[00:00:30] Hallo, Ron Edwards hier. Ich bin nicht in heute. Also, genüge unsere Guest-Höste. Und away we go.
[00:00:58] Z, A, Z, M, Z, E, Z, R, Z, R, Z, I, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z. Ladies and gentlemen, it's the Ron-Edwards-American-Experience-Talk Show
[00:01:25] where our unalienable rights are celebrated. And now, your radio refreshment, Ron Edwards.
[00:02:02] Good afternoon. My name is Mark Brumba. I'm the Assistant Pastor at Liberty Christian Fellowship and we are being joined by our Head Pastor, Earl Wallace. And again, we are from Liberty Christian Fellowship Church in Albany, New York. And our website is LibertyChristianFellowshipChurch.org.
[00:02:29] Liberty Christian Fellowship's mission is to teach that the Bible applies to all aspects of life, including civics. Pastor Earl, can you hear us? Looks like we're having some technical difficulties with Pastor Earl's feed right now. So I'm going to jump in and talk about what we do teach at Liberty Christian Fellowship. That, again, the Bible applies to all aspects of life, including civics.
[00:02:59] Our rights come from the Bible, the Ten Commandments of the Bible, and the Bill of Rights have been put into place to protect we the people's Ten Commandment rights from the government looking to take those rights away from us. Jesus taught in the Great Commission that we are to go out and to make disciples of all nations.
[00:03:25] Nations, that is a gathering of people in one country. And so we need to be really effective in teaching and bringing up people into the understanding of where our rights come from, why they were put into place to protect our rights, and how we go about applying and protecting those rights.
[00:03:49] Are we still having problems with, it looks like we are not having Earl's connection coming through. And it's unfortunate we've done some planning to talk through some different points here. But I'm going to work through with that. As I said, we are looking to make disciples and apply the Bible to every aspect of life, including civics. So how do we go about doing that?
[00:04:19] Well, that we need to understand what the Bible teaches on that. Our rights are protected by the Ten Commandments of the Ten Commandments. Those are inalienable. You're trying on my phone. Can you hear me? Yes. Go ahead, Earl.
[00:04:36] So I've basically started the introduction that we've got the commission and the Bill of Rights and are protecting our Ten Commandments rights, which are the source of our inalienable rights. And I just wanted to let you jump in and pick up where you were looking to lead off with what we teach. Okay. Hi, I'm Pastor Earl Wallace of Liberty Christian Fellowship Church.
[00:05:04] And we teach something called the biblical basis of the Bill of Rights. There are roughly Ten Commandments. Not roughly. There are Ten Commandments and there are Ten Bill of Rights. And each of the Bill of Rights are designed to compel people in government to treat we the people according to the Ten Commandments. The Ten Commandments enumerate what the Declaration of Independence calls our inalienable rights. When God says thou shalt not murder in Ten Commandment number six.
[00:05:30] When he says thou shalt not sexually molest or malign or deceive or confuse in Ten Commandments number seven. When he says thou shalt not steal in Ten Commandments number eight. When he says in Ten Commandment number nine we should not lie to or about others. And in Ten Commandment number ten that we should not use our positions or our power, government power especially, to covet other people's four Ps. Their persons, their peoples, their positions, and their possessions.
[00:05:59] God is saying everyone has a right for those things not to happen to them. When God says in Ten Commandment number five that children should honor their parents, the state should not interfere in the sanctity of that relationship. Those are our Ten Commandment number five parental and family rights.
[00:06:18] The challenge we have in America is that the only people who really can administer our Ten Commandments inalienable natural rights are people who worship God according to the first four commandments. And those commandments are, Commandment number one, I'm the Lord thy God, have no God before me. Commandment two, do not use make any graven images of anything that's in the earth, above the earth, or on the earth in your worship of me.
[00:06:48] That means you don't make man-made statues. And Commandment number three, do not use the Lord's name in vain. Use his name reverently as if he indeed is the creator of the universe and the savior of all mankind, humankind. And number four, we should take one day a week or maybe two days a week to go into church and to honor God by studying his word in Bible studies. Am I still on? I heard a little... Yeah, you're good. Great.
