And now your radio refreshment, Ron Edwards. Hello. My name is Pastor Earl Wallace and I am filling in for the amazing Ron Edwards today. This is Faith Friday. I'm here to discuss how the Bible applies to every aspect of life, including civics. I'll give you my opening. This happened to me on Facebook over the last couple of days, going back and forth discussing with people how America is a Christian nation. Let me read my latest post on Facebook. America is a Christian nation because Biblical Christianity is the founding philosophy that guided political thinking and how America is to be ministered. Think of biblic Biblical Christianity as a philosophy that guides political thinking. There are ten commandments and there are ten bill of Rights. Each of the bill of rights are designed to compel people in government to treat we the people according to the Bilge. Now, if you don't know the Bill of Rights and you don't know. It's foundation the Ten Commandments. That's kind of a challenging statement because when many people hear me talk about the Ten Commandments, they immediately think about negative things like God is a big killjoy. No, the Ten Commandments enumerate are inalienable, natural God given rights that are mentioned referenced in the Declaration of Independence. Let me explain. When God says, in ten Commandment six, thou shalt not murder, he is saying everybody has a right to be murdered. When God says, in ten Commandment number seven, thou shalt not sexually molest or coerce. God only wants us to have sex within a stable marriage, monogamous relationship, he's saying everybody has the right not to be sexually molested or coerced. When God says in ten Commandment number eight, thou shalt not steal, he's saying everybody has a right not to be stolen. From that commandment, by the way, assumes private property rights. You know, sometimes I'm going back and forth with people, and I want to have these friendly discussions, and I appreciate if you would call in we could have some. Today people say to me that they prefer socialism over private ownership, And I say, okay, well, you don't have to wait for the government to change to do that. Why don't you just get together with your socialist friends, choose a backyard or a parking lot, pile all your stuff in there, and then determine who gets to use what. When that's socialism, you don't want to share your underwear or your car, or your rings, or your belongings, your favorite music collections with anybody else. You might want to, You might loan them the people, but you don't want them belonging to the collective. That's a what is the collective? That means certain people in government get to control everything. Ten Commandment number eight Thou shall not steal assumes that you have private property rights, and human nature is wrapped around that concept. We know that certain things belong to us, back to the Ten Commandments, are inalienable rights. When God says in ten Commandment number nine, thou shalt not bear false witness, he is saying that we all have a right not to be lied too or about. When God says in ten Commandment number ten, thou shalt not covet, he's saying that you have a right for somebody to uh for someone to not use government power to abuse your private property rights. I call them your four p'ce your person, your people, your position, and your possessions. You have a right to those things, and you have a right for me not to come along and grab government power and try to deny you autonomous use of the blessings that God gives us. Now, ten Commandment number five says we should honor our mother and our father. Now honors are two way street. We should have honorable parents as well. We don't want parents to violate ten Commandments six through ten against us. If they do so, that becomes a matter of law enforcement. The challenges will law enforcement enforce our laws according to our that secure our inalienable rights. Do you want government knocking on your door with a false writ saying that you did something that you did not do and they have a swat team with them to drag you and your family out of the house. Do you want your government to murder you? We don't want our government lying about us. We don't want our government murdering us. This is why it's so important that people understand what I call the biblical basis of the Bill of rights. If we don't understand our ten Commandments' rights, if the police don't don't enforce them. If son these wicked mayors tell the police not to enforce them, we become victimized by each other. Ten Commandment number four says we should worship God honor the Sabbath. Now, the Sabbath can be a floating day for many people, even an Old Testament issue. Some people had to work on what it was called the Sabbath. Now we've had calendar changes. Nobody really knows what the Sabbath day really is. But Paul tells us in scripture one man will regard one day and another man will regard another. So we don't want to be overly legalistic about the Sabbath, but we all want to set aside. God wants us all to set aside a day where we contemplate the things that I'm talking about, because you need to know upon what your freedoms are based. They're in the Bible. Find a Bible believing church, which can be challenging today. I know because most churches have organized themselves around the concept called Separate five oh one c. Three, which is an IRS policy from from which has been promoted the concept of separation of church and state. Now we know that God does not separate himself from the state. He either blesses or he judges nation. Ten Commandment number three says we should not use the Lord's name in vain. Don't use it as if it is empty of meaning. Don't use it as in cursing or swearing. God's last name is not damn it. We need to honor the Lord's name, and if we that's like a beginning step of honoring him. Ten Commandment number two says, we do not make any graven images. Do not make anything. I'm doing these off the top