
[00:22:18] it
[00:22:18] he
[00:22:18] orders
[00:22:19] a
[00:22:19] copy
[00:22:19] put
[00:22:19] in
[00:22:19] every
[00:22:19] church
[00:22:20] in
[00:22:20] England
[00:22:20] and
[00:22:21] he
[00:22:21] dusts
[00:22:21] his
[00:22:21] hands
[00:22:22] and
[00:22:22] he
[00:22:22] goes
[00:22:22] that's
[00:22:22] it
[00:22:22] we
[00:22:23] broke
[00:22:23] him
[00:22:23] from
[00:22:23] Rome
[00:22:24] he
[00:22:25] didn't
[00:22:25] realize
[00:22:25] that
[00:22:25] people
[00:22:26] would
[00:22:26] actually
[00:22:26] read
[00:22:26] it
[00:22:27] and
[00:22:27] began
[00:22:28] to
[00:22:28] compare
[00:22:28] what's
[00:22:28] in
[00:22:29] this
[00:22:29] Bible
[00:22:29] to
[00:22:30] this
[00:22:30] king
[00:22:30] divorcing
[00:22:31] and
[00:22:31] beheading
[00:22:31] his
[00:22:31] wives
[00:22:32] and
[00:22:32] so
[00:22:32] a
[00:22:32] group
[00:22:33] starts
[00:22:33] to
[00:22:33] purify
[00:22:34] the
[00:22:34] church
[00:22:34] of
[00:22:34] England
[00:22:35] they're
[00:22:35] nicknamed
[00:22:35] Puritans
[00:22:37] and
[00:22:37] another
[00:22:37] group
[00:22:38] said
[00:22:38] it's
[00:22:38] beyond
[00:22:38] hope
[00:22:38] of
[00:22:39] purifying
[00:22:39] we're
[00:22:39] going
[00:22:39] to
[00:23:00] have
[00:23:00] a
[00:23:00] king
[00:23:00] for
[00:23:01] four
[00:23:01] centuries
[00:23:01] everybody
[00:23:02] was
[00:23:02] taught
[00:23:03] the
[00:23:03] law
[00:23:03] and
[00:23:04] everybody
[00:23:04] was
[00:23:05] personally
[00:23:05] accountable
[00:23:06] to
[00:23:06] God
[00:23:06] to
[00:23:06] follow
[00:23:07] it
[00:23:07] and
[00:23:08] it
[00:23:08] worked
[00:23:08] in
[00:23:08] ancient
[00:23:09] Israel
[00:23:09] until
[00:23:10] the
[00:23:10] priests
[00:23:10] went
[00:23:11] woke
[00:23:11] and
[00:23:12] stopped
[00:23:12] teaching
[00:23:12] the
[00:23:13] law
[00:23:13] and
[00:23:13] every
[00:23:13] man
[00:23:13] did
[00:23:14] what's
[00:23:14] right
[00:23:14] on
[00:23:14] their
[00:23:14] own
[00:23:14] eyes
[00:23:15] and
[00:23:15] yet
[00:23:16] concubines
[00:23:16] being raped
[00:23:16] by
[00:23:17] sodomites
[00:23:17] and
[00:23:17] they
[00:23:18] all
[00:23:18] go to
[00:23:18] Samuel
[00:23:18] the
[00:23:18] prophet
[00:23:19] and
[00:23:19] they
[00:23:19] go
[00:23:19] to
[00:23:19] self
[00:23:20] government
[00:23:20] system
[00:23:20] they're
[00:23:21] not
[00:23:21] working
[00:23:21] anymore
[00:23:21] we
[00:23:22] want
[00:23:22] to
[00:23:22] be
[00:23:22] like
[00:23:22] the
[00:23:23] other
[00:23:23] countries
[00:23:23] we
[00:23:24] want
[00:23:24] a
[00:23:24] king
[00:23:25] now
[00:23:25] why
[00:23:25] is
[00:23:26] this
[00:23:26] story
[00:23:26] important
[00:23:26] the
[00:23:27] kings
[00:23:28] of
[00:23:28] Europe
[00:23:28] look
[00:23:29] to
[00:23:29] the
[00:23:29] Bible
[00:23:29] for
[00:23:29] their
[00:23:30] authority
[00:23:30] but
[00:23:30] they
[00:23:30] look
[00:23:31] to
[00:23:31] the
[00:23:31] king
[00:23:31] Saul
[00:23:31] and
[00:23:32] on
[00:23:32] part
[00:23:33] of
[00:23:33] the
[00:23:33] Bible
[00:23:33] divine
[00:23:33] right
[00:23:34] of
[00:23:34] kings
[00:23:34] I'm
[00:23:34] the
[00:23:34] royal
[00:23:35] gang
[00:23:35] leader
[00:23:35] and
[00:23:36] the
[00:23:36] pilgrims
[00:23:37] and
[00:23:37] puritans
[00:23:37] look
[00:23:38] to
[00:23:38] the
[00:23:38] pre
[00:23:38] king
[00:23:39] Saul
[00:23:39] part
[00:23:39] of
[00:23:39] the
[00:23:39] Bible
[00:23:40] millions
[00:23:40] of
[00:23:41] people
[00:23:41] everybody
[00:23:41] taught
[00:23:42] the
[00:23:42] law
[00:23:42] personally
[00:23:43] accountable
[00:23:43] to
[00:23:43] God
[00:23:43] to
[00:23:43] follow
[00:23:44] it
[00:23:44] and
[00:23:44] so
[00:23:45] these
[00:23:45] pilgrims
[00:23:45] had
[00:23:45] a
[00:23:46] covenant
[00:23:47] form
[00:23:47] of
[00:23:47] church
[00:23:48] government
[00:23:48] that
[00:23:49] they
[00:24:08] spent
[00:24:09] 80
[00:24:09] years
[00:24:10] working
[00:24:10] together
[00:24:11] in
[00:24:12] a
[00:24:12] war
[00:24:12] of
[00:24:12] independence
[00:24:13] from
[00:24:13] Spain
[00:24:13] and
[00:24:14] these
[00:24:15] seven
[00:24:15] provinces
[00:24:15] didn't
[00:24:16] always
[00:24:16] believe
[00:24:17] the
[00:24:17] same
[00:24:17] thing
[00:24:17] but
[00:24:18] they
[00:24:18] were
[00:24:18] willing
[00:24:18] to
[00:24:19] have
[00:24:19] some
[00:24:19] tolerance
[00:24:19] because
[00:24:20] they're
[00:24:20] all
[00:24:20] working
[00:24:20] together
[00:24:21] and
[00:24:21] so
[00:24:22] the
[00:24:22] Netherlands
[00:24:22] was
[00:24:23] the
[00:24:23] most
[00:24:23] tolerant
[00:24:24] place
[00:24:25] in
[00:24:25] all
[00:24:25] of
[00:24:26] Europe
[00:24:26] every
[00:24:27] other
[00:24:27] country
[00:24:28] it
[00:24:28] had
[00:24:28] a
[00:24:28] particular
[00:24:29] denomination
[00:24:30] and
[00:24:31] you
[00:24:31] know
[00:24:32] England
[00:24:32] was
[00:24:32] Anglican
[00:24:33] Scotland
[00:24:33] was
[00:24:34] Presbyterian
[00:24:34] Holland
[00:24:35] was
[00:24:35] Dutch
[00:24:35] Reformed
[00:24:36] Northern
[00:24:36] Germany
[00:24:40] and
[00:24:40] if
[00:24:41] you
[00:24:42] didn't
[00:24:42] believe
[00:24:42] exactly
[00:24:43] the way
[00:24:43] your
[00:24:43] king
