In the second hour, Kerby speaks with the host of our Millennial Round Table, Chelsey Youman. Chelsey is the National Director of Public Policy for Human Coalition. Today’s topics for discussion include the fight for life and the abortion pill, the many injunctions and stoppers the democrats are throwing in the way of President Trump’s campaign promises, and other top stories from today. Kerby’s co-host today is Collin Lambert.

[00:00:05] Live, this is Point of View, Kirby Anderson. Second Hour today, let's talk about DOGE for just a few minutes, the Department of Government Efficiency. There have been some people raising some criticism, legitimately so, that yes, you're saving some money here and there,
[00:00:33] but you're not going after the big guys, the individuals where there's probably the greatest waste. Well, I thought you might like to see this article because it's talking about the fact that in the United States Senate, they actually have a DOGE caucus. Now again, some of you may know about that because it's Senator Johnny Ernst who actually has been involved in that regard.
[00:00:55] And there have been other people in the past, William Proxmire and Rand Paul and a number of others that have talked about waste, fraud and abuse. Well, she came into office with the tagline, Make Em Squeal, because we're talking about pork barrel kinds of things. If you're not familiar with her, she is a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee and has worked really diligently to ensure that the Pentagon,
[00:01:21] that would be the Department of Defense, discloses the cost of its projects that are funded by the federal government and really has been a person who has focused some time and attention on things that are redundant or just wasteful spending. I think the one that probably was at the very top of the list, people always think about that very expensive toilet seat,
[00:01:46] but I think the one that's really at the top of the list that she found out is at one time the Pentagon spent for 25 coffee cups $1,220. And that was, of course, one that she tagged in terms of just how outrageous it was, but one of the ones that was most expensive, if you think about it, a $4 million grant to determine whether junk food is more distracting than health food.
[00:02:13] Why that's even in the Department of Defense, I do not know. So for some of you that I think legitimately are saying, okay, time is up, you know, it's nice to have Elon Musk go after and Doge go after some of these places where money has been spent illegitimately for DEI or whatever. There are some people in the background that are working, and she's, of course, given out these Squeal Awards.
[00:02:37] And for those of you that wonder, well, don't we need to maybe even rethink how we do the military? Well, if you get my commentary, my commentary on Friday is one in which right now Elon Musk has been saying, maybe we need more long-range drones and less manned fighter jets. And I'll talk about some of that. That was an article, was in the New York Times, but also we talked about a while back in one of my commentaries, Killer Robot.
[00:03:04] So these are some things that we also like to talk about here on Point of View. And as we're in this third day of our Truth Team Week's second hour, Colin, we certainly want to hit our goal. But once again, we remind people that even military policy is something we talk about here on Point of View. Absolutely. I don't know that there's a topic, Kirby, that you all miss. You get the ball. And again, oftentimes it's news that you don't hear anywhere else or you hear the headlines somewhere else.
[00:03:33] But you really get the meat of what's happening here with a biblical perspective. That's something you don't always get. Our goal today is $30,000. It's Truth Team Week. We are listener-supported radio. We're not getting any grants from anybody. There's no endowments that are handing out dollars to Point of View. You help make it possible for Point of View to be here. And we're grateful for those of you who've given up to this point so that Point of View can be here. Also grateful for you that have been given today.
[00:04:03] Just recently, Craig in Colorado gave $250. Edith in Georgia gave $100. Dennis in Alaska with a $50 a month gift. Charles in Illinois gave $50. And Cheryl in North Carolina gave $50 a month. So we're grateful for that. So far, $4,155 in. Our goal today, $30,000 for the day. We're in our final hour. We still need $25,845.
[00:04:30] So you can imagine to get there this hour, we're going to need gifts of every size. We're going to need those $10 and $25 and $50 gifts. We're going to need those monthly gifts of $30 a month, $50 a month, $100 a month. And if you're able, we might even need some of those larger gifts. A $5,000 or a $10,000 gift would certainly help move us closer to our goal today. 800-347-5151. People always say, where do you get your ideas? Well, I get them from all sorts of places.
[00:04:59] But I also get them from Warren Kelly. The other day, he sent me this article. It was in the New York Times, Reimagining the American War Machine. And that is something that you'll see in my Friday commentary. But we thought we'd bring Warren Kelly, president of Point of View, in to give us an update on how we're doing. I think Colin just kind of went through the numbers there. So I won't do that again. But let me take a moment just to pause here for a second and say, for those of you that have given so far this week, thank you very much. Yes.
