This is the Roundover's American Experience, and this is Faith Day. And thanks for joining us on this wonderful day in the neighborhood. And boy, we've got a lot of subject matter to talk about today. And in a little bit, after the first break, we're going to be engaging with our guest today for Faith Day, Pastor Earl Wallace. And, yeah, it's going to be a pretty good discussion. One of the things I'm going to be talking to him about is I want to get his opinion on what role that we Christians should be playing in society. Should we have positions of authority? Should we be involved in politics? Should we be involved in the education system? Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. Because we all know that ever since... Christian principles have been kicked out of whatever entity in our, here in our country, the quality of those particular entities have, uh, gone down immeasurably, especially education. And so, um, you have a lot of Christians, some well-known famous preachers who think that it's, uh, we should ignore politics. We should ignore, uh, goings on in our Republic. I think that's ignorant. I think that's stupid. Um, It borders on retardation. Because if you don't know your rights, for example, you don't have any. So to want to be purposefully ignorant about what's going on in society, how can a Christian pray about society if they're not involved, if they don't give a rip about it? And then if they don't give a rip about their society, how do they expect the society to respect their inalienable rights, which do come from God? And that's another matter. Many Americans mistakenly believe that their rights do come from government when that is not the case. The government of the United States of America and your local government, they're in a position to recognize, to honor your rights, your inalienable rights, and to protect them from those who would try to wipe your rights away. For instance, there are many people that want to get rid of your Second Amendment right. Many people want to get rid of your right or freedom of religion. The freedom to honor Jesus Christ in our society openly. A lot of people want to get rid of that. I say, how dare they even think about it? But then there are these queered out Christians who are basically wimpish Americanus apologeticus types who either are cowardly or they don't care. And I think they're just as dangerous as any rhino you can find or any Democrat you can find. And so I just, you know, we're going to be talking about that. And I think that personally, it's very important that we maintain our status as sovereign Americans, just as well as anyone else. You know, We are in the world. We don't have to be of the world, but we have to be in the world and function. I mean, to me, it is retarded to not be involved in society as it is to not get a job, not clean your house, not take a shower, not brush your teeth every day. I mean, if you want to be so ridiculous that. You're not to be involved in society and involved in, in the things in this part of life. It would just take it all the way to the, to the, to the extreme. Of course, I'm joking, of course, but, uh, Hey, there have been sets. They call themselves Christians in the past. They believed in that. The shakers, the Quakers, the many nights. So it's not like I'm, uh, you know, being far-fetched here. But yeah, we're going to be talking about that. And there's something that is very, very important, in my humble opinion. We understand that the president has constitutionally a very large amount of authority in our country. Not to the point where he's a dictator and He can just say something and it's just done if it goes against our rights like a king would in medieval times. But he does have a certain amount of authority. For example, according to Article 2, he has the right to make appointments, judicial and otherwise, departments of government. He has the right to bring forth executive orders. He has the right to do all those things. But what is bothersome is every time a black robe gone wild leftist judge decides, oh, you know what? I don't like that. So I'm going to rule and say that he doesn't have the constitutional right to do that. This is happening almost every day with President Trump. Now, I feel that that no judge in the United States of America has the authority to stop a president from doing the rightful things that they're doing based upon their political leanings. And if they're blocking the president from doing what's good for our country, such as with the border or getting the illegals out of our country that have been harming us, any judge that rules against the president doing his rightful duties should be removed from the bench. Judges recently in University Heights, Ohio, ruled that a man cannot have a private prayer session in his home. You can do anything else. Whatever you want to do. Some neighbor complained about neighbors praying in his home. You know, leftists, if they don't like something, they don't want you to do it. You know, just like I saw a video of a young lady, she was in class, I guess it was a break time or something, she was reading her Bible, and the student next to her grabbed