Hello, I'm Ron Edwards and welcome to this edition of the Ron Edwards American Experienced Talk Show. And boy, we have a very interesting show in line up for you today. First of all, just want to take a minute to acknowledge the passing of Hulk Hogan, great American wrestler and patriot and promoter of America, and he will be duly missed. I thought he was a great character and a fun guy and you name it. He was a great I just thought he was a great American, a great personality, very positive, and he will be sorely missed in our society. But it is what it is and we must continue to march on. Well, in other news, we see that, you know, the craziness just continues with these democrats, doesn't it. Those individuals, They just refuse to back up from their madness. Which which way do we go here? Okay? Now, we know that Tulci Gabbett has released another intel report on how the Ali Obama administration manufactured the Russia Russia claims against the President Trump's Trump Rather and you know, they just I was looking at an interview today with the that they replayed with the Clapper, and the guy's just sitting there with a straight face. Oh no, this is just ridiculous. We did nothing despite the fact that there is evidence that these people, I mean, this makes Watergate look like nothing. And when you really check into it, in the grand scheme of things, many things that have happened since the days of Watergate, Watergate really wasn't that big of a deal when you really check into it, and a lot of it. The volition behind Watergate, a lot of people don't know this is that they wanted to wipe Nixon off the face of the earth, or at least out of office, which they did because of some of the things good that he was doing behind the scenes. But a lot of people don't know that. And you know, because Nixon wasn't the most I guess, affable guy or whatever, and he wasn't a great communicator like Ronald Reagan or a great fighter like President Trump, so he basically got stomped on. His reputation was made worse than it really was. But that's for another day. We have a great yes today by the way. Her name is Carlo Wagner, and she is with an organization called ax My Tax, and she's going to be talking about how the elimination of property taxes that is something that should be brought to fruition. And I've always thought that the property taxes were wrong and they did not help in society, and a lot of people have been cond into believing that, well, there can't be any museums, we need property taxes for this, that and the other, and you know, it's just crazy. So we'll be talking to her after the break, and she doesn't affle a very great job improving how property taxes are not needed to run many things that they're utilized for now, because I just it's you know, property taxes, in my opinion, are similar to income taxes. They're unconstitutional. They shouldn't be We shouldn't have to pay income taxes, by the way, or property taxes. When you buy something, you should own it. You should not be pimped by the government after you buy something, and that if you don't pay this gangster government tax, they come and take it away from you. And by the way, that's on the communist manifesto. That's part of the communist way of gradually skimming away the wealth of the people and getting it into the hands of a certain or small percentage of people who use that wealth and power to rule over the rest of us and push us all further and further down. And they want us to basically live like serfs, which is totally the opposite of the original vision of the founding Fathers. Now, in other news, at least ten children ages between ten and I'm sorry two and fifteen, they were rescued after being held in a bunker and they have been raped and sexually tortured for three freaking years. Seven no good adults have been arrested in this sex trafficking ring. At least ten children and they were locked in an Alabama storm bunker and sexually tortured and trafficked by their parents for three years. The adults used animal shock collars in their torture of the children. The children were drugged and tortured. Investigators believed that they are more victims and perpetrators tied to the horrendous crime. Alabama police arrested seven suspects in the trafficking ring. More rest are upcoming. Man. This happened at Bibbs County in the beautiful state of Alabama. And trust me when I say this, there's a whole lot more cases like this happening all over the Republic. Let's not forget three hundred thousand children were bought in under the Uncle Joe Biden regime and lost. And what makes it even more heinous is that the children were given the phone number to call if there was something bad happening to them wherever they were taken. And when they call the number, all they get is a ring tone, ring, ring, no answer. But this is a part of the you know, part of the democratic machine, Democrat Party machine. Now a second court, another black robe gone while is ignoring a landmark Supreme Court ruling and issues a nationwide injunction. In a sixty three ruling late last month. You remember this, the Justice Amy Cony Barrett meance no words when it came to so called universal injunctions lower court rulings that extended far beyond that court's jurisdiction. She said it was unnecessary to consider whether Congress has constrained the judiciary. What matters is how the jujitiary may restrain constrain the executive, Barrett wrote in that decision that goes for judges. When the court concludes that the executive branch has acted unlawfully, the answer is not for the court to exceed its power to limit that executive action, especially when it is politically motivated. That decision, by the way, did not decide the merits of the case in which the universal injunction was issued. President Trump's administration has argued that the fourteenth Amendment does not grant birthright citizenship because those born to citizens of other countries within US borders are not among persons born in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof. And that is the truth, that is the God's honest truth. But yet it has been misconstrued by liberals who want to