[00:05:27] We appreciate your support more than we can say. And for those of you that have been giving longer, you know, we have a number of people who have been giving for years. Some of them 10, 20, a few of them even for 30 years they have been giving every month. And I can't thank you enough. And I want to, again, emphasize the impact that your gifts have. They have impacted the lives of so many people, helping them to build a biblical worldview.
[00:05:55] You heard testimony from Liberty in the last hour and how it's shaped her life. And we've heard from so many others that their lives have been just really changed. And the direction, the trajectory of their lives have been impacted. So thank you for your giving. But let me also take a moment to say we have another match. We have a listener who called in and has said that they want to give $3,000. Wow.
[00:06:21] And so your gift for the next however long it takes to meet the match is match dollar for dollar up to $3,000. Well, again, we better get started on that one. We will start right now with the next call or click. It will take place either way. 800-347-5151. 800-347-5151. Pointofview.net.
[00:06:45] Whether you call or click, whether you give a one-time gift or a monthly gift, your gift right now is going to be doubled up to $3,000. You know, Colin said a moment ago that, you know, talking about the depth, that is one of the uniquenesses about Pointofview. Most radio shows, television shows, if a guest comes on, they get three minutes, maybe 10, occasionally 15. Pointofview gives an entire hour to a guest.
[00:07:12] And Kirby does more research to help that guest get their message across, get their truth across. There's more depth in this show than any other program on the air. And in addition to that, there's more breadth. I mean, Kirby knows more things about more things than anybody I know and covers a broader range of issues.
[00:07:33] But again, does all of that by bringing biblical principles and a biblical worldview to bear back on those things to help shape your worldview and make a difference for your future. And if he doesn't know it, he's going to find the resources to help understand it and make sure those are available on the website. Yeah, I'm still trying to find the thing he doesn't know about. I'm trying to come in with something that he doesn't know about yet. Stump Kirby is the challenge. 800-347-5151.
[00:08:01] 800-347-5151. It's day three of a five-day Truth Team week. We are in the final phases of this week. And Wednesday is a critical day. Our goal for today, $30,000. We're going to need gifts of every size. And right now, hopefully it'll help. We've got a dollar-for-dollar match on the board up to $3,000 right now. 800-347-5151 or pointofview.net. We come back. Chelsea Ewellman with us.
[00:08:30] And we're going to be talking about, of course, abortion pill in one of her articles, which we already have gotten to. Also some legal issues that I think she'll bring to the table there as well. So you don't want to miss that. That's why you want to call now. 800-347-5151. 800-347-5151. We'll be right back.
[00:08:58] This is Viewpoints with Kirby Anderson. In her book, Uncommon Courage, constitutional lawyer Keisha Russell warns of the seeds of tyranny that have taken root and reaching a critical tipping point. She was on my radio program recently to describe what is happening and to expose the tactics of forces attempting to undermine the foundations of this republic. She begins by talking about the foundations for freedom in this country that come from Christianity. The framers had a biblical view of government and of human nature.
[00:09:27] That is why our republic is constructed this way. She then talks about how tyranny and totalitarianism has spread in other countries and applies those historic patterns to the U.S. She believes we have an opportunity through the church. She has been defending the religious liberty of Christians and others and commends them for their courage, hence the title of her book. She applies her biblical worldview to many of the contemporary issues of our day. A Supreme Court decision about contraception led to the infamous decision about abortion.
[00:09:55] Once life was redefined, it was only a matter of time before marriage would be redefined. She focuses due attention on America's original sin, slavery. In many ways, the argument justifying slavery was only slightly modified to justify abortion and even legalizing dehumanization. It led to the legalization of infanticide. How should we respond? We should live with purpose. We should pursue a kingdom agenda. We should stand for what is right and resist the pressure placed upon us.
[00:10:25] She also has instructive suggestions on how to improve our criminal justice system and public education. Finally, we need to speak boldly. We should recognize truth in a world filled with historic propaganda. Put simply, it's time for Christians to take a stand. I'm Kirby Anderson and that's my Point of View. Go deeper on topics like you just heard by visiting pointofview.net.
