3544 – December 26, 2024 – Christmas Wishes – (This is an encore presentation of our 12/19/24 show) These are changing times – perhaps some are good and perhaps some are not so good… or maybe I’m just getting “set in my ways.” As you all know, this year’s Thanksgiving was a full house for me, which means next year will not be. I wanted to make things as fun and memorable for all especially the children… as they are making great memories amongst themselves. A memory I have from childhood is the Sears and Roebuck Wish Book – we would go through that book until the pages were frayed or falling apart. WELL, I (current resident) received a wish book of sorts just before thanksgiving gathering – it was small… but a wish book none the less… from Amazon! When I showed my youngest son, he said, “Yeah, my girls already received one and have it all marked up with “wants and wishes.”
So catalogs change BUT kids do not! With want and sparkle in our eyes, we’d mark page after page and item (toy) after item…. Mom would say, you can’t have all those things. Santa has other children on his list too you know! As an adult my eyes still gleam at pretty things BUT as an adult… I know I can’t have it all….
Congress, however, makes a wish list that is outrageously gargantuanly large and long! I suppose they believe we the people are their Santa Claus. I wrote new lyrics to honor their 1,547 page “CR” yesterday…. BUT it seems “their mother” told them you can’t have all of that… AND their self-written catalog has been sent back to the printers or writers.

[00:00:01] Hey, where are you going? I gotta get home. America, it's time to come home. It's time to come home. By bringing common sense back into the nonsense. Welcome to Common Sense Coalition Talk Radio, where America comes home.
[00:00:21] Down this dirt road, you're going to find determination and grit, opinions that matter, and a big ol' helping of good discernment.
[00:00:28] And now, the woman that wishes the D.C. occupiers would stop making her use her mom voice.
[00:00:34] Do not make me come down there.
[00:00:35] Here's your host, and the voice of common sense, Beth Ann.
[00:00:41] And I welcome you today to CSC Talk Radio. It's my honor, my privilege, and my pleasure to be here with you today.
[00:00:47] We're going to go straight to the Lord in prayer.
[00:00:49] For such a time as this, O most gracious Heavenly Father, we come to you with humble hearts and grateful hearts,
[00:00:59] praising you and thanking you for your love, your grace, and your mercy.
[00:01:08] Father, we thank you for your forgiveness, for that plan of salvation, that good news.
[00:01:16] We don't have to stay captive to our own sins, that we can be made free.
[00:01:24] And we know, Father, liberty actually comes from you.
[00:01:28] Not from a government.
[00:01:30] Not from a people.
[00:01:32] Not from a document.
[00:01:34] But from you, Heavenly Father.
[00:01:38] And Father, I pray that you will bless today's show and bless Melody as we try to have some fun here today.
[00:01:44] As well as encourage others to invest.
[00:01:49] And Father, I pray for your protection around President Donald J. Trump, his family, and all those who are around him.
[00:01:58] Father, give them godly counsel.
[00:02:01] Keep them wise as to what is the need for the larger picture of this nation and the world.
[00:02:12] And Father, I pray for peace in the hearts of people who are fearful right now for the unknown things that are happening.
[00:02:21] We never know what tomorrow will bring.
[00:02:25] And I pray, Father, that we will lean on you and not on our own understandings.
[00:02:31] And not on our own abilities and knowledge, but on you.
[00:02:36] Give us that hunger and thirst for your righteousness and your word.
[00:02:41] And may we always be drawn to prayer, to commune with you, Father.
[00:02:45] For that is where we find peace.
[00:02:50] For such a time as this, I pray in Jesus' name.
[00:02:54] Amen.
[00:02:56] I titled today Christmas Wishes.
[00:02:58] I know we got a couple of days yet, but it's Christmas Wishes.
[00:03:02] These times are changing.
[00:03:04] I don't know if you've noticed it or not.
[00:03:05] Perhaps some of it is good.
[00:03:07] Perhaps some of it is not so good.
[00:03:09] Or maybe I'm just getting old and set my ways.
[00:03:12] I'm not sure.
[00:03:13] As you all know, this year's Thanksgiving was a full house for me.
[00:03:17] Which means next year won't be.
[00:03:20] I wanted to make things as fun and memorable for the, especially the children, as I possibly could.
[00:03:27] And the reason I feel that way is because I realize now that some of my older grandchildren are talking about all the memories they made at my house.
[00:03:36] Well, they're making great memories amongst themselves, those cousins.
[00:03:41] Cousins are pretty special, you know.
[00:03:43] I lost one last week.
[00:03:46] He was battling cancer and he's gone beyond.
[00:03:50] He's not hurting anymore.
[00:03:52] But I have memories of these cousins when we went to Grandma's house and played.
[00:03:56] A memory I have from my childhood was the Sears and Roebuck catalog.
[00:04:01] The wish book.
[00:04:03] We would go through that.
[00:04:04] Now there was five of us, kiddos.
[00:04:05] And we would go through that book until the pages were frayed and falling apart.
[00:04:09] Well, I current resident, I received a wish book of sorts just before Thanksgiving.
[00:04:19] It was small, not big like the one we used to get.
[00:04:22] But it was nonetheless a wish book from Amazon.
[00:04:27] When I showed my youngest son, who has the youngest children, he said,
[00:04:33] Oh yeah, my girls already received one and have it all marked up with wants and wishes.
[00:04:36] And I just had to laugh out loud.
[00:04:38] Maybe the book has changed.
[00:04:40] Maybe the company has changed.
[00:04:42] But children have not changed at all.
[00:04:46] We would go through that book and just mark and mark and mark with wants and with sparkling eyes.
