Radio Show Hour 1 – 2026/10/10

Radio Show Hour 1 – 2026/10/10

Hosts James Edwards and Keith Alexander discuss two remarkable stories. The first concerns antifa violence that occurred last weekend in Portland, Oregon, and the second involves an unprecedented murder that happened a few weeks ago in Jackson, Mississippi.

[00:00:01] You're listening to the Liberty News Radio Network, and this is The Political Cesspool. The Political Cesspool, known across the South and worldwide as the South's foremost populist conservative radio program. And here to guide you through the murky waters of The Political Cesspool is your host, James Edwards.

[00:00:32] Welcome everybody to tonight's live broadcast of TPC. I'm your host, James Edwards. This Saturday evening, October the 10th, the midterms now, just three and a half weeks away. And we are going to be talking more about that with an ensemble panel of guests in the second hour, one of these shows where each guest gets a segment to talk about whatever issue he is most interested in in the run-up to the midterms

[00:01:00] and how they think things are going to play out and maybe some interesting races they're keeping an eye on. One of them, for me, is the Ohio gubernatorial race between Ramaswamy and Amy Acton, the Jewish Democratic nominee for governor. And so anyway, that's coming up in the second hour. But first, we are going to have, I think, really some fun tonight, even a couple of laughs, if we may dare to do so. I've got some stories this first hour.

[00:01:30] Two stories that were just tailor-made for this radio program. And then in the third hour, don't go anywhere. Stay tuned for the entire program tonight. We are going to honor Christopher Columbus on this Columbus Day weekend. Columbus Day, obviously, on Monday. And we typically do this every year, not necessarily every year, but we've certainly done it many times over our run, honoring Christopher Columbus on that last Saturday before Columbus Day.

[00:01:58] And we're going to tie that into some historical fact and even some reasons for hope. So we're going to make it interesting and maybe a little different from some of those previous year's coverages of Columbus Day. That's coming up in the third hour. But first, let's say hello to Keith Alexander, and we'll unpack our first gift for you tonight. This story, just really something. Keith, how are you tonight? Doing all right.

[00:02:22] Everything's, you know, right on schedule as far as, you know, my medical situation. And a lot of people emailed after you mentioned that last week with a great degree of candor. And, well, it is a community here and truly a family. And so I know a lot of people. In fact, I got a note right here. We have no secrets from our audience, right? This index card was sent in from a listener in Texas.

[00:02:48] And Jay said, get well soon, Keith Alexander the Great. And thank you for your support of our third quarter fundraising drive as well, Jay. Well, Keith, it is good to hear that. You can't keep a good man down, and we certainly can't spare you. But I got this first story. You know, it is getting close to Halloween. And so there's been a few tricks that have been played already, and we're going to be covering those this hour. The first one from Portland, Oregon.

[00:03:16] So I got an email last weekend from one of the two featured speakers at this gathering of nationalists in Portland who are white. And he said, well, there was a pretty interesting time in Portland. And he afforded me a story. Of course, every day out there is probably interesting.

[00:03:46] We'd find it interesting. But go ahead. Now, both of the featured speakers at this gathering in Portland, which was a private event, of course, are very dear friends of ours, Keith. And regulars on this program will reveal their identity in just a moment. But also, TPC listener and supporter Jimmy up in Washington State sent me a story from the Oregonian, which I'll read from in just a moment.

[00:04:12] But I could break it down and verbally detail it for you. But sometimes you just have to hear the establishment news coverage of something like this. Listen to the absolute hysterics. This is a major network affiliate in Portland, Oregon. It's a two-minute clip detailing what happened.

[00:04:35] Now, what happened was these people met for a private conference on a Saturday night, last Saturday night. And then the following Sunday morning, a few of them went to eat at a local farm-to-table restaurant. It was an award-winning restaurant. The name of the restaurant is Clark Lewis. They couldn't possibly call it Lewis and Clark, but they called it Clark Lewis. And anyway, it's a very fancy, award-winning restaurant in Portland. Now, this was not an official event.

[00:05:03] It was just a collection of some of the people who had attended the private event the night before going and having a meal. And this Antifa found out that they were so-called white nationalists. And, well, here's what happened. Let's play the clip. This is a Coin 6 News breaking news alert. Damage done this afternoon in a confrontation that has shut down a fine dining restaurant in southeast Portland. Windows broken.

[00:05:33] Welcome to Coin 6 News. I'm Lisa Balick. It happened at Clark Lewis. A restaurant, a group on social media called for a rally there, believing a group of white nationalists were dining there. Our Ariel Salk is there live trying to sort this all out. Ariel, what's happening? That restaurant actually is owned by members of the LGBTQ plus community. It's true. And they've proudly waved this flag, the rainbow flag, outside of their restaurant for years and years.