[00:10:53] That's pointofview.net. Point of View, keeping you anchored to truth. Let me tell you what I know about Point of View. It inspires me to make a pledge right now for my organization to you because you have been a part of this entire change in direction of our nation when it comes to life.
[00:11:19] I do not believe we could have done it without the partnership that you helped lead on. You did something that I could never do. I just know that your voice has been incredibly powerful over time. I'm speaking to people while they're in the car, while they are living their lives. There are real human beings everywhere who need to know what's going on, need to know how to act to save lives.
[00:11:46] It's just so clear and evident to our entire team across the country and in D.C. that you understand grassroots up and top roots down in a way that nobody else does. And so that's why I'm going to make a pledge right now. But I just want you to know it's dedication from the heart and also just from practical strategy. Point of View, anchored to truth.
[00:12:12] Great comments from Marjorie Dannerfelser, who is with Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life, of course, as the head of that and as an individual that is not only a guest but also a donor. And it has been amazing, Colin, the number of times we've had guests that have said at the end, OK, here's my credit card. How can I give to you this? And so they don't just appreciate the fact that they can get their information out to the public through this airwaves. They also want to support what we are doing as well.
[00:12:39] So I think that's an encouragement there as well as we get into our next guest in just a minute. But I think you want to give us an update. Well, the biggest update is we've just heard that we got a $3,000 dollar for dollar match on the board. And that's exciting. A hundred dollars of that has been used so far. So $2,900 available to you to double your gift. We've got a $30,000 goal today. That's a big one. It's going to take everybody doing something.
[00:13:05] If you can give a gift of any amount right now and have that doubled, that is a beautiful thing. If you're able to give a leadership gift, maybe one of those gifts like a $3,000 gift, a $5,000 gift, maybe even a $10,000 gift. We're seeing gifts come in like that occasionally. But it's going to take some of those gifts to get us to our ultimate goal of $150,000 by Friday. This is a big challenge. And it's a big week. Truth Team Week. And you need to be a partner.
[00:13:32] If you're blessed by this ministry, we want to encourage you to bless this ministry back with your gifts. Whatever you can do right now, it's doubled. 800-347-5151. 800-347-5151. Or pointofview.net. Well, we have an opportunity to talk with Chelsea Uelman. And she is the National Director of Public Policy for Human Coalition. Chelsea, thank you for joining us. Always good to be here. Thanks for having me, Kirby.
[00:14:00] I'm going to hold up the booklet that we had last hour where we talked with Liberty. But we also posted an article that you wrote. And it actually came out a little over a year and a half ago. And it was in the Washington Times about the issue of the danger of unfettered abortion pill access. How that really is exploitation. And we sort of touched on that with Liberty. But I thought we might spend some time getting into that.
[00:14:28] Because now that it is possible for a person to order pills, these, as we talked about, could be dropped into somebody's drink. This could be forced on an individual. So the abortion exploitation, which has always been there, has seemed to increase, hasn't it? You're absolutely right, Kirby. And it's not just something that we're worried about in the future. It's something that we're already seeing happen.
[00:14:54] You know, I work for Human Coalition where we serve pregnant women in need every single day and pregnant women who seek abortion every single day. And through our work, we are seeing real life on the ground, most predominantly minors. So teenagers who find themselves pregnant, who want to keep their babies, whose mother or father forced them to take abortion pills. One such client of ours ended up hemorrhaging in the ER.
[00:15:20] Another client was forced by her mother and taken across state lines where nothing could essentially be done in the life-protecting state she lived in. And that's not to mention about a dozen or so stories we've seen in the news where partners or abusive husbands or boyfriends flip these pills unknowingly into women's food or drinks and induce abortion. One attorney out of Houston, Texas, did that seven times, seven times to his partner.
[00:15:48] And so it's fraught with abuse, and abortion drugs just make it a little bit easier. Well, and that brings us to, of course, what you're doing through Human Coalition. So let's talk about that, because in this article, when I would encourage people, as we've said before, if you're at a pregnancy resource center, maybe you're a pastor, you would certainly want to get this booklet. And we make it available today so you can download it. But I hope you'll also leave a gift, because after all, it does cost something.
[00:16:12] But if they also get your article that appeared a while back in Washington Times, you also spend some time with a link to what you're doing at Human Coalition. And it illustrates the fact that it used to be that you could actually maybe catch an abortion-minded woman before she went to a clinic.
