Taylor Young from Antelope Hill Publishing is back, but in a slightly different way. Don’t miss his thoughtful opinions on coalition building and the overall state of our cause, as well as the latest AHP title!
[00:00:01] You're listening to the Liberty News Radio Network, and this is The Political Cesspool. The Political Cesspool, known across the South and worldwide as the South's foremost populist conservative radio program. And here to guide you through the murky waters of The Political Cesspool is your host, James Edwards.
[00:00:31] Welcome back, everybody. It has been, in some ways, a difficult night for your humble servant, and especially that first hour as we mourn losses of the men who made us. And getting back to business as usual with a very nice segue and tie-in with Warren Bailog in the last hour, saw Warren and his father a week ago. Matter of fact, a week ago tonight, I was with them.
[00:00:59] So I'll give you a little peek behind the scenes on how last week's show went. We actually, 90, I can't say 99%, how many shows we do a year? 52, 50 out of the 52 shows we do a year are live, unrehearsed and uncensored. Once in a blue moon, circumstances arise that we have to pre-record something and then present it as live. Because we always want to be live, Saturday Night Live. It's TPC.
[00:01:28] Well, last week's show was live, the second and the third hours. I did pre-record the first hour segment with Roger Devlin. And by the way, as a result of being in eight cities in the last 14 days, I had inadvertently posted the program from the week before last for the first hour of last week's show. And that caused some confusion.
[00:01:55] So, so many of you listened to the archive in the first couple of days after a live broadcast. If you missed last week's first hour with Roger, it did get reposted, I think, on Tuesday. If you happened to miss it and thought we played an old tape in the first hour, it's all there now. But anyway, I saw Roger last week, too. And nevertheless, we were there. I was there in D.C. last week. Winston took hours two and three live. We had pre-recorded with Roger.
[00:02:25] You just heard from Warren Bailog. He and his father were there. It was a meeting of some of the brightest minds and some of the people who were producing the greatest fruit right now for our cause. And not everybody who's producing that great fruit was there. There were some great leaders and thought leaders and activists who were not there, but a good deal of them were. And another one of them was Taylor Young of Antelope Hill Publishing. So Taylor is back with us right now.
[00:02:50] Of course, you know Taylor is a very regular guest and partner here on TPC with Antelope Hill Publishing. He's back tonight, but in a slightly different way. We're going to continue the conversation with Warren from the last hour with Taylor now and seek his thoughtful opinions on coalition building and the overall state of our cause. Antelope Hill Publishing has played a very big role in it now for a few years. And you have this cross-section of folks that were there last week.
[00:03:19] I'm in my mid-40s now. You had people decades older than me and decades younger than me. It's a continuum that I'd like to talk to Taylor about. Taylor, welcome back to the program tonight. How are you, my friend? It's been so great to see you last weekend in the heart of the empire. Yes, it was wonderful to see you as well and everybody else. And it's wonderful to be back on here. It's always a great pleasure to be talking with you. It is indeed.
[00:03:44] And the last time you were on, we were talking about Kerry Bolton's latest book, which is the most recent title available for your purchase tonight at antelopehillpublishing.com. We are going to actually revisit. That was one of the books that we had profiled with Taylor that I just didn't feel like we talked about it enough. And so we are going to revisit it a little bit later this hour as we come to a conclusion.
[00:04:08] But on the heels of that collection of talent in D.C. last week and not just on the outskirts of D.C. or even in northern Virginia, but I mean right there near the White House and the Capitol within walking distance of all of these things. There we were, and we were making plans.
[00:04:28] Taylor, again, Antelope Hill Publishing bursts onto the publishing scene specifically, but as part of the greater coalition generally, just a few short years ago, you've seen a lot of change even in that amount of time. How would you assess the overall state, as I mentioned, of this cause and our collective as it sits here tonight, this first weekend of September? Sure. Yeah.