[00:24:44] did
[00:24:44] you
[00:24:45] were
[00:24:45] persecuted
[00:24:45] you
[00:24:45] fled
[00:24:46] but
[00:24:47] the
[00:24:47] Netherlands
[00:24:47] had
[00:24:47] some
[00:24:48] tolerance
[00:24:48] and
[00:24:49] so
[00:24:49] the
[00:24:49] pilgrim
[00:24:49] said
[00:24:50] let's
[00:24:50] go
[00:24:50] to
[00:24:50] the
[00:24:50] Netherlands
[00:24:51] one
[00:24:52] group
[00:24:52] of
[00:24:52] pilgrims
[00:24:53] sold
[00:24:53] their
[00:24:53] property
[00:24:54] and
[00:24:55] arranged
[00:24:55] to
[00:24:56] have
[00:24:56] a
[00:24:56] captain
[00:24:57] take
[00:24:58] them
[00:24:58] but
[00:24:58] right
[00:24:59] before
[00:24:59] they
[00:24:59] left
[00:25:00] the
[00:25:00] port
[00:25:00] the
[00:25:00] captain
[00:25:00] robbed
[00:25:01] them
[00:25:01] and
[00:25:02] turned
[00:25:02] them
[00:25:02] over
[00:25:02] to
[00:25:02] the
[00:25:02] police
[00:25:03] as
[00:25:03] heretics
[00:25:04] Bill
[00:25:05] we're
[00:25:05] going
[00:25:05] to
[00:25:05] have
[00:25:05] to
[00:25:06] hold
[00:25:06] it
[00:25:06] right
[00:25:06] there
[00:25:06] we'll
[00:25:11] be
[00:25:17] right
[00:25:18] back
[00:25:18] after
[00:25:18] this
[00:25:18] this
[00:25:21] is
[00:25:21] pastor
[00:25:21] carl
[00:25:21] noble
[00:25:22] from
[00:25:22] good
[00:25:22] shepherd
[00:25:23] Lutheran
[00:25:24] in
[00:25:24] slide
[00:25:24] Louisiana
[00:25:25] I
[00:25:25] hope
[00:25:25] pray
[00:25:26] that
[00:25:26] you'll
[00:25:27] have
[00:25:27] a
[00:25:27] wonderful
[00:25:27] and
[00:25:28] blessed
[00:25:28] Thanksgiving
[00:25:29] as we
[00:25:29] remember
[00:25:29] the
[00:25:30] great
[00:25:30] country
[00:25:30] that
[00:25:31] we
[00:25:31] live
[00:25:31] in
[00:25:31] in
[00:26:09] recent
[00:26:10] years
[00:26:10] much
[00:26:10] has
[00:26:10] been
[00:26:11] done
[00:26:11] to
[00:26:11] try
[00:26:11] and
[00:26:11] eradicate
[00:26:12] our
[00:26:12] Thanksgiving
[00:26:13] holiday
[00:26:14] hello
[00:26:14] I'm
[00:26:15] Ron Edwards
[00:26:16] on today's
[00:26:17] page from
[00:26:17] the Edwards
[00:26:17] Notebook
[00:26:18] as a
[00:26:19] little
[00:26:19] boy
[00:26:19] growing up
[00:26:19] in
[00:26:20] Cleveland
[00:26:20] my dad
[00:26:21] taught me
[00:26:21] about
[00:26:21] the
[00:26:22] importance
[00:26:22] of
[00:26:22] Thanksgiving
[00:26:23] he
[00:26:23] often
[00:26:24] reminded
[00:26:24] me
[00:26:24] that
[00:26:24] although
[00:26:25] there
[00:26:25] are
[00:26:25] those
[00:26:26] who
[00:26:26] hate
[00:26:26] our
[00:26:26] republic
[00:26:27] but
[00:26:27] for
[00:26:27] some
[00:26:28] reason
[00:26:28] never
[00:26:28] have
[00:26:29] the
[00:26:29] intestinal
[00:26:29] fortitude
[00:26:30] to leave
[00:26:30] but we
[00:26:31] the people
[00:26:31] are blessed
[00:26:32] to have
[00:26:33] been born
[00:26:33] in this
[00:26:34] land
[00:26:34] of plenty
[00:26:34] where our
[00:26:35] bill
[00:26:35] of rights
[00:26:36] enumerates
[00:26:36] our
[00:26:36] unalienable
[00:26:37] rights
[00:26:37] and the
[00:26:38] constitution
[00:26:38] places
[00:26:39] restraints
[00:26:40] on government
[00:26:41] or is
[00:26:41] supposed to
[00:26:42] dad
[00:26:43] would
[00:26:43] also
[00:26:43] talk
[00:26:43] to
[00:26:43] me
[00:26:43] about
[00:26:44] great
[00:26:44] Americans
[00:26:44] like
[00:26:45] the
[00:26:45] pilgrims
[00:26:45] and
[00:26:46] Abraham
[00:26:46] Lincoln
[00:26:46] who
[00:26:47] were
[00:26:47] motivated
[00:26:48] to
[00:26:48] declare
[00:26:48] days
[00:26:49] of
[00:26:49] thanksgiving
[00:26:50] and
[00:26:50] prayer
[00:26:50] and
[00:26:51] other
[00:26:51] great
[00:26:51] Americans
[00:26:52] like
[00:26:52] Frederick
[00:26:52] Douglas
[00:26:53] who
[00:26:53] grew
[00:26:53] to
[00:26:53] love
[00:26:54] and
[00:26:54] give
[00:26:54] thanks
[00:26:55] for
[00:26:55] being
[00:26:55] in
[00:26:55] America
[00:26:56] despite
[00:26:56] the
[00:26:57] worldwide
[00:26:57] practice
[00:26:57] of
[00:27:13] happy
[00:27:13] thanksgiving
[00:27:15] i'm
[00:27:17] ron edwards
[00:27:18] on the
[00:27:22] call
[00:27:22] on the
[00:27:23] wall
[00:27:23] in the
[00:27:24] heart
[00:27:24] of
[00:27:25] struggle
[00:27:25] in the
[00:27:25] face
[00:27:26] of
[00:27:26] adversity
[00:27:26] and
[00:27:27] betrayal
[00:27:27] a
[00:27:28] thread
[00:27:28] of
[00:27:28] hope
[00:27:28] and
[00:27:29] faith
[00:27:29] created
[00:27:30] tapestry
[00:27:30] of
[00:27:31] triumph
[00:27:31] i'm
[00:27:32] denise
[00:27:33] edwards
[00:27:33] and i'm
[00:27:34] inviting
[00:27:34] you to
[00:27:35] take a
[00:27:35] look
[00:27:35] into
[00:27:35] the
[00:27:36] window
[00:27:36] of
[00:27:36] my
[00:27:36] life

[00:28:43] go together
[00:28:44] naturally
[00:28:44] because
[00:28:45] although as americans
[00:28:46] we have many things for which to be thankful
[00:28:48] none is more important
[00:28:50] than our liberty
[00:28:51] liberty
[00:28:53] that quality of government
[00:28:54] that brightness of mind and spirit
[00:28:57] for which the pilgrim fathers brave the seas
[00:28:59] and americans through two centuries have laid down their lives
[00:29:02] today
[00:29:04] while religion is suppressed in perhaps one third of the world
[00:29:07] we americans are free to worship the almighty as we choose