[00:16:32] Now that a majority of these abortions are happening behind the scenes in the home by taking pills, that all the more illustrates why a Human Coalition strategy makes some sense, doesn't it? That's exactly right. When women, what we're finding is we're in an online abortion world now. It's the new back-alley abortion. You can go online. Unfortunately, an order pill will be shipped to your door in 72 hours.
[00:17:00] And what those pills do, she's left all alone at home without a doctor, without any oversight. The first drug kills her child, and the second drug induces labor. And it's a really horrific experience, one that the women we're serving are told lies about. They're told that it's as easy as a Tylenol, that it's just a clump of cells. And, of course, we know that not to be the case. Abortion ends the life of a living human child, and we're here to serve those mothers.
[00:17:26] And we do that by meeting them online first, where they're searching for these abortions or resources or help to intervene and say, we can help you. You don't have to make that choice. We find that 76% of women seeking abortion would rather be moms. That's what they tell us. They'd rather be moms. They just don't know how. And that's where we come in to help them figure out how. And, again, that's why I would encourage you to support your local pregnancy resource center, to support, of course, Human Coalition.
[00:17:54] But right now, Colin, we're looking for people to support Point of View. Absolutely. And this is one of the reasons I love what has just been shared by Chelsea. It is so important. This is the story that's never told, the story of what happens behind the scenes, number one. And number two, how many women actually would keep their child if they weren't being pressured by friends or family or significant others to get rid of that child?
[00:18:20] That's information you only hear on Point of View. Nowhere else are you going to get that in the media. And I'm so excited, even in a tough situation like we're talking about, that truth comes to the fore. Anchored to truth. That is Point of View. And as you give your gift, you can ensure the fact that Point of View will continue to give accurate information, trustworthy information with a biblical perspective. And you can give a gift right now. And it's going to be doubled.
[00:18:49] We have several that just did that. Christine in South Carolina gave $100. It was doubled. Marlene in Alaska, $10 a month, becomes $20 a month. Patty in New Mexico, your $30 a month becomes $60 a month. Olga in Texas gave a $300 gift. That becomes $600. We've still got $2,155 of those dollar-for-dollar matches available.
[00:19:13] So any gift up to $21.55 right now can be doubled at 800-347-5151. As you're listening to Kirby and Chelsea, call or click through at pointofview.net. Chelsea, of course, you are a very busy individual, a very busy mom. And yet you have been willing to be the host of our Millennial Roundtable. What would you say to our listeners because you're willing to give your time and talent to make that possible? What would you say to our listeners?
[00:19:42] I would say it's an absolute joy. To be completely honest, I do lots of media with a lot of outlets who, frankly, refuse to cover the truth fully. They might give half the story and they might not give a quote at all from both sides. And to come to a place like Point of View where I genuinely feel like we can have different perspectives, sometimes disagree even, but that all sides of truth is the goal. And the purpose of Point of View is to get that to rise to the surface.
[00:20:11] And it's an absolute joy to have an outlet for that and to go somewhere that's not just reliable, that's not just consistent, but is an expert and really follows current events with a biblical perspective. And it's just been an absolute joy to be able every single month to come be a part of that and almost get to tell the truth in a world that likes to hide it.
[00:20:34] Well, we're going to take a break and when we come back, I'm going to get Chelsea's comments as a lawyer about these nationwide injunctions and some of the other thoughts that she might have there as well. But as we go to the bottom of the hour break, this is a time when I found calling that some people say, I don't want to miss what Liberty has to say. Don't want to miss what Chelsea has to say. Well, they won't. They can go right now and make that phone call or go to that website. And we really encourage them to do so because we have a match on the table. Matches on the table.
[00:21:02] $2,055 now remaining. Dollar for dollar match up to $2,055. 800-347-5151. 800-347-5151 or pointofview.net. Let's see if we can get five more phone calls right now. Anchor to truth. 1-800-347-5151. We'll be right back.
[00:21:30] Truth Team Week is officially underway and we have an ambitious goal. Raise $150,000. You can help by joining the Truth Team today. Consider for a moment the news sources available to most Americans. Are the media voices that we hear each day generally biased or trustworthy? Do they keep us informed or panicked?