of my head, by the way, So if I misquote something or leave out a phrase or an element, let me know, call me up and let me know. Ten Commandment number two says, now shalt not worship any images that you think represents God. Don't make anything on the earth, in heaven, under the earth, or in the sea that you think represents God. So God wants us our an animal right is we have a right, a divine right to worship God in an environment that is free from icons and idols and statues and things that we think are someone's going to try to tell us, convince us represents God. God calls that idol worship. Ten Commandment number one is thal shalt have no other God before me. Here's the importance of these ten commandments. For those of you who are Bible readers, we say that David is a man after God's own You'll fill in the blank and you'll say, heart, how is David a man after God's own heart? When he broke so many of the commandments? Did David break ten commandment number ten? Did he covet anything he shouldn't have? Well, he had that thing with Beshiba. Did David break ten commandment number nine and lie? Well, when he was running from Saul, he went and ate the on the Sabbath he went in, and I believe this was the Sabbath. He went in and ate the show bred and told the priest he was on a special mission from the king. That was a lie. However, Jesus covered him with that and said that the Sabbath is made for man. Man is not made be a slave to the Sabbath. I'm paraphrasing. Did David ever break ten commandment number eight and steal something? He stole Bathsheba? Did David ever break ten Commandment number seven and commit adultery. Well, once again with Bathsheba. Did David ever murder anyone? He covered his sin with Bathsheba once he found out she was pregnant by having her husband go out to a battlefield. He ordered a general to put him in the heat of the battle and then withdraw from him. So the man got murdered. Now in a fair contest to war, that's killing. The Bible says in ten Commandment number six. Now shall not murder if you want to harm the public. I was in the military, and I was in Germany, and our mission in Germany was to guard the German people Western Europe in case there was a Communist invasion. Had there been, so I would have defended those people by killing the enemy. That's not murder. Law an act of law enforcement is not murder. It's killing. Self defense is killing, not murder. Murder is premeditated going after a person that relatively is innocent of the of the of the situation in which you are conniving to murder, to kill them, to murder them anyway. So David violated that commandment too. Did David have an honorable family? His son Abslom is so frustrated with him. He had a rebellion. He had too many wives, too many children. He had one one one of his step sons raping a step daughter and he did nothing about it. Wasn't a great family man. Why is God? Why is David considered a man after God's own heart? I was discussing on this faith Friday, how King David could be considered a man after God's own heart, which the Bible verifies asserts in the Book of Acts and then the Book of Isaiah. King David never broke ten one, two or three. He never broke Commandment three. He never used the Lord's name in vain. He never broke Commandment two. He never prayed to any other God, even at times when he was lodging with other idle worshiping people enemies of Israel, and King David always knew who God was. On the basis of King David keeping ten Commandments one, two, and three, the Bible calls him a man after God's own hearts. If we want to be people after God's own heart, we need to be people who honor God only as God. That means we should not ascribe to the Trinity, who are God. The Father. Jesus, who is God, the son God incarnate, calls himself the son of Man because he's God and he became a son of Man. And also God, the Holy Spirit, whom Jesus says calls the comforter. Some translations call it the Helper, but often the Bible refers to him as Holy Spirit. So we want to honor God according to how he manifests himself as a triune nature. We don't want to take something else a name that may appear in the Bible, a character that may appear in the Bible, a hero or a hero when who may appear in the Bible, and ascribe to that person the characteristics of the Trinity. Think of whom your favorite saint is to pray to. Is that Saint omniscient? Did that saint get resurrected from the dead as Jesus did and ascend to heaven never to die again? Is that Saint omnipotent? When you pray to one of these beings, entities, characters who are not a member of the Trinity, you're ascribing the characteristics of the Trinity to that person. You're using the Lord's name in vain, explained Martin Luther. And I believe Francis of ASSISSI. We want to honor God the way he says he wants to be honored in the Bible. And I know that's a challenge because there are many many organizations call themselves Christian, but I refer to Christians as belonging to something called biblical Christianity people. I was watching YouTube and they say, oh, there's eighty eight books of the Bible, and there's only sixty six that are canonized, and so they got these secret books. I was doing a podcast. I participated in the podcast once, and people were saying, Oh, there's all these missing and books of the Bible, and everybody wants to be attached to some mystery or some secret knowledge. And those people were saying things ascribing to God characteristics of Him that are not biblical. And the Bible says there's an equal sign in scripture. If you dishonor God according to ten Commandments one, two, and three, there's an equal sign in scripture. God overthrows your nation. Now, let me explain how that happens. All religions have socio political cultural outcomes. If I apply the values of Islam to civics, I end up in a Sharia law culture where women at the age of puberty have to dress a certain way. I've had it explained to me by people who are self identified jihadis