[00:04:57] So I think it's a very interesting question because you're going to have at least one opinion per person that you ask.
[00:05:09] I think that in very broad strokes, I would definitely say that there has been a significant improvement in terms of kind of popular political consciousness and the permeation of our ideas and topics and questions that people like us would bring up.
[00:05:34] And that used to be, you know, considered fringe or conspiratorial now might have a much wider reach and a much wider acceptance, which is a good thing. And it's not necessarily even tied to, you know, like there's not necessarily like a specific person or current that predominates it, which I think is a good sign that, you know, this is a something that is taking a more general route among ordinary people, which again is good.
[00:06:02] I think if you were to focus in on, you know, looking more concretely at our movement, which in itself, you know, can be a very controversial terminology and trying to define who that includes and doesn't include. You know, I think there's definitely, again, there's progress.
[00:06:29] I think there's some areas in which there's a lot more unity. People have worked out their differences with each other.
[00:06:39] And, you know, there's, I guess, there's, you can, you know, if there's any criticism to be made, it's that sometimes you have people who, or, you know, you have, you have tendencies that maybe don't appreciate the, the, the value of the popular spread of our ideas.
[00:07:00] And are more focused on just, you know, trying to like manufacture support for the Republican Party or, you know, kind of like outdated political modes. But, you know, I don't want to come on here to be, to be too critical.
[00:07:23] I think that overall in, in big picture, I think it's, no one can really deny that we've seen a lot of good things happen. Well, no, exactly. I mean, if you came on here and said, everything is great, obviously we're winning. Obviously we've turned the corner. Everything is going to be okay. Who would believe it? I mean, that is not the truth, but the truth is, and I see it. And again, it's a matter of perspective because you did have the lions and winner.
[00:07:49] You had people like Alan Balog who had been fighting these fights since before the time that you and I were born, Taylor. You have people like me who've been around for 20 years, not nearly as long as some, but a lot longer than others. And then you have some relative newcomers, but all sort of synthesizing together.
[00:08:07] And you did have at this, again, off the record, private confidential meeting, wasn't open to the public, but you did have a lot of different people doing very different things, whether it be building media, whether it be building issue advocacy organizations or policy institutes, engaging in politics, running, and in fact, even winning elected office. You had a little bit of everything in the room that it takes to make a movement successful.
[00:08:35] So I guess the question is, how can that coalesce? And do you believe that, and if we don't believe it, then why are we even here? Do you believe that there is a path for all of the different elements of our cause to come together and find a path forward that will improve not just the lives of our people, but a true path to victory?
[00:09:04] Can that happen with all people pulling in the same direction? Yeah, I absolutely think so. And I think that stuff like what we were doing in person last weekend is pretty much the way forward where, again, you get different people and different kinds of people who are doing different kinds of things, and you get them working with each other.
[00:09:28] And I think that that is another area in which there has been definitely improvement in terms of people being able to find common cause and finding points of overlap and collaboration.
[00:09:41] And I think that is very much my personal opinion that that is the way forward is through this kind of behind-the-scenes networking where you get people to work together and pool their efforts and their resources. But in the long term, we want our victories to be public as well.
[00:10:08] We want people to know that they are being represented and that they are being represented for who they are and for who we are. And that, you know, we're not trying to just, like, breathe new life into a dying system, but we are, in fact, trying to replace it with something new and better. And I think that there's a lot of promise in the current trajectory.
[00:10:34] And certainly in a lot of things that, hopefully in a lot of things that Antelope Hill does, certainly in a lot of things that you do and that we're very appreciative of. Well, as I said, Taylor, I could not be more appreciative of you and the other principals there at Antelope Hill Publishing and the partnership that we've forged over these last few years and where it may go from here through collaborative efforts. We're going to do one more segment on this, and then we're going to talk about the rise of the dollar empire one more time.

[00:12:53] We're back in the third hour now with my friend Taylor Young of AntelopeHillPublishing.com. You've heard him so many times over the last several years.