[00:29:11] while entire nations must endure the yoke of tyranny
[00:29:14] we are free to speak our minds
[00:29:17] to enjoy an unfettered and vigorous press
[00:29:20] and to make government abide by the limits we deem just
[00:29:24] while millions live behind walls
[00:29:26] we remain free to travel throughout the land
[00:29:29] to share this precious day with those we love most deeply
[00:29:33] the members of our families
[00:29:35] my fellow americans
[00:29:37] let us keep this thanksgiving day sacred
[00:29:39] let us thank god for the bounty and goodness of our nation
[00:29:43] and as a measure of our gratitude
[00:29:46] let us rededicate ourselves to the preservation of this
[00:29:49] the land of the free
[00:29:51] and the home of the brave
[00:29:53] happy thanksgiving and god bless you all
[00:29:58] that was the gipper
[00:30:00] my second favorite president
[00:30:03] one of only two good presidents in my entire lifetime
[00:30:05] the gipper ronald reagan and the other one
[00:30:08] well president trump
[00:30:10] well anyway folks you're listening to the ron delwitz american experience
[00:30:14] thanksgiving day edition our special guest today is william federer
[00:30:17] great american historian he knows a lot of stuff
[00:30:21] and uh looking at the chat room we've got amy
[00:30:24] and we've got pastor pete from great britain
[00:30:27] and amongst others thanks for tuning in
[00:30:30] and uh joining in the conversation via the chat room folks
[00:30:33] and let's get back with our guest
[00:30:35] um you know mr federer
[00:30:39] when when you look at
[00:30:41] in fact if i uh when you look at thanksgiving
[00:30:46] and the things you were saying before we went to break
[00:30:48] kind of reminded me of the story of the tofl
[00:30:51] when he came to america looking
[00:30:52] for the secret to her greatness
[00:30:56] and he realized
[00:30:58] that it was her morality
[00:31:00] and it is because of her high morality
[00:31:03] that the people would remain free
[00:31:05] and we were warned by the founders
[00:31:07] uh george washington in particular
[00:31:09] if i recall correctly
[00:31:11] that if we were to be a great nation
[00:31:13] we had to be a good people
[00:31:15] and um that's something that i think is
[00:31:19] very important for today
[00:31:20] if we we are going to be great again
[00:31:22] we've got to be good again
[00:31:24] let's say you
[00:31:26] yeah um the most common form of government
[00:31:29] in world history
[00:31:31] is kings
[00:31:32] nimrod pharaoh caesar kaiser sultan czar
[00:31:35] and a king is just a glorified gang leader
[00:31:38] the default setting for human government
[00:31:41] is gangs
[00:31:42] tribes clans
[00:31:43] and if you're friends with the gang leader
[00:31:45] you are more equal
[00:31:47] if you're not their friend
[00:31:49] you are less equal
[00:31:50] and if you're their enemy
[00:31:51] you're dead
[00:31:52] or you're a slave
[00:31:53] and that's the norm
[00:31:55] and as the centuries go on
[00:31:57] the kingdoms would get bigger
[00:31:58] because with the latest military advancements
[00:32:01] the gang leader kings could kill more people
[00:32:03] so instead of king killing able with a rock
[00:32:06] they could kill with a bronze weapon
[00:32:07] iron weapon
[00:32:08] phalanx spear
[00:32:09] the greeks had scimitar sword
[00:32:10] that the muslims had
[00:32:11] gunpowder that the chinese invented
[00:32:13] the weapon improves
[00:32:14] but it's that same fallen nature
[00:32:16] of king killing able
[00:32:17] um every now and then
[00:32:19] you get a good king
[00:32:20] and he wants to concentrate power
[00:32:22] so he can do good more efficiently
[00:32:24] but he doesn't live forever
[00:32:25] and at some point he passes all that
[00:32:27] concentrated power
[00:32:28] onto some son or grandson
[00:32:30] that's lousy
[00:32:30] and uses it oppressively
[00:32:32] oppressively
[00:32:33] uh the story in the bible is joseph
[00:32:35] he concentrates power
[00:32:36] into the hands of the pharaoh
[00:32:37] and what did that pharaoh do
[00:32:39] he fed the children of israel
[00:32:40] gave them the best land to go
[00:32:42] and gave them jobs
[00:32:43] taking care of his cattle
[00:32:44] but then there was a new pharaoh
[00:32:45] that did not know joseph
[00:32:47] he used all that concentrated power
[00:32:48] to enslave the jews
[00:32:50] make them throw their sons
[00:32:51] in the nile river
[00:32:52] and so that's the dilemma
[00:32:54] power wants to concentrate
[00:32:55] sort of like the movie
[00:32:56] the lord of the rings
[00:32:57] about right
[00:32:57] the ring wants to be found
[00:32:58] and so uh the first nation
[00:33:01] that ruled itself
[00:33:03] without a king
[00:33:03] was ancient israel
[00:33:05] and when they came out of egypt
[00:33:06] around 1400 bc
[00:33:08] and for four centuries
[00:33:09] no king
[00:33:10] it worked
[00:33:11] because every single citizen
[00:33:12] was taught
[00:33:13] the law
[00:33:14] and personally
[00:33:15] accountable to god
[00:33:16] to follow it
[00:33:17] so let's say you have an opportunity
[00:33:19] to steal
[00:33:19] nobody's around
[00:33:20] and then you think god's watching me
[00:33:22] he wants me to be fair
