[00:00:00] [SPEAKER_08]: Hi, I'm Pete Cunningham from Lancash's Lighthouse Radio Ministries, and you're listening to The Ron Edwards American Experience.

[00:00:08] [SPEAKER_03]: On with the show decisions!

[00:00:16] [SPEAKER_06]: 2, 1, and away we go!

[00:00:34] [SPEAKER_05]: Say, eh, eh, eh

[00:00:43] [SPEAKER_13]: Ladies and gentlemen, it's the Ron Edwards American Experience Talk Show, where our unalienable rights are celebrated.

[00:00:51] [SPEAKER_13]: And now, your radio refreshment, Ron Edwards.

[00:01:24] [SPEAKER_08]: Hello, welcome to the Ron Edwards American Experience-Faith Friday!

[00:01:29] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm rrrrr... I know I'm not Ron Edwards, actually, no, no, I'm Pete Cunningham, I'm your guest presenter.

[00:01:35] [SPEAKER_08]: And I do pray and hope that we have a wonderful time together.

[00:01:40] [SPEAKER_08]: So I'm based in Blackpool, in Lancashire, in the UK so you might be unfamiliar with my accent but I do hope you understand me.

[00:01:49] [SPEAKER_08]: We have a wonderful guest today is in fact my brother. Yes, my older brother Paul Cunningham

[00:01:56] [SPEAKER_08]: And he's going to be a guest today and he said well, he's not at home. He's in his holiday home

[00:02:02] [SPEAKER_08]: Yes, he's got too much money clearly and his holiday home in Cumbria in

[00:02:08] [SPEAKER_08]: little old England as well

[00:02:10] [SPEAKER_08]: Topic wise well, so we're gonna do things a little bit different today. I

[00:02:19] [SPEAKER_08]: I've been here and I've been a guest a few times, but I figured hey, do you know what he's called faith Friday?

[00:02:26] [SPEAKER_08]: Faith day. So let's delve into scriptures

[00:02:29] [SPEAKER_08]: Let's delve into an area of scriptures in fact that hey

[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_08]: He just might be a little bit. Oh shall we say oh a little bit tricky

[00:02:40] [SPEAKER_08]: Not run of the mail often people

[00:02:43] [SPEAKER_08]: Don't like to speak about a certain community

[00:02:47] [SPEAKER_08]: That is surrounding us and in fact taking over parts of towns

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_08]: villages cities etc. I think you pretty much worked it out having you it's the LGBT

[00:03:01] [SPEAKER_08]: Q XY T

[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_08]: Plus community and whatever other letters they wish to have

[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_08]: And that is what we're gonna talk about

[00:03:13] [SPEAKER_08]: As I say could be offensive

[00:03:16] [SPEAKER_08]: Personally, I don't think anything is offensive when it's read from scripture and backed up with God's word

[00:03:23] [SPEAKER_08]: So I just like to read a portion of scripture for you

[00:03:28] [SPEAKER_08]: With a response from scripture. Hey, it's that simple. I would like to read if you will due to Rony me

[00:03:39] [SPEAKER_08]: 22 and verse 5

[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm sure many of you already know this scripture and it says this a

[00:03:46] [SPEAKER_08]: Woman shall not put on a man's garment

[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_08]: Nor shall a man put on a woman's cloak for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God

[00:03:58] [SPEAKER_08]: Hey, I think that's pretty self-explanatory isn't it? There's

[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, yeah. Hey men, you're not women. I'm sorry women

[00:04:07] [SPEAKER_08]: You're not men. Let's have a look at a response from Paul's letters to Timothy to Timothy

[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_08]: three and it's 16 and 17 all

[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_08]: Scripture just let's just read them two words again all scripture is

[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_08]: Breed out by God and profitable for teaching for reproof

[00:04:29] [SPEAKER_08]: For correction and for training in righteousness

[00:04:34] [SPEAKER_08]: That the man of God may be complete

[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_08]: Equipped for every good work

[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_08]: Now the portion that I'm interested in is this all scripture is brewed out by God

[00:04:48] [SPEAKER_08]: So if you're reading the Bible

[00:04:51] [SPEAKER_08]: Who's given them words it's God God has given them scriptures to man as a way for us to live our life and to guide us

[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_08]: So

[00:05:03] [SPEAKER_08]: Let's just have a quick look at this LGBT thing

[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_08]: And then I'm gonna pull Paul in and we're gonna have a chat about this

[00:05:12] [SPEAKER_08]: but I'd just like to

[00:05:13] [SPEAKER_08]: read this to you because

[00:05:16] [SPEAKER_08]: You see the thing is we don't hate

[00:05:19] [SPEAKER_08]: The LGBT community we don't what we have is a problem and

[00:05:27] [SPEAKER_08]: I'd like to read

[00:05:30] [SPEAKER_08]: Just some quick thoughts

[00:05:32] [SPEAKER_08]: See the problem is that I think that this particular community they've got an agenda and when it's featured a lot in the news

[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_08]: It's featured a lot in the news globally not just in any particular place and

[00:05:45] [SPEAKER_08]: recently

[00:05:46] [SPEAKER_08]: And I've been involved in this

[00:05:48] [SPEAKER_08]: We've been fighting in schools schools seem to be promoting this particular community

[00:05:55] [SPEAKER_08]: These stories have had a mixed response from Christians

[00:05:58] [SPEAKER_08]: I think there's confusion around how Christians should respond to what they're calling gay rights or gay pride or

[00:06:07] [SPEAKER_08]: That those who profess to have been born in the wrong body, which is completely nonsense. Let's be honest

[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_08]: Because as Christians as a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, we know the Lord does not make mistakes

[00:06:20] [SPEAKER_08]: Amen. He does not make mistakes

[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_08]: and

[00:06:25] [SPEAKER_08]: You see people who who I was born in the wrong body

[00:06:29] [SPEAKER_08]: I should have been a woman and I born in a man's body listen. No

[00:06:34] [SPEAKER_08]: That may well be mental health. I don't know. I'm not an expert. What I do know is this

[00:06:40] [SPEAKER_08]: Mutilating your body is not going to change your gender. Okay, it's just not

[00:06:46] [SPEAKER_08]: Genders embedded in your genes

[00:06:48] [SPEAKER_08]: There's approximately what 8 trillion cells in the human body and each and every one of those cells determines your gender and

[00:06:57] [SPEAKER_08]: You know what if you tamper with this?

[00:07:00] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm gonna say this and I'm not gonna apologize. You tamper in with your body

[00:07:05] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm gonna say that could be seen as very selfish

[00:07:09] [SPEAKER_08]: because

[00:07:10] [SPEAKER_08]: You're not considering how it affects your friends or your family and trust me it does affect

[00:07:16] [SPEAKER_08]: I could speak for a personal experience about this

[00:07:21] [SPEAKER_08]: Not that I've tampered with my body. I'm a man and I still have my man bits

[00:07:28] [SPEAKER_08]: so

[00:07:30] [SPEAKER_08]: Let's just have a look at this now that there's a lot of

[00:07:34] [SPEAKER_08]: People who appear to affirm transgender ideologies and this is a marvelous study

[00:07:41] [SPEAKER_08]: because

[00:07:43] [SPEAKER_08]: You know the gospel tells us to simply love our neighbor as they are and

[00:07:49] [SPEAKER_08]: That is what I like to preach love your neighbors

[00:07:51] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, it's understandable that people assume the Bible must support the cause of LGBT because of that particular statement

[00:08:01] [SPEAKER_08]: however, I

[00:08:02] [SPEAKER_08]: Do get asked well, okay, then why do you oppose it?

