[00:00:03] [SPEAKER_01]: In just a few minutes with Lee Strobel, of course the author of Case for Christ, a case
[00:00:25] [SPEAKER_01]: for Grace, the case for miracles, a case for heaven as well as his latest one is God Real,
[00:00:31] [SPEAKER_01]: so I think you will appreciate that conversation.
[00:00:33] [SPEAKER_01]: And I might mention also we have posted a very good piece by Cal Thomas which we might
[00:00:37] [SPEAKER_01]: talk about later in the week when we have Kelly Shackleford and Dr. Miro Mathews in
[00:00:42] [SPEAKER_01]: the studio because he makes the case that Kamala Harris owes us some answers and reminds
[00:00:47] [SPEAKER_01]: us that every other president and every other presidential candidate, whether you are talking
[00:00:52] [SPEAKER_01]: about John F. Kennedy held a press conference in the State Department auditorium, Lyndon
[00:00:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Johnson answering questions as they are walking around the driveway or even Barack
[00:01:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Obama having a news conference or Ronald Reagan or others, it has always been
[00:01:06] [SPEAKER_01]: typical for a president to explain his or her policies, the various candidates which
[00:01:14] [SPEAKER_01]: I certainly have tried to do that.
[00:01:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Hillary Clinton has done that as well and so I think it is important to recognize that
[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_01]: there are some very good questions in his piece that he asked about, well you say
[00:01:25] [SPEAKER_01]: you are going to bring the cost down but if you continue the policies we have right
[00:01:29] [SPEAKER_01]: now will that actually help?
[00:01:31] [SPEAKER_01]: What about this war in Ukraine?
[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_01]: What about capital gains?
[00:01:33] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean on and on and on, it is a very good piece and it is just one of those resources
[00:01:38] [SPEAKER_01]: I want you to know that is there.
[00:01:40] [SPEAKER_01]: We will probably talk about it some tomorrow with Tenadxtra and certainly on Friday with
[00:01:44] [SPEAKER_01]: our weekend edition but of course we are in the third day of Truth Team Week, Colin
[00:01:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Lambert with us and we have had a number of people that have decided to make that
[00:01:52] [SPEAKER_01]: phone call but we still have quite a need don't we?
[00:01:55] [SPEAKER_06]: We do have quite a need.
[00:01:56] [SPEAKER_06]: We started today's program about $10,000 behind where we wanted to be at this
[00:02:00] [SPEAKER_06]: point in the week.
[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_06]: We are now halfway through today's broadcast and again just tomorrow and Friday
[00:02:06] [SPEAKER_06]: remaining our goal for the entire week, $150,000.
[00:02:10] [SPEAKER_06]: Everybody doing something is going to get us there.
[00:02:13] [SPEAKER_06]: We are going to need gifts large and small and boy just during that break, Kirby we
[00:02:18] [SPEAKER_06]: had a flurry of activity from Georgia.
[00:02:21] [SPEAKER_06]: Shirley in Sheila rather in Georgia, $50 gift.
[00:02:25] [SPEAKER_06]: Bill in Georgia $30 a month.
[00:02:27] [SPEAKER_06]: James in Georgia $120 gift.
[00:02:29] [SPEAKER_06]: And Ronald in Georgia $50 thanks to each one of you and we've been hearing from
[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_06]: folks all over the country.
[00:02:36] [SPEAKER_06]: Alabama, South Carolina, Texas, Maine, North Carolina, Nevada all over.
[00:02:41] [SPEAKER_06]: If you're listening today you benefit from the work and the ministry and the
[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_06]: resources of Point of View.
[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_06]: We want you to be part of the Truth Team this week.
[00:02:51] [SPEAKER_06]: How do you do it?
[00:02:52] [SPEAKER_06]: It's very simple just call this number.
[00:02:54] [SPEAKER_06]: We have wonderful volunteers standing by in the next room.
[00:02:57] [SPEAKER_06]: They will take your calls 800-347-5151 or online.
[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_01]: I thought we would bring in once again the vice president of stewardship,
[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Janet Weidler who is of course joining us by phone from Colorado Springs.
[00:03:16] [SPEAKER_04]: Well hello Kirby and Colin good to be here.
[00:03:19] [SPEAKER_01]: You know one of the things I thought was so interesting is we had Gary Frazier
[00:03:22] [SPEAKER_01]: on and he made a statement you made yesterday and that is I've been to
[00:03:26] [SPEAKER_01]: their studios and I know what a lean organization it is.
[00:03:29] [SPEAKER_01]: I guess he could have also used the word frugal or inexpensive and you've
[00:03:33] [SPEAKER_01]: talked about that before as well, haven't you?
[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_04]: I have.
[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_04]: As a matter of fact you've seen some of the hotels that I've picked out to save
[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_04]: a few bucks but I just want to remind everyone out there that we are a
[00:03:45] [SPEAKER_04]: listener supported ministry and we have eight full-time employees,
[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_04]: two part-time employees and what you're getting from these employees is
[00:03:58] [SPEAKER_04]: the Outlook magazine, monthly booklets, mailings, phone calls,
[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_04]: all the production and engineering of the program, our websites, our social
[00:04:07] [SPEAKER_04]: media.
[00:04:08] [SPEAKER_04]: All of that is done with a very, very small staff and I want to tell
[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_04]: you too that just to make the case for our small one million dollar
[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_04]: budget, I went online to look at what Focus on the Family uses for their
[00:04:22] [SPEAKER_04]: budget and it's over 106 million.
[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_04]: So again, it's just so important that everybody listening to my voice
[00:04:30] [SPEAKER_04]: right now if you will stop what you're doing and give, go online or
[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_04]: call in if every single person listening right now will stop and
[00:04:40] [SPEAKER_04]: give we will be able to meet our goal and it doesn't matter if it's a
[00:04:44] [SPEAKER_04]: small gift or a large gift, we are blessed by everything.
[00:04:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Let's see if I can make Colin Laffer just a minute because part of
[00:04:51] [SPEAKER_01]: that is to pay for the heat bill and Janet, you don't know.
[00:04:55] [SPEAKER_01]: You are the last time you came down from Colorado we stuck her in a
[00:04:58] [SPEAKER_01]: office where the unfortunately we're in this building and we don't
[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_01]: control that and the air conditioning is coming in and outside it's
[00:05:05] [SPEAKER_01]: cold and it's so cold that you've lived in Chicago and it's pretty
[00:05:08] [SPEAKER_01]: cold today and if we'd had an in-studio guest they'd say please
[00:05:12] [SPEAKER_01]: support these people because we need to turn the heat on.
[00:05:15] [SPEAKER_01]: It's really cold, Janet.
[00:05:16] [SPEAKER_01]: It's a good thing you're in Colorado Springs right now.
[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it's a wonderful studios here but yeah, very small team that's
[00:05:23] [SPEAKER_06]: doing incredible, incredible amounts of work.
[00:05:26] [SPEAKER_06]: I have had the privilege of visiting many of the radio programs
[00:05:29] [SPEAKER_06]: you listen to all over the country these 26 minute daily programs
[00:05:34] [SPEAKER_06]: and they have multi-story buildings and dozens of studios
[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_06]: and you just can't believe the amount of support that they
[00:05:43] [SPEAKER_06]: receive and I think often because of what you hear on the air,
[00:05:48] [SPEAKER_06]: the quality of what Kirby brings, the quality and quantity of
[00:05:52] [SPEAKER_06]: the resources available that this is a massive team here.
[00:05:55] [SPEAKER_06]: It's a very, very small team.
[00:05:57] [SPEAKER_06]: They work very hard long hours and lots of effort to provide
[00:06:03] [SPEAKER_06]: you with truth, truth that you can count on, trustworthy
[00:06:07] [SPEAKER_06]: information and resources each and every day and again if
[00:06:11] [SPEAKER_06]: you benefit, Dr. Erwin Lutzer said it earlier, if you benefit
[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_06]: from this ministry, if it impacts you, if it makes a
[00:06:18] [SPEAKER_06]: difference in your life daily or maybe has made a difference in
[00:06:21] [SPEAKER_06]: your community or maybe even in the direction of your life or
[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_06]: your career, we need to hear from you.
[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_06]: You need to be a part of the truth team and it's so simple.
[00:06:30] [SPEAKER_06]: Just call 800-347-5151.
[00:06:34] [SPEAKER_06]: 800-347-5151 pointofview.net.
[00:06:38] [SPEAKER_06]: Click on the big banner and let's fill up these phone
[00:06:41] [SPEAKER_06]: lines. Let's keep these volunteers busy and let's hit our
[00:06:44] [SPEAKER_06]: goal this week. We can only do it with each and every one of you
[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_06]: clicking in or calling in and making a difference today.
[00:06:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Jan, let's come back to you. Any final words?
[00:06:53] [SPEAKER_01]: If nothing else, I know you want to encourage people to call.
[00:06:55] [SPEAKER_01]: I see one person on the phone and another person waiting for
[00:06:58] [SPEAKER_01]: the phone to ring.
[00:06:59] [SPEAKER_01]: So what would you say to encourage people to make that
[00:07:02] [SPEAKER_01]: call?
[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_04]: I would just ask people to read Proverbs 11-25.
