[00:00:04] Across America, Live, this is Point of View, Kerby Anderson. Second Hour Today as we're broadcasting again from the Good News Network here in Augusta, Georgia. Looking forward to meeting a number of people, which we did last night, Liberty, and that was a great opportunity.
[00:00:30] And as we mentioned before, there were a lot of questions, obviously, about artificial intelligence, but also the midterm elections. And what I thought was so interesting is I didn't get a whole lot of questions about what's happening in Georgia, but as I'm holding up for you to see right now, in the front cover of The Spectator World, it says Lucky John. It's about how Senator Ossoff, who is the senator here in Georgia, became the Democrats' latest great white hope.
[00:00:58] Now there were a number of people that asked about the Texas Senate race, and we'll get into that as well. But some people might say, well, I live in a different state, so why should I care? Well, it turns out that if you look at some of the individuals that are the big money individuals in the Democratic Party, they always have a gathering up there at Martha's Vineyard. And what was so interesting, they brought in some of the people that we will talk about, James Tallarico, and they brought in, matter of fact, the Maryland governor, Westmore, because he thinks he's running for president.
[00:01:28] And, of course, all sorts of people that you've always thought might run, whether it's Abigail Spanberger or Josh Shapiro or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, whether you think it was maybe even a variety of other individuals that have been mentioned. Kamala Harris, of course, is in that list. But the one that really kind of got people's attention was John Ossoff, and he is, of course, a senator from Georgia.
[00:01:51] But they see him as, and this front cover says, how it may be the Democrats' latest great white hope. Our listeners in Illinois might remember years ago we pointed out the fact that there is this state senator, then U.S. Senator Barack Obama. And we were predicting that they were going to, in a sense, groom him for the presidency. And I think even though this election is pretty over, because I honestly think John Ossoff is going to win by 67 points,
[00:02:21] but we'll see how that turns out, the Democrats are saying, I'm not sure Kamala Harris is going to do it, and we're not so sure about some of these other individuals that we don't think AOC is ready for prime time and a variety of others. So maybe they're thinking that this is the case. And so I just wanted to, since we're in Georgia, to mention the fact that sometimes people think the midterm elections aren't that big,
[00:02:46] but they also provide a platform for who might be running a year or two from now for the United States presidency. And we're in that season. I mean, we are two years out from the next presidential election. So it's that time people are putting their foot on the gas pedal and they're revving up and they're trying to decide, okay, who's going to be the frontrunner here?
[00:03:07] Interestingly, you will see former President Barack Obama campaigning at a rally with Ossoff tomorrow night here in Georgia in the Atlanta area, along with the candidate for governor as well. And so it's interesting. I think you've seen that around the nation a little bit in some of these midterm elections. I believe Obama went up to Michigan. A lot of times they send him in whenever somebody's having a hard time.
[00:03:34] And it's interesting because, as you just mentioned, Senator Ossoff is currently leading his opponent by several points now. So we kind of think that we know how this election is going to go. So what does it say that Obama is now going to a rally with him when he's already in a good position? Is this a signal of kind of a knighting, if you will, or a stamp of approval from Obama, which, as so many people, they still look up to him as being a kingmaker of sorts in the Democratic Party?
[00:04:00] Well, again, you can also get a little bit of a sense that when sometimes an individual is running for U.S. Senate and they're not even talking about their opponent, of course he talks about Collins a little bit and things like that, he's actually talking about Trump. And I've got a couple of quotes here in which he's just been really hammering J.D. Vance. He's been hammering Donald Trump. One of the quotes here is, The Mar-o-Lago mafia really has taken American corruption to spectacular new heights.