[00:08:05] [SPEAKER_08]: well

[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_08]: Let's take a brief look at a similar story from scripture

[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_08]: Sodom and Gomorrah

[00:08:13] [SPEAKER_08]: This is the obvious place to look

[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_08]: Sodom and Gomorrah are what the two of the five cities of the plane is referred to in Genesis chapter 13 verse 12

[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_08]: And again in chapter 19 verse 29

[00:08:27] [SPEAKER_08]: and

[00:08:27] [SPEAKER_08]: It subjects our

[00:08:30] [SPEAKER_08]: Chidolamma and Elam who revel against him. I'm sure you know the scripture and at the battle of Sidham

[00:08:37] [SPEAKER_08]: Chidolamma defeats them and takes many captives including lot that's important

[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_08]: Because he's the nephew of the Hebrew patriarch Abraham

[00:08:48] [SPEAKER_08]: So what does Abraham do? He gathers his many rescues lot and he frees the cities

[00:08:53] [SPEAKER_08]: but later on

[00:08:55] [SPEAKER_08]: God gives advance notice to Abraham that Sodom has a reputation for wickedness and

[00:09:03] [SPEAKER_08]: Abraham says to God will you sweep away the righteous with the wicked?

[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_08]: That's in Genesis 18 23

[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_08]: No starting at 50 people Abraham negotiates with God if you will to spare Sodom if 10 righteous people could be found

[00:09:21] [SPEAKER_08]: I'd like to find 10 righteous people were island

[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_08]: But anyway, so God sends these two angels to destroy Sodom

[00:09:30] [SPEAKER_08]: Lot welcomes into his own

[00:09:32] [SPEAKER_08]: But all the men of the town surround the house and demand that he surrender to the visitors that they may know them

[00:09:39] [SPEAKER_08]: Lot offers this mob his virgin daughters to do with them as you please

[00:09:44] [SPEAKER_08]: But they refuse and threatened to do the worst a lot

[00:09:49] [SPEAKER_08]: The angels strike the crowd blind

[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_08]: Let's quickly finish this the angels tell lot the outcry against its people has become great before the Lord

[00:09:59] [SPEAKER_08]: And the Lord has sent us to destroy it the next morning because lot was lingered the angels take lot lots wife

[00:10:06] [SPEAKER_08]: And these two daughters by the hand and it's to the city. It's time to flee to the hills

[00:10:13] [SPEAKER_08]: Ultimately lot and his two daughters are saved, but his wife disregard the angels warning

[00:10:18] [SPEAKER_08]: Looks back and he's turned into a pillar of salt

[00:10:22] [SPEAKER_08]: We'll come back very shortly and speak to Paul

[00:10:25] [SPEAKER_19]: It's to murder tribes

[00:10:39] [SPEAKER_16]: Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuses instruction be he that regardless reproof shall be honored

[00:13:52] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm Pete Cunningham from Lancash's Lighthouse Radio Ministries and you're listening to the Ron Edwards American experience

[00:14:01] [SPEAKER_19]: Amazing

[00:14:21] [SPEAKER_19]: That's

[00:14:23] [SPEAKER_19]: But

[00:14:39] [SPEAKER_08]: Welcome back to the Ron Edwards American experience with your guest presenter

[00:14:44] [SPEAKER_08]: Pete Cunningham from Blackpool in the UK and yes

[00:14:48] [SPEAKER_08]: We're talking about a topic the lgb2q plus c a set x y z plus

[00:14:55] [SPEAKER_08]: Community it's a topic people seem to

[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, they don't want to talk about it and I don't mind talking about anything

[00:15:02] [SPEAKER_08]: But I've got a wonderful guest with me. Well, he's not with me exactly but he's certainly here

[00:15:09] [SPEAKER_08]: I've got my wonderful brother my big brother Paul Paul. Hi you there

[00:15:15] [SPEAKER_07]: I

[00:15:16] [SPEAKER_07]: Certainly am good evening from a rather dark and dreary come here

[00:15:22] [SPEAKER_07]: We've had a beautiful sunset this evening. So good evening to you and good afternoon to all those wonderful listeners

[00:15:29] [SPEAKER_07]: Over in the United States of America

[00:15:31] [SPEAKER_07]: Pete you've picked an absolutely

[00:15:35] [SPEAKER_07]: Intriguing subject subject that many people are really scared to talk about

[00:15:41] [SPEAKER_07]: Let me tell you a little bit of background of myself. I've raised as Roman Catholic

[00:15:47] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm still a practicing Roman Catholic. I believe in the doctrine. I was taught and

[00:15:55] [SPEAKER_07]: Yes, you mentioned earlier on Pete about the damage to our family

[00:16:00] [SPEAKER_07]: When I saw it an individual

[00:16:03] [SPEAKER_07]: Made a decision without

[00:16:05] [SPEAKER_07]: consultation

[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_07]: With his wife without consultation with his children and without consultation

[00:16:13] [SPEAKER_07]: with the wider family

[00:16:17] [SPEAKER_07]: The decision he took

[00:16:20] [SPEAKER_07]: Was a very bold and brave one, but a very very silly one

[00:16:26] [SPEAKER_07]: Why he did it? Why did he change his sexuality? I

[00:16:31] [SPEAKER_07]: believe he did that because

[00:16:34] [SPEAKER_07]: Other people were getting attention from his family

[00:16:38] [SPEAKER_07]: They were going to watch drag shows

[00:16:41] [SPEAKER_07]: They were going to watch men dressed as women

[00:16:45] [SPEAKER_07]: They were getting the attention from his wife

[00:16:48] [SPEAKER_07]: from his mother-in-law

[00:16:51] [SPEAKER_07]: So he took the decision

[00:16:54] [SPEAKER_07]: If they were getting the attention

[00:16:56] [SPEAKER_07]: Why can't I so what he chose to do was join them as

[00:17:02] [SPEAKER_07]: We know or rather we don't know

[00:17:05] [SPEAKER_07]: Where did he get that money from?

[00:17:08] [SPEAKER_07]: To travel halfway across Europe

[00:17:11] [SPEAKER_07]: To have those operations to change his sexual nature

[00:17:15] [SPEAKER_07]: We don't really know

[00:17:17] [SPEAKER_07]: We've asked those questions

[00:17:20] [SPEAKER_07]: Again, we don't know

[00:17:23] [SPEAKER_07]: But yes, it caused a lot of damage to his family. I

[00:17:27] [SPEAKER_07]: Do fear or he's two young children? They're very young

[00:17:33] [SPEAKER_07]: And at that age in school

[00:17:37] [SPEAKER_07]: They can be prone to a lot of bullying

[00:17:42] [SPEAKER_07]: When children see a man dressed as a woman bringing two young children to school

[00:17:48] [SPEAKER_07]: Is that really the norm?