[00:06:03] Now, right now, we still see a few protesters out here. Every once in a while, one of the owners will pop out and try to talk to them. But it does not seem like those talks are going very well, going very far. I've seen a few people come in, try to eat there tonight. They are closed for the evening, and those protesters are handing out flyers calling this restaurant, saying they hosted an event for Nazis. Though, the owner tells me they did not. Or at least, they didn't intend to.

[00:06:30] The owner tells me that a group rented a space today to host a brunch. They did not do a research into what the group's name was. They later found out that a group of protesters went on social media and said, claiming that this group was white nationalists. The owner tells me he does not know what this group's affiliation was.

[00:06:59] The group of protesters came to the restaurant confronting the people who were eating brunch and breaking that window and some of the other items within the restaurant. I got a lot of texts asking me why we were supporting white supremacists. And I was like, I don't know what you're talking about. And really, when it came down to it, then we would not have. We would, in fact, would not have had them here.

[00:07:26] The owner tells me that this event was so traumatic for some of his employees. One quit. A few others left for the day. They did have to close for the day as well. Not just closing for their dinner and their happy hour, but they also had a private wedding event scheduled tonight for one of their former employees. So that, unfortunately, was also canceled for those folks. We have reached out to Portland police to see if they can confirm what they saw here as well, if there's any arrests.

[00:07:54] I went up to these protesters earlier today and asked if any of them would like to do an interview, and they declined. I am in the process of tracking down this group that scheduled this brunch to see if any of these claims of them being white nationalists is even true. But we're going to keep you updated on air and online at coin.com. Reporting live in Southeast Portland, Daryl Salt. All right. All right. All right.

[00:08:17] So you had an event of law-abiding great people by all accounts. And the two people who were there as the speakers of this one-day-only conference last Saturday in Portland are friends of the program, great friends. And then the following day, you had a break-off group of just some of the people who so happened to be at the actual event the night before go privately to have a meal.

[00:08:46] So I don't even understand. They're trying to do all of this investigative research now. I mean, every time you have a party walk into a restaurant, are they supposed to come over to the corner and fill out a questionnaire as to what their political beliefs are? Well, the two people who were the keynoters at this thing were none other than Jared Taylor and Peter Brimelow. Now, Peter Brimelow is, of course, as you know, the former editor of Forbes magazine and the Wall Street Journal, among other things.

[00:09:12] And Jared Taylor, one of the most genteel, polite men you could ever meet in the world of any ideological stripe. So these were the two people. Now, I know that our audience is much more intelligent than the average American. So you understand when you hear a news report like this and you're talking about or they are talking about white supremacists, you think what they really mean, and that is a white person who doesn't hate themselves, a normal white person.

[00:09:42] Everybody's a white supremacist now unless they're voting for Kamala. But when normal people see this on the news, I mean, they're thinking Skokie, Illinois. They're thinking people in full NSDAP or Klan robes or anything like that. And, you know, of course, even they have a right. I thought this was what the civil rights movement, the so-called civil rights movement, was all about,

[00:10:10] that you would have equal access to accommodations, to restaurants, to the lunch counter, to hotels, to water fountains and restrooms. Well, I guess, you know, again, Keith, as we have always known, that wasn't really what it was all about. It was about basically just whites. Being anti-white. Whites switching places. And now you don't have the right to go into a restaurant and eat if you have beliefs that Antifa doesn't adhere to.

[00:10:38] And here's the thing, too, that is really interesting. So Antifa busted out windows in this restaurant. Somehow, I guess, somebody in the group, whether it was Jared or Peter or whomever, was recognized. And the word got out that they were there. And so the local Antifa, which is very active and very well organized, they have a rapid response, obviously. In Portland, they can get to a venue while the people are still ordering their meals. They just run out of the mayor's office, probably. And they start breaking out windows.

[00:11:07] Now, what was not said in that particular clip you heard, but what has been reported in newspaper coverage about this really violent terrorist attack, is that the restaurant owners, so I think it was about 40 people that went to eat there that day from this group that Jared and Peter spoke to.

[00:11:30] And I think the total bill was about somewhere around $2,000 for 40 people to eat at a high-end restaurant. And the owners donated it to the people who were breaking their windows to show a solidarity with their cause. And, I mean, that really just beats all I've ever seen. That beats all I've ever seen. And did you hear also those people, those so-called protesters who were breaking out windows and causing this restaurant to shut down,

[00:12:00] they had a wedding reception for one of their own employees scheduled for later that night that they had to cancel as a result. I wonder if it was an LGBT wedding. Well, probably was. But they had broken down these windows. And so you couldn't have the – for one of their own employees, they couldn't have this wedding reception later that night. And those people were still standing there while the news covered. The news reporter, as you heard, went over there and asked them for interviews. And if you watched the actual clip, they're all over there.