the Bible and slammed it on the ground. Teacher kicked her out, but the fact of the matter is, people, you know, it's one thing to not agree with something and not participate because you don't like it. But when you decide, well, because I don't like it, I don't want you to exercise your freedom, your liberty, to acknowledge God, then we have a big problem. And there's a growing number of people in this country that have that attitude, and I think it's very dangerous. I'm going to be talking to our guests today about that as well, after the break. His name is Earl Wallace, Pastor Earl Wallace, and he's a semi-frequent visitor to the broadcast, and we want to welcome him. Hello, sir, and Once again, welcome to the Ron Edwards American Experience. Hi, Ron. How are you doing? Thank you for having me on your show. It's a pleasure, sir. Doing great. Before I get to some of the other things I wanted to talk to you about, there is a very important need for accountability in this country. I'm sure you're well aware of the Clancy case where the mother dearest murdered three of her three children, because she got tired of them. And because increasingly in our country, you have this selective attitude of accountability or lack of accountability. Whatever the favored group is of the leftist, they don't have to, in their addled brains, face accountability for their actions. even unto death, which is the case. Now, in a place where there still is justice, there's another mother that killed her baby, throwing him into the dumpster. Now she's going to be in jail for life with no chance of parole. So that's why I say there's these selective pockets in America where there's no accountability for certain groups, mainly females. And I find this, I can't say amazing because that would be a positive word, but I just find it very disheartening in a sense that we have such an almost a decapitation attitude when it comes towards morality, right and wrong. And, you know, it's of course stemmed from kicking the word of God out of society, beginning in kicking it out of the schools, et cetera, then bringing on the industry of death, via abortion and all the things that have come after that. So what say you? Well, I think you're 100% correct, Ron. My perspective is America's struggle is between people who have a Ten Commandments value system and those who don't. There are some people who believe Ten Commandments number six that thou shall not murder. And by that commandment, God gives all of us the right to not be murdered. That also includes we don't want to see people assaulted because you don't know when a fist punch or a rock throw or a bottle throw is going to end up in somebody being murdered. There are those of us who believe that's wrong, period. And other people believe that if I don't like what you're saying or doing or, like you said, perhaps with this woman and her children, I have the right to kill you, to murder you. And the people on that jury who apparently wanted to acquit her from day one, if you listen to the one jurist who has a Ten Commandments value system, a Catholic man with a Ten Commandments value system, and he just held his ground, thank God. And our challenge is, you know, at Liberty Christian Fellowship, we have an initiative. We're trying to get Ten Commandments signs, posters, billboards, posters, We've approached a couple municipalities about posting the Ten Commandments. I once did a full police department training program, except for the officers they had to have on the street at that time. And during the Q & A, they said, how do we implement this? I said, put Ten Commandments billboards at either end of the main thoroughfares in your city. Let people know what the rules are. I was once addressing the Albany Police Department at a park in Albany, and... told them the same thing. We the people have these rights, and you're the first line of defense. And at the time, their commissioner, who had been brought in from Chicago, was standing not even like 15 feet from me. I'm on microphone, maybe 20 feet from me. And I told those officers, about 30 of them, that if you want to safeguard the public and secure our Ten Commandments rights, not be murdered, swindled, lied to, stolen from, etc., then you're going to have to be willing to disobey your wicked commissioner and the wicked mayor who hired him. And that's our struggle. And we have too many people, and like you said, within churches, we teach that we're not under the law. And we don't distinguish that there is the eternal moral law of the Ten Commandments, which are actually also reflected in the Sermon on the Mount. You know, Jesus says, I didn't come to abolish, I came to fulfill. He says, you've heard it said. said that, thou shalt not murder. But when my Holy Spirit is within you, I'm paraphrasing, my Holy Spirit will convict you of being angry at certain people so that you won't get into the situation that leads to murder. You've heard it say, thou shalt not commit adultery. But when my Holy Spirit is within you, he will convict you of looking long, Lee, for too long at a person of the opposite sex. Now we've got to see even a person of the same sex. And, um, so that you