[00:07:15] So what we're trying to do is to get Americans to understand that the Ten Commandments enumerate our inalienable rights, and that the Bill of Rights are designed to compel people in government to treat we the people according to the Ten Commandments, which are the way God wants us to live. For example, in Ten Commandments, the Founding Fathers realized that in Ten Commandments number six, God gives us the right to not be murdered.
[00:07:43] So they gave us the Second Amendment right to defend ourselves both from private citizens that would try to murder us, and that's an aberrant police force or an aberrant government who wants to send soldiers out to violate our Ten Commandments rights. So what we see over in England right now is they're looking to ban... They've already banned all the guns over there.
[00:08:11] They're looking to now ban the use of swords. So they are looking to take the people's abilities to defend themselves there. They would be coming up against a difficult process to take those rights here because we have... It's a God-given... It's a right that we are born with. It's not something that's been granted by the government.
[00:08:35] And if I'm understanding what you're telling us is that the Second Amendment was put into place to protect those rights. Absolutely. The first thing that really was the shot fired around the world during the American Revolutionary War was when... Of course, they had the Boston Massacre. But after that, the British government came to Lexington to take away the weaponry of the Americans.
[00:09:03] And it was a pastor who led his congregation out to the bridge to make sure that the British weren't able to pass and to do that. That was the Reverend Jonas Clark. Yeah, you were a good friend. He was the mentor for John Hancock and John Adams. And Paul Revere, some of the notable founding fathers. Amen.
[00:09:29] The founding fathers said that the American Revolution came out of the sermons they had heard the ten years before.
[00:10:06] So I'm here. The American Revolution was not founded on separation of church and state. It was founded by people applying the founding generations of America, applying the Bible to every aspect of life, including civics, which they began to do in the 1620 Mayflower Compact. They followed through with the 1776 Declaration of Independence, which says we have inalienable rights that come from our creator. And then in 1791 with the Bill of Rights, I believe we're about to take a break.
[00:10:33] The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. The Ron Edwards, American experience. A charter member of the emerging new mainstream media.

[00:12:49] Feel free to join the conversation on the Ron Edwards American Experience hotline at 985-338-2891. That's 985-338-2891. Ron Edwards. The new voice of America. Hello, my name is Pastor Earl. Pastor Earl Wallace of Liberty Christian Fellowship in upstate New York.
[00:13:17] And you're listening to the Ron Edwards American Experience. Ron and I are both patriots who are dedicated to the restoration of our beloved USA. The New Yorker. The New Yorker. The New Yorker.
[00:13:49] The New Yorker. And we're talking about the you know, The New Yorker. And we're talking about reading more than a generation. It's really important for liking, seeing, attending, and all through our hearts. Because we're writing more thinking about how we're hearing, talking about, telling how we're getting barred, watching, and doing things about.
[00:14:17] We're interested in learning about how we're getting barred, but getting barred that off, And we're talking about how we're enjoying the ramelles, rights of basically the Catholic Church, you really end up with the socialist countries that you see down in South America. Earl, is your mic muted right now? It says I'm on hold. You're on. Go ahead. So the Ten Commandments are the way God wants us to live.
[00:14:47] America was not found by religious people. They were found by Bible-believing people whose religion happened to be biblical Christianity. If I apply the values of other religions to civics, such as Islam, if I apply the values of Islam to civics, we end up in a Sharia law country. If I apply the values of Catholicism to civics, we end up with a socialist dictatorship like we see throughout Europe and South America.
[00:15:16] But if I apply God's Ten Commandments rights to our civics, we end up with what I call the biblical basis of the Bill of Rights. So now Mark and I are going to demonstrate how you can, if you understand your Ten Commandments rights, you can analyze every news segment by whether or not the people in those stories are violating our rights or supporting the rights that God gives us. So the first one I'm going to talk about is the abortion industry.
[00:15:47] Planned Parenthood put out its annual report in 2020, and it performed 354,871 abortions in 2019 and 2018, which was an increase of 9,200 from the previous year. And they have reported over 3.3 million abortions over the past 10 years. This is why we do not want our tax dollars, we believe in the Ten Commandments, we believe thou shall not murder.