[00:12:27] And, of course, in their headgear and their scarves, so you can only see their eyes. And they were still standing there. They had just caused this vandalism. And nobody's arrested. The news is trying to interview them as if – And then they're getting bribed or groups there or causes they're associated with. They're getting payouts. And the problem was that a group that had come to hear Peter Brimelow talk was trying to eat a meal. Oh, man.

[00:12:57] Take it. Well, you know, politics makes strange bedfellows. And I think we've seen the birth of a new group, the white nationalist LBGT movement, is apparently upon us now. Well, I'm joking about this, of course. But, you know, only in Portland, Oregon would you have something like this happening. And, you know, people as genteel, as you said, as Peter Brimolo and Jared Taylor are, you know,

[00:13:29] apparently, you know, right out of Mississippi burning or something like that as far as the left is concerned. But Portland, Oregon is really a place now. We have – we know a lot of good people that live up there, but they're definitely a minority. That's Mark Weber's home. He doesn't live there now, but that's where he was born and raised. Well, you know, it is – it's really amazing. You know, the truth is stranger than fiction.

[00:13:57] And basically, they have at the beck and call of any leftists there an Antifa group that is ready, willing, and able to come in and bust out windows and cause mayhem and physical harm to people for just having a meeting. And see, apparently – It wasn't even a meeting there. I mean, they were just eating there on their own time the day after the meeting. Yeah, the meeting was the day before, but apparently they learned from us, which is that you don't tell people what you are and what you're doing.

[00:14:27] You just show up. And that's what they did and everything. And, you know, even then, within 24 hours, Antifa had mobilized and came in there and basically – It wasn't even that. I mean, they mobilized within the time these people were seated and before they could finish their meal. I mean, there was nothing that was advertised – it was an impromptu thing that they even went there to eat the next day. I mean, this wasn't anything that was advertised.

[00:14:51] Somebody got recognized and the calls went out and they had a group there ready to inflict damage and harm in the amount of time it takes to sit down, be seated, and before you can get out and pay the bill, this was already taking place. That's how fast – they got recognized on the spot and got there in that amount of time. Well, so much for freedom of assembly and association up in Portland, Oregon. You see now that basically the most dangerous group parts of the country for people who are free thinkers

[00:15:21] are places that have ultra-majority white populations like Portland, Oregon. These people don't learn. They have strange ideas. People in places like Minnesota, people from the Pacific Northwest are particularly susceptible to left-wing Jewish propaganda on race. Sort of, but not really.

[00:15:44] I mean, I see what you're saying, and it is interesting how these hardscrabble people who traversed and blazed the Oregon Trail and ended up in that part of the country. And originally, when the state of Oregon was founded, they had in their charter a provision that prevented black people from emigrating to Oregon. Well, sure. I mean, the people going there were right-thinking people that came from the South or the Midwest.

[00:16:14] I mean, that was just an incredible thing. I mean, you risked your life. Indians, disease, sickness, starvation. I mean, anything could have happened. So many people died making that Westford, that Westford, Westford, Westward, Westward, Westward, Trek. W-A-R-D. And then now this is what Portland's become. But it's like Ted Pike said, though. God bless Reverend Ted Pike, who used to be such a regular guest on the program in the early years.

[00:16:41] Most of Oregon is Red County. It's just Portland that is so left-wing that brings down the whole state. But if you look at the rural counties of Oregon, it doesn't look very dissimilar to the rural counties in the South. And, of course, rural counties are very much aligned with us. Quite frankly, what you find is that the cities are where the hotbed of liberalism is. And that goes everywhere in America and in Europe.

[00:17:10] It's, you know, this thing about red states and blue states. There really aren't red states and blue states. There are red states and red states with blue tumors called cities. And we've got them even here. I mean, Atlanta, Memphis. I mean, but they're not enough to bring. Well, in Georgia they are now. But in Tennessee, I mean, even Nashville and Memphis can't bring down the state because there's so many people in these counties. In the West, not as much. More sparsely populated.

[00:17:36] But even in a place like Portland and Seattle and whatnot, they see cities, not the rural areas. In fact, there's a secession movement in the eastern part of Oregon and in Washington to secede and join part of and become aligned with Idaho or to be a separate state because their politics are so different from the politics of the cities that tend to dominate the political life of Washington State and Oregon.