can avoid the conversations that will lead to adultery or rape or whatever. which is not a conversation. It's an act of violence. Now, you know, I was once doing a program down in Blue Point, Long Island, and a lady came up and spoke with me, and someone whispered in my ear, she's the head of the LBGT whatever down here, and I believe that lady came to Christ that day, and people whispered in my ear. You know, she said, well, I was born this way. And people said, she wasn't born that way. You got to tell her. And I'm like, you know, during the break, she kept coming to me. And I said, I don't care how you feel you were born. If you want to live godly, then you have to live celibate. I had to do that when I was single. And I'm just, you know, in my younger life, I was an incredible whoremonger. And God, you know, the Holy Spirit gets inside of you. It wasn't satisfying me anyway. You know, the world has gone crazy after sex, drugs, and rap and roll. They've gone helter-skelter after sex, drugs, and rap and roll. They don't want sex. You're being crazed, the agape love of God. You don't want drugs and booze. That's really a cry or an activity designed for you to find, you think where you think you're going to find the peace that passes all understanding. And you really don't want this crazy lifestyle that causes you to fracture all your earthly relationships and wound them and injure them and yourself. You're looking for a lifestyle of joy. The Bible says the joy of the Lord is our strength. You only get to the love, peace, and joy by cooperating with God's plan through Jesus Christ for your life. And I think that's our struggle. And I think when it comes to accountability, the people that have a Ten Commandments value system, they have the clarity to administer accountability. And the other people, they play situational ethics. I like this person's politics. We believe that abortion... It's a woman's right. I've been saying for 30 years, you keep murdering babies within the womb pretty soon when you get outside the womb. And we haven't respected children for a very long time. Look at our educational system. And now people are advocating to kill kids. Did I lose you? Yeah, I'm just listening. Yeah, you're right about killing children. In the Netherlands, it's now legal to kill your child up to the age of 12. For years, it was up to the age of three. And now it's up to the age of 12. So you could get angry at your child in the Netherlands. And let's say they get a cold. You can literally take your child to the hospital with a cold and say, you know what? They're having too much of a problem, in my opinion. And they will take their child forcibly. into the back and give them a deadly shot and that's it. And Canada, you know, they're allowed to kill outside the womb now. And it's just a matter of time before states here in this country start enacting similar laws unless, I have to throw an unless in there, unless we, the people of God, start rising up now, those of us who do pray against these things continue to do so, And don't let up. And maybe we can prevent and stop that from happening and growing in this country. But we'll see. As we're heading towards a break, we've got about 30 seconds, I guess. You want to hit that real quick, Pastor Earl? I think that if the rapture occurred tomorrow and all us Christians were taken away, you can see how rapidly the world would turn vicious. But before then... In the meantime, we really, really, really should be standing in the gap. The Bible says that if the barriers are broken down, what can the righteous do? Well, just rebuild the foundations are destroyed. What can the righteous do? That's a rhetorical question. Let's just rebuild the foundation. Let's get The Ten Commandments back into the mainstream of our society as the value system. They're non-negotiables. God's going to judge us by those Ten Commandments. They enumerate our inalienable rights. They also tell us where we're sinners, where we're sinning against God. Absolutely. We'll hold it right there. We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. Pastor Earl Wallace is our guest today, and he is a student from studying the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, as well as the Bible. Pastor Earl, I believe that the Constitution should be required reading not only in schools. I think Constitutions should be found in our churches as well. Now, I have mentioned this to some ministers in the past, and you know what they told me? In fact, it's such a wild statement. I'll give you an opportunity to guess what they told me. That that would be Christian nationalism. Or that Jesus did not. He said, my kingdom is not of this world. Therefore, he would have never made a Christian nation. That's one of them. And the other one, which I thought was even more ignorant. We're not supposed to talk politics in church. I like that accent. I'm terrible at accents. My grandkids, one of my kids, my children, they can do everything. No, that's Scottish. That's Irish. And they can do all these accents. All mine come out the same, so I don't even try. I like doing certain accents, especially when I know it's going to irritate. And I