[00:04:29] Cancer patients lose insurance while the rich get another tax cut. This corruption is why nothing works for ordinary people. A lot of people have compared him to kind of like a Barack Obama, 39 years of age. So I just thought it would be worth a mention that even though we're in the state of Georgia, and that's just one of the many states we broadcast in, sometimes when you see what is happening there, as you pointed out a minute ago, Barack Obama could be going to other states,
[00:04:57] and he is coming here to a place where really he's had a lead, I'd have to say. Ossoff's had a lead of about six, seven points for quite some time. I don't trust the polls, as you've heard me say so many times, and there is only one poll that counts, and that's on November. But that's the other issue that we should maybe address. If my numbers are right, I think there are 47 states that have early voting, and only three states, which we broadcast in, I think it was at Alabama, Mississippi, and New Hampshire,
[00:05:25] if I remember right off the top of my head, that don't. And so most of our listeners right now maybe have already voted or will be voting soon. So you can also see that if you're coming in here to really help a candidate, some of that has already taken place, and what you're trying to do is maybe convince a few people that are independent, or you may be just setting somebody up for a presidential run. And I'm going to make that prediction today here on Point of View. Okay. Well, we have it down. We'll write it down. It's recorded.
[00:05:56] We'll see what happens. But, yes, early voting is underway in many states. I know it opened up in our home state of Texas yesterday. Had some friends texting in the group chat earlier. I will just remind people, go to iVoterGuide, because if you haven't voted yet, there's time for you, obviously, to go and do that. And look at your ballot, because, you know, we're talking about Senator and who's going to run for president eventually. But so many of those state-level and local positions are also so important. And you can see your sample ballot.
[00:06:24] You can see where to go to vote. So people were texting in my town back home from my friends, okay, where are we going to vote? And I was like, iVoterGuide. I sent them the link. So you can do that, too. Send it to your friends so everybody can be educated before they go to the polls. We also mentioned recently a ballot guide, which got into some of the amendments. Some of those, of course, had to do with financial issues. And Derek was able to set that up with our friends at the National Taxpayers Union and recognize that most of you have opportunities to vote,
[00:06:52] because 435 members of the House of Representatives, 34 U.S. senators, 35 governors, not to mention all the state legislative issues. And last time we had on one of our experts from iVoterGuide, she was actually pointing out the fact that there is pretty good evidence from our friend George Barna that most people don't vote all the way down. Right. And some of those people in city council races and certainly in school board races, you need to vote for as well. Yeah.
[00:07:20] I mean, we've been talking about that today, just, you know, right here with our friends at the Good News Network, the state of public schools across the nation. And we're going to be talking about education here in a little bit with Sherry Few, and she comes on Point of View. And so people think about, okay, what's happening in the state, what's happening at the federal level, but who are you electing to your local school board? Even if you're a homeschooling family or you don't have children of school age, most people are going to be sending their kids to public school. That's just the way it is. And so if you want to care about, you know,
[00:07:48] the kids in your community and the kind of education they're getting, the kind of citizens they're growing up to be, then you need to be involved at those really local levels also. And again, some of these elections are just so close. If the polling means anything, and again, don't trust all the polls. You might even be discouraged not to go out and vote. I'm sure some listeners right now in Georgia say, well, don't assume that Senator Ossoff is going to be reelected. Yeah, I'm not assuming anything. I'm just telling you that I'm starting to see how the Democratic Party is gearing up.
[00:08:17] And if you also want to understand some of the people are gearing up in the Republican Party. Some of them are talking about what they're going to run for Senate or Congress or even for the presidency already. And I know you're saying we haven't even finished this election. No, we haven't. But it's just worth mentioning that as well. We come back, though. I thought it'd be worth talking a little bit about what's happening in France because that also sets up for some of the conversation we'll have with Sherry Few because she's worried about education. So we'll come back and get into that issue right after these important messages.
[00:09:00] This is Viewpoints with Kerby Anderson. Wilford Riley has spent years exposing false narratives about racism and racist actions. In his latest article, he explains what happens when the demand for racism exceeds supply. He makes the same argument in his book from many years ago with the title, Hate Crimes Hoax, How the Left is Selling a Fake Race War. The latest claims from the left-wing squad member and Massachusetts representative Ayanna Pressley.
[00:09:29] She used her website and the House.gov resource to demand a thorough, transparent, and comprehensive federal investigation of the numerous incidents of black people found hanging across the country. She refers to this as a national crisis. Lest you think this is a lone crusade, notice that her official letter on the topic sent to the DOJ and the FBI was signed by 59 of her congressional colleagues, and many in the legacy media have run with a claim that there is an epidemic of lynching.