[00:18:03] So we were tying this in to the so-called civil rights movement. And, again, the whole idea that everybody should have equal rights to accommodations and restaurants and facilities certainly doesn't play in Portland, that's for sure. I think you have people visiting terroristic violence and they're getting bribes and positive news coverage.

[00:18:33] But there is an absolutely wild story out of Jackson, Mississippi. Mississippi. I've got to tell you, I've never seen anything like this. You've heard of race hoax that are perpetrated by blacks. Jussie Smollett, obviously. I mean, there's so many. So many. They're innumerable. But there have been some very famous ones in recent years. Jussie Smollett, obviously. Now, that was a great one. He was walking around in Chicago.

[00:19:02] You remember this story? And two guys that he had dressed up with the Make America Great Again hats were just waiting around at 2 a.m. with, like, kerosene and ropes. They're like some Jamaican bodybuilders or something. And then you had Bubba, the race car driver, who, you know, because there was a piece of twine or rope, you know, to open the garage door. He said somebody put that there to intimidate him. Every garage had that on the racetrack. But it was put there to intimidate.

[00:19:31] And then, well, there's just so many. I mean, there were so many examples in racism schmaces in my book from 2010. But this one from Jackson, I can't say I've quite seen before. I cannot say I've quite seen it before. Sam Bushman told me about this story when I was on his show earlier this week. There was an actual lynching in Jackson. You know this story, Keith. That's why you're laughing.

[00:19:59] An actual lynching that took place in Jackson, Mississippi in August of this year. And I'm not talking about a political lynching. I'm not talking about using the word lynching figuratively. Or metaphorically. Or metaphorically. I am talking about a black woman was hanged with a rope on a tree in August of 2026 in Jackson, Mississippi. She was 29 years old.

[00:20:29] Her name was Tassia Fortune. And here's what happened. She was killed. And then her dead body was lynched. Now, that is just. Hung from a rope. Yes, yes, yes. Thank you. Thank you. Yeah, I guess technically. And there's probably. You would think now that is. A made for TV movie. If I've ever heard of one in modern day.

[00:20:58] I mean, this is John Grisham. Hollywood would have filled every motel room in Jackson, Mississippi. What it was portrayed to be. This is John Grisham's dream come true. I mean, this is. John Grisham's wet dream. Fodder for another 10 books. But. So what happened was, though, she was. Her body was found hanging from a tree behind an abandoned home in Jackson, Mississippi on August 3rd, 2026.

[00:21:26] Now, what do we know about Jackson? About 90 percent black. And they've had in recent years an absolute and outright black nationalist mayor. Yeah, a guy with the name Lumumba. And he's the son of the original Lumumba. And, you know, Lumumba back in the days of the Belgian Congo in the 60s, it gives you ideas of people in grass skirts beating on bongo drums and whatnot.

[00:21:53] But, you know, this is this is a sure enough black nationalist mayor who wants who, you know, his black nationalism stops at the bank, though. He just he's always begging the federal government, the honky federal government or the honky state government of Mississippi to bail him out and send money to Jackson, Mississippi. Well, it's so funny. And then the white flight area.

[00:22:23] There is a very, very nice, very wealthy, very clean area just north of Jackson. Well, they have several. They even have south. They've got Pearl, which is more of a working class white suburb. But what you've got about all of suburban Jackson, Mississippi is white. And the city itself is a dark hue of black. Well, it's almost just I mean, just it's so interesting.

[00:22:48] You have this little town right outside of Jackson called Madison, Mississippi, which is very wealthy, very white. And it's it's Redsland is another one. It's set right on the Ross Barnett Reservoir, which is one of these, you know, lakes made by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Beautiful. I mean, there's there's marinas, you know, of course, Ross Barnett, you know, this very, you know, lake was named after a segregationist era governor, Ross Barnett of Mississippi.

[00:23:17] So that's all going on in Jackson. But then getting back to the story. But what was the story? OK, this person hung after being killed from a tree on a rope. So you've heard about these racial hoax. This this is one for the Hall of Fame. So she was killed, allegedly. I mean, there are two suspects in custody for murder.

[00:23:41] She was allegedly killed by two black men during a drug dispute. Yeah. Had something to do with money. So so two black men are arrested. These are the suspects for allegedly having killed her over a drug dispute. And they are being held right now without bond. They kill her. And not wanting to let this death go to waste, they find an opportunity here to.

[00:24:11] Hey, you know, we can hang her in a tree and stir up hatred for white people. And another, you know, and why not? National news story. Exactly. Well, it didn't make national news because it unraveled so fast. I didn't even hear about it until this very week. But according to police, Detective Samuel Dukes and the state medical examiner, Fortune died following a physical struggle during the drug dispute. Investigators testified that the hanging was staged to look like a lynching after the killing.