[00:33:23] he's going to hold me accountable
[00:33:25] in the future
[00:33:26] maybe i should hesitate stealing
[00:33:28] and it creates a tiny thing
[00:33:31] in your head
[00:33:31] called a conscience
[00:33:33] if everybody believes this
[00:33:35] you can maintain order
[00:33:36] with no police
[00:33:37] with no king
[00:33:39] right
[00:33:39] and it worked for four centuries
[00:33:41] in israel
[00:33:41] until the priest went woke
[00:33:43] and stopped teaching the law
[00:33:44] and every man did
[00:33:44] what's right
[00:33:45] in their own eyes
[00:33:46] and you have
[00:33:47] levites
[00:33:47] with silver graven images
[00:33:49] and eli the high priest
[00:33:50] his own sons
[00:33:51] are sleeping with women
[00:33:52] in the tent
[00:33:53] where the ark of the covenant is
[00:33:54] and another levite
[00:33:55] has a concubine
[00:33:56] that gets raped to death
[00:33:57] by a bunch of sodomites
[00:33:58] and by the time
[00:33:59] you're grossed out
[00:34:00] you read the line
[00:34:00] every man did that
[00:34:02] which was right
[00:34:02] in their own eyes
[00:34:03] and you know
[00:34:04] something else
[00:34:05] that ties in
[00:34:05] with what you were talking about
[00:34:08] how the people of israel
[00:34:10] they were self-governed
[00:34:11] basically
[00:34:12] because they had
[00:34:13] the conscience
[00:34:13] and for those four centuries
[00:34:15] they also had
[00:34:17] what was called
[00:34:18] personal responsibility
[00:34:19] remember when jethro
[00:34:20] went to moses
[00:34:22] and he said
[00:34:23] hey wait a minute
[00:34:24] you don't have to be
[00:34:25] the only one
[00:34:26] to listen to this
[00:34:27] I think it was
[00:34:27] about three million people
[00:34:28] you'll talk yourself
[00:34:31] to death
[00:34:32] trying to solve
[00:34:33] all these problems
[00:34:34] and he was instructed
[00:34:36] to get
[00:34:36] to
[00:34:37] get men
[00:34:38] of
[00:34:39] not renowned
[00:34:41] but of high moral character
[00:34:42] to be
[00:34:44] over
[00:34:46] groups
[00:34:46] and to
[00:34:47] break things down
[00:34:49] all the way
[00:34:49] down to groups
[00:34:50] of I believe
[00:34:51] 50
[00:34:52] and so therefore
[00:34:53] took a lot of the load
[00:34:54] off of one man
[00:34:55] meaning moses
[00:34:57] and it broke it up
[00:34:58] and there was
[00:34:58] even more responsibility
[00:35:00] throughout the community
[00:35:01] and
[00:35:03] it did work very well
[00:35:04] for some time
[00:35:05] didn't it
[00:35:06] yeah
[00:35:07] and that story
[00:35:08] you brought up
[00:35:08] is one of the most
[00:35:09] important things
[00:35:10] in the old testament
[00:35:11] Israel
[00:35:12] was the first nation
[00:35:14] without a king
[00:35:16] that verse
[00:35:17] Moses
[00:35:18] the Lord tells Moses
[00:35:21] choose men
[00:35:22] that are not covetousness
[00:35:24] you can't bribe them
[00:35:25] right
[00:35:26] and
[00:35:27] when the children of Israel
[00:35:29] go into the promised land
[00:35:30] they are to choose
[00:35:31] these men
[00:35:31] for each village
[00:35:33] and every town
[00:35:34] and so
[00:35:35] it wasn't a king
[00:35:36] who sent a representative
[00:35:38] with an army
[00:35:39] into the town
[00:35:39] saying you gotta
[00:35:40] obey this guy
[00:35:41] no it was the people
[00:35:42] and
[00:35:43] they basically
[00:35:44] elected him
[00:35:44] it was an election process
[00:35:47] the people that hate
[00:35:48] covetousness
[00:35:49] and so forth
[00:35:49] and so
[00:35:50] it was a bottom up
[00:35:51] government
[00:35:53] and
[00:35:53] and the Levites job
[00:35:55] was to teach everybody
[00:35:56] the law
[00:35:56] I
[00:35:57] like
[00:35:58] like illustrations
[00:35:59] and so
[00:36:00] the law
[00:36:01] in a sense
[00:36:02] is like
[00:36:02] an app
[00:36:03] for your phone
[00:36:04] everybody has a GPS app
[00:36:06] and you can get from
[00:36:07] point A to point B
[00:36:08] all by yourself
[00:36:09] just because you have this app
[00:36:10] well think of the law
[00:36:11] as a behavioral app
[00:36:14] and
[00:36:14] and
[00:36:15] it tells you how to act
[00:36:17] in real time
[00:36:17] so let's say
[00:36:18] you're
[00:36:19] it's monitoring your blood pressure
[00:36:21] and your voice volume
[00:36:22] and it sees somebody's
[00:36:23] in the close vicinity
[00:36:24] and it runs this algorithm
[00:36:25] you're about to lose your temper
[00:36:27] and it sends you
[00:36:27] an alert
[00:36:29] don't lose your temper
[00:36:30] it's like okay
[00:36:31] okay
[00:36:31] I'll count down
[00:36:32] and then it checks
[00:36:33] your bank account
[00:36:34] and
[00:36:34] and then it sees GPS
[00:36:36] that you're in a store
[00:36:37] and nobody's in the vicinity
[00:36:38] and there's really expensive items
[00:36:39] in the store
[00:36:40] runs this algorithm
[00:36:41] you're being tempted to steal
[00:36:42] it sends you an alert
[00:36:43] don't steal
[00:36:44] so the law
[00:36:45] is like a behavioral app
[00:36:47] and the Levi
[00:36:48] toward the computer geeks
[00:36:49] that help you to
[00:36:49] to download it
[00:36:50] but the question is
[00:36:51] why would you follow it
[00:36:52] well
[00:36:53] there's a God
[00:36:54] who's watching everyone