[00:09:56] Now, before I go further, it is worth mentioning that death involving a rope is the most common method of suicide. Sadly, most of us know individuals who killed themselves in that way and never consider that suicide to be a lynching. In his article, Professor Riley takes the time to deal with several of the cases often mentioned. He also cites New York Times reporter John McWhorter, who is also skeptical of the lynching narrative. McWhorter noted that eight of the ten cases mentioned this year have officially been ruled a suicide,
[00:10:24] and the other two know a white suspect has been named. Rather than ask the key question, is the United States actually facing a contemporary epidemic of lynching, his answer is, obviously not. I encourage you to read his article. You will come to the same conclusion. I'm Kirby Anderson, and that's my point of view.
[00:10:49] Go deeper on topics like you just heard by visiting pointofview.net. That's pointofview.net. You're listening to Point of View, your listener-supported source for truth. Back once again, Liberty with me as we are talking about a number of issues, but I thought it would be good for a few minutes to focus on what is happening in France and what has been originally identified as disaffected students,
[00:11:19] and I think we're going to completely dismiss that in just a few minutes. You can see that the argument was some of the schoolchildren who are complaining about some of the conditions in the schools, but that wore thin pretty quickly when we saw so many individuals there with Palestinian flags. Police have made thousands of arrests. As over a half a million people took to the streets in France over the weekend,
[00:11:46] more than a thousand police have been reported injured in the violence. French streets are littered with broken glass and debris and all of the rest, and I think it is pretty clear, as many people have pointed out, that this, even if it was somehow related to some of the student concerns, very quickly was taken over by individuals who were talking about Al-Aqsa. There were Palestinian flags. There was an Algerian flag.
[00:12:15] There were Soviet flags out there, and some were saying, by Allah, kill her on some of the victims. So it looks to me to be a little bit more than a protest liberty over maybe school conditions, don't you think? I think so. I think maybe there were some students who started protesting that, and as often happens and as we've seen in Europe, as we've seen in some places in the United States as well,
[00:12:41] there are all too many radicals who are willing to come in and take advantage of the opportunity not only to protest, which I wouldn't even say this is protesting now, but just rioting. And it looks like civil war. And so this is something that is very sad to see, but one of the things that we need to think about is could this happen here? And what has happened over there to lead to this kind of environment
[00:13:08] where this kind of chaos is just allowed to run rampant, and how do we prevent that? And again, one of the articles that I thought about posting, but you can find it out there, the pogrom, again, inside the riots, because the writer there was pointing out that when the protesters began to target, they targeted individuals, and they even had addresses from some of the people that had provided addresses of Jewish shop owners,
[00:13:37] ransacked a synagogue, scattered holy books across the floor, and then, of course, as they said before, it can't be a coincidence that they chose to target a Jewish place of worship. They must have thought that since they were Jewish, there must be money there, but, of course, the issue is that it's an anti-Jewish, free Palestine, Muslim kind of issue. But let me come back to the other points you made, and that is could that happen here?
[00:14:04] And my commentary yesterday was, of course, one that we mentioned a little bit in terms of an upcoming article that you and I have both been writing about on affordability, and I pointed out that because the dollar has been worth less over time, because of what's called fiat currency, and my commentary yesterday was telling the story of a grandfather, a son, and a younger son, all of whom were doing worse because the dollar is worth less.
[00:14:32] We've talked about that so often with the Next Generation Roundtable. That has already played its way out in France, because, first of all, you brought lots of individuals here that were Muslim, that when you have immigration without assimilation, you have, of course, invasion. And, of course, that's a phrase that Charlie Kirk used so many times. And as a result, you also are really straining,
[00:14:57] because the organization was spending too much money on all sorts of social welfare programs. Let's get back to the area of education. Almost a third of the budget of the Department of Education in France is to pay for people who've retired. Just think of what that does. You can't even put the money inside the schools, and if you look at its indebtedness, it is greater than their GDP.