[00:24:42] Multiple suspects have been arrested, including 51 year old Jarks Ratliff and Ernest Lloyd Jr. charging them with murder. We'll be right back. [00:28:55] It is common for politicians, major media outlets, and non-profits to hype white on black murders aggressively. Or even claim that blacks are living in fear of white people. Lends for simply being black. Hard to believe, but that's what was done. And some people still want to do that. This is why National Conservative launched the Interracial Homicide Tracking Project.

[00:29:22] We have now documented well over 2,000 confirmed interracial homicides since January 2023. And created the most comprehensive overview of these killings anyone has ever made. We plug the gaping holes in data left by other homicide trackers and government crime stats. Rather than engaging in hyperbole and vitriolic rhetoric like everyone else, we are simply creating a massive sample size of empirical evidence

[00:29:48] so people can form rational and informed opinions about a sensitive and politically charged issue. Visit natcon.life. N-A-T-C-O-N dot L-I-F-E. Alright, so here it is. So you know what happened now. Two blacks, at least two, they murder a woman, a black woman,

[00:30:17] over an alleged drug dispute, and then they hang her after she's dead. Now, the media still, to the extent that it reported on it at all, is still gaslighting, Keith. I really enjoyed last week's show, too, by the way, talking about the two similarly interesting stories. Number one, all of the Afro-Muslim violence in France, which has continued throughout this week.

[00:30:47] I mean, straight up, the media is still presenting this as concerned students protesting over their teachers not being paid enough. Or not having the right textbooks. Yes. I mean, they're doing it because that's just what they're genetically predisposed to do. And when they're not stopped and when they mass in a mob... It's never Muslims. It's always teenagers. Yes. It's just... Well, in this case, it's also students. Or blacks, you know. Well, they don't even say that. They just...

[00:31:16] Students are protesting school conditions. But I mean, no, they're just Afro-Muslims. That's who's doing it. I mean, it's straight up, this mob of blacks in France has probably done more damage to France than the Germans did. And the media is still reporting this as if it's just concerned students, you know, wanting a better education. Give me a damn break, you lions. Yeah, they're scholars. They've got scholarly concerns. That's exactly right. And then this case with Cornell.

[00:31:46] Cornell, Richard Parker did a great job last week breaking down the Cornell so-called rape scandal. And this woman, you know, the media is just treating this woman's spurious claims as being unimpeachable. And this has taken another twist. This has taken another twist since last week. Are you ready for this, Keith? I hope so. Now listen. I'm seated at least. One of the fraternity boys has gotten wise.

[00:32:15] And he has filed a countersuit because the whole thing was, well, because she had had some beer and some drugs that she recreationally consumed, that's why this was rape. He said, well, wait a minute. I was on drugs and drunk too, so she raped me. And he's filed a countersuit about saying that she, you know, she had raped him, actually, if you think about it. But the media is still reporting this, of course, as if, you know, this me-tooism. But then here in this case

[00:32:44] in Jackson, involving this modern-day lynching, what are they reporting on? Now, they didn't report on it much because they couldn't. It's so embarrassing. But one story goes into this, not just saying, hey, blacks need to cut out these racial hoaxes. It's embarrassing. Be better. They don't say that. This is from one story. The visual nature of the crime scene caused deep fear and pain in the community,

[00:33:14] recalling Mississippi's painful history of racial violence and lynchings. Now, I want to talk about that. I want to talk about that. To the extent that there was racial violence in Mississippi, it was remarkably restrained, certainly from the perspective of the whites. I mean, you can name literally every black who, for every Emmett Till, I can give you

[00:33:43] an exponential number of cases like the Knoxville Horror. Black on white murder, black on white rape, black on white violent crime. The statistics are just absolutely... Yeah, black on white crime far outpaces white on black crime and always has and always will. Well, you can name Medgar Evers, the bombing of the church in Birmingham. It is literally a handful and that is it.