[00:36:55] he wants you to be fair
[00:36:57] accountable
[00:36:57] right
[00:36:58] so nobody's around
[00:36:59] you can
[00:37:00] if you're tempted to steal
[00:37:01] then you think God's watching
[00:37:02] he wants me to be fair
[00:37:03] he can hold me accountable
[00:37:04] maybe I should hesitate
[00:37:05] stealing
[00:37:06] create something in your head
[00:37:07] called a conscience
[00:37:08] and
[00:37:09] and it worked
[00:37:11] until the priest
[00:37:12] stopped teaching the law
[00:37:12] every man did
[00:37:13] which are in their own eyes
[00:37:14] turns into chaos
[00:37:15] and they all ask for a king
[00:37:16] and
[00:37:17] the kings of Europe
[00:37:18] looked to the Bible
[00:37:18] but they looked to the
[00:37:20] King Saul and Awn
[00:37:21] part of the Bible
[00:37:21] divine right of kings
[00:37:22] I'm the royal gang leader
[00:37:23] and the
[00:37:25] Puritans and pilgrims
[00:37:26] that founded New England
[00:37:27] looked to the pre-Kings
[00:37:28] all part of the Bible
[00:37:29] why is this important
[00:37:31] Romans 13
[00:37:32] the verse that
[00:37:33] says
[00:37:34] let everyone be subject
[00:37:34] to the governing authority
[00:37:35] Romans 13
[00:37:37] is understood differently
[00:37:39] in a monarchy
[00:37:40] versus a republic
[00:37:41] in a monarchy
[00:37:43] subjects
[00:37:43] submit to the king
[00:37:45] in a republic
[00:37:46] the citizens
[00:37:47] are the king
[00:37:48] the word citizen
[00:37:50] comes from the Greek
[00:37:50] it means co-ruler
[00:37:51] co-sovereign
[00:37:52] co-king
[00:37:53] and so
[00:37:54] so King Saul
[00:37:55] is like the divider
[00:37:56] between England
[00:37:57] and America
[00:37:58] pilgrims and Puritans
[00:38:00] look to the pre-King Saul
[00:38:01] and the kings of Europe
[00:38:03] look to the King Saul
[00:38:04] and so this experiment
[00:38:07] of self-government
[00:38:08] is what the
[00:38:09] we look to the pilgrims
[00:38:11] for
[00:38:11] and that became
[00:38:12] a model for New England
[00:38:13] where you literally
[00:38:14] had churches
[00:38:15] founding cities
[00:38:16] Providence, Rhode Island
[00:38:18] was founded by
[00:38:19] the first Baptist church
[00:38:21] in America
[00:38:21] and their pastor
[00:38:22] Roger Williams
[00:38:23] and the
[00:38:24] Thomas Hooker
[00:38:26] as a pastor
[00:38:26] and the first
[00:38:27] congregationalist church
[00:38:28] in America
[00:38:29] founded Hartford, Connecticut
[00:38:31] everybody's involved
[00:38:32] in church
[00:38:33] everybody's involved
[00:38:34] in city government
[00:38:34] because it's the church
[00:38:36] founding the city
[00:38:37] there's like no
[00:38:38] non-church members
[00:38:39] there to be lazy
[00:38:40] and let them run stuff
[00:38:42] everybody's involved
[00:38:42] in church
[00:38:43] everybody's involved
[00:38:43] in politics
[00:38:44] right
[00:38:44] and they had one
[00:38:46] building in every town
[00:38:47] called the meeting house
[00:38:49] that's where the pastor
[00:38:50] would teach the Bible
[00:38:51] and that's where
[00:38:52] they'd do their city business
[00:38:53] and the word politics
[00:38:55] just comes
[00:38:56] from the word polis
[00:38:58] which means city
[00:38:59] like Indianapolis
[00:39:00] and so politics
[00:39:02] is simply the business
[00:39:02] of the city
[00:39:03] and all there was
[00:39:04] in the city of Hartford
[00:39:04] was the first
[00:39:05] congregationalist church
[00:39:06] and so that was
[00:39:08] the model
[00:39:09] that goes back
[00:39:10] to the pilgrims
[00:39:11] that goes back
[00:39:12] to the reformation
[00:39:13] goes back to this
[00:39:14] first 400 year period
[00:39:16] out of Egypt
[00:39:16] so that's why
[00:39:17] they taught Hebrew
[00:39:18] at Yale and Harvard
[00:39:20] and it's a fascinating
[00:39:22] part
[00:39:23] that we
[00:39:24] you know
[00:39:25] overlook
[00:39:26] and we realize
[00:39:27] that hey
[00:39:27] America's an experiment
[00:39:28] of bottom up
[00:39:30] government
[00:39:31] versus top down
[00:39:32] government
[00:39:34] it's the difference
[00:39:35] between a living tree
[00:39:36] where every root
[00:39:37] and every little
[00:39:38] tiny capillary root
[00:39:39] sucks in nutrients
[00:39:40] to keep the tree alive
[00:39:41] bottom up
[00:39:42] versus a dead pyramid
[00:39:43] rolled top down
[00:39:44] by some
[00:39:45] big government
[00:39:46] you know
[00:39:47] Pharaoh
[00:39:47] Caesar
[00:39:48] president
[00:39:48] ruling through mandates
[00:39:49] and executive orders
[00:39:50] and so we
[00:39:53] we're
[00:39:54] this
[00:39:55] and we look back
[00:39:56] to the pilgrims
[00:39:57] because they introduced
[00:39:57] it
[00:39:59] they were going to
[00:40:00] go to Jamestown
[00:40:00] and submit to the
[00:40:01] king's government
[00:40:02] but they get blown
[00:40:02] off course
[00:40:03] and land in
[00:40:03] Massachusetts
[00:40:05] and they say
[00:40:05] wait a second
[00:40:06] we can't just
[00:40:07] get off the boat
[00:40:07] and be lawless
[00:40:08] so they take
[00:40:09] their covenant
[00:40:09] church form
[00:40:10] of government
[00:40:10] and they make
[00:40:11] it their civil
[00:40:12] government
[00:40:12] we in the
[00:40:14] presence of God