[00:04:52] We'd mark a page and then another page and an item, a toy here, a toy there.
[00:04:57] And mom would say, You know you can't have all those things.
[00:05:00] Santa has other children on his list too.
[00:05:03] As an adult, my eyes still gleam and glitter at pretty things.
[00:05:08] But as an adult, I also know I can't have it all.
[00:05:12] Congress.
[00:05:13] Yeah, I jumped there, didn't I?
[00:05:16] However, makes a wish list too.
[00:05:18] That is outrageously, gancho and large and long.
[00:05:23] I suppose they believe we the people are their Santa Claus.
[00:05:27] I wrote some lyrics to a song yesterday in honor of their 1547 page continuing resolution.
[00:05:38] But it seems their mother must have told them, You can't have all of that.
[00:05:43] And their self-written catalog has been sent back to the printers or to the writers.
[00:05:48] I wrote the song yesterday and they fortunately have made my lyrics obsolete.
[00:05:55] For a time anyway.
[00:05:57] So I'm going to share the lyrics of this song.
[00:06:00] And no, Rudy, I'm not going to sing it.
[00:06:02] He wanted me to sing it.
[00:06:04] I told him no, I wasn't.
[00:06:04] But it's to the tune of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.
[00:06:10] So here it goes.
[00:06:11] Have yourself a merry little Christmas.
[00:06:14] Our work here is done.
[00:06:16] We have spent your money into oblivion.
[00:06:19] Have yourself a merry little Christmas.
[00:06:22] Though inflation's high, fewer presents will your money buy.
[00:06:26] We are here as in olden days, spending golden days like your.
[00:06:32] Faithless friends who are near with us, lobby here with us once more.
[00:06:37] Continuing resolutions we gift you, wrapped in an omnibus bow.
[00:06:42] We don't write or read the bills.
[00:06:45] We just vote and home we go.
[00:06:47] So here we are as in olden days, spending golden days like your.
[00:06:52] Faithless friends who are near with us, lobby here with us once more.
[00:06:56] Through the years we've spent a lot of money.
[00:07:01] Nonpartisan through and through.
[00:07:03] Cross the aisles we've reached into your pockets.
[00:07:06] It's true.
[00:07:08] So we'll have ourselves a merry little Christmas.
[00:07:13] Taxed to you.
[00:07:16] And with that, I'm going to bring on Melody because she loves it when I write songs.
[00:07:20] Oh, I know.
[00:07:21] You always bring me on and it's like, well, how can I follow that?
[00:07:25] Well, you can sing it for me.
[00:07:28] Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no.
[00:07:32] I might be named Melody, but.
[00:07:36] You know, I wanted to name a little girl Melody, but I never had a little girl, so I couldn't name her Melody.
[00:07:42] Oh.
[00:07:43] My boys just didn't go for that, I don't think.
[00:07:45] It might have been like naming a boy Sue.
[00:07:47] You know, they might have had to be pretty rough and tumble.
[00:07:52] But I do want us to share Christmas wishes, maybe a memory that you have from childhood.
[00:07:58] I know you told me in a text that we talked about them before, but I'm going to try and bring another one out of you.
[00:08:04] I know you have more memories than just those two.
[00:08:08] And we had some, I don't know if Christmas was big at your house or not.
[00:08:13] It was big in a way that we were all excited.
[00:08:15] We didn't necessarily get showered with gifts, but there was five of us.
[00:08:21] Mom and Dad couldn't afford that.
[00:08:22] But do you remember the wish book?
[00:08:25] Did you go through the wish book and tear it up like we did?
[00:08:28] Well, we did that for everything, even school clothes in the beginning of the school year and so forth.
[00:08:35] So, yeah, the Sears book got lots of use.
[00:08:39] Sears and Roebuck was the Amazon of the day, was it not?
[00:08:42] I mean, everything came from Sears just about.
[00:08:45] We had, my daddy called it Monkey Wards.
[00:08:47] We had, Wards was also a thing, but we didn't shop there as much.
[00:08:52] It was always Sears and Roebuck.
[00:08:54] And, of course, we were in Kansas City, so it wasn't too far.
[00:08:57] It was downtown down there, big old Sears and Roebuck building.
[00:09:02] So, anyway, we're headed into a break.
[00:09:04] You're listening to CST Talk Radio.
[00:09:06] We have Melody Cederstrom on today, and all that glitters is gold and silver when we're talking to Melody.
[00:09:14] So, we will talk about gold and silver, but we're going to share some Christmas memories and hope that they'll warm your heart and bring up some memories of your own that are good.
[00:09:24] We don't want to share any bad ones.
[00:09:26] There are bad Christmases.
[00:09:27] We're just going to leave those out for now.
[00:09:29] You're listening to CST Talk Radio.
[00:09:31] This is Beth Ann with Melody Cederstrom.
[00:09:33] We are the two, and we will be right here for you.
[00:09:37] We'll be right back.
[00:10:04] Read all about it.
[00:10:05] The American Crisis Continues.
[00:10:08] In her new book, The American Crisis Continues, Beth Ann elaborates on the crises America faces today.
[00:10:15] Invasion at the border, insurrections, lawlessness, climate change, and the cry for democracy.
[00:10:22] These are the times that try men's souls.
[00:10:24] Thomas Paine's words continue to speak to Americans today.
[00:10:28] We the people once again find ourselves under tyranny.
[00:10:31] In The American Crisis Continues, you'll glean wisdom from our founding fathers and an understanding why belief in Creator God is the foundation of this nation.
[00:10:42] Liberty is always in the hands of the people, but first, it must be a longing and a lust within their hearts.