that there are only two types of women in Islam. There's one who may become one of the four in a harem of our wives, and there are the concubines that we get to rent for one hour a day, which in America we call that prostitution. We have so many benefits. I was in Malaysia once and some Arabian men, and I've been in I've been into Dubai in Malaysia multiple times. But one time I was there with a self identified Jihadis. We are going out to lunch, and he looked in the department store window at some mannequins that were scantily dressed, and he said, how come the women in America aren't raped all the time showing all this skin? And I said to him, it's because the Holy Spirit has a tamp down on our society. Our society was founded upon God's ten commandments' rights, and women have a right not to be molested. They have a right. And the Holy spirit's working in us. Most people don't even recognize him, but he's working in us so that we treat women with dignity and respect. If we're all men were obviously we love the way women look. But in our society we've been trained to a degree that you're not supposed to act on all your impulses. And that's why women can show some skin, and they can dress and what we call western according to Western clothing styles there and they're not molested. However, I told these groups of people the fumes from the smoke of the Holy Spirit that used to fill our society, so to speak, is waning, and when the last fumes dissipate, we will become like your society. But there are people like me and people like Ron Edwards. We are trying to revitalize the values that made our society a great society. I've had air of men say to me, how come Americans win all the wars? I said, well, look at how healthy are men are our boys are? You know why they're healthy because we allow their moms to feed them. We don't hamper women. Women can come out of their house without a man and go shopping when she wants to and needs to defeed her family. So the women take care of their kids for the most part. In our society, the boys grow up big and strong. If you dis mom, you're limiting the health of her children. David is a man after God's own heart because he loved the Lord by God with all his heart, with all his soul, with all his strength, and he obeyed ten Commandments number three, which, by the way, are the most important commandments for us as a civic society. I used to think that murder ten commit violating ten Commandment number six was the worst commandment, and it's a horrible commandment. Ten Commandment six and ten Commandments seven. You know, committing adultery, sinning with someone else's spouse. It hurts a lot of lies, it ruins a lot of families. They're terrible sins, and murder in particular because you're taking somebody away from their family, maybe the breadwinner. Maybe you're taking a mother away from her children. Maybe you're taking a son or a daughter away from the parents, and it's hard for parents to go on from something like that. Those are horrible sins. However, they're not the worst ones. The worst sins that we can commit are violating ten Commandments one, two and three, because God has an equal sign in the spiritual realm that if you do that, I the Lord will withdraw my presence and my help from you will here's the thing. We violate ten commandments one, two and three, and God is bound by the holiness of his nature to turn us over to people who will violate all the other Ten Commandments against us. That's why it says in Deuteronomy twenty eight and Leviticus twenty six that if you violate God's commandments, the foreigner in your midst will rise above you. That's why they're selling us a DEEI diversity, equity and inclusion. Now, I'm a black person runs a black person. Of course, we want to participate in the best that America has to offer. But if you're going to enjoy that, you need to be the kind of person who can operate within the Ten Commandments, because those are the only people that are really compatible with the American culture. Do you know that the American culture was founded on the concepts of what I call Biblical Christianity. I really call it the biblical basis of the Bill of Rights. I just explained the Ten Commandments to you. The Bill of Rights are designed to compel people in government to treat we the people according to the Ten Commandments. That's why the First Amendment begins with freedom of religion. Biblical Christianity is the only religion that America's founders practiced. If you apply the Bible the Civics, you're going to end up with the Declaration of Independence, which says our rights come from our creator. Well, if you're honoring God, then you're assuming that ten Commandments one and three are really what God is talking about. When you honor him or Ten Commandments one through four. So yeah, in a sense, I do teach the Ten Commandments every week. However, we teach the Bible line by line through scripture. It's a no hold bards, a no holds barred discussion about who God is and how his Bible applies to every aspect of life, including civics. We don't stay away from the topics where the Bible explains how it wants a nation's civics to be organized, how it wants God to be honored in the nation civics. The concept that separation the Church of state is an absolute lie. It's a violation of ten Commandment number nine. And God does not honor lies. He actually judges nations that participate in lies. Look at what's happening to our country, our newspapers, our mainstream media reads like a viola, reads like a list of violations of the Ten Commandments. In the First Amendment of the US Constitution, I teach something called the biblical basis of the Bill of Rights. When you go to our we get back to our law box, our liberty off Christ, our liberty off site, body of Christ's communities. Get a bunch of people in your living room, turn on our videos, download our notes, stop the videos as often as you feel a need to, or that someone wants to have a comment or a