[00:34:12] And if you go back to the entire history of the United States, there are very few lynchings. Very few. And who's to say that a lot of them weren't justified? Do you know the history of all these cases of every single lynching? I mean, who's to say? I mean, you know, how many of them were just whites going out looking for trouble and looking for a good time and they found some honest, innocent black and just decided to string him up? I bet that that never happened once. To be honest with you, I bet that that never happened once. Well, look,

[00:34:44] it's not... You want the justice system to play out and taking somebody out of the jail even if they are guilty is not proper, okay? But on the other hand, the numbers between 1865, the end of the Civil War, and 1965 of lynchings, basically, it would match two years of black-on-black killings in Chicago. You know,

[00:35:13] it's... They want to make a reality that doesn't exist. That's right. That's what they're trying to do. They want to tell people that black people are in fear of their lives from whites who want to kill them. And, quite frankly, the reality is just the opposite of that. By far, black-on-white murders, for example, every year

[00:35:43] far outstrip white-on-black murders. Well, I think, to your point before, yeah, I was thinking more hypothetically, not busting people out of jail, but if you walk in for instance, on somebody raping your wife or had just murdered somebody in your family, you string them up. I mean, that's a little bit different. I mean, you're going back hundreds of years now in some cases. During that hundred-year period when supposedly the Klan road roughshod over

[00:36:12] the black population in America and the black people were being lynched on a regular basis, well, guess what? The numbers just don't bear it out. The numbers would show you that there are more black-on-black murders in Chicago than there have been white-on-black murders that would possibly be called lynchings in an entire century. Keith just nailed it. That's a mic drop moment, Keith.

[00:36:42] That's exactly right. I mean, if you take all of them, all of them, it's an average year in Chicago. Yeah. If that much. At least an average two years. And so, nevertheless, that might be, we'd have to get the exact numbers on that, but you see the comparison. But nevertheless, this is how the media is reporting it. Well, it's a teachable moment still. Yes, this was a hoax, but it could have been. It could have happened.

[00:37:10] And don't forget, there was a couple of murders that happened in the 1960s. Let's be sure to talk about that. Let's not at all talk about how many black or white regularly occurring. You see, they don't get media attention, so they didn't happen, right? It's like the tree falls in the forest and you don't see it, you don't hear it. If a tree falls in the forest and nobody's around, did it make a noise? Well, it doesn't make a noise in our media because our media is run by the left and the left doesn't want to portray

[00:37:40] blacks as being violent. For God's sake, what about that murder of that little white boy, Connor Heinent, whose basketball rolled into the yard of his black neighbor and the black walked over and executed him where he stood? Just a three-year-old boy? I guess a trespass justifies it. I mean, you know, that is, he walked over and shot the kid in his head while he was riding his bike. There was another example of this before my Twitter got shut down. There was another example of a young girl

[00:38:10] who had similar situations. She just got gunned down on her porch by a black neighbor. I mean, that is far more of an exaggeration of, and it's a true story, than the exaggerated examples that they bring except for the 1960s. And these are far more current and far more likely and far more numerous. And that's the reason why there is white flight, okay? People know that if, white people know that if they live among black people, they're liable

[00:38:40] to be victims of crime like that. Well, let's see here. Well, it reminds me that this is another reason why I love doing this show. I mean, going back and talking about this history, the real history, and being able to tell these truths, but it does remind me again, talking about the 1960s. I'm not going to bring this up again. This is three weeks in a row we've done it, but I just really, Keith,

[00:39:10] enjoyed that third hour we did two weeks ago where we had Mike Wharton and Bill Lord and Sam Dixon, the three who had to various degrees and capacities, some more than others, had worked on George Wallace's campaign up to and including Bill Lord basically being George Wallace's personal liaison or emissary to the celebrities driving around Jerry Lee Lewis. Just all this history, and they know what was really going on back then, and they know why they were fighting, and we sent each of those people who participated

[00:39:39] in that hour, each of our guests that hour, a copy of the George Wallace DVD that we were talking about last month, but it is a privilege and a blessing to be able to bring people like that on. I don't know when the last time anybody who was a high-level functionary in George Wallace's pivotal campaigns has been interviewed by anybody, not even in our podcast ecosystem on the right. Well, Bill Lord in particular, I think,

[00:40:09] deserves our applause and our kudos because what he did was, one, absolutely needed and, two, irreplaceable. He basically, of his own efforts, but with assistance from others, created 12 segregation academies in the Mississippi Delta where white children could go after their public schools had been integrated and no telling how many lives

[00:40:39] were saved by that activity. It could have very well been literal lives saved, but certainly, I can guarantee you, a lot of white boys and girls were spared being accosted and otherwise assaulted. Turned into prostitutes or whatever. Who knows? Who knows? But we know some good people. We bring them to you. We're going to take a break. We're going to come back. [00:43:07] we are back and making haste. Again, folks, don't go anywhere. Stay tuned the whole hour. We are going to have in the third hour a tribute to Christopher Columbus. I'm very eager, actually, to get to that hour. I'm looking forward to that. I think we have some interesting hooks for this Columbus Day tribute this year, and I look forward to honoring God's servant who changed the world as a result of his expiration. And if you are interested in following up, more additional coverage on the riots in France,