[00:16:17] We do not want our tax dollars supporting a program, an initiative that is murdering babies. If one has a Ten Commandments value system, one knows that taking the life of a preborn child in the womb is what God calls murder in the Bible. And we don't want to be on the wrong side of God's commands with our value system. What do you say, Mark? Well, that's exactly right, because we do have that right to life.
[00:16:45] That's really, and our founding fathers were so clear in the Declaration of Independence. We have the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. God has given us life. He is the one that determines when we enter the world and when we go out of this world. And he has given us that protection that we should not be murdered, as he says in his word.
[00:17:10] It's not, we've gotten that in the Bible two times, both in Exodus, Exodus 20, as well as in Deuteronomy 5. It seems pretty clear that that was a specific right that God wanted us to value life and that he is our creator. He brings us in at the appropriate time and he determines the number of days that we have in this world. And so we should not be murdering. And we don't want to be murdered ourselves.
[00:17:39] We would not go out and look to murder others. And you know, God also, Jesus Christ himself reinforces 10 Commandment number six, the provision against being murdered in the Sermon on the Mount. Hey, let's talk about activist judges. We've seen recently where judges have tried to negate our voting rights. Basically, in my opinion, that's a way to steal the outcome of my right to vote.
[00:18:09] There's only one person in the entire United States of America that all the citizens vote for. And that's the president of the United States. And overwhelmingly, in this last election, they voted for the policies that Donald Trump campaigned on, which he is acting upon and implementing through his presidency. And we see these activist judges coming along and saying, no, you can't do this and you can't do that.
[00:18:37] Mark, you're very, very good at explaining how this violates our Constitution and the way God wants us to live. What say you? Well, first of all, you're stealing our rights of freedom of speech also because we're being silenced when we're even raising these issues in a number of situations. A number of times people have raised the election integrity issues to the courts and the courts
[00:19:01] have not given the plaintiffs standing to even hear that these rights are being stolen from them. We have the 10 Commandment rights not to be stolen from. Our rights, those are important to us that we have the ability to exercise those. We're going to fight our rights. And knock Umsatzrekorde with the Checkout with the world's best conversion. [00:20:20] We've got a president that is looking to evict people that have come in illegally without rights access to this country. And that's part of the reason that we had an overwhelming mandate from the electorates when President Trump was elected to secure our borders so that these rights are not stolen from us. Yeah.
[00:20:46] When someone climbs over the fence and violates our laws, they actually are stealing the rights of citizenship. And when justices support that, those justices, I challenge people, go look at the faith and the religion of those judges. They are not Bible-believing people. They do not belong to Bible-believing churches. Our founding fathers were Bible-believing people. They were not deists.
[00:21:15] A deist is a person who believes that God is very, very far away, and therefore you need a human mediator to stand between you and God. The Bible says that there's one mediator between God and man. That's the man, Christ Jesus. Bible-believing Christians go directly to the Bible through which Jesus says the Holy Spirit will illuminate us and explain to us everything there is about him. And that's been encapsulated in Scripture.
[00:21:42] Everything that God wants us to know about who he is and what he is about is encapsulated in Scripture. Jesus Christ told us that he would send the Holy Spirit as our counselor. He is our advocate sitting at the right hand, the hand of power of God the Father. And he has direct access to the Father.
[00:22:03] The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, they are one in thought and really are looking for us to honor them, give them the respect, and that they're looking to protect us and those rights that they've given to us. Amen. God gave us in the Bible, Jesus said we are to pray the Our Father. We're not supposed to pray any other prayer. And Our Father is not a repetitive prayer that we need to pray, but it's a pattern of how we pray.
[00:22:33] We talk to God, Our Father, directly. We talk to him about our daily needs. Our challenge in America is that we have gotten—the deep state is really the infiltration of our government by people who don't have a biblical Ten Commandments value system. I like to say it this way. America's struggle, the world's struggle, is between people who have a Ten Commandments value system and those who don't.
[00:23:01] Our struggle is between people that believe it is okay to violate the Ten Commandments against you, like the man we saw ramming his ATV against a Tesla car the other day or yesterday. And there are other people that would believe that's wrong because that's an act of vandalism. It's injuring someone else's property. It's a form of stealing.