conversation about something that's on the either sheets that you can get downloaded, you can download it, or in the sermon itself. It should be a marathon, not a race. You don't have to get through one of our sermons in one sitting. Take your time with your Bible, study, answer people's questions, let them look up scriptures and talk about the things that we teach from the Bible. You know, on Mother's Day we taught a message on what's that woman who was the prostitute from the Book of Joshua. Oh my gosh, my mind, what's her name? It's not Haygark. Oh goodness, gracious, I can't, but you know who I'm talking about. The Israelites when they went to spy off the land, they bump into her and she gets rescued by them. Let me see if I can find it out that started mentioning this. Oh my goodness, I can't believe I can't remember her name. This is terrible. Uh. Let's see, I've got a folder marked Mother's Day. Let's see what's in it. Gosh, I can't remember her name. I believe it begins with an h uh. Let's see Mother's Day. Rahab wasn't an agent. Rayhab is a mother who models the risk and the rewards of faith. She risked everything because she discerned what God's plan is for her society. She was very counterculture. She says, the whole society. The community's really worried about the Israelites coming. But she says, I know God has given this land to you. She's very counterculture. You want to be a good mom today, you gotta be counterculture. Not going to go into all that, but you should go watch our video, download the notes, and have a Bible your let your group of people within your home use it as a Bible study. Anyway, back to the First Amendment of the US Constitution, it begins with freedom of religion. Biblical Christianity is the only religion our founding father's practice. Do you know that America's founders on September eleventh, seventeen seventy seven, ordered bibles twenty thousand Bibles to be to be used for schools and public service in the United States of America. Do you know why? They probably knocked our buildings down on September eleventh, two thousand and one, because they want that day of infamy to be marked as a remembrance for September eleventh. They don't want September eleventh, seventeen seventy seven, the date when Congress authorized the Continental Congress authorize twenty thousand by saying, they stated, the Bible is so important and universal, and it's important so great that we order that we're authorizing twenty thousand Bibles for our schools, our churches, our court rooms, our judicial system, our public practices. So the first amendment of the US Constitution, and do this off the time. My head begins with freedom of religion. Biblical Christianity is the only religion the Family Father's practice. Yeah, freedom, freedom of speech. Freedom of speech is the second element, and freedom of the press, freedom to assemble, freedom to redress the government for grievances. Right, So freedom of the speech is supposed to be administered through the Biblical Christian religion that the Family Fathers authorized for the United States of America overseas Islamic and Muslim. And have said, mister Wallas pastoral, if you think you're right, why don't you outlaw all the other religions, and I'm like, we don't have to. As long as we have freedom of speech and freedom of biblical Christianity, the Bible wins hands down. We all decided that God is holy, He's gonna judge sin. You try to work and you do salot, and you go to Mecca pilgrimages to try to or if people go to church and they try to take their sacraments to atone for their sin. In one church they used to teach that you go to purgatory to atone for your sin. Well, we're sinful people. We're not the spotless Lamb of God. Our sacrifices cannot merit forgiveness in God's eyes. Our works can be evidence that we have God's forgiveness. They could be evidence that we have been redeemed by the blood of the lamb, but they are not going to merit the blood of the Lamb. The Bible says in Roman Street twenty three that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. There is none righteous, no, not one. We are sinful people, so we can't atone for our own sins. So we know God is holy, but he loves us. He wants to have a relationship with us, so he sent Jesus Christ to die for our sins. We all violate the Ten Commandments, which are by the way, the law is a tutor to instruct us that we need a savior. We need God's grace, grace garcee, God's riches at Christ's expense. We need the Let's not insult God. He sent Jesus Christ to die for our sins John three point sixteen. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life. Let's not insult the blood of Christ. In John nineteen thirty, I believe it is Jesus Christ hangs his head on the cross and he says it is finished. I believe the word in the Greek is tell us sty to tell us sty, meaning he has completed the work for our salvation. Let's not insult God, who sent his only begotten son, who was, according to John one one through three, was in the beginning with God. He was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Let's not insult the sacrifice of Christ by saying that our fallible, sinful expressions of of of taking a sacrament or doing a work is going to replace compensate be on par with the blood that God had shed on the cross for our sins. And remember when we're talking about the Ten Commandments, please do not neglect ten Commandment number one, two, and three, because God puts those first, because that's how he wants to secure us to honor his character. He wants us to reflect that those are the most important commandments because He's put them in the front. All religions have social political cultural outcomes, and the social, political and cultural outcomes of Biblical Christianity are in the Declaration of Independence, which I refer to as a document uh that it's that. It's a it's a it's a document of Biblical It's a document of Biblical doctrine that explains how the Bible applies to every