[00:11:02] Scripture warns us that there will be a day of judgment for our lives.
[00:11:06] Our works will be exposed by fire, which will reveal the foundation of our building.
[00:11:10] Figuratively speaking, have we been building with wood, hay, and stubble, which are perishable?
[00:11:14] Or have we been using gold, silver, and precious stones, which are permanent?
[00:11:18] In this life, there will be a day of judgment for our failing economic system.
[00:11:22] When the economy collapses, will your assets be in paper, which will burn?
[00:11:26] Or will you have a permanent foundation of gold and silver securing your assets?
[00:11:31] Fiat dollars are IOUs from the government, but gold and silver are the tangible assets that protect your wealth.
[00:11:38] Owning gold and silver is the permanent solution to a permanent problem in our economy, fiat dollars and debt.

[00:12:02] Did you hear that?
[00:12:04] That's the sound of energy, and America has plenty.

[00:13:05] And we have returned.
[00:13:06] You're listening to CSC Talk Radio.
[00:13:08] This is Beth Ann.
[00:13:08] Well, there's a lot of hoopla going on, and I did want to kind of have some Christmas fun today.
[00:13:15] But the breaking news, and it's just a very little bit, but they kicked her fanny out.
[00:13:20] Fonnie Willis has been disqualified from prosecuting Trump, so she's off the list.
[00:13:25] And it's breaking news, so they didn't have a whole lot about it other than the judge said,
[00:13:31] After carefully considering the trial court's findings in its order, we conclude that it erred by failing to disqualify D.A. Willis and her office.
[00:13:42] So she's out.
[00:13:45] Breaking news.
[00:13:46] It has nothing to do with Christmas, but it's breaking news.
[00:13:51] I don't know why everybody didn't think it would be any surprise.
[00:13:55] I've talked to many customers and so forth, and everybody thought he was going to jail, and it says nothing's going to happen.
[00:14:00] Nothing's going to happen to any of those things, and they've all been dropped.
[00:14:05] Yeah, and that's what they wanted to happen.
[00:14:09] Yeah, of course, we're still dealing with some of it.
[00:14:12] They're still trying to hang it all over him.
[00:14:15] The battle is just amazing to me.
[00:14:17] I don't know if you find it that way, because you see a little bit more, I think, sometimes than I do.
[00:14:22] I tend to be a little more laid back at times.
[00:14:26] But, you know, we've had so many things going on, and here we are approaching an end of the year as well.
[00:14:32] And it's like I was going through some of the top news yesterday as I was preparing for my January 1st show.
[00:14:40] And some of the things they considered top, I didn't necessarily consider the top news.
[00:14:45] And then one thing that was on there I'd forgotten all about.
[00:14:48] And it's, you know, what a difference a day makes, I guess.
[00:14:53] But, yeah, it's just amazing to me what is happening.
[00:14:58] And what do you think about all these drones in the sky?
[00:15:04] You think that's a distraction?
[00:15:07] Or do you think something's really going on?
[00:15:09] I do believe it's probably a private corporation.
[00:15:12] That's what I believe.
[00:15:13] But I don't know what's going on.
[00:15:15] And, you know, the less the government has to say about it, the more concerned I do become.
[00:15:21] I don't know what concerns me most, the fact that they won't talk about it or the fact that maybe they really don't know.
[00:15:28] Well, remember when there was the rumor going around a year or two ago that Amazon was going to use drones for their deliveries?
[00:15:36] Maybe it's Amazon.
[00:15:37] No, I don't think so either.
[00:15:38] But I thought I'd throw that one out there.
[00:15:40] But, I mean, the problem I have is they're trying to get the public to accept.
[00:15:47] Stir it up?
[00:15:48] No, they're trying to get the public to accept them viewing the drones.
[00:15:56] That it's just a normal thing.
[00:16:00] And because they don't worry about it.
[00:16:03] That's what they're saying.
[00:16:04] Don't worry about it.
[00:16:05] It's no threat.
[00:16:05] And if it was a threat, we'd let you know, blah, blah, blah.
[00:16:09] So my point is, will the public accept it?
[00:16:14] I think it's creepy.
[00:16:16] I think it is, too.
[00:16:17] I agree with you.
[00:16:18] I agree with you.
[00:16:19] Is it just another type of spying?
[00:16:22] You know, what is actually going on?
[00:16:24] You know, it is fine because the drones just don't fly up there doing nothing.
[00:16:29] They're viewing nothing.
[00:16:30] Any more than the balloon went across this nation and did nothing.
[00:16:35] The Chinese balloon.
[00:16:36] It's doing the same nothing, yes.
[00:16:38] Yeah, same nothing because it's collecting everything.
[00:16:41] It's collecting everything.
[00:16:43] It's viewing.
[00:16:43] It's collecting.
[00:16:44] It's, you know, so even if it is a private corporation or something, I definitely do believe the government knows what it is and who it is.
[00:16:56] I think they do.
[00:16:57] There's just no way that they wouldn't.
[00:17:01] Well, I guess time will tell.
[00:17:03] We don't know.
[00:17:03] And maybe by next week we will know.
[00:17:05] I don't know.
[00:17:06] It's interesting, though, what's going on.
[00:17:13] So going back to Christmas wishes, I know we've talked about memories before, and I want you to kind of share that again for the new listeners that maybe hadn't heard that before.
[00:17:25] We kind of get a kick out of what we do remember.
[00:17:28] And so what's your Christmas memory?
[00:17:33] A good one.
[00:17:37] Uh-oh.
[00:17:38] I lost her.
[00:17:39] Well, I have to thank.
[00:17:41] All right.
[00:17:42] Okay.