[00:21:57] Are they deceived by the secularism of our times or anchored to biblical wisdom? Well, you and I both know the answer to those questions. And that is why America needs you to act today. America needs point of view. By joining the Truth Team, you can help ensure that Americans continue hearing a voice that is trustworthy,
[00:22:22] grounded in facts over hysteria, and most importantly, anchored to biblical truth. Join today at pointofview.net or by calling 1-800-347-5151. Point of view.net and 1-800-347-5151. Point of view will continue after this.
[00:22:51] You are listening to Point of View. The opinions expressed on Point of View do not necessarily reflect the views of the management or staff of this station. And now, here again, is Kirby Anderson. Back once again, but we need to say, come on guys, let's go, because we certainly have a match on the table.
[00:23:18] We have a goal of $30,000, so anything you can do to help us out would be greatly appreciated. Let me also mention, we'll get back to Chelsea in just a minute. As a matter of fact, one of the other articles we've posted here, we talked about the abortion pill, we've talked about education, talked about Doge. We're going to talk about what about these injunctions, and we're going to have Chelsea put on her legal hat for just a minute, because she is a lawyer. But first of all, Colin, we need to come back to you and see how we're doing. Yeah, we've got this $3,000 dollar for dollar match on the board right now.
[00:23:47] So far, $1,570 in. Nat just corrected. $1,645 in. $1,355 remaining for the dollar for dollar match. Want to thank Edward in South Carolina. Your $100 became $200. Linda in Georgia, your $30 a month became $60 a month. Another Linda with a $25 gift, that became $50. Jennifer in Georgia, your $25 became $50. And Linda in Indiana, your $75 became $150.
[00:24:17] Again, $1,355 available for those dollar for dollar matches. And you can just call 800-347-5151. Kirby, you mentioned the $30,000 goal. That's not our week goal. That's our day goal. That's our goal today. And we need to see some of those leadership gifts. Maybe the first person to step forward today with a gift of $3,000 or $5,000, maybe even a $10,000 gift. I know not everybody can do that, but you may be listening today. You can.
[00:24:46] And point of view has meant something to you in your life. You'd like to give something back. We need to hear from you now. 800-347-5151. As I said before, no gift is too small. And certainly no gift is too large. And so some of you might could be part of that leadership challenge. And it really is kind of a challenge gift right now. And we'll see if there are some others that want to step forward with some kind of challenge as well. But, Chelsea, for just a few minutes, of course, you are a lawyer and you've thought about this.
[00:25:16] But you also, as a citizen, have noticed that we've had a problem with injunctions. First of all, there's at least 160 lawsuits that have been filed against the Trump administration. That is unprecedented. And that's a word I don't use too often because I think it's overused. But that really is unprecedented.
[00:25:33] And then when we talk about the number of nationwide injunctions, more have been lodged against the Trump administration just in the month, I guess, of February than during the entire eight years of Barack Obama. So one of the articles we've posted here by a law professor, Elizabeth Price Foley, that appeared in the Wall Street Journal is, maybe there's something the Supreme Court can do to address those issues. I'd love to get your thoughts.
[00:26:00] Well, this is certainly an issue that in the legal community for, I would say, over a decade that I've been involved, has discussed the dangers of a nationwide injunction. And what that essentially is is the power of one judge in one district in the United States to block or stop the activity, whatever is before that judge, for the entire country. And so that's what a nationwide injunction means.
[00:26:26] It's an exorbitant amount of power to give one judge. Now, of course, there's a natural appellate process, which I believe Justice Roberts alluded to, where once you get an injunction in that district court judge, you can appeal up to your circuit court, which is another layer of protection, and then from there up to the U.S. Supreme Court. So you have a few bites at the apple, so to speak, to revoke that nationwide injunction.
[00:26:52] And there's lots of review processes in place, which I think is what the Supreme Court is inclined to keep in place. But it's certainly been a hot topic, I should say, in the legal community about whether these unelected judges should have the right to really block an entire nation's policy or presidential activity for the entire country. It's an exorbitant power, in my opinion. And a district judge has that district, but then to make it nationwide is one issue.
[00:27:21] Let me take another one, because an injunction, for example, Donald Trump said, we are going to pause sending money out until we know that that money should be sent out. When the judge issues an injunction, he says, no, you have to send the money out. Okay, let's say that then we decide that that money went for a transgender comic book, which actually was one of those funding grants, or it was for a DEI opera.