[00:13:18] Tonight in a slightly different capacity, although we are going to reverse pivot and continue a conversation that we had a few weeks ago about Kerry Bolton's new book, Rise of the Dollar Empire, How America Dethroned Europe. This is a fascinating discussion. It was, I mean, every book that they released there is a must-read title, but it was this one that I told Taylor.
[00:13:42] I said, I just don't think I got through everything I wanted to talk to you about with regards to the contents of this book. And so we're going to continue that on in the latter half of this hour. You were from Warren Bailog earlier in the program and then the first hour, very special for personal reasons to yours truly. But, Taylor, continuing on, and I'm not trying to be vague or evasive with the audience here. Of course, our audience is our family.
[00:14:11] If it's something that's public, you'll know about it. This was just basically, I mean, I think I can say a gathering of people who are very well-known to you as listeners. Most of the people there were regulars on this program, and we were just coming together in the capital of the United States to talk about ways we can move our collective forward.
[00:14:38] And I think, again, Taylor, when you get that amount of talent, and there were other great people who were not there. Not everybody who was somebody was there. A lot of people couldn't be there. But those who were there were very valuable. And I think when you get that group of people together, as I said to you in an email earlier today, you just simply can't replicate that kind of energy and brainstorming, the kind that occurs in person via telephone, email, or even in video conferencing.
[00:15:08] So 20 years ago, everybody knew everybody. Everybody knew everybody who was doing something. Now there's so much going on, you can't quite keep up with it. This is a new development, at least as far as I'm concerned. But you may have a slightly different perspective from that because you are one of these up-and-coming insurgents. And what you're doing with antelope pill is so fresh and new. And you're looking at this through a different set of eyes.
[00:15:35] Again, continue on, Taylor, with your assessment of where we are and where we may be going. Yeah, I think that, again, we are in a good place. I think definitely I've been doing this for some good portion of my life at this point. And I think that there's definitely a clear positive trend line.
[00:16:00] And I think that one of the areas in which we can kind of look to as signaling positive development is proximity to political power.
[00:16:23] And that we are now building not just cultural institutions, but also political institutions. We have people who are political candidates. Some of them win races. And that's very good. I think the level of collaboration, again, is very good. I think that's been a positive development. And that's necessary to provide us with resilience.
[00:16:52] And basically, you know, just it makes everybody safer in like a political sense, you know, from being labeled as fringe. You know, from it multiplies everybody's, you know, political influence and cultural influence. And obviously that's very good.
[00:17:14] I think that one of the areas in which we where there's the most opportunity is, again, to really differentiate ourselves from the current regime. And, you know, kind of maybe hinting at some of the relevance of the book as we'll discuss it.
[00:17:36] But to differentiate ourselves and our political project from the current regime in America, which has been historically anti-white and continues to be anti-white. And we're really going to have the most impact with all of our projects and all of our energies and all of our ideas when we accept that confrontation as the one before us.
[00:18:01] And we're willing to put ourselves forward as truly differentiated from it, if that makes sense. It does make sense. And, again, we are going to transition in the last half of this hour back to the continued or conclusive conclusion of the conversation about rise of the dollar empire. But I'm just thinking as you're talking, Taylor, and I'm here at the website right now at antelopeelpublishing.com.
[00:18:31] But I'm looking at these titles, and I'm looking at the beautiful graphic design. I'm looking at the packaging. I'm looking at how these books appear. And I'm thinking back to, you know, my nascent becoming in this cause more than a quarter century ago.
[00:18:54] I can remember getting stuff from here in Tennessee from the official Buchanan for President campaign. It was these pixelated, you know, flyers with a pixelated image of George Washington. And this was, you know, the stuff that the official campaign, you know, and it was fine. I mean, I didn't know any better. I mean, it was 26 years ago. But we have really, really advanced in terms of our professionalism.