[00:17:43] I think one of the most fun, Christmas Eve, we always went out to our grandparents' house.
[00:17:49] Oh, okay.
[00:17:49] And they lived out in the country.
[00:17:52] Over the river and through the woods.
[00:17:53] And I can read, pardon?
[00:17:54] Over the river and through the woods.
[00:17:56] Over the woods.
[00:17:57] Correct.
[00:17:58] And I remember my grandfather, the adults in the room in the house, made us kids go outside.
[00:18:11] And he had these big jingle bells.
[00:18:14] And he rang the jingle bells.
[00:18:16] And, of course, we all thought it was Santa.
[00:18:19] And, you know, we had to look for Santa and everything like that.
[00:18:24] So I thought that was the sweetest.
[00:18:26] It is.
[00:18:27] That is so cool.
[00:18:28] Oh, I remember when my kids were little, we were going to Albert's parents.
[00:18:35] We were in the country.
[00:18:37] And there was some red light.
[00:18:40] I'm sure it was an airplane blinking, not a drone, but an airplane blinking up in the sky.
[00:18:46] And we said, oh, do you think that's Rudolph's nose?
[00:18:51] And he got all excited.
[00:18:52] He was pretty little.
[00:18:54] And I want to say he was younger than five.
[00:18:57] And he looked up the fireplace.
[00:19:00] We didn't have a fire in it that particular time.
[00:19:03] And I'm sure he saw the damper that you move back and forth.
[00:19:07] And he was anxious.
[00:19:09] He thought he saw something up there.
[00:19:12] We had a hard time getting him to sleep that night.
[00:19:17] But we didn't have a jingle bells.
[00:19:19] That would have been even cooler to do the jingle bells.
[00:19:21] But you do like to sleep.
[00:19:23] I can still remember the jingle bells.
[00:19:26] That is awesome.
[00:19:28] That's just awesome.
[00:19:29] But, you know, it was interesting being out at my grandparents on Christmas Eve.
[00:19:34] They gave me my first Bible.
[00:19:36] Oh, neat.
[00:19:37] They gave me my necklace that had a, not all one year, but another year they gave me a necklace that had a picture of Jesus on.
[00:19:48] And I still have that.
[00:19:50] I wonder why Christmas present that people were given when they were six, seven, and eight.
[00:19:58] That they kept.
[00:20:00] That they still have.
[00:20:03] Well, I can't say that because I lost everything in a fire back in 1983.
[00:20:10] But I did have some things.
[00:20:12] My grandmother had started on my mother's side giving my sister and I one piece of silver, silverware.
[00:20:21] And the pattern that I had was called damask rose.
[00:20:27] And I only got nine spoons before she just couldn't afford to do that anymore.
[00:20:32] Now, I think my sister still has her silver.
[00:20:35] But I lost mine.
[00:20:37] But I still remember that.
[00:20:39] I opened, I looked forward to opening that spoon.
[00:20:45] I had spoons.
[00:20:46] It was spoons first and then you go on.
[00:20:47] And I don't know how many my sister has.
[00:20:50] She's nine years older than me.
[00:20:51] So it started before and I only got nine of them.
[00:20:56] But I remember that because I looked forward to it.
[00:20:59] I knew what I was going to get.
[00:21:01] And I looked forward to that.
[00:21:04] And, you know, there was five of us.
[00:21:07] I had three brothers and an older sister.
[00:21:10] And I had two older brothers and one younger brother.
[00:21:12] And Daddy worked on Christmas usually.
[00:21:15] He worked at Owens Corning Fiberglass and they did rotating shifts.
[00:21:19] So you didn't get off unless it just happened to land on your day off.
[00:21:23] And got paid triple time on them holidays.
[00:21:26] So, yeah, Daddy would go ahead and work.
[00:21:28] So, but one Christmas they had bought my brothers some kind of electronic airplanes.
[00:21:38] I don't know that they may have really flown.
[00:21:41] I don't remember that.
[00:21:44] But Dad, I don't think Mom was very happy with him.
[00:21:47] When he came in, Mom had already, Santa had already been there.
[00:21:51] And he decided to start up one of those motors and woke all the kids up.
[00:21:56] And we were all out there.
[00:21:57] And that was the year I got a bride doll.
[00:21:59] Did you ever have a bride doll?
[00:22:01] What?
[00:22:04] That's not one of your memories.
[00:22:05] I liked my bride doll.
[00:22:07] They let me take her to bed with me.
[00:22:08] So I had to go back to bed because it was like 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning.
[00:22:13] But Christmas when you're a child is exciting.
[00:22:17] And, you know, my kids I'm sure have memories.
[00:22:20] I'm not sure which ones they remember.
[00:22:23] We didn't go to Grandma's and Grandpa's like you did.
[00:22:26] They were too far away.
[00:22:28] And we didn't go there.
[00:22:29] But when my kids were little, we were always home Christmas Day.
[00:22:36] And the one thing we would do before Christmas was Christmas tree,
[00:22:41] was decorate the Christmas tree.
[00:22:42] And as soon as it was decorated, I turned the lights out.
[00:22:45] And we sang Christmas carols to the words that we could remember.
[00:22:49] Usually it was Silent Night was the last one.
[00:22:51] But we'd sing Joy to the World and da-da-da.
[00:22:53] And on Christmas Day, even with the chaos or Christmas Eve,
[00:22:58] we would try to read out of Luke and read the Christmas story to the kids.
[00:23:02] And we still try to do that.
[00:23:03] We just, it gets pretty chaotic now with 17 grandchildren and all.
[00:23:07] They won't all be home this year.