[00:43:38] the race riots in France, let's call them what they are, and also the situation at Cornell. Nick Griffin has a very long, deep dive. I texted Nick asking what happened in France a few days ago, and he has written a very lengthy response on his sub stack, which we'll be posting, or you can go there and find it now at his sub stack. And then I also did a follow-up interview with Richard Parker for American Free Press on Cornell, and those will both be up

[00:44:07] at thepoliticalcesspool.org in the coming days. Before we pivot into the second hour, which is going to be an ensemble panel of four guests, one per segment, offering their takes on the upcoming midterms and the issues that are defining it. Just a quick thing, Keith, going back to this story from Portland with the restaurant. Now, we had a little bit of experience with that. We never had as much action as they did, but we used to do these little restaurant gatherings when we were cutting our teeth,

[00:44:36] and one of the restaurants that we used to meet at regularly was demolished, and you saw that this week. They tore it down, raised it. This was actually a scheduled demolition, not just Antifa demolishing it, but brought back some memories this week. You saw that, Keith. It was a former Shoney's restaurant. Now, for people who live outside of the region or maybe around the world and are tuned in tonight, let them know what Shoney's is all about. Shoney's was named after a guy named Schoenbaum, and he had, as a trademark,

[00:45:06] a little chubby guy with red hair, I think, basically, or maybe brown hair, holding a hamburger on a platter, and those particular statues, I guess you would call them, are much prized by collectors now, but anyway, this was one of the last places that was a Shoney's, and I remember it, I will always remember it in regard to Paul Frome, who was passing through town with his medicine show, basically, and he was selling books,

[00:45:36] and I was going to go out there and look at the debris and everything where they tore down this thing to see if any of his books were still there. So, back in the early days of the show, back in the mid-2000s, we used to do this more back then we could. Now, we have private events, and they're much bigger in scale, so the Shoney's meeting room wouldn't fit us anymore, but back in those days, we had regular meetings

[00:46:06] in Memphis for the local listeners at the Shoney's restaurant. We used to do that, we got that idea going back to the Buchanan campaign. We used to do stuff for Pat there. Now, Pat didn't show up at Shoney's, but we did local organizing meetings for them. Kind of like, well, you know, basically Portland, Oregon is catching up now with what America, what Memphis was like, let's say, 20 years ago. Well, and, because that's when we were having these restaurant meetings, and now they're having restaurant meetings like that up in Portland, Oregon, so.

[00:46:36] I don't know if we actually pioneered the whole idea of meeting in a restaurant, but I mean, I see what you're saying. I've got tongue-in-cheek. Well, the Shoney's had a private meeting room, and so we used to have a lot of Reform Party meetings there for the different workers, and it became sort of a base of operation. The Shoney's, Liz, actually, I'll tell you what we're going to do, Liz, we're just going to save that clip for next week. It'll still be fine next week, that clip we're going to play this segment. We'll just save it for next week

[00:47:06] so we don't get off this, and I don't think we'd have time to work it all in now. Keith and I are reminiscing, walking down memory lane. We're doing a little Southern Porch talk now, but as a result of those experiences in the 2000 campaign, when it came time to do stuff, it was just a, it was a free meeting room, and you could fit, you know, 20, 30 people. Free was about what our budget was, maybe. Well, you could fit 20 or 30 people there, and Shoney's was, you know,

[00:47:35] decent meal on a budget. But yeah, so Keith said, when they bulldozed, now this Shoney's had been closed for a while, for several years. It was just, you know, standing there dilapidated and falling into further disrepair. And Keith said they had finally raised that building at the corner of Sycamore View and... Pleasant Hill. No, no, well, in Highway 70. It's, you know, that's a summer in Sycamore. Yeah, that's right, Highway 70, Summer Avenue. Yeah, and in Memphis. And Keith said he got out

[00:48:05] of the parking lot and was walking through the rubble and found a couple of Paul Fromm pants. I was exaggerating. No, no, that's funny though. But they did raise the building and just did it actually this week. And so it brought back some memories. And I think... We need to have a historical plaque up there honoring Paul Fromm. We need to put a... That's the most important thing that ever happened. Maybe they'll put a statue on the land there of Paul Fromm. Well, that was back... I'll tell you how far back

[00:48:34] that story goes, Keith. Of course, Paul has been another one of these lifers. He was with us even before this radio show started. He was country before country was cool. We've known Paul Fromm for the entirety of our run and then some and he's been such a regular guest and still to this day is over the entire... By the way, it'll be 22 years in a couple of weeks we'll be celebrating our thing in a second. I don't think it's years past that we haven't had Paul on the show. Oh, no, at least once.