change the face of this country, the makeup of this country, and allow these anchor babies to just drop drop, drop, drop drop all over the place to the tune of millions, all because they want to shrink the percentage of the white population. Because overall, the white population is percentage wise the most patriotic of all the populations of the country percentage wise, and so that is the real reason behind the effort to shrink the white population by percentage by loading up with illegals. She's a Michigan real estate agent and small business owner who believes that property taxes are unaffordable for many residents, leading to home, farm and business losses and prompting people to leave the state and This is a movement that I humbly believe that should be made national because property taxes anywhere leads to government money stealing everywhere. Anyway, let's welcome Carla Wagner back to the run average American experience. Hello Carla, and welcome back. Hi Ron, how are you? Thank you for having. Me super duper It's been a long time, but yeah, let's get into it. There's a lot new members of the audience. Why don't you tell folks why you got involved in this effort and why you think it's very important to get rid of a property taxes. Well, you know what, Ron, and that changes every day. I mean, I know why I got into it. Everything I've done, like you said, I was a small business owner. I am a small business owner, a real estate agent, a builder, and amongst a couple of other things, I prepared tax returns for twelve years. I had my securities license, which men I could do stock trading, that kind of thing, did financial planning for people. And what I have seen, especially since during COVID, when everyone no one could work, but bills kept coming in, and the number one bill that kept coming in was the property tax bill. So for someone a small business owner, or even a homeowner, if you weren't able to work, like I couldn't do anything. I couldn't sell real estate, I couldn't build houses. My little restaurant couldn't be open, my little retail shop couldn't be open nothing. I couldn't make any money. And yet I had to pay the property taxes. And then I just and I thought, you know what, It's not just me, it's every it's every person. It's every homeowner that can't work. It's every landlow who was told you have to pay property taxes, but your renter doesn't have to pay rent. Remember that that happened during COVID. Renters didn't have to pay rent, but landlords still had to pay property tax. How do you do that? It's elderly people who are on a fixed income property taxes because their houses keep getting assessed higher, the property tax that they pay keeps increasing, and then we keep voting more milages on, we keep adding more millages. We really need to start voting no on every single millage to keep our property taxes low and affordable. Because they're so unaffordable. We have lost so many businesses and so many people out of Michigan, and it's really starting to affect the revenue in the state of Michigan. You know, we're losing the state income tax, we're losing sales tax, we're losing any kind of revenue is going lower and lower every day as we lose people in businesses. And so our governor, our current governor, she keeps wanting to raise taxes. Look at they're going to raise hunting and fishing licenses. They want to raise the gas tax, they want to she wants to keep raising taxes to make up for all of it that we're losing because these businesses and people are leaving Michigan. It's a mess. It's a mess. It is a mess. And there's one more reason why they continue with these awful property taxes, income taxes, you name it. The other reason is, you know, it's something that Klaus Schwab said, and he said, they want to make it so that we don't own anything and that we'll be happy. I really believe that. And that's why they remember when they they called it the graduated income tax. This, this, this is this is all in my humble opinion and methodology to drain away. Why do you think that even though they say that there's just unfettered prosperity. But yet the very very prosperous is a it's a very small percentage of the other country. What is it, five percent of the country owns eighty percent of the wealth. Yeah, very small. But you know what I and you know here in Michigan, they're trying to do that graduated income tax right they're going they want to bump up the income tax rate to people that make it. And you know what, that's just a bunch of book craft. They already pay more because they make more. You know, are you gonna are we You know, we can't. We can't be envious and jealous of people maybe because they either work harder than us, or maybe their family did or whatever else. You know, you'll be glad that they did. Because right now, the way the income taxes, everybody pays the same four point twenty five percent, that's the rate. But if you make a hundred bucks, you're going to pay less than somebody than it makes one hundred thousand, Right, So the person making one hundred thousand, why aren't they paying their fair share? They are paying their fair share one hundred thousand times four point twenty five is certainly more than one hundred thousand, certainly more than one hundred times four point two five, don't you think so. The fact that they're doing that is just again it goes to your point that they are doing everything they can. What they want to try and do is equalize us. But they can't and you never will because there's always going to be people that work harder than other people. There are always going to be people that have a higher IQ. That's just the way it is, right, I mean, I'm not saying that to be mean or rude or anything like that. It is the cream will rise to the crop, and there's always going to be more people that are going to be a little bit more ingenious and they're going to they're going to figure out how to do something. You know, the first caveman, you know, foes to death and the second cave man said, I'm going to learn how to build fire to stay warm. That, you know what, that there was just something in that caveman that gave him the idea to do