[00:23:20] It's a form of actually—if somebody was in that car and you slam into it, you're attempting to injure that person, which is a form of trying to perpetrate the violation of Ten Commandments number six against people. We're going to—after this segment, I believe we're going to do a few more of these headlines, and then we're going to have Pastor Mark do a 10 or 15-minute Bible study at the end.
[00:23:46] And what I'm looking at is a headline that shows that the GPS—Elon must put this out on X—that the people that are going to these pro-Hamas protests and these BLM protests, you can't tell on the radio, but I'm a black person. I'm married to a white person. Pastor Mark is a white person. And we believe that God loves all people and that he doesn't give people special favors because of their race.
[00:24:11] He expects all people to come to Christ with the acknowledgement that we are sinners who need to be saved by the grace through the work that Jesus Christ did on the cross. God didn't hoodwink at sin. Here's how Jesus Christ, the best man who ever lived, could die for all the sins of the world at one point in time in history. God is everywhere, always present. Right now, God pre-exists the book of Genesis, and he post-exists the book of Revelation.
[00:24:39] And when Christ was hanging on the cross at some point in time in history past, God reached into the book of Genesis and swept all those sins on top of Christ. And then he reached into the time frame of the book of Revelation, and he swept all those sins back upon Christ. That's how one man at one point in time could die for all the sins of the world. I believe we're getting ready to take a break.
[00:25:06] Hello, this is Mark Brumbaugh with Liberty Christian Fellowship Church. I'm the assistant pastor, and you are listening to the Ron Edwards American Experience. My heart goes boom, boom, boom. Son, you said grab your things. I've come to take you home.
[00:25:24] Is the salutary influence of the Bible a good thing or not? Hello, I'm Ron Edwards on today's page from the Edwards Notebook. What would the world be without it?
[00:25:49] Compare the dark places of the earth where the light of the gospel has not yet penetrated or being rejected today with the places where, at the very least, the life-affirming principles of seeking a righteous standard of living, liberty, including liberty in Christ, along with the recognition of our unalienable rights, including the right and duty to train up a child in the way that they should go, which, by the way, dictates the direction a nation takes during the following generation.
[00:26:19] We, the people of the United States of America, can no longer afford to reject the God who shed his grace upon our great republic, nor should we continue to reject and allow leftists to cast concrete moral principles out of society. The Founding Fathers warned that if we are not a nation of high moral standards, our republic will not be great. Choose wisely, my fellow Americans, and do check out the Ron Edwards American Experience, 3 p.m. Eastern Time via theronedwards.com.

[00:28:21] Where there is no vision from God, the people run wild. But those who adhere to God's instruction know genuine happiness. Ron Edwards, the new voice of America.
[00:28:39] How Jesus Christ died for all the sins of all time at one point of time in history.
[00:29:31] And, you know, when God reached into the time period of the book of Revelation, when God reached into the time period of the book of Revelation and swept those sins at the end of time all the way back through Christ, my sins were included in that in sore years. So if you're a person who hasn't received Jesus Christ, if you want your sins forgiven by God, I would encourage you to take Jesus' words to heart. John 14, 6.
[00:30:01] Jesus says, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me.
[00:30:09] Now, we also were talking about how Elon Musk on X was explaining that if you ping the phones of the people that are participating in these pro-Hamas, anti-American, anti-MAGA, make America great events, you will see that it's the same people, many of the same people going from demonstration to demonstration.
[00:30:35] And when the media tries to portray that these anti-American, anti-MAGA, pro-Hamas protesters are more popular than they are, that's a form of lying to us. The mainstream media is lying to us. If the media leaves out certain essential information from a report, that also is a form of lying. And lying violates the way God wants us to live.
[00:31:04] I noticed another headline here. North Carolina school officials who forcibly jabbed a, I don't know if the student is 14 now or was 14 at the time, has, and the family has brought a court case. The North Carolina Supreme Court ruled that a mother and her 14-year-old son can sue a public school and doctors, and a doctor's group for giving him the jab without consent.
[00:31:33] He protested and said, I don't want this, and they wouldn't let him call his mother. Now a lawsuit is going to go forward. This is a good thing for us here in America because it supports our Ten Commandments, Five Rights, that there should be honor. The government should honor the rights, the parental rights within a family.