[00:49:05] Usually more than that. But the thing is about Paul, he's been banned from coming to the United States for at least 10 years. So, I mean, you go way back. I think when he was coming in here, there was a guy who was funding a tour across America where Paul Fromm would go and talk and he always did a great job. But Paul Fromm was on a nationwide speaking tour that was funded by a donor or a supporter,

[00:49:34] I believe out of Texas, and Memphis was one of the stops. But, yeah, I remember those showing these meetings and he was one of the people that came one time. I mean, we had some other people that came too. We had some fun with that. It's fun, you know, and Rick Tyler is one of these guys that's going to be coming on in the next hour to give a little, as we continue to do midterm previews. We're not just doing it all in a single show. We're doing a little bit each week in October as this thing further evolves.

[00:50:04] But Rick Tyler is another guy who at once is one of our movement's most gifted communicators, but he's also, and I'll be sure to tell him this when he comes on in the next segment, he's also just an old school organizer and event planner, and I really respect that because you have to be one. He's a boots-on-the-ground guy. He reminds me of Bill Rowland, our late great compadre Bill Rowland, who not only had a great intellect,

[00:50:33] he also was involved in, for example, down in Ole Miss, demonstrations, trying to preserve the Southern heritage, the Confederate flag, the playing of Dixie, and stuff like that. He would get involved in everything, and he was good at everything. Yes, he was. We've known a lot of great people. Rick is cut from the same cloth. I went out right around the area yesterday where Bill is buried

[00:51:03] and was thinking about him just yesterday, so I had to drive out that. He died back in 2013. That's crazy. I was thinking about that, too, how long ago that was. In my opinion, he was a victim of chemotherapy. They gave him so much chemo that basically when they took him off it, I don't think he lasted two weeks. Well, it was a little bit longer than that, but it wasn't very long, and I remember plain as day. Plain as day. Bill and I had such a close relationship, and he was such

[00:51:32] an integral part of the show's beginning, and we're talking about this because he goes back to those days with Paul Fry. He was the editor of the Citizens of the Military. Well, I was going to say, he goes back to the Council of Conservative Citizens, and of course, we worked so closely with the council, and Bill was a part of that, and through that, he became a co-host on this program during those first nine years, and I remember a new Bill had a doctor's appointment, just a regular checkup, regular scheduled colonoscopy,

[00:52:01] and I was joking about, he called me, and I just went into a joke about, hey, how are you feeling? And I could just tell in his voice that something was wrong, and he said, not good. And you know, the thing that troubles me about the whole thing is that he didn't have any symptoms. He just took it totally on their word that he had this tumor, and they said, Well, I'm sure he did, but... Well, I'm not so sure, but I am going to tell you this. They told him

[00:52:30] that he had a tumor, and they were going to take it out, but first they wanted to shrink it. And the question coming up to my mind, why would you want to shrink it? Just take it out and then give him some chemotherapy. I don't know what the whole... That's what they would do, but unfortunately, it's like that Saturday Night Live skit with Christopher Walken about Blue Oyster Cult, where they said, What does this record need? More cowbell. Well, what does this patient need? More chemo. And chemo is poison, folks, and you know,

[00:53:00] you need to keep a healthy skepticism about things like that if you are ever confronted with a cancer diagnosis and getting their treatment. I've got to be honest. Everybody's got to make that decision for themselves in their own personal circumstances and their own personal condition and diagnosis. I mean, it's sort of like what's coming up, Keith, in November. And prior to at least the first Trump run, there was no consensus whatsoever on what our people,

[00:53:30] even our audience, which is of like mind on every issue. But when it comes, it came time for elections, there was never a consensus and it was just, you know, the individual deciding what was best for them. I think, you know, medically, you got to say that too. And we're back to that situation now and that is voting for the Democrats so we can get it over with and just get into whatever's going to come next in the post-election landscape of America, voting for Trump or the Republicans because they are slightly better

[00:54:00] on issues and in some cases, much better, let's be honest. But there's so much bad there too or setting it out and there's just no consensus. As a matter of fact, I'll be interested to ask each of our guests coming up in the next segment, each of the four, how they're going to vote and why. Are they going to vote for Republicans? Are they going to set it out? Are they going to vote for the Democrats? And they could justify it in ways that I could agree with with each and every answer. And so I'm going to write

[00:54:29] that down in my notes. This is what we got coming up. Rick Tyler, veteran movement organizer and spokesman. Sam Bushman, the owner of our radio network. Steve Whitener of the Republic Broadcasting Network, a radio man in his own right. And Jason Kuna will be with us in the next hour to talk midterms and their plans for it. Stay tuned.