[00:23:09] But Quint came home with his five girls on Thanksgiving.
[00:23:13] And they won't make it back for Christmas from South Carolina.
[00:23:17] But memories are fun.
[00:23:19] And I have something fun I want to share with you.
[00:23:22] And then we'll move on to some news.

[00:27:28] As a young girl, her family moved from the big city to a small rural community, where she would grow up, marry her husband, and together raise five sons.

[00:27:42] As the D.C. occupiers continue to drive our society into socialism and anarchy, the message to Bring America Home grows more crucial by the day.

[00:28:05] And we have returned.
[00:28:07] You're listening to CSE Talk Radio.
[00:28:08] This is Bethann.
[00:28:10] So, I do like to talk about my grandchildren, but I don't get to see the youngest son's kids as often since they moved to South Carolina.
[00:28:18] So, the mother will every now and then send me a pic or a conversation that one of them carried on with her.
[00:28:24] And so, this is a conversation that I thought, Melody, you might think funny.
[00:28:29] And I thought, actually, it's kind of, I don't know.
[00:28:33] I'll just read it.
[00:28:35] So, the child says, Mommy, is Santa real?
[00:28:39] And the mother answers, Well, what do you think?
[00:28:42] Is Santa real?
[00:28:43] And the child asks, Is the North Pole real?
[00:28:47] And her mother tells her, Yes, the North Pole is real.
[00:28:51] So, the child says, Well, if the North Pole is real, then Santa is real.
[00:28:56] Mom says, Yeah?
[00:28:58] Well, what do you know about Santa?
[00:29:01] The child says, Well, he has slave.
[00:29:05] A slave, the mother says.
[00:29:07] You mean a slave?
[00:29:09] Child says, That red thin thing that flies in the sky?
[00:29:13] The mother says, Yes, that's a slave, not a slave.
[00:29:16] A slave is someone who is owned by another person and does work for the person for free.
[00:29:23] The child says, Are the reindeers slaves?
[00:29:26] And the mom says, No, they're more like pets.
[00:29:30] And the child asks, Are the elves slaves?
[00:29:34] And the mom goes, Hmm, yes, I guess so.
[00:29:38] They work for Santa and probably don't get paid.
[00:29:40] So, I guess that would make them slaves.
[00:29:43] And, of course, my daughter-in-law writes me, I'm not sure how we got there.
[00:29:48] But I always think the conversations with children are very interesting.
[00:29:54] But I kind of added that I think, you know, I always thought of the elves as partners, not slaves.
[00:30:03] Anyway, I thought that was interesting.
[00:30:04] Yes, I think they could leave any time they wanted.
[00:30:07] That's the way I thought.
[00:30:08] Go to Florida.
[00:30:09] Yes.
[00:30:10] Yes.
[00:30:13] Well, we've all seen the movie where they did, you know, where they left.
[00:30:18] Or one or two of them left.
[00:30:21] Anyway, I thought it was kind of interesting.
[00:30:24] So, we have another.
[00:30:26] Go ahead.
[00:30:27] I'm sorry.
[00:30:28] No, go ahead.
[00:30:29] We have another spending bill that is looming.
[00:30:32] And I don't know how long they're going to do this.
[00:30:34] I feel like shut her down.
[00:30:36] I'm good with that.
[00:30:38] And I didn't know if you had had time to look over it.
[00:30:41] It's such a quesera, quesera.
[00:30:44] They do it all the time.
[00:30:45] That's not the right one.
[00:30:46] Quesera, quesera, quesera, whatever will be, will be.
[00:30:49] But it's just like Groundhog Day.
[00:30:52] Let's put it that way.
[00:30:52] It's like Groundhog Day, the movie, where every day is the same.
[00:30:56] Every time they pass one of these, it's the same thing.
[00:30:59] And I got kind of tickled at one of the opposing people that happened to be on Trump's team and said,
[00:31:07] how can they call it a continuing resolution when they've added all this new stuff to it?
[00:31:12] So, it's not really continuing.
[00:31:14] It's a new omnibus bill.
[00:31:16] So, I didn't know if you had time to.
[00:31:18] I know you didn't read the bill.
[00:31:20] But if you had time to sort through everything that's being said.
[00:31:25] What's?
[00:31:25] Oh, yeah.
[00:31:29] She's not back from her hip surgery yet, I don't think.
[00:31:34] Well, you know you're right.
[00:31:36] It's the same old, same old thing.
[00:31:39] And the thing of it is, they put everything and their brother in there.
[00:31:42] They'll try to throw it against the wall and see what sticks.
[00:31:46] And they know things are not going to stick.
[00:31:48] But they put it in there anyway because what they really want, that's the thing that'll stick.
[00:31:53] They put all this stupid stuff in there knowing that it's not going to get approved.
[00:31:58] But then what they really want, no one pays attention to.
[00:32:04] So, it's ridiculous.
[00:32:05] I'm worn out with it.
[00:32:07] And you know what?
[00:32:09] These politicians are disgraceful.
[00:32:12] You are.
[00:32:12] You're right.
[00:32:13] It's really sad.
[00:32:14] You know, it's really sad.
[00:32:15] And nobody says it.
[00:32:16] You have these outsiders.
[00:32:19] I mean, they're basically outsiders.
[00:32:28] And what shouldn't be cut.
[00:32:30] And you have these politicians that kind of agree with them.
[00:32:34] My point is, well, what the hell have you been doing for the past so many years?
[00:32:38] But now all of a sudden you're going to start agreeing with the things that should be cut and then it's over.
[00:32:44] You know, it's a joke.
[00:32:46] Well, it is a joke.
[00:32:47] You know, who even writes these things?