[00:17:52] [SPEAKER_07]: Is that really the right thing to do?

[00:17:57] [SPEAKER_07]: Those poor children they'll be the ones that suffer and

[00:18:02] [SPEAKER_07]: That is not right

[00:18:05] [SPEAKER_07]: But it seems our communities here in the UK

[00:18:10] [SPEAKER_07]: Are scared of speaking out on this subject

[00:18:14] [SPEAKER_07]: Even our politicians are scared of speaking out on that subject

[00:18:20] [SPEAKER_07]: I was reading not long ago about an apology made by Pope Francis

[00:18:27] [SPEAKER_07]: For one word he used

[00:18:31] [SPEAKER_07]: Pope Francis in a very difficult situation

[00:18:34] [SPEAKER_07]: He's trying to engage with these communities

[00:18:38] [SPEAKER_07]: He's trying to make them understand

[00:18:42] [SPEAKER_07]: Why he is in a difficult situation

[00:18:46] [SPEAKER_07]: And for them to take offense because of one word he uses

[00:18:51] [SPEAKER_07]: Whilst trying to engage with those communities

[00:18:55] [SPEAKER_07]: Really sends the wrong message across the world

[00:19:01] [SPEAKER_07]: Even in my work life

[00:19:05] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm very scared of using the wrong language

[00:19:09] [SPEAKER_07]: And yet people can talk about myself as a manager

[00:19:14] [SPEAKER_07]: About being male, stale, pale

[00:19:19] [SPEAKER_07]: I find that offensive

[00:19:22] [SPEAKER_07]: Yes, I'm male, I'm proud of it

[00:19:25] [SPEAKER_07]: Yes, I'm pale, that's my complication

[00:19:28] [SPEAKER_07]: That's the way I am

[00:19:31] [SPEAKER_07]: Stale, I'm definitely not

[00:19:33] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm saying what I believe this evening to you all

[00:19:39] [SPEAKER_07]: Now let me ask you a question Peter

[00:19:41] [SPEAKER_07]: And Ron

[00:19:45] [SPEAKER_07]: In the UK how many different sexualities are recognised by the British government?

[00:19:56] [SPEAKER_08]: The British government could be hundreds

[00:19:58] [SPEAKER_08]: I know and you know and everybody else knows there are two

[00:20:02] [SPEAKER_08]: But go on hit me with it, hit me with the figure our wonderful government gives us

[00:20:07] [SPEAKER_07]: The figure is 24 different sexualities

[00:20:13] [SPEAKER_07]: 24

[00:20:14] [SPEAKER_07]: Can you name them all?

[00:20:16] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm not going to name them, I will let everybody use the old internet

[00:20:20] [SPEAKER_07]: Because I don't really want to talk about them

[00:20:23] [SPEAKER_07]: Yes, you're correct, God created two

[00:20:28] [SPEAKER_07]: Man and woman

[00:20:32] [SPEAKER_07]: How can man be better than God

[00:20:37] [SPEAKER_07]: And create another 22

[00:20:42] [SPEAKER_07]: I find that very offensive

[00:20:44] [SPEAKER_07]: I don't know about you Peter

[00:20:48] [SPEAKER_08]: It is very offensive

[00:20:50] [SPEAKER_08]: And then here's the problem

[00:20:53] [SPEAKER_08]: Is that we have this new phrase

[00:20:56] [SPEAKER_08]: Well it's been a phrase knocking about for a while isn't it called being woke

[00:21:00] [SPEAKER_08]: I find it very interesting term

[00:21:03] [SPEAKER_08]: But it seems wokeism is one of these crazy phrases where you know you can be offended by anything

[00:21:11] [SPEAKER_08]: I mean you can be offended by

[00:21:15] [SPEAKER_08]: Oh the fact that you have a moustache if I remember

[00:21:20] [SPEAKER_08]: And that could be deemed as offensive and it upsets people

[00:21:23] [SPEAKER_08]: Because well I can't grow a moustache and other such nonsense

[00:21:30] [SPEAKER_08]: Wokeist absolute trash

[00:21:33] [SPEAKER_08]: It really is

[00:21:34] [SPEAKER_08]: And this wokeist thing it needs to get a grip

[00:21:37] [SPEAKER_08]: It needs to pack its bags and it needs to get out of here

[00:21:40] [SPEAKER_08]: Shut the door behind you goodbye

[00:21:44] [SPEAKER_08]: So what was the question again

[00:21:48] [SPEAKER_07]: No going to say that at the moment

[00:21:50] [SPEAKER_07]: But no, you know people have got to respect that you and I are right

[00:21:58] [SPEAKER_07]: We do

[00:22:00] [SPEAKER_07]: God gave them us

[00:22:02] [SPEAKER_07]: In America they're written in the statute

[00:22:05] [SPEAKER_07]: In here in the UK

[00:22:06] [SPEAKER_07]: It's written in a book in the House of Commons that nobody can ever track off

[00:22:12] [SPEAKER_07]: But yeah I do have my rights and I have the right of freedom of speech

[00:22:19] [SPEAKER_07]: But in my line of work if I use the wrong phrase I'm disciplined

[00:22:28] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah he is a funny thing

[00:22:30] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm a waste of their words there

[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_08]: I said freedom of speech

[00:22:33] [SPEAKER_07]: And I'm scared of saying certain words

[00:22:37] [SPEAKER_07]: And that's probably wrong

[00:22:41] [SPEAKER_08]: It is

[00:22:41] [SPEAKER_08]: It is because this term you use freedom of speech is marvellous because in reality we don't have it do we

[00:22:47] [SPEAKER_08]: Because on the other hand we have censorship laws

[00:22:51] [SPEAKER_08]: You know and then they contradict each other

[00:22:54] [SPEAKER_08]: So you have to be very careful about

[00:22:58] [SPEAKER_08]: You know what's this other thing now every time I get an email from somebody it has my preferred pronouns

[00:23:05] [SPEAKER_08]: Is it actually coming

[00:23:08] [SPEAKER_07]: I've been asked to put that on my email

[00:23:11] [SPEAKER_07]: And I said and I did actually do it and I got told off

[00:23:16] [SPEAKER_07]: I wrote at the bottom of my emails

[00:23:18] [SPEAKER_07]: God created me as man

[00:23:20] [SPEAKER_07]: And I will die as a man

[00:23:23] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah indeed

[00:23:25] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah because of course another thing you know when we do

[00:23:28] [SPEAKER_08]: When the Lord calls us home

[00:23:31] [SPEAKER_08]: And your bones

[00:23:34] [SPEAKER_08]: At some point let's say could be

[00:23:38] [SPEAKER_08]: Found

[00:23:39] [SPEAKER_08]: They're gonna be identified

[00:23:41] [SPEAKER_08]: For you and I as male

[00:23:45] [SPEAKER_08]: Not as female

[00:23:47] [SPEAKER_08]: They will be male

[00:23:49] [SPEAKER_08]: But I'll tell you what Paul let's continue this chart in a little moment