that. But we're so right, what's happening here in the state of Michigan. They're trying to equalize us, and they're not going to equalize us and make us all rich. No, they're going to equalize us and make us all poor. Like you said, it's all an effort to standardize or equalize the wealth, and so that all of these unaffordable affordable housing units that they're building everywhere. I mean, just look at the gobs and gobs and gobs of taxpayer dollars that they are investing into unaffordable affordable multifamily units. So what they're going to do is tax you out of your single family home. You will no longer be able to afford a single family home. We will all be pushed into these multifamily units that they're building because they're not building. When they say affordable housing, that makes me cringe because it's not affordable houses, it's affordable multifamily. Yeah, think of that's and that's awful because they used to build affordable housing in a polite way. I remember years ago when they stuck an affordable apartment building in Birmingham, and that was bad enough, because to be honest with you, if I can't afford to live in Birmingham, I don't want to be there in a building like the one they built in Birmingham, and you know, and you know that it's an affordable building because it doesn't look like the rest of the building is. It doesn't have the same craftsmanship or the same beauty as the other other buildings. It's new, but you know, there's a big difference, and you know when you walk out, everyone will know that on your own you couldn't even be there anyway. And now they forced the issue by burning people out in Los Angeles or like they did in Hawaii, and now in both of those situations, they're they're building affordable housing cluster cluster houses, and so you're right on about this. This is so evil And. What concerns me. What concerns me around is I'm part of my local home builders Association and with the you know, I go to the some of the state meetings and conventions and things, and what I see is that the state, the state not only wants to be our landlord, the state wants to be the builder as well. So they're pushing a lot of them, the small home builders, you know, the small residential homebuilders that maybe make a living building six to eight to ten houses a year. They're pushing them right out of business. And the state is making the construction codes so difficult for single family homes, and I'm kind of wondering if they're going to maintain the same construction codes for these multifamilies because they can't make them affordable. If they're going to hold them to the same construction codes. Is what they're doing to these single family builders. But the problem is is that the state, the state is Michigan's largest employer, and that is unsustainable. We have a population where more and more of us are senior citizens, and we're retiring. Who's working to pay for those state workers, who's working to pay for those state workers' pensions, who's working to pay for those state workers' benefits and everything like that, right because it's all going to crumble. I am telling you this is unsustainable. The path that Michigan is on is unsustainable. And that is why we're near the bottom of everything that you can measure. We're at the bottom of the pile. We only have We can only go up. But what it will take is a total reset of the Michigan economy, which means we have to totally reset the mind the mindset, and put Michigan on sale. You know, if you want to sell more of Michigan. You need to put Michigan on sale if you want to attract more businesses, if you want to attract people to come back. To increase the revenue stream, you have to charge less in taxes, not more. More. More does not get you more. You know, less is more, right, And. The evidence of that is if you look around Michigan. Both Ohio and Indiana have lower taxes and lower or and slightly fewer regulations, and proportionately they are both more prosperous as economies. And we are friends in Ohio now that are that are starting to circulate a petition as well to remove to get rid of property taxes. And what scares me, this is what scares me more than anything, as we have two things we have people talking about, like Governor DeSantis, he's talking about the elimination of property tax, but I think he's only talking about it as far as homeowners, which means here's the thing. Property tax is a system, right, There's a mechanism called property tax. As long as that mechanism is in place, it will continue to be abused. So if we eliminate property taxes for own homeowners, everybody will go oh, great homeowners don't have to pay property tax anymore. But that leaves our farmers who operate as businesses. That leaves our farmers, that leaves our small business owners, our medium our large businesses. That leaves them holding the bag. So guess what we will lose more of our small businesses. We will have less corporations trying to come here right because the eighty percent of property taxes are currently paid by homeowners. So you if they take away that eighty percent, hold. Welcome back, Carla, And before we get started again, why did you tell folks how they can get a hold of you? And maybe because I think this is something that really needs to grow tremendously. We also have a volunteer form there, so if anyone would like to volunteer to help us circulate the petitions. That's what we're doing right now. We're circulating petitions to get this on the ballot in November twenty twenty six and so that people will have the opportunity to vote to eliminate property taxes in the state of Michigan. But we are you know, I think there's other states that definitely need to be doing this, and there are a few states and that our following suit and are working to eliminate property tax you know, one. Of the things. And I think we've talked about this before. It kind of blows my mind when I just think about it that when this is explained to people, a lot of them clutch their pearls and, oh, no, we can't get rid of property taxes because how we have our museums in our parks and ladi da di da, and there's that. In my