[00:32:49] Because they don't know what's in it until it gets presented to them.
[00:32:53] Aren't they the ones that are supposed to be writing it?
[00:32:55] You think?
[00:32:55] So, in my opinion, and then they write themselves a raise this time.
[00:32:58] They snuck that in there.
[00:33:00] And Trump was upset about that one.
[00:33:02] And it's like, I wouldn't mind giving them a raise if they ever worked.
[00:33:05] But they don't work.
[00:33:06] They don't even write the bills.
[00:33:07] That was a distraction to distract from everything else that's in there.
[00:33:12] And that's probably true.
[00:33:13] Because that's what everybody's going to be talking about.
[00:33:15] They're not going to be talking about the other things that are really going to get approved that are really poor for this country.
[00:33:21] Well, I was looking at some of the things that are in there.
[00:33:24] And let me see where I put that.
[00:33:27] There it is.
[00:33:28] One thing was a – well, now I can't find it.
[00:33:33] But I had to look up what it was.
[00:33:35] It was some kind of a fund.
[00:33:38] Well, I've lost it.
[00:33:40] But they have – it was a pay raise.
[00:33:44] That was at the top of it.
[00:33:45] Then it's concert ticket pricing.
[00:33:48] They're going to – I don't know why they need money to control the concert ticket pricing, but they've got to have money for that.
[00:33:53] The federal government paying the entire bill to rebuild the Francis Scott Key Bridge.
[00:34:00] Accountability for recycling and opposing fraud – composting fraud, excuse me.
[00:34:06] Feral swine eradication program.
[00:34:08] Well, that must be in Texas where they've got all those – let people get out there and shoot them.
[00:34:13] Continuation of the – this is the one I didn't know – of the wool trust fund.
[00:34:18] So this is for sheep farmers paying for juvenile delinquents to get their driver's license.
[00:34:26] Whatever happened to people being responsible and working their way up?
[00:34:31] I mean, I – no longer calling homeless adults and children homeless.
[00:34:37] They've got to have money for that?
[00:34:39] That's in this bill?
[00:34:42] No – let's see.
[00:34:43] No – extending a sheep market grant program for 2025.
[00:34:46] Well, that's what the wool thing was.
[00:34:49] So – and then the Global Engagement Center, the State Department's office dedicated to censorship.
[00:34:55] And then another $3 million to test the inspection of molasses.
[00:34:59] Stupid stuff that's in there.
[00:35:04] Talk about waste.
[00:35:05] You know, the funny thing about it is these guys are going to go in there, and they'll get a lot of those silly stuff cut.
[00:35:12] And then everybody else will applaud them.
[00:35:15] Well, I really don't care about the silly stuff.
[00:35:18] I want to know about the big stuff that really – yeah, those silly things are there.
[00:35:23] And you're absolutely right.
[00:35:25] It's a million here, a million there.
[00:35:26] And so it's not going to do anything to cut back our deficit or to cut back our debt.
[00:35:31] It's not going to do a thing.
[00:35:33] That list didn't mention the things that are several billion dollars.
[00:35:37] Now, I just – this just came up.
[00:35:39] It just flashed up while we were talking.
[00:35:41] Speaker Johnson cancels the weekend.
[00:35:43] And he's got a weekend of an appearance.
[00:35:47] He was supposed to make it at some place festival.
[00:35:51] Anyway, the shutdowns.
[00:35:52] Anyway, I guess he's going to stay and work.
[00:35:56] So I'm not feeling sorry for him at all.
[00:35:59] I'm not.
[00:36:00] No, I mean –
[00:36:00] I haven't trusted him.
[00:36:02] I haven't trusted him since they put him in there.
[00:36:04] Everybody says, well, he's supposed to be this really nice Christian man.
[00:36:08] And I'm thinking, well, so was Pence.
[00:36:10] You know, so are a lot of people.
[00:36:12] But they speak with forked tongue.
[00:36:15] They have this smooth way of talking.
[00:36:18] But they do the same thing that the rough guys do.
[00:36:22] I haven't seen any difference.
[00:36:24] Have you?
[00:36:29] You know –
[00:36:33] Well, I can't judge his spirituality, but I can judge his work, what he's doing.
[00:36:38] His actions.
[00:36:39] Yeah, absolutely.
[00:36:39] His work.
[00:36:41] And I don't know.
[00:36:43] They all proclaim they're Christians and so forth and look at all what they do.
[00:36:47] So, you know.
[00:36:48] Well, I don't doubt that he is.
[00:36:50] What I'm saying is I don't think he's brought that to work with him as far as –
[00:36:56] They're still doing the same old thing in the politics that everyone –
[00:37:00] Trying to balance any kind of a budget.
[00:37:03] And they're not even trying to take things out.
[00:37:06] They just keep – and it's like – I don't know if it's Elon or Vivek.
[00:37:10] How can they call it a continuing resolution when they added enough to it that it's a brand new omnibus bill?
[00:37:17] And I agree with them 100%.
[00:37:20] And with that, we're going to head into a break.
[00:37:23] And, you know, I wrote down this and I want to talk about this because –
[00:37:27] I like Burl Live.
[00:37:29] Silver and gold.
[00:37:30] Silver and gold.
[00:37:31] So we're going to talk about silver and gold.
[00:37:32] It does shimmer because it always holds its value.
[00:37:35] And I want to talk about that when we come back because silver bells and silver jingles in your pocket.
[00:37:42] You're listening to CSC Talk Radio.
[00:37:44] This is Beth Ann with Melody Sederstrom of Discount Gold and Silver Trading.
[00:37:47] And we're going to talk business when we come back.