[00:23:53] [SPEAKER_08]: Because hey let's go and have a little bit of a break

[00:23:56] [SPEAKER_08]: Go and have another glass of wine

[00:23:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Round then we go

[00:24:10] [SPEAKER_13]: The Ron Edwards American Experience Talk Show

[00:25:23] [SPEAKER_16]: Is seeking to kick God and the Bible out of society

[00:25:26] [SPEAKER_16]: In 1844 Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story

[00:25:29] [SPEAKER_16]: Upheld the use of the Bible as a tool for teaching

[00:25:32] [SPEAKER_16]: In government schools

[00:25:34] [SPEAKER_16]: Hello I'm Ron Edwards

[00:25:36] [SPEAKER_16]: On today's page from the Edwards Notebook

[00:25:38] [SPEAKER_16]: Brought to you by Constitutional Grounds Coffee

[00:25:40] [SPEAKER_16]: In this Bidale versus Girard Case

[00:25:42] [SPEAKER_16]: Mr. Girard's will permitted

[00:25:44] [SPEAKER_16]: The teaching of the Christian faith

[00:25:46] [SPEAKER_16]: Just not by members of the clergy

[00:25:48] [SPEAKER_16]: Justice Story's opinion that Girard's will

[00:25:51] [SPEAKER_16]: Was not derogatory towards Christianity

[00:25:54] [SPEAKER_16]: Rested on two determinations

[00:25:56] [SPEAKER_16]: First, a layman was capable of teaching

[00:25:58] [SPEAKER_16]: The general principles of Christianity

[00:26:01] [SPEAKER_16]: Second, Girard's will actually permitted

[00:26:04] [SPEAKER_16]: The teaching of the Bible in schools

[00:26:05] [SPEAKER_16]: It was duly noted that the founding fathers

[00:26:08] [SPEAKER_16]: Warned that in order for the United States

[00:26:10] [SPEAKER_16]: To become and remain great

[00:26:12] [SPEAKER_16]: Her people must be a good moral character

[00:26:14] [SPEAKER_16]: Mr. Girard clearly understood

[00:26:16] [SPEAKER_16]: The importance of teaching students

[00:26:18] [SPEAKER_16]: The biblical principles of morality

[00:26:21] [SPEAKER_16]: The moral principles of moral principles

[00:26:22] [SPEAKER_16]: Whereas can the purest principles

[00:26:24] [SPEAKER_16]: Of morality be learned so perfectly

[00:26:26] [SPEAKER_16]: As from the Bible

[00:26:27] [SPEAKER_16]: Where are benevolence, the love of truth

[00:26:30] [SPEAKER_16]: Subriety and industry

[00:26:31] [SPEAKER_16]: Superior intellectual development

[00:26:33] [SPEAKER_16]: Be so powerfully and irresistibly

[00:26:36] [SPEAKER_16]: Inculcated as in the Bible

[00:26:39] [SPEAKER_16]: I'm Ron Edwards

[00:27:13] [SPEAKER_16]: But one who makes unjust demands

[00:27:16] [SPEAKER_16]: Brings it to ruin

[00:27:23] [SPEAKER_12]: Ron Edwards

[00:27:24] [SPEAKER_12]: The new voice of America

[00:27:27] [SPEAKER_02]: You'll be free to come down

[00:27:36] [SPEAKER_02]: From the heavenly of the heavenly

[00:27:39] [SPEAKER_02]: To die for me

[00:27:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Only you'll be free to go down

[00:27:46] [SPEAKER_02]: To death's of hell

[00:27:48] [SPEAKER_02]: To rescue me

[00:28:09] [SPEAKER_08]: Welcome back to Faye Friday

[00:28:12] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm your guest host Peter Cunningham

[00:28:14] [SPEAKER_08]: And I have my brother on the other line

[00:28:17] [SPEAKER_08]: If you will

[00:28:18] [SPEAKER_08]: In his holiday home

[00:28:20] [SPEAKER_08]: Second home

[00:28:21] [SPEAKER_08]: Because he's got too much money

[00:28:23] [SPEAKER_08]: In Cumbria

[00:28:24] [SPEAKER_08]: And we're talking about the LGBTQ plus community

[00:28:28] [SPEAKER_08]: You might think

[00:28:30] [SPEAKER_08]: Or possibly you could be listening

[00:28:32] [SPEAKER_08]: And thinking there was a lot of hatred going on here

[00:28:34] [SPEAKER_08]: But there's not

[00:28:35] [SPEAKER_08]: Seriously there's not

[00:28:36] [SPEAKER_08]: I love everybody

[00:28:38] [SPEAKER_08]: The Lord instructs me to love everybody

[00:28:40] [SPEAKER_08]: And I do

[00:28:40] [SPEAKER_08]: But you know what

[00:28:41] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't have to agree

[00:28:43] [SPEAKER_08]: Do I?

[00:28:44] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't have to agree

[00:28:46] [SPEAKER_08]: Now Paul I'd like to ask you a question

[00:28:48] [SPEAKER_08]: You actually live near Manchester

[00:28:51] [SPEAKER_08]: In the UK

[00:28:52] [SPEAKER_08]: As I'm living in Blackpool

[00:28:54] [SPEAKER_08]: Both Manchester and Blackpool

[00:28:56] [SPEAKER_08]: Have quite a substantially sized LGBT community

[00:29:01] [SPEAKER_08]: And as we know

[00:29:03] [SPEAKER_08]: Globally every year

[00:29:04] [SPEAKER_08]: In June

[00:29:05] [SPEAKER_08]: These communities celebrate

[00:29:08] [SPEAKER_08]: Pride Month

[00:29:10] [SPEAKER_08]: Now

[00:29:13] [SPEAKER_08]: I've seen this

[00:29:15] [SPEAKER_08]: And I'd like to make a very bold statement

[00:29:17] [SPEAKER_08]: Paul

[00:29:18] [SPEAKER_08]: Which I'd like to discuss with you

[00:29:19] [SPEAKER_08]: And it's very much this

[00:29:21] [SPEAKER_08]: I believe these Pride marches

[00:29:25] [SPEAKER_08]: Etc

[00:29:25] [SPEAKER_08]: Oh why are they so overly sexualised

[00:29:29] [SPEAKER_08]: What do you think?