[00:15:23] Well, that is a preview of coming attractions for the United States in terms of this issue of a declining dollar, the lack of affordability, a younger generation, some of whom you talk about so often in the Next Generation Roundtable. So, if you think we've got a problem here in the United States, look at what's happening in France. But if you want to know what could be coming to our shores, look at what has been happening in Germany and France and England and other places like that.
[00:15:50] You know, France has one of Europe's largest Muslim populations. And, like you said, immigration without assimilation. And so many, to go back to what you talked about a moment ago, was just the targeting of businesses owned by Jewish people. You see these Palestinian flags that are immediately flown. I mean, they're popping up all over the world. Everybody wants to join in the cause. And all of a sudden, wave a Palestinian flag. It doesn't make any sense.
[00:16:18] But you just see this disdain for Western civilization, for democracy, for Jewish people, for Israel. And it's so disheartening. And so, you know, there are legitimate frustrations. And I think that's maybe something we can talk about with Sherry Few here in a few moments. There are legitimate frustrations that a lot of young people have that might be mixed into some of that. But they don't see any hope for the future.
[00:16:45] And so then they are much more susceptible, I think, to being swept up in a radical cause. And they don't even really understand, like, the clear logical implication of, okay, if we tear everything down, how is that going to fix everything? But they don't know what else to do. And nobody else is really addressing it in the way that helps anyone. This sort of relates back to the midterms, too, because a lot of young people say, I'm really concerned about affordability. But they are kidding themselves if they think electing democratic socialists are going to help with the issue of affordability.
[00:17:14] And I thought just for a minute, since we're getting close on time, because we do want to get her on in just a minute, there are a couple of resources. Number one, you've written a book on education. And, of course, you've also written a more recent booklet on AI in education. And that isn't necessarily an issue here, but it's certainly just something to be concerned about, because, as you mentioned, even over lunch, we're talking about this declining educational performance in many of the schools.
[00:17:40] Although, recently, we've even talked about the so-called Mississippi miracle that turned some of that around. And I think there is a value in teaching phonics and some things like that. But also, this whole issue of anti-Semitism. In my latest booklet on anti-Semitism, I talked about how there had been such an immigration of Jewish people from Europe to other parts, mostly to Israel.
[00:18:04] And the immigration of French Jews to Israel kind of declined until recently. And as you might imagine now, it has just exploded now over the last year or two and will explode even more. Because if you look at the desecration of the synagogue, the deliberate attack on Jewish shop owners, that is, unfortunately, something else that you're seeing there, which may not necessarily happen here. But back to this issue of affordability,
[00:18:33] if you are convinced that the current system isn't working, sometimes you're willing to think of some radical solutions. But democratic socialism is not the solution. It's part of the problem. Yeah, and it's all connected. Even when you're talking about, you know, teaching kids how to read and make sure they do that effectively and what's happening in our school systems, that matters. Because if you don't educate people well and you don't teach students how to think critically on their own without having an AI think for them
[00:19:01] or how to properly understand history, then they're not going to be able to read and understand what's happened with socialism in the past or what's happened with revolutions in the past. This is not France's first rodeo when it comes to revolution. People need to be able to read and understand history, and so education is a huge part of that. Again, in just a minute, we're going to be talking with Sherry Few, and she's the founder and CEO of a group called U.S. Parents Involved in Education, U.S.Pi. Easy to remember. She's actually located in South Carolina.
[00:19:29] You and I are going to be there along with Jana just a few hours from now. In fact, we will be in South Carolina and we'll be with some of our friends there. But what I think is so interesting is they have done some very significant studies, and I did a commentary about this. Penn has done some as well, and they found that one of the keys to success in terms of education is parental involvement. They found that parents who did nothing more than just ask their kids if they'd done their homework, they were 25 points or more.