[00:07:07] [SPEAKER_04]: A generous person will prosper.
[00:07:10] [SPEAKER_04]: Whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.
[00:07:13] [SPEAKER_04]: Just a reminder that as you continue to bless us,
[00:07:17] [SPEAKER_04]: we know that the Lord is going to bless you back.
[00:07:20] [SPEAKER_04]: We are stepping out in faith knowing that all of this is in
[00:07:24] [SPEAKER_04]: his will and he will provide but he just might be providing a
[00:07:28] [SPEAKER_04]: little nudge to you right now.
[00:07:29] [SPEAKER_04]: So if you'll listen and be prayerful about giving,
[00:07:32] [SPEAKER_04]: we would really appreciate it.
[00:07:34] [SPEAKER_04]: So please call us right now at 1-800-347-5151.
[00:07:41] [SPEAKER_06]: And you know, don't put it off.
[00:07:43] [SPEAKER_06]: I want to just encourage you about this.
[00:07:45] [SPEAKER_06]: If your heart feels pricked, if you know you need to give,
[00:07:49] [SPEAKER_06]: don't put it off.
[00:07:50] [SPEAKER_06]: The evil one would love to just distract you and keep you
[00:07:53] [SPEAKER_06]: from giving this week.
[00:07:54] [SPEAKER_06]: Get you off on some other topic or some other thing
[00:07:57] [SPEAKER_06]: going on.
[00:07:57] [SPEAKER_06]: Don't let that happen.
[00:07:59] [SPEAKER_06]: Don't let the evil one win.
[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_06]: You be active.
[00:08:02] [SPEAKER_06]: You respond as the Lord touches your heart and you respond
[00:08:07] [SPEAKER_06]: immediately.
[00:08:08] [SPEAKER_06]: 800-347-5151.
[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_06]: Be a part of the truth team this week.
[00:08:13] [SPEAKER_06]: Make a difference in someone's life, in your own life
[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_06]: but others as well.
[00:08:16] [SPEAKER_06]: 800-347-5151.
[00:08:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Let's take a break and when we come back,
[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_01]: we're going to be talking with our good friend,
[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Lee Strobel.
[00:08:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Of course, you're familiar with the book,
[00:08:25] [SPEAKER_01]: The Case for Christ.
[00:08:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe the movie, The Case for Christ,
[00:08:28] [SPEAKER_01]: will be talking about some of his books.
[00:08:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Talk about the need for the programs like Point of View
[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_01]: so that we can train you not only in worldview
[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_01]: but apologetic.
[00:08:38] [SPEAKER_01]: So let's take a break and you know you want to call now
[00:08:40] [SPEAKER_01]: because you don't want to miss what he'll have to share
[00:08:42] [SPEAKER_01]: in just a minute.
[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_01]: 800-347-5151.
[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_01]: We'll be back right after this.
[00:08:58] [SPEAKER_07]: This is Viewpoints with Kirby Anderson.
[00:09:04] [SPEAKER_01]: In his latest book, The Eclipse of God,
[00:09:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Irwin Lutzer exposes our nation's disastrous efforts
[00:09:09] [SPEAKER_01]: to redefine God in its own image.
[00:09:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Because of this, confusion about God
[00:09:14] [SPEAKER_01]: is crept into the church.
[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_01]: He was on my radio program recently
[00:09:18] [SPEAKER_01]: to warn us of the danger.
[00:09:19] [SPEAKER_01]: He began by explaining the title,
[00:09:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Just as the Moon Obscures the Sun's Light During an Eclipse,
[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Today's Radical Secularism Has Obscured the Light of God.
[00:09:29] [SPEAKER_01]: He wrote this book with three objectives.
[00:09:31] [SPEAKER_01]: First, to better understand the intellectual roots
[00:09:33] [SPEAKER_01]: of this present darkness.
[00:09:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Second, to rejoice that God is sovereign
[00:09:37] [SPEAKER_01]: and stands ready to give us the blessing of His presence,
[00:09:40] [SPEAKER_01]: no matter our predicament.
[00:09:41] [SPEAKER_01]: And third, to remind us that only a repentant
[00:09:44] [SPEAKER_01]: and submissive church can shine the light of the gospel
[00:09:47] [SPEAKER_01]: with competence and strength.
[00:09:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Friedig Nietzsche proclaimed God is dead,
[00:09:51] [SPEAKER_01]: but who killed God?
[00:09:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Irwin Lutzer identifies three gravediggers
[00:09:54] [SPEAKER_01]: who prepared a coffin for God,
[00:09:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Karl Marx, Charles Darwin and Sigmund Freud.
[00:09:59] [SPEAKER_01]: And once God was gone, we became our own God
[00:10:02] [SPEAKER_01]: which is discussed in the chapter,
[00:10:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Nero My God to Me,
[00:10:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Worshiping at the Shrine of Self-Made Deities.
[00:10:09] [SPEAKER_01]: The second part of his book establishes what we need to do
[00:10:12] [SPEAKER_01]: in returning to the God of our fathers.
[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_01]: This includes returning to the God of truth,
[00:10:16] [SPEAKER_01]: not truthiness.
[00:10:17] [SPEAKER_01]: We must also be returning to the God of moral absolutes,
[00:10:21] [SPEAKER_01]: not our personal preferences.
[00:10:22] [SPEAKER_01]: It involves returning to God as law giver,
[00:10:25] [SPEAKER_01]: not a vacillating ruler.
[00:10:27] [SPEAKER_01]: His book is a timely and practical manual
[00:10:29] [SPEAKER_01]: intended to deepen our love for God of the Bible.
[00:10:32] [SPEAKER_01]: It will empower you to live and speak
[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_01]: as a light for Him in a culture of darkness.
[00:10:37] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm Kirby Anderson, and that's my Point of View.
[00:10:46] [SPEAKER_07]: For a free booklet on a biblical view on big data,
[00:10:50] [SPEAKER_07]: go to viewpoints.info slash data.
[00:10:53] [SPEAKER_07]: That's viewpoints.info slash data.
[00:11:00] [SPEAKER_07]: Point of View, Finding Clarity in the Chaos.
[00:11:04] [SPEAKER_05]: Point of View is it's important, it's entertaining,
[00:11:08] [SPEAKER_05]: it's vibrant.
[00:11:09] [SPEAKER_05]: I hope that folks who listen already know that,
[00:11:12] [SPEAKER_05]: and I'm just here to remind them
[00:11:13] [SPEAKER_05]: that they should think about supporting it,
[00:11:15] [SPEAKER_05]: even in a modest way, maybe especially in a modest way,
[00:11:19] [SPEAKER_05]: whatever you feel is appropriate.
[00:11:21] [SPEAKER_05]: But I think this is an important ministry,
[00:11:23] [SPEAKER_05]: and I would just encourage you to step up to the plate.
[00:11:28] [SPEAKER_05]: They need your help,
[00:11:29] [SPEAKER_05]: and please be encouraged that God loves a cheerful giver.
[00:11:33] [SPEAKER_05]: Amen.
[00:11:33] [SPEAKER_07]: Finding clarity in the chaos, Point of View.
[00:11:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Nice comments from our good friend Eric Metaxas,
[00:11:41] [SPEAKER_01]: and of course I've watched him develop over the years
[00:11:43] [SPEAKER_01]: from actually we'll go all the way back
[00:11:45] [SPEAKER_01]: to four studios ago when we first met him face-to-face
[00:11:48] [SPEAKER_01]: long before some of his bestseller books came out,
[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_01]: and that I think is gonna be a great opportunity
[00:11:53] [SPEAKER_01]: for you to once again understand
[00:11:55] [SPEAKER_01]: how you can be a part of that.
[00:11:57] [SPEAKER_01]: 800-347-5151.
[00:12:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Colin Lambert, how are we doing here
[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_01]: in terms of some of the gifts that are coming in?
[00:12:04] [SPEAKER_06]: Doing great, just got a call from Terry in Illinois
[00:12:07] [SPEAKER_06]: with a gift of $1,000.
[00:12:09] [SPEAKER_06]: We wanna say thank you for that.
[00:12:10] [SPEAKER_06]: A few more of those, Cheryl with a gift of 400,
[00:12:13] [SPEAKER_06]: Tom in Nebraska, a $50 gift.
[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_06]: Earl in Texas, $30 a month,
[00:12:18] [SPEAKER_06]: and Barbara in Nevada, a $25 gift.
[00:12:21] [SPEAKER_06]: We are so grateful for each and every call,
[00:12:23] [SPEAKER_06]: and as you hear there,
[00:12:24] [SPEAKER_06]: a gift from $25 up to a gift to $1,000.
[00:12:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Everybody doing something.
[00:12:29] [SPEAKER_06]: Everybody doing something
[00:12:31] [SPEAKER_06]: is how we're gonna reach our goal this week.
[00:12:33] [SPEAKER_06]: If you're benefiting from the ministry of Point of View,
[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_06]: join the Truth Team this week, 800-347-5151.
[00:12:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Gonna be talking with our good friend Lee Strobel.
[00:12:43] [SPEAKER_01]: How many times have we mentioned his name this week?