[00:29:31] [SPEAKER_07]: Well

[00:29:32] [SPEAKER_07]: It's a very interesting point

[00:29:35] [SPEAKER_07]: Let me start by saying

[00:29:37] [SPEAKER_07]: As a manager

[00:29:38] [SPEAKER_07]: I manage nearly 50 members of staff

[00:29:42] [SPEAKER_07]: And a fair representation of those

[00:29:46] [SPEAKER_07]: Are gay

[00:29:47] [SPEAKER_07]: And I think they are

[00:29:49] [SPEAKER_07]: Absolutely wonderful people

[00:29:52] [SPEAKER_07]: They are fantastic at their jobs

[00:29:56] [SPEAKER_07]: And I'll be as bold as to say

[00:29:58] [SPEAKER_07]: I love them like brothers

[00:30:01] [SPEAKER_07]: Now

[00:30:01] [SPEAKER_07]: When

[00:30:03] [SPEAKER_07]: As a country, as a society

[00:30:05] [SPEAKER_07]: We lay these events on like pride

[00:30:09] [SPEAKER_07]: And we try and

[00:30:12] [SPEAKER_07]: Let's say

[00:30:14] [SPEAKER_07]: Educate other people

[00:30:15] [SPEAKER_07]: Into how important

[00:30:17] [SPEAKER_07]: Pride and the LGBT community is

[00:30:21] [SPEAKER_07]: Those members of staff

[00:30:23] [SPEAKER_07]: My friends

[00:30:25] [SPEAKER_07]: Take offence

[00:30:26] [SPEAKER_07]: They don't really want

[00:30:29] [SPEAKER_07]: To be stood on a pedestal

[00:30:31] [SPEAKER_07]: They don't really want

[00:30:33] [SPEAKER_07]: A spotlight

[00:30:35] [SPEAKER_07]: Shining on them

[00:30:36] [SPEAKER_07]: What they want

[00:30:38] [SPEAKER_07]: Is to be

[00:30:40] [SPEAKER_07]: An individual

[00:30:42] [SPEAKER_07]: A person

[00:30:44] [SPEAKER_07]: And I don't have any

[00:30:46] [SPEAKER_07]: Problem with that

[00:30:48] [SPEAKER_07]: Your point about the parades

[00:30:51] [SPEAKER_07]: Yes

[00:30:53] [SPEAKER_07]: I do find

[00:30:54] [SPEAKER_07]: Some elements of that

[00:30:56] [SPEAKER_07]: Fensive

[00:30:56] [SPEAKER_07]: I do not want

[00:30:59] [SPEAKER_07]: To be stood in Manchester

[00:31:01] [SPEAKER_07]: Waiting for my transportation home

[00:31:04] [SPEAKER_07]: Seeing a male pera buttocks

[00:31:07] [SPEAKER_07]: And a thong

[00:31:08] [SPEAKER_07]: I find that a fan

[00:31:09] [SPEAKER_07]: If you were to be wearing a pair of shorts

[00:31:13] [SPEAKER_07]: And a t-shirt

[00:31:14] [SPEAKER_07]: Like the rest of us in summer

[00:31:16] [SPEAKER_07]: Not a problem

[00:31:17] [SPEAKER_07]: Do what you want

[00:31:21] [SPEAKER_07]: If I was to walk around

[00:31:24] [SPEAKER_07]: Part of my community

[00:31:26] [SPEAKER_07]: In a black leather thong

[00:31:28] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm quite certain

[00:31:29] [SPEAKER_07]: That people would take offence

[00:31:31] [SPEAKER_07]: People would tell me about it

[00:31:33] [SPEAKER_07]: And may even end up being arrested

[00:31:37] [SPEAKER_07]: So why

[00:31:38] [SPEAKER_07]: And I don't want to be like that

[00:31:39] [SPEAKER_07]: Why should I be arrested one day

[00:31:42] [SPEAKER_07]: And yet somebody else

[00:31:44] [SPEAKER_07]: Not another day

[00:31:45] [SPEAKER_07]: Take pride in what you want to do

[00:31:49] [SPEAKER_07]: But do not

[00:31:51] [SPEAKER_07]: Please

[00:31:51] [SPEAKER_07]: Rub it in my face

[00:31:54] [SPEAKER_07]: Do not

[00:31:55] [SPEAKER_07]: Please

[00:31:56] [SPEAKER_07]: flaunt your sexuality

[00:31:59] [SPEAKER_07]: In front of young people

[00:32:01] [SPEAKER_07]: It was still being educated

[00:32:06] [SPEAKER_07]: It is wrong

[00:32:07] [SPEAKER_07]: To do that

[00:32:08] [SPEAKER_07]: If you want to do that in your nightclub

[00:32:12] [SPEAKER_07]: Your bars

[00:32:13] [SPEAKER_07]: Please do so

[00:32:15] [SPEAKER_07]: That's your right to do so

[00:32:17] [SPEAKER_07]: But don't flaunt it

[00:32:19] [SPEAKER_07]: Not everybody in the LGBT community

[00:32:23] [SPEAKER_07]: Agrees with that

[00:32:25] [SPEAKER_07]: And they tell me that

[00:32:27] [SPEAKER_07]: I have fantastic discussions

[00:32:30] [SPEAKER_07]: With some of my staff

[00:32:32] [SPEAKER_07]: And we are open

[00:32:36] [SPEAKER_07]: And we have discussions about it

[00:32:37] [SPEAKER_07]: Let me ask you a question, Pete

[00:32:41] [SPEAKER_07]: And dear listeners in the United States

[00:32:44] [SPEAKER_07]: Please think about this

[00:32:46] [SPEAKER_07]: And pray

[00:32:48] [SPEAKER_07]: That what may happen

[00:32:51] [SPEAKER_07]: This year or next

[00:32:52] [SPEAKER_07]: Is the right thing

[00:32:54] [SPEAKER_07]: For the church as a whole

[00:32:57] [SPEAKER_07]: Pope Francis, as I mentioned earlier on

[00:33:00] [SPEAKER_07]: Is in a very difficult situation

[00:33:03] [SPEAKER_07]: Some of the Catholic bishops

[00:33:08] [SPEAKER_07]: Are openly engaging in the LGBT community

[00:33:11] [SPEAKER_07]: Many

[00:33:13] [SPEAKER_07]: Are taking the opposite stance

[00:33:16] [SPEAKER_07]: Pope Francis has already decreed

[00:33:20] [SPEAKER_07]: That he is open to the suggestion

[00:33:22] [SPEAKER_07]: Of Catholic priests

[00:33:25] [SPEAKER_07]: Giving blessings

[00:33:28] [SPEAKER_07]: To same-sex couples

[00:33:31] [SPEAKER_07]: It will not be a service

[00:33:33] [SPEAKER_07]: As a traditional wedding

[00:33:35] [SPEAKER_07]: But it will be

[00:33:37] [SPEAKER_07]: A blessing

[00:33:39] [SPEAKER_07]: What do you think

[00:33:40] [SPEAKER_07]: About the head of the Catholic church?