[00:19:57] I think it actually ended up being 28 points higher than those. The other is if you can have a calm environment. It's not surprising that those schools that have very strict discipline, and we're talking about Taiwan and South Korea and Singapore, they did a lot better. So we're going to talk about some of that as well because when you look at these arrests in France and you see the disruption, and first with these out-of-control students
[00:20:25] and then all the radicals and all the Muslim Brotherhood and everything being involved, it's just a reminder that we don't want that here. And we know what works. We know how to improve educational performance. We recognize parents getting involved is really key, and if nothing else, I'm hoping that what has happened in France is a warning shot and maybe a warning sign for those of us to pay attention to what is happening in our schools because, again, our particular culture
[00:20:55] is not immune to some of the violence. We have produced booklets and articles about the whole area of political violence in the streets and on campus and the rest. So let me just point you again to my commentary yesterday on affordability. The one today is on lynching, which, again, is just one of those interesting scams that has been perpetuated by a couple of members of Congress, and you can find all of that at the website pointofview.net.
[00:21:22] But if you find yourself wanting to find some of these articles, some of these booklets, one of the good reasons to support Point of View, and you can find it at the website pointofview.net. We'll be right back. Who can you trust? Years ago, many of us could probably have provided a fairly long list, but today, well, today it seems we almost can't trust anyone. Educators don't even know what a woman is anymore.
[00:21:49] Many so-called public servants have shown all they care about is themselves. The FBI has been accused of bias, law-breaking, betrayal, and journalism. It's largely corrupt, with no Clark Kent standing up for truth, justice, and the American way. All of this is why Point of View Radio is more important than ever, and your part in supporting us is more needed than ever.

[00:22:40] Pointofview.net and 800-347-5151. Point of View is produced by Point of View Ministries. You are listening to Point of View.
[00:23:04] The opinions expressed on Point of View do not necessarily reflect the views of the management or staff of this station. And now, here again, is Kerby Anderson. Broadcast again from the Good News Network here in Augusta, Georgia. Liberty with me. And we're going to spend some time now talking about the importance of parents being involved in education, which, as I mentioned just a minute ago, is the organization, U.S. Parents Involved in Education.
[00:23:31] We have a link to it on the website at pointofview.net. Are government schools redeemable? And the whole issue is the goal is to return education to its proper local roots and restore parental authority. Since we were talking just a minute ago, Liberty, about what's in France, at least 200 teenagers, 85 school staff, more than 1,000 police officers and others have been injured.
[00:23:55] And the arrests are now just on the credible number of five figures almost. And so this is, again, a major issue in France. But let's forget that because we want to focus on what's going on here in the United States. Yes. And so, Sherry Few, thank you for joining us on Point of View again. It's great to talk with you again. I know we talked back in the spring, I believe. And so this is a blog post on your website for U.S. Parents Involved in Education.
[00:24:23] And as parents look at what is happening over in France, we know that these protests, quote, unquote, which are really riots now, began with some students being dissatisfied. And then as you note here on the blog post, you know, it's expanded. You have anarchists, you have members of the Socialist Party, people who are anti-Semitic.
[00:24:48] You have anybody taking advantage of this now who really just go out and radically riot. And so this, you argue, is a result of far-left indoctrination on the part of schools. And so we see the result of that in France, but we should be concerned about that in the United States too. So tell us more about that. Yes. This is what's happening in France should be a wake-up call to parents in America
[00:25:18] because we have seen in America already at the first part of the year in January and February, there were thousands of students that were involved in ICE-OUT protests and walking out of schools in January or February, several states included, Minnesota, California, Texas, Michigan. And this isn't just college campuses. We're talking about high school and middle school students.
[00:25:45] And so the crux of the problem, in our opinion, is it really began with the Common Core standards. If you remember, there was a lot of debate in our country over the Common Core standards back around 2010, 2012. So those standards have now been in place for about 15 years.
[00:26:04] And one of the standards at every grade level teaches children that there are societal ills that are their responsibility to fix. So children are taught at very young ages and throughout their educational career that this is their responsibility. And, of course, we have the indoctrination that's happening where the schools are actually telling the students what the problems are.