[00:12:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Because of course he was preaching at the church
[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_01]: that I attend, Preston went Baptist Church.
[00:12:50] [SPEAKER_01]: He was at the Christian World View
[00:12:53] [SPEAKER_01]: and Apologetics Conference
[00:12:54] [SPEAKER_01]: that we talked about with Jonathan Teague.
[00:12:56] [SPEAKER_01]: He's going to be with June Hunt.
[00:12:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Matter of fact, we're gonna hear a little bit later
[00:13:00] [SPEAKER_01]: in endorsement from June Hunt.
[00:13:02] [SPEAKER_01]: But of course, an individual that we all well know,
[00:13:04] [SPEAKER_01]: the atheist turned Christian,
[00:13:06] [SPEAKER_01]: New York Times bestseller,
[00:13:08] [SPEAKER_01]: individual that is written of course,
[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_01]: books like The Case for Christ, The Case for Faith,
[00:13:12] [SPEAKER_01]: The Case for a Creator, The Case for Grace,
[00:13:15] [SPEAKER_01]: of course an award-winning motion picture,
[00:13:17] [SPEAKER_01]: The Case for Christ as well
[00:13:18] [SPEAKER_01]: and some of the most recent ones, Case for Heaven
[00:13:20] [SPEAKER_01]: and the one that we'll probably spend some time
[00:13:23] [SPEAKER_01]: talking about, Is God Real?
[00:13:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Exploring the Ultimate Question of Life.
[00:13:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Lee Strobel, thank you once again for joining us here
[00:13:29] [SPEAKER_01]: on Point of View.
[00:13:31] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, I'm glad to do it.
[00:13:32] [SPEAKER_08]: It was great to see you Kirby the other day
[00:13:34] [SPEAKER_08]: over at the Biblical World View Conference.
[00:13:36] [SPEAKER_08]: I think it was or may have been over the weekend
[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_08]: at Preston Wood Church.
[00:13:40] [SPEAKER_08]: Always great to look up and see my old friend there.
[00:13:43] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, let me just- God bless you man.
[00:13:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and again, you were there
[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_01]: talking about The Hope of Heaven, which is so good.
[00:13:49] [SPEAKER_01]: But I thought we'd talk about Is God Real?
[00:13:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Because I also tried to hand you one of these booklets
[00:13:55] [SPEAKER_01]: that I put together.
[00:13:56] [SPEAKER_01]: In which we oftentimes say if you can't,
[00:13:59] [SPEAKER_01]: and I really encourage people to get copies of Is God Real,
[00:14:03] [SPEAKER_01]: at least these little booklets are kind of like
[00:14:04] [SPEAKER_01]: the old Cliff Notes.
[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_01]: And you start out by saying more than 200 times a second
[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_01]: around the clock someone is asking
[00:14:13] [SPEAKER_01]: on an online search engine about God,
[00:14:15] [SPEAKER_01]: often with a simple inquiry, Is God Real?
[00:14:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Or does God exist?
[00:14:19] [SPEAKER_01]: And that's really why you wrote the book, isn't it?
[00:14:22] [SPEAKER_08]: It really is.
[00:14:23] [SPEAKER_08]: This is really the ultimate issue of life.
[00:14:27] [SPEAKER_08]: Everything hinges on this.
[00:14:28] [SPEAKER_08]: In fact, there was a famous atheist who was doing debate
[00:14:31] [SPEAKER_08]: a few years ago.
[00:14:33] [SPEAKER_08]: And in that debate he said,
[00:14:34] [SPEAKER_08]: you know I'm an atheist, let me just be honest.
[00:14:36] [SPEAKER_08]: If there is no creator, then there is no evidence for God.
[00:14:39] [SPEAKER_08]: There's no life after death.
[00:14:41] [SPEAKER_08]: There's no absolute foundation for right and wrong.
[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_08]: There's no absolute meaning for life
[00:14:45] [SPEAKER_08]: and people don't really have free will.
[00:14:47] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, that's kind of important stuff.
[00:14:52] [SPEAKER_08]: So a lot hangs on this question of whether God is real.
[00:14:55] [SPEAKER_08]: And I think the interest that we're seeing,
[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_08]: and especially among young people,
[00:15:00] [SPEAKER_08]: which is fascinating to me because
[00:15:02] [SPEAKER_08]: we got these troubling statistics about Generation Z
[00:15:05] [SPEAKER_08]: and there's twice as many atheists
[00:15:07] [SPEAKER_08]: among Generation Z as in Baby Boomers and so forth.
[00:15:10] [SPEAKER_08]: But I talk to my buddies in ministry
[00:15:13] [SPEAKER_08]: who ministered to high school and college students.
[00:15:16] [SPEAKER_08]: And like Shane Pruitt, who's a Baptist.
[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_08]: He travels the country, he meets the groups of college students.
[00:15:21] [SPEAKER_08]: He comes on the program many times, yeah.
[00:15:23] [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, he is a great guy.
[00:15:24] [SPEAKER_08]: He said, you know, Lee, and I've had seen more young people
[00:15:28] [SPEAKER_08]: come to faith in Jesus Christ in the last three years
[00:15:31] [SPEAKER_08]: than in the previous 18 years of ministry combined.
[00:15:35] [SPEAKER_08]: So God's doing something.
[00:15:36] [SPEAKER_08]: People are finding them.
[00:15:37] [SPEAKER_01]: And Shane Pruitt has been part of our
[00:15:40] [SPEAKER_01]: millennial round table that we do.
[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_01]: And Colin, that's one of the things
[00:15:43] [SPEAKER_01]: we certainly emphasize as well.
[00:15:45] [SPEAKER_01]: And you got a copy of this little booklet there
[00:15:47] [SPEAKER_01]: on Oculaments for God because again,
[00:15:50] [SPEAKER_01]: I just think it's really important for people
[00:15:52] [SPEAKER_01]: to know these resources that are available.
[00:15:56] [SPEAKER_01]: And my wife, I just got at least bragging her
[00:15:59] [SPEAKER_01]: for a minute when she looked at your book, Is God Real?
[00:16:02] [SPEAKER_01]: She then looked at all the people you referenced
[00:16:04] [SPEAKER_01]: and referred to as she said,
[00:16:06] [SPEAKER_01]: my, this is probably the best book by Lee Strobel.
[00:16:09] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's kind of a Kirby Anderson book
[00:16:10] [SPEAKER_01]: because he's interviewed a lot of those people as well.
[00:16:13] [SPEAKER_01]: And so we went out and I tell you,
[00:16:16] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not kidding you at all.
[00:16:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Boxes of those books which we bought
[00:16:21] [SPEAKER_01]: and then sent to not only our Christian friends
[00:16:24] [SPEAKER_01]: and family but especially made sure
[00:16:27] [SPEAKER_01]: that we gave them to our non-Christian friends
[00:16:30] [SPEAKER_01]: and a few unsafe family members
[00:16:33] [SPEAKER_01]: because we thought this might really be the book
[00:16:35] [SPEAKER_01]: that would make a difference in their lives
[00:16:37] [SPEAKER_01]: because as you do so often,
[00:16:39] [SPEAKER_01]: so I get to interview them on radio,
[00:16:42] [SPEAKER_01]: you interview those.
[00:16:43] [SPEAKER_01]: And I remember the first time I read The Case for Christ,
[00:16:45] [SPEAKER_01]: I said, what genius?
[00:16:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Just spending some time with some of these great people
[00:16:50] [SPEAKER_01]: telling the stories as a gifted journalist that you are
[00:16:53] [SPEAKER_01]: and whether it's a case for faith
[00:16:55] [SPEAKER_01]: or the case for Christ, the case for the creator
[00:16:58] [SPEAKER_01]: or even the case for heaven,
[00:17:00] [SPEAKER_01]: these are individuals that we learn from
[00:17:02] [SPEAKER_01]: but because you are such a great writer,
[00:17:04] [SPEAKER_01]: you've been able to pass on some of this material
[00:17:07] [SPEAKER_01]: that would have been locked away in scholarly journals
[00:17:09] [SPEAKER_01]: but now you bring it available to us
[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_01]: to begin to use and to lead people to the Lord.
[00:17:15] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, the nice thing about what you and I do
[00:17:18] [SPEAKER_08]: is we're sort of a conduit
[00:17:21] [SPEAKER_08]: between the scholarly world and the everyday world.
[00:17:24] [SPEAKER_08]: You know, we have some wonderful Christian scholars
[00:17:26] [SPEAKER_08]: out there who are brilliant
[00:17:27] [SPEAKER_08]: and make strong, compelling, clear, persuasive arguments
[00:17:31] [SPEAKER_08]: for the Christian faith
[00:17:33] [SPEAKER_08]: but some of them are so lofty
[00:17:35] [SPEAKER_08]: and they're so brilliant.
[00:17:36] [SPEAKER_08]: They just have trouble communicating
[00:17:38] [SPEAKER_08]: on an everyday level.
[00:17:39] [SPEAKER_08]: So I see my role in the Kingdom
[00:17:42] [SPEAKER_08]: as kind of being a conduit
[00:17:43] [SPEAKER_08]: and using my journalism and legal background
[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_08]: to help them put the cookies on the bottom shelf
[00:17:48] [SPEAKER_08]: so that everybody can access the cookies
[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_08]: and I figure if I can get them to explain it in a way
[00:17:53] [SPEAKER_08]: that I can understand it,
[00:17:54] [SPEAKER_08]: then everybody can understand it.