[00:19:22] I think Antelope Hill Publishing is really at the tip of the spear on this aspect of it all. But, again, you're talking about there are so many people doing so many different things. You can't work it all into even a weekend gathering, even a 48 to 72-hour gathering now. You know, we were talking about the need to have breakout sessions now for the different people that are focusing on different aspects of activism, whether it be running for office or whether it be building media or publishing or whatever.
[00:19:50] However, it is really not in a day, in my perspective, how far our explicit cause has advanced and professionalized in the last quarter of a century. And that is with every obstacle in our way, with the platforming, with every disadvantage thrust upon us. Yet still, I'm looking at your website right now at Antelope Hill, and I'm comparing that to what I had to work with 26 years ago.
[00:20:18] And, you know, that bodes well, I think, for future success. Yeah, well, first of all, thank you very much. And it is definitely, it has been a conscious intention of ours to, just like you said, put ourselves at the tip of the spear in terms of professionalism for, you know, how we look, how we conduct ourselves, you know.
[00:20:45] Even just, you know, embracing that we are, in fact, a business. You know, we don't exist solely to do propaganda. We exist to print high-quality products that, you know, are comparable to what you pick up from Barnes & Noble or, you know, any other bookstore or any other publisher. And in some cases, maybe they're even better than some of the stuff you get from some of the major publishers now. I can guarantee it.
[00:21:15] Yeah, but yeah. And I think, you know, it's valuable for a lot of reasons. One, it's valuable, like you're saying, because it just, it actually is better propaganda. You know, people will take the ideas more, outsiders will take the ideas more seriously. It also, I think, is kind of an internal service as well. Like, you moralize people. You elevate what we are doing to, you know, to the people who buy the books, to the people who hold the ideas. They're like, oh, okay, you know. I'm not like a kook.
[00:21:43] I'm not like someone, I'm not like a, you know, perpetual someone on the fringes. Like, you know, this is serious. What I believe is serious, you know. I'm part of a serious movement of other people who take things seriously besides just, you know, trying to say the right thing, which is obviously important. But, you know, you have to elevate it through your presentation as well.
[00:22:14] Well, it is the age-old question of substance versus sizzle and how they intersect. And, I mean, you really do need, our ideas deserve good packaging. The ideas stand by themselves, yes. They do stand alone, but they deserve, because they are so true and are so right, they deserve to be presented in a manner that is fitting of them.
[00:22:44] Correct? Yeah. No, absolutely. That's a perfect way of putting it. So, again, we are going to come back after this next break, and we're going to continue our talk with Taylor Young tonight about Kerry Bolton's new book, The Dollar Empire, How America Dethroned Europe.
[00:23:02] We had Taylor on the August 8th broadcast of this program, August 8th of, well, last month, so not quite yet a month ago. At that time, we were teasing that this book would soon be available, and we were breaking it down in advance of the official release.
[00:23:25] We talked an entire hour about the book in advance of its release nearly a month ago, if you're listening live, and we left some stuff on the table. Now, since Taylor's last appearance on the program, this book has been released.
[00:23:41] So, since the 8th of August through now September the 5th, the book has come out, so we're going to continue that conversation now about the dollar empire, the rise of the dollar empire, and what was going on there with regards to the decolonization that took place after World War II. It was a fascinating discussion for the full hour last month. We're going to continue it for the next 30 minutes. But, Taylor, a final word as the music begins to play about our prospects.
[00:24:08] Are you hopeful that this collective, the people that folks here, if they tune into this program every week on this show, this collective of ours, of mine and yours, can make a difference? You've got 30 seconds on that. Absolutely. I'm very hopeful. I know we can make a difference, and we have, and we will. And everyone who listens in and supports in any way, you're doing a huge, huge thing to contribute to the effort. Hey, there you go.