[00:31:55] Our laws were so based upon those rights that when Bonnie and Clyde, when Clyde's brother, Darrell, was shot in the head in a car with them, they had to put him out of the car to get medical care. His wife, Blanche, followed him. They never had Blanche take the stand against her husband. There are other ways that we can prosecute crime without violating God's Ten Commandments, rights, and laws against we the people.
[00:32:25] Amendment 9 of the Bill of Rights actually, again, gives us that right. But ultimately what's been violated is that God has stewarded those parents to watch over that child, and the school is looking to usurp that right from the parents. So they're taking away what God had given to them, and it's really the sanctity of that family unit that's being violated. The Ninth Amendment basically protects our rights.
[00:32:53] We have not given the rights to the government to determine what goes into the bodies of our children, and they can't determine what they eat, what they have put into their body when they go to bed. They're not paying for the kids' meals at home.
[00:33:16] Some kids may qualify for federally funded meals at the school, but that's not part of what our rights are. So again, we see the government taking rights away from somebody that has no authority to give or take. You're correct about that, Pastor Mark. The Ten Commandment number nine, ten rather, gives us the right to not have people in government covet our four Ps.
[00:33:46] And that means our persons, our people, our positions, and our possessions. We have autonomous use and right to all those things. You know, the EPA, I've been saying this for about 20 years, the EPA was designed to violate we the people's rights over our positions, over our jobs.
[00:34:04] Thank God, President Trump is bringing these tariffs into play, which is compelling American industry to come back home, as well as foreign industries like the Rolls-Royce Company is going to be building a factory plant here in America, which is really good for our families. Because there are a lot of people who don't need to go to college. God has not wired them that way, but they're very good doing other things.
[00:34:32] And those people should be able to have good factory jobs and also construction jobs, building these plants. Whether it's you're a tradesman doing an electrical service, or whether you're a plumber, a carpenter, or a mason. Go ahead. What's interesting is that ties into also taking out the government from the education department.
[00:34:57] Because, as you said, certain people are not wired to go to colleges to get degrees and to work in offices. And, you know, you think about it, boys growing up have a ton of energy and being forced to sit in a classroom for six hours a day. That's not how they're wired to learn.
[00:35:18] A lot of boys need to have hands on being outside, running around, burning off energy, but also getting their hands on to things and figuring out how things are put together, how they come apart, and utilizing that creative skill set. And being forced to sit there, listening to a lecture, and getting information out of a book. That is not how that person has been wired.
[00:35:44] So, returning the education to the states and ultimately into each of the communities is the right way to go about how we run our education department. Absolutely. Now, our challenge in New York on top of that is that we have some probably our State Department of Education and our governor are going to probably double down to continue to mentally and castrate our boys by making sure that they take Ritalin to do what you said,
[00:36:13] and try to be able to be able to do what you said, and try to be able to do what you said, and try to be able to learn. So we have a lot of work to do here in New York State. We believe that President Trump is trying to give us a level playing field, but it is up to us, we the people, to understand the way God wants us to live, which is by exercising our Ten Commandments rights.
[00:36:38] And if government violates those rights, then we the people have to mass ourselves together to confront that. We're going to take a break, and when we come back, Pastor Mark is going to give us the Bible. You have a call from 518 Area Code. Let's hear from our caller. Hello? Hello, caller, you're on the air. Hello?
[00:37:08] Go ahead. Hello? Hello? We can hear you. Go ahead. Can you make a comment or ask a question? Identify yourself, if you'd like. What's your first name? Pastor Mark? Pastor Earl? Pastor Mark? Yes. Pastor Earl? Go ahead. Yes. Oh, Melvin, how are you? You're very slight. You know, very low. I could barely hear you. I hope you didn't hear me.
[00:37:37] But anyway, Pastor Mark? Pastor Earl? But Pastor Earl is a lifelong friend of mine, and we both grew up here in Saratoga Springs, and I know Pastor Earl as Bud. But he's still my brother, and he'll always be that.