[00:33:45] [SPEAKER_07]: Asking his staff

[00:33:47] [SPEAKER_07]: Our priests

[00:33:48] [SPEAKER_07]: To make that blessing

[00:33:51] [SPEAKER_07]: To a same-sex couple-peater

[00:33:54] [SPEAKER_08]: I would

[00:33:55] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, it's very simple, no

[00:33:58] [SPEAKER_08]: It's that simple

[00:33:59] [SPEAKER_08]: I would like to

[00:34:02] [SPEAKER_08]: I will answer in more detail

[00:34:04] [SPEAKER_08]: But there's two things

[00:34:05] [SPEAKER_08]: I would like to say

[00:34:08] [SPEAKER_08]: Is here in Blackpool

[00:34:10] [SPEAKER_08]: During the Pride March

[00:34:13] [SPEAKER_08]: They actually have

[00:34:15] [SPEAKER_08]: A six-foot

[00:34:17] [SPEAKER_08]: Alcoholic and effigy

[00:34:19] [SPEAKER_08]: Which is clearly

[00:34:21] [SPEAKER_08]: Supposed to be Jesus

[00:34:24] [SPEAKER_08]: With a six-coloured

[00:34:26] [SPEAKER_08]: Satanic rainbow sash

[00:34:29] [SPEAKER_08]: Wrapped around him

[00:34:30] [SPEAKER_08]: Talking about offensive

[00:34:33] [SPEAKER_08]: There's not much more offensive than that

[00:34:36] [SPEAKER_08]: Completely, utterly unacceptable

[00:34:39] [SPEAKER_08]: But upon remarking

[00:34:41] [SPEAKER_08]: About that

[00:34:42] [SPEAKER_08]: I was actually told to shut up

[00:34:44] [SPEAKER_08]: It's none of your business

[00:34:45] [SPEAKER_08]: To which I replied well

[00:34:47] [SPEAKER_08]: As a believer and a follower

[00:34:48] [SPEAKER_08]: Of Jesus Christ of Nazareth

[00:34:49] [SPEAKER_08]: It is my issue to ask you

[00:34:53] [SPEAKER_08]: It is down to me to ask you

[00:34:55] [SPEAKER_08]: But, yeah

[00:34:59] [SPEAKER_08]: I do

[00:34:59] [SPEAKER_08]: As you know, I am an ordained minister

[00:35:02] [SPEAKER_08]: Recently I was asked to

[00:35:04] [SPEAKER_08]: To do a believer's baptism

[00:35:06] [SPEAKER_08]: To perform a believer's baptism

[00:35:07] [SPEAKER_08]: With a man who is openly gay

[00:35:10] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm married to a man

[00:35:11] [SPEAKER_08]: And I said no

[00:35:14] [SPEAKER_08]: I was asked why

[00:35:16] [SPEAKER_08]: And that's a bit because

[00:35:17] [SPEAKER_08]: It's not correct

[00:35:19] [SPEAKER_08]: It's the same

[00:35:20] [SPEAKER_08]: I would do the same

[00:35:21] [SPEAKER_08]: If I was asked to marry a same-sex couple

[00:35:23] [SPEAKER_08]: I would say no

[00:35:29] [SPEAKER_08]: We can talk about it

[00:35:31] [SPEAKER_08]: We can discuss scripture

[00:35:32] [SPEAKER_08]: Saying why it's wrong

[00:35:36] [SPEAKER_08]: But it's not something I would do

[00:35:39] [SPEAKER_08]: And I think

[00:35:40] [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, I was brought up like you

[00:35:42] [SPEAKER_08]: Was a practising Catholic

[00:35:44] [SPEAKER_08]: I wouldn't identify as a Catholic now

[00:35:47] [SPEAKER_08]: I just identify as a believer

[00:35:48] [SPEAKER_08]: And a follower of Jesus Christ

[00:35:50] [SPEAKER_08]: It's not a cop-out

[00:35:51] [SPEAKER_08]: It's just what I am

[00:35:53] [SPEAKER_08]: I would love for the Pope

[00:35:57] [SPEAKER_08]: Who is obviously

[00:35:59] [SPEAKER_08]: Hugely recognised throughout the world

[00:36:01] [SPEAKER_08]: In the Christian nature of people

[00:36:05] [SPEAKER_08]: I'd love for him to stand his ground

[00:36:07] [SPEAKER_08]: To stand firm on God's word

[00:36:11] [SPEAKER_08]: And just say, it's wrong

[00:36:14] [SPEAKER_08]: Because it is wrong

[00:36:16] [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, you know

[00:36:17] [SPEAKER_08]: These things spill out

[00:36:19] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know if you're aware

[00:36:21] [SPEAKER_08]: There was a book release not long ago

[00:36:23] [SPEAKER_08]: Called This Day in June

[00:36:25] [SPEAKER_08]: It's aimed at 10 to 11 years

[00:36:27] [SPEAKER_08]: 11 year olds

[00:36:28] [SPEAKER_08]: And it's full of drawings

[00:36:31] [SPEAKER_08]: Of gay pride and parades

[00:36:33] [SPEAKER_08]: And I just think that sort of imagery

[00:36:36] [SPEAKER_08]: Would normalise children

[00:36:38] [SPEAKER_08]: To these, you know, overtly sexual celebration

[00:36:42] [SPEAKER_08]: Of unbiblical values

[00:36:45] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know

[00:36:46] [SPEAKER_08]: I've not seen

[00:36:48] [SPEAKER_07]: I've not seen that book

[00:36:50] [SPEAKER_07]: But I know

[00:36:51] [SPEAKER_07]: That there is a movement around the world

[00:36:54] [SPEAKER_07]: To educate

[00:36:57] [SPEAKER_07]: Children

[00:36:57] [SPEAKER_07]: At the age of 8, 9, 10, 11

[00:37:01] [SPEAKER_07]: About the LGBT community

[00:37:05] [SPEAKER_07]: When children haven't even

[00:37:09] [SPEAKER_07]: Learned

[00:37:09] [SPEAKER_07]: Simple arithmetic

[00:37:10] [SPEAKER_07]: Geography, science at that age

[00:37:13] [SPEAKER_07]: They're not educated enough

[00:37:15] [SPEAKER_07]: To make those decisions

[00:37:16] [SPEAKER_07]: They even went as far as to say

[00:37:19] [SPEAKER_07]: That if a child approaches a teacher

[00:37:23] [SPEAKER_07]: And says

[00:37:25] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm in the wrong body

[00:37:27] [SPEAKER_07]: I should do this

[00:37:28] [SPEAKER_07]: I should be that

[00:37:29] [SPEAKER_07]: I feel this

[00:37:30] [SPEAKER_07]: I feel that

[00:37:31] [SPEAKER_07]: The teacher is not allowed

[00:37:34] [SPEAKER_07]: By law

[00:37:35] [SPEAKER_07]: To discuss that with the child's family

[00:37:39] [SPEAKER_07]: Surely

[00:37:41] [SPEAKER_07]: Sexuality and discussions like that

[00:37:43] [SPEAKER_07]: I had discussions with my children

[00:37:46] [SPEAKER_07]: When they were at the right age

[00:37:48] [SPEAKER_07]: Along with my wife

[00:37:49] [SPEAKER_07]: That is a thing for the family

[00:37:52] [SPEAKER_07]: To discuss

[00:37:53] [SPEAKER_07]: For the family to guide

[00:37:57] [SPEAKER_07]: If necessary

[00:37:59] [SPEAKER_07]: For the church certainly to help

[00:38:01] [SPEAKER_07]: Parents

[00:38:02] [SPEAKER_07]: To guide their children

[00:38:03] [SPEAKER_07]: It is not a job

[00:38:05] [SPEAKER_07]: Of a woke government

[00:38:07] [SPEAKER_07]: To decree

[00:38:08] [SPEAKER_07]: That teachers should not discuss that with the family

[00:38:11] [SPEAKER_07]: But instead discuss that with

[00:38:14] [SPEAKER_07]: Professionals

[00:38:15] [SPEAKER_07]: Who give them the right to be professional

[00:38:20] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, they're a teacher