[00:24:38] Everybody's a stakeholder in this. You support this program. You support Antelope Hill. You support any of the people we feature, Warren Bailog, earlier tonight, any of them. You're in it. You're on the team. We'll be right back. We're going to talk about this book. It is a fascinating one. Stay tuned. Pursuing Liberty. Using the Constitution as our guide. [00:29:56] Well, we're back now, and as we pivot, really, really, really important show tonight, I think. And heartfelt, certainly.
[00:30:17] And we are going to now pivot back to a title that we profiled for the first time just in advance of its release back on August the 8th. If you missed that show, it is, of course, available to you on demand in our broadcast archives at ThePoliticalCesspool.org. Just go back to the program dated August the 8th, the 3rd hour.
[00:30:41] Taylor was with us for a full-hour discussion about Kerry Bolton's new book, Rise of the Dollar Empire, How America Dethroned Europe. And I told Taylor afterwards, I don't think we covered it at all. And so we're going to cover it a little bit more now as it has then since been released in the last couple of weeks at AntelopeHillPublishing.com. It's in the top left corner if you go there now with me. And let's talk a little bit more about it, Taylor, won't you?
[00:31:09] So this book argues that decolonization wasn't some noble uprising of the oppressed. It was Washington where we were last week. It was Washington and Wall Street dismantling the European empires on purpose. So why did you think, why did Antelope Hill think that the public needed to hear that it was not just the communists, not just the usual suspects per se, driving that project? Yeah, no, it's a good question.
[00:31:38] And it really gets to the value of the book. I mean, first of all, you know, I think and we think that the book is saying something true about history. And the truth is obviously worth it. But it helps clarify the nature of the conflict that we're in.
[00:31:59] And it also, I think there's a political value to it because it traces historically how a lot of American history, a lot of the policies of the American government have been anti-white and anti-European, but also domestically anti-white as well.
[00:32:27] And the book makes these connections and it makes these points. One example is that, you know, as kind of a precursor to the real takeoff of civil rights during the Cold War era, you already had outreach done by the government and by organizations like the Council on Foreign Relations
[00:32:51] and kind of its subgroups in the U.S., you know, in many cases funded by Wall Street financiers that were doing propaganda to blacks in the U.S. to get them involved in the war effort and basically promising them greater integration in American society and delivering on that in order to, again, to win their support.
[00:33:18] And so they were doing this at home in the United States and then pursuing the same kind of policy abroad in terms of the, you know, like the Wilsonian idea of self-determination, which was really used as kind of like a wrench to pry apart the British Empire during World War II and afterwards and all the European empires
[00:33:41] and which were really viewed as problems from the perspective of this pursuit of global free trade and just unencumbered movement for financial capitalism and Wall Street. And so it really clarifies that, you know, when we talk today about globalism
[00:34:07] being something that is oppressive to us and doesn't represent us as white patriotic Americans and, you know, something that we oppose, that this, you know, this is a consistent feature in a lot of American foreign policy going back for a long period of time and also in domestic policy as well. You have the same kind of global and domestic cultural revolution.
[00:34:34] And, yeah, so I think it's very valuable for us to know that and to help us understand, you know, how we got here and the nature of the system. Taylor, since we last talked almost a month ago about this book, since then there has been a very interesting review of the book published by Countercurrents.
[00:34:59] Morris Vandekamp is the reviewer and they published it. And he says that Lind Lease didn't just help Britain survive. It put a bankrupt Europe under American financial hegemony. Now, so for those of us who were taught that we, quote, saved the world in World War II, what's the part of the story that Kerry Bolton thinks got left out?
[00:35:31] Yeah. So, I mean, I think if I was trying to boil it down to one thing is that it was, again, a continuation of an assault on a politically and economically independent Europe. And you can, you know, you can think of this in terms of the Axis powers as more kind of philosophically
[00:35:56] representing the idea of an independent Europe, but also in much more practical and material terms that, again, when you look at things like Lind Lease specifically, just one of his major examples in the book, that this was a intentional, this was intentionally crafted by the United States in order to essentially subjugate Great Britain
[00:36:23] to, you know, our or America's foreign policy prerogatives, which were, again, the opening up of markets for free trade and for financial globalization. And the British Empire, which was essentially, you know, in material terms, a series of, like, preferential trading. It was like a trading bloc.