[00:17:55] [SPEAKER_08]: Again, I don't have to be
[00:17:57] [SPEAKER_08]: the world's leading expert on this stuff.
[00:17:59] [SPEAKER_08]: I just find the world's leading experts at inter-real.
[00:18:01] [SPEAKER_01]: I might just say that you are an expert
[00:18:03] [SPEAKER_01]: in a lot of these areas of apologetics.
[00:18:05] [SPEAKER_01]: And again, I was always amazed at how quick you grew
[00:18:08] [SPEAKER_01]: because we of course knew the story
[00:18:10] [SPEAKER_01]: of being the legal editor at the Chicago Trib
[00:18:13] [SPEAKER_01]: and of course you went to Yale Law School
[00:18:15] [SPEAKER_01]: and University of Missouri and things like that.
[00:18:17] [SPEAKER_01]: But it's one of these funny stories
[00:18:20] [SPEAKER_01]: that I don't think I interviewed you
[00:18:22] [SPEAKER_01]: on Inside the Mind of Un-Churched Harry
[00:18:24] [SPEAKER_01]: but I have this book here that Colin is saying.
[00:18:27] [SPEAKER_01]: The God's Outrageous Claims.
[00:18:30] [SPEAKER_01]: This book came out
[00:18:32] [SPEAKER_01]: and we did the first interview, I looked it up,
[00:18:34] [SPEAKER_01]: in 1997 so that was 27 years ago.
[00:18:40] [SPEAKER_01]: I asked some people on the other side of the glass
[00:18:42] [SPEAKER_01]: that aren't much older than that
[00:18:44] [SPEAKER_01]: but I've known you and had a chance to interview you
[00:18:47] [SPEAKER_01]: going all the way back to it.
[00:18:49] [SPEAKER_01]: That was before Case for Christ
[00:18:50] [SPEAKER_01]: because they came out the next year.
[00:18:52] [SPEAKER_01]: And just again, the legacy that you've left
[00:18:55] [SPEAKER_01]: is just really touching and encouraging I think
[00:18:58] [SPEAKER_01]: to all of us that have been on the receiving
[00:19:00] [SPEAKER_01]: end of all of that.
[00:19:01] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, thanks.
[00:19:02] [SPEAKER_08]: It's been such an adventure.
[00:19:04] [SPEAKER_08]: I mean that particular book, God's Outrageous Claims
[00:19:07] [SPEAKER_08]: was a series of sermons that I delivered at a church
[00:19:10] [SPEAKER_08]: on topics of things like how can we know
[00:19:12] [SPEAKER_08]: that Jesus is the only way to God
[00:19:14] [SPEAKER_08]: and how can we have a loving God
[00:19:16] [SPEAKER_08]: if there's so much pain and suffering in the world?
[00:19:18] [SPEAKER_08]: Some of the key issues that I just kind of addressed
[00:19:21] [SPEAKER_08]: as someone who had been a skeptic myself
[00:19:24] [SPEAKER_08]: and had processed those issues
[00:19:26] [SPEAKER_08]: as I ended up coming to faith
[00:19:27] [SPEAKER_08]: on November the 8th of 1981.
[00:19:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's, if we can remind everybody
[00:19:32] [SPEAKER_01]: that we're in the midst of Truth Team,
[00:19:34] [SPEAKER_01]: we're coming to a break and I want to come back to Colin
[00:19:36] [SPEAKER_01]: because as much as we certainly love Lee Strobel,
[00:19:39] [SPEAKER_01]: I think he would encourage everyone as well
[00:19:42] [SPEAKER_01]: to make that phone call
[00:19:43] [SPEAKER_01]: and just help us to continue this program.
[00:19:45] [SPEAKER_06]: A reminder of the number 800-347-5151,
[00:19:50] [SPEAKER_06]: 800-347-5151, some thank yous
[00:19:54] [SPEAKER_06]: as the phone calls have just been coming in one
[00:19:56] [SPEAKER_06]: after another.
[00:19:57] [SPEAKER_06]: Dionne in, I rather Diane in Ohio, $50 a month gift.
[00:20:01] [SPEAKER_06]: Thank you for that.
[00:20:02] [SPEAKER_06]: Bryce in South Carolina, $100 gift.
[00:20:05] [SPEAKER_06]: Charles in South Carolina, $150.
[00:20:08] [SPEAKER_06]: Barbara in Georgia, $50 gift.
[00:20:11] [SPEAKER_06]: Ann in Georgia, $10 gift.
[00:20:13] [SPEAKER_06]: And Charlotte called with a $50 gift as well.
[00:20:16] [SPEAKER_06]: So all over the country again,
[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_06]: people responding to guests like Lee Strobel
[00:20:20] [SPEAKER_06]: and Dr. Gary Frazier who we had on earlier
[00:20:23] [SPEAKER_06]: and the incredible amount of materials and resources
[00:20:26] [SPEAKER_06]: that Point of View makes available to you
[00:20:28] [SPEAKER_06]: each and every day.
[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_06]: We're listener supported, we can't do it without you.
[00:20:32] [SPEAKER_06]: We've got a big goal this week but our God is bigger
[00:20:36] [SPEAKER_06]: and he's gonna provide through your giving
[00:20:39] [SPEAKER_06]: if you feel led to call and give,
[00:20:41] [SPEAKER_06]: call and give right now.
[00:20:42] [SPEAKER_06]: Don't put it off, don't get distracted, do it now.
[00:20:45] [SPEAKER_06]: 800-347-5151, 800-347-5151.
[00:20:52] [SPEAKER_01]: We're gonna take a break when we come back.
[00:20:53] [SPEAKER_01]: We'll talk with Lee Strobel a little bit longer.
[00:20:55] [SPEAKER_01]: I wanna get his thoughts about apologetics
[00:20:57] [SPEAKER_01]: because when I first got involved in that,
[00:20:59] [SPEAKER_01]: there was like Josh McDowell and Norm Geisler
[00:21:01] [SPEAKER_01]: and that was it and now just an incredible wealth
[00:21:04] [SPEAKER_01]: of resources and information
[00:21:06] [SPEAKER_01]: and again the author of everything
[00:21:08] [SPEAKER_01]: from the case for Christ to God's outrageous claims.
[00:21:11] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm holding it up for those of you watching online
[00:21:13] [SPEAKER_01]: and we certainly need your phone calls.
[00:21:14] [SPEAKER_01]: So if you can give us a call,
[00:21:15] [SPEAKER_01]: that number is 800-347-5151.
[00:21:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Let's make all the phones ring
[00:21:21] [SPEAKER_01]: and then we'll come back with Lee Strobel right after this.
[00:21:24] [SPEAKER_07]: Do you feel confident in articulating
[00:21:35] [SPEAKER_07]: and defending a biblical worldview on the issues of our day?
[00:21:40] [SPEAKER_07]: Since 1972, Point of View has equipped people to think,
[00:21:44] [SPEAKER_07]: speak and act biblically about what's happening
[00:21:48] [SPEAKER_07]: in the culture but as a listener supported program,
[00:21:52] [SPEAKER_07]: we can only do that by partnering with people like you.
[00:21:57] [SPEAKER_07]: You can help more Americans feel confident
[00:21:59] [SPEAKER_07]: in a biblical worldview by joining Point of View's truth team.
[00:22:04] [SPEAKER_07]: Join now, help us reach our $150,000 fundraising goal
[00:22:09] [SPEAKER_07]: by Friday.
[00:22:11] [SPEAKER_07]: Discussing the political and cultural issues of the day,
[00:22:15] [SPEAKER_07]: even the controversial ones doesn't have to be daunting.
[00:22:19] [SPEAKER_07]: Join the truth team today
[00:22:20] [SPEAKER_07]: and help more Americans feel confident
[00:22:24] [SPEAKER_07]: as they share truth amid the current chaos.
[00:22:28] [SPEAKER_07]: Join us today at PointOfView.net
[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_07]: or you can call us toll free at 1-800-347-5151.
[00:22:38] [SPEAKER_07]: That's PointOfView.net and 800-347-5151.
[00:22:48] [SPEAKER_07]: Point of View will continue after this.
[00:22:58] [SPEAKER_07]: You are listening to Point of View
[00:23:02] [SPEAKER_07]: The opinions expressed on Point of View
[00:23:05] [SPEAKER_07]: do not necessarily reflect the views
[00:23:07] [SPEAKER_07]: of the management or staff of this station.
[00:23:10] [SPEAKER_07]: And now here again is Kirby Anderson.
[00:23:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Back once again, we're gonna be talking
[00:23:15] [SPEAKER_01]: with Lee Strobel again in just a minute
[00:23:16] [SPEAKER_01]: and I wanna thank you for,
[00:23:18] [SPEAKER_01]: I've looks like a surge of phone calls.