know I shouldn't. Anyway, I like to have fun. How about that? But you know. Have fun. Who cares if they're offended? Exactly. They've destroyed so much of life already. I'm not doing that. You mentioned going into the break about the rapture. Now, I'm of the contention. I kind of sit on the fence when it comes to the rapture, and I'll tell you why. Because on one hand. What fence are you on? Are you pre-post-trib or you don't think the rapture is going to even happen? So I'm explaining. On one hand, I'm like, hey, that's great. Okay, let's bring it on. I hope it happens real quick. The sooner the better. And then on. The other hand, it's like, oh, man, when is it going to happen? And then I look in the Bible, I look through and through and through. Where is it? Where is it? Oh, where can I find the rapture? I keep looking and I don't find it. So I have these three positions here. But my contention is that since that's not the hill to die on, whether that dictates whether you go to heaven or hell or not. So I'm like, you know what? I'm going to carry myself or and I believe that we in Christendom should carry ourselves as if. the rapture may not happen. And the reason why I say that is because many people have used that as a way to figuratively sit on their Samsonite and just twiddle their thumbs and wait for the Lord to come snatch them out of here because that helps them maintain sort of a cowardly attitude or a no-caring attitude. And it's like they think, well, if I just sit here and I just ignore what's going on in the country and I think that I'm holier than thou and I just sit on my fat backside, And the Lord's going to take me away, and I'll be okay. Don't be assaulting my anatomy. My backside. Well, hey, listen, if the backside fits, wear it. Hey, if you want to know about the rapture, you go to Liberty Christian Fellowship. So I like what you always talk about, you know, the church's relationship to our government. So all religions and all philosophies, they all have social political outcomes. So if I apply the values of Islam to civics, the way we're governed, I end up in a Sharia law society. If I apply the social political outcomes of Buddhism and Hinduism, I end up in a society that is characterized by India. Look at how India is. I don't see people flocking there. A city councilwoman in Saratoga Springs told me not too terribly long ago, that your religion is not my religion. So I'm waiting to get another bite of that apple and say, well, obviously our religion is line upon line, precept upon precept. The streets are paved with gold. We've got gold, we've got paved streets. A lot of the Western civilizations, the accoutrements that we enjoy in Western civilization, they come out of the Bible. But here's the challenge. The social political outcomes of Catholicism, and I don't like to pick on Catholicism, I love Catholic people. My church is full of former Catholic people. But the challenge with that religion is that if you apply its values, you end up in a socialist dictatorship that characterizes the European states and the South American states. I have relatives that are missionaries in South America. If you apply the values of Vaticanism to civics, you end up with a Russian Orthodox church that is completely compatible with with the Russian form of communism, because the Pope's a model for dictatorship. Based on the Caesars from Rome, it's called Roman Catholicism, the Caesars called themselves, you know, we're God incarnate. And the Pope says, I'm the vicar of Christ. Violation of the Ten Commandments 1 and 2, actually. And, you know, there's an equal sign in Scripture. You violate Ten Commandments 1 and 2. You ascribe the characteristics of the Trinity to that which is not the Trinity, like saying something is infallible or someone's infallible. I, the Lord, get insulted and I overthrow your nation. You know, Jesus is love. He loves us. He's not going to let those types of violations, he's not going to let unrepentant murderers into his kingdom because he doesn't want them hurting other people. Thank God for the Catholic man. He was at least, he at least believed in 10 Commandment number 6, the gentleman that stood up against the murder of those three children. So our challenge is that if you apply, here's America. If you apply the values of biblical Christianity to civics, you end up with the Declaration of Independence, our rights come from God. Calvin said that he observed the rights that God gave Adam in the Garden of Eden, and they had Ten Commandments rights. Cain killed Abel. God took issue with that. Right there, before it was written, was the natural, inalienable right to not be murdered. And God was going to punish murderers. He judges that. So our challenge is we think America was built on tolerance. It doesn't matter what religion you have. As long as you have some religion, you're compatible with America. No, not at all. Any religious person can be compatible with our beloved USA, our Constitution, providing you have a Ten Commandments value system. If you don't have a Ten Commandments value system, you are incompatible with the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights. The Bill of