[00:36:52] You know, they had the British, Britain had the preferential trading agreements with its colonies, and so this naturally impeded, you know, the free flow of American goods and Wall Street finances. And, yeah, so the Lend-Lease was specifically structured such that it was not necessary that Britain
[00:37:19] pay back everything as such. It was written in such a way that what it really was trying to get at and achieve was leverage over British policy. And then, you know, as the war continued and after the war, where Britain and much of Europe was so devastated and bankrupt and had to rely on the U.S. for rebuilding, then, you know, pretty much, like, we had them right where we wanted them.
[00:37:48] I mean, not, I don't, you know, we, I don't identify with this being a good idea, but if we're talking about the United States, you know, it achieved economically subjugating Europe in this way by making it dependent on itself. And, you know, you, one of the, this is a very good book to just let you know how,
[00:38:13] how short-sighted and frankly scummy Churchill was and how he really, he really doomed the British Empire. And he did know better. He knew what was going on, at least to, to enough of an extent that, that he should have made different judgment calls. But he was so focused on just destroying national socialist Germany that he was willing to put Britain into this position where it would have no choice but to be dependent on the U.S.
[00:38:43] Even though, again, he knew, and he talked with Roosevelt about the fact that Britain wanted, or sorry, FDR wanted Britain to dismantle its empire after the war. Well, to that end, one of the aspects that is so fascinating about this book is that it walks you through what happened. You know, a particular interest to our people, we're coming on a break, Taylor. I think I'm going to put you at a disadvantage of trying to shoehorn this in before the music begins.
[00:39:13] But this book walks you through what happened to the Dutch settlers in the Indos and Indonesia, to the whites in Rhodesia, certainly to the old order in South Africa. A lot of people still treat apartheid and colonial rule as the original sin. How does this book answer the charge that any defense of those systems is just nostalgia for oppression?
[00:39:35] Well, I think it makes the argument that those systems were a kind of rational, organic outgrowth out of something that, you know, like the whole period of imperialism and colonization was a long time. Like at some point you're talking about Europeans who've lived in even places like Indonesia, where, you know, you don't think of Europeans as living there for generations, right? And they were part of these colonial governments.
[00:40:03] And these colonial governments had, you know, these arrangements helped to protect them from the natives. And the U.S. was a big part of essentially kind of like ripping off these protections. And in many cases that resulted in very brutal violence against Europeans. And, you know, their home countries are not blameless by any means in many of these cases.
[00:40:30] I mean, what you can read in Bolton's book about Indonesia is kind of particularly tragic because, again, you read about these very, very brutal reprisals against Europeans. And the Dutch government essentially just ignored them. And it's very sad. We'll be right back. One more segment with Taylor Young. We are talking about the latest title released by Antelope Hill Publishing, Rise of the Dollar Empire, How America Dethroned Europe by Kerry Bolton, who has got another great title there as well.
[00:41:00] Stay tuned. We'll be back. It is common for politicians, major media outlets, and nonprofits to hype white on black murders aggressively or even claim that blacks are living in fear of white people. Lends for simply being black. Hard to believe, but that's what was done. And some people still want to do that. This is why National Conservative launched the Interracial Homicide Tracking Project. We have now documented well over 2,000 confirmed interracial homicides since January 2023
[00:41:30] and created the most comprehensive overview of these killings anyone has ever made. We plug the gaping holes in data left by other homicide trackers and government crime stats. Rather than engaging in hyperbole and vitriolic rhetoric like everyone else, we are simply creating a massive sample size of empirical evidence so people can form rational and informed opinions about a sensitive and politically charged issue. [00:43:23] Taylor has become a great friend, certainly, but more importantly than that, I think, is the great work they are doing for the cause. Just during that last break, I was browsing through the entire catalog. I'm at AntelopePillPublishing.com. I'm scrolling up and down, and I see these children's books. You know, I've got some of these titles here at the house, you know, including The Thrilling Adventures of the Early Settlers. That's something I read to my son a couple of years ago.