[00:37:54] You know, I was just, before President Trump's cabinet was formed, I had called Ron, and I had mentioned to him because I think it would be very, very fitting for Ron to become President Trump's press secretary if Caroline Leavitt ever decides he's had enough to show America.
[00:38:17] And then he's also being part of the other side of black America, the intelligent and the patriot side of black America, a verse that Jean, what was it, Jean Pierre? Kareem Jean-Pierre, who was very uninformed. Well, either she was plain uninformed, which I believe that could have been the case, or she's just wholly uninformed and unintelligent.
[00:38:46] Where Ron would definitely show America that there's another side to those criminals, especially in black America. I mean, it would be very fitting for him to take that position if Caroline Leavitt ever decides that it was time for her to go, for her to go on to something else. But, yes, that's what I wanted to express today. But I appreciate you taking my call.
[00:39:14] And, Bud, hopefully we'll see you and Pastor Mark sometime in the very near future. We're up in Saratoga on a regular basis. You've got to catch up with us. There's no holiday. There's no Christmas Eve. There's no New Year Eve. There's no Thanksgiving Day. You've got to get up and do what you've got to do 24, not 24-7, but eight days a week, we should say. But, anyway, I appreciate you for taking my call. And God bless both of you, and God bless America.
[00:39:44] Thank you. God bless you. Thank you for calling. I believe we're going to be approaching a break soon. When we come back, Pastor Mark is going to lead us in a Bible study that will show how the Bible applies to every aspect of life, including civics. We are Bible teachers. He's actually going to teach the Bible, but we do not ignore its application to every aspect of life, including civics. Is that correct, Pastor Mark?
[00:40:13] That is correct. We are going to be taking a quick look at walking through John 21, which Jesus really demonstrates what he's given to us in the Great Commission of Matthew 28.
[00:40:27] And so we're just going to be looking at how Jesus, utilizing common elements of fishing and feeding of sheep, that really points to what the mission of the church is, of going out and making disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. [00:43:50] So we're going to look at John 21 in a study. It's titled Christ's Commission. Gather fish and tend sheep. Really the responsibility of the body of Christ, the Ecclesia, the church is portrayed in this chapter. And there's two occupations, things that are going on that Jesus really uses to demonstrate what the mission of the church is in the Great Commission.
[00:44:17] We are to gather souls, gather fish. We see the Peter and six of his friends going out on the Lake of Galilee fishing. And really fishing is gathering of souls. Fishing requires skill, patience and perseverance. The term serves as a metaphor in the Bible for evangelism. It's the spreading of the gospel and bringing people into the kingdom of God.
[00:44:45] Skill is developed by consistently practicing an activity. We may not be good the first two times, five times, ten times that we look to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with other people. But when we do something on a regular basis, when we make that part of our habit and speaking with people and just sharing that we have Jesus in our lives and letting that light of Christ shine through us,
[00:45:11] people see that we are different and that we have something going on there and they're interested in that. But we also, when something is not going appropriately in somebody's life, we can point things out utilizing Scripture or even just in conversations like Pastor Earl and I had going through the news headlines.
[00:45:35] When somebody approaches you and says comments about that, we can bring in the Bible and how that applies in all aspects of life, including civics. So the apostles are out fishing all night and they don't find anything. Jesus has shown himself to the disciples on the shore and he tells them to cast the net on the right hand side of the boat. So evangelism, that's again, as I'm saying, casting out the word of God on a regular basis.
[00:46:05] The right hand, that is the seat of power. That's where Jesus Christ sits. And that's really where he's giving us the power and the deliverance from our sins. Basically, what the New Testament tells us is when we find something, it's been lost. What are we doing? We are going out there and we're finding the fish.
[00:46:29] And that's where Jesus has said, cast on the right side, cast on what God's teaching, and share what God and the power that we have through the forgiveness of our sins in Jesus Christ. The center discovers they are lost when the truth of God's word that's been cast to them takes authority.
[00:46:49] When that Holy Spirit comes upon them, they realize their need for the Savior and know that Jesus, as Pastor Earl had said, took on those sins on that cross where he took the sins from all time, from Genesis, swept on to him from that time to the end of time of revelations, that they are forgiven.
