Ladies and gentlemen, It's the Ron Edwards American Experience Talk Show, where our unalienable rights are celebrated. And now, your radio refreshment, Ron Edwards. Ooh! Welcome, welcome to the Ron Edwards American Experience. I'm Ron Edwards, and thanks for tuning in from throughout America and around the world. Well, you just heard at the top of the hour news that the U.S. poverty rate fell to the lowest level on record in 2025, while median household income has climbed to record highs, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The official poverty rate dropped 0.5 percentage points to 10.2% a year ago, leaving 34.5 million people in poverty. That's according to data released by the Bureau. Now, the decline was the second consecutive annual drop and the lowest rate since the agency began tracking the measure. While median household income rose 2.6% to $ 87, 460, the highest on record, dating all the way back to 1967, the White House hailed the figure, which covered the first year of President Donald Trump's second term. President Trump has proven once again that his economic agenda is good for the country. delivering historic working-class prosperity in his first year back in office. Now, imagine if the president were allowed to fully implement his tariffs. Now, history proves that tariffs are one of the top ways that America became rich and can be wealthy again at an even higher rate than even during the Great Gilded Age, with record high tariffs. Real income and record low poverty rates, breaking the records he set during his first term. Amazing, amazing stuff. And yet the Federal Reserve wanted to raise interest rates. Now, the excuse for the higher interest rates is, of course, they say, well, we have to tamp down inflation. Well, in my humble opinion, okay, they should have at least left the rates where they were or lowered them 25%. basis points. The reason why, because just, you know, a quarter percent like that wouldn't be much, but it would be enough to maybe make up for some of the tariffs that have been blocked by these black-robed, gone-wild judges. Just enough. Or the least, very least, they should have left it where it was. But, things being the way they are, I believe the economy will continue to chug along. The only problem I have is that if these interest rates are allowed to remain this high for too long, it will bring to a halt building projects around the country, both industrial and other types, such as new office buildings, etc., and things like that, major projects that I see that are slated to... began for cities like Cleveland, New York, and others that are, you know, they're getting ready to embark upon billions and billions of building projects, Cincinnati, and each of those cities that I just named, over $ 3 billion of new construction within the next few years, slated. Now, that could be delayed because of these higher interest rates. And they also, you know, they point to the war in Iran. Yeah, that's a pain in the neck. Yeah, it's a bit of a situation when you go to the pump and, yeah, the gas is higher. But I'd rather have some prices that are a little higher, in some cases a lot higher, but everything else is still moving ahead in a positive light. jobs being produced, things being built, general prosperity continue to grow because the poverty rate is shrinking. See, those are the things that we should be more concerned about building. And if you really want to tamp down inflation, Federal Reserve, and you people on the Federal Reserve know this, okay, you need to have a real heart-to-heart talk with Mike Johnson and the gang over there in Congress and say, hey, wait a minute, fellas. And gals, how about slowing down your spending, the rate of your spending? And if you really want this economy to really grow like crazy, all you have to do is go back to the spending levels of 2019 before the Corona China virus, scandemic, and all that that happened. Just back to the spending level of that time. With the continued prosperity and the allowing of taxes, the deficit would take care of itself. It would greatly depreciate and be gone within a few years. And now that is a very simple, very doable solution. Very doable. Very doable. Not difficult. It's not something that calls for Massive sacrifice for the American people. What will be sacrificed, okay, is prosperity, jobs, growth, etc., if these interest rates are allowed to remain high for too long. Now, this is a gamble right here. Now, those higher interest rates should only be allowed to stay at that level until, at the very longest, at the next appointed time, that the Federal Reserve has to either lower or increase the rates at the next appointed time. But I would lower them even before that date. Because if you really want to tamp down inflation, you have to tamp down rampant government spending because it's the government spending. And wait a minute. Oh, wait a minute. The Federal Reserve has to stop printing money money, that is fiat money, into oblivion. They are also a cause of it. They print so much money that because it's not worth anything other than what we say or they say, the value of the U.S. dollar continues to reduce. You know, you look at the spending power of a dollar today as opposed to how it was during the Kennedy administration. And it's because it's been overproduced. Now, of course, they don't talk about this on major networks or in the government because, A, they never want you to really know about real solutions that are just easy peasy to do. And trust me when I say this. There's a lot of people in Congress that are angry over the fact that the majority of the elements of the economy are doing very well. Because it is the literal goal of the Federal Reserve and many in Congress to make sure that things do not go well only to harm the Trump administration so that incurably ignorant masses of voters would go in another direction so as to bring about more misery even greater than what we went through during the You know, three Ali Obama terms. The first two original Ali Obama terms and then Ali Obama Biden. Yeah. It's a battle between those that want to continue the greatness of America and land of opportunity for we the people and those who want to wipe that out and make this a huge republic of misery. It's a shame that it's gotten down to that. But that is the reality of today. And so it's basically coming down to which side will win. Those who want a greater America, a better America, a strong America, or those who want what was present under the Uncle Joe Biden administration. And so, those of us who want better for not only ourselves, but for our generations to come, we have to do a better job of acting like that's what we want. Making sure that now that Johnson has sent the Congress people home that we get their attention. That they're not just here to convince. Us, oh, vote for us, vote for us. But we have to remind. Them, it