[00:23:20] [SPEAKER_01]: So that was a good thing
[00:23:20] [SPEAKER_01]: and I was afraid that by certainly most people wanting
[00:23:23] [SPEAKER_01]: to hear what Lee Strobel had to say,
[00:23:25] [SPEAKER_01]: nobody would call
[00:23:26] [SPEAKER_01]: but we did get quite a number of phone calls
[00:23:28] [SPEAKER_01]: during the break there.
[00:23:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, why don't you continue that at 800-347-5151.
[00:23:33] [SPEAKER_06]: Anita in South Carolina with a $50 gift.
[00:23:36] [SPEAKER_06]: Thank you, Colton in Georgia with a gift of $50.
[00:23:39] [SPEAKER_06]: Kathleen in Georgia, $60 a month.
[00:23:42] [SPEAKER_06]: We thank you for that.
[00:23:43] [SPEAKER_06]: Larry in Maine with a $300 gift.
[00:23:45] [SPEAKER_06]: Monty in South Carolina $100.
[00:23:48] [SPEAKER_06]: David in Alabama $100 as well.
[00:23:51] [SPEAKER_06]: Listener supported, you're the listeners.
[00:23:53] [SPEAKER_06]: You're the ones who are responding
[00:23:54] [SPEAKER_06]: and you're the ones who can help us get to our goal
[00:23:57] [SPEAKER_06]: by Friday it's a big goal
[00:23:59] [SPEAKER_06]: but we know that with your help, pray.
[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_06]: Ask God what He'd have you do
[00:24:04] [SPEAKER_06]: and then call and give.
[00:24:05] [SPEAKER_06]: 800-347-5151.
[00:24:08] [SPEAKER_06]: 800-347-5151 or go online pointofview.net.
[00:24:13] [SPEAKER_01]: You know in our neighborhood, Colin,
[00:24:15] [SPEAKER_01]: we have this young lady that was thinking about
[00:24:17] [SPEAKER_01]: maybe going to Colorado Christian University
[00:24:20] [SPEAKER_01]: and I told her and her mother
[00:24:22] [SPEAKER_01]: that when they went up there
[00:24:23] [SPEAKER_01]: to actually check out the campus
[00:24:25] [SPEAKER_01]: to go to the Lee Strobel Center for Evangelism
[00:24:29] [SPEAKER_01]: and Applied Apologetics.
[00:24:31] [SPEAKER_01]: She was very excited about that.
[00:24:32] [SPEAKER_01]: And Lee Strobel, we have a Lee Strobel Center.
[00:24:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Did you ever anticipate that?
[00:24:38] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, you know my goal is say I'm in my 70s now
[00:24:42] [SPEAKER_08]: so I'm at the later era of my life
[00:24:44] [SPEAKER_08]: and really want to be able to leave a legacy
[00:24:46] [SPEAKER_08]: for young people especially.
[00:24:48] [SPEAKER_08]: And so if we can train more people in evangelism
[00:24:51] [SPEAKER_08]: than apologetics,
[00:24:52] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm currently developing a curriculum,
[00:24:55] [SPEAKER_08]: kindergarten through 12th grade on apologetics.
[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_08]: They can be used at home schoolers
[00:24:59] [SPEAKER_08]: and Christian schools and Sunday schools
[00:25:01] [SPEAKER_08]: but we really as you know have to continue
[00:25:04] [SPEAKER_08]: to equip the next generation
[00:25:05] [SPEAKER_08]: to explain not just what we believe
[00:25:08] [SPEAKER_08]: but why we believe it.
[00:25:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Let me again mention that we have all sorts
[00:25:11] [SPEAKER_01]: of great resources in that regard
[00:25:13] [SPEAKER_01]: that we have for example, LeeStrebel.com
[00:25:16] [SPEAKER_01]: and of course it's God real of the case for heaven
[00:25:19] [SPEAKER_01]: as well as do miracles exist.
[00:25:21] [SPEAKER_01]: All sorts of great material on his website,
[00:25:24] [SPEAKER_01]: different pictures and books and speaking
[00:25:26] [SPEAKER_01]: and all sorts of resources there as well.
[00:25:29] [SPEAKER_01]: But I thought just get your perspective
[00:25:30] [SPEAKER_01]: for just a minute because I remember
[00:25:31] [SPEAKER_01]: when I started a ministry in the 70s,
[00:25:35] [SPEAKER_01]: apologetics, well that might have been,
[00:25:36] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know Josh McDowell, maybe Norm Geisler,
[00:25:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Worldview might have been, I don't know,
[00:25:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Francis Schaefer.
[00:25:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Now any book that you pick up
[00:25:45] [SPEAKER_01]: where they're dealing with apologetics,
[00:25:47] [SPEAKER_01]: it is just a veritable who's who
[00:25:49] [SPEAKER_01]: and an incredible number
[00:25:52] [SPEAKER_01]: and this I think has become,
[00:25:53] [SPEAKER_01]: don't you think the golden age of apologetics?
[00:25:56] [SPEAKER_08]: I really do.
[00:25:57] [SPEAKER_08]: I think this is the golden era
[00:25:59] [SPEAKER_08]: and couple of things about that.
[00:26:01] [SPEAKER_08]: You know my friend Jay Warner Wallace
[00:26:03] [SPEAKER_08]: who you know, the former Cold Case Homicide Investigator
[00:26:06] [SPEAKER_08]: who became a Christian and an Apologist.
[00:26:08] [SPEAKER_08]: He said recently that evangelism in the 21st century
[00:26:12] [SPEAKER_08]: has spelled apologetics.
[00:26:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[00:26:14] [SPEAKER_08]: In other words in this skeptical culture
[00:26:17] [SPEAKER_08]: we have to be able to help people get beyond
[00:26:19] [SPEAKER_08]: the spiritual sticking points
[00:26:20] [SPEAKER_08]: that are holding them up in their journey toward God.
[00:26:23] [SPEAKER_08]: And I think that's true and the other thing
[00:26:24] [SPEAKER_08]: I want to celebrate is how many women
[00:26:26] [SPEAKER_08]: are now involved in apologetics.
[00:26:29] [SPEAKER_08]: This used to be very male dominant.
[00:26:31] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, there's, oh Nancy she's awesome.
[00:26:33] [SPEAKER_08]: There's so many great women apologists these days.
[00:26:36] [SPEAKER_08]: I remember back in the early days
[00:26:37] [SPEAKER_08]: I used to, if I gave a talk
[00:26:38] [SPEAKER_08]: and a young woman would come up afterwards
[00:26:40] [SPEAKER_08]: and say wow that was really interesting.
[00:26:42] [SPEAKER_08]: I'd say well why don't you pursue this?
[00:26:43] [SPEAKER_08]: Why don't you go, you know,
[00:26:44] [SPEAKER_08]: why don't you study it,
[00:26:45] [SPEAKER_08]: why don't you become an Apologist?
[00:26:47] [SPEAKER_08]: And now there's a women in apologetics organization.
[00:26:51] [SPEAKER_08]: We have great women authors and scholars
[00:26:53] [SPEAKER_08]: and I'm just thrilled with that
[00:26:56] [SPEAKER_08]: because they bring a different voice.
[00:26:58] [SPEAKER_08]: But the other thing I wanted to say Kirby
[00:26:59] [SPEAKER_08]: which is how much I appreciate what you do
[00:27:02] [SPEAKER_08]: and so immediately after we finished talking
[00:27:06] [SPEAKER_08]: in a few minutes I've written it down 1-800-347-5151
[00:27:10] [SPEAKER_08]: that's your number.
[00:27:11] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm gonna call and Leslie and I are gonna pledge
[00:27:13] [SPEAKER_08]: a thousand dollars because we wanna be part of your team.
[00:27:16] [SPEAKER_08]: We wanna be part of your support
[00:27:18] [SPEAKER_08]: and I encourage you in that way
[00:27:20] [SPEAKER_08]: because you are doing an awesome, awesome job.
[00:27:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Well thank you so much
[00:27:24] [SPEAKER_01]: and I thought it would be good to really talk about
[00:27:27] [SPEAKER_01]: why it is important to keep this going
[00:27:29] [SPEAKER_01]: because we actually have so much more working for us.
[00:27:34] [SPEAKER_01]: I was just thinking that in this booklet I held up
[00:27:36] [SPEAKER_01]: and I tried to get you a copy.
[00:27:39] [SPEAKER_01]: We talk about your book, of course is God Real
[00:27:41] [SPEAKER_01]: and Stephen Myers, The Return of the God Hypothesis
[00:27:44] [SPEAKER_01]: but nobody is at the golden age of apologetics.
[00:27:47] [SPEAKER_01]: It just seems like whether you're talking about science,
[00:27:50] [SPEAKER_01]: history, documents, manuscripts, archeology,
[00:27:55] [SPEAKER_01]: it's all sort of coming our way
[00:27:56] [SPEAKER_01]: and I think a typical Lee Strobel type of individual
[00:28:01] [SPEAKER_01]: in the 21st century saying
[00:28:03] [SPEAKER_01]: well I don't think any of this is real.
[00:28:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Only need to spend a few minutes out online
[00:28:08] [SPEAKER_01]: on some of these various articles or websites
[00:28:11] [SPEAKER_01]: or pick up one or two books
[00:28:13] [SPEAKER_01]: and really we'll be overwhelmed
[00:28:15] [SPEAKER_01]: by the incredible amount of evidence
[00:28:17] [SPEAKER_01]: that's come in in the last few decades.