[00:40:14] covenant
[00:40:15] ourselves
[00:40:15] together
[00:40:16] into a
[00:40:17] civil body
[00:40:17] politic
[00:40:18] a church
[00:40:19] group
[00:40:19] forming itself
[00:40:20] into a
[00:40:20] political
[00:40:21] group
[00:40:21] in the
[00:40:21] womb
[00:40:21] of the
[00:40:22] Mayflowers
[00:40:22] conceived
[00:40:22] the child
[00:40:23] of self
[00:40:23] government
[00:40:23] so you know
[00:40:25] the founders
[00:40:25] for all their
[00:40:26] faults
[00:40:26] they gave us
[00:40:27] a present
[00:40:28] and the present
[00:40:29] is we get to be
[00:40:29] in charge
[00:40:31] and so
[00:40:32] the pledge
[00:40:32] leads us
[00:40:33] to the flag
[00:40:33] and to the
[00:40:34] republic
[00:40:34] and I believe
[00:40:36] we are in the
[00:40:36] process of taking
[00:40:37] back our
[00:40:38] control
[00:40:39] as the people
[00:40:40] of the United
[00:40:41] States of America
[00:40:42] but we
[00:40:43] we must
[00:40:44] remain
[00:40:44] a thankful
[00:40:45] people
[00:40:46] in my humble
[00:40:46] opinion
[00:40:47] and we've only
[00:40:48] got about 30
[00:40:48] more seconds
[00:40:49] together
[00:40:49] any last
[00:40:50] words
[00:40:51] concerning
[00:40:52] Thanksgiving
[00:40:53] today
[00:40:54] or
[00:40:55] as we come
[00:40:56] to a close
[00:40:56] on this
[00:40:57] segment
[00:40:58] yeah
[00:40:59] so all
[00:41:00] of what I
[00:41:01] said is in a
[00:41:02] book called
[00:41:02] The Treacherous
[00:41:03] World of the
[00:41:03] 16th Century
[00:41:04] and how the
[00:41:05] pilgrims escaped
[00:41:05] it
[00:41:06] and my
[00:41:07] website's
[00:41:07] AmericanMinute.com
[00:41:09] and I go into
[00:41:10] how Squanto
[00:41:11] the Indian
[00:41:12] helped the
[00:41:12] pilgrims survive
[00:41:13] I go through
[00:41:14] one of the
[00:41:14] pilgrim ships
[00:41:15] was captured
[00:41:15] by Muslim
[00:41:16] pirates
[00:41:16] and taken
[00:41:17] to Morocco
[00:41:17] I go through
[00:41:18] how they tried
[00:41:19] communism
[00:41:19] and everything
[00:41:20] in common
[00:41:20] but then they
[00:41:21] scrapped it
[00:41:21] and gave
[00:41:22] everybody
[00:41:22] their own
[00:41:22] plot of land
[00:41:23] a lot of
[00:41:24] the things
[00:41:24] we wrestle
[00:41:24] with today
[00:41:25] they even
[00:41:26] wrestled
[00:41:26] way back
[00:41:27] then
[00:41:28] yeah
[00:41:28] and I think
[00:41:29] we're going
[00:41:30] to overcome
[00:41:30] them as they
[00:41:31] did back
[00:41:31] then too
[00:41:33] Mr.
[00:41:33] Federer I want
[00:41:34] to thank you
[00:41:34] so much for
[00:41:34] joining us
[00:41:35] and happy
[00:41:36] Thanksgiving to
[00:41:37] you and yours
[00:41:37] and we look
[00:41:38] forward to our
[00:41:39] next visit
[00:41:41] happy Thanksgiving
[00:41:42] to you Ron
[00:41:43] and all the
[00:41:43] listeners
[00:41:43] thank you so
[00:41:45] much
[00:41:45] folks we'll be

[00:44:55] highest
[00:44:56] honor of
[00:44:56] my life
[00:44:57] to serve

[00:44:58] and we're

[00:45:11] to share a bit
[00:45:12] of thanksgiving
[00:45:14] history
[00:45:15] my friends
[00:45:16] is america
[00:45:17] worth saving
[00:45:18] we're beginning
[00:45:20] to see the fury
[00:45:21] of the left
[00:45:21] as they realize
[00:45:23] that president
[00:45:24] trump means
[00:45:24] business
[00:45:25] as many
[00:45:26] as many
[00:45:26] of us
[00:45:26] do
[00:45:27] he is
[00:45:28] not fooling
[00:45:28] around
[00:45:29] he intends
[00:45:29] to fulfill
[00:45:30] as many
[00:45:31] campaign
[00:45:31] promises
[00:45:32] as possible
[00:45:33] so as we
[00:45:35] celebrate this
[00:45:36] thanksgiving day
[00:45:37] we must
[00:45:37] remember
[00:45:38] that we've
[00:45:39] got to roll
[00:45:39] back up
[00:45:40] our sleeves
[00:45:41] in just a few
[00:45:42] days and get
[00:45:43] back to the
[00:45:44] work of
[00:45:45] restoring this
[00:45:46] great republic
[00:45:50] now president
[00:45:51] trump has a
[00:45:51] 47 point
[00:45:53] plan which
[00:45:54] will restructure
[00:45:55] and overhaul
[00:45:55] the entire
[00:45:56] government
[00:45:57] heaven knows
[00:45:58] we need
[00:45:59] that
[00:46:00] but as of
[00:46:01] now his
[00:46:01] focus is on
[00:46:02] 10 points
[00:46:03] in this plan
[00:46:04] to destroy
[00:46:04] the deep
[00:46:05] state
[00:46:06] but he needs
[00:46:07] our help
[00:46:07] if the plan
[00:46:09] is to succeed
[00:46:10] our help
[00:46:11] comes in the
[00:46:12] form of
[00:46:12] explanation
[00:46:13] education
[00:46:14] oversight
[00:46:15] and i'll add
[00:46:15] a bit of
[00:46:16] prayer
[00:46:17] we must
[00:46:18] pick a topic
[00:46:18] become experts
[00:46:19] and become
[00:46:20] buddies with
[00:46:21] our legislators
[00:46:21] we must
[00:46:23] watch
[00:46:23] and guide
[00:46:24] them into
[00:46:25] making
[00:46:26] mega decisions
[00:46:27] so far
[00:46:28] with few
[00:46:29] exceptions
[00:46:29] i like
[00:46:30] his cabinet
[00:46:31] picks
[00:46:32] there's about
[00:46:33] three that
[00:46:33] i'm not happy
[00:46:34] with and
[00:46:34] i'll get into
[00:46:35] that a bit
[00:46:36] later maybe
[00:46:37] and one of
[00:46:38] trump's goals
[00:46:39] is to get
[00:46:39] rid of the
[00:46:40] department of