[00:38:22] [SPEAKER_08]: They're not mad

[00:38:24] [SPEAKER_08]: I believe that sort of thing

[00:38:27] [SPEAKER_08]: Should be teaching that thing

[00:38:29] [SPEAKER_08]: He's down to the parents

[00:38:31] [SPEAKER_08]: Parents should teach that

[00:38:33] [SPEAKER_08]: I mean if one of my

[00:38:35] [SPEAKER_08]: Sons or my daughter came home

[00:38:37] [SPEAKER_08]: And said

[00:38:38] [SPEAKER_08]: Dad, I think I'm born in the wrong body

[00:38:42] [SPEAKER_08]: You know

[00:38:44] [SPEAKER_08]: Let's just go look in the mirror

[00:38:46] [SPEAKER_08]: What do you see

[00:38:48] [SPEAKER_08]: You are a man

[00:38:51] [SPEAKER_08]: You've got an Adam's apple

[00:38:53] [SPEAKER_08]: I remember changing your nappy

[00:38:55] [SPEAKER_08]: I certainly saw your penis

[00:38:58] [SPEAKER_08]: You're definitely male

[00:39:02] [SPEAKER_07]: I know I can see from Ron

[00:39:05] [SPEAKER_07]: That there may be a commercial break

[00:39:07] [SPEAKER_07]: Coming up soon

[00:39:08] [SPEAKER_07]: But before that commercial break

[00:39:09] [SPEAKER_07]: And I'll leave you with this fort

[00:39:11] [SPEAKER_07]: About 30 minutes ago

[00:39:13] [SPEAKER_07]: Ron played amazing grace

[00:39:16] [SPEAKER_07]: Beautiful him

[00:39:17] [SPEAKER_07]: And I think at this moment

[00:39:19] [SPEAKER_07]: It is very appropriate

[00:39:20] [SPEAKER_07]: Just to think about

[00:39:22] [SPEAKER_07]: One line in that beautiful him

[00:39:27] [SPEAKER_07]: I do believe that these people

[00:39:29] [SPEAKER_07]: That we're discussing tonight

[00:39:30] [SPEAKER_07]: On this show

[00:39:31] [SPEAKER_07]: They are lost souls

[00:39:34] [SPEAKER_07]: An amazing grace talks about

[00:39:36] [SPEAKER_07]: Them being lost

[00:39:39] [SPEAKER_07]: Needing saving

[00:39:40] [SPEAKER_07]: And to be found again

[00:39:42] [SPEAKER_07]: So yeah

[00:39:43] [SPEAKER_07]: Dear listeners

[00:39:44] [SPEAKER_07]: We do not hate these people

[00:39:47] [SPEAKER_07]: We believe they are lost

[00:39:49] [SPEAKER_07]: We believe their souls

[00:39:51] [SPEAKER_07]: Are there to be saved

[00:39:53] [SPEAKER_08]: Peter

[00:39:57] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to go back to that Paul

[00:39:58] [SPEAKER_08]: And we're going to come back in another

[00:40:00] [SPEAKER_08]: Minutes Paul

[00:40:00] [SPEAKER_08]: And I would like to discuss one more

[00:40:02] [SPEAKER_08]: Thing with you before

[00:40:04] [SPEAKER_08]: I let you open another bottle of wine

[00:40:07] [SPEAKER_16]: I can do all things through Christ

[00:40:10] [SPEAKER_16]: Who strengthens me

[00:42:32] [SPEAKER_09]: So don't give up

[00:42:34] [SPEAKER_14]: This is Apostle Ellis L. Smith of Jubilee City Church

[00:42:38] [SPEAKER_14]: And you're listening to the Ron Edwards American Experience

[00:42:43] [SPEAKER_18]: Who is this King of glory

[00:42:46] [SPEAKER_18]: Son of God and Son of Man

[00:42:53] [SPEAKER_18]: Is Jesus

[00:42:59] [SPEAKER_18]: Precious Jesus

[00:43:02] [SPEAKER_18]: Lord Almighty

[00:43:05] [SPEAKER_18]: King of my heart

[00:43:37] [SPEAKER_08]: King of my heart

[00:43:40] [SPEAKER_08]: And you know, during that time there was a committee formed.

[00:43:45] [SPEAKER_08]: And I think it was L. Cray Schoonmaker, if I've said his name right,

[00:43:50] [SPEAKER_08]: who would suggest Gay Pride as a name for this group.

[00:43:55] [SPEAKER_08]: Now there's an interview you can find on social media from 2015

[00:44:00] [SPEAKER_08]: where he argued that anyone can have pride in themselves.

[00:44:07] [SPEAKER_08]: Now he was asked if the word pride was still necessary.

[00:44:10] [SPEAKER_08]: And he said, hold definitely, absolutely.

[00:44:13] [SPEAKER_08]: It works internally and it makes people more self-assertive.

[00:44:18] [SPEAKER_08]: That's what really is going to make the change in people's lives.

[00:44:25] [SPEAKER_08]: So I'd just like to ask you Paul again,

[00:44:27] [SPEAKER_08]: and I'm probably putting you on the spot here.

[00:44:30] [SPEAKER_08]: What I'm seeing with the Pride movement and the marches,

[00:44:34] [SPEAKER_08]: they're very quick to be preaching, if you will, inclusivity.

[00:44:41] [SPEAKER_08]: And you've got to accept.

[00:44:44] [SPEAKER_08]: Now what I see, if I'm perfectly honest, a message of exclusivity.

[00:44:52] [SPEAKER_08]: Because it's Gay Pride.

[00:44:55] [SPEAKER_08]: And as I'm not gay, however, if I was in the 60s,

[00:44:59] [SPEAKER_08]: I'd be gay because I'm happy.

[00:45:02] [SPEAKER_08]: Anyway, I would not be alone into the parade.

[00:45:08] [SPEAKER_08]: What say you?

[00:45:13] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, I may get a little bit carried away here.

[00:45:18] [SPEAKER_07]: You know, Peter, you're having a party.

[00:45:19] [SPEAKER_07]: Don't be too long, we've not got long left.

[00:45:21] [SPEAKER_07]: Blue paper so to speak.

[00:45:24] [SPEAKER_07]: Setting my fuse off.

[00:45:26] [SPEAKER_07]: No, it's a very difficult subject.

[00:45:30] [SPEAKER_07]: They have a right to be proud of who they are.

[00:45:34] [SPEAKER_07]: We all do.

[00:45:36] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm proud of who I am.

[00:45:38] [SPEAKER_07]: I know you're proud of who you are,

[00:45:40] [SPEAKER_07]: and I'm very proud of who you have become.

[00:45:44] [SPEAKER_07]: But we are all entitled to be proud.

[00:45:48] [SPEAKER_07]: What we're not entitled to be

[00:45:52] [SPEAKER_07]: is put on a pedestal to be the norm.

[00:45:59] [SPEAKER_07]: In my time, I have attended a few gay pubs.

[00:46:04] [SPEAKER_07]: One not far from yourself when I was working in Blackpool,

[00:46:08] [SPEAKER_07]: the flying handbag.