[00:28:19] [SPEAKER_08]: Now that's exactly true.
[00:28:20] [SPEAKER_08]: I mean we have a series of scientific discoveries
[00:28:22] [SPEAKER_08]: over the last 50 or 80 years
[00:28:24] [SPEAKER_08]: of cosmology which is the origin of the universe,
[00:28:27] [SPEAKER_08]: physics, the fine-tuning of the universe,
[00:28:29] [SPEAKER_08]: biochemistry, the information inside DNA
[00:28:32] [SPEAKER_08]: and every cell in our body.
[00:28:35] [SPEAKER_08]: I mean if I were still in,
[00:28:36] [SPEAKER_08]: I was just thinking about this yesterday actually.
[00:28:38] [SPEAKER_08]: If I were still an atheist today,
[00:28:41] [SPEAKER_08]: I would be convinced by one argument of science
[00:28:44] [SPEAKER_08]: which is cosmology, the origin of the universe
[00:28:46] [SPEAKER_08]: that whatever begins to exist as a cause,
[00:28:49] [SPEAKER_08]: we now know the universe began to exist.
[00:28:51] [SPEAKER_08]: Therefore there must be a cause behind it
[00:28:54] [SPEAKER_08]: and then you extrapolate from that
[00:28:55] [SPEAKER_08]: what would that cause have to be?
[00:28:57] [SPEAKER_08]: What would have to be transcendent
[00:28:58] [SPEAKER_08]: or separate from creation?
[00:28:59] [SPEAKER_08]: Have to be spirit because it existed
[00:29:01] [SPEAKER_08]: before this physical world
[00:29:03] [SPEAKER_08]: must be eternal or timeless
[00:29:04] [SPEAKER_08]: because it existed before physical time came into being,
[00:29:07] [SPEAKER_08]: must be powerful given the immensity of the creation event,
[00:29:10] [SPEAKER_08]: must be smart given the precision of the creation event,
[00:29:13] [SPEAKER_08]: must be personal because you had to make the decision
[00:29:15] [SPEAKER_08]: to create, must be creative
[00:29:16] [SPEAKER_08]: because my goodness just look at the universe,
[00:29:18] [SPEAKER_08]: must be loving because he crafted
[00:29:20] [SPEAKER_08]: such a perfect habitat for us to flourish in
[00:29:22] [SPEAKER_08]: and then the scientific principle of Occam's Racer
[00:29:25] [SPEAKER_08]: would tell us it'd be just one creator.
[00:29:27] [SPEAKER_08]: Well now you've got a description
[00:29:29] [SPEAKER_08]: of the God of Christianity
[00:29:31] [SPEAKER_08]: that rules out polytheistic religions,
[00:29:33] [SPEAKER_08]: it rules out pantheistic religions,
[00:29:36] [SPEAKER_08]: it rules out cyclical philosophy from the East
[00:29:39] [SPEAKER_08]: and so just that one area of science goes so far
[00:29:43] [SPEAKER_08]: and then you couple that with the historical evidence
[00:29:46] [SPEAKER_08]: for the resurrection of Jesus
[00:29:48] [SPEAKER_08]: and you've got a I think a powerful and persuasive case
[00:29:52] [SPEAKER_08]: just from those two areas
[00:29:54] [SPEAKER_08]: for the truth of the Christian message.
[00:29:56] [SPEAKER_01]: And again we call that general revelation
[00:29:58] [SPEAKER_01]: and in Romans one it talks about the fact
[00:30:01] [SPEAKER_01]: that the evidence is so clear that they,
[00:30:04] [SPEAKER_01]: meaning the atheists are without excuse
[00:30:06] [SPEAKER_01]: and so this is just an incredible time
[00:30:09] [SPEAKER_01]: in which some of that evidence is coming in.
[00:30:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Let me also real quickly mention
[00:30:13] [SPEAKER_01]: of course we've been focusing most of our time
[00:30:15] [SPEAKER_01]: and attention on is God real
[00:30:17] [SPEAKER_01]: but I thought I'd also just mention
[00:30:19] [SPEAKER_01]: how powerful your book The Case for Heaven is.
[00:30:23] [SPEAKER_01]: I remember I published a book with Zondavon in 1980
[00:30:25] [SPEAKER_01]: on Life, Death and Beyond
[00:30:27] [SPEAKER_01]: and we talked about some of these out of body experiences
[00:30:29] [SPEAKER_01]: but now you've done so much more research
[00:30:31] [SPEAKER_01]: on near death encounters
[00:30:33] [SPEAKER_01]: and this really affected you
[00:30:35] [SPEAKER_01]: because you almost died yourself didn't you?
[00:30:38] [SPEAKER_08]: I did in 2011 my wife found me unconscious
[00:30:41] [SPEAKER_08]: on the bedroom floor called an ambulance.
[00:30:44] [SPEAKER_08]: I remember waking up in the emergency room
[00:30:45] [SPEAKER_08]: and I looked up in the face of the doctor there
[00:30:47] [SPEAKER_08]: and he looked down at me and he said
[00:30:48] [SPEAKER_08]: you're one step away from a coma,
[00:30:50] [SPEAKER_08]: two steps away from dying
[00:30:52] [SPEAKER_08]: and then I went unconscious again.
[00:30:54] [SPEAKER_08]: So I lingered between life and death for several days
[00:30:57] [SPEAKER_08]: before doctors were able to save my life
[00:31:00] [SPEAKER_08]: and I found it's a very clarifying experience
[00:31:04] [SPEAKER_08]: because at that moment nothing, nothing,
[00:31:08] [SPEAKER_08]: nothing is more important than what happens
[00:31:10] [SPEAKER_08]: when you close your eyes for the last time in this world
[00:31:13] [SPEAKER_08]: and if it's important then
[00:31:14] [SPEAKER_08]: it ought to be important now.
[00:31:15] [SPEAKER_08]: So it's an important issue to explore.
[00:31:19] [SPEAKER_08]: Do we go into nothingness?
[00:31:21] [SPEAKER_08]: We just cast into oblivion
[00:31:23] [SPEAKER_08]: or is the biblical teaching true
[00:31:25] [SPEAKER_08]: that we continue to survive after death,
[00:31:29] [SPEAKER_08]: our consciousness was on
[00:31:30] [SPEAKER_08]: and ultimately is reunited with our resurrected body
[00:31:34] [SPEAKER_08]: at the end of time
[00:31:34] [SPEAKER_08]: and we go through final judgment
[00:31:37] [SPEAKER_08]: and spend eternity in a very physical heaven
[00:31:39] [SPEAKER_08]: or a very physical hell.
[00:31:40] [SPEAKER_08]: So it really prompted me to use my curiosity about it
[00:31:47] [SPEAKER_08]: now heightened by my near-death experience
[00:31:49] [SPEAKER_08]: to really investigate.
[00:31:51] [SPEAKER_08]: So I went out and interviewed scholars, experts
[00:31:55] [SPEAKER_08]: on this, you know, and one of the most interesting interviews
[00:31:57] [SPEAKER_08]: was with Louise Palau, the famous evangelist
[00:32:01] [SPEAKER_08]: who was about to die.
[00:32:03] [SPEAKER_08]: I thought wouldn't it be interesting to interview
[00:32:04] [SPEAKER_08]: a great Christian who was about to pass into heaven
[00:32:07] [SPEAKER_08]: and he had stage four cancer,
[00:32:09] [SPEAKER_08]: he was on his deathbed,
[00:32:10] [SPEAKER_08]: I was the last person to interview him before he died
[00:32:12] [SPEAKER_08]: and he said something Kirby that I'll never forget.
[00:32:16] [SPEAKER_08]: He looked at me toward the end of the interview
[00:32:18] [SPEAKER_08]: and he said, Lee, when you get to the end of your life
[00:32:21] [SPEAKER_08]: and all is said and done,
[00:32:24] [SPEAKER_08]: you will never regret being courageous for Christ.
[00:32:28] [SPEAKER_05]: Well said, well said.
[00:32:29] [SPEAKER_08]: And I thought, wow, wow, that's powerful.
[00:32:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Well again, we're just about out of time
[00:32:33] [SPEAKER_01]: so let me just mention we have a link to leastrobel.com
[00:32:36] [SPEAKER_01]: of course you're familiar with the books,
[00:32:38] [SPEAKER_01]: I have a whole shelf of Leastrobel books
[00:32:39] [SPEAKER_01]: but it is great to have you as a friend,
[00:32:42] [SPEAKER_01]: it is great that you and your wife
[00:32:44] [SPEAKER_01]: want to actually support this ministry
[00:32:47] [SPEAKER_01]: so please say hi to Leslie
[00:32:49] [SPEAKER_01]: and thank you so very much
[00:32:51] [SPEAKER_01]: for being a good friend of this ministry.
[00:32:53] [SPEAKER_08]: My pleasure, God bless you Kirby,
[00:32:55] [SPEAKER_08]: as we Texans say, I appreciate ya.
[00:32:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Colin, we have an opportunity again
[00:33:00] [SPEAKER_01]: for people to actually do the same thing
[00:33:03] [SPEAKER_01]: that Leastrobel's gonna do.