[00:27:48] And then later they decide, well, the money shouldn't have been sent. Well, the money already went out the door. So there's a couple of other problems with that. And back to the other one you just mentioned, again, we want to give due to the Chief Justice, John Roberts, who talks about we have an appeal process. But that could be a process that could take a year or two simply to eventually get a ruling in favor
[00:28:14] of the executive branch, in favor of the president, who, last time I read the Constitution, said is the person in charge of the executive branch. Your thoughts? That's right. You know, I believe one of the justices, I believe it was Justice Alito, mentioned, you know, that one single district judge in the United States cannot force the United States government to spend taxpayer dollars abroad. That's, you know, definitely a separation of powers issue.
[00:28:42] But these issues have to come to the surface. You know, ultimately the Supreme Court needs to rein in injunctions. Justice Thomas has mentioned, as well as Justice Gorsuch, that they don't think that this is a constitutional power. And it's a power that's been really in the Obama era and since increasing. This trend where these local judges make these decisions for the entire country.
[00:29:07] And so you're right to say that we have some separation of power issues here, where are the lines between how the executive branch can function and the courts can weigh in and stop that function. And those are no doubt decisions we're going to see come to light with how many cases have been filed against President Trump's administration. Colin, again, these are the kind of conversations that we'll get into in more depth in the future. But at the moment, we have something that's really on the table that we need to address.
[00:29:34] We do, and that's our dollar-for-dollar match. Still $1,355 of that remaining. So any gift right now up to $1,355 can be matched double for double, dollar-for-dollar rather. And that is a great time to get involved. Let me focus for just a moment on those of you who've never given before. Maybe you've been listening for years. We had a gentleman I mentioned in the last hour that called late yesterday afternoon. He said, how much do you need to hit your goal for yesterday afternoon? It was about $350.
[00:30:05] He said, I've been listening for years. I've never given to point of view before, but I'm going to give you that $350 to meet your goal. And he did that. His name was Kelly. I want to encourage you, if you're a Kelly, if you're someone that's been listening for years and you've never given, now is a great time. Don't be discouraged by that. Don't be embarrassed by that. Use this opportunity while we have matching dollars on the table to double the impact of your gift. At 800-347-5151.
[00:30:35] 800-347-5151. Chelsea, just before I let you go, I thought maybe you could share your vision for the fact that we do have and have had for many years this Millennial Roundtable. You've been gracious enough to actually be the individual pulling that together, getting the various guests and talking about these issues. But it does seem to me that if we're talking about this next generation, as I started the program, I said, kind of have a trifecta here. We have the young voices. We have the female voices.
[00:31:04] We also have the pro-life voices. But in some respects, come back to the young voices because we've always wanted to reach the next generation. And that's something you've been talking about and working at through the various Millennial Roundtable programs that you've actually put together. Yes, it's something I'm also so passionate about is just my peers who've been inundated with, frankly, liberal media outlets and so much noise.
[00:31:30] You can essentially create any silo you want through social media, get whatever information you want. Just to have an objective place to have these conversations and a place where truth is always going to rise to the surface if you're seeking that. But for my fellow generation, we know Gen Z, the younger generation, is perhaps even more conservative than the oldest generation. But right now, the millennials are who we're losing. And that generation, we've got to change culture. We've got to change hearts and minds. And it starts with a discussion.
[00:32:00] Well, again, that's one more reason I would say, Colin, for people to support Point of View. A lot of times they say, well, what about the future? I said, well, future looks good. You know, I'm really concerned by some of the young people. Do you listen to the Millennial Roundtable? Well, that's going to give you an encouragement, right? That is absolutely encouraging and so important, again, for reaching those next generations for Christ. And what Chelsea has just shared, what we heard from Liberty last hour about reaching kids and grandkids and the next generation.
[00:32:28] So grateful to Chelsea for what she does, for Liberty, for the podcast she does. That is how Point of View, in one way, is reaching out for the next generations. We'd love to hear from you right now. We've still got $1,055 now. $1,055 on the table. It's a dollar-for-dollar match. Every gift of every size gets the Point of View bookmark.