doesn't matter if it's North America, Latin America, or South America. It's the Ron Edwards American experience emanating from the United States of America and throughout the world. Making the strong case why Democrats should never, ever, ever, ever be allowed to take control of the federal government, particularly Congress and the Senate. Hello, I'm Ron Edwards. Welcome back to the Ron Edwards American Experience. You know, the power rate for children and Hispanics just hit record lows, while the median household incomes have hit record highs. I know that everyone is bummed over higher gasoline prices, yes. We're paying between $ 5 and $ 4 to $ 5 per gallon. Driving past a gas station sign is like looking at a weather barometer for our national economy. Worse, it's also a barometer for the likely outcome of the midterm elections, and that's a shame for a number of reasons, including people should not tie the election based on how much we pay for gas, because you have to look at the broader picture, my friends. Well, the first is that as much as it sucks, and it does suck that we're paying a higher price, but it's to ensure. You know, they say that it's ensure that Iran doesn't get their hands on a nuclear bomb. But I think that even more importantly, because it's something they can do right away, to ensure that Iran is no longer in a position to finance terrorist around the world. I think that's very important too. Secondly, the debate around gas prices should be focused on the real problem that is bigger than the situation dealing with Iran. American refining capacity is a big problem. In fact, to the point it's criminal. Our pathetic, asinine refining capacity capacity is where the bottleneck raising prices is coming from. You know, America is, in fact, the United States of America is exporting oil. The real problem, my friends, is that the Democrats and RINOs and environmentalist wackos, extremists, have so terrorized the oil industry that no one is willing to open up many new refineries in America. I think that one or two are being built right now in Louisiana and Texas, that's about it. And everyone is afraid to open up a new one and much needed refinery capacity with Trump in charge because they know that if Democrats someday recapture power, they'll just make them close those refineries. They'll make them shut them down. This reality forces us as a nation to count on refineries outside of the United States. For example, California used to be self-sufficient when it comes to refining oil for that state. Okay? Well, under Governor Newsom and his predecessor, I think they shut down about 12 refineries in California alone. And so I think they have seven. They're shutting down another one soon, six. So they cannot refine enough petrol refineries for their own state. So on purpose, and this was a purposeful setup, they have to recruit oil that has to be sent elsewhere to be refined and then shipped back. That adds to the cost of gasoline prices in California, which will always remain higher than the rest of ours when ours do return to lower rates. And in fact, even those are Though ours is at a higher rate, California's is still higher than all of ours. If America had a reasonable refining capacity, Iran would have no leverage over us at all. But thanks to Democrats, or no thanks, that's the situation we find ourselves in. Oh yes, they're butt-kissing rhino friends. Now we come to the good. No great news whatsoever. About the economy, poverty rates, including for child poverty and Hispanic poverty, have just hit the lowest numbers on record. Meanwhile, median household income after inflation has hit a record high. As I stated in the first break, $ 87, 460, up $ 2, 250 from 2024 after inflation. The poverty rate fell to 10.2%, which is another record. Good news! The official poverty rate for children fell to a historic low of 13.4% in 2025, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Man, between 2024 and 2025, the official poverty rate for Hispanic individuals decreased to an historic low of 13.9% thank you capitalism what's more unless you are a crazy goofball or an addict living on the streets no one in the United States of America is truly poor anymore let's get real Look at the state of American poverty. Today, instead of a hunger problem, the poor have an obesity problem. The greatest percentage of fat people, you know, like weebles, okay? Wobbling weebles, fat people. The greatest percentage of them are among the so-called poor. Hmm. The poor also have a place to live. Central heat. A $ 1, 400 phone. The Internet, in many cases free health care, plasma televisions, a Blu-ray player, a video game console, a microwave oven. I wouldn't, but I wouldn't recommend using a microwave. And most likely, some form of air conditioning. Long ago, American capitalism had already defeated poverty. The modern-day poverty rate is just a number smaller It's a useful number, but thanks to American America, poverty ain't what it used to be. And that's a lovely thing. The only thing that the people have to worry about that live in so-called poverty, maybe clean up, be a little more neat in their homes and outside of their homes. Yeah. Many of us, I would say 80% of all Americans have had days where You know, things were kind of lean. But in some cases, you didn't always know it because they carried themselves with dignity. Their homes were still clean. And they didn't allow themselves to reflect their hard times that they were going through. And those are the kind of people that get out of those hard times. Ask me how I know. Been there, done that. And so, it is what it is. It depends on what people want. And see, these are the kinds of things that we should be building on. We should be celebrating this. This is the kind of stuff, these are the messages that the Republicans should be getting out bigly to the American people. At the same time, see, they've got to do this creatively and simultaneously. Get that good news out there, just bang away with it. Bang away. While at the same time, pointing out the truth about the opposition. Oh yeah. About the opposition and their friends. Like Hassan Parker, Piker rather, who claims that America is worse than Al-Qaeda, has caused tremendous terror all around the world. Yeah, America has created tremendous terror against terrorists, against people that think like he does. And prayerfully, I hope America continues to be terror against terrorists. If we would really buck up in our country, someone like him would be deported. I would get him the hell out of here. And while we're at it, I would also clean up our nation's education system. Because we're in a kind of an emergency situation. when it comes to the education system of our country. Peter Schweitzer, he said that American children are getting dumber, and that's true. In this age of computers and AI, and on the other side of the break, I'll give