[00:26:32] So, you know, that's why we see the ICE-OUT protests because children were taught that, you know, the ICE enforcement of the law on immigration is bad and it's their responsibility to fix it. So this is what's been happening in government schools for over a decade now. We've allowed children to be indoctrinated on what the problems are in our society
[00:26:58] and then given them the responsibility for addressing the solutions and it's at all costs. One teacher was even noted as saying that they needed to stop Donald Trump at all costs. I mean, all of this is documented. It's unfortunate, but it's happening in our government schools. And, again, that's why America needs to see what's happening in France and recognize that we are headed down the same path.
[00:27:27] Yeah, you know, I remember I'm taken back to one of my nieces' little end-of-the-year productions at a public school she went to, and these little kids were doing this whole skit on how the world is going to burn up and end if they don't recycle. And I was like, oh, my goodness, like that is so dramatic. And we talk about peer pressure a lot and we think of that as being, you know, kid-to-kid, you know, peer pressure.
[00:27:54] But this is making me realize that for many of these students who are raised under this kind of teaching, who are being told this at every grade level year after year, you can't have a different opinion, it would seem, because you're going to be made to feel not only that you might have a different political opinion, but that you're actually a bad person if you don't join this social movement.
[00:28:19] And it makes me think of stories we've heard from different, you know, areas around the nation where if a student does stand up, oftentimes they're the ones bullied by the school for having a different opinion. And this is not, you know, they might think that, okay, we're raising citizens who are able to be engaged, but this isn't actually the way to raise citizens who are engaged in a constitutional republic in a productive way, is it? No, not at all. It's very damaging.
[00:28:49] And another analogy to France is that the teachers' unions joined in with these riots that we're seeing in France. And, I mean, these riots are astronomical. I mean, the numbers, I looked up the latest numbers today. The government is claiming 550,000 rioters, and the organizers are claiming 800,000.
[00:29:13] This is a huge unrest, and the adults have joined in with the students in this, teachers' unions. And we have to be reminded in America our two largest teachers' unions are run by Marxists, self-proclaimed Marxists that believe in left ideology and are pushing left ideology through the power that they have attained through these teachers' unions.
[00:29:38] So it's a very scary situation for Americans and especially parents that have children in government schools. We have been saying for some time now that you have to get your kids out. Your first line of defense has to be to protect your children. And children are being harmed in government schools by the indoctrination, and, you know, they're setting things in their mind that has even caused mental confusion.
[00:30:08] You know, if you think about the transgender ideology, they're planting these ideas in very young children's minds that they might not be the sex they were born. That is a mental dysphoria that's being caused to children through the teachings of government schools. So not to get off the subject of violence, but it's all interrelated.
[00:30:32] And another very difficult thing is that they're pitting parents against their children. So, for example, in the case of the transgender ideology, there's something they're calling adultism now, which is a form of oppression. So now parents are oppressors to their children if they don't support an idea put in their head that they might be born,
[00:30:59] they might be not the sex they were born. So it's really not a safe place for children. That's why we warn parents. We have a podcast that we do weekly where we highlight these issues and have experts on that talk about the depth of indoctrination that's happening. And so that's what we recommend to parents. But in the meantime, we can't leave all the other children behind.
[00:31:25] My good friend Alex Newman says we've got to get our kids out like the building is on fire, but then we have to go back and rescue the other children. We can't let them burn up. And so it's not just in the interest of protecting children, but also in protecting our country's freedom. Because this radical unrest that we're seeing in France will no doubt lead to a civil war.
[00:31:52] And it's an intentional agenda, and it's spreading to the West, and we see it happening in our own country. So it's even as intense as protecting our country's freedom. Let's take a break, and when we come back, we're going to continue with Sherry Few. And if you are maybe learning about her for the first time, although she has been on with Liberty before, we have all sorts of information for you.
[00:32:17] If you go to pointofview.net, scroll down, you'll see, first of all, the article that we've talked about. You'll see the website. We have links to a couple of those. There's YouTube, Facebook, Spotify, X. There is, as she just mentioned a minute ago, the Unmasking Government Schools with Sherry Few, which is a podcast. And, of course, you can also listen or watch those as well on some of the links that we've provided.