[00:46:40] indoctrination
[00:46:41] you know it
[00:46:42] as the
[00:46:42] department of
[00:46:43] education
[00:46:44] i have
[00:46:45] been
[00:46:46] after that
[00:46:47] goal since
[00:46:48] man
[00:46:49] ever
[00:46:51] and we've
[00:46:52] watched for
[00:46:53] over 20
[00:46:53] years
[00:46:54] education
[00:46:54] has changed
[00:46:55] in this
[00:46:56] country
[00:46:56] into
[00:46:57] indoctrination
[00:46:57] and america's
[00:46:59] children
[00:46:59] became dumber
[00:47:00] to the points
[00:47:02] in many cases
[00:47:03] just plain stupid
[00:47:04] today we are a
[00:47:06] nation of
[00:47:07] functional
[00:47:07] illiterates
[00:47:09] it bothers
[00:47:10] me to
[00:47:11] high heaven
[00:47:11] to see the
[00:47:13] result in
[00:47:14] our american
[00:47:14] children
[00:47:15] this is the
[00:47:16] first time that
[00:47:17] i believe that
[00:47:17] we can make a
[00:47:18] difference a
[00:47:19] real difference
[00:47:21] if we will
[00:47:21] first come
[00:47:22] together and
[00:47:23] give thanks for
[00:47:24] this wonderful
[00:47:24] land we call
[00:47:25] the united
[00:47:25] states of
[00:47:26] america
[00:47:27] we can
[00:47:28] right the
[00:47:29] ship we
[00:47:30] can turn
[00:47:31] the tables
[00:47:31] we do not
[00:47:33] have to go
[00:47:33] into the
[00:47:34] iceberg of
[00:47:35] history
[00:47:37] i've heard
[00:47:38] from so
[00:47:38] many that
[00:47:39] we can't
[00:47:40] get rid of
[00:47:41] the the
[00:47:41] do ed
[00:47:43] known as
[00:47:44] the department
[00:47:45] of education
[00:47:45] but i believe
[00:47:47] we can
[00:47:49] so let's
[00:47:50] take a look
[00:47:50] at education
[00:47:51] and what can
[00:47:52] be done
[00:47:53] now there
[00:47:54] was a man
[00:47:56] a very
[00:47:57] detestable
[00:47:57] sort
[00:47:59] president
[00:47:59] lyndon
[00:48:00] baines
[00:48:00] johnson who
[00:48:01] signed the
[00:48:02] elementary and
[00:48:03] secondary education
[00:48:04] act a law
[00:48:05] that provided
[00:48:05] funding to
[00:48:06] support equal
[00:48:07] access to
[00:48:08] education
[00:48:09] in 1965
[00:48:11] establishing title
[00:48:12] one which
[00:48:12] aims to
[00:48:13] support education
[00:48:14] of students
[00:48:15] living in
[00:48:15] poverty
[00:48:16] he lied
[00:48:17] like a rug
[00:48:18] as the bill
[00:48:19] was designed
[00:48:19] to train
[00:48:20] not educate
[00:48:21] and basically
[00:48:24] even before
[00:48:24] that in the
[00:48:26] most impoverished
[00:48:27] schools in
[00:48:28] america if you
[00:48:29] went to school
[00:48:29] you did learn
[00:48:30] by the way
[00:48:31] an impoverished
[00:48:33] child in
[00:48:34] 1965 or
[00:48:36] before then
[00:48:37] learned much
[00:48:38] more than
[00:48:40] the average
[00:48:40] student learns
[00:48:41] today in the
[00:48:42] united states
[00:48:43] under pressure
[00:48:45] from the
[00:48:45] nea the
[00:48:45] national
[00:48:46] education
[00:48:46] association
[00:48:47] that communist
[00:48:48] organization the
[00:48:49] department of
[00:48:50] education was
[00:48:50] created in
[00:48:52] 1975 by
[00:48:53] gimme jimmy
[00:48:54] carter
[00:48:54] until 1979
[00:48:56] it existed
[00:48:57] below the
[00:48:57] cabinet level
[00:48:58] as an office
[00:48:59] in the
[00:48:59] department of
[00:49:00] the interior
[00:49:00] another department
[00:49:02] that needs to be
[00:49:02] gotten rid of
[00:49:04] the department
[00:49:05] of ed act
[00:49:06] 1979 created
[00:49:09] the department
[00:49:09] of education
[00:49:10] using taxing
[00:49:11] and spending
[00:49:12] clause
[00:49:12] commerce
[00:49:13] clause
[00:49:13] and the
[00:49:14] promote
[00:49:14] general welfare
[00:49:16] congress used
[00:49:17] as justification
[00:49:18] to create
[00:49:20] that boondoggle
[00:49:22] according to
[00:49:23] the education
[00:49:23] code the
[00:49:24] federal education
[00:49:24] department does
[00:49:25] not decide
[00:49:25] what schools
[00:49:26] can and
[00:49:27] cannot teach
[00:49:28] that is to
[00:49:28] be determined
[00:49:29] by the
[00:49:29] state
[00:49:29] lawmakers
[00:49:30] and local
[00:49:31] school boards
[00:49:32] it also does
[00:49:33] not allocate
[00:49:33] most of the
[00:49:34] funding that
[00:49:35] schools receive
[00:49:35] which primarily
[00:49:36] comes from
[00:49:37] state and
[00:49:37] local funding
[00:49:38] formulas
[00:49:39] k-12
[00:49:40] curriculum
[00:49:41] authority
[00:49:42] requirements
[00:49:42] and statutes
[00:49:43] in the
[00:49:44] states
[00:49:44] now state
[00:49:45] or local
[00:49:46] education
[00:49:46] officials
[00:49:47] develop
[00:49:47] k-12
[00:49:48] curriculum
[00:49:48] for
[00:49:49] classroom
[00:49:50] instruction
[00:49:50] that
[00:49:51] generally
[00:49:51] includes
[00:49:52] lessons
[00:49:52] and materials
[00:49:53] used
[00:49:53] in a
[00:49:54] particular
[00:49:55] course
[00:49:55] of study
[00:49:56] and the
[00:49:57] development
[00:49:57] of the
[00:49:57] k-12
[00:49:58] curriculum
[00:49:58] and government
[00:49:59] schools
[00:50:00] varied across
[00:50:01] 50 states
[00:50:02] at this time
[00:50:03] america was
[00:50:04] a top 10
[00:50:05] nation
[00:50:05] worldwide
[00:50:07] today
[00:50:09] america is