aspect of life, including civics. In the First Amendment of the Constitution, we have freedom of religion, Biblical Christianity, freedom of speech. How do I know it's appropriate? Freedom of speech? How do I know it's inappropriate? Freedom of speech? The Bible tells me. So we get away from from the structure that the Bible, the the the protections that Bible puts around speech, and we have a free for all. We don't know how to tell what's good speech or appropriate speech. We don't know how to tell what's right or wrong. The third activity in the First Amendment is freedom of the press. How do I know what the press is supposed to be doing. The Bible tells me so, the press should be reporting as public sin, that which when people violate the ten Commandments against each other. Now, if you're a consenting adult and you want to do something in the privacy of your own home with another consenting adult, that's between you and God. And trust me, on judgment day, it will be between you and God. We don't want to run around looking at your windows. We don't want to be a busy body and trying to use the power of government to enforce my pet peeves against you. What we do want is our government to honor the biblical rights that God gives us, to not be murdered, to not be stolen from, to not be lied to about or slandered, and to not have our persons, our people, our positions, and our possessions coveted by over ambitious, aggressive, busy body. I see even evil people the Bible, Jesus said that man will bring forth works from the abundance of his heart. We don't want evil people seizing government and using government power to covet to deny us our autonomous use of our persons, our people, our positions, and our possessions. Now, the fourth activity in the First Amendment is the freedom to assemble, and the founding Fathers gave us the freedom to assemble because they literally believe that if we weren't free to go to church and have people like me instruct the public. I don't think I'm any great persons. I believe God has anointed me. God has he set me aside to learn some things, to study some things. That's what pastors are supposed to be. Not everybody can be one. He's set me aside, and he's pointed me in a particular direction. He's given me some experiences so I can help other people who want to be disciples of Christ come along in that channel and blessing and so the and so the God has put up put pastors like me out into the community so that we can help you. And the reason God gave us the fourth activity in the First Amendment is so that we can so that we can we can go to church, go to Bible studies. I've been Franklin and and Thomas Jefferson literally said that if people aren't free to to uh, to gather, to assemble to to study and worship the Bible, they'll never know upon what their freedom is based. And the fifth Amendment in the US Constitution's First Amendment, the fifth activity rather is that we have the we're we're encouraged by the fifth activity in the first Amendment that if your government violates the Ten Commandments against we the people, yourselves together and drag compel your government to get on a biblical path where it treats people according to the Ten Commandments. The concept of redressing means you want to get your government to turn to do one hundred and eighty degree turn if indeed it is violating the Ten Commandments against we the people. We could go into a whole lot of nuances about this, but God requests a tie from people. Give ten percent of your of your of your of whatever passes through your hands to help support his work here on the earth. Why is government taking thirty five percent or more from us under certain income brackets? You know, the Communist manifesto talk calls for a graduated tax burden. The more you make, the more we're going to take. And that God blesses you. And so people who are blessed of the lawd should be able to use their resources to support their persons, their people, their positions, and their possessions, and they should be able to donate to what they want to donate to. I look at these I'm looking at making a political donation, and there's a caveat there that you have to pledge that this is not going over a certain amount when that violates my free speech rights. If I want to donate to a particular politician, I should be able to do that. Who has infiltrated our government and has begun to undermine these processes. Let me tell you how biblically based our government used to be. Bonnie and Clyde were criminals, and Bonnie Clyde had a brother named Butch. His wife's name was Blanche. Butch got shot in the car, and so they had to put Busch outside the car so that he could get medical care to police could grab him, and Blanche stayed with him. You know, they never had Blanche get on the witness stand. They never had Blanche get on the witness stand to testify against their husband. The Puritans gave it stat value system that a wife would not be compelled to testify against her husband. And that's because they didn't want to violate ten Commandment number five. Honor the family, Honor your mother and father. And so our society was so biblically based that we knew that we could we could prosecute Butch Beryl without violating ten Commandment number five God's will for the family. The Puritans gave us the fifth Amendment that we would not have to self incriminate. Sometimes people were only asking you certain questions because they're trying to jam you up in an unbiblical way. The Puritans read about and the Pilgrims read about rehab that she had the spies. The king had a good, a great, an accurate reconnaissance system. They knew the spies had been there, but she said, no, they hadn't been here. She lied, and she's actually in Hebrews Hall of Faith. We don't want to be professional perpetual liars. We want to be lying about everything, but there's certain things that we should not have to disclose because people are gonna come after us in an unbiblical, ungodly way.