[00:46:11] [SPEAKER_07]: I did have quite a few interesting conversations,

[00:46:15] [SPEAKER_07]: and there was quite a few proposals,

[00:46:18] [SPEAKER_07]: all of which I had to decline.

[00:46:21] [SPEAKER_07]: When I try to discuss with those individuals

[00:46:25] [SPEAKER_07]: about my pride, my pride in my beliefs,

[00:46:30] [SPEAKER_07]: my pride in Christianity, my pride in the love of God,

[00:46:35] [SPEAKER_07]: it's very interesting how quickly they turn the backs and walk away.

[00:46:42] [SPEAKER_07]: When you try and challenge that and ask why,

[00:46:47] [SPEAKER_07]: they don't want to listen.

[00:46:50] [SPEAKER_07]: Why do you think that is, Peter?

[00:46:54] [SPEAKER_08]: Because they don't want to change.

[00:46:55] [SPEAKER_08]: They think they're right.

[00:46:58] [SPEAKER_08]: Again, I've had many conversations myself with these people,

[00:47:02] [SPEAKER_08]: obviously where I live in Blackpool.

[00:47:06] [SPEAKER_08]: It's a massive, massive gay community

[00:47:10] [SPEAKER_08]: where they have their own little pubs, their own little shops.

[00:47:14] [SPEAKER_08]: In fact, there's one or two churches in the middle of all of that as well.

[00:47:19] [SPEAKER_08]: But he is another thing.

[00:47:22] [SPEAKER_08]: The council here in Blackpool.

[00:47:25] [SPEAKER_08]: Why have they painted, I don't know in America

[00:47:28] [SPEAKER_08]: whether this would actually translate correctly,

[00:47:31] [SPEAKER_08]: a crossing point in the UK is called a zebra crossing,

[00:47:34] [SPEAKER_08]: of course, because it's black and white.

[00:47:37] [SPEAKER_08]: Why have they now been coloured in six-coloured rainbows?

[00:47:43] [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, as a motorist, do I not have to stop at this anymore

[00:47:45] [SPEAKER_08]: because it's not black and white?

[00:47:49] [SPEAKER_07]: The world itself is not black and white anymore, am I afraid?

[00:47:53] [SPEAKER_07]: Well, you could ask yourself, Peter, many questions about this.

[00:47:57] [SPEAKER_07]: For instance, you said earlier on about children being taught in schools

[00:48:02] [SPEAKER_07]: about LGBT denominations, all 24 of them.

[00:48:08] [SPEAKER_07]: What happens to being taught in school

[00:48:12] [SPEAKER_07]: about the meaning of Easter and Christmas?

[00:48:16] [SPEAKER_07]: I have this discussion many times in my employment.

[00:48:20] [SPEAKER_07]: We currently put on a pedestal and teach our staff about Ramadan,

[00:48:26] [SPEAKER_07]: about Eid, to try and understand about them.

[00:48:32] [SPEAKER_07]: We were sent emails about how to understand

[00:48:36] [SPEAKER_07]: what Muslims are going through during Ramadan.

[00:48:38] [SPEAKER_07]: We're fasting and now it may impact on their work.

[00:48:44] [SPEAKER_07]: I asked the question, well, surely during Easter

[00:48:48] [SPEAKER_07]: I fast also.

[00:48:51] [SPEAKER_07]: Why don't you tell everybody in the business and our communities

[00:48:55] [SPEAKER_07]: to be careful about all our Christians who may be fasting during Easter?

[00:49:02] [SPEAKER_07]: Again, I was likely put back in my box.

[00:49:08] [SPEAKER_07]: We seem to have forgotten about teaching about the majority of people's beliefs

[00:49:17] [SPEAKER_07]: in the United States and in Great Britain.

[00:49:22] [SPEAKER_07]: Minorities are ruling and you've got to ask yourself the question,

[00:49:27] [SPEAKER_07]: why are our politicians so scared of making a stance?

[00:49:36] [SPEAKER_08]: Indeed, it's a very good point.

[00:49:38] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, sadly we're nearly out of time,

[00:49:41] [SPEAKER_08]: but I'd like to offer Paul the chance to pray.

[00:49:47] [SPEAKER_08]: But in the meantime, I would like to just offer what may be a solution

[00:49:54] [SPEAKER_08]: as far as the church and the body of Christ is concerned.

[00:49:58] [SPEAKER_08]: And of course that can only be done in prayer,

[00:50:02] [SPEAKER_08]: but I would like to say this.

[00:50:04] [SPEAKER_08]: My prayer, when I'm going to read,

[00:50:08] [SPEAKER_08]: I just think that the LGBTQ plus and there's a lot of churches that affirm

[00:50:14] [SPEAKER_08]: and time with this in the UK.

[00:50:16] [SPEAKER_08]: And then in the world, I would like them to rethink.

[00:50:19] [SPEAKER_08]: I would like them to change their current position regarding pride

[00:50:22] [SPEAKER_08]: and the LGBT plus issues.

[00:50:26] [SPEAKER_08]: Paul, would you just like to say a quick prayer for just for a few seconds?

[00:50:31] [SPEAKER_08]: And then we should, well, sadly, we're going to have to go.

[00:50:35] [SPEAKER_07]: We ask you, Almighty God, to take care of each and every one of us

[00:50:40] [SPEAKER_07]: who may love you in different ways.

[00:50:45] [SPEAKER_07]: Please, Lord, put your blessings upon politicians

[00:50:50] [SPEAKER_07]: and church leaders around the world

[00:50:53] [SPEAKER_07]: and give them your wisdom to make the right decisions

[00:50:58] [SPEAKER_07]: that affect all of our lives in the coming years.

[00:51:02] [SPEAKER_07]: We ask this in Christ our Lord.

[00:51:07] [SPEAKER_08]: Amen, thank you Paul.

[00:51:09] [SPEAKER_08]: So there we go folks, probably a topic you may not have been ready to hear about

[00:51:14] [SPEAKER_08]: or prepared for, but do you know what?

[00:51:17] [SPEAKER_08]: We need to talk about this because it affects everyone's lives.

[00:51:22] [SPEAKER_08]: And you know, in school, man, they even have LGBT clubs in schools.

[00:51:27] [SPEAKER_08]: They're teaching children that you can identify as whatever you wish to do.

[00:51:33] [SPEAKER_08]: So for today, I've identified as Ron Edwards.

[00:51:37] [SPEAKER_08]: So thank you everybody for listening.

[00:51:41] [SPEAKER_08]: And if you've got any complaints about what has been said today,

[00:51:45] [SPEAKER_08]: we've only quoted scripture.

[00:51:46] [SPEAKER_08]: We've said what we believe to be correct.

[00:51:49] [SPEAKER_08]: And you can email somebody else, but certainly not us here.

[00:51:54] [SPEAKER_08]: So thank you dear listeners and God bless America and the UK.

[00:52:01] [SPEAKER_08]: Thank you for listening.

[00:52:03] [SPEAKER_08]: I've been Pete Cunningham from Blackpool in the UK.

[00:52:06] [SPEAKER_08]: And you've been listening to Faith Friday.

[00:52:09] [SPEAKER_08]: God bless you all.