[00:32:43] So if you want to educate yourself about that, that is certainly the case. And when we come back, I want to talk about some of the other issues. One of those is that you might say, where are these students when they're supposed to be in school? Well, one of the things that we might point out is in this country, we've had what are called school walkouts, which have increased dramatically and oftentimes are endorsed by the teachers
[00:33:10] and endorsed even by the teachers' unions, like the National Education Association, the American Federation of Teachers, and others. So I want to come back and talk about the fact that we sometimes think we're sending kids to school and we find out they're out there in the streets, but parents are not being prosecuted for truancy or anything like that. They're actually encouraged to go and engage in some of these walkouts. So some of what has happened in France is already happening here.
[00:33:39] We'll talk about that with Sherry Few right after this. You're listening to Point of View, your listener-supported source for truth. Back for a few more minutes as we broadcast today from the Good News Network in Augusta, Georgia.
[00:34:08] Let me just as a program note mention that tomorrow we have Natasha Crane on with this very good book, When Culture Hates You, because we recognize what happens when you stand up for some of those issues. And then in the second hour, our good friend Lee Strobel, Seeing the Supernatural. Of course, he's had so many best-selling books, but this one will really help you, again, deal with some of these miraculous healings, some of these unexplained sightings, near-death encounters, and much, much more.
[00:34:37] But I thought it would be good, Liberty, as we're talking about this, to share. He's talking about both. We need to get our kids out of the government schools, especially some that are just doing great harm. But we can't just do that. We also need to be involved, because our tax dollars are going in those directions, and still the vast majority of young people are getting a substandard and woke education in the classes, aren't they? You know what? Yes, that is correct.
[00:35:02] And when we have the midterms coming right up, one of the things that we've been encouraging people to do, Sherry, is to look at those down-ballot positions, including things like the school board, because even if people are choosing a different schooling plan for their kids, if they're homeschooling or they have a Christian school, what about the majority of the students who are still in public school? So I'd love to hear your recommendations for people, too, on how they can get involved in their community to help the other kids who are in the public school system.
[00:35:32] Oh, I appreciate that opportunity, Liberty, because we need all hands on deck. We really do if we're going to rescue these children and prevent what is ultimately we believe the end game is to change our form of government in this country. So that's another motivation, not just to help protect the children, but to reserve our country's freedom.
[00:35:57] So they can, of course, go to our website, which I appreciate you guys have already mentioned largely, but, again, it's USPIE.org. And we have state chapters, and there could be a chapter in their state if they want to go and check the map. And if there isn't currently a chapter in their state, they can fill out a form and speak with some of our people,
[00:36:21] and we can get you connected with people in your state that are like-minded and help you to form a chapter. So, of course, there's a lot of other great organizations out there. There is one that we like to talk about is Public School Exit, and the website is publicschoolexit.com. It's a really good resource for parents who are looking at alternatives to government education because there are lots of great models that are out there and emerging
[00:36:50] and lots of ways that parents can escape the indoctrination happening in the government schools. So that's another great website. I encourage them to engage, you know, through social media, which so many people do. You know, we have a Facebook page and a Twitter page, and we put a lot of our messaging out that way, and they can share it, you know, on their platforms so that we can expand our reach.
[00:37:19] So signing up at uspi.org will connect them with – we have about two or three emails we send out a week. One is the podcast for each week. Another is a news release like the one that we're talking about today. So it keeps you connected with current information and ways that they can help. You know, I'm looking at the map right now at uspi.org, and as we've mentioned, we're broadcasting live from the Good News Network in Georgia.
[00:37:49] I don't see a chapter in Georgia. So if you happen to be in the state of Georgia where we're broadcasting right now and you're listening and you want to get more involved in education and help other parents do the same, then I would say maybe this is your sign that you need to go and start a chapter. But, Sherry, I just wanted to go back to something that you mentioned a moment ago, and that has to do with worldview. And you mentioned that there are teachers' unions in the United States that are operating from a Marxist point of view or a Marxist worldview.