[00:32:51] If you give it a $30 a month or more level, we've got the booklets for you, including that latest one from Liberty on chemical abortion. So many other gifts. You can see them online at pointofview.net. But most importantly right now, let's not leave any of those matching dollars on the table. $1,055 to go at 800-347-5151. Chelsea, again, thank you for being with us. And let me just, as we go out to the break, talk about, again, you wouldn't leave dollars on a table and walk away.
[00:33:21] And that's exactly what we're doing. So now is a perfect time to make that phone call. I see at least one or two people waiting for the calls, waiting for a phone to ring. So let's make it ring. And as we go to a break, once again, remind all of you that it is Anchored to Truth, 1-800-347-5151. We'll back with a wrap-up right after this.
[00:33:58] Point of View, keeping you anchored to truth. Brent Randall here, general manager of KYCC Radio in Stockton, California. And we have been airing Point of View, I believe, since 1986 with the late Marlon Maddox and now with Kirby Anderson. We have a lot of our donors and supporters and listeners that tune in to KYCC because of Point of View.
[00:34:27] We really appreciate the long-term relationship with Kirby and all the team there at Point of View. And we're glad to play the show every midday here at KYCC. We highly encourage every Point of View listening member to support them here during their fundraising season and keep Kirby and all the team on the air for the long haul. We love playing them here at KYCC. Point of View, anchored to truth.
[00:34:57] Yes, Brent Randall. And again, we're going to talk about the fact that they have their 50th anniversary banquet. And I just noticed it says sold out. So that is good news for them. But again, we look forward to seeing many of you in California. That takes place in May. We'll talk more about that when it gets closer. But we only have a few minutes left. And first of all, Colin, how are we doing? We met the match. $3,000 came in. So that dollar-for-dollar match has been met.
[00:35:23] I want to thank, first of all, the donor who made the $3,000 matching challenge available. But then I want to thank all of you who gave to make sure that $3,000 was cared for. In just the last few moments, Melinda in Georgia gave a gift of $1,000. Thank you for that, Melinda. Cecilia in South Carolina, $200 gift. Kim in California, $100. Dagmar in Georgia, $20. And Vicki in South Carolina, $50. All of you just giving gifts.
[00:35:52] And we are so grateful for that. Well, again, let's, if we can, go very quickly to our vice president of stewardship, Jenna Weidler. And, Jenna, you've been listening and watching the program. So I'd love to get your thoughts about what we can do to meet the goal today. Yes. Hi, Kirby. As a matter of fact, I've been answering phone calls. So I've been staying pretty busy. We appreciate everybody that has called in so far.
[00:36:17] And I can tell you that we have over 200 stations that carry your commentaries or the point-of-view show for the full two hours or maybe just one hour of it. So we've got over 200 stations. Hundreds and hundreds of people listen to us. We have hundreds of people on our donor list. But we haven't heard from very many yet.
[00:36:39] So we are hoping that we will have 300 people call in with a $30 a month commitment. Be on our truth team. Be a partner with point-of-view so that we can continue to keep biblical clarity and truth across this nation. We just really need help. And if we haven't heard from you yet, we are really hoping you will pick up the phone and call or go to pointofview.net and give online.
[00:37:09] It is so easy. And we truly need every gift. Absolutely. Now is a great time to call in it. We're running out of time on this day three of Truth Team Week. Again, five days this week. We are on Wednesday. It's the third day. We're in the final moments of the third day live broadcast. So we need to hear from you right now.
[00:37:30] Let's see if we can fill up all these phones another time or two before we go off the air at 800-347-5151. 800-347-5151. Pointofview.net. How about one of those dollar-a-day gifts, that $30 a month that she was just talking about? We'd love to see that. We'd love to see some gifts of $50 a month or more, $100 a month or more.
[00:37:55] We're still looking for our first very large gift, maybe a $5,000 gift or a $10,000 gift. I know not everybody can give that, but I've had a number of opportunities to interview Wes Stafford, who ran Compassion International for many years. And he used to ask this question, how much is enough? In America, a lot of people have not figured out what is enough. That's right. But most of us have enough. In fact, the majority of the world lives on about a dollar a day.
[00:38:23] So we know most of us have enough. If you're in a situation right now where you have enough, you have some of the finer things in life, and you've got extra through either your business or maybe you're expecting some money back on your taxes or whatever the situation is, if you have some funds available, know that when you give your gift to Pointofview, it's going to make a difference for now and for eternity. It's not only going to impact your ability to listen, but others' ability to listen as well.