[00:50:10] barely in the
[00:50:10] top 30
[00:50:12] in my humble
[00:50:13] opinion i think
[00:50:14] she's far below
[00:50:14] 30 and they
[00:50:15] keep saying
[00:50:16] that we're in
[00:50:17] the top 30
[00:50:17] to try to
[00:50:18] make us feel
[00:50:18] good about
[00:50:19] ourselves
[00:50:21] the u.s
[00:50:22] department of
[00:50:22] education
[00:50:23] is the
[00:50:23] agency
[00:50:23] of the
[00:50:24] federal
[00:50:24] government
[00:50:25] that
[00:50:25] establishes
[00:50:26] policy
[00:50:26] for
[00:50:26] administers
[00:50:27] and
[00:50:27] coordinates
[00:50:28] most
[00:50:28] federal
[00:50:28] assistance
[00:50:29] to
[00:50:29] education
[00:50:31] before i
[00:50:32] go any
[00:50:32] further
[00:50:33] it is
[00:50:33] my humble
[00:50:33] belief
[00:50:34] that
[00:50:34] the money
[00:50:35] that is
[00:50:36] taken
[00:50:36] from state
[00:50:37] and local
[00:50:38] authorities
[00:50:40] should be
[00:50:40] left right
[00:50:41] there in the
[00:50:41] states
[00:50:42] because
[00:50:42] for every
[00:50:43] dollar you
[00:50:44] send to
[00:50:44] washington
[00:50:45] you only
[00:50:45] get about
[00:50:45] 75 cents
[00:50:47] back
[00:50:47] if you're
[00:50:47] lucky
[00:50:48] actually now
[00:50:48] it's less
[00:50:49] than that
[00:50:50] and so why
[00:50:51] not keep the
[00:50:52] money right
[00:50:52] there in the
[00:50:53] various states
[00:50:53] so automatically
[00:50:54] there would be
[00:50:55] more money
[00:50:56] available for
[00:50:57] education since
[00:50:58] they're always
[00:50:58] running around
[00:50:59] saying we
[00:50:59] need more
[00:51:00] money we
[00:51:00] need more
[00:51:01] money help
[00:51:02] us help
[00:51:02] us help
[00:51:02] us which
[00:51:03] in itself is
[00:51:04] a big fat
[00:51:05] lie bull
[00:51:06] capital s with
[00:51:06] a head
[00:51:08] because by the
[00:51:09] way the
[00:51:09] united states
[00:51:10] spends much
[00:51:11] more on
[00:51:11] education per
[00:51:12] child than
[00:51:13] any other
[00:51:14] nation on
[00:51:15] earth in the
[00:51:16] history of the
[00:51:17] planet so it's
[00:51:18] not about the
[00:51:19] money folks it's
[00:51:20] the methodology
[00:51:22] and so it is
[00:51:23] because of the
[00:51:24] indoctrination in
[00:51:26] government schools
[00:51:27] that most
[00:51:27] american students
[00:51:28] do not understand
[00:51:29] nor appreciate
[00:51:30] this great holiday
[00:51:32] that we celebrate
[00:51:33] called thanksgiving
[00:51:33] they don't
[00:51:35] understand the
[00:51:35] sacrifices that
[00:51:36] were made nor
[00:51:37] do they care
[00:51:38] about it that
[00:51:39] they do hear
[00:51:39] about it
[00:51:41] many students
[00:51:42] turn into
[00:51:43] nitwits
[00:51:45] like this
[00:51:46] liberal
[00:51:46] group of
[00:51:47] women that
[00:51:48] i'm looking
[00:51:48] at on the
[00:51:49] shores of
[00:51:49] lake michigan
[00:51:50] screaming the
[00:51:51] high heaven
[00:51:53] they're just
[00:51:53] screaming they're
[00:51:54] just standing
[00:51:54] there screaming
[00:51:56] and you know
[00:51:57] why they're
[00:51:58] screaming
[00:51:58] because president
[00:52:00] trump was
[00:52:01] elected
[00:52:03] yeah it's
[00:52:04] hilarious when
[00:52:04] you look at
[00:52:05] it but it's
[00:52:06] sad because
[00:52:07] of the
[00:52:08] indoctrination in
[00:52:09] our government
[00:52:09] schools we have
[00:52:11] so much to be
[00:52:12] thankful in
[00:52:13] this country
[00:52:13] even in
[00:52:14] these troubled
[00:52:14] times and
[00:52:16] we are in
[00:52:17] a heap of
[00:52:18] trouble we
[00:52:19] still have a
[00:52:20] lot to be
[00:52:20] thankful for
[00:52:21] and one of
[00:52:22] the ways
[00:52:22] that we
[00:52:23] can have
[00:52:24] this nation
[00:52:25] turned around
[00:52:25] is to step
[00:52:27] forward with
[00:52:28] an attitude of
[00:52:29] gratitude to
[00:52:30] our creator
[00:52:31] when he sees
[00:52:32] that you are
[00:52:33] thankful and
[00:52:34] remorseful for
[00:52:35] allowing all
[00:52:36] this crapola to
[00:52:37] happen guess
[00:52:38] what he hears
[00:52:39] your prayers
[00:52:41] from heaven
[00:52:42] he will turn
[00:52:42] around and
[00:52:43] heal your
[00:52:44] land
[00:52:45] and I think
[00:52:46] this is the
[00:52:46] perfect time to
[00:52:47] reach out to
[00:52:48] heaven and to
[00:52:49] thank him
[00:52:51] happy thanksgiving
[00:52:52] one and all
[00:52:54] I'm Ron Edwards
[00:52:55] and now that I
[00:52:56] see that my
[00:52:56] time is up on
[00:52:57] this thanksgiving
[00:52:58] thank you so
[00:52:59] much for your
[00:53:00] time
[00:53:04] that's all
[00:53:05] folks
[00:53:05] tags that
[00:53:06] states right
[00:53:10] yes and as I
[00:53:11] always say at
[00:53:12] this time
[00:53:13] remember
[00:53:15] remember my
[00:53:16] friends to
[00:53:17] pray for your
[00:53:17] family your
[00:53:18] friends your
[00:53:19] nation and
[00:53:20] even your
[00:53:21] enemies and
[00:53:21] treat others the
[00:53:22] same way you
[00:53:23] would want to be
[00:53:23] treated that's
[00:53:24] the golden rule
[00:53:25] in fact the
[00:53:26] ten commandments
[00:53:26] I'm Ron Edwards
[00:53:28] until next time
[00:53:29] bye now