[00:33:04] [SPEAKER_06]: Absolutely and now let's do it right now.
[00:33:06] [SPEAKER_06]: We've got to volunteer standing by to take your call.
[00:33:09] [SPEAKER_06]: 800-347-5151,
[00:33:12] [SPEAKER_06]: 800-347-5151.
[00:33:16] [SPEAKER_06]: You can click through at pointofview.net
[00:33:18] [SPEAKER_06]: or if you got the email in your inbox from Kirby today
[00:33:20] [SPEAKER_06]: just click on the link that's there.
[00:33:22] [SPEAKER_06]: It'll take you there as well.
[00:33:23] [SPEAKER_06]: Again, the phone number 800-347-5151.
[00:33:28] [SPEAKER_01]: One of the listeners and one of the volunteers
[00:33:31] [SPEAKER_01]: probably gonna get a call from Leastrobel
[00:33:33] [SPEAKER_01]: but do you wanna match that as well?
[00:33:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Let's encourage you right now to make that phone call.
[00:33:38] [SPEAKER_01]: 1-800-347-5151.
[00:33:41] [SPEAKER_01]: We'll come back and get some final comments
[00:33:43] [SPEAKER_01]: right after these important messages.
[00:33:49] [SPEAKER_07]: Point of View,
[00:33:59] [SPEAKER_07]: finding clarity in the chaos.
[00:34:01] [SPEAKER_00]: It would be tragic if Point of View did not exist
[00:34:06] [SPEAKER_00]: because not many programs are targeting areas
[00:34:11] [SPEAKER_00]: where we need to learn how to think,
[00:34:13] [SPEAKER_00]: where we need to learn how to respond,
[00:34:16] [SPEAKER_00]: where we need to learn what our options are
[00:34:19] [SPEAKER_00]: for active involvement,
[00:34:22] [SPEAKER_00]: even how we can share truth with other people.
[00:34:26] [SPEAKER_00]: And because Point of View is relevant,
[00:34:29] [SPEAKER_00]: dealing with relevant topics with real people
[00:34:34] [SPEAKER_00]: presenting real answers,
[00:34:36] [SPEAKER_00]: it's right where people are
[00:34:39] [SPEAKER_00]: and it's meeting a very real need.
[00:34:42] [SPEAKER_00]: This is a wonderful opportunity you have
[00:34:45] [SPEAKER_00]: to literally help the ministry
[00:34:48] [SPEAKER_00]: be the most effective that it can be
[00:34:50] [SPEAKER_00]: through your gifts, through your financial support.
[00:34:55] [SPEAKER_00]: I highly recommend it.
[00:34:57] [SPEAKER_07]: Finding clarity in the chaos.
[00:35:00] [SPEAKER_07]: Point of View.
[00:35:02] [SPEAKER_01]: An endorsement from June Hunt,
[00:35:03] [SPEAKER_01]: again a good friend of this ministry.
[00:35:05] [SPEAKER_01]: We've had her on many times simply so that
[00:35:07] [SPEAKER_01]: we could focus on some of these
[00:35:09] [SPEAKER_01]: emotional and spiritual needs as well
[00:35:12] [SPEAKER_01]: and they breadth hopefully as well as the depth
[00:35:16] [SPEAKER_01]: of what we actually cover and try to discuss each day.
[00:35:20] [SPEAKER_01]: I hope you appreciate and I certainly appreciate
[00:35:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Lee Strobel first of all,
[00:35:24] [SPEAKER_01]: an individual that is again very busy.
[00:35:27] [SPEAKER_01]: I was just following all the things I know
[00:35:29] [SPEAKER_01]: he's doing in the Dallas area
[00:35:30] [SPEAKER_01]: from one conference to another one
[00:35:31] [SPEAKER_01]: and everything else but took some time to talk with us
[00:35:34] [SPEAKER_01]: and then at the end said well he and his wife
[00:35:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Leslie would give a gift and so nothing else.
[00:35:39] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna treat that as a match.
[00:35:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe you can match that or come up
[00:35:43] [SPEAKER_01]: with something to begin to say
[00:35:45] [SPEAKER_01]: I really appreciate it hearing from Lee Strobel
[00:35:47] [SPEAKER_01]: and I would appreciate what Point of View is doing
[00:35:51] [SPEAKER_01]: and I wanna make that call 800-347-5151.
[00:35:55] [SPEAKER_06]: A wonderful folks calling in from all over.
[00:35:58] [SPEAKER_06]: Laura in South Carolina with a $50 gift.
[00:36:00] [SPEAKER_06]: Denise in Georgia, $250 gift.
[00:36:03] [SPEAKER_06]: Richard in South Carolina with a $1,000 gift.
[00:36:06] [SPEAKER_06]: Alice in North Carolina, $100 a month
[00:36:09] [SPEAKER_06]: which is a $1,200 gift broken out over 12 months.
[00:36:13] [SPEAKER_06]: And we also had Shirley in Texas with a $100 gift.
[00:36:17] [SPEAKER_06]: Again, our goal for the week, $150,000.
[00:36:20] [SPEAKER_06]: We are almost to the end Kirby of day three
[00:36:23] [SPEAKER_06]: so we've got two days remaining.
[00:36:25] [SPEAKER_06]: One of the things that I know that means is
[00:36:27] [SPEAKER_06]: we're gonna need to see a few of those larger
[00:36:29] [SPEAKER_06]: leadership gifts if the Lord has blessed your business.
[00:36:32] [SPEAKER_06]: Maybe you got a big kickback and taxes this year.
[00:36:36] [SPEAKER_06]: Maybe you just wanna step aside
[00:36:38] [SPEAKER_06]: from what all the economists are saying
[00:36:40] [SPEAKER_06]: and what all the political pundits are saying
[00:36:42] [SPEAKER_06]: and just put your money into God's work.
[00:36:46] [SPEAKER_06]: That's something you can do here
[00:36:47] [SPEAKER_06]: but we really could use to get caught up today
[00:36:50] [SPEAKER_06]: a gift of $5,000 or a gift of $10,000.
[00:36:54] [SPEAKER_06]: We know that not everybody can do that
[00:36:55] [SPEAKER_06]: but you might be able to do that.
[00:36:57] [SPEAKER_06]: God might be putting that on your heart today.
[00:37:00] [SPEAKER_06]: If you're able to give one of those larger gifts
[00:37:02] [SPEAKER_06]: I know it will be an encouragement to Kirby
[00:37:04] [SPEAKER_06]: and this team.
[00:37:05] [SPEAKER_06]: It also will help get us caught up
[00:37:07] [SPEAKER_06]: to where we need to be to finish
[00:37:09] [SPEAKER_06]: in the right place by the end of the week.
[00:37:11] [SPEAKER_06]: 800-347-5151
[00:37:15] [SPEAKER_06]: 800-347-5151
[00:37:18] [SPEAKER_06]: or click in online at pointofview.net.
[00:37:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Let's hear what some of the listeners have said
[00:37:24] [SPEAKER_01]: they would to encourage you to give to Point of View.
[00:37:31] [SPEAKER_07]: Point of View, finding clarity in the chaos.
[00:37:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Point of View is actually a lifeline for me.
[00:37:37] [SPEAKER_02]: I homeschool my girls
[00:37:38] [SPEAKER_02]: and I don't think I could do what I do
[00:37:41] [SPEAKER_02]: without Point of View on a daily basis.
[00:37:44] [SPEAKER_03]: When my children were very small
[00:37:46] [SPEAKER_03]: I started listening
[00:37:47] [SPEAKER_03]: and even before they were school aged
[00:37:50] [SPEAKER_03]: my eyes started being opened
[00:37:52] [SPEAKER_03]: and I started realizing that there was another religion
[00:37:54] [SPEAKER_03]: being taught in our public schools
[00:37:56] [SPEAKER_03]: and I just wanted to let y'all know today
[00:37:59] [SPEAKER_03]: I am joining, I just feel like that
[00:38:02] [SPEAKER_03]: if the information is not there
[00:38:05] [SPEAKER_03]: then a lot of other ministries
[00:38:07] [SPEAKER_03]: will not even have a chance to be
[00:38:09] [SPEAKER_03]: where they are and do what they do.
[00:38:12] [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, I thank God for what you're doing on Point of View.
[00:38:15] [SPEAKER_09]: You guys have a more influence across this country
[00:38:18] [SPEAKER_09]: than I believe any of them in terms of tackling the issues
[00:38:21] [SPEAKER_09]: and getting the truth out to Americans
[00:38:23] [SPEAKER_09]: is getting the point where truth just is bottled up
[00:38:26] [SPEAKER_09]: on every hand.
[00:38:27] [SPEAKER_09]: Every time you turn around
[00:38:28] [SPEAKER_09]: there's another big bottleneck against truth.
[00:38:32] [SPEAKER_09]: I hope your listeners realize
[00:38:33] [SPEAKER_09]: what Point of View is doing
[00:38:35] [SPEAKER_09]: and supports Point of View in every possible way you can.
[00:38:39] [SPEAKER_07]: Finding clarity in the chaos.
[00:38:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Point of View.