[00:43:50] I see intolerant interpretations by Josh Neal. Josh, you know, this was really one of the finest, well, certainly one of the moments that made me most proud. Our 20th anniversary conference year before last in South Carolina. Josh Neal was there at the Antelope Hill table signing these copies. I think he sold out of every copy that he brought there of intolerant interpretations.
[00:44:17] You have, of course, the Faith and Heritage Anthology. This goes back. I mean, this goes way back. We've been talking about my pastor in the first hour. I mean, this goes way back. And then, of course, the third edition of the Culture of Critique. I was at my wife's – I dropped my wife off at a hair salon appointment in January of last year.
[00:44:43] Kevin calls me and he says, you know, I'm finishing up the third edition of Culture of Critique. I was looking, you know, I'm going to self-publish. I said, wait, wait. Why are you self-publishing? Let me make a call. Would you be willing to work with Antelope Hill? Oh, yeah, yeah. And I said, well, they just do such great work with the design, with the editing, with the production, the distribution. You need to talk to them. While I was there, January of 25, made a couple of calls.
[00:45:12] They got in touch with one another. They worked it out. And by this time last year, that third edition of Culture of Critique was out. The – perhaps the foremost book on understanding Jewish behavioral evolutionary psychology. So, Taylor, I just appreciate all of it. I appreciate all of it. I appreciate this book.
[00:45:38] And this book is Rise of the Dollar Empire, How America Dethroned Europe, the latest title by Antelope Hill Publishing. And then we've got to really make haste now because I took too much time with all of that. But this – okay, let's go back to this. Bolton claims that the so-called anti-colonial movements were fostered and funded from the United States and that what followed wasn't independent nations so much as economies tied to international finance.
[00:46:05] So, again, you look at India, Indonesia, Algeria, Kenya. What should a regular American conclude about who actually won the post-World War II decolonization? Well, I think that they should conclude that – well, you know, it depends, I guess, how blunt you want to be about it. You can say that Wall Street won. You can say the globalists won.
[00:46:34] You can say our friends in the small hats won. You know, and they show up at some very interesting points in this book and, you know, have historically used finance and debt slavery as one of their primary strategies. So, you know, something along those lines.
[00:47:00] But certainly, you know, I think it's really important to put all this stuff together on a long historical timeline, which is exactly what this book does. And, I mean, even if you think about American history itself, you know, it's not that long a period of time between the Civil War when our country was literally at war with the South.
[00:47:34] Yes, yes, yes, yes.
[00:47:54] Economically speaking, you know, we certainly haven't benefited from this foreign policy of invading the world, inviting the world, you know, outsourcing our industry and all that. And all of it goes hand in hand. And that's, I think, what's important to realize, that it's not like these are, you know, these are disconnected puzzle pieces or building blocks that you could have put together in a different order. Like, no, this is all one thing.
[00:48:19] And it's driven by these globalized financial forces that unfortunately have historically had such a disproportionate sway over setting American foreign and domestic policy.
[00:48:35] And so, yeah, you know, like what what benefit is it to me for, you know, America to try so hard to get rid of, you know, British and French colonial governments and Algeria, India, you know, Kenya, wherever else.
[00:48:50] Like, what does that have to do with me, especially considering, you know, that the economy that they're being integrated into is this globalized, you know, economy that is also responsible for outsourcing so much industry and so many jobs. And so, yeah, you know, like it's again, globalism is is a worldwide problem.
