[00:01:24] If you're not happy, you're going to be thrilled.

[00:01:26] But that's the case.

[00:01:28] That's the terms that they give you, which is amazing.

[00:01:29] And then a 10-year warranty.

[00:01:31] I have Mike from Tennessee on with me.

[00:01:33] And we're just discussing, off the air, we were just discussing,

[00:01:37] there's a lot of movies being made.

[00:01:39] And whenever I see a ton of movies being made about somebody or a music act

[00:01:44] or something in history, I'm always wondering then why they have to shove the story down my throat

[00:01:51] a hundred different ways to try to tell me a narrative about said story.

[00:01:54] Because this is why they use Hollywood for the narratives and the actors and actresses for the narratives

[00:02:01] is because we'll believe it if we keep seeing them in emotional stories.

[00:02:05] So then I'm always wondering what's the truth of that story.

[00:02:08] But what do you think about that?

[00:02:10] And what do you think about some of the movies you've seen, Mike?

[00:02:16] Well, I see the fabled enemies created one by one in my family and history and doing research.

[00:02:24] I've been able to verify this back in the 80s when I did some research.

[00:02:28] There was, in fact, a government program where they put out in the early 1800s reports on each coast

[00:02:34] claiming that wolves were invading the villages and they were attacking the people and the inhabitants.

[00:02:39] And villagers were saying, what are we going to do?

[00:02:42] And so the government created a bounty on wolves in the early 1800s, $5 gold.

[00:02:47] You kill it, you skin it, you turn it to the county and you got $5 gold.

[00:02:51] And back then, that's a lot of money.

[00:02:54] Fast forward about 10 years and they took the word wolf out and inserted the word Indian

[00:02:59] because they wanted the land that the Indians were on.

[00:03:03] So they had to put fear in these fledgling Americans that had their still beliefs from Europe

[00:03:10] of Little Red Riding Hood and Peter and Wolf.

[00:03:12] And there are still archives that show these reports in the newspapers.

[00:03:17] Indians are invading the villages, raping and pillaging.

[00:03:19] The inhabitants are saying, what are we going to do?

[00:03:22] And the government says, well, you kill them, you scalp them, you turn in your scalp and you get $5.

[00:03:28] Go to the movie Outlaw Josie Wales.

[00:03:31] And there's a scene where they're riding into town.

[00:03:33] Josie Wales and the, I believe, a Navajo woman and the Cherokee chief who called himself Stan Whitey,

[00:03:41] who's an actual historical figure.

[00:03:45] But when they got into the town, a man runs up with a handful of scalps and said, hey, would you all like to buy some scalps?

[00:03:50] Because they would sell them at half price and all you've got to do is go to the next city over where the county seat is and you can cash them in.

[00:03:59] It was a commodity.

[00:04:00] And so they were murdering human beings because of the perception that they were dangerous.

[00:04:08] These were the fabled enemies in that time.

[00:04:10] And so go to the – some people say, well, the Indians were scalping.

[00:04:14] Nope.

[00:04:14] They believed in an eye for an eye.

[00:04:16] They're very biblical people, believe it or not.

[00:04:18] Go to the movie Braveheart.

[00:04:20] In Braveheart in the 1400s, what happened there, the king had these mercenaries,

[00:04:29] and they had a head count.

[00:04:30] How do you prove that you killed a man?

[00:04:32] You showed a scalp.

[00:04:34] And if you had the scalp, they knew you killed him and you got paid.

[00:04:38] And why was that movie so important?

[00:04:42] Because you look at the way the people were living.

[00:04:46] They were under subjugation.

[00:04:47] And in this country, there were no kings.

[00:04:50] In that country, you didn't own anything.

[00:04:52] And so when you got married in his case, the landlord wanted to have his way with his wife-to-be

[00:04:59] as he claimed it was his right to do by law.

[00:05:04] Well, nobody in this country would stand for anything like that.

[00:05:07] But that's what they did in merry old England.

[00:05:09] And so if you want that type of disrespect for you and your individual sovereignty,

[00:05:17] they still let you transfer back over to Great Britain.

[00:05:20] And you can be a British subject again.

[00:05:22] And sadly, I say this, I've met people that actually believe that's the thing they would like to do.

[00:05:29] They would rather be subject than stand for their individual rights.

[00:05:34] And that is so sad.

[00:05:35] It's twisted.

[00:05:36] We don't have kings here.

[00:05:37] And we're supposed to respect not only and stand for our own rights,

[00:05:42] but respect our fellow Americans.