Rights says government shall not do these things to people. The Founding Fathers realized in Ten Commandments number six, thou shalt not murder, that God is giving everybody the right not to be murdered, so the Founding Fathers gave us the Second Amendment. I can line up all the Bill of Rights and show you which of the Ten Commandments they are safeguarding. You're absolutely correct. You know, you're absolutely correct. You're absolutely correct. Beep, beep, beep, beep. I want to jump in here real quick before we get to a break. You're absolutely correct, but I just wanted to point out that you were right about the Catholic Church and how it opens the door to socialist dictatorship, etc., etc., but the The Episcopalians have taken on that mantle. The Lutherans have taken on that. The Methodists have taken on that. It's all the denominations, basically, are socialist pigs run by people who don't even believe in the deity of Christ. So I think that disease is spread throughout the traditional denominations of the Christian faith, would say you. Absolutely. No, we're not going to agree with that. Yeah. That's why I say you have to be Bible-believing. The only people who should be administering the American government are people that are Bible-believing, born again, and by that virtue of that, none can say Jesus. Is Lord, saved by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is within us. We're not perfect, but we certainly are the best chance the world has. Because when I do something wrong, there's a Holy Spirit inside of me convicting me. Absolutely. And he can convict me according to the full counsel of God because I read the Bible. Yep. I'm not taking some church's or some man's viewpoint, or I'm not trusting somebody else for what's in the Bible. I've always been a Bible reader. Yeah. So basically, the Bible renders these denominations useful and not youthful. I mean, I'm not youthful, but... uh renders them pointless in my humble opinion and we should all just be focused on coming to christ himself without all these divisions because we're supposed to be one united body that uh you know where they they know us for our love one for another and in order to have that we've got to be in unity not divided into these different blocks of which now basically represent various levels of socialism. This is the fake day edition of the Ron Edwards American experience. A special guest today, Pastor Earl Wallace. Pastor Wallace, a bit ago we were talking about Christians being involved in society. Well, I just want to give a little historic lesson here, proving how we should be involved in society. Thomas Buxton, most people are not familiar with this gentleman. He took up the fight against slavery after William Wilberforce retired from Parliament in Great Britain. Now, we all know that the William Wilberforce got the trade of slavery stopped in Great Britain in 1807. But it wasn't until 1837, thanks to a gentleman named Thomas Buxton, that slavery was totally abolished in Great Britain at that time. And both of these men were known, were famous for their walk of faith with the Lord Jesus Christ. And they had chutzpah, something that many Christians today are lacking, even in their own homes. What say you? Well, I think that when you understand the application of the Bible to every aspect of life, including civics, you understand that once you identify evil, the Bible says, I believe it's in Ephesians 2.10, do not participate in the evil deeds of darkness, but expose them. And the word do not participate, bonhoeffer, interpreted that to mean you don't just watch the tank or the jeep, the vehicle of evil pass by. You put a wedge in the spokes. And he actually did that. I think a lot of our challenges are we don't teach the Bible in a way that gives people the application of the scriptures so they don't know what to do with it. At Liberty Christian Fellowship, our motto is We participate in Christ's great commission by making disciples of Christ who can apply the Bible to every aspect of life, including civics, politics, and the way we are governed. That's what our founding generations did. I like what one of your commercials said, that we're not going to participate in people taking our rights. If I allow people to take my Ten Commandments rights, women are going to be raped. Children are going to be encouraged to carve up their sexual body parts under the delusion that they can actually change their sex. We will be stolen from by a majority vote of both houses of a legislature, whether it's city, county, state, federal, whatever. You know, Jesus said we must be born again. And he tells us to call no man father because we must have a posture that salvation births an awakening, a quickening of the Holy Spirit within us. Being baptized as a baby does nothing for your ability to be born again, which is a decision that adults or people who are of accountable age make to become a disciple of Christ. And we have to see Jesus not only as our Savior, but as our Lord. And I did this a few weeks ago at church. I listed the scriptures where Jesus says, I'm giving you a kingdom. I'm giving you some territory. Take the territory. The night that Jesus