[00:38:52] It will impact the next generation and the next generation if we can keep it going. But we need your gift to do that. 800-347-5151. 800-347-5151. Or Pointofview.net. Again, some of you might say, well, what's coming up next? And, of course, I've already given you a little bit of an idea of some of the young voices that we've had a chance to hear from today, Liberty and Chelsea.
[00:39:17] And if you certainly believe in that, we even have a booklet on the next generation, which I give you some of the surveys of some of that material. But even to look towards tomorrow, we're going to have Lathan Watts, who is the vice president for Alliance Defending Freedom. And I think we're going to benefit from him in terms of some of the religious liberty issues, the injunctions. Also one that I'm going to have discussed tomorrow, maybe because I think Colin would like this,
[00:39:47] about the FCC and some of the Supreme Court cases that might come down and affect those of us that do radio and the rest. So I think you'll be fascinated by that and Jonathan Teague. But let me come back to Jana for just a minute, because, Jana, you're just an enthusiastic person, and people love to hear from you and pray with you. But, again, what would you say to our listeners just before we wind down this Wednesday here on Truth Team? Kirby, I would like to just encourage all of our listeners.
[00:40:14] If you give, we appreciate it, and we are just really blessed by your partnership. But if you've never given before and you've been blessed by Point of View, please stop what you're doing right now and call in. You may think your gift doesn't do much, but it does. We stretch every gift, every penny to be able to continue to get these publications out, to stay on the air. We just really need you.
[00:40:43] So you may think that your gift is insignificant, but God will multiply it and will bless us. So if you've been blessed, please turn around and bless us. Amen. First Corinthians 9, 11, Paul's talking about this same kind of thing. He says, If we sowed spiritual things in you, is it too much if we reap material things from you? He follows up in Galatians 6, 6, saying,
[00:41:09] The one who has taught the word is to share all good things with the one who teaches him. We, of course, encourage you to give to your church first, but it is biblical to give back to an organization, whether it's radio or it's a parachurch organization. It is biblical to give back to those who have blessed you. Have you been blessed and ministered to by Kirby and the crew here at Point of View? It is incumbent upon those who've been blessed to bless back.
[00:41:37] And only a couple of times a year we come to you and say, This is that time. Would you bless us? 800-347-5151. And, oh, by the way, the Bible talks about being a cheerful giver. We don't want you to give because we're twisting your arm or out of compulsion. We want you to give as a cheerful giver to Point of View, because I know I sit here with Kirby every day. He's got a smile on his face. He loves what he does and loves bringing the information to you. Would you give back? 800-347-5151.
[00:42:06] Again, one of the themes today was this next generation. And if you're concerned about the next generation, this is how I think we reach many of them through podcasts, through radio, through a variety of different venues, and certainly that is the case. So if you are really concerned about the next generation, that is the case. And as we just pointed out a minute ago, we do encourage you to cheerfully give, and we would love to hear from you. Even though we're going off the air in about a minute or two, you can still make that phone call.
[00:42:34] I'm looking over, and some are on the phone. Some are not. And so if you have said, I didn't want to miss anything, but I do want to make my pledge, well, you can do that right now. You won't miss any of that. And we'll continue answering those phone calls. Colin, as always, thank you for this. And again, 800-347-5151. 800-347-5151. As always, I'd like to thank Megan for her help engineering the program. Steve, thank you for producing the program.
[00:43:01] We need to hear from you, and we'll tell you how we did tomorrow right here on Point of View. Please do not miss this opportunity to make a difference in America. Join the Truth Team today. This week, our goal is to raise $150,000, something we've never done during Truth Team Week before.
[00:43:28] Our goal is ambitious, because the need for biblical truth in this nation is dire. Few people have a biblical worldview anymore, but you can help change that by helping bring biblical truth to this nation. One of the best ways to support Point of View is by joining the team of supporters from around the nation who give monthly to keep truth on the air. Please, do not wait.
[00:43:58] Join the Truth Team today so we can restore a biblical worldview in America together. You can join now, online at pointofview.net, or call us at 1-800-347-5151. A small investment makes a big difference. Pointofview.net and 1-800-347-5151.
[00:44:28] Point of View is produced by Point of View Ministries.