humble opinion, that's a very simple there's a simple solution to all that. If it is a problem, what say you? Yeah, you know what? I think people have just been brainwashed into thinking that property taxes, that the whole state relies on property tax But then, but then I always ask them, then, then why do you think you're paying all those other taxes? You know, you pay state income tax, we pay a corporate business tax if you're a company, you pay sales tax, you pay lottery tax, you pay alcohol, marijuana and tobacco taxes. You pay a real estate transfer tax. There's multiple other taxes that we pay, and fines and fees. Why do you where do they think that money goes? If they think that property taxes pays for everything and the state will totally crumble without our property taxes, then I'm not quite sure what they think all of the other money that they give to the state, what that all pays for or what that goes for. But I still I have yet to find a book in the library that's where someone losing their home. Not found one yet. So and I don't think it. I don't think it's a matter of closing those things. The zoos and the museums. You know, they charge admission. When you go to the zoo, you pay admission. When you go to the museum, you pay admission to get in. So why are we funding them through our property taxes and an admission? That's my question. Libraries, I think should be paid by consumption, if you go to the library by a library card. Yeah. And in some places like the Cleveland for example, the Cleveland Museum of Art, which has one of the largest endowments on the planet that didn't come through taxes, that came through voluntary wealth. And no one is charged to ever enter the Cleveland Museum of Art unless they have a special traveling exhibit from Egypt or something like that. But other than that, it's free to go in every day. And it's one of the world's greatest museums. And so that's proof right there that backs up what you're saying. And I think property taxes and. I think too, is we can't forget Like, look at our colleges and our universities. Number one, they charge tuition, right, they do charge tuition, and a lot of them get huge donations from alumni. I mean, these colleges and universities have a lot of money, a lot of money, and yet why are we paying them as taxpayers? You know what, my kids Neither one of my kids went to college. They both entered into the workforce right away. I mean, my daughter went to a community college for culinary, which she paid for and got scholarships for. But if you're not sending your kid to college, why are you paying? Because all of those other taxes, you know, like your state income tax, when income tax is withheld from your check, you're supporting a college and a university when you're paying, when you're paying, when you're buying something, a portion of your sales tax goes to pay that college and that university. So that that's my point is like don't they charge tuition, Yes they do. Don't they get donations from alumni? Yes they do? Then why are we as taxpayers still funding them with all of our other tax dollars on top of that? And you know what, backs up what you just said. Hillsdale College, Mm hmm. They don't take They've never taken one dime since their inception I think it was in eighteen forty nine somewhere thereabouts, and not one penny have they ever taken from the government. But they have a nice endowment and they do a great job. By the way, look. At look at every Christian like Like my son sends his five kids to Christian school and he pays that tuition. But and he says, mom, I don't want help paying that because that's the choice that we made. It's just under kister Christian School. But sure would be nice not to have to pay public school taxes on our property tax. Okay, so he's paying Christian tuition. And I mean, look at all the people in Michigan that are doing the same thing as my son. They're sending their kids to private school, and yet they're supporting the public schools whose services they do not use. They're still paying for that through the property tax. But on top of that, ron every time my son has stay income tax with held from his paycheck, he's paying them again. He's sending this kids to Christian school, paying that tuition, supporting public schools through his property taxes, but he's also supporting public schools through all of the other taxes he pays. Yeah, so think about that. It's all about creating a burden because they want everyone under smashed together and become mental midgets in a one size fits all government school system which makes stupid everyone or turned you into leftist robots and or victims depending on the community. If you know what I mean, and so, and if you dare decide to, you know, make the choice. Well, I'm not going to send my child to that place. They want to make you difficult for you and they know Here's here's something I want to ask you. I already know the answer, But isn't it true. Then let's say if they whittled away a lot of these taxes, got rid of the property taxes, the income taxes, and only were left with a consumption tax. Now you know as well as I know, that there would actually be much more prosperity and there would be more than enough revenue being brought in and so. But the reason why you have these gazillion other taxes, it's about built in challenging regulations that come along with the taxes. Because with each tax for whatever. There's regulations for this, that and the other, and it's all about persecuting with the people, or slowing us down, or just making life more difficult. Is the common practice of leftist oriented government. What say you yeah, I think I you know, I yes, I think that is the goal again, we talked about that is to kind of equalize everybody. But it's unfortunately it's not going to bring the people at the bottom up. It's just going to bring the people at the top down. Right, So the people that the people that think they're going to get a huge step up the ladder, No, that's not the case. We're all going to They want us all down at the lowest level, right, that's what they're trying to do. But yes, and we are overregulated. There's