[00:38:43] [SPEAKER_01]: You know trying to find clarity in the chaos
[00:38:46] [SPEAKER_01]: is really difficult because in my latest book
[00:38:49] [SPEAKER_01]: which we're making available to individuals
[00:38:51] [SPEAKER_01]: that want to give at $100 a month level
[00:38:53] [SPEAKER_01]: we talk about transhumanism and artificial intelligence,
[00:38:57] [SPEAKER_01]: genetic engineering,
[00:38:58] [SPEAKER_01]: talk about some of the political challenges
[00:39:00] [SPEAKER_01]: people hear about the great reset
[00:39:02] [SPEAKER_01]: or globalism or the deep state
[00:39:04] [SPEAKER_01]: and what is that all about
[00:39:05] [SPEAKER_01]: and then of course economic issues
[00:39:07] [SPEAKER_01]: which we've talked about before,
[00:39:09] [SPEAKER_01]: capitalism and socialism and wokeness
[00:39:11] [SPEAKER_01]: and even the challenges that we've been talking about today
[00:39:14] [SPEAKER_01]: in terms of Islam and Sharia law
[00:39:16] [SPEAKER_01]: as well as privacy challenges,
[00:39:18] [SPEAKER_01]: the digital surveillance that's taking place
[00:39:21] [SPEAKER_01]: and data and social media, new media and all the rest.
[00:39:26] [SPEAKER_01]: 18 of the booklets that we've made available
[00:39:28] [SPEAKER_01]: over the last couple of years
[00:39:30] [SPEAKER_01]: actually are chapters in this book
[00:39:32] [SPEAKER_01]: but putting it together so that you have it in one place
[00:39:35] [SPEAKER_01]: and again as you said Colin
[00:39:37] [SPEAKER_01]: we recognize that this is not something
[00:39:40] [SPEAKER_01]: that a pastor's going to address from the pulpit
[00:39:42] [SPEAKER_01]: might not even be something that would be addressed
[00:39:45] [SPEAKER_01]: in a Sunday school class
[00:39:46] [SPEAKER_01]: because there are so much other things
[00:39:48] [SPEAKER_01]: that need to be taught from God's word
[00:39:50] [SPEAKER_01]: and so where would you get that information?
[00:39:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Well if you go out on the internet
[00:39:55] [SPEAKER_01]: you never know what you're gonna get there
[00:39:57] [SPEAKER_01]: if you go to some of the various talk shows
[00:39:59] [SPEAKER_01]: they sometimes don't even talk about it
[00:40:01] [SPEAKER_01]: and even if you find some that do
[00:40:03] [SPEAKER_01]: they may not necessarily be trying
[00:40:05] [SPEAKER_01]: to give you a biblical perspective
[00:40:06] [SPEAKER_01]: so this is I think a book that just is one
[00:40:09] [SPEAKER_01]: that we're making available for some of our donors
[00:40:12] [SPEAKER_01]: but it's an illustration as are the booklets
[00:40:15] [SPEAKER_01]: and other resources of why it's worth supporting
[00:40:18] [SPEAKER_01]: point of view.
[00:40:19] [SPEAKER_01]: We're talking about things that you need to know about
[00:40:22] [SPEAKER_01]: your children and grandchildren need to know about
[00:40:24] [SPEAKER_01]: and we try to make that available to you
[00:40:27] [SPEAKER_01]: in a way that is understandable
[00:40:28] [SPEAKER_01]: and we've heard that today from a number of people
[00:40:31] [SPEAKER_01]: that have endorsed this ministry
[00:40:32] [SPEAKER_01]: or when Luther made that comment,
[00:40:35] [SPEAKER_01]: June Hunt made that comment
[00:40:36] [SPEAKER_01]: and if people are looking for a reason
[00:40:38] [SPEAKER_01]: why they wanna support point of view
[00:40:40] [SPEAKER_01]: I think they've given us a couple reasons.
[00:40:42] [SPEAKER_06]: Absolutely that's one of the great things
[00:40:44] [SPEAKER_06]: we just heard from one of the listeners
[00:40:45] [SPEAKER_06]: she described point of view as a lifeline for her
[00:40:49] [SPEAKER_06]: and whether you have kids or grandkids,
[00:40:53] [SPEAKER_06]: people in your community, people in your church
[00:40:56] [SPEAKER_06]: even just yourself as you hear these conversations
[00:41:00] [SPEAKER_06]: do they still have the water cooler?
[00:41:03] [SPEAKER_06]: No, they don't.
[00:41:04] [SPEAKER_06]: They might have the bottle refill device in the lobby.
[00:41:08] [SPEAKER_06]: A lot of people not even going into the office anymore
[00:41:11] [SPEAKER_06]: but you have those conversations.
[00:41:13] [SPEAKER_06]: Those kind of conversations come up around the dinner table.
[00:41:16] [SPEAKER_06]: You're out with friends and they're talking about AI.
[00:41:19] [SPEAKER_06]: You can get one of these booklets from Kirby
[00:41:22] [SPEAKER_06]: or one of the books
[00:41:22] [SPEAKER_06]: and you can find out what AI is all about
[00:41:26] [SPEAKER_06]: but more importantly,
[00:41:27] [SPEAKER_06]: how should we respond as believers
[00:41:29] [SPEAKER_06]: to what's happening with AI?
[00:41:32] [SPEAKER_06]: Interviewed a lady recently
[00:41:33] [SPEAKER_06]: who is working on AI for McDonald's
[00:41:36] [SPEAKER_06]: one of the hugest corporations in the world
[00:41:39] [SPEAKER_06]: and she's a believer
[00:41:40] [SPEAKER_06]: and she was talking about the fact that
[00:41:43] [SPEAKER_06]: you know AI can be used for a positive method
[00:41:46] [SPEAKER_06]: or it can be used negatively just like the internet
[00:41:49] [SPEAKER_06]: but Kirby brings that kind of information to you
[00:41:52] [SPEAKER_06]: every day it's trustworthy.
[00:41:54] [SPEAKER_06]: There's resources on the website.
[00:41:56] [SPEAKER_06]: You can go there and look.
[00:41:57] [SPEAKER_06]: You are one of the most important keys though
[00:42:00] [SPEAKER_06]: to this program as much as all of that is important.
[00:42:03] [SPEAKER_06]: We can't do it without you.
[00:42:05] [SPEAKER_06]: Listener supported radio 803-47-5151.
[00:42:10] [SPEAKER_06]: Would you on behalf of this staff
[00:42:13] [SPEAKER_06]: and on behalf of Kirby and all those listening today
[00:42:15] [SPEAKER_06]: would you pick up that phone right now
[00:42:17] [SPEAKER_06]: and call in these last few minutes
[00:42:19] [SPEAKER_06]: of this third day of Truth Team Week?
[00:42:22] [SPEAKER_06]: We need to hear from you.
[00:42:23] [SPEAKER_06]: 800-347-5151.
[00:42:26] [SPEAKER_01]: You might just mention that even though
[00:42:27] [SPEAKER_01]: we're going off the air you can still make that phone call
[00:42:29] [SPEAKER_01]: and I would really encourage you to do so.
[00:42:32] [SPEAKER_01]: We are very honest and we told you
[00:42:34] [SPEAKER_01]: we were about $10,000 behind
[00:42:37] [SPEAKER_01]: and we will let you know tomorrow where we are.
[00:42:40] [SPEAKER_01]: We'll be talking with Kim Till
[00:42:41] [SPEAKER_01]: of Dallas Theological Seminary,
[00:42:44] [SPEAKER_01]: of course, Penedexter.
[00:42:45] [SPEAKER_01]: I think you really enjoyed that conversation there
[00:42:47] [SPEAKER_01]: as well but let me just again encourage you
[00:42:50] [SPEAKER_01]: that if you can make that call
[00:42:52] [SPEAKER_01]: 1-800-347-5151.
[00:42:56] [SPEAKER_01]: If you have to make it later
[00:42:57] [SPEAKER_01]: and you can leave it on voicemail, that's fine
[00:43:00] [SPEAKER_01]: but also the best way at that point
[00:43:02] [SPEAKER_01]: is to go to the website pointofview.net.
[00:43:05] [SPEAKER_01]: I wanna thank Colin and Megan
[00:43:06] [SPEAKER_01]: and certainly Steve for their help behind the scenes
[00:43:09] [SPEAKER_01]: and we look forward to seeing you tomorrow
[00:43:11] [SPEAKER_01]: right here on Point of View.
[00:43:13] [SPEAKER_07]: Do you feel confident in articulating
[00:43:17] [SPEAKER_07]: and defending a biblical worldview
[00:43:19] [SPEAKER_07]: on the issues of our day?
[00:43:21] [SPEAKER_07]: Since 1972, Point of View has equipped people
[00:43:24] [SPEAKER_07]: to think, speak, and act biblically
[00:43:28] [SPEAKER_07]: about what's happening in the culture
[00:43:31] [SPEAKER_07]: but as a listener supported program
[00:43:33] [SPEAKER_07]: we can only do that by partnering with people like you.
[00:43:39] [SPEAKER_07]: You can help more Americans feel confident
[00:43:41] [SPEAKER_07]: in a biblical worldview