[00:38:17] And it reminded me of a question we actually had at an event last night, Kirby, where somebody was asking, you know, why are so many people, so many young people falling for socialism, for this DSA movement? And that's what we were talking about is, well, you have to understand the framework that they've been given to try to solve the world's problems. And so when you were talking about all of the Common Core standards or literally training children in this from, you know, kindergarten all the way up,
[00:38:46] it just clicked that no wonder so many young people graduating out of the public school system today are falling for socialism. Because it's just the worldview behind the curriculum that they've been given. So talk about that just a minute more, because I think this is so crucial for people to understand. Yes, you just hit the nail on the head. I'm so glad that that clicked for you, because, you know, we talk about so many different issues through our organization.
[00:39:14] But that is a key thing. It's the result of what's being taught in government schools is why we see so many young people embracing socialism and communism. And it didn't just start. I have a daughter-in-law who is mid-30s, and she told me, because she was working for our organization before she had children, but she would tell me that she had friends from high school that she would go over to their house,
[00:39:44] you know, after they had been married, so they're adults, young adults, and they had a communist flag hanging in their living room. So it, and that's in South Carolina, and, you know, what we think is a very red state. And so children have been influenced to think that communism and socialism are a superior form of government. It is definitely a worldview opposite what most Christians believe in, and it's been happening for some time.
[00:40:12] I'll even go back a little further to my oldest son, who's now approaching 40. And that's when I first got involved with what's happening in government schools, because my children were in government schools, and I was reviewing his geography textbook. That's back when we had textbooks. Parents can't even see what children are learning today because everything's online. But I was able to see in his textbook geography of all things. It was describing China as this wonderful country.
[00:40:42] They had a wonderful form of government. They gave tax breaks to families for having, just having a few children, you know, limiting the population. And now we see, you know, they have the opposite problem, and we're starting to see the opposite problem in America too. We've done the same thing with our children. We've told them that it's irresponsible for them to have more than two children, and that's something my son told me he had learned.
[00:41:07] So, yeah, it goes all the way back even a couple of decades ago. It was very incremental, frog in the water type scenario. But I think since COVID, I think when the government saw how they could control people through their actions through COVID, it's almost as though they just opened up the faucet and let it run. And we have just seen so much evidence of indoctrination. It is shocking.
[00:41:36] Again, let me encourage people to go to our website, pointofview.net. But it's USPI, stands for U.S. Parents Involved in Education. Of course, we have a link to her. You can find out more about going to, again, Unmasking Government Schools. Let's share a few on YouTube, Facebook, Spotify, X. We have the website. There's a podcast, all sorts of great resources. So thank you for being with us first in April and then again here today. So it's been great to have you with us.
[00:42:06] Well, thank you, Kirby. I really appreciate you guys having me on and showcasing this really important topic. I'm sure we will do it again. So let me just mention real quickly that before we say goodbye from Augusta, Georgia, that tomorrow you'll hear Natasha Crane, and that is When Culture Hates You. How do we respond in a really appropriate way in that regard? Lee Strobel will be with us as well, and we'll be talking about his book, Seeing the Supernatural.
[00:42:34] I might just mention on Thursday, Robert Knight, this is fun, Liberty, the importance of an election that should not be as crucial as it is, which is, I think, what we said. We wouldn't expect a midterm election to be so crucial, but it is. It is one of the most important, maybe the most important midterm election ever. So certainly don't forget that. And, of course, we'll have some other great guests all the way through the week. Again, we want to just thank everybody who's been involved with that.
[00:43:03] Jana, thank you, and Liberty, thank you. I want to thank our good host at Good News Network. We look forward to seeing you back here in Dallas, and we encourage you to listen to us tomorrow right here on Point of View. It almost seems like we live in a different world from many people in positions of authority. They say men can be women and women men. People are prosecuted differently or not at all, depending on their politics. Criminals are more valued and rewarded than law-abiding citizens.
[00:43:33] It's so overwhelming, so demoralizing. You feel like giving up, but we can't. We shouldn't. We must not. But, as Winston Churchill said to Britain in the darkest days of World War II, never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy. And that's what we say to you today.
[00:43:58] This is not a time to give in, but to step up and join Point of View in providing clarity in the chaos. We can't do it alone, but together, with God's help, we will overcome the darkness.