government overreach. They're making all kinds of rules and regulations that we have to live within. And it's tough to do business. There's been a lot of things that have come out that hit small businesses affected small businesses. One of them has raised the wage. And then when you when you get hit by raise the wage and you get hit by higher property taxes, then you have to keep increasing the cost of your goods, which who buys that than the people? So you know what, it just raises the cost of everything and makes life more unaffordable. I always say, when this people prosper, the state will prosper. And that's what you just said. That's what you just said. We will have more money if if we pay less taxes, we will put more we will pump more money into the economy because we'll have more money to spend. And we love as people. We love to spend money. We love to go out to eat, We love to buy new cars. We love to have a boat and buy you know, boat gas. We love to do that. And I'm very concerned because more and more people, especially the younger, are glombing on to this Marxist philosophy. Not because it's good, not because it brings about more optimism, not because it's uplifting or anything like that. No, because people are conned in government schools and do accepting a more egalitarian mindset, one void of common sense in higher thinking, and so one that also includes not wishing your neighbor to do well, wishing that they would be as poor as you, if not poorer. So jealousy is one of the supreme elements of the socialist mindset. Now, the Bible says that we should be jealous in the fight to do better. If you see a man that's in that is that leads a good life, a holy life, and is prosperous, and he's doing well by his family and etcetera, etcetera. You should be thanking God for his prosperity and not begrudging him because of his prosperity. What are the factors that made America the one time envy of the world was the overall sense of optimism and one of the things that used to make people very angry. And I would see it. You could see it in the cracks, in the societal cracks. Even as a child, I could see it when you'd run across someone who had this just this vile hatred of the general goodness of America because they, like the many of the folks on the left today who complain about our imperfections. But they never, ever, not once, have I ever heard anyone from the left propose anything that would improve upon the things that they complain about. Now they continue to complain about slavery right, But yet every policy that they propose, every policy that they enacted, they are voted into government foolishly. What do they do they bring about more slavery upon us today? Where is Clarence Thomas famously stated long ago high tech slavery, high tech slavery through over government and over government taxation, and regulation. That's all part of the gradual push towards communism. And one of the easiest ways to transform a great nation into a cesspool of communism is to promote victimology. Then get evenism, bitterness of the present society, and make the full bore wickedness of Marxism and communism. Make the people think that that is just too wonderful. Peachy King, Now. You have. You have even in our country today, spots, you know, different places where there is an effort to stave off the full affront, you know, frontal assault of communism, but it's just varying degrees. You have at best in America today what I would call a mongrel economy. We do not have full free market economics in this country, and we haven't had it since oh before, around nineteen thirteen, and every year since they have and gradually chipping away at what is called the free market economic system here in the United States of America. The only reason that there is still although it's dwindling a middle class, of the creation of wealth, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera, because our economy was so blessed, so massively blessed and is so huge that yes, we still live relatively good lives. And one are the factors that indicates that your nation is in fast decline is when people accept continued lowering of standards. For example, the subway in New York City. Many say that it's filthy, they've cleaned it up some, I guess, But it was even dirtier during the Uncle Joe Biden administration, where there was just no effort, nothing, rats running all over the place, no matter what time of day, just raggedy Chicago murders every weekend in great numbers, illegals taking over buildings, a taxpayer expense, the lowering of standards when it comes to architecture, because, believe it or not, one of the things that we are influenced by as people aesthetics. Esthetics is part of creativity, which is heavily linked to an optimistic individual and or society. And as they continue on the left to try to normalize anger, victimology, division, but it's actually they call it diversity, but its actual division bulcanizing our society into variant groups that hate each other, divide and conquer that mix a nation or society or even a family weak, and so we have to start looking with God's wisdom at these situations and not clutch our pearls and get all nervous and bent and all bent, as they say. But no, we have to get steely, spined and push back utilizing the principles we know that can defeat the efforts to bring about communism officially in our nation. For instance, in New York City, all you have to do is elect Curtis Sliwa as mayor, not Cuomo, not the Muslim, not re elect Eric Adams, Curtis Sliwa mayor of New York. That would bring that communist movement to a screeching halt, and that would plant the seeds of the resurgence of the great city of New York City. It would be cleaned up, probably as well as it was done under the Giuliani years. But we have to be willing to discriminate the crucial differences when it comes to people that are running for office, when it comes to whether you're looking at the tax code, no matter what it is, you have to discriminate the differences between what is truly good and what is truly bad. Oh man, it's truly bad that now that my time is over, but I must thank you for your time.