was crucified, he asked, do you have any swords? They said, we have two. Well, Peter laughs off the guy's ear. Jesus stops that because we're not supposed to prevent him from dying for our sins, from dying that substitutionary death for our sins. But there's going to come a time when I'm going to give you a territory that and you are going to apply the Bible to every aspect of life, including civics. You're going to organize a society that secures we the people's Ten Commandments rights. And if someone comes to take your rights, if someone tries to pay Goliath, I will anoint you as David to withstand that. And that's how America came into existence against, you know, Britain, the greatest military power on the face of the earth at the time. I think our other challenge, Ron, is if you ask the average pastor why they became a pastor, they'll tell you, I wanted to help people. And I think that our, boy, I'm just going to say it. I think that our seminaries largely are run by mercy-driven people who have the gift of helps, and they don't necessarily have the gifts that would propel one to say, look, I'm going to teach the Bible. This is what it says. I know this sounds kind of offensive, and I really, I can't care. I love you. I cry tears. People don't even believe it. I cry tears over you. But my public persona has to be... that I have to teach God's word. I have to be like Isaiah. Isaiah's book starts out with, I prophesied through the reigns of these three and a half kings. Where do you get separation of church and state from that? God never separates himself from the state. He either blesses or he judges nations. You know, one of the things that also is a blessing when Christian movie makers, for example, and writers bring forth not just wholesome entertainment, but compelling stories to the world. C.S. Lewis was one of the greatest. Now, he wrote the beloved Christian classic, The Chronicles of Narnia. Well, guess what? Netflix is coming out with this and they are butchering the Chronicles of Narnia. And because most people and far too many people don't know the details of the, or have read his, his writings. So they wouldn't know, but it seems that, uh, Netflix is, you know, they're going to come out with it again, I guess, but, uh, they want to butcher it up to take the real meanings and the essence of what, uh, C.S. Lewis put into, uh, that great work. And that is because many of God's people are in ignorance. And at the same time, because of the ignorance for so many decades, the ability to comprehend or to use common sense has been so degraded that they think it's okay to destroy a man's work and present it as if it is what he presented. And to read that and to see What he's doing is very, very telling on today's society, in my humble opinion. What say you? We've got about two minutes. So I want to talk about. Based upon what Ron is saying, everybody, go get the earlier versions that were put out in the Chronicles of Narnia. You'll see all the analogies to Jesus, Aslan. You'll see all the analogies between Aslan and Jesus Christ. I know a lot of people don't like those types of movies and films, and people don't like you know, C.F. Lewis for whatever reason, but I believe he made a very compelling, engaging fairy tale, for lack of a better term. It's like The Wizard of Oz. I'm a former English major, English teacher. We used to say that The Wizard of Oz was a great American fairy tale. Well, the Chronicles of Narnia are a great British fairy tale, but there's a lot of analogies there that my children, and two of whom, one of whom has been a missionary, has a seminary degree, and I have a granddaughter right now who is on the mission field. And we've always enjoyed those films. We don't want to always be against something. We want to understand the application of the Bible of civics. And as Ron has pointed out, these movies don't do well. Like the movie that Russell, whatever his brand, I can't think of the guy's name, but he starred in the Noah movie. They do crap, stuff like that. And nobody, people catch on very quickly, and those movies do not do well in the box office. Yeah. Well, one thing that does well is prayer, and we've got, I think, about a minute. If you're so led, could you lead us in prayer as we close out? Absolutely. Thank you, Brother Ron. Father God, I pray for the listening audience. I pray for Ron's influence in our beloved USA. He would increase his radio audience. And, Father, for those of us who are listening and those who will listen to this show later, I pray that your Holy Spirit would work in us and make us the people that you want us to be. We can't go somewhere, Lord, and lift spiritual weights and make ourselves holy or righteous in your sight. What we can do, however, is by your amazing grace, cast ourselves upon your mercy and say, please, Lord, work in us and make us the people you want us to be. Help us to get connected to real history, to how you worked through your historical body of Christ to do things in the world, like through Thomas Buxton and William Wilberforce, when you were able to inspire them to inspire their nations to overcome slavery, Father, which was a huge economic system.