[00:05:44] Our fellow Americans, okay, we're all Native if we were born here,

[00:05:48] respect their individual sovereignty.

[00:05:50] And there was a movie, Dances with Wolves.

[00:05:55] And they changed it.

[00:05:57] I watched it when it first came out.

[00:06:00] And I remember, and I got a video of it.

[00:06:02] And I've still got it.

[00:06:03] It's totally different.

[00:06:04] If you go buy it now, it's got a scene that's cut.

[00:06:07] But after the buffalo hunt, when they're all sitting around the fire and they're celebrating,

[00:06:11] and the lieutenant, Kevin Costner's character, saw his hat, his lieutenant's hat,

[00:06:16] on an Indian's head, he said, hey, you got my hat.

[00:06:20] And wind blows through his hair, said...

[00:06:25] Said what?

[00:06:28] Where'd you go?

[00:06:31] Okay.

[00:06:32] Mike?

[00:06:36] I don't know what happened.

[00:06:38] He was on.

[00:06:41] Okay.

[00:06:42] Well, hopefully he'll ring us back.

[00:06:45] Mike?

[00:06:47] Okay.

[00:06:48] That was odd.

[00:06:49] So just as he was getting ready to say said thing.

[00:06:54] Hmm.

[00:06:55] Very interesting.

[00:06:56] Mike, are you there?

[00:07:00] The line seems to still be on, but I don't...

[00:07:03] I am not hearing him.

[00:07:04] Mike from Tennessee, are you still there?

[00:07:09] Huh.

[00:07:09] Okay.

[00:07:10] Well, maybe he'll call back.

[00:07:12] Let's hope.

[00:07:13] I want to hear what the change was.

[00:07:14] Now I'm all curious.

[00:07:16] Oh, gosh.

[00:07:18] But I do know they go back and change movies.

[00:07:20] They change books.

[00:07:23] And...

[00:07:23] Yeah, that's so weird.

[00:07:25] Okay.

[00:07:25] So they change books.

[00:07:26] They change movies.

[00:07:27] Everything.

[00:07:28] And also, when they're trying to cram down a storyline down your throat,

[00:07:32] watch how many movies will be made about said subject.

[00:07:35] Because whenever they do that, whenever they have to put it in lights,

[00:07:40] whenever they have to highlight, highlight, highlight,

[00:07:43] you know something's wrong.

[00:07:45] Like, you know something's wrong with that story.

[00:07:48] Which part of it is wrong.

[00:07:50] Right?

[00:07:51] Especially when I talked about...

[00:07:54] When I talked about the story of Bob Dylan.

[00:07:59] The beginning of his story does not add up.

[00:08:01] The story of the Beatles.

[00:08:02] How they were found.

[00:08:03] I did a deep dive on that.

[00:08:04] That story does not add up.

[00:08:06] Okay?

[00:08:08] The Beatles never wrote an actual song of their own.

[00:08:13] In fact, they sang a sort of like...

[00:08:16] What is it?

[00:08:16] Like an old Scottish sort of lullaby.

[00:08:19] And that is what sold the record company on wanting to make a deal, Brian Epstein.

[00:08:24] So there's so many things about the Beatles that actually do not add up.

[00:08:30] And I'm so hoping that Mike calls back.

[00:08:33] I really am.

[00:08:34] Because I want to hear how that story ends.

[00:08:37] With dances.

[00:08:39] And I wondered if anyone else out there has the video of that.

[00:08:42] That's kind of fascinating, isn't it?

[00:08:45] Does that video exist?

[00:08:47] I don't know.

[00:08:47] So anyway, yeah.

[00:08:51] Do you have an early video?

[00:08:53] That's kind of interesting, isn't it?

[00:08:55] So when I come back, I want to talk about the AP News.

[00:08:59] Because I want to talk about a story they put out today.

[00:09:03] And you can go look at this story.

[00:09:05] But I want to show you what I mean by taking you for a little ride down a lane that speaks to telling you how to feel.

[00:09:15] And putting forth an idea in your head about something rather than just giving you the facts.

[00:09:22] I want to describe this to you.

[00:09:24] And hopefully we'll hear back from Mike from Tennessee as well to finish out that story on Dances with Wolves.

[00:09:33] Now I'm intrigued.

[00:09:34] So now I have to know the end of that story.

[00:09:37] All right.

[00:09:38] So be right back.

[00:09:39] Kate Daly Show.

[00:09:41] katedalyradio.com.

[00:09:42] Coming right back with you.

[00:09:44] katedalyradio.com.