[00:40:57] The American Crisis continues.
[00:41:02] The reviews are in.
[00:41:03] This is a book worth reading.
[00:41:06] A book that lays out both the fundamental issues and offers a solution.
[00:41:10] The American Crisis continues informed me about the battle between good and evil.
[00:41:15] It inspired me to get involved in the author's quest to bring America home to God, family, and country.
[00:41:21] At a time in history when America is being attacked from within by those who have a secular socialist view of America,
[00:41:28] This book quenched my thirst for a perspective of the America I know and love.
[00:41:33] Learn about America's founding principles.
[00:41:36] How do the grievances in 1776 compare to us today?
[00:41:41] Knowledge is the key defense against the vicious enemy, tyranny.
[00:41:45] The American Crisis continues.
[00:41:48] Order your copy today.
[00:41:49] Available on Amazon.
[00:41:51] E-book, paper, or hardback.
[00:41:52] Printed copies available at csetalkradio.com or call 573-796-2166.
[00:42:04] And we have returned to this talk radio.
[00:42:08] This is Beth Ann.
[00:42:08] Melody, before we start talking gold and silver, I want to tell you something that Rudy was just pointing out.
[00:42:14] Nancy Mace put on Twitter a question, kind of a poll.
[00:42:19] Do you want the government to shut down?
[00:42:23] And she's got over 7,000 people so far that have answered it, and 96% of the people said yes.
[00:42:32] They think they're scaring us when they say, oh, we're going to shut the government down.
[00:42:35] And it's like, ah, I pretty much think you're shut down most of the time.
[00:42:40] But anyway.
[00:42:41] Well, the silly thing about it is if they're going to shut it down, it's only going to be to, you know, the parks and recreation.
[00:42:47] It's not going to be anything meaningful, you know.
[00:42:50] The military still gets paid, you know, and all this and that.
[00:42:53] So they really do take it out of context.
[00:42:58] And they all get paid, even the bureaucrats that end up.
[00:43:00] Yeah, they all get paid.
[00:43:01] They just get a free vacation.
[00:43:03] And the employees that don't get paid, they get reimbursed.
[00:43:06] That's what I mean.
[00:43:07] They get it back.
[00:43:08] They get a free vacation, basically.
[00:43:10] So, you know, I could use that.
[00:43:11] I've got a lot of stuff to do yet.
[00:43:13] I'm way behind on Christmas.
[00:43:14] So, anyway, all that shimmers and silver and gold really is a good thing for Christmas.
[00:43:22] Whether you, you know, I don't ask for diamonds and stuff too much anymore.
[00:43:27] Just whatever.
[00:43:29] I've always got things I want.
[00:43:31] And then my children ask me what I want.
[00:43:32] I go, I don't know.
[00:43:35] But gold and silver.
[00:43:36] You know, I'm really to the point where I really don't want anything.
[00:43:39] What I want is just to be happy with the family.
[00:43:44] Yes, amen.
[00:43:45] You know, just, I'd rather create a memory.
[00:43:49] Oh.
[00:43:50] Than a gift.
[00:43:50] That's very well put.
[00:43:52] That, you know, people just pass around gift cards anymore, you know.
[00:43:58] When we were young, something else that I remember about Christmas, it was special to go shopping.
[00:44:04] Yes.
[00:44:05] And we went shopping.
[00:44:06] I remember shopping with my mother.
[00:44:09] It's a big deal.
[00:44:09] And it was fun to look for gifts for, because we didn't get them 20.
[00:44:15] There was one he got, and that one was to be special.
[00:44:19] And it was, or a joke, you know, something to laugh about.
[00:44:24] It's not that way anymore.
[00:44:25] Everybody just goes get gifts and be, you know, be done with it.
[00:44:30] And it's, you're right about that.
[00:44:35] And it used to be, you did get one big gift.
[00:44:39] It might have been another small one or something, but there would be one big gift.
[00:44:43] I remember one year, bicycle, I got a bicycle.
[00:44:49] You know, different things like that.
[00:44:51] We didn't buy each other gifts as far as the siblings.
[00:44:55] I didn't get a gift from my brothers or my sister or anything like that.
[00:45:00] But shopping, going to Sears and Roebuck, that's a big deal, living in Kansas City.
[00:45:05] I mean, that's a big deal.
[00:45:06] It was a big day.
[00:45:06] It was a huge building, at least that's how I saw it when I was a little kid.
[00:45:11] And, but you're right.
[00:45:12] Going Christmas shopping isn't what it used to be.
[00:45:15] And that's kind of sad, because that's time together.
[00:45:20] And that's why.
[00:45:20] It was a memory.
[00:45:22] Absolutely.
[00:45:22] It was a good memory.
[00:45:25] Absolutely.
[00:45:27] So, gold and silver is also a good gift to give.
[00:45:31] People have much of, pretty much everything else that they need.
[00:45:35] But it's better than a gift card.
[00:45:38] Let's put it that way.
[00:45:39] Right?
[00:45:40] It's a lot better than a gift card.
[00:45:42] Well, correct.
[00:45:44] And it does make a great gift.
[00:45:50] But I think people really need to think, in today's world, a gift also to themselves.
[00:45:55] When we're looking, and I don't mean for that to sound selfish, but there's a lot of folks
[00:46:01] out there who have retirement accounts, who have savings accounts, who have pensions and
[00:46:08] IRAs.
[00:46:08] We do do IRAs, discount gold and silver.
[00:46:11] But the devaluation of our currency.
[00:46:15] You might not notice that you see the inflation in the store.
[00:46:19] Government can't control that inflation unless they start controlling our currency.