[00:49:18] And it's really one one specific group that that benefits from it. And it's not us. And, you know, whatever language you may sometimes want to dress it up in, you know, it can be sometimes dressed up in more kind of like patriotic language, you know, about American supremacy or something. But that really doesn't benefit Americans. You know, our lives aren't are getting better. These are all forces that are have made our lives worse. And so it's absolutely not.
[00:49:44] You know, we have not benefited from from this decolonization strategy. If you're enjoying this conversation, you're going to love the book Rise of the Dollar Empire, How America Dethroned Europe at Antelope Hill Publishing dot com. The author is Kerry Bolton. We're talking about this book and its author with Taylor Young tonight of the editorial board of Antelope Hill. And you mentioned something actually, Taylor, there just as a passing remark, I think.
[00:50:13] But it was something that I actually mentioned on the way up to Washington last week with my family. And it's that because we had stopped to visit the graves of Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson. I said, you know, it's really astonishing as we headed into Washington named after, of course, George Washington. It was 100 years between I mean, really a little bit less than 100 years between the Revolutionary War and the war between the states and 100 years between the war between the states and the Beatles.
[00:50:37] So a lot of change can happen in a relatively 100 years is is is is a long lifetime. But it's it's you could you could stretch that into saying in three lifetimes, you know, all this change has occurred. So I think there is some hope in that there is some hope that great change can occur. And at least in the history of the world or the history of the West, relatively short amounts of time.
[00:51:03] And with just two minutes remaining, the review at countercurrents that I mentioned by Morris Vandekamp of this book ends on a note of hope that shutting down outfits like USAID and cutting off pipelines that used to bankroll third world revolutionists. It is something that could happen. And if you read Bolton's book, you know, one question.
[00:51:26] What is one question that people should be asking their congressman or or whomever about America's role in post 1945, the post 1945 order? You know, what hope can we draw on that? What questions should we be asking? How can you use the knowledge of this book as a springboard into some sort of reclamation?
[00:51:47] Sure. So so I think the answer I would give is something along the lines of, you know, if you're directing this to a congressman, like can can America coexist with economically independent nations? Because and Bolton makes this very interesting point in the book as well, that when you look at, for example, the Cold War, it was not actually an ideological conflict against communism.
[00:52:16] And the U.S. was opposed to some communist movements. In some cases, it was allied with them. In some cases, it used intentionally Marxist and leftist and kind of like post post Soviet, you know, brands of leftism all to attack the Soviet Union,
[00:52:35] because it was really the problem was that the Soviet Union represented this collective power block, you know, this this collectivist state, even if from our perspective, it's, you know, a very subpar version of it. But again, that was really that that is the only way that you can actually understand everything that was going on in the Cold War.
[00:52:55] And so, you know, really, this again, this this octopus, you know, to conjure some famous images of, you know, global finance is is something that grows stronger. The more places that can kind of infect and get its get its tentacles into.
[00:53:20] And so, you know, really, if you were I think if you're trying to boil down just to one thing, like what is the way to to cut off the the power that this globalized financial elite has that is demonstrated throughout the book is, you know, you you have to have nations that pursue political and economic independence.
[00:53:47] And unfortunately, historically, America has often been used to destroy those nations. And so, you know, we need to stop doing that, essentially. If we're going to win, folks, and I believe we will, it's going to be through knowledge is going to be through knowledge presented in the right way is going to be through people like Taylor Young and Antelope Hill Publishing. If you believe we're going to win, play a part on that winning team. We're in our third quarter fundraising drive here for TPC. Get a title from antelope hill publishing dot com.
[00:54:17] Get this book. Get any of the great books they have on offer in their catalog. Not entirely too far away to start thinking about Christmas as we now turn the page of the calendar to September. The autumn equinox is coming fast. Thank you, Taylor Young, for your friendship, for your partnership, for all the work you do at Antelope Hill Publishing. For Warren Baylog, I'm James Edwards. We'll talk to you next week.