[00:47:12] Now, what's the next step once you find somebody and that they've received the good news of Jesus Christ, the forgiveness of sins? That's now when the work starts. We need to train to teach those disciples. And what's Jesus doing on the shore? Well, he's got fish and bread cooking on a stove on a coal fire.
[00:47:38] So Jesus has instructed the disciples to bring some of those that have been caught so that they can be served, served with the word of God. The action of Jesus serves as a reminder of what he taught during his three-year ministry, that he came not to be served but to serve. And so we're supposed to be serving the needs of these new disciples.
[00:48:03] A new believer needs to be taught how to be a disciple of Christ, how to truly follow him. They need to learn the word of God. They need to be in the word. They need to learn how to obey those precepts, the Ten Commandments, what our rights are and what the Bible tells us in all situations for life. So Jesus invites these people to come and have breakfast. When we sit together at a meal, that's fellowship, that's community, that's building one another up.
[00:48:34] The seven apostles that are on the boat, they see the charcoal fire with the fish and the bread laid out. Again, the fellowship of believers. We gather together to remember that we are purified or sanctified by the blood of Jesus. It's laying on the coal. Let's recall what the Bible tells us. What is the fire? It's a purification ritual.
[00:49:02] The prophet Isaiah, actually, when he was coming under commission by God, he said, I'm a man of unclean lips. And what does God do? He takes a coal of fire to purify those lips. So the coal fire, again, it symbolizes that we have been purified. We have been sanctified.
[00:49:25] We've been made holy by coming into receipt of Jesus as the atonement, the forgiveness of our sins. Jesus also tells us that we now, followers, that we go about, we baptize, we take communion together. That through the sacrament of communion, we remember and declare the death of Jesus Christ, the one that died because he loved us.
[00:49:52] And that we have a special relationship with him. And through partaking that, that we are faithful to him, that he did it all for us. The bread and the fish. What does bread symbolize? Bread, it tells us that it's nourishment. It feeds us, our souls. Bread, it's sustenance, provision. God provides all our needs, as Philippians 4.19 tells us.
[00:50:22] But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches and glory by Christ Jesus. Again, he's the bread of life. He provides our needs. We can also, we get the symbolism of bread. That's the Passover sacrifice that the Jewish people celebrated. That's the great Passover when Jesus passed over so that the death angel did not take their lives. And that was the mode to get them out of their slavery.
[00:50:51] The slavery of sin that demonstrates and the free life in belief and following the one true God. Fish. They were a common part of the diet in that region. And again, part of it highlights that the ministry of Jesus Christ was humble, was simple. And also, it helps us to recall bread and fish. It's doctrine.
[00:51:21] The feeding of the 5,000 and the 4,000. And Jesus tells us that we have to beware of the doctrine of the Pharisees and the Herodians, that they're looking to keep us from honoring God. He is the bread of life. We are fed by the word of God. And then we've got the next step. It's the tending of sheep. When Jesus has finally restored the apostle Peter, what does he tell him to do?
[00:51:49] To go, feed my lambs. That's teach the young children. It's the rules, then shepherd my sheep. It's discipline for the mature. And then it's feed my little lambs. The special care of those that are young in heart and old men that are childlike in spirit. We need to have special care for these young children. We are coming up on the end.
[00:52:19] But again, these two examples of feeding, of fishing and of feeding the sheep just show us that that is the mission of the church and how we apply the Bible to every aspect of life, including civics. God bless. And just have a great week. And Ron will be back with you on Monday.
[00:52:38] And it's interesting, Pastor Mark, that in the Great Commission in Matthew 28, 19 through 20, the Bible says, Jesus says, go and make disciples of all the nations. And if we look at the book of Isaiah, which was mentioned in the beginning, Isaiah 1, 1, this is the vision of Isaiah, the son of Amaz, which he saw concerning Judah, the state, and Jerusalem in the days of three kings.
[00:53:07] Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah. Actually, he prophesied through the reigns of four kings. God so wants the state to obey him that he sent his prophet to the kings. We as Christians need to do likewise. And we're looking forward to meeting with you again soon and the next time that Ron has us host his show. Thank you for tuning in. God bless. I'm Pastor Earl Wallace. I'm Pastor Earl Wallace. That's all, folks. To exit stage right.