[00:46:26] It's a monetary.
[00:46:28] It comes down a little bit, but it's not going to be addressed significantly.
[00:46:37] So, in the meantime, your paper dollars, you give yourself a gift and get your paper investment.
[00:46:49] I think we're going to have some very troubled times.
[00:46:52] I think the stock markets are going to, they cannot, stock markets will not happen in this
[00:47:04] next year or so.
[00:47:05] Good things are happening.
[00:47:11] The stock market is not used to, you know, the disruption.
[00:47:15] It's not used to the chaos that could happen to the various areas of this economically.
[00:47:26] So, you know, we had a big drop, 1,100 points yesterday.
[00:47:31] I know.
[00:47:32] Dow's been down 10 straight days.
[00:47:35] Nobody talks about it.
[00:47:36] So, we have some troubled times.
[00:47:40] So, you know, so if you're thinking about yourself and protecting your finances, you're
[00:47:46] also helping to protect those around you, your grandchildren.
[00:47:53] Absolutely.
[00:47:54] Absolutely.
[00:47:56] Because you've got that in your portfolio.
[00:47:58] And if something happens to you, then that goes to them.
[00:48:01] And, or should.
[00:48:03] I mean, if you've got things settled and fixed right.
[00:48:06] But I want to give you a number because we've been talking Christmas and I haven't given
[00:48:09] your number or website or anything.
[00:48:11] 1-800-375-4188.
[00:48:15] That's 1-800-375-4188.
[00:48:18] You know, I can remember your number better than I can remember mine.
[00:48:22] DGSCoins.com.
[00:48:23] That is her website.
[00:48:24] Lots of good things on her website.
[00:48:27] DGSCoins.com.
[00:48:28] Silver and gold, it's precious.
[00:48:30] That's why they call it precious metals, right?
[00:48:33] Correct.
[00:48:37] So, it is something of value that you're not going to find in a series of Roebuck catalog
[00:48:43] or an Amazon catalog or even going shopping at Walmart or whatever place you shop at, Kohl's
[00:48:49] and whatever.
[00:48:52] The gold and the silver hold its value.
[00:48:55] And I encourage all of you to do that.
[00:48:58] That's 1-800-375-4188.
[00:49:03] That's 1-800-375-4188.
[00:49:05] Now, when we were texting about memories, you said, you know what they are.
[00:49:09] It's cranberry and it's black olives.
[00:49:12] And I could not remember the black olive talk.
[00:49:15] And you said you and your cousin still laugh about that.
[00:49:18] So, I wanted you to tell your black olive story.
[00:49:21] Well, you knew about the cranberry, the jelly cranberry sauce.
[00:49:24] Yes.
[00:49:25] And when I was a kid, I mean, black olives, I mean, were served on holidays.
[00:49:31] Awesome.
[00:49:32] We just didn't go throughout the year and eat black olives.
[00:49:34] It was a special item that we had Christmas Eve at my grandfather's.
[00:49:41] There would be the black olive.
[00:49:43] And I love the black olives.
[00:49:45] And when I moved closer to my cousin, he brought up the black olives.
[00:49:49] But he remembered that too.
[00:49:51] Oh, that's awesome.
[00:49:52] That's awesome.
[00:49:52] So, we make sure we have black olives.
[00:49:55] That is so awesome.
[00:49:57] Yeah, I do.
[00:49:57] Oh, come to me.
[00:49:58] Maybe Mom and Dad didn't like black olives.
[00:50:00] I don't remember ever having them growing up.
[00:50:01] So, that's cool.
[00:50:03] Well, we're headed out.
[00:50:05] I hear the music in the background.
[00:50:07] That's me when I was in my 30s.
[00:50:09] Made a little recording.
[00:50:10] And that's my Christmas wish to everyone that we worship the King.
[00:50:15] Thank you, Melody, for all that you do.
[00:50:17] I appreciate it.
[00:50:18] Merry Christmas to you.
[00:50:19] Thank you.
[00:50:19] God bless you.
[00:50:20] Have fun.
[00:50:22] And we will see you tomorrow.

[00:51:46] Do we lack enthusiasm and understanding of the word liberty?
[00:51:49] Do we weep for liberty which we have lost?
[00:51:52] Or do we simply not understand the substance and sacrifice for which we were once privileged?
[00:51:57] Liberty.
[00:51:58] Webster defines liberty as the state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one's life, behavior, or political views.
[00:52:08] Today, we seem to want restrictions.
[00:52:11] Government micromanaging our lives?
[00:52:13] But do we realize the cost?
[00:52:16] Alexander Hamilton once stated,
[00:52:18] There is a certain enthusiasm in liberty that makes human nature rise above itself in acts of bravery and heroism.
[00:52:26] As a republic, we the people must guard the liberty of others.
[00:52:30] We must continue the enthusiasm that will make men free.

[00:52:45] What if things were made in America again?
[00:52:47] We all complain about our products, even our food coming from foreign lands and foreign laborers.
[00:52:52] But do we really understand?
[00:52:54] James Stubert didn't understand, so he dug in and wow, he kept digging in.
[00:52:58] It all started with a light bulb.
[00:53:00] It held the label GE, but it read, made in China.
[00:53:04] Jim has done the research.
[00:53:05] Now you can have the answers in detail.
[00:53:08] Consumers can rebuild the middle class by buying things made in American communities.
[00:53:12] Find out why free trade resulted in 6 million lost manufacturing jobs and lower wages for most Americans.
[00:53:19] While free trade brought cheaper goods, we also had less money to purchase goods.
[00:53:24] That giant sucking sound sucked the